Review The Bar Terminal - Mumbai

The Bar Terminal or popularly known as TBT is located close to the Bombay Stock Exchange in Fort. You will need to park your vehicle in the vicinity since vehicles are not allowed close to the BSE. TBT is located on Level 1 and Spices and Flavour at ground Level. The place is a Gastro Pub and serves only Vegetarian Food. As soon as you enter, you can see a colorful attractive looking bar on your left! Separate section for Sheesha and smoking! I believe every table has a different look and feel to it. The table which we sat on had crowns of different beer bottles. The staff was courteous and service was quick. There is a special menu for 11AM to 3PM as well especially for office goers in Fort. Talking about what all I tried at TBT - We started from ATM section - which stands for Any Time Maggi and ordered for the Tadkewali Maggi. It is relatively spicy since the Maggi masala which is used is on the spicy side. Tadka is given of Onions, Tomatoes and Green Chilies. Who doesn't like Maggi? I dont think there is any one! And moreover, if there is such an interesting twist to it, would most definitely worth trying. Recommended. Next we had the Jalapeno Cheese Nuggets. Neatly served cheesy nuggets served with salsa sauce. Basic but nice. If you like deep fried stuff and are open to have it, should try! Taste wise, really good. Got a nice Cheese pull video of these nuggets. TBT serves some real nice and innovative fusion food (Jugaad section). Tried a couple of dishes from Fusion Food section - Pizza Puchkas and Pesto Paneer Bhurji. Pizza Puchkas, as the name suggests, Pizza filling with cheese on top served with some Pani Puri masalas and served in Puri. Good in taste, if open to experimenting. Pesto Paneer Bhurji was quite interesting. Tried it for the first time, an interesting twist given to regular Paneer Bhurji served with Bun bread stuffed with cheese. With food, we ordered for some mocktails. One thing to be mentioned is, that they have a wide variety of drinks - cocktails and mocktails and they mix it really well. I personally loved all the mocktails that I tried. One can pick and choose as per their own preference. Had the Bull Frog, Pomegranate Chunks, Raspberry Apple Cruncher and Guava Goodness. Bull Frog was a nice combo of Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice and Red Bull. Pomegranate Chunks was my favorite among the lot. Pomegranate inside vanilla ice-cream and litchee crush. Always a fan of raspberry and mix with apple juice is good to have. Moving away towards our mains, we first tried the Mushroom Afghani from Munchies. Grilled to perfection - Stuffed mushroom with herbs and spices. Mushroom lovers must try this one. I personally liked it. For mains tried the Triple Schezwan Rice which came along with some noodles and gravy. Honestly this main dish was a little disappointing could have been better. TBT has limited options in terms of desserts. Mousse, Ice-cream and Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice-cream. We tried the evergreen Choco Brownie on a hot plate. Basic but nice way to end the meal. Most of the dishes were good, except the oriental dish which I tried, but I am sure they can work on it and get to perfection. One can also go for Italian option - Pizzas and Pastas, have heard good reviews for them. Overall a good experience and definitely worth visiting in case you are in Fort area.

It's a pure vegetarian place with location just 7 mins away from Cst station, and location right next to the Bombay Stock exchange building. We had ordered many different cuisines but none of them were a disappointment to us. The best part is it serves Jain food with almost all the food options available vwith them.... Ambience is a decent one and we had also experienced live music which was very soothing... The staff is polite and looks well experienced. Overall it's a nice place to visit.

Great place with old school ambience. There are a lot many offers on Monday and Tuesday nights like have most of the drinks at Rs. 99. And Zomato Gold offer is add-on on the existing offer. Beautiful ambience, though food was not that good. But for drinks and Sheesha this place is on my priority list. And one thing more music was awesome, mixture of Hindi and English Songs was awesome. A place to party hard after a light day at work. The decor has the usage of disposed things like beer corks, locks, circuits, keyboard keys etc.and the bright lighting just gives the place a great vibe. This place is pure veg and therefore you will find dishes with great presentations. Do try the signature cocktails. They are a bliss!

