One of the best restaurant i visited so far. There are two places to sit and we dine in the second place which is right in front of the Nagpada police station. I really love the ambiance of the place also, the taste of everything we order was wonderful. We were a total of 6 we order 3 items with no complaints. Additionally, the hotel is not that expensive with respect to it’s ambiance and the taste.

Place is cool, service is nice, food is light and best,no beef, only mutton and chicken, tea is really upto the mark, feels like refreshed my mood, Whenever you'll go do order soup, mutton seekh kabab with nice grain roti, and pain rice with dal or saalan spread up or both,by requesting the order taker, and in the end ofcourse Tea✌️ Move Out with that Mouth freshner in your mouth and a Tooth pick if required, by placing a handsome Tip too,if possible🎉thank you💐

Very old restaurant with a really good and pocket friendly menu. The food taste great😋 we offer chicken and mutton seekh kabab, mutton shorba, mutton biryani, double roti, bheja masala fry and caramel custard. The mutton and bheja were not atoll gamy.
Arvah Hasnain
Absolutely loveeeeee this place of their yummm seekhs ...they just melt in ur mouth..just WOOW . Its not a fancy place at all but then their seekhs and kebabs and alot of other things on the menu are definitely 👌 I don't have alot of pics but I recommend you to give this place a try.

From the dishes that i tried I'd totally recommend chicken pulao and mutton sheek kebab 🤤🤤 both of them are too good! The mutton curry was okay, didn't like the caramel custard all that much. It was kind of watery. Service is quick and the food tasted fresh. The portion size is fair. The price is way less for what they serve. It is an absolute meat lovers paradise!

The best place to have kebabs in town. The chicken curry was so delicious and fresh was cooked perfectly. It was soft and not at all hard to eat. The rotis are huge in size than regular one. Even bigger than a normal bhakri. Irani seekh kebab was the highlight. The juiciest seekh I ever had in my life. They also serves onion, and pudina chutney. If you’re going alone I would suggest to only go for one option has the quantity is a lot. I was completely full in just 2 rotis and 2seekh. Yes that’s the quantity. The only thing I felt disappointed is there is no card transaction facility. Qr scan and cash is acceptable. They are also on zomato. Ambience is okaish which is acceptable. Seekh’s were continuously on grill as they have a lot of demand. It’s a must must try.

Bheja masala fry, Irani Kebab, are my favorite here. Also the chicken pulav was very very tasty and light. But the the tea here is magical. Such tea after good food is heavenly. P. S. The tea I'd say that it should be served a little better without it being spilt on the saucer coz it deserves a lot of respect.

Excellent restaurant for non veg cuisine.....located near Bombay central...Good tea , sheek kababs.....

It was good experience. Goat mutton seekh kabab and chicken seekh kabab were awesome tender and juicy. For main course we tried butter chicken and bheja masala fry, which were also good in terms of taste and qty. Service was also good. Might have busy / waiting time during peak hrs on weekends and Friday .

Best place in Mumbai to have Irani seekh kababs. Also try out their chicken Afghani and bheja masala

You come to Sarvi only for its unique flavours, not aesthetics. It has a Irani restaurant vibe marble tables and all. The Mutton Seekh Kebabs are clearly in the Top 3 of Mutton seekh you’ll get in Mumbai. I had the Bheja fry which was also very good, tad mild but flavourful with their soft tandoori rotis. You don’t get Thums up here to wash it all down, only Big cola which adds to its appeal!

Have been going to this restaurant ever since I was a kid and this place has never disappointed me. This is an amazing place for family, friends and all those individuals who want to snack alone. Recently I visited this restaurant all by myself and the staff was extremely courteous and the manager made sure that I am well attended to. No 'what are you doing here alone' faces were shown to me. Had a lovely experience and recommend this to all foodies, especially women who wish to have lunch/dinner all by themselves.

