Review B Merwan - Mumbai

Omkar Navalkar
Located near Grant Road railway station, usually crowded with people for Morning breakfast. Nice ambience with paintings and antiques. We tried their famous Bun Muska pav, loaded with butter. We also had Half fry omelette and cheese omelette, but cheese cubes were just placed on that. Last but not the least we had tasted Palonji's Rasberry and Ice cream flavour soda which was refreshing. Overall it's a nice place to have breakfast. If you're in a hurry, just try their Mava cake or Custard.

The owners are very generous and humble by nature. Our family is visiting them from last 4 generations! Nicely maintained. The atmosphere is nostalgic. Hygienic..my all time favorite is Bun Maska, Mawa cake & Tea..of course Mawa Samosa is their specialty.. they serve custard, Bread pudding, cake toast too!

Old Irani joint. Needless to say try out their bun maska and Brun Maska. Also Mawa cakes are the best. Simple cheese omlette or sunny side up with those pillowy soft bread will take you to another world.

Sometimes harmony and balance exist in unlikely places. One such snapshot from the past exists right opposite the grant road train station. The ambience is spartan, and the vibe, weathered. However, the warm mava cake in the morning is the perfect foil. Mildly sweet, rich but light at the same time. The veg puffs are crisp and savory. The lightness of the bread balanced by the thick butter slathered till the edges. And the tea brings it all together. The owners are likely the last of many generations of Parsi immigrants that have kept this place alive, and with them this bakery will finally be confined to memory only. But those that can, please try it before it does

It's a old memories restaurant. From school days I use to come here . Even when I was college I use to come here with friends, even now . Taste is bit change, but memories are fresh . Now u have to take coupon first and self service. But the vibes are same .when ever I get chance to come here ,I come and order everything. Eat here and take parcel too . I hope it survive many more years .

Parsi bakery B merwans & co is one of the popular bakery located in grant road B. Merwan & Co. is a legendary bakery that has been around for over a century. The bakery is known for its iconic Irani chai and mouth-watering Mawa Cakes. The bakery has a vintage charm and an old-world feel that transports you back in time. The Mawa Cakes is a must-try, with their rich, dense texture and buttery flavor. The bun maska and Irani chai are also popular, with their unique taste and aroma. The service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. Overall, B. Merwan & Co. is a must-visit for anyone who loves traditional baked goods and a touch of nostalgia. Both bakeries are highly recommended, and choosing between them is hard. If you're a fan of Mawa Cakes, you must try both and decide which one you prefer. Both bakeries have their unique charm and flavor and are definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We visited this place because of its history and it was really cool to experience sitting in a cafe that has been running for so long! The main man working here was nice and suggested that we try their marwa? Samosa and the mawa cakes with chai. It was a delicious breakfast and a great way to start our day.

A place older than the country it is in, with most things unchanged. Definitely a good Bun Maska, the rest is quite average really. We had a Half Fry with Cheese and an Omelette. Just good old fashioned Breakfast, no BS. Oh, they only take cash.
Juzer Mala
Limited items served now. I had maska pav here. Things have changed a lot. I went to refresh my old memory.

I recently visited this café after a long time. I used to frequent this place regularly while I was working in town, particularly for their tea, bun mask & mawa cake. However, I observed two significant modifications in the café.. First, they have implemented a self-service system, and second, all their items are now served in paper plates/cups, rather than ceramic plates/cups. Also, I noticed a decrease in staff, though I'm not sure why.☹ We ordered an omelet pav, chai, bun mask, and mawa cake. Despite the changes, the taste of the food remained the same, though I felt that the overall atmosphere had lost its charm. If you do visit this café, I highly recommend trying the mawa cake - it's the best.

Best place to taste the authentic mawa cake and Iranian chai

Always visit over here whenever I visit lamington road. Love their muska pav gives enough energy for next 4-5 hours. This time i visited after a long time and there were some changes. They started coupon and self service. Staff was less maybe bcoz I went in afternoon. But taste was same as before.

