Oh ho once upon a time in Delhi Darbar. Dining was such a pleasure. Why did they compromise on quality in the lock down. . Please don't keep people on phone who are rude. We understand there's a lot of work but when I ordered thru Zomato n visited the restaurant your staff was not bzzy. Just hopping around. Maintain food quality n your image. No compromise.

Delhi Darbar is a place where you will always see a long waiting queue. It is well deserved as this place is one of the best offerers of the Mughlai Cuisine. Famous for its different varieties of Biryani, the reputation was upheld by the dishes we ate. The ambience was great but the tables could've been a bit more spacious as it feels a bit crowded. The service was good. Overall it is a good place to try Biryani.

I haven't tried a lot of things, though I usually used to order boneless butter chicken & khamiri roti from here & both of the things tasted quite good.Just few days back, It happened for me to order food from here Delhi Darbar. We had mutton burra, mutton mughlai and qeema naan.... To be honest, that was one of the best food experience I had till date. We ordered mutton dishes since we thought that they would cook mutton better than anyone else. And we were not wrong. Mutton burra was awesome, it was nicely cooked, juicy with perfect blend of masala throughout the entire piece. Mutton mughlai was equally good which had some sweet taste mixed in perfect proportion that makes you to feel to have some more...

Whenever I go to Colaba, I make it a point to try something new. My recent visit took me to Delhi Darbar. This restaurant started in 1946 and is one of the most sought after restaurants for Mughlai cuisine. It is a legacy of Mansuri family and currently run by Chef Atif. They have branches in UAE as well.

Delhi Darbar is located at Holland House near Leopold Cafe. The facade is painted in red, thereby giving it a unique appearance. It was a weekday and hence the place was not much crowded. We were super hungry by the time we were seated at around 2.30 pm. We were a group of 5 people.

We ordered Chicken soup which was delicious. It was perfectly thick and creamy with small chunks of chicken. For starters, we ordered non veg barbeque platter. It had about 10 pieces of Mutton and Chicken Kebabs in different varieties. There was Malai Tikka, Hariyali Kebab, Seekh Kebab, Achari Kebab. The kebabs were marinated very well with rich flavors and cooked to perfection. We could not stop ourselves from ordering another platter.

We decided to stick to the basics throughout the meal. For main course, we ordered Chicken Biryani & Mutton Biryani. Both the Biryanis were great. The portion size and meat pieces were very good for the price. Meat was very well cooked and coated with the gravy. It blended nicely with the basmati rice. Only sad part was that raita had to be purchased separately. We were already half way through the meal when we realized that Raita was missing and thought to let it go.

Overall, superb food and a great ambience. It is a sort of restaurant that can never go wrong with the taste of their food.

Service was quick. Best part about the entire experience according to me was that I had one of the best food at a pocket friendly price.

Will definitely visit again.

We finished our meal with paan available outside the restaurant.

This place is iconic and obviously.."littttt"🔥 and added up in my favourite list.
Delhi darbar is known for its mughlai food and yes offcourse biryani. They're tagline says and yes To b honest they serve the best biryani in Mumbai ❤️
I ordered:
Prawns biryani: the moment they started serving it made me drool. I was like wowwww ! It was beyond perfection. Every bite was mesmerising.. it satisfied me more than I had expected.
Caramel custard : It was amazing... Satisfied my sweet tooth
Firni : this is something il highly recommend anyone as a desert here...the taste is just unforgettable!

Hospitality - their service was quick.. the staff was courteous, alert, joyful...

More about the place: it was crowded. And there's usually a queue... But it's worth the wait.
The ambience is too beautiful.. gives a royal feeling.
The place is upto the mark... Be it food, service, ambience or anything I've missed out here in the review is just perfect.

A favourite with foreigners visiting Colaba, Delhi Darbar offers authentic Moghlai and North Indian cuisine. It is not uncommon to find a queue of people waiting outside the restaurant for a table. The ground floor has more comfortable seating compared to the first floor which is congested. I had taken my Spanish friends for lunch and most of them loved the food. They wanted to try the chicken samosa, which is served 3 pieces per plate. It was crispy and tasted great. We ordered Paneer Makhanwala, Daal Makhani and Butter Chicken for the main course, and to be had with Garlic Naan and Kulcha. Butter Chicken was outstanding, so was the Daal. The service is quick and efficient.

Recently I visited this place and ordered the following :-
•Veg kadhai 4/5
One of the best vegetarian options to try out. The medium spicy delicacy will compliment both Rice as well as rotis. With veggies perfect fused and mashed and garnished with perfection, it waters the mouth like nothing else.

