The food is incredible. We got the lamb shanks and a chicken main and both were divine. The lamb was tender and juicy. The chicken was juicy and the veggies on the side were full of flavour. The staff is cordial and kind. The wines were amazing too. Overall a lovely restaurant, especially for a special meal.

♨️Recently made a visit to 266- The Wine Room & Bar. The place is based in Linking Road (Bandra). The place is really a hidden gem in Bandra. Describing more about the place, they have exclusive collection of wines (about 100+ types). Well their menu offers different cuisines but mainly it was Modern European cuisine. Another thing too fascinating about 266 was the use of local ingredients for better quality food. 📛Ambience is just a perfect end for a glass of wine with friend or a loved ones. The interiors look classy and warm. The dim lightings and comfort sofa seatings are just perfect for the even@ing. Bar looks classy and elegant. Following are the things which we tried for the evening. 📌BEVERAGES~ 1. Grapple- It was a mixture of Grapes and apple juice. Too refreshing. 2. The Smoked Affair- Mixture of Pineapple Juice, Peach Extract and star anise. Loved the flavours. 3. Guava Mary: Fresh Guava Juice spiced up with red chilly powder. Loved it. 📌FOOD~ 1. Lotus Crisps with gun powder- Superb. Crispy lotus chips served with a dip. This dip was really amazing. Loved the dish in all 2. Patatas Bravas- Potatoes with skin topped with amazing flavored sauce. Was really good. 3. Penne in Pink sauce- Basic Pasta made in mix sauce. Perfect taste. Was really good. 4. Gnocchi Gorgonzola- Gnocchi dumplings in cheesy sauce. Star Dish of the day. 5. Charred Broccoli and Cauliflower- I personally loved this dish. The mint base was lovely and amazing. 📌DESSERTS~ 1. Panna Cotta. Daily they have different type of panna cotta. We tried their Strawberry one. Really amazing. 2. Dark Chocolate Olive Oil Mousse. Small-small chocolate dollops with olive oil. This dessert was the best! 📌Overall we had a decent time here. However my experience was really good. Definitely looking forward to visit this place again. Perfect place for an evening. 266 - The Wine Room and Bar, Take a Bow Chef/Owner Sahil Arora & Riddhi Merchant. Some amazing Wine and Food after a long time. Ambiance/Service/Vibe/Food, No Complaints. Linking Road, Mumbai - Needed this. Modern Culinary techniques local produce. Menu is conceived. A small weekly special looks interesting as well. These guys are trying to get back the Wine culture back to India and pairing it with their dishes. Started off with CHANDON BRUT - (India) Priced at 2600++ (they have happy hours as well) where in it's a steal (1+1) check with the restaurant. Before I start the food would just like to add, both the chefs are from Le Cordon Bleu (Australia) Breads is I sourced from Alibaug, cheeses from Mumbai/Pune and TN. The list can go on. Started with Lotus Stem Crisps - Finely sliced and fried. A bit of Gun powder sprinkle to give that flavours and spice hit. Goes well with your wine. Served with Cilantro Mayo dip. Sweet Potato - Thin slice fried topped with aromatic spices and cilantro. Mayo cilantro dip (a tad oily) both these went well with the wine. Caprese - Europe is all about this salad. No rocket science. It's all about balancing. Bocconcini/tomato/Basil and a drizzle of Balsamic. Tasted fresh and lovely. Priced at 375+ is a steal. Octopus - was in 2 minds to try this. Polished it. Braised well (not chewy) tossed perfectly in garlic chilly dry. Nice glaze with a good texture. Went well with the House salad and bread. Squeeze the lemon and one can enjoy this dish. No flaws. Mushrooms - this was a semi liquid dish made of soy/kale and black rice with sesame. Could have been better. Balance was a bit of a miss here. A bit more of Black rice would have done the trick. It was all soya and spices at the end. MAYBE I asked for a small portion. Done with Chandon Brut Over to Chandon Rose - India does make lovely sparkling and when the temperature is right it's a delight to sip over some gourmet cuisine. Polenta - This was different. Round cake with a lovely texture topped with Corn/tomatoes a bit of Onions (guess) tomato chutney and Cream Cheese. Gives a bit of that tangy taste to it. Crunch from the corn as well. Overall a good vegetarian appetizer. Prawns - medium sized fresh catch with a nice cream sauce with wine cherry tomatoes garlic capers. This has it all. Balance was ok. A tad high of salt. However the prawns were delicious. Try out of you are a seafood lover. From the Special Menu we asked for 2 mains. --------------------------------------------------- Dill Infused Fettuccine - Homemade or rather In house. Done perfect. (Italian style) Not to mistake it with the Neapolitan. It's basically a broth which is used. Presentation was simple however the flavours stood out. Exotic vegetables Broccoli/Bocconcini/parsley/mushrooms to name a few. For me this was a good Main dish. One can ask for the Non Veg (chicken as well) priced at 475+ (add 125 for chicken ) Kerala Style Stew - This came as a surprise on the menu. Richness all over. Just amazing. Texture/Balance/taste - perfect combination of coconut/beans/carrots. Served with Malabar Paratha (flaky and light - can't get better) It's a meal by itself. Go for it. Desserts - One of the best I have had in recent time. It's all about balance here. Dark chocolate & Olive oil Mousse (could not get lighter than this) a bit of Salted nut praline. Orange zest to give that tangy citrus touch topped with Crumb. For me it was a perfect dessert. Coffee Panna Cotta - a complete miss. Ended with a 90 ml Dessert Wine - there is no definition for this. A bit sweet. Basically a Red fortified wine which one can consume after meals. Overall - a small miss here and there. Panna Cotta was a big miss. Would love to be back as there are some mouth watering dishes. Keep it up. All the best and cheers.

In their own words, ‘266 – The Wine Room and Bar ‘ is a place where modern culinary techniques reflect the flavours from different cuisines and create an amalgamation of textures presented in a single plate. In other words, this is a place that serves some kick-ass food with an amazing array of wine options. This expansive range of wines complements the modern European cuisine served here. 266 is not only a wine-lover’s paradise, but also a gastronome’s heaven. This means that the food here is equally incredible and goes great with the wine offerings. The Lotus stem crisps are a must-have. We also loved their Caponata on toast. For the main course we’d suggest you try their Gnocchi gorgonzola and the Eggplant Involtini. It is safe to say that you could literally order anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. It is the same with the desserts as well, we tried the Dark chocolate mousse, and we loved it! Also, the Chef (Mr. Sahil Arora) guided us through the wine experience and suggested us the best wines and cocktails that complemented our choice of dishes. Our personal recommendation would be Strawberry Hill. Their approach towards acquiring the ingredients for their dishes is also very unique. They take a lot of pride in their philosophy of using only locally grown produce. This ensures that the ingredients are fresh and the food is healthier. The modern vibe of this place makes it a great option to spend an intimate yet fun evening with your friends or family. It is elegant and beautiful. 266 is not just for meal, but it is an experience. It is the perfect culmination of great food and fine wine.