A typical Irani style restaurant with a very rustic setting serving, kheema pav, burji etc The best place to have kebabs in town.. Service is very fast and prices are reasonable. Bang opposite Police staion in Nagpada. Amazing cafe with super affordable delicious food. The restaurant is no frills and focuses on core business of serving good food and they do a damn good job of it. 100 year old icon of Mumbai. BBQ apart from the other sumptuous things in the menu. We ordered Mutton Biryani, Bheja masala, with Roti and finally ended the lunch with yummy desserts like Caramel Custard and ferni which was really yummy. I would really love to visit place again and again as the food is really reasonable. far better than shalimar and some others restaurants if you are in Byculla and hungry must give it try. he kebabs with the khameeri rotis are absolutely divine! They accept only cash payments though. No frills eatery with fast service and good food. Best place for Non-veg lovers..

Rocking Seekh kababs. If anyone wants to know what should actually be the texture, softness and taste of a seekh, then they needs to try this.... Awesome kheema, bheja masala, Kofte ka saalan, gol kabaab, chicken masala, khameeri roti, paraatha.... Nostalgia, written all over🙂.

Well Sarvi is one of the oldest restaurants in the nagpada-Byculla area. Their seekh and paya are favourites. The place has a traditional irani look. Good ambience and quick service. The other dishes we tried were quite decent. Nice place to hangout. Liked the tea as well.
Food 3/5
Ambience 2.5/5
Service 2.8/5

Sarvi is all about the food! Not ambiance but nothing to complain about.

We sat in the upstairs AC space. It’s clean and simple with washbasin for hand washing after eating.

Hot food brought promptly at value prices! Waiting to introduce it to other friends! Recommended

Best best best plave for seekh paratha😍
We orderes the chicken pulao which was a little spicy. There is no such great ambience but a good place to eat.
Naqia Khateeb
They have best seekh kebab in town..soft minced kebabs and that double tandoori roti. Bheja Masala fry which has small peices of bheja in the gravy goes good with the same roti.. irani chai and caramel custard being my forever favourite from here.
Erebus N
Not worth the hype. Food was good but not WOW. I had bheja fry roti and seekh kebab. Maybe I should have had their signature dishes, not sure how the food in the old sarvi tastes. Should have tried that
Michael B Frederick
Old school Ambiance, a really nice Irani cafe. Love their Kheema (By far the best in Bombay) and the Deep Fried Kebabs. Usually come here for breakfast. A must must visit place.
Owais Machhiwala
One of my favourite places since childhood.. I've grown up on their seekh and zabaan and butter chicken also their morning kebabs.. if there was a food heaven this place would have a spot there..
Vivian.nadar
Succulent kebabs (buff), real value for money... The tandoori roti are soft and fresh... Chicken Afghan is another good choice if not into buff meat... One of the oldest place and a must eat for meat lovers... 😋
Sayan Das
the roti here is sublime specially along with seekh

A corner place in byculla with a lot of history. Food is just amazing. The sheesh kebab was one of the best i have had. It was so properly minced. Butter chicken was just so tasty.
I will go there again soon

The food in parcel and dine-in both have good quantity and quality of the food is great. The taste is really amazing, it reminds you of the actual Mumbai what is taste a long time ago. The restaurant is not quite changed too socold times are great here.

Mutton seekh kebab must try and hidden gem is caramel custard.. don't miss on masoor Pulav aswell. Place is ok but go for the food they have recently refurbished the place in family section which is good
I've been a regular at Sarvi for the past 10 years now, and each time I go there, I'm filled with this feeling of comfort, satisfaction and eternal happiness. The place is not big on ambience, but the food makes up for it. Their seekhs have been a super hit right from the start and they continue to mesmerize: soft, succulent pieces of meat served well with mint chutney, onions and pudina leaves. You can order a plate of kofta, kheema or stew that rocks with their signature roti.
Another hit pair is the mutton fry and bheja, you cannot leave Sarvi without digging into those. Finish up with caramel custard, and you'll be full for the day.
I strongly recommend Sarvi for their taste and am up for anyone wanting a guided tour of the place! ;)
Ashish Kumar Goyal Dipti Sansare Shenoy Roopesh Anchan

The Seekh parantha is my families absolute favourite meal from Sarvi. The place is a small restaurant and the ambience is very average. It isn’t a place I recommend to visit however just thinking about the food makes my mouth water. I suggest people parcel the food back home, that’s what my family does. Apart from the seekh the Nali Nihari and Payah is worth trying.