"Where creativity meets quirk" The above statement gets truly justified when you enter this place. The ambiance and decor is mind boggling. I would highly recommend this place to all just have look at its ambiance. The keyboard tissue holder, bar decorated by colorful crates, table tops decorated by beer bottle caps, Heinz tins used for bulb shades, old camera chandeliers and the list doesn't end. The excitement when I am writing this is same as i was experiencing the decor of this place. What all we had: 1) Gangari Aloo - this is a must try. Baby potatoes with a nice punch of mustard oil. Balanced marination of spices topped with spicy mayo. Mint on top served with onion salad and lime. This is an amazing dish. This is very similar to Malabari aloo preparation, but very well presented. 2) Pizza Puchka - This is an amazing Indian Italian fusion of Paani Puri, Puris stuffed with tomato sauce italian hers, some lentils, vegetables and cover with cheese which is gratinated before serving it to you. 3) Crispy Corn Shots - Corn kernels deep fried mixed with vegetables nicely garnished and put in shot glass. The presentation is nice. 4) Oreo Mousse - This was a regular mousse in a mason jar, regular and nothing very great about it. Good to taste. What all we drank: 1) Smoked Berry - This a kiwi tequila based cocktail. To add on they pour cold fumes of dry ice in the bowl. Very unique in presentation. Has a sour and sweet taste. 2) Summer Dream - Vodka based cocktail with a fusion of passion and grenadine. This did not taste great as it was very sour. 3) Caribbean Ride - The presentation of this cocktail was amazing highlights being a drowning hand and a syringe. 4) Love and Lock - A unique cocktail. Its not a cocktail but 2 flavored shots made specially for a couple. Nicely presented with a burning candle and a lock on the cage. The lock has be later tied on the grill by the couple. The key remains with you and you vow to come back :P , :D Over all it was a great experience. The sad part was they did not feature tom and jerry screening which was a part of their events due to India Hong Kong Cricket Match. However they have lots of events so do visit it for some exciting experience. PS: I am not a hukka fan but they serve this too! ;)

A little higher on costs. Charges you entry (Rs 1500 per couple), but that covers the food and beverage money. Meaning, you definitely are spending 1500, not any lesser, even if you order food costing below 1500. But the food served was amazing. One should definitely try burnt garlic noodles and mushroom tikka (starter). The inside environment was nice and perfect for pub. They serve all types of alcohol. And is open till late night.Overall good experience.

The Bar Terminal - TBT : this pure veg restaurant situated in fort area is a really good option for chilling out with your friends. Place is bit confusing to locate. But ambience is cool, different from routine restaurants. Staff is courteous and helpful. Service is great. Menu is filled with variety of veg options. Coming to what we had: Salads: We started with salads. We tried Cous cous salad and pomodoro salad. Both were good. I personally liked cous cous salad more, as it was flavourful, with lot of veggies and yes it was filling too. Cocktails: We tried Night to remember which was vodka based mocktail and Mosow mule which was a beer and vodka based. Both were great. Special mention for Mosow mule, loved it. Starters : For starters we had Mumbai cheese bread, cigar rolls and pita with Tzatziki. Cigar rolls stuffed with spinach and cheese were super tasty.. Main course : Tried their Tandoori smoked paneer pizza and risotto Sicilian for main course. Both were very good. Pizza was thin crust and tasted really good. Risotto was tasty too. Nicely flavored with parmesan and mozzarella. Loved it. Dessert : We had sizzling brownie with vanilla ice cream. Two brownies and two scoops of vanilla ice cream, topped with walnuts and off course lots of chocolate sauce.. The quantity was too good.. Desserts section offers bit less variety but overall the food, service and experience was really good.

This awesome place has something magical in it! There is some or the other event happening at this place. We went to TBT on Thursday night where they had a live performer. On Mondays and Tuesdays they have tom and jerry night. Wednesday they have board game night.They also serve Sheesha. They have separate space for smoking/sheesha. This place is located on 1st floor of spices and flavors located at fort. Its a perfect place to hang out with buddies. They are open till 1.30am. We loved this place. The crowd is happening😍 !!! This is a pure vegetarian restro bar and they would prepare all the dishes Jain too!! Food we ordered was Schezwaan Marbles (5/5) Crispy corn chilli pepper (5/5) Rissoto broccoli (5/5) Sizzling brownie with vanilla ice cream(5/5) Oreo milkshake(5/5) Blushing lady(5/5) Coco colada(5/5) Pizza Puchkas (5/5) My recommendation:- Oreo milkshake and scezwaan marbles. One of the finest bar I've came across in Fort. After an exhausting shopping weekend went here to cure my belly cramps. For a vegetarian it's pure Bliss to find a pure veg place to party and chill at. Amazing food and music. Weekends are sorted and the food is delicious. Don't miss out on trying their pink sauce pasta it's love.

Mumbai is known for night life. I just had awesome experience at the br. Great food, wow drinks and best is Dj. The yong crowd makes you feel back to your college life. Must try and value for money.

