This place is very old and has been renovated nearly 10 years ago. I remember eating chicken masala as a child and now that I am in my 20s I still crave for it. It has that lovely green grave with chicken and half egg. It’s amazing to eat it with roti.
How many of y'all have tasted this hefty juicy Murg Musalam😍🤤♥️
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
🍽 @cafemetrony
🍗. Murg Musalam 💸 900 RS full (worth every bite) ( Quantity is extra large.... I repeat please do order full when you are 4 people to feast on!!😋 )
🏨 The ambience is pretty shady like one of those Irani restaurants you could imagine
Foodflix - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you haven't tried this authentic Chicken Tandoori dipped in a bowl full Chicken mince have you actually been to a proper Irani restaurant?🤔 Every bite is so slabbery and tasty🤤 yet I must say it's a lil oily and greasy but then that's the point of having food in an Irani restaurant I was in love with the quantity as we were 3 of us and it is a complete value for money 🤑
So next time you plan to have something unhealthy and tasty South Bombay side.... Don't forget to drop in at Cafe Metro ♥️ #chickenwings #foodporn # #tandoorichicken #murgmusalam #burgers #mince #bhfyp
Tried this fruit salad with ice-cream .A mixture of sweet and sour fruit salad served with mix fruits and chilled ice cream on top with cherry 🍒which was yummy
It's one of the oldest places located next to metro theatre. I have been visiting there since childhood. They have authentic Mughali crusine. They also display there today's special menu. It's one of the restaurant which serve Patti samosa. There falooda and fruit salad with ice cream is also great. It's busy most of the times.
I have literally tried more than 60 percentage of there menu.
Located near the iconic Metro Cinema in Marine Lines, we decided to try this place out before catching an early morning movie. The seating is comfortable and the service was very quick. Staff is decent as well.
The regular South Indian breakfast items are not present in their menu hence we had to go with an Egg Bhurji. This is definitely not a place for Vegetarians as veg food options are next to none here. But, at the same time it seems like a Non Vegetarians delight. The number of options to pick from their menu for any Non Veg food lover is really mind blowing. If that is not enough, they have specials put up which seemed very intriguing..😋
Egg Bhurji was the right amount of spicy and had loads of flavour. The pav that came along with it was very soft. All in all our early morning food cravings were satisfied..🤤

visited Cafe metro on this weekend and tried brownie and chicken crispy, which was too delicious. i didnot expect this, but it amazed me with its dessert and starter.
the ambience was good but could be better, otherwise the edibles were good and quite loved it.
Located just next to metro inox cinema , cafe metro is one of the oldest mughlai restaurants in the area. Their starters are superb and their khepsa is a favourite. Try their signature desert called "Metro ki shaan" . The chicken arabian toast is an innovative dish...a must try according to me. The regular gravy dishes are average but the deserts are awesome. The service is prompt and courteous and the ambience is peaceful. They have both ac and non ac sections. Overal we rate them 3.5/5. ✍😇
We recommemd chicken lasoni, chicken teriyaki and chicken arabian toast. ...with either butter naan or rumali roti. Sizzling brownie is quite nice also
The food is tasty, has almost all things on the menu, Chinese, mughlai, ice creams (mostly all have nuts or rose petals) falooda. Quantity is also not too bad if you are a moderate eater. All in all a good place to tank up. I had ordered barbeque chicken, butter naan and briyani which was delicious.
Every dish has its own irani taste, it was amazing to have dinner at that place ,
The black current flavour falooda was at next level would recommend you this place where you can enjoy the breakfast, lunch, dinner with family and friends👌
I ordered royal faluda icecreame..which was yummy
.tasty..it was different..cafe is neat and clean..not very posh
.good for non veg..veg items are limited
Still
I loved faluda..
The best place for kheema, using green masala gives it the unique taste like no one else. Must try and end up with tea to be fully satisfied
80s ambience and seatings. Food has great taste. Schezwan fried rice doesn’t use food colouring unlike other restaurants as it is harmfull as quoted by the chef. Amazing service! Cheap for the pockets as well! Overall a pocket saver and stomach filler restaurant! If you are planning to visit a local restaurant this one is a thumbs up!

Cafe Metro is a definitely the best place to town to stop by for a keema pao plate. It has the best keema pao served in green masala that stands out from all the other Irani cafes in town.
Running low on budget? Hungry much? Get here and Try their Chinese or chicken starters. It’s all under budget and offers a good quantity for two.
Very reasonable place, though it is not very spacious but amazing food, al baik chicken with a dip and chicken crispy are the best and the quantity is also enough for two people
When we talk about food then we cant skip the old ans gold name cafe metro, this is one of the best restaurant available in the heart of the city. The food is excellent, taste is amazing, delicious muaah. Staff is little slow but due to the taste of the food that deficiency can be ignored.