Ambience : 7/10
Food : 9/10
Location : 8/10

The best mutton seekh kababs I ever had. This place is famous for his seekh kababs and also its an very old restaurant. The old rustic look is what I liked while trying the seekh kababs. Located near Byculla and also near Bhendi bazar makes it popular for people to come and try their specialty. Also couple of other items are famous like bheja fry, etc but the seekh kabab is ultimate which is served with pudina.
.
.
Do give it a try if you are a fan of seekh kababs

Best food for sehri👍🏻 Crunchy kebabs with the soft pav👌👌 The crunchiness n the softness of the kebab 😍

Juicy keema with lemon on it🤤

Best Place to visit for sehri👍🏻 R

The place has no Board, it's opposite Nagpada Police Station.
Very Good: Value for money, prompt service, Badaam Pak
Good: Mutton Masala & Seekh Kebab
Not So Good: Bheja Fry
Ankur
The food is good but not awe inspiring. The seekh Kebabs are nice, but the best dish that we tried was Mutton Masala. The Bheja masala fry was just ok and so was Afgani Mutton. The desserts were also nothing great, you can get much better Caramel custards in other places. All in all it’s a one time visit place.
Farhan Siddiqui
One of the oldest Irani restaurants of South Bombay, it has s famous for its seekh kebab and masoor pulao, we had both these things along with the brain Masala fry. The food was average and nothing very special. You all can try it once but do not expect brilliance

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Mumbai. I m a fan of their Paya n Seekh Kababs, even the Tandoor Rotis, Biryanis n Saat Handi are superb over here.

Quick service n the ambience is Okayish but the food is lip-smacking.

Thank you so much guys for your wonderful hospitality. Kudos to the management.
Shubho Dasgupta
We visited Sarvi only to have irani roti with dabba ghosth. The meat was tender, and all the flavours were very subtle. The food was not heavy, and the texture of the meat was super smooth. The egg was the icing on the cake that added to the flavour. After that we had caramel custard, which wS okayish, but better than what you would find at most places.

The service is a little slow, and you have to watch your head while walking in here. But if you want your taste buds to have a great time with subtle flavours, all that can be easily overlooked.

Would definitely come back to try out more.
Ashish Chandane
My very favourite restaurant in Nagpada where I usually have my lunch or dinner. The food quality that this restaurant provides is good specially I love the roti that they serve. The special menu for this restaurants are divided in different different time slots. At early morning we can get kebabs and pav sometimes keema as well but in night after 11 for sure we get keema and roti. Also the seek kebab which are being served are tasty and delicious. after having a dinner or lunch I recommend you to have a cup of tea which is Irani tea. For a regular food menu I would recommend egg masala or veg mix sabji.
Rohit
No frills place which serves the best dabba gosht i've ever had in Mumbai along with good seekh kababs... And don't forget to end your meal with a custard!
Imran Badami
The emperor of kebab pavs. Sarvi has a typical rustic irani cafe feel.

A kebab for 4 rs and a lamba pav for 2 rs goes easy on the pocket.

The best time to get hold of these kebabs is early in the mornings. Be prepared to wait as its always crowded
Taneesha Mirwani
BRO YOU HAVE NOT LIVED IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED THE MUTTON SEEKH HERE. It is tooooooo good man. Wow. Yum. This place is for those who love love love love food, and only go for food.

The best place to have Paaya soup and Seekh kebabs with hot tandoori roti’s. Their dal and chicken masala fry too is awesome. People must try this place.
Pratik Armarkar
This place is very difficult to find even though you are going by maps because there is no name written out side the restaurant.

Ambience wise it's under renovation but still lot has to be done it's sitting gives the feeling of vintage Irani cafe.

Food is really good one must try sheek kababs here although there is not must variety available. It's menu sticks to very limited dishes but one can find the variety from vegetarian to mutton.

Veg is not that good but non veg stands your expectations. We had butter chicken which was enough for 3 . Roties are of very good quality.

Serving is quick they don't keep you waiting.