•Murg musallam 4.5/5
One of the best Murg musallam you can have in Mumbai in the typical mughlai style, the quantity is just right and can server upto 3-4 people with ease.

•Tandoori roti 4/5
If you're health conscious try replacing Naan with the age old Tandoori Roti and you're good to go. The best thing about them is that it remains soft inspite of being in the open and retain it's taste throughout the course of the meal.

•Romali roti 4/5
Another light option and alternative to the Roti. I had the primarily with the Veg Kadhai and boy it complimented it very well! It's soft and smooth! Grab some!
Jolly and cheerful staff, prime location and easily accessible, Hop in with friends and family to have a pleasant lunch or a great dinner!

Had a great time with my friends at this family restaurant. Running since 1973,this place definitely is iconic and 'lit' in terms of food and service as well as decor. The vibe is completely of a family restaurant, the servers are very friendly and happy to serve. I got great recommendations from my server Muneer. He was so jolly, it really made our meal a memorable one. Here's what all I tried :

Drinks :
1. Chocolate Shake with vanilla Icecream (5/5)- Brought back childhood memories when I'd go with my parents and order this at restaurants, simple yet delicious.
2. Favourite Mojito (5/5) - superb! Refreshing and delightful. I loved it.
3. Lemonade (4/5)- Decent. Good.

Starters :
1. Paneer Chilly (5/5) - I was sooooo surprised that this was SO GOOD. It was so soft, great in quantity and great in taste. Highly recommended.
2. Hara Bhara Kebab (5/5)-DO Ask for the schezwan Chutney along with this, the flavourd will amplify. I love this combo but no one makes it like them.

Mains :
1. Paneer Tikka masala (5/5)-Their preparation is different from the usual but sooooo good! The masala they use for Tandoor is amazing. Do try it out. Goes best along with cheese Garlic naan or garlic naan.
2. Pot Rice (4.5/5) - REALLY heavy portion and enough for 3-4 people easily. Amazing desi Chinese, enough of veggies, well cooked. Try this if you're a vegetarian, I prefer it over the biryani here.

Dessert :
1. Darbar Special Falooda (4.5/5) - Good in taste, was enough for 3 again. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Overall our visit here was very happy and ended on a great note with mukhvaas and even the server serving mukhvaas was so sweet and offered it with a smile. Just giving this place a 5 for their service! Brilliant. This is what keeps restaurants going for years. Special thanks to Captain Jamal.

Delhi Darbar is located on the main Colaba Causway road and the red painted building cannot be missed. Their other other is at Nariman Point which is named DD Express as there the menu is small with selected items.

Delhi Darbar as a brand is more than 60 years old and they are super famous for their Mughlai, North Indian dishes and Biryanis.

The restaurant have ground level and upper section seatings available. The seatings are little cramped up but the overall vibe is amazing as most of the diners here are foreigners and watching them enjoy the food is nice. The ambiance is elegant and they have kept the decor simple.

They specialise in Mughlai, North Indian and they have special section kept for Chinese and Arabic dishes too. The options available are great for both vegetarians and non vegetarians and the menu explains each dish perfectly. Prices are high and the quantity served is decent.

I went here for lunch on a weekday and the place was packed. The kitchen service was excellent and thanks to Staff Umesh who was proactive and attentive and he provided amazing table service.

What We Had -
APPETIZERS~
Chicken Reshmi Kebab -
Coriander, yogurt and green chilies based marination on juicy chicken tasted delicious. The texture was amazing and the marination had perfect flavours.

Tandoori Prawns -
Fresh prawns with light marination of garlic and red chillies presented in an unique way with charcoal tasted perfect. I loved the smoky flavours of the charcoal and the juices in the prawns were intact and they were not chewy as well.

MAINS~
Chicken Kadhai -
Chicken cooked in thick onion, capsicum and tomatoes based brown gravy tasted outstanding. The gravy had right amount of spices and it had nice amount of oil the way I like.

Vegetable Makhanwala -
Too much of frozen peas used and less vegetables still taste wise this was decent. I felt rhe tanginess of the tomatoes in the gravy and the buttery texture was great too.

Chicken Biryani -
Right amount of masala, rice was cooked nicely and the tender chicken made this biryani great. I loved the less use if excess spices or elaichi.

DESSERTS~
Caramel Custard -
Tasty and perfect.