We are looking for Delicious and pocket friendly snacks & pastry Then Merwan shop is the one.. I itself called as a $nacks House 🏡

As I am very sweet tooth person and I can't always spend more cash on pastry then I strightly go to merwan shop. As they give best quality cakes and pastry & with a budget friendly price

I took a parcel of 1) White forest pastry 2) Butter scooth pastry
If u are not choclate lover then definitely you can go for this 2 pastry

Both the pastry were proper in sweetness . Both the cost of pastry was just 50/- . Guys just see the size of Pastry & that too just in 50 rs. It was totaly satisfaction..Proper taste, proper portion, proper quality

Thankyou Merwans cake shop for such a amazing snacks ❤️❤️❤️

Definitely this is one of the iconic places in the town and the food they serve is limited to breakfast items mostly but you got to get here when you are around town side.
Bun Maska and chai is a must try and also their Mawa Cupcakes.

Mumbai's Food Culture is incomplete without Irani Cafes. One of the such old & iconic Irani cafe is B. Merwan & Co. ( Bakers & Restaurant ).🙂

The restaurant is established in 1914 & situated just opposite to Grant Road Railway Station East. The cafe is busiest in the morning, as it is preferred by Mumbaikars for quick breakfast. Due to the popularity of the place, you may have to wait to get your table, especially in Morning times. But practically, you will not have to wait long because of the fast-moving crowd & more seating capacity.😜

We have visited this place couple of times & have tried Omelette Bread, Bhurji Bread, Bread Pudding, Bun Maska & Irani Chai.😋

The ambience is old & gives a feel of a typical Irani cafe. The service is super quick & the menu is pocket friendly.👈

Here you can get Authentic taste of Irani Cafes, thus Omelette & Bhurji are less spicy. Bun Maska & Irani Chai are good as usual. Do try their bakery items as well.✌️

Taste - 5/5 Stars
Value For Money - 5/5 Stars
Service - 4/5 Stars
Ambience - 4/5 Stars
Overall Ratings - 4.5/5 Stars 👍✌️

Highly Recommended, If You want to experience Irani Cafe.👍✌️

Best breakfast place Bun maska with Irani chai is a Must have. Also Mawa samosas are a speciality here. If need a healthy meal go for double ommlet fry.

It was an amazing experience at b merwan cafe. Mostly the crowd consists of office goers. I ordered almost everything available and let me tell you, the taste is authentic, amazing and you never would have tasted a mawa cake like the one you get here. Overall it was great eating here. 👍
Kumarz97
i have tried falooda with ice cream, double omlette and fry bread slice, mava and cheese cake(must try),sev gathia plate, sweet bun and bun butter. good for quick bites
Anushka Etane
One of the oldest parsi places. We had veg patties, bun maska, omelette, mava cake and irani chai. Everything was just amazing. But given a choice, patties and mava cake was my favourite. There are many other types of cakes which you can try like the carrot cake which I saw while leaving. As the place is quite famous, it is flooded in the morning and you have to rush with your breakfast. That might be a negative. The service is super quick as everything is already ready. Must try: Veg patties

Service: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Taste: 4/5

It is places like these that make Mumbai what it is.
Quaint irani cafe with the old cafe vibe.
Best omelettes and pavs.
Visit early in the morning because they run out of stuff later. Especially mawa cakes.
Has the best owners ( one of the owners, a gentleman around 70 offered his chair to a lady ), has my heart ❤

Located just outside Grant Road East Station; B Merwan is one of the oldest Iranian Bakery which is famous for its bun maska and tea. Their cakes are still sold at the same old prices and the food quality is maintained.
Tejas @Gujjubhaifoodstories
B Merwan is one of the oldest irani bakary I know. Known for the maska pav, chai, puff and their special mawa cake. You need to go get them before 8am or it's all finished. Super delicious and very tasty. Been under renovation lately, but their cakes area still being sold at the same pace.