A basic restaurant which serves good quality good and gives fast service. One of the best mughlai restaurants under affordable budget. Not expensive and good taste. Good and straightforward staff.
The place was really very very good.. the food was tasty.. i had ordered Butter chicken and veg fried rice.. quantity and quality both was good.. overall it was great..!!
Great place to eat. Not a lavishing place. If you are looking for luxury then this place is definitely not for you but if you seek good food then Oh yeah! You are gonna love it.
Do checkout Chicken Biryani and Tikka Biryani. Even veg food is pretty good (Nope, I didn't made the sin of ordering veg food, it was my cousin 😂)
Cannot wait to visit again!
Food is too awesome... Mostly nonveg...
Even veg is good but as i luv nonveg n for nonveg food i prefer this restaurant... Servicing is too fast..
Even home delivery is fast...
Best place for family time... Really food is too delicious .. Everyone should try dis restaurants food atleast once 😄
If I am in Mumbai at 10 am... The green kheema pav is a must.. I need 2 plates myself!
No one in Mumbai makes it like them!!!
Having it since 2008 and it still tastes the same...
Yes go early as all over by 11 am
Just YUM!
Been here thrice.!!
This is a Value for money Joint with not so attractive Dining experience but decent and tasty food which is not bad for quick bites.
Tried a few dishes like Murg Masallam (This is extra spicy), Tandoori Chicken (Not spicy at all), Pahadi Kabab, Chicken Hundi, Chicken Biryani, Mutton Metro Special.

Note: If you want your food to be spicy please tell them in advance. Otherwise it will be plain!!
So we had Fish tikka and Chicken Tikka biryani. Both of them were wonderful. We finished it with Hot sizzling chocolate brownie. The fish tikka was amazingly done and it tasted something like I have never had before. The biryani was so flavourful and it was the right amount of spice. It was a different experience in itself. The brownie was tasty too.
Food was good we ordered a butter chicken and butter naan.. and enjoyed the meal
But service from them was not up to the mark as one has to wait for them to come and take the order u need to find a waiter as they are never around.
Anyway 4 stars for the good food do go and try it👌.
Good restaurant for non- vegetarians. Love their chicken lollipops and chicken Tikka biryani. Quality n quantity 👍 quick n prompt in home delivery.
I love this place its complete value for money
2 plate kheema pav with half fry egg & 2 paani kum chaai just for 400 Rs
Paani Kum chai- Hot refreshing milky and tasty
Kheema Pav - Must try spicy and hot served with 4 slices of bread and if you want you can ask for alti palti ie half fried egg fried both sides or plain. Their kheema pav is getting better than Olympia. Olympia standard is gone down its just more of oil.
The A/c section was very good but the section below was horrible.. floors were dirty.. was smelling... The food and service atleast in the A/c section was good.. I dnt knw about the below one...
These restarun is a family restaurant and serve good things and their service is also very good and the price is resnable there are some special dishes of there restaurant which are very good
A simple restaurant but excellent taste and pretty good service. However would appreciate if the improve ambience and appearance. Good place to visit

Over all very good experience I'll really visit again ....
Ever tried a butter roti that butter literally drips from. Butter chicken with a slightly spicy Mughlai taste, Chicken Tikka which is one of the best in town. I’m probably exaggerating but when you see the prices on the menu and compare the quality and quantity of food that you’ll be served at the Cafe Metro you will agree. No wonder why this cafe which is right next to Metro Inox is always full of people. Non AC seating downstairs and AC upstairs, quick service, decent for the rates, awesome desserts (classic ones like sizzling brownies and caramel custard) their own brand of ice cream (I think, because I never heard of the ice cream brand otherwise) fresh fruit juices, this cafe has it all and you wouldn’t even regret paying for it.
It is a good place for pocket friendly parties with your college buddies. It offers a variety of dishes in the vegetarian as well as non vegetarian types and shakes. Must try : Butter chicken, Tangdi chicken, Brownie.
Food - 3.5/5 Staff - 3.5/5 Ambience 3.5/5 Value for money - 3.5/5
The food is good in quality, little less in quantity for two (Probably we were way too hungry). Prices are pretty reasonable. Food is delish. We had butter chicken and chicken lajawab, both were good, with tender boneless chicken pieces. Parathas and chapati are bigger than usual and that makes it very reasonable to dine in at such a busy street of Marine lines.
PS. Didn't click any pictures because too busy to hog.
An excellent place to have non veg food specially the bheja fry and chicken...very delicious food and the place is always crowded .....the quantity of food is very filling and the food is very flavourful...if you are a non vegetarian and wanna try bheja fry definitely visit this place it is so worth it ....the caramel custard is always very good....the restaurant is just next to metro cinema ... the cost is very apt for such tasty food...the only drawback is that they do not accept cards (the atm is just behind the metro cinema... so you don't have to go too far )..... an excellent experience.....not a lavish hotel but a worth visiting for its food😋😋😋
Had been here for dinner on last Saturday with friends....!!!
I Wasn't expecting such a good taste but believe me the food was very tasty....!!!
I will definitely recommend this place to others. And very much pocket friendly as well....!!!
We had Kadhai Chicken and Tandoori Chicken Masala, their gravies were awesome, along with that we had Naan and Rotis..
Would love to visit again to try something different...
0.5 less just because they didn't accept cards.!!
All food r good .....specially chicken tandoori
U can try ...no artificial colour...can order
Chicken tikka also nice
Try Kepsa ...comes in good quantity
Quality good 7/10
Quantity good 6/10
Service ok 5/10
Taste good 6/10
Nice place to have Indian food at Marine lines, beside Metro cinema, in Mumbai at reasonable price. One may need to wait few minutes to get a table, mainly during weekends. We tried broast chicken which is very much like boneless chicken fry at KFC. It comes in eight pieces and worth trying for. Veg crispy was also okay as starter. For the main course, we went with chicken tawa fry and veg jaipuri. Chicken was moderately good with small pieces in dense spicy gravy. But the veg dish was a disappointment, it looked attractive but was not that testy. You can have good butter chapati to enjoy the main dish with. It is also recommended to go early enough to have their signature dish Keema fry which we missed.