BEVERAGES~
Kala Khatta.
Favourite Mojito.
Electric Lemonade.
All the drinks tasted refreshing and were made nicely.

So the meal at Delhi Darbar was great as I loved the vibe and the food tasted delicious too. Therefore do try this legendary restaurant.

Delhi Darbar is situated on the main road of Colaba Causeway. It's pretty visible from a distance, however, car parking could cause you some trouble. The outlet is spacious and has an upper seating as well. 💫

Here's what we tried:
1) Chicken Samosa- We started off with the chicken samosas served along with mint chutney, and it didn't disappoint us a bit. The samosa was extremely crisp and the minced chicken was cooked to perfection. ✨

2) Tandoori Fish- The fish was well cooked in tandoori spices and was extremely soft. The dish was a little on the spicy side, but tasted great overall. 🍽️

3) Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan- For the main course, we opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala along with Garlic and Butter Naan. The Chicken Tikka tasted lip-smacking and the piping hot Naans left us wanting more. 🍲

4) Chicken Biryani with Dahi Kuchumbar- Next on the classic Chicken Biryani. The biryani was packed with flavours and the Dahi Kuchumbar complimented it perfectly. This was our favorite of the day. 🍛
We also tried the refreshing fresh lime soda, served chilled. 🥤

The staff gives great suggestions and the service is quick. It's not too heavy on the pocket for the quality of food it serves. Head over to Delhi Darbar for the perfect North Indian feast! ⚡

Visited this restaurant a few weeks back and was so glad I did! Delhi Darbar at Colaba, is one of South Mumbai's most iconic restaurants, maintaining premium standards of Mughali cuisine and hospitality for over 60 years now. I tried quite a few things. Some old, popular offerings like their Biryani and special gravies and Naan to some new ones like Dynamite Prawns and their coolers. Overall, it remains one of the most popular restaurants around South Bombay area. My experience was as follows
Food 4/5
Ambience 3/5 could work on a lil bit of privacy, maybe?
Service: 4/5 Courteous staff.

Having heard of this restaurant from so many people especially my in laws thought we should try it out since we were in the area and our lunch was pending. Me and my husband not being such heavy eaters ordered the kali mirch kebab and the chicken tikka biryani. The kebab was moist and the marination was just right. Whereas I felt the biryani could have had some more flavour but over all a good dining experience.

Delhi Darbar has been one of my favorite places to hog on Indian food ever since my college days in Colaba. I have visited this restaurant several times and never had a bad experience. The ambiance is good and the service is quick.

On my last visit U tried out their Tandoori Pomfret and Chicken Reshmi Kebab for starters. The fish was excellent, fresh and packed with flavor, the char from the tandoor does add a nice smokey aftertaste to it. Same with the chicken kebab, tender and flavorful. Worth trying out.

For mains we tried out their Mutton Biryani, and just like the good old days, the flavor was still on point. Absolutely love their biryani, strongly recommended trying it out.

Quite stuffed from the biryani, we went for a light Caramel Custard for dessert. Another dish that was spot on. We even tried their Milkshakes and Mocktails which were nice and refreshing.

Overall, delhi darbar still remains my top pick at Colaba whenever I am in the mood for Indian food.

Delhi darbar

Located in world famous area, colaba area of Mumbai. Can’t have better location for any restaurant.

I have been going to this restaurant from years and certainly every time it gives a pleasure to eat at this iconic restaurant.

Menu has lot many signature dishes of them. I normally prefer to order food in my comfort zone. Food needs to have a check again somehow I felt the taste was not as good as it was before.

Mutton seekh kabab- Mutton seekh served with green chutney and mint. Seekh was really spicy I mean lot of spices used killing the soothing feel of seekh. Would have loved that can taste the meat more than spices. (4/5)

Mutton boti kabab- A perfect kebab to order. Fresh mutton marinated with balanced spices and cooked to the perfection. Melting in the mouth kind of feel it was once I tried it. (5/5)

Butter Chicken – One of my favourite dishes I must say whenever I visited last time. This time the butter chicken I received was not really wow. I was expecting smooth creamy gravy and this gravy was more like tikka masala gravy with lot of spices and strong flavours. (3/5)

Roomali roti- One of my favourite from here but wasn’t wow this time, uncooked in between and little blackish on edges. Honestly didn’t like. (4/5)

Garlic naan- Just perfect the way we would like it. (5/5)

Mutton biryani- Nice long grain rice cooked with balanced flavoured mutton chunks. Was just Perfect. (4.5/5)

Caramel Custard- Must order dish of them, cant get better than this. Loved it. (5/5)

Delhi darbar is one of the iconic places in Mumbai which serves authentic food since 60 years.
.
Visited this place recently. Service is SUPER fast and the staff helps you for your orders.
.
We tried chicken tikka and malai kebab. I like malai kebab more as it was creamy and juicy. Chicken tikka was quite chewy but the taste was good.
.
For mains we had Chicken Nargis and butter chicken. Chicken Nargis is highly recommended. I didn't expected butter chicken to be spicy as they cooked in butter and not in cream. So i quite didn't like this.
.
Their drinks were amazing in taste and refreshing. Do not forget to try electric lemonade.
.