This place may look hole in the wall but is a decent 75 seater. It is audacious for the number of wines it has by glass , 58 and it surpasses all restaurants in the city to the best of knowledge. They have dared to put lesser know grapes like Albariño, Gruvee, Gewürztraminer, Nero D’Avola etc by glass and for a true wine lover it an opportunity to try different stuff. Sommelier Parth Mehta a Certified Somm is on the floor guiding people through the 125 something wine list. The baked Brie and lotus chips are lovely accompaniments to a lazy wine evening .

Had an amazing brunch at 266 - the wine room & bar this Sunday If you are at Bandra and looking for the perfect brunch spot then this is it Started off with the Berry 75 and the red wine sangria, the ideal start to a brunch In appetizers, we chose the chicken morsels and the incredible cheese board The cheese board is a must try here and they’ll suggest you the best wines to pair with it Speaking of which we also ordered the el cafe cocktail and the herb bliss El cafe was definitely our personal favourite, just so unique In mains, we tried the open caramelised fig sandwich, a very interesting dish topped with pine nuts, blue cheese and aragula We also tried the classic carbonara pasta, we thought it was a little dry but still tasted heavenly In desserts, we had the beautifully curated dark chocolate mousse Overall an amazing experience, so many great dishes and cocktails, some so unique that we can’t wait to visit again and try them Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Food: 5/5 On the pocket: ₹₹₹

Lovely place to just wind down with friends or a date. The menu is quite limited, but literally everything I've ordered from the menu is just perfect! Their brunch menu was just superb. Absolutely loved the Ambience, and I wish I could give another star for playing blues and jazz music. Even the cocktails are perfectly made. So if you are looking for a quite, mellow evening... this is the place to be.

Dinner in the 266 -The Wine Room and Bar interesting menu, wonderful meal that was perfectly served by our waiter, Joshua. The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. The place has shut their inner seating section so now it's just a small place with 3-4 tables, 2-3 high tables by the bar and a small bar. They have a nice variety of wines. We had the Pork Hash Browns, south Indian style prawns and the charcuterie and cheese platter for starters. All were v tasty. For main course we had pork belly and grilled chicken which were good too.

The plating and the taste was amazing, hats off to the chef. The wine selection was amazing, really loves up to the name. Will definitely return.

The 1200 plus taxes set lunch menu was worth the price. The chicken morsels, Grilled Chicken were quite tasty - the chicken was juicy and well cooked. Also liked the chicken waffle sandwich. Found the food in general to be bit oily though. Did not like the chicken on toast- too much masala! The barley risotto was bland. the tomato soup was just ok! Liked the corn salad. Great wine - Revello red and excellent offer ie unlimited refills for up to 3 hours! Overall a good experience.

I was at 266 wine room and bar which is located on Linking Road. The name which has 266 is the street no. 266, it's located right next to Shoppers Stop. We were here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Classy ambience and the place looks small when you enter with a nice bar. However it has more space on the inside which makes for a spacious restaurant. It's an Italian restaurant which has an exquisite collection of wines. You wouldn't believe it, but the quality is really nice. We were being served by Arin and Saurabh on the bar.

The place is very peaceful and you can really have a nice conversation and enjoy the food along which is value for money.

We started off with a couple of mocktails and a charcuterie and cheese board.

For mocktails we had the Spiced apple and the smoked affair both of them were nice. As the name suggests the Spiced apple consists of fresh apple juice, cinnamon and cloves. Nice refreshing drink. Rate it 4.5/5
The smoked affair consists of pineapple juice, peach extract and star anise. It's better than the spiced apple in taste. Touch sweeter in taste. Refreshing drink. Rate it 4.6/5

The cheese board has fresh figs, nuts in the form of almonds, pistachios, walnuts. Selected cheese like Edam, Peppercota and Camembert cheese. These were relatively hard cheese. Edam had nutty taste and firm texture. The peppercota(as informed by chef) had pepper flavour again a firm texture. It can be a pepper jack. Not too sure about the cheese. The last one was Camembert cheese a bit milky and soft. I enjoyed all the cheese served on the board. The cold cuts we got were chicken and pork cold cuts. Delicious cuts of meat. Rate the cheese board and charcuterie a 4.6/5

We tried some wine based cocktails with the cheese board. We also had a taste test of Primo Sangiovese Merlot. It was insane. So good. Nice peppery smooth flavours. Loved it.

So the wine based cocktails were Spicy conversation which had a York Cabernet Sauvignon, Captain Morgan, ginger and spices. It definitely was gingery and a touch spicy. Not too heavy on spice. Smooth red wine. Tasted wonderful. Nice quantity and great quality.
The other we had was Coco Jambo which had York Chenin Blanc, Greater Than and coconut. This was white wine. Not as good in taste as the previous one. But definitely a must try. Again nice smooth wine with a little sweetness coming from the coconut syrup. Loved both the wine cocktails. Rate the Spicy conversation a 4.9/5
The coco Jambo a 4.5/5

Coming to food we had Lamb Polpetini which is made with lamb is a meat ball dish with tomato sauce and smoked scamorza. I must say it's a heavy quantity dish. Nice tomato flavour and juicy meat balls. Value for money. Rate it 4.7/5

Next we had Pulled Pork Hash Brown with sunny side egg and bacon. Heavenly is the first word when i remember the dish. Perfect dish for a meat lover. Nothing gets better. There is bacon, pulled pork, eggs, hash brown which is typically potatoes. The textures and juicy flavours just take over your senses. It's got sweet, salty and fatty notes to the dish. Highly recommended. Rate it 5/5

For mains we had a Pesto Chicken Pizza. It had tomato sauce, walnut, confit garlic, basil, parmesan shaving. One of the best thin crust Nepolitan style pizza. High on taste with the fresh pesto and perfectly cooked chicken. The base tomato sauce is the best i have had anywhere. Rate it 4.9/5

For dessert we had Dark Chocolate and Olive Oil Mousse with Mulberries, Himalayan pink salt. Decadent. Delicious, perfect texture of mousse. Definitely a must try when at 266. Highly recommended dessert. The combination works wonders with bitterness coming from the dark chocolate and tang coming from the Mulberries the salt and the sweetness in the mousse. Very less on sweetness compared to many other places. This is quality stuff. Rate it 5/5

We also had some poached pears in red wine. I liked the poached pears. Very less sweetness added to the dish. There is whipped cream which gives the sweetness. There is a waffle at the bottom for texture. But didn't like it much. The poached pear had the red wine flavour. It's awesome. Enjoyed it. Rate it 4.6/5

Overall I had a great time trying some authentic Italian food. It was lovely being there. Very cooperative and helpful staff. Courteous in approach. Can be a bit more trained with the dishes and the elements in them. Nevertheless I had a great time. The food has lived upto expectations and the wine is just the best collection you may find in Mumbai. So i will definitely be back for my most favourite dish which was the Pulled Pork Hash Brown.