Worth visiting them , right outside of Grantroad railway station in the East.

Mawa cake was a disappointment today... Had travelled early morning just to get sad...Atleast Bun maska pav made up for it...
Rutuja Gumaste
The owner is so rude. He is proud that he owns such an old place but apparently his forefathers do. Also he doesn't want to start online payment at all. And if asked he rudely says we don't care we will stay the way we are. Very rigid and proud!
Happy Tummy😋
Place where you can head for early morning breakfast.. make sure it's early because the the yummy stuff goes out of stock otherwise.. the bread omelettes were satiating.. the mava cakes were yummy..
Afreen Fatima
This place is too hyped. I was so excited when I went. But I got really disappointed. The mawa cake had that taste of cheap margarine. Found the tea too sweet. The omelette omg that was the worst I guess. Not even seasoned properly. Only good thing was the server, he was really sweet and nice.

B Merwan is an irani mawa cake heaven just outside grant road station.

Ambience is typical irani
Service quick paced

Be prepared to share your table as this place is always packed.

The irani chai is the best i have ever tasted.
The omlette
The bun pav maska with jam
The custurd and pudding
The mawa samosa
The pattice
Everything class apart.

But the mawa cake tops it all.
They reach the counter and disappear.
Always out of stock.

At B Merwan the mawa cake is the winner

Mawa cake Mawa cake Mawa cake, this place serves the best mawa cake in town. Our night outs would invariably end at this place for omlette pav and obviously mawa cake.

The place is here been through early 1915's year.
Mawa cake is speciality of theirs.
It's musr try as its been there on menu for 100years now.
Ambience gives u feeling of nostalgia wat we 21st century kid can only see in movies.
So is one of my favorite Irani cafe now.

#chatoriyaari#foodislove#love#oldisgold

B Merwan is an Iranian cafe located in Grant Road just outside the railway station. They are the oldest iranian cafe and serve best irani tea and their special food here.

Cost is very affordable and tye quality of food you get is just amazing. They serve very quick. The ambience is of old wooden furniture just because this place is old and that actually designates their irani cafe.

I ordered :

1. Their personal best - Iranian Tea - just amazing, costly only 12₹ per cup.
2. Bun maska - normal bread and butter. Goes well with tea. This costs 15₹
3. Walnut cake - similar to plum cake. Sweet in taste with some walnut flavour. This also costs 15₹

I would suggest visiting this restaurant early morning at 7 am to get hot and fresh food which includes custard and pudding. Their special items gets out of delivery after 11 am. So better visit them early morning.

Wow epic of all restaurants , very nice mawa cakes
Alokananda Sen
The best Mawa Puff are made here, it's simply magic served hot. It's unfortunate that the time we visited this place was the time, where the main restaurant remained closed. The Mawa Cakes were amazing as well! Cheers and Happy Eating!❤️

located bang opposite the station this is visible and pretty easy to locate but finding a table is difficult since its crowded with people all the time. Their tea (Iranian way of pani cum chai) is nice which my friends had with mawa cake there. Bun muska and bournvita is a must try here.

B. Merwan is one the oldest Iranian Café established in 1914 and still serving in Mumbai.
Close to Grant Road Railway Station, just out of platform 4., It's a treat for those who love bakery items.
Opens daily at perfect 7:00AM, and you will see a whole bunch of people gathering there for just a morning breakfast.
The ambience is still preserved and tables, chairs, fans, mirror on the wall, checkered tiles etc will just make you fall in the mood.

Coming to food quality., I'd say, the Irani Chai (Tea) is below average., I always ask for 'Pani kam chai', and still feel the tea is watery...!

The main attraction here is Mava Cake., It's so perfectly baked that it cracks open and so soft..!!! It's not too sweet neither too sticky., You'll just love having those Mava Cake to make a good start for the day..!