For dessert we had phirni . It was a great way to end our meal .

Delhi Darbar of Colaba is one place we had been longing to visit. They have a good seating area and just about the perfect ambience. The interior and decor is also absolutely splendid. Here's what we had there:

Crystal Chicken

The crisp lettuce acts as a wrapper for the moist chicken, very similar to crispy chicken in taste.

BBQ Platter

A platter which gives you some splendid starters in the form of different tikkas such as Malai and Reshmi, seekh kebabs both chicken and mutton. Some really mouthwatering stuff.

MAIN COURSE

Chicken Bhuna

Boneless chicken pieces smeared in fresh fragrance of ginger, garlic and bhuna masala. Quite edible and tasty.

Butter Chicken

The ever favorite butter chicken, quite rich and mixed spicy. It tastes even better with the assorted breads.

Reshmi Makhni Paratha

Soft like rumali roti but flaky at the same time and with a pinch of butter all over. A delight to have with the gravies on offer.

Cheese Butter Naan

Butter beautifully charred and crisp on the outside of the naan yet soft, chewy with melting cheese inside.

As a part of desserts we were served some refreshing Falooda and Caramel Custard. A fantastic end to a relishing meal.

In Mumbai, when you think Mughlai food, you think Delhi Darbar. And I finally found out why when I paid the iconic Colaba outlet a visit this weekend. This legendary restaurant has been touted to serve carefully curated, authentic and absolutely lip-smacking food for years together and boy it did not disappoint!
Here's what we tried:
Murgh Malai Kebab: Tender, succulent and subtlely spiced, this one is a must try!
Chicken Tikka :
A classic that you can never get enough of, this one hits all the right notes
Murgh Bhuna roll:
Not overly spicy or oily, the rolls at Delhi Darbar are full of robust flavours. I tried the Murgh Bhuna roll and though it wasn't the best I've had, it was pretty darn good!
Butter Chicken:
A standard preparation, this one doesn't exactly stand out.
Mixed Tawa:
This dish is a burst of flavours that sing on your palate! Goes perfectly well with a roomali roti or garlic naan!
Mutton Biryani:
It's blasphemous to pay Delhi Darbar a visit and not try their Biryani. It definitely is one of the better biryanis in the city. Recommended!
Matka firni:
The cool matka firni was the perfect end to a great meal and I couldn't stop at just one!

The service was fast and the staff very polite.
Highly recommended!

The iconic Delhi Darbar in Colaba has been serving lipsmacking food for over 60 years now. I've been here since my childhood and very little has changed to be honest!

We were invited to a review this week and we tasted the following :

Barbecue Platter : An assortment of appetizers. The Barbecue Platter is a must have for people wanting to try variety of kebabs or tandoori tikkas in one plate! Containing both mutton as well as chicken varieties we absolutely loved this one. The mutton seekh kebab was my favourite from the platter that also contained mutton boti, chicken tikka and chicken reshmi ! Totally yum ! :)

Paneer Tikka : Again from their appetizers' menu. This is your usual paneer tikka - chunks of paneer marinated in masala and then cooked to perfection! Heavenly for all the vegetarians out there!

Murgh Nargis : This is a chicken dish from their day specific menu (they have different special dishes available on different days of the week). The Murgh Nargis is a Wednesday special and was recommended by our server. We had high hopes from this one. Unfortunately, this one was an absolute miss for us. It's a chicken dish along with capsicum in it but the balance of flavours was completely missing. You couldn't taste the chicken after a point, the capsicum overpowered the entire dish. The cashew nut gravy didn't help either. We do not recommend this dish. If you're looking for a good main course chicken dish please try their butter chicken or chicken tikka masala. I swear by both these dishes here! :)

Chicken Dum Biryani : Served with chicken pieces with the bone intact this biryani was extremely rich and very high on the ghee part! Fragrant rice grains cooked to perfection along with luscious chicken pieces. Try this with their raita and it's a meal in itself! Do ask them to make a spicy raita as opposed to the sweet one they usually serve! :)

Ras Malai : Again a miss for us. The Ras Malai was served with terribly diluted milk. It wasn't as sweet as it should have been. Overall just not something you should try here.