A pocket-friendly joint in Marine Lines which is our favourite on days when we just wanna order in!
Cafe Metro is known for its delicious Chicken items and we have tried out many.
Butter chicken and naan: Every non-vegetarian's go-to dish when we don't wanna experiment. Cannot go wrong with this one!
Chicken Biryani: Quite nice quantity given the price. Tasted great.
Chicken 65: It is a dry starter item with lots of chillies. A variation of chicken chilli. Tasted good.
Chicken Tikka Masala: This dish is my absolute favourite from here! Just order it with jeera rice and you won't regret it. I promise.
Prices are quite economical and delivery is prompt. Value for money!
Ihv visited this place thrice ..chicken crispy 210rs and barbeque ..chicken tandoori was my favourite ..clean place..but staff is not so comfortable ..stare at you like 8th wonder ..they r seeing

I visited this Restaurant Again But this time I choose to Have only The Main Course with Tandoori Roti.
I and An Acquaintance of mine have a Bulky Appetite so we Opted for Murg Mussallam (Full)
We were Very Happy when the Waiter Came out with the dish, It looked Hearty (Bahut Zyada)
We looked at each other with Questions if we could Finish It.
It took us 1/2 Hour and 3 Tandoori Butter Roti's to Finish it Alas.
Rating
Murg Mussallam - 4/5
Butter Roti - 4.5/5
One of the best Mutton Khichda ever available in Mumbai. I kid you not. It's so good that you will thank me for recommending the place. It's available only on Saturdays though. I tried the Chicken Masala Fry which is good VFM and their Chicken Lasuni is very good also. The Tandoori rotis could have been better. Overall a gem esp for the Khichda.
Best food great quality and quantity value for money love to visit again we went for a dinner at this place we had chicken lassuni which was suggested by the staff that was good and we had chinese that was also up to mark and then we had metro ki shaan which was just awesome i would love to go again to have metro ki shaan best desert ever had Thank you Cafe Metro.
Place is ok, food is very oily and loaded with ready tomato spice red gravy for almost everything. Tried chicken lasooni was loaded with spicy gravy though chicken quality was ok, fish biryani is good, chapati and special chapatis are nice.
Visited cafe metro for a family dinner. The place is a haven for mughlai and chinese.
The portions were good, more than usual restaurants.
What we ordered:
Tangdi kabab (3.5/4)
Crispy chicken (4/5)
Sweet, spicy, crispy. The perfect kind of mumbaiya chinese.
@
Chicken shanghai sauce (3/5)
Chicken lassuni (5/5)
It was recommended to us by the waiter and was literally the best in taste. Must have.
Tandoori roti (4/5)
Triple schezwan rice (4/5)
Before even tasting it, u will fall in love wit the large portion. Comes with a bowl of gravy.
Hot brownie (3/5)
Its a basic restaurant ambience wise, but the food is really good. Service is prompt and the wa@iters are polite. Im gonna give it a 4.5 all for the food.
This place is next to metro cinemas so you will often find it crowded.. The food is decent. You can try prawn / mix fried rice and any of the chicken starters. Their desserts are quite good.
Food 4/5
This place serves very Good Chicken Tikka Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Caramel Custard and Chicken Leg Tikka.
Ambience is decent 3/5
Pricing is very reasonable 4/5.