Now most important only cash payment is accepted no card facilities available.
Simeen Shaikh
Simple homely food. The taste has not changed a bit since 9 years that I have been going here. The seekh kebab here is the best. So tender it melts in the mouth. In the pic :
Seekh kebab and kofta curry.
Aki Badhe
Sarvi is one of the best old irani restaurant in south mumbai , their every dish is tasty try afghani and rashida and also try seekh paratha over here .
Adil Numair
This i place is perfect for Seekh Kebab. people can get seekh kebab whole day , and the taste was awesome , and keema is also tooo good ... perect place specially in evening
Rima Chakravarty Sonde
Probably the best mutton seekh I've tasted in forever. The place is not much to look at but do not write it off. It is easy on the pocket & has a killer mutton seekh that I'd go back for anytime. Definitely worth a visit.

No need for a shout out for this almost a century old restaurant, because their food shouts out loud. This incognito restaurant #sarvirestaurant which has no signboard at the entrance serves one of the finest and distinct #seekh kebabs.

1. Seekh Kebab [5/5]
2. Brain Omlette Fry [4/5] *Must try with gravy
3. Chicken Rashida [5/5]
4. Chicken Pulao [5/5]
5. Caramel Custard [4.5/5]

Sarvi thanks for such a lovely meal!

Will surely come again and recommend!
Recaiya
It's amongst the most famous local restaurants for dishes such as Keema, Seekh Kebab etc.

Plenty of tables and three sections for dining.
Service is quick and the place is easy to access as it's situated right at the centre of Nagpada junction.

Honestly speaking only try the Seekh Kebab and Keema as other items are not different than other restaurants.
Fatema Lokhandwala
This is the place I hve been visiting since my childhood.
This place never ever goes wrong.
Simple interiors.
The place has ac and non ac section.
Food is excellent.
Have almost tried everthing from the menue.
The best is
Seek paratha
Bheja masala
Paya soup

Does not pinch the pocket.
Service is quick.
Will visit soon

Thanks for serving us.

Sarvi is a legendary and a very popular food joint in south Mumbai. It's kheema and seekh is to die for and also if you're looking for actual Bombay food then Sarvi should be in your list.
Mridul Grover
This place is for people who genuinely love their food and are least concerned about the ambiance. From outside the place looks unappealing, an old building situated at the junction of two roads at Nagpada, Byculla. But the idea is to shed those initial inhibitions and just think about all the flavors that are about to burst in your mouth.

The place is famous for its Parsi style preparation and the food is just lip smacking. We tried their Seekh Kebab's which were tender and succulent, one of the best I had in Bombay.

In the main course, we had Chicken Afghani (probably this the star dish the place serves chicken wrapped in an omelet and thick flavorful gravy),
Brain Masala Fry (again brilliant in its taste and subtle flavors with a perfect blend of spices as to one can taste each item in the dish), Mutton Masala (Mutton was well cooked in light gravy which had absorbed all the flavors of the meat), Chicken Rashida (its more like murg musallam though slightly bland for my taste buds), Kofta Curry (meat kofta balls well cooked in light flavorsome gravy....a must try).

Each dish was delectable and the spices were very balanced and the flavors subtle. The best part is that prices are from a different era.

Taste --- 5/5
Ambiance----3/5
VfM------5/5

Been visiting here since childhood and everyone in my family loves this place and friends like this place as well, the keema and pav is the mascot of this place and the lovely kababs and seekh are tasty as well my favourite dish is the bheja and tandoori roti hope to visit soon

Its an old traditional restaurant which looks Nothing less than ruins on the outside but the picture changes as you enter it.

A menu which is easy in your wallet and a ever do buzzing crowd throughout the day.

Tried the bheja(brain) masala fry , Chicken seekh kebabs and rotis.

Staff is really friendly and help you with the exact nature of the dishes.

Really looking forward to go back and try more things there.
Sarvi holds its ground with stubborn nostalgia

Meandered into Sarvi Restaurant after ages and the taste buds went into a retro frenzy

The appetite level said I could be granted only 3 wishes so I confined myself to

3 chai

2 paya

1 sheekh kebab

Sitting in the main section of the restaurant as against the family section the cross section of working class faces I saw , each one had an alluring story stamped.

Back to the meal I couldn’t wait till the end of the meal so I started with the milky sarviChai and there was no shame in the slurp There is no other way of having this age old delight.

The paya or the soupy version was seeped in the Iranian culture of aab (pani ) and soaking the Iranian roti raised anticipation as each morsel made its journey from the dish to the mouth.. mouthilicious !

Some time in between the sheekh kebab arrived with mint . Chutney and raw onion and of course lemon.