Now, coming to Bun Maska and Bun Maska Jam., Those are average buns with very fine maska that is neither sweet nor sour. The taste of bun with chai blends so evenly that it'll take your chai experience to a whole Iranian level...!
Bun Maska Jam is for sweet tooth like me..!!

Also, I've personally tried all above items there and there's another Veg. Pattice worth to give it a try. It's so layered and crisp, that you'll feel like it's a khari with veggie stuffing inside. The stuffing is nothing but mixture of a mashed potatoes with peas., And trust me, it's good to have it on table.

Apart from all those things, egg omlets is what all were having there..! I've heard that it's great, but never tried as I'm a vegetarian.

There's a lot more to explore there, you just need to visit the place to experience it.

Below is what I paid for what i had.,
Tea - ₹ 12 (Nothing like cutting available there or they don't charge extra for Pani kam Chai)
Bun Maska - ₹ 15 / pc.
Bun Maska Jam - ₹ 25 / pc.
Veg. Pattice - ₹ 15 / pc.
Mava Cake - ₹ 15 / pc.

Hope you guys like the review..!
I've mentioned my personal experience after been there for 4 times...!
I felt like sharing this place as it is rare to find such a cool place which is still serving..!

Amazing mawa cake and typical tea with bun maska is one of the perfect Sunday breakfast... Feels like gone back in the era with the vintage decor.

You can only have a take away order for now since the place is under renovation and sittings will be available from 1st of jan.

Irani chai, bun maska, mawa cake are some of the items you will find at any Irani cafe & so we stopped by at Marwan's to try these out.

B. Merwan's is just bang opposite the station & easy to locate. It's always bustling with people & luckily we managed to get ourselves the only available table at the far end near the kitchen.

We tried their Irani tea - "paani kam chai", mawa pattice & mawa cake. Although the tea was nice, their tea cups have seen better days :D

Their mawa cake is good but the pattice was more of puff & lacked the mawa filling.

In all, it's an okayish place - don't expect the best of hygiene; but I really feel they need to maintain these places least they will lose their charm.

This is a classic eatery

Located opposite of the grand road station merwans stands tall from last 70 years or so serving the original recipe preserved by generations

Chai, bun maska, burun masaka, omlette pav, etc.

The best I found was the mawa cake it was wonderful and rich, if u are lucky enough then wake up at 7 am and reach to the place to get it as there is a saying that it is sold out as early as 15 minutes,

Now the place is still what it was back in the 40s so no renovation done in past 6 decades.
You have to make a que as there is large crowd when its doors are open sharp at 7 am.

Enjoy the pure Bombay life at this grand old legendary restaurant. 🍴
_the_food_court_
Bun maska and bournvita.Bun maska was soft and fresh with good amount of butter in it. Bournvita was yummilicious; served hot in a cup or a big glass according to our respective choices; also bournvita powder(poured good in amount) was well blended with milk giving it a sweet and chocolaty taste.
Herschelle Pinto
B merwans had a really rustic atmosphere. Loved the Mawa cake. Although I didn't get to try out their mava samosas. Staff is good and so is the service.
I visited this place last week. It had a notice saying that it's closed from 30th sept due to renovation work! Hope that helps other foodies, to visit this place post renovation.

MUMBAI'S BEST MAVA CAKE!

Today I visited the iconic B. Merwan & Co. for breakfast. It's one of Mumbai's oldest Irani cafes, serving some classic Irani snacks for more than 100 years.

Just when I was about to step out after enjoying my breakfast, the smell of fresh mava cakes pulled me back. I couldn't resist getting a few packed to enjoy these sinful, fluffy cakes at home again. A must have if you're in Mumbai.
Gaurav Biswas
Do you believe in time travel? Cause this café will surely take you to the vintage days! Round and square tables, smell of fresh bread and eggs, are just few of the things to admire about this place.