Till then Bon Appetit!!

Wanted to dine at a place which serves wine and had bit of romantic decor , dropped by this place last night.

📍This place is located in bandra west , linking road.

>Ambience - 266 is a dark quaint little place having perfectly positioned stock bar. It has few high chairs and some comfy couches to dine.
>Food - More of authentic European is what you can expect from 266- The wine room. The bar here have a lot to offer to the patrons.
>Hygiene- The hygiene standards are maintained well.
>Value for money-
>Our order -
R: denotes Recommendations.

•DRINKS:
1)Red wine(R)- The highlight of this place is their wine offerings, this was indeed great and just perfect to sip on with your dinner.
2)Basil blast- Basil muddled with orange and topped with soda and dash of lime juice was super refreshing.
3)Daiquiri(R)- Had this mocktail over here and it was served in a martini glass having salt coated on the rim, it was bit fizzy and flavorful. Loved it!

•APPETIZERS:
1)Butter garlic prawns- The portion size served was fantastic but it needs a lot of improvement as it wasn’t that great , however for the price it was good.
2)South Indian styled prawns- Prawns sauted in spice gravy having fine blend of spices along with curry leaves giving it somehow taste of chettinad flavor. The amount of oil could have been bit less.
3)Chicken morsels(R)- It was basically tikki (mini cake) having blend of thyme , rosemary which was indeed a great appetizer we had here.

•MAIN COURSE:
1)Grilled Chicken- Grilled chicken breast served with mashed potatoes (asked for) , a great main one can opt for if you want to have something healthy and tasty at the same time.

•DESSERTS:
1)Chocolate mousse(R)- Dark chocolate mousse sweetened to perfection having rich texture was a fabulous end to our meal.

-•- Overall experience was Good and they are indeed one of the finest providers of wine.
If you are a wine lover you should definitely visit this place!

•Food - 8/10
•Ambience - 7/10
•Staff- 8/10
•Value for money - 7/10
•HYGIENE- 10/10

*REVIEW IS BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!

We were here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It's a quite restaurant with a nice looking bar. The ambience is perfect for a conversation. It's comfortable and cozy. The menu is elaborate. They serve authentic Italian cuisine. We ordered for a Pesto Chicken Pizza. It was delicious. Really one of the best pizzas I have had. It had walnuts, confit garlic, basil and shaved parmesan. Tasted really good. Thin crust with lovely tomato base sauce. Highly recommended.

We had a cheese board with Peppercotta, Edame and Camembert along with which fresh figs were served and also some dried nuts like pistachios and almonds. The cheese was tasty and it's a very unique experience personally for me.

Then we had a lamb dish named Lamb Polpetini. It's made in a vibrant tomato sauce with smoked sacrmoza. More like meat balls in tomato sauce. But the smoked flavor was good along with the strong tomato sauce.

Next we had a Pulled Pork Hash Brown which for me was the best dish. It had an egg and lots of bacon. This dish gets addictive the sweet salty and fatty taste just makes it so delicious . Some real good dish. Worth every penny.

For drinks we had the Spicy Conversation and the Coco Jambo. Both of them were nice. But I enjoyed the Spicy conversation more . It goes well with the cheese board.

For mock tails we had Spiced Apple and Smoked Affair. Both of them were good.

For desserts we had a Poached Pear in red wine. Served on a waffle. It's a nice dessert not over sweet but having the wine flavor. Really enjoyed this dessert. But the Dark Chocolate and Olive Oil Mousse was much better and really delicious. Cleaned up the plate. Finger lickin good. The combination of mulberry and dark chocolate was really great. The texture of the olive oil mousse was smooth and delectable. Highly recommended dessert.

Overall we had a great time. The food and drinks enjoyed in the calm of the restaurant just made our day. Really a worth it restaurant and at such reasonable rates for such high quality of food offered. Will be back again soon!

80th Restaurant to be rated a complete 5on5 by me.

266 The Wine Room & Bar is located on Linking Road Bandra and it shares its space with The Great Punjab restaurant.

The restaurant is divided into 2 seating areas and the overall ambiance is modern and elegant. The bar looks great and the information given about wines on the walls is just perfect for a place like this which specialises in serving various types of wines. The seatings are comfortable and options are nice for all size of groups.

The menu contains European & Italian cuisines. The menu is not too big but the options available are satisfactory. The bar menu is amazing as they have kept an amazing variety of wines & cocktails. Prices are at par with similar kind of restaurants and the quantity served is decent.

I went here for lunch and the kitchen service was on time and the table service given by staff Lucy was excellent as she knew the menu well and she was attentive and proactive.

What We Had -
APPETIZERS~
Pan Seared Gnocchi -
Amazingly tender gnocchi done with rocket leaves, garlic, onions and walnuts. This dish had amazing earthiness and it had very light yet perfect flavours.

Chicken Morsels -
Juicy chicken pieces with thyme and rosemary rub tasted delicious. I loved the grilling texture and the aroma and taste if thyme was just perfect.

Butter Garlic Prawns -
Fresh prawns with right amount of garlic with some bell peppers tasted great. The dish didn't had pungency of garlic and I loved eating this.

MAINS~
Blanco Pizza -
Perfect soft base topped with generous amount of cheese, button mushrooms, onions, thyme and garlic tasted brilliant. The base was amazing as it was soft plus the toppings were great and the chilli oil served along was too good.

Chicken Barley Risotto -
Tried this version of risotto for the first time and loved it. Barley done in nice amount of cheese and chicken added tasted good. It definitely tastes different from the normal risotto but less on cheese and its not too heavy for the appetite. Loved it.

DESSERTS~
Dark Chocolate & Olive Oil Mousse -
One of the best dark chocolate mousse dessert I have tried in recent times. Dark chocolate & olive oil mousse with cookie crumbs and mulberry tasted amazing. The mousse had amazing fine texture and it was not too bitter as well. Loved every spoon of this.

MOCKTAILS~
Pumba -
Made with cranberry juice & fresh coriander and taste wise very refreshing and the coriander was not overpowering.

The Smoked Affair -
Made with pineapple juice, peach extract, burnt star anise and taste wise amazing as the smoky flavours goes really well with other ingredients.