The soft meat kebabs fresh from the charcoal griller redefined exotic in the ordinary .

Sarvi the survivor icon of Mumbai , deserves more than its cash bill for preserving the Original taste of Bombay gone by.
Mr. WadaPav
Third visit to this authentic Irani based restaurant in the heart of Old Bombay.

The highlight of this experience here is the food; the reason why you go to a restaurant in the first place. The menu is simple and you'd go absolutely crazy while checking out the prices of some dishes here. Everything on the table is affordable and authentic. There's no common masala gravy preparation that you find in every other restaurant which has bored our taste buds for a long time now. However, the service is not the most polite but is quick. The ambience has improved a lot in terms of hygiene and lighting.

We tried the Chicken Soup (Not Chinese flavored), Seekh Kebab (Irani), Butter Chicken which is absolutely the best I've tasted anywhere so far, soft and filling Butter Rotis, Chicken Biryani which is again highly recommended and the for the dessert we ordered the only item they have which is Caramel Custard.

Highly recommended outlet for all the No-Vegetarian food lovers.

Khateeb Uzair
Well this is a small cozy restaurant and budget one.. It's way famous irani restaurant.. Been visiting this place from childhood and seekh paratha and tea is always on menu.do visit

The awesome place and the speciality of this restaurant is the chicken seekh paratha and kabab
The Afghan chicken taste was delicious and
The ambience was good and the staff of the restaurant was good
And all the food prices are reasonable

We just rode right past this place twice without spotting it.. it's right on the corner of a busy junction! No big name boards, nothing swanky.. but the food.. the food.. is just lip smacking good! We of course had the seekh kebabs! Juicy, tender kebabs just melt away.. then came the bheja masala fry with the signature Afghani roti! It definitely satisfied my graving for the dish I had since long!! The chatni and the accompaniments are just as they should be.. we ended with two rounds of caramel custard which again was just as it should be.. and all this while being easy on the pockets! It's not ur regular family restaurant though.. but don't let that stop you from having one a good, satisfying meal!!

If there is anyone who can make a meaner dabba ghost, let me know cause Sarvi does an amazing job of it. Dabba Gosht is an offals based dish that is breakfast to dinner friendly. Sarvi also has some fabulous Kabab served with the special Afghani roti. Catering to all classes this corner restaurant is a must visit.

The taste is excellent. Seekh kabab are famous here. The hygiene level has to improve. The service is up to the mark. This is my favorite place to go for seekh. It is pocket friendly as well

Sometimes, it’s glorious to hang out around the city at night & find out a good spot to dig in some tasty food as we were searching a place for breakfast this place came as rescue as it was open at 7am in the morning.

It’s a traditional restaurant with northern Indian cuisine.
We were seated in cafe section which is on ground level.
We ordered Mutton keema ghotala & Pani kam chai.
Keema was non oily perfectly cooked with scrambled eggs served with pav this can never go wrong.
It had a very distinct flavour mutton was juicy & quantity was appreciable.

Service was quick!
Pocket friendly place.

There is nothing legendary.. the kebabs are bland. They did not have mint leaves which is mandate with seekh kebab. .. biryani kheema was full of oil . Overall bad food for any price
Shah_jameel
Once it was the best place for fried kebabs in the locality
Quality has been compromised now there keema with the Dal was pathetic and had to throw.
Aliya Ghole
Give it a visit to experience Old Iranian style cafe . The Seeh kababs are served piping hot, also they have an Iranian version of it ..liked their Bheja masala too.
The staff here is courteous enough to meet your needs.
Abhinav Kumar
Have been to this place , You should not try everything here . Only the buff kebab , paratha and tea is good .It’s not same as it use be like before.
Nandini Nandz Srk Pandit
It’s an extremely small restaurant and not your usual classy places but what mouth watering dishes that they have to offer. Their keema and lambe pao are tasty and so cheap and extremely delicious

Is there a option to give zero star..

This restaurant cancelled my order 45 minutes after accepting it.
Very unprofessional has as its 11 pm we had to order again and we need to wait another 20 to 30 minutes for dinner...
Order only if you are having infinite time and patience for food delivery....