Punjabi Kulfi : Your good old Kulfi served with boiled Sevaiyan (noodles) and rose syrup. We highly recommend this as it was a wholesome dessert especially the rose syrup added the extra punch needed! We loved this one. :)

Coming to the bread accompaniments we tried the Roomali Roti, Naan and Cheese Garlic Naan. The former two were pretty good but the cheese garlic naan was an absolute let down (or maybe I'm used to not having a cheese spread on my naan!). You couldn't taste the garlic on the naan, additionally cheese garlic naan in no other place is served with a cheese spread on it like a butter spread. We don't recommend you order this particular bread here. Their normal naans are better, please prefer those over their cheese garlic naan.

We also tried the following beverages :

Mojito : A perfect summer drink. Pretty refreshing. Delhi darbar isn't a mocktails place so don't expect an authentic mojito. It's an average mojito but a pretty good drink if you don't judge it by sheer mojito standards. :)

Lemonade : Highly recommend. Was the best beverage I tasted here. :)

Kalakhatta : You'd like this one if you're a kalakhatta fan. :)

We had a fairly good experience overall. The staff is courteous and the service is very quick. Their washrooms are well kept and clean. The place does tend to get a little crowded owing to it being so famous along with the cramped up furniture setting , but it's also warm and perfect for family meals.

A childhood favourite Delhi Darbar is the place you go to for family friendly meals made with love, warmth and mughlai cuisine expertise. :)

PS : Be mindful of their price variation. The prices on their Zomato listed menu are lower than on their actual restaurant menu.

Delhi Darbar, one of the iconic places functioning from the past 7 decades is a landmark in itself. This fine-dining restaurant serves Mughlai food in a two-storey seating and you’ll be surprised with their quick food service.

Here is what we tried.

Tandoori Chicken: The tender chicken was tandoored perfectly and served with mint chutney. Although we wish that they had served the pudina chutney as it would have been a better addition to the chicken.

Malai Chicken: Here the tandoored chicken was delicious and bit tough for a Malai Chicken, but all in all, a good choice to opt for if you don’t want a spicy kebab!

In mains, we tried the Bheja Tawa Fry which was well cooked with spices and flavors. You can pair it up with butter Naan and it will be epic.

Butter Chicken: No wonder this is their award winning dish. The butter chicken here is just amazing and flavorful and you must try it no matter what.

Mutton Biryani: We tried the Biryani here and it had quite a lemony taste. We found it decent enough. But on average, you will find this biryani on almost every table.

Caramel Custard: We ended our meal on a sweet note with the Caramel Custard. This was the highlight of the evening for us. It’s just so perfect with the burnt flavors and the perfect sweetening. We highly recommend that you try it.

In mock-tails, we tried their version of the Mojito and Jeera Masala. The mojito was only decent & the Jeera masala was a regular jeera powder based drink topped with fried boondi.

Overall, Delhi Darbar is a good option to opt for when you want to satisfy your hunger pangs with quick service and amazing main course options.

Visited Delhi Darbar after ages and it brought back so many childhood memories.

We would have Family dinners here whenever we were at the Gateway of India.

The taste has definitely changed over the years but it still maintains the same quality and level of service.

We tried BBQ kebab platter consisting of Chicken Tikka, Malai and Pahadi kebabs and Seekh Kebabs. Seekh Kebabs were pretty average and lacked the flavors.

Tangdi Kebab was delicious.

For Mains we called for Mutton Biryani: they serve one of the best biryanis in Mumbai.

Tandoori Fish Masala, Pomfret cooked in tandoor style and served on a bed of sweet and spicy masala. Loved it.

Chicken Patyala was good and made for a simple gravy to pair with garlic naan.

For dessert, the staple caramel Custard made its way to our table.
It was creamy and just the right amount of wiggly. Loved it!