Tummy Overloaded..!!!
We three friends had gone to this place. It wasn't a bad decision. The ambience was okayish. The food and service compensated though.
We ordered Chicken Banjara, Chicken Lollypop & Fish Tikka as starters. Loved their all three.
Then ordered Butter Chicken & Roomali Roti. Butter chicken was awesome. Worth eating.
The only issue i faced was this place does not accept cards. A place worth visiting.

This place should be a hidden gem for sure. Small compact restaurant and always buzzing with customers. Good tasty fresh food at affordable prices. Decent interiors and nice ambience. I would recommend people to sit upstairs. Its relatively quiet there. Service is unbelievably fast. Quantity as well as quality is indeed impressive. Only downside are the people working there who are very very unprofessional.
Nice, clean and humble place. The staff were courteous.
Achari tikka were good...sweet nd spicy but boneless chicken would've been much better.
Had sweetcorn soup for kids...too much sweet
Murg mussalam quantity was enough for 5 people and taste was quite good
Only roomali roti nd butter naan were eatable...rest as of tandoori roti nd even butter roti were not.. biting and swallowing were a task.
Cafe metro is the popular place and very old place which offers good and tasty food at affordable price..Some of my favorite dishes here are Murg Mussallam Chicken Begum Bahar, Salli Botti and Tandoori Rotis..The seating is AC and NonAC plus decent and helpful staff
Nice, cheap, humble eatery. Had the Russian kebabs, which albeit a little too cheesy but were quite filling and not as greasy as I would have thought.
Next had called for the chicken makhani rolls which tasted more achaari than makhani..but still pretty high up on taste.
Nice small place where you will get food worth every penny spent. Big on quantity and quality as well. Some shakes also to light up your sweet buds. Good for a quality time
Experience was OK.. From ambience to staff.. Can be opted for dinner with family n friends.
Food (non-veg) tastes good for the price it is offered.. Food is reasonable..

a legendary place for great Non-veg food in South Mumbai & if your into some spicy Non-veg food , this is the place to go. My favourite are the kebabs from this joint !
Service was good but the chicken biryani I ordered was not that good . I have to compromise on eating because the chicken seems just boiled and added some gravy without properly cooking it . Tha veg item was good . But highly disappointed on chicken biryani.
It's a decent place. The food is good , the service is fast. It has the usual mogulai food. Taste is fine. I went on a public holiday so was not very busy.
Best tandoori chicken biryani, tandoori chicken masala, russian kabab, mutton seekh kabab masala, served here. Today we had chicken cutlets and mutton keema both were nice but keema is ok
A very economic, pocket friendly resturant with a variety of choices of food items from Chinese to moghlai, from delicious desert to snacks, bergers etc. The food items are upto the mark and very delicious. The normal waiting time for food is also considerably small .
Good food. Chicken Mumtaz and Chicken Crispy and butter garlic naan are worth a try.
You should definitely tryout their chicken Lolipop and butter chicken. We absolutely love the crispyness of the chicken Lolipop over here. With a perfect spicy chutney. Also they are famous for their Chicken tandoori and pudding in dessert. We would highly recommend this place to all.
Great place to eat. Not a lavishing place. If you are looking for luxury then this place is definitely not for you but if you seek good food then Oh yeah! You are gonna love it.

Nice decent place to rest and get some good food to refresh you. They have a separate place for ladies and family which is air conditioned, so you can really relax from the heat outside. The food was quite good, staff helpful and the place was clean.
Mouth-watering and heart-filling Kepsa!! We ordered a mini Chciken Tikka Kepsa, enough for two. Although it took a while to be served, we could not get over how delicious it was! The quantity and the quality is worth the price they charge!
Liked the taste. Just next to Metro theater in south Bombay. Biryani is very tasty, served with much needed raita. Try chicken afghani starter, it beats KFC fried chicken. Not exhaggerating. Biryani is not that expensive. 150 per person. Serves best to one.
Tried this fruit salad with ice-cream .A mixture of sweet and sour fruit salad served with mix fruits and chilled ice cream on top with cherry 🍒which was yummy, also it's best for the nonveg dishes.
The food and the Ambience is overall good
We were seated upstairs and there were curtains,
When I was about to open the curtains, the waiter came and told us not to open the curtains
Then what was the use of curtains? 😂
Everytime I visit this place just makes me feel when will be the next time I come here. If you are a non veg craver or foodie, this is a must visit.. varities, yummy food. Kebabs and main course are their forte. Moreover They follow covid protocols too.. last but not the least, don't forget to try their metro ki shaan dessert.. just mouth watering.. other options sizzler brownie and chocolate sundae.. both adults and children wil love it..
Try the chicken Tikka biryani and the ginger prawns, you'll not be disappointed. Also the rabdi is amazing and not too sweet for people who don't have a sweet tooth.
Cafe metro, a well located restaurant, did deliver good taste to the dishes they served. Service was prompt. The prawns in the fried rice however lacked the taste, although the serving was well cooked.