We bookes the table for 7 people and they confirmed the booking by sending a mesaage..but when we went over there they denied the booking by saying that all the tables have been booked already..we went there to celebrate the birthday party of one of my friends but they spoiled the party..I will suggest you guys to not to visit this place ever..go for Irish house..best place in the same location..

This restaurant does not have any respect and value for their regular customers. Afer comfirming the booking they deny entry by saying that tables are not there. Worst behavior. If they can do this type of behavior with regular customers just imagine what they would do to the new ones.

Their happy hours mak it a inexpensive place to visit. It is not usually super crowded even on a Friday night. It has a chill vibe and nice music to have fun to. The cheese corn balls however are a little too cheesy. The paneer chilli is a good snack.

Orders were not taken properly .. Manager is arguing instead of accepting the fact and providing a solution ..

Rumali masala papad is the best thing to have here...

Cafe tries to give a rustic and nomadic look but doesn't succeed as there's a difference between old world charm, nomadic backdrop and tawdry.<br/>Moving on, menu was just like another Cafe, a bit over priced but that's the case with other Fort restaurants/cafe/bars. We ordered enchiladas, nachos, peri peri French fries. It was average. Just like any other Cafe, not cheap, not savory just pure average and definitely didn't justify the price.

I like the ambience of the outlet. Some of the dishes are served very creatively. It is near to my working place so we visit here often after office hours. I also love the idea of how old discarded things have been used to decorate the restaurant. Quite sustainable approach.

Looking for a Saturday night getaway this is the perfect place for an immediate plan. Good place for dark night & live performances. Booze your heart out and some good to starters are just right there to accompany.

Hiding behind BSE building on first floor, you will find this Bar Terminal serving you good food and drinks at decent prices. Ambience is good with ample sitting space however you may feel little congested once everyone starts dancing. Staff is good and helpful

Happy hours pricing very good. We had ordered nachos , crispy veg , fries. Nachos was a disaster as the quantity was too less for that price or 380 + . Other items were good and a very good ambiance.

Dropped in here early evening. Had to search for this place a lot there's no proper signboard and the way to it is from inside another cafe which got us confused.<br/>Anyhow! The place is quite good and spacious. They have bar seatings, high tables, normal tables the place is not that bright and has old polished furniture which gives a rustic look to the place. They have quite funky chairs and tables. I personally loved their bar😍.<br/>For starters ordered spinach salsa : It was okish wasn't that bad but just not fond of having spinach other than at home😛 (Friend ordered). I just wish the spinach was finely chopped and that they did not cook the stem as well.<br/>Then had jalapeño poppers nothing different than the usual just loved the dip it came with.<br/>Had mixed sauce pasta it was quite good but could have added more flavor to it.<br/>The service was good they host you well. The seatings, arrangements, theme is very nice. Colorful doors, Unique tape recorders, antique telephones will catch your attraction in ambience. But that is the only thing which is good at bar terminal. Coz food & crowd was disappointing.<br/>Had ordered cheese balls & it was very bad.. there was no consistency.<br/>On their Zomato page they had given instructions for dressing code & all. So we went with a mindset that it will be really a happening place.. but found out gang of unclass men jabbering loud & annoying. Had to wind up quickly as couldn't bare them for long time. They have spent alot on interiors & seatings, which is to be appreciated, but Food , Music & crowd didnt give us that good experience.

TBT shares it's space with spices and flavours at fort and occupies the 1st floor neatly.<br/>The interiors are rustic and charming with the colorful doors,blackboards and tape recorders and antique telephones decorating the walls.<br/>The place is spacious with well spaced tables.<br/>I like their Jugaad menu which is one of the reasons why I visited them.<br/>Quirky combinations of food like my epic & huge Manchurian sandwich.<br/>You would love this, if you enjoy Desi Chinese like me.<br/>An unexpected but trending chakna platter<br/>Can anyone say no to chakli?<br/>Alcoholic popsicles is sheer brilliance.<br/>A little tip: Stick to the lime popsicle if you enjoy it sour else mango and watermelon is also an option.<br/>Lime popsicle for me all the way.<br/>The summer dream like it's name tasted like a dream.<br/>The service was flawless and the guy who was serving us gave us some good suggestions for drinks.<br/><br/>Definitely coming back and hoping they get back zomato gold too!<br/>

This is one of the few places in Fort which has enough space between the tables for you to enjoy a private conversation. On most days, it’s easy to get a table too!<br/><br/>The food is okay. Stick to the standard items and you won’t get disappointed. There’s no consistency in their preparations though. So you might not always get the same taste. <br/><br/>The safest option on their menu are pizzas and cheese chilli toast.