So the meal at 266 - The Wine Room & Bar was perfect as I loved the food, the service was great and the overall ambiance is nice and perfect for every occasion. Ever want to take your partner on a romantic date then 266- The Wine Room and Bar is the best place for you. No wonder it features in the most romantic restaurants in Zomato. The ambience of the place is quite nice and it feels quite peaceful to be here. Also if you are a wine fanatic, then they also have in store some amazing wines🍷 to serve you.

They have an amazing Drinks menu🥂🍸. They serve some of the most amazing Sangrias, Martinis and cocktails.

Speaking about the food, their menu is just fabulous.

I ordered the following:-

I started with the Appetizers and tried The 266 Cheese Board and the Butter Garlic Prawns. The cheeses were Camembert, Pepper Gouda and Cheddar cheese. Served along was a fig jam, some thinly sliced apples, fig slices, pickled veggies and nuts. I just loved it.
The Butter Garlic Prawns is the one I recommend. The prawns were moist and cooked to perfection in that drooling butter sauce and cherry tomatoes.

In the Mains I had the Pulled Lamb Roulard and Spaghetti Pesto Cream with Chicken.
The Pulled Lamb Roulard was a melt in your mouth experience. The meat was moist and it was paired with a creamy polenta and a jus with roasted onions and thinly sliced carrots and zucchini.
The Spaghetti won my heart. Cooked Al dente in the creamy pesto sauce it felt so light and was amazing. The chicken pieces were also moist. I absolutely loved it.

I ended my meal with two great deserts. I had the Panna Cotta and the Dark Chocolate and Olive Oil mousse.
The Panna Cotta was creamy and light. Served along with it some caramelized crisp pineapple slices. Most recommended by me.
The Dark Chocolate Mousses was also good. A bit bitter in taste, it was paired with some Mulberry’s and sprinkled with Himalayan Salt. Loved it

The staff here make you feel comfortable and warm. Overall a beautiful experience.

266 the wine room and bar as the name itself suggests it has a lot of variety in wines and some of the best wine cocktails. On reaching the place I was thoroughly impressed with its breathtaking rich interiors and the cosy seating arrangement.
Started off the meal with The 266 Charcuterie and cheese board which consisted of different types of flavoured cheese alongside fresh fruits and nuts in addition to toasted bread and crackers truly turned out to be amazing while sipping onto The Star Gazer and Tropical kiss cocktails.
Then we called in for the Pulled Pork Hash Brown and Butter Garlic Prawns and clubbed with soothing cocktails like Kala Jamun Sangria and Old fashioned which turned out to be one of my favourites because of the perfect hit of whiskey added to it.
Lastly we couldn’t resist ourselves from calling for the very delicious Pepperoni Pizza and certainly relished every bit of it.
Ended our meal on the sweetest note with the Dark Chocolate and Olive Oil Mousse which had Mulberries to add it truly loved the tangy flavour of the berries alongside strongly flavoured dark chocolate mousse.

266 Wine Room & Bar is a hidden gem located in Bandra west, right beside Shoppers Stop. This casual dining restaurant is a place that houses a variety of wines and their menu consists of predominantly European dishes. They also have a Sunday brunch and since we love laid-back brunches, hence we decided to give this place a try!

We started off with a couple of cocktails to go along with our Sunday brunch. Here’s the brief:

1) 266 Pineapple Sangria – A sweet, tart and refreshing sangria which is a blend of pineapple sangria, vodka and apple. We absolutely LOVED this cocktail and it certainly is a must-have here! Paired beautifully with all the dishes which we had tried. Highly recommended.

2) 266 Mango Sangria – A blend of mango cider and whiskey. We really liked this cocktail as well, however, if we had to choose, our favourite would be the 266 Pineapple Sangria. This cocktail is a must try for whiskey lovers.

3) Mushrooms on Toast – Soft, creamy and melt in the mouth mushroom pieces mixed together with cream and thyme and served on toast! This was just WOW! The PERFECT way to start our meal! A burst of flavours on the palette and it was absolutely delish! Highly recommended.

4) Bianco – A thin-crust pizza with mushrooms, onions, thyme and confit garlic. The pizza had a good amount of cheese and toppings and more importantly, we could actually taste the mushrooms, onions and garlic in every bite! Delicious!

5) Chicken Morsels – Juicy, tender and succulent pieces of chicken marinated with thyme and parsley along with a secret rub. The chicken was cooked to absolute perfection and just melted in the mouth. The herbs certainly took this dish a notch higher. Loved the flavour profile! Highly recommended.

6) Pulled Pork Open Sandwiches – Pulled pork marinated in a sweet and smokey BBQ sauce and served on a toast. It was topped off with a cabbage slaw and served with herbed potato chips and a parsley dip. Well, we absolutely LOVED every single element on this dish – the herbed potato chips were crisp, crunchy and unique in taste, the parsley chutney was delicious and the pulled pork on toast was perfectly cooked and bang on! Highly recommended.

7) Grilled Prawns – Succulent and tender herbed grilled prawns served along with a side of greens. The salad comprised of pomegranate seeds, capers, baby tomatoes, lettuce, arugula leaves and lemon wedges. Tasted good.

8) Dark Chocolate & Olive Oil Mousse – Light, soft and aerated dark chocolate and olive oil mousse with mulberries and Himalayan pink salt. The mousse was delicious and it was perfectly balanced with the tartness of the mulberries. Love the fact that this dessert wasn’t too sweet, just perfect. A must try!

9) Panna Cotta – A wobbly and creamy panna cotta served with crispy waffle pieces and lightly dusted with cinnamon. Nice!

On the whole, we absolutely enjoyed our Sunday brunch here at 266 wine room and bar and will surely visit again to try out their regular menu as well.

This place has very romantic vibes with the pleasant music and beautiful candle lights. So I went to 266 after shopping on the streets of Bandra and boi this tiny restaurant blew my mind. The service is especially spot on, the Sommelier Parth made quiet an impact. This pla e has a wine by the glass selection of 32 labels and he makes sure he spoils you. Had a lovely time wine-ing and dining and would recommend this place for dates and occassions.

Went here yesterday i.e. Sunday night for dinner with a friend. We ordered a fruit & cheese board plus some chips & dips to go with our wines. The nuts that came with the cheese were soggy/stale same for all the chips in our chip & dip platter. While i understand that it’s been raining in the city, i would expect a restaurant to know how to keep such food items crisp & fresh. We ordered the gnocchi for mains. I have always loved the gnocchi here but it had tooo much of salt yesterday. Maybe the chef was not in the mood 🤷🏻‍♀️. 2/5 only because the drinks were nice.

This is my first review. I am no blogger I was forced to write this review because of some self proclaimed blogger harassing a small restaurant because of their opinion about the food. I dine at 266 almost once a month, not just for there food but also for their wine collection.

I started my Meal with Martini Prosecco and a Ceviche which was made using fresh catch of the day, being thalipa.