We ordered
Omlette with Bread.
Masala Omlette was served with two pieces of bread. The egg was hot and tasty. Bread was fluffy and fresh. 5/5

Bun Maska/ Butter.
Few pieces of bun with butter from here is enough to make your jaw drop. 5/5

Irani Chai.
Served hot in clean cups. Taste could have been better. 4/5

Custurd.
This one was a total disappointment. Poor presentation and not that satisfying. 3/5

Reasons to visit this place- Quick service and pocket friendly place. Will satisfy your hunger as well as taste buds.

B merwan
Located near Grant Road
It was established in 1914. So its almost 104 years old.

Its a sort of bakery with cakes, chai and baked items. The ambiance was really good as it is an old bakery cherishing the times back to 90’s

We keep visiting this place in a memory of my dad this place is same since then specially the taste i never miss a chance to visit if i am nearby

The most epic discovery of mumbai. Located right outside the Grant Road railway station, this place is a must visit if you are in the area. This is an old eatery primary serving breakfast items and snacks.

Ambience: Frequented by locals, it has a rustic charm to it. There is no air conditioning but the place is decent enough. It reminds you of the eateries one saw in old bollywood films.

Food: We ordered tea, bun maska, omelette, patties and walnut cake. The food tasted good but the presentation needs to improve. All items on the menu were not available.

Service: The service was average. Nothing too good and nothing too bad. They were not trained but were quite courteous and compensated for the lack of the former.

Cost: The cost efficiency of this place is mind blowing. We were three people and the cost was a mere INR 176.

Overall Impression: I would visit this place over and over again for the cheap comfort food. The fact that it is easily accessible doesn't harm either.

More than 100 years old place. Since 1914. Fragrance of Mawa Cake as soon as you enter the bakery shall surely tempt the people on diet. To have it's authentic food you have to get up early in the morning. Please reach the place latest by 7.30 am to have Mawa Samosa, Mawa Cake, Bun Maska.

Everything you wish to have would be perfect with prompt service.
Tanuja Nailwal
It is situated at like 5 steps away from the railway station and that was the best part about it.
We had an omelette, 3 bun maska, 3 chai, 2 patties, walnut cake slice and it costed us just Rs. 176 and our tummy was undoubtedly full.
My first visit to an Irani cafe and I'm pretty much satisfied. Even the bread they serve with the omelette was very tasty. Given a chance, I'd want to have all of it all again in Delhi.

Hridam Basu
Had bun maska, tea, jam puff, mawa puff, and mawa cake here. All of the items were excellent at extremely decent price. The ambience is also great.

South Mumbai is bustling with so many century old Irani cafes and B Merwan & Co. is one of those! This cafe/bakery was established in 1914 and has been the go-to place for the Mumbaikars for their delicious mawa cakes and bun maska!

The mirrored interiors and the fragrance of mawa cakes as soon as you enter the cafe can even tempt the people on diet! 😁

Must haves :-
1) Mawa Cake - Too good to explain, one of the best I would say!

2) Bun Maska and chai - The chai here is decent but not something you wouldn't have had elsewhere! The bun maska is, maybe not on the softer side as it should be but then definitely worth it!

3) Mawa Samosa - one of their specialities and I feel that the mawa stuffing inside the samosas should have been more sweeter to give it a perfectly balanced taste! Nevertheless, a good one to have!

🔥 On pocket - Mawa cake, mawa samosa, bun maska and chai for Rs.57!
Totally worth it! 👌🏻👌🏻

Visited this place to grab a quick bite.
Located right outside the Grant Road Railway Station, this place has been offering the best bakery items and lives up to its lineage, till date. We ordered the Irani chai that was so refreshing and the bun maska, which was all generously slathered with the butter.
We got some freshly baked hot mawa cakes as we went well in time, as they literally sell like hot cakes.