Try to make it before 9:30. Getting a table is pretty much difficult. Drinks are overpriced, seriously. Food we had cheese nuggets and farmyard(veg) pizza. Both the items were good in taste. Don't order nachos. Staffs are stubborn and arrogant. There did not even cooperate with us to get a comfortable seat though the bar was almost empty. Bad experience,sorry I had to mention this. Dj and music was fantabulous, it made us dance on some tracks, nice ambience also.

Place opposite to BSE, not so great experience with the food though ambience is good. Just to try we ordered nachos but it was disappointing. No value for money. We got disappointed with the first order itself that we didn't order anything else. Music was ok.

Well spaced out place. Confusing entrance. Moderately priced alcohol. No meats, which was a huge letdown. And nachos aren't supposed to swim in cheese.

Been to this place so many times I can't remember the exact number lol. Pocket friendly rates of food and drinks. Food - Too good, much better in presentation and quality. If you're in South, do try out this place. Behind the BSE.

If you walk for a minute or two from Bombay stock exchange, you can see this place , not crowded. I had a good time with friends, had some drinks which are at reasonable price considering the location. They charge high for peanuts😂.

I had a nice time here. It wasn't too crowded despite being the weekend, which I guess is good in some ways since the staff can attend to you. The food, especially the starters and munchies, are good, nothing out of the ordinary, but the place has catchy music and good vibes (the place is done up really well) so that makes a lot of difference. They have cool deals on the alcohol too.

This was a really boring place. The place was at least half empty on a Saturday night. They can really so with a better food menu. I wouldn't want to come here on a weekend at all.<br/>

The situation on the event day- Booked my table reservation via Zomato for the pre-Valentine night 13 Feb 2019. It was there Karaoke night on Thursday. After we reached there at 2200LT the organizers said there isn't any reservation made and then in a few minutes they advised that it was canceled. They obviously didn't have an answer to why the cancellation was actioned. <br/><br/>Positives- <br/>+The managers, there were available to alter the seating to fulfill our needs. We were happy eventually. <br/>+Food was good and fresh. <br/><br/>Negatives- <br/>- except for the unplanned cancellation no major negatives <br/><br/>therefore 4 stars. Will visit again.

A vegetarian lounge right next to BSE! I bet the traders can't ask for more. We reached here sulking about the long waiting time at 1441 pizzeria nearby. And sulked even more after we got to know TBT was vegetarian. We assumed it serves non-veg since it was a gastropub and we hardly have any of them serving veg. But boy we loved the place and how!<br/><br/>AMBIENCE:<br/><br/>Dimly lit yet pleasant. Enough for you to see your food. I love what they've done with their tables. The different signs and billboards are quite engaging. The bar counter made of crates is a necessary quirk to the ambience. They also served sheesha back when I visited. But I liked the fact that there's a separate area for the sheesha and it is encloses by glass walls and hence doesn't mess with others who do not want to put up with the smoke.<br/><br/>FOOD:<br/><br/>Most of the food despite of being vegetarian was drool worthy while just a few of the dishes were meh.<br/><br/>Jalapeño cheese nuggets: Crisp outside cheesy inside, perfectly done. The dip served with it was smoky and flavourful and went really well with it.<br/><br/>Nachos: One of the best I have had of its kind. The Nachos were crisp and tasty. TBT and S&F both of these places are under same roof. On the lower level (S&F) Indian cuisine is served and prepared while on the upper level all other cuisine are served. The concept of ambience is best out of waste which is clearly visible when one enters the place.<br/>Zucchini and Broccoli Tart Zucchini and broccoli sautéed and served in crispy cups. I haven't seen this dish on any other restaurant menu, so we decided to take a bite. It was yummy, the filling was delicious, and tarts were crunchy. Above all the presentation was great. A MUST TRY!

Had been there for drinks on a Friday. Was surprisingly easy to get a table. Wonder why they needed a cover charge. <br/>The bar bites (assortment of really random chakna) were strictly OK. Nachos were decent. <br/>The sangria was a let down. Too sweet and syrupy. Switched to beer to play it safe. <br/>Service was OK. Music became too loud after a bit and we ended up changing tables. Overall if you are in the area and need a table for sure, check this place out.

The Bar Terminal is located in Fort, and is very easy to find. The decor is quirky and very bright, it's very charming actually. The service is great with very accomodating staff.<br/><br/>What I had: For cocktails I had the night to remember, it was really good, it wasn't too strong, just right for me. The asparagus soup is another gem, creamy and warming. Perfect for cold weathers. Their chatpate aloo are really good. Masaaledar and a spicy, definitely recommend. The ferrero mouse was indulgent and delicious. <br/><br/>Overall, perfect to visit with friends, since they also have sheesha.