Followed my favourite lotus Stem which I had with smoked Old fashioned which the bartender Krishna made for me saying it's coming on the new menu.

We also tried a pan seared gnocchi, which is by far one of best gnocchi I had in this town.

They removed mushroom barley risotto from the menu which was my favourite but the chef was kind enough to make one for me.

According to me this a perfect spot for a date or your friends if you are are looking a quieter place to have actual conversation.

I don’t know a lot about food but I acknowledge that the chef, being far more qualified than myself, having real culinary degrees, the staff making me comfortable, is reason enough to be kind and appreciative of what is being put in front of me.

PS: I also loved the food

266 is a crime of unrealised potential.

I had visited about a year ago and left with notions of decent European food being served in a chic, softly lit restaurant. However a year on and while the menu is relatively unchanged, sloppy execution pervades just about every aspect of the restaurant.

Let's start with the most reprehensible: a "baked" Camembert which arrived stone-cold. It was surreal that a half-wheel of Camembert could be this gooey yet taste like it had just come out of an industrial refrigerator. It's rare that I send dishes back, but this deserved it. The waiter, under duress of the kitchen, tried to send it back out claiming "this is how a baked camembert should be" or words to that effect. At this point, I introduced the waiter to the most simple of temperature tests, take a spoonful of cheese and dip a finger in it. Thinking a dose of 'learning by doing' might have hit home, the same dish arrives for a second time, tepid at best.

It's not just the Camembert that had thermic issues, but the eggplant involtini also was inconsistently reheated. The dish itself was well conceived: thin slices of eggplant stuffed with diced mushrooms in a pleasant tomato sauce. However mouthfuls of cold 'shrooms are not what you'd expect from this calibre of restaurant. The cheese board is passable but hardly a generous affair with a few small cubes of Edam, Brie and Gouda.

The table next to us seemed to be revelling in the happy hour offer, which the waiters were enthusiastically trying to sell like tele-marketeers. To be fair, 1200 INR for unlimited cocktails might be enough to get you sufficiently inebriated to skip over the poorly executed dinner service.

The challenge of finding a good modern European restaurant in Bandra continues...

“And gladly wolde he lerne, and gladly teche"

AA Connoisseur

Karan Karayi Mumbai Foodies Archana Suresh Thecurvedprobe So_Im Sampurna

I would actually give it a 3.5. The best aspect of 266 is that it serves vallonne wine. We had the riesling with a charcuterie board. We had gone for the brunch but ended up ordering a la carte as it suited us better. The charcuterie board though limited is nice. We also had the eggs Benedict & open pulled Pork sandwich which were great. The grilled chicken was nice. The mushrooms on Toast & honey glazed sausage were nothing to write home about. The pizza was not nice.

Located next to the shoppers stop at Bandra, Linking Road, this place is like a hidden gem.
From their greeting, to service, to suggestions, the managers hosting, and the staff, everything was perfect.

We went here on a Saturday night, and the ambience of this place was just too good for a not too loud night. They had candle lights, wine charts and varieties, the chandelier lights, were all good.

For mocktail:
The smoked affair: 9.5/10
Basil blast: 8/10

Appetisers :
Lotus stem crisps: they served a different than usual kinda lotus stem which was with an avocado cream sauce- 7.5/10

Vegetable Arancini: very similar to cheese corn balls, but a better taste with vegetables and cheese inside - 8.5/10

Mains:
Volcano pizza; great taste for everyone who loves pizzas with loaded veggies and cheese : 8/10

Dessert:
Dark chocolate and olive oil mousse: 8/10

In love with the ambience of this place :)
I absolutely loved this place! From the ambience, to the music, to the service - everything was fabulous. We did not order much in terms of food, since it was just two of us looking for small portions - but we enjoyed the Fried Lotus Stems and the Veg Risotto - it's one of the nicest risottos I have had in a while! The server - was prompt in filling up our glasses, recommending food and answering questions. The wine recommendation was also great. We did not want a very expensive version, but were keen on trying something interesting. Her recommendation matched our preference perfectly (San Valentin by Torres). We had mentioned we have Gold earlier, but had not shown the code. The server did accept it during billing since we had already told her about the same.

I cannot wait to just visit again and chill here casually. It had a lovely casual vibe.Price is a bit steep, but worth the vibe.
Taher Shehabi
The food is very very average, in quality and quantity, not worth the amount you're paying for.
The wine is good but not a drinker so can't comment about the price. The people I went with told me their collection of wine was good so no personal comment on that again.

But reason for my 2 star is the service. Absolutely atrocious service. Took almost half an hour for the server to come to the table when the place was not even full (it was a Thursday night). Server didn't know about the dishes either. Another server "accidentally" broke a wine bottle near our table and didn't have the courtesy to move us to a better one.

This place is just amazing. Totally love the ambiance and the food is yummm with the best service. Had a great experience, looking forward to visit again.

I visited 266 The Wine Room & Bar recently and it is such a cute little spot. We tried a range of cocktails and wines and the recommendations by the sommelier was exactly according to our taste. The food was impeccable and we loved the seafood risotto. The soft Jazz and wines with delicious food made the whole experience better! Will definitely visit again.

The best wine bar in the city! We went on a Saturday night, the entire place was lit up with candles and thats pretty romantic. Definitely had the best anniversary celebration with my boyfriend. Definitely ask for Krishna, he made some very interesting cocktails for us. Our seever Nano was excellent and he explained the food very well.

We went for the unlimited cocktail offer. They have a good collection of cocktails. The service was very prompt and the music is soft and you can actually have a conversation unlike other places around town. We had the farm house pizza and pesto pasta recommended by Omkar, which were both outstanding. A place for the value for your buck!

This small place hidden behind the trees.. is a gem of bandra

Where you get amazing food , freshly prepared ( also as per you , then can customize tooo).

Chef Sahil being an owner , himself makes sure the quality and presentation of food.
On the other side, their sommelier Parth Mehta suggests best pairing of wines and cocktails.

Last but not the least... Good things come in small boxes..do visit for some relishing dishes.

The manager is very unfriendly and rude. I'd gone last night with a couple of friends and we took their unlimited house wine offer. One of my friends had to leave around 11 so we called for the bill and specifically told the waiter that the rest of us would like to enjoy the unlimited wines until 11:30. We all cleared the bill and later the waiter refused to give us refills saying that we had already paid the bill so he couldn't. The manager was being completely unreasonable and frankly spoke to us very rudely. Horrible horrible customer service.
Sunanda Srinivas
Extremely unfriendly manager, who was so belligerent. Value for money was zero. A classy place with wine isn’t going to guarantee you great customer service for sure

I am the fan of the food they customised for us....nice cosy place...very romantic for a date night....the wine cocktails are a must try....I enjoyed every bit of it.....must visit place with your loved one...prompt service...very empty for a Friday night...but vibe of the place was super...