Hi friends I had a great time here in this parsi bakery. The ambience is like the old parsi cafe, the food is reasonable and fresh and have a large variety. The service is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. In this pocket friendly place you can enjoy your bun maska, your favourite raspberry soda, mawa cupcakes, jam toast, kharis, jeera and butter biscuits and many more delicious dishes. A must visit.

This Irani Cafe is located opposite Grant road Station and easy to find. Recently visited this place for some breakfast.

Mava cake :👍
Their mava cakes are very famous and if you wanna grab some you'll have to go early in the morning. Due to the high demand everything usually finished in morning only.

Bread pudding :👍
This one is by far the best bread pudding I had. It was freshly made and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Also the cost is very nominal about 15 bucks.

Double Omelette and bun :
Well it was a regular Omelette with balance amount of taste of green chillies and served with buns.

Raspberry soda :
This one was kinda disappointing as it was tasted like tonic. I'll suggest try other soda like lemon orange or ice-cream soda.

Final verdict:
*Loved the classic Iranian ambience.
*Staff is friendly and service was quick.
*Food rates are reasonable.
*Since we have visited this place on Monday which is half day for them most of the food items were not available.
*Visit this place during morning for breakfast as the food items are extremely fresh.
This Irani place is one of my fav in Bombay that is home to sooo many Irani cafes! Located right outside Grant Road East station, this cafe is a small, very ok but popular Irani joint!
Interiors - Very ok, at times you may have to share tables since it’s sooo crowded esp in the mornings!
Food - All the dishes including cakes are prepared fresh everyday. My favs are the delicious mawa cake (gets exhausted latest by 9-10am!), caramel custard, bun Maska and omelette. All are great. And worth it!
Beverages - I usually have the bournvita but tea is good too.
Service - extremely quick since the place is sooo crowded always! There’s usually a queue.
Price - All those above items maybe together for max 100-150 bucks! Totally worth!
Verdict - Of course gonna be back! Do try the freshly baked mawa cakes and khari biscuits!
Cliff
Their mawa cakes are a classic but their service is simply appalling. I enjoyed it better when it would objective at 5 am as opposed to 7 30 am. Their cheese tukda in bread is the simplest but an ultimate classic here.

B merwan is One of the best irani cafe's in Mumbai. B Merwan has been standing outside of Grant Road station for about 100 years.
The cafe is famous for "Mava Cake".

These place is very Hygienic. Seating arrangement was really amazing. The tables was historic. Staff was really meek ( humble).
Service was awesome and fast.

I tried here...
1. DOUBLE OMELET FRY, BURJI PAV :- They served double omelet fry with two pav.The taste was like we made at home. In burji they add small small pieces of mirchi. That's why burji was little bit of spicy. There pav was different as compared to others.

2.MAVA ChEESECAKE :- Mava CheeseCake was small and soft. This is the most famous thing is their which gets sold out very early. Taste was outstanding. Definitely try it.

3.VEG.PATTICE :- Quantity was less but taste was awesome. This pattice is different as compared to others. These pattice have its own different taste. If you eat one pattice then you like to eat one more pattice.

4.CHAI & BUN MASKA :- Their bun maska was fresh and soft.
It feels great to eat along with tea.

One of the best and oldest irani cafe's in Mumbai situated just by the side of grant road station. The cafe is famous for mava cake and opens early in the morning. The bunmaska served with chai is also being loved by many of its visitors. Most crowded in morning for mava cakes as the cake gets finished soon.

An amazing Irani restaurant, located in the narrow streets of Grant Road, just outside the station. You get many eatables at a reasonable rate. A few dishes have higher costs for no reason at all, though.
I love their plum cake and mawa cheesecake.

On my recent visit, we had the following :

Scrambled eggs: I liked them, were light. These are served with bread.

Fried eggs: Tastes similar to scrambled eggs. But a bit too oily.

Mawa biscuit: A puff like dish filled with sweet mawa filling, sprinkled with sugar.