Visited this restaurant last night. Got down at Mumbai Central and started walking towards Sarvi. It was a little difficult to locate the place at first but Google Maps and locals of Mumbai were very Helpful.
I tried out the Paya Masala and the roti accompanied with it. Roti was nice and soft and would go perfectly with any Indian gravy but not so much along with the Paya masala.
Paya masala was very bland and a little overpriced for a bowlful of soup!
But when I tried the Seekh kebabs, as the place is known for it, it was spot on...
Really tender kebabs, juicy and full of flavour. Visit this place at least once to try the kebabs.
The ambience is rustic but the temperature inside the restaurant is quite warm.
Staff were friendly!

TIP: IF YOU'RE A LOCAL TRAVELLER, TAKE A WALK FROM MUMBAI CENTRAL STATION TO ARRIVE.
I do love exploring places, so walking does the job for me, or else take a cab or a bus.
Rafique Shaikh
Coming directly to the core point, this is the most authentic Iranian restaurant where you can have the best in town seekh paratha.
I mean no one can beat this place when it come to their mouthwatering/finger licking seekh kababs and other mughlai dishes and that too without hurting your pocket, much.
Somewhat lacks in hygiene but if you like the old round table customary style of restaurant which takes you to nostalgia of 80s & 90s than you would surely love this joint.
Ayush Goenka
Best kababs in town..have been to this place multiple times.

Open space. Friendly waiters. Fresh food. Opens early closes late.

Must try kababs, seekh, dal fry, chicken pulao, paya soup.

Seeing Sarvi feature in Favourite Kebab place and hearing about it from many foodies, thought of trying it.

Location- It's very easy to get here, it's opposite Nagpada Police Station Situated at the Junction

Ambience: Don't expect much, it's never been renovated since it's inception.

I tried the most famous dish and recommended dishes:

1) Seekh Kebab: It was mediocre, I was expected much more after listening to the hype created regarding its taste and consistency.

2) Chicken Afghani: This is a main course dish, served with Yellow gravy which covers the Omlette. Underneath the Omlette is a leg piece sitting staring at you waiting to be gulped by you
Omlette was the tastiest item of the lot

If you are around, you can give it try.
I won't recommend travelling all the way to try it
Would you believe it if I told you that you can take two of your closest buddies to one of the best kebab places in South Mumbai..Have an all you can eat Dinner & still just fork around rs 300 on the total bill ?😱❤️
Well Sarvi is the place for you if you can find it that is.😢
Having a rating of of 3.8 on zomato, this place is almost a 100 years old😎 with the Best kebabs in Mumbai 😋😋
We had Irani Kebab , Seekh Kebab & Chicken seekh. All 3 were really well cooked , juicy tender chicken with the usual Pudina Chutney.
Followed this up with Bheja Fry Masala & Biryani just because Biryani is a must.
Best For Last - The Caramel Custurd is priced at just 20rs...so we ended up having 3-4 each 😅😅😅

Best nonveg food hotel in Mumbai at this price. Even the ambience is good. Best is bheja fry, Bheja fry masala, Seekh kebab. Even Rotis are also so soft and tasty.

One of the really very old place to be at.
May look a bit local and cheap but, be it for the morning snacks or the evening seekh paratha you cant beat this place.
I recommend this place for snacks only and very importantly if you are not diet concious.
Another thing as it is a local place getting a parking could be tough.

Service-4/5
Ambience-4/5 (dont go on how it looks i told you its an old place)
Value for money-4.5/10

Please check the number added for this restaurant. The person I spoke to gave me another Number and was quite rude and didn't care about helping
Seekhs kebabs ... no one beats them

Right at the main Nagpada junction and next to police station the place has not changed since 30 years ( childhood days) , the trademark for the restaurant is there is no signboard and offers a very shabby appearance.

However , no outlet in mumbai beats the seekh kebabs served here. Known for its Irani Seekhs , tried the chicken and mutton Seekhs. Mild in taste and served with green chutney , onions it makes for perfect taste. Try their kheema and brain curries with superb tandoor rotis.

Ignore then hygiene as you will blinded by the taste.

Service is super quick.

Don’t miss the food .

You could miss it at blink of an eye.

But once you are in... Rest assured for the best keema pav in the city.
Clean prompt and cheap. Opens quite early, hence the den for breakfast