Nice ambience, loved the music and but the food and service was aweful. The farm pizza was tasteless and the pesto pasta was a watery chezzy mess with no pesto. The whole experience left a very bad taste.

Lovely place to go with friends or a date. The menu is quite limited, but literally everything I've ordered from the menu is just perfect! Their Al carte menu was just superb. Absolutely loved the ambience, star for playing blues and jazz music are good. Even the cocktails are perfectly made. So if you are looking for a quite, mellow evening... this is the place to be.

Everything is A+ class. The food is very good, ambience is nice. Only thing missing is these guys need to increase the portion size. It was way too small for whatever we ordered. Increase the portion size and you'll get more business. Cheers!

Here's to 266-The wine room and bar😍🍷🍹🍛 Since this place has a very good food hygine rating on zomato we thought of checking it ourselves and we weren't disappointed. 👑😋 The restaurant really upholds good hygine standards.🙂

1.)The first picture contains their signature dish - The lotus stem crisp. It had finely sliced lotus roots fried and dusted with gunpowder.😍

2.)We also tried the Indian inspired chicken on toast which is a great snack with beer. 🍻

3.)The chicken barley risotto was appetizing for our not so vegetarian friends.🍲

Overall we loved the place as the staff was very courteous and we recommend it for a perfect candle light dinner.😍🕯️

Visited this place on a wednesday evening with hubby for dinner. Quaint n classy is what I would like to say about it. The grey interiors and the lighting just shoo's off the day's greys I must say. We had the rose wine which was excellent. Followed by kala jamun sangria which was on a much sweeter side. Also the red wine sangria which was too good. For appetisers we have the chicken stir fry which was nice followed by butter garlic prawns which was on the point... Also the chicken on toast was good. The damages done were around 4k. Special mention of Rohit who helped us cruise through the menu... A must visit if you want to have a nice time and good food.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and found the place exquisite. The decor is very classy and the staff extremely cordial. They suggested us the perfect wine basis the preference that we asked for. They wine collection is one of the best I have seen in Mumbai and the food menu is highly complimentary to the wine collection. We tried a mushroom started and a pizza both of which were very well made and better than expected in terms of the taste. The pricing was slightly on the expensive side but I suppose that’s the positioning they are trying to maintain. The place is small however with limited number of tables, so would recommend a table reservation in case you are planning to visit.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was just fantastic. They handled our reservations very well and even shifted it to a little later on our request. There was a jazz band playing great music...the wine recommendations were great...and the food was delicious. All in all had a perfect birthday evening.

Food: (4/5) Portions was very less for the appetizer. We had Grilled Calamari, Pork Belly and Spaghetti with Prawns. Pork Belly had a lot of fat/oil in it. The rest were great. For drinks, we had Grapple, Guava Mary and Litchi Sangaria. Grapple is recommended.

Ambience: (4/5)
Really nice, calm, soothing atmosphere and great music.

Went here with a group of friends last night: apparently they turn the place into a candle lit scene on saturdays so that turned into quite a weird vibe for a group hang at first but then we got used to it. They have a good wine selection better than most places of course. The food was pretty disappointing though: things we liked: Arancini balls and polenta with mushrooms, things we didn’t enjoy so much prawns, chicken, pizza and risotto.

To start with, as I entered the place, I found it really dark with a simple candle on each table. I could barely see what I was eating and food starts with a visual experience for me. However, since you couldn't see much, there were lesser distractions which makes this the kind of place you visit to spend time having quality conversations with a loved one. The lack of visibility also improves your sense of taste. But if you're like me, weirdy aversive to dimly lit places, it may get to your nerves. The music when we arrived, didn't go with the vibe of the place, loud and JUST. NOT. RIGHT. But we requested them to switch to some soft jazz and they kindly obliged with a sweet smile. The romantic setting and their fantastic collection of wines is sure to set the mood right.
The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Mushroom on Toast first. The generous cilantro in there really brought a lot of freshness to your palate. Next we ordered their Chicken Barley Risotto. Very rarely have I liked a Risotto which isn't cheesy. And this one was wow! It was super garlicky, with a strong celery flavour that really balanced the garlic. We closed of with their martinis, the regular and basil ones. And I absolutely loved my basil Martini. Beautifully flavoured, made with Gin, with just the right amount of sweet and right amount of alcohol. But if you're a strong one, their regular martini will hit you quick and give you a lovely high without burning your throats off.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend you to give this place a shot.

#EatSipBurp

Visited 266 wine room at linking road. Ordered for the cheese platter to perfectly blend with our wine. They had a huge variety of wine & cocktails. Their cocktails with sparkling wine were just on point.
We also tried the lotus stem crisps which were the perfect nibbles with our drinks.
A very cute place for anniversaries.
The next we got our hands on some crispy chicken wings. Saucy , spicy & delicious were they.
Also their bbq pizza was something not to miss.
Ending it on a sweet note we had the pannacotta. Jiggly soft & melted in our mouth.

Wine room is tucked into the busy lanes of Bandra linking road right next to shopper stop ,we visited the place on a Wednesday night and it was not very busy ,as per the food the cheese board was a must to be tried which was a platter of all indian made cheese and crackers with dry fruits and fresh fruits .
The starters we ordered were the wings which was delightful and full of flavour ,the main course we ordered was a arabetta pasta which was cheesy and heavy and the rolled up chicken which was a decent meal for one
Over all we would have appreciated if we had the waiter tell you the cheese we were served and the place be more keen on serving it's wine collection and suggest us wines along with the dishes we ordered ,overall the place has great potential and the owner was a delightful and proud man ,a candle light dinner for two is Highly recommended

This would be my 4th visit. Have never been disappointed in the past, but this visit was extremely disappointing, food wise. We always keep coming for their mussles & clam dish (in which they substitute prawns for clams due to their non availability). Having said that, the sauce was too salty, the mussles was overcooked and not cleaned properly. This was extremely shocking since we have been ordering the same dish at least twice in the same sitting, just for that amazing sauce. However this time's visit was a let down.
Good wine collection but availability is an issue

But that’s also to do with stringent regulations on imports in India

When I recommended that maybe they mark what is not available as 2/4 wines listed under the Rose section were not available , they politely explained that the new menu is on d way

But nevertheless they also stock wine not listed on the menu hence be sure to take suggestions and advice

We were happy with the rose they served us , the sommelier s suggestions were very good

Coming to the food we ordered the mince chicken lettuce wrap , good but chicken has too much soya

For the mains the fish of day was red snapper - which was a let down - the fish was raw and played poorly with raw onions on top

Instead we ordered the Malabari Parantha with prawn stew - the stew was good but had few pieces of prawns

The dessert we chose was panna cotta - it was coconut flavoured had decent texture but not for those who don’t like coconut in desserts

Overall good place with an eclectic mix of wine but food could be better !