Egg custard: If you're not a fan of pudding which tastes more like an egg, then go for the veg custard. But the sad part is, it's unavailable most of the times.

Pudding: Love the pudding. Soft and delicious. The sweetness level is just perfect. Not too sweet.

Chai: Love their chai, do have it.

Maska Pav: A combo of Chai and maska Pav is love!

The cab ride there is going to be more than the cost of food for a party of 4. Simple menu, everything's brilliant, cant have enough of their mawa cake and pudding

Talk of Mava cakes and the first place that comes to my mind is B Merwan. This place is definately one of the historic eating places in Mumbai. Situated bang opposite Grant Road station, it is buzzing with people from 5am onwards for the morning chai( typical iranian pani kam chai) alongwith bunmaska or omlet pav.
Besides the historic mava cakes, mava pattice is an unique dish that one can have at this joint.
Must must visit !!

An early morning trip to this part of town and we decided to duck into this buzzing piece of history. You would be surprised at the number of people at 7.30 am on a Saturday. Our order was pretty simple - tea, brun maska (without the maska 😊), and akuri with plain bread.

This is one of the best places for bread - fluffy and soft, and it bounces back to a light press. The akuri here is in its most simplest form - egg, onions and green chilies. The sweet brun is to be dipped in the chai and had - eat slowly and reminisce on life and it’s many pleasures.

Service is efficient, tables to be shared - started well before the sharing economy was thought of, there is trust in the patrons - you pay at the counter whatever the waiter tells you to. Average cost per head would be about Rs. 50 for a decent quick breakfast.

On the way out, make sure to pack for home these lovely goodies - wine biscuits, mawa cake, khari and bread pudding. Have had the biscuits and khari so far and they are superb. The other 2 to be had with evening tea. Life is beautiful!! 😊

Quick and prompt service. Amazing omlette and soft, moist bread. Also, the Bun Maska at B Merwan is so much better than what they serve at other Irani cafés. A wee bit disappointed with the Mawa cakes as they tasted too much like vanilla. Other than that the white marble table tops are such a good opportunity for nice Instagram pictures. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

This iconic restaurant is located just beside the grant road station. There eggs, bunmaska and chai are my favourite. But the most popular one here which sells out within minutes are the mawa cakes. They are spongy cakes which melts in mouth and is absolutely addictive. Mostly it's a parcel or takeout place as seating is crowded and not the best of facilities.

Follow us at

https://instagram.com/travel_food_click?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=1j0rkfb17tfvf

This is nothing less that a heritage site, with amazing treasures inside it. I wouldn't say anything about the staff and the ambiance it's exactly how decades old small but hugely popular outlet would have.
Food is out of this world the all time famous and all time exhausted Mawa cakes are a speciality of this place. Of you plan on having breakfast the egg omlete and soft fresh baked breads are the best combination. You can also have the brun maska which is a sweetish bun with butter this goes great with the special chai these two things are like the best combination.

B Merwan its located exactly opposite of Grant road station.
The merwan cake is the famous item in this bakery.
It is very delicious.
We also get tea, coffee, omlet, bun pav ,etc
The items are cheap and good in taste.

From a bygone era, with really cheap prices. The mawa cake is the best performer. The bun maska always in short supply, bun crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Super combination with their great chai.

B Merwan is an authentic Parsi bakery and restaurant, it is a low-key joint with vintage tables and chairs, the ambiance is quite vintage as well, the price is mostly known for its bakery products especially the ‘Mawa cake’, it’s the mascot of this bakery and I love it but to try it you’ll have to get up early and get to this place, I always reach as early as possible and buy a ton of them, it’s just opposite the Grant Road Station, I love this place and so will you after you try the mawa cake.

Place lives up to its name. Service is lightning fast and place seems crowded all the time. Tried the omlette, bun maska, sunny side up and off course the mava cake. All good. Pocket friendly place just outside grant road station.