This place is awesome but visited this place on tuesday 11th december 2018... as it was a weekday the place was very quite with just 3 tables running... has always got a beautiful service in past but on that day it was very surprising... i had ordered tandoori smoked paneer pizza and few drinks too... drinks arrived and then followed by the so call tandoori smoked paneer pizza... the pizza didnt had any onions inside... as we called the waiter and told about it... firstly he said THERE ARE NO ONIONS IN THIS PIZZA.... i told him its written in the menu... he took the pizza for a check with the chef... surprisingly the chef said THE PIZZA HAS ONIONS INSIDE, AND WE ADD FRIED ONIONS IN THE PIZZA... I being a restaurant owner check the pizza in front of the waiter twice, it didnt had any onions nor any fried onions... and the waiter didnt had any courtesy to change or serve a fresh pizza with onions in it... ofcourse will visit this place again and again but hope so owner read this and improves the service... all over food is awesome and ambience is amazing

Prefect amount of cheese and cream, served with two pieces of very fine not soggy not too crispy garlic bread. <br/><br/>Triple Schezwan Rice: A1 presentation of rice surrounded by fried noodles and a bowl of veg manchurian gravy. <br/>Trust me it wasn’t just the presentation but the Schezwan Rice and the manchurian compliment each other but also tasted right individually. The Bar Terminal is a lounge type restaurant that is kind of between a restaurant and nightclub.<br/><br/>Located in an area where vehicles aren't allowed, it's best to take a cab or walk it up. Weekends will get very busy and wait times can be pretty long. It's usually a first-come-first-served establishment.<br/><br/>Most tables have high stools. The music is pretty good but is played too loud which makes it impossible to have a decent conversation. It's a great place for a get together with friends but isn't ideal for family gatherings or a date.<br/><br/>We only stopped by for dessert. We tried a classic, Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream. The brownie was decent and the walnuts on top went well with it. The chocolate sauce could have been made from better chocolate. Its taste was slightly artificial.<br/><br/>We also had some Oreo Mousse. This comes in a very small jar but it is packed with great taste. The mousse is thick and the oreo on top takes it to the edge. <br/><br/>Service was good. The only problem is that it's pretty difficult to call on someone because of the high music volume.<br/><br/>The Bar Terminal is a good place but it doesn't offer enough to warrant another visit.

The place is located near Bombay stock exchange, on 1st floor, above Spices and flavors.<br/><br/>Food and Ambiance:<br/><br/>They have average food menu with Jain options also. One major thing is they have no sizzlers. The place is pure veg. We tried Jalapeno Cheese poppers and Jain Paneer chilly for starters. Both dishes were good and sufficient quantity. Also tried Hummus with Pita, which was below standards. Nachos also were plain and served with just mayo. Tandoori Smoked Paneer pizza was yummy in taste. Presentation of the food dishes was good but nothing special in the food menu.<br/><br/>Ambiance here was pleasant and comfortable. Bar counter is very well decorated. Music also was amazing <br/><br/>Drinks and Service:<br/><br/>Another big off in their menu was they have different menu in restaurant compared to the one which is on Zomato. They have no beer options in lower category as per the Zomato menu. When confronted about it, staffs were not explanatory at all. Some options in menu also were not present that time so they suggested us alternative options.<br/><br/>Service in the restaurant is average. Some dishes were not served, just kept on the table. <br/><br/>Overall: Just average place in terms of food and drinks, which can be skipped as there are lot better restaurants in Fort and Colaba area.

Looking for a place with good vegetarian options at midnight, we came across this place. It is located near The Bombay Stock Exchange and is a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with the routes in that area. They have put a lot of efforts on the décor of this place which is evident from the unique chairs, few artistic tables and some wall art. The only thing that didn't work in our favour was it being a dry day that day :P. But the decor, service and the food made up for it. The service was very prompt. <br/><br/>Coming to the food we tried:<br/><br/>Veg. Manchurian: The Manchurian balls were good. The quantity was pretty good.<br/><br/>Cheese Jalapeno Nuggets: This is heaven for cheese lovers. Flooded with cheese with perfect hint of jalapenos, these nuggets were heavenly. And just when we thought this couldn’t get any better, the chutney served with it proved us wrong. <br/><br/>Pizza Puchkas: When you love pizza and puchkas (a kind of Pani Puri) and you find the two names together, you have to order it without second thoughts. This has to be the best noodles I've had in a long long time.