An absolute fancy dining place with an extensive menu of wine and fantastic wine cocktails.. paired our cocktails with the charcuterie.. loved it.

We tried some interesting lip smacking wine cocktails.

For starters we opted for:
*Chicken morsels- tender chicken pieces mildly spiced. It was the chef's special. Could have been more flavoursome.

*Lamb poplettini- dumplings of lamb topped with arrabiata sauce. Loveddddd it..

*Charcuterie- chicken salami, bacon, sausages, Indian made cheeses, fruits, dryfruits, an exotic array to go with your wine.

For the next round of our drinks the bartender got us some in house special cocktails- vodka and spiced rum based, which we absolutely loved.

For mains we opted for:
*Chicken two ways- chicken roulade and a big breast piece of chicken served over potato mash, veggies and a nice crispy patty along with lipsmacking sauce. Yummm

*Spaghetti in pink sauce- I don't think anybody can go wrong with this. Perfectly made spaghetti with loads of chicken. Delicioussss..

Finally, to end our meals we ordered:
*Pineapple panacotta- can be given a miss. Didn't really like it much.

*Chocolate mousse- absolutely loved this dessert. Can come back here just for this again!

Overall, had an amazing experience and a perfect date night. Our server Rahul recommended all great dishes and cocktails. Surely visiting again.

266- The Wine Room And Bar is one of the High-end restaurants located at a prime location in Bandra. The Ambience is Superb ensuring a luxurious Dining experience (i just loved their creativity at the bar counter). We tried

Watermelon Mojito : A Combination of watermelon pieces ,mint and crushed ice ,this drink is extremely refreshing on a hot summer day.

Chicken Two Ways: I loved the presentation but they could have played better with the flavours .The platter contained Chicken Breast, Broccoli,Baby Carrot, Chicken Roulade and potato puree . Chicken Roulade was extremely dry but i liked the sauce that had been served with it.

Prawns: I am a big fan of butter garlic prawns so this dish had to be on my list. The prawns were fresh ,huge and beautifully cooked. The Butter garlic sauce with cherry tomatoes was flawless. Definitely a highly recommended dish

The staff is courteous and polite.

I recently visited 266 - The wine room & bar at Bandra. Its hardly 5mins from the railway station. The ambiance is very classy. Its one of the best places for candle lit dinners. I liked chicken morsels and lotus stem crisps for starters. For mains I would recommend chicken two ways. It was delicious. Berry hill & get fresh was my favorite. For desserts we tried far chocolate mousse which was just the perfect end to the meal. The staff was very well aware and great with recomendations. The service was pretty quick as wel. Since I was in the vicinity it just made sense to go to 266 due to the proximity of the location. I was just doing dinner with a friend and dint look up the place before.
Entered it and to my surprise it was a very ‘date-y’ venue. We still stuck around :)
Weirdly I’ve been craving burrata for a few days now and was so excited to see it on the venue. Of course we had to order it and was really happy with the outcome. It was so fresh and tasty. The tangy tinge of tomato and sweetness of beetroot enhanced its flavour even more.
We also ordered the chicken barley risotto and were wondering how it would taste because you see ‘barley’ !! But the flavour was just so good.
Their wine venue is quite extensive and if like me, you’re a wine person you are in for a treat.
The ambience is very soothing and the low lighting just adds to the vibe. My favourite part was the music. It’s a very well curated list.
The staff too were really nice and helpful.
I really want to go back here again and this time with a cute ‘date’

A small cozy outlet with dim lighting , perfect escape from the blues on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Was here for their Sunday brunch - overall really enjoyed the food and the playlist in he background !

Ill drink (a mocktail) to that !
-----------------------------
Grapple :
Beautifully presented - a concoction of apple & grape with thinly sliced grape - Very elite !
Mango basil:
well muddled basil , refreshing & balanced !

Lets get some food in the system !
----------------------------------------------

Shakshuka:
egg steamed & cooked over a lovely arabiatta at its base
I haven't tried the authentic Israeli version , but I did like the taste of this one, and thankfully the egg was little overcooked which works better for me than a runny egg yolk and white: )

Grilled Chicken on Garlic Bread served with a side of sweet potato crisps:
this was like a caprese sandwich with mozzarella and basil - Simple , refreshing and what a flavorful combination. Simplicity at its best ! Would love for my Sandwich loving friends to try this - great work !

Chicken Morsels:
tender chicken thigh pieces with thyme and a secret rub - moist, balanced and

For mains ,
we tried the grilled Prawns which was more like a starter with salad on the side, and Grilled Chicken fillet with a diced mushroom pepper gravy and mashed potatoes , which was good.
Mains were decent, was not a fan of either of the mains I tried, maybe a different dish next time !

Surrender to the sweet tooth !
----------------------------------------------
Chocolate mousse with Mulberry compote - dark chocolate thick mousse served in the shape of a quenelle. Had a strong flavor of coffee as well- very intense for my palate since im not much of a chocolate person, but really good quality .

What I enjoyed is the balance of the light the cinnamon vanilla panacotta dessert

Overall Loved the place - had a really had a great time - Definitely worth visiting again !

Fantastic experience. The waiter Suraj was attentive but not overbearing, making for a very good dining experience. Make sure to seek him out,if visiting.

The food is just right, balanced and tasty. The cauliflower was surprisingly bursting with flavour.

Would recommend to anyone visiting Mumbai. Only request would be to turn up the air conditioning a smidge more.

266 wine bar – I consider this to be boutique fine dining place set out in busy lanes of bandra. It has sharp décor, amazing music play list, great food and drinks and lastly impeccable service.

In drinks I tried their inhouse signature cocktail Whiskey desire (Rating 4/5) and Indian based Vallonne Vineyards white wine Riesling (Rating 4/5). Where Whiskey desire turned out to be slightly overly sweet due to peach (I tried asking for making it balanced) the wine was spot on. Indian wines have grown over the years and its only a matter of time one starts accepting it and trying them.

In foods we tried Shakshuka (Rating 5/5) and this Mediterranean breakfast was done almost right where the poached egg was slightly over cooked however the tomato sauce was well done with other ingredients, Grilled Chicken on Garlic Bread (Rating 5/5) was a delightful finger food appetizer to order as the combination a simple grilled chicken, chopped tomatoes and fresh mozzarella topped with it and it was accompanied with wafer thin sweet potato chips and mint chutney, Chicken Morsels (Rating 5/5) were well done chicken thigh pieces braised in thyme and their secret rub, Grilled Prawns (Rating 4/5) looked absolutely star on arrival but however I felt they were somewhat dry and I somehow wished it had some more glaze of the flavor as it felt too bland even after dashing lime over the prawns however the greens accompanied with it were balancing it and Grilled Chicken breast (Rating 5/5) was star main out there and I just loved how the mushroom pepper gravy was so creamily spread over extremely succulent chicken breast and accompanied with one of the most smoothest mash potatoes.

Finally for desserts I tried their Chocolate mousse (Rating 5/5) and bouy if you are a dark chocolate fan then you must order this. Loved the silky texture of this dark mousse with crumbles sprinkled over top of it making it a must order out there.

Overall it’s a amazing place to spend cosy time with your beloved ones. I rate this place 5.

We had a reservation for 7. We had come to the place for jazz music which starts at 9. We sat outside and the waiter told us that we will be shifted inside at 8 as the inside section starts at 8. We were shifted inside at 8. Suddenly this cool dude wannabe manager comes and tells us around 8.15 that we have to vacate by 9. What the fuck? Why did the waiter not tell us that reservation is for only two hours?? Why did he say that we can enjoy the music inside. When we called the waiter and confronted he said sorry. But our evening was spoiled already. The food of this place is very average. We ordered a garlic mushroom which was very average. Wines r good. We had peach sangria. It's recommended that u taste the sangria before drinking. Some of the sangria's are pathetic. All in all make sure that ur reservation is more than 2 hours. Now a days who goes to a place for two hours??? Wannabe manager should be thrown out of this place. Waiters were still better.

I visited 266 - The Wine Room and Bar on a Saturday evening for dinner. Located at Linking Road, 266 Wine Room and Bar is a fine-dine restaurant with a USP of....you guessed it, wine!

With an extensive collection of various wines, a fully stocked bar, and some innovative wine cocktails, they have a lot to offer as compared to your regular bars. They also have some amazing offers like unlimited house wine and sangria's at INR 350 from Monday to Thursday.

If you're not much of a wine fan, their carefully curated food menu offers some exquisite food with 1+1 on food if you're a Zomato Gold member.

Overall my visit at 266 was extremely pleasurable. I visited on a Saturday evening for an early dinner. They had a candle-lit dinner night where no lights were used and the entire place was decorated with candles. We started off with Chicken on Toast, the 266 cheese board and the Chicken Poutine.

The Poutine was absolutely amazing and is a must have. The quantity was great too, with a bed of crispy french fries, cheese, chicken mince, sauces and sour cream, it was perfect! (I opted out of bacon).

In mains, I relished a Spaghetti Aglio Olio with prawns which was prepared very well. We also tried the "Chicken two ways" which was tender roasted chicken with mash, crisp veggies, and stuffed chicken sausage.

The presentation of these dishes was impeccable and the quality was top notch.

Moving on to the beverages we had some innovative wine cocktails which I absolutely loved.

Try the Star Gazer, the Blue Molu, the Strawberry Sangria and the Sanfran Sangaree, All of these were really good, and had distinct flavors.

With offers on food, beverages, and a chic romantic ambiance, 266 Wine room offers you anything you'd need for various occasions. From date night, to a social gathering with friends, it's definitely a great choice!

Verdict
Food - 5/5
Drinks 5/5
Ambiance 5/5
Service 4/5
VFM 4/5.

266 - The wine room has been amongst the places i wanted to visit for sometime and i got an opportunity recently when i decided to drop by bandra for some work. The place has loveliest of decors for an ideal date situation with a private party type setup available separately which can be booked up in advance. The place serves range of wines and wine cocktail which is the biggest difference as compared to similar setups else where. Mr Rahul helped us with out choice of wine and food in a way it complements each other and in the end it turned out to be an amazing experience.

Argento AG 47 chardonnay - MY friend decided to go with the wines and i decided on with few mocktails. AG 47 embodies unique spirit and passion of Argentina. This fruity and refreshing Chardonnay offers enticing aromas of tropical Pineapple and lime citrus. Concentrated flavours of honeydew melon and passion fruit are complemented by subtle minerality leading into a fresh, crisp finish. Pair wonderfully well with Mediterranean sea food which my friend decided to order.

Grapple & Mock meat on toast :- Stronger in flavour yet light and smooth in taste, this concoction was a perfect combination with mock meat on toast which had spicy soy crumb & mozarella combination. The tasty toast and flavourful grapes were just a complement to each other. Not very heavy on stomach thought. Copious as compared to other preparations.

Patatas bravas : Another appetizer to complement the grapple with some baby potatoes in place of the usual sliced potatoes. This preparation is native to spain and is usually served with spicy tomato sauce. The sauce was perfect with the taste though the potatoes needs a bit more of boiling and proper marination.

Gnochhi Gorgonzola with Guava mary :- Another typical european preparation except for the fact that instead of any imported cheese (in most case parmesan cheese is used ) Blue cheese was use for preparing the Gnochhi. Gnocchi are various thick, small, and soft dough dumplings that may be made from semolina, ordinary wheat flour, cheese, potato, breadcrumbs, cornmeal, or similar ingredients. The cooking was proper but blue cheese is not something that is loved by everyone. On the other side the spicy guava was an amazing combo for this cheesy mains preparation and complemented it very well. Classical mocktail.

Dark chocolate & Olive oil mousse :- The real challenge for this dessert is the controlled flavour of dark chocolate mixing rightly with other components. Too much of dark chocolate and it wont be to my liking, too less and it would be the regular mousse. That test was passed with flying colours. The texture was again brilliant with pinch of himalayan salt adding to the flavour. Quite different and loved it. Recommended

Ambiance 5/5 Perfect for a date

Service 5/5

Food 4.5/5

266 - The wine room and bar is perfect place for wine lovers. This place offers perfect setup for a romantic date. Our host was unwearied and courteous to help us.

Appetizers:
Butter Garlic Prawns- can't go wrong with it. Simple yet perfectly made.
Mock meat- One of the surprises of the evening. Being non vegetarian, couldn't believe veg preparation can come close to non veg in taste and texture. Kudos to chef.
Patata Braves- Not a traditional receipe, but none the less well balanced and great to nibble on.
(Wanted to try crab cakes but was unavailable)

Drinks:
AG 47 Chardonnay - As per host's recommendation we ordered this white wine. Pairs wonderfully well with butter garlic prawns. Wine being fruity and refreshing with aromas of tropical pineapple and lime citrus cut well with the strong garlicky prawns. Thumbs up for recommendations.
Other mocktails we ordered were grapple, chic magnet and guava marry.

Mains:
Gnocchi - soft Gnocchi with dominant blue cheese flavors tasted perfect.

Desserts:
Dark Chocolate & olive oil mouse - Must try for chocolate lovers.
Panna cotta - soft fluffy with caramelized apples, nice way to end your experience at 266.