The legacy of serving delicious Mughlai and Indian food since decades have been carried out brilliantly by DELHI Darbar. One of their oldest place proudly situated at Colaba is visited atleast once by all entering Mumbai as a tourist or as a residence here!
The place is huge, comfortable, airy and pleasant for all kinds of crowds. Service stays intact even after so much traffic and the staff is upto their heels to serve you best!
For food, I tried:
Kebab platter - (Recommended) a versatile kebab platter consisting of murgh malai, Zafrani, mutton and chicken seekh and chicken tikka! All these were totally upto the mark! The chicken was tender, perfectly spiced and extremely yummy!
MUMTAZ badami korma -(Recommended) An exotic Mughlai gravy, neither too sweet nor too spicy with soft pieces of mutton in it. We had it along garlic butter naan and butter naan!
Chicken biryani -(Recommended) DELHI Darbar is especially known for it’s lip smacking biryani. Never miss to devour it when here!
We also tried ras malai as dessert which was ok! And even their lassi and fresh orange juice was good!

Delhi Darbar is an apt place for non vegetarians, mughlai lovers and foodies like me. If you’re in the mood for some authentic mughlai and north indian cuisine, this is the best place for you.
They have ample number of options on their menu to choose from and you will be confused on what to order.

I love dining here and especially this outlet because it’s huge spacious and you’ll find classy crowd visiting here. Since it’s located in the most touristy destination of Mumbai, hence the classy crowd.

The place is well managed, service is quick and staff is courteous and soft spoken. I loved the overall experience here.

My favourites to be tried here will Rogan Josh with Naan. Ive never eaten such fluffy, soft and wonderful naans anywhere in Mumbai. They were simply amazing.

Must try the Tandoori platter which comes with variants of starters if you wanna try different starters on one plate. It includes Boti Kebab, Reshmi Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Seekh and Mutton Seekh kebab.

Next up is their famous Biryani which is the highlight of this brand. Chicken tikka Biryani was simply delicious but I have to say, bit more oily than expected.

Ended with a lovely matki of Phirni which has always been a favourite of mine after having a heavy north indian meal.

Bon Appetit!!

When you think of Delhi Darbar these are the first few things that pop up immediately in your head - next level delicious Mughalai delicacies, shahi (royal) food, families enjoying their meals and  chirping constantly at your adjacent tables and so on.

Well, we did think on similar lines and went ahead to enjoy our meal there. This iconic restaurant is right in the middle of the ever busy colaba causeway, near to Regal Cinema. Finding this one can never be a problem for anyone as it is one of the well-known places in the area.

That being said, we started with a mojito till our main course arrived. The mojito was pretty average but refreshing nevertheless. Here's a look at other dishes we had:

Appetizer: Asked for paneer chilli with a little bit of manchurian gravy, which was quite decent. Could have been better if the gravy was a little thicker.

Shahi Paneer: Small cubes of Indian cottage cheese blended with cashew gravy. We expected this to be a royal affair but were left disappointed because of the hint of coconut flavour, which we felt didn't go well with the dish.

Dal Tadka: You cannot go wrong in this one and they managed to get it right. Heavenly combo with hot naan to bring life back in our meal.

Veg Biryani: Steamy rice mixed with mixture of vegetables and spices. The aroma was inviting and is a good choice in veg rice options.

Overall, the experience was good one but could have been better. In our view, the place offers more non-vegetarian options and quite known for it as well.
So, it's a 3.5 from our end for the items we tried out.

Delhi darbar is a known brand in teams of the authentic Indian & arubi food. I recently visited their colaba outlet and lemme tell you it has a royal feel to it be it its entrance or even the ambience!

Now coming to the service its quite fast and the staff is also polite enough.

I had quite a few items and majorly liked all them.
Starters
Tangdi kebab-juicy & flavourful
Tandoori platter- so this has 10 pieces and all of them were soft & nice
We also ordered 3 drinks
Flavored mojito- was refreshing
Kala khatta- tangy & tasty
Mango lassi-this was too good i mean i was not tht interested while ordering but ended up liking the most.
For mains we had the famous butter chicken & naan honestly I don't like butter chicken to be sweet so liked this one.

Ended up with a royal faloodaa!

All in all the restaurant is nice & spacious and if you want to have proper Indian food this is the place to be because the flavors are on point.

Overall its a very good restaurant to enjoy a taste of the north India cusine, the staff is very polite, and the food options are upfront and honest, the taste of the food is delicious they have specials for each day, having you at surprise for each visit, the biryani is a bit disappointing on the flavors may be because we compaired it to jaffer bhai's but has its own authenticity is considered without comparison.
The dishes we ordered were
Malai tikka
Kabab platter
Butter chicken
Mutton Mumtaz badami gravy (Thrusday special)
Rumali roti ( simply amazing)
Butter naan
Mutton dum biryani
Gulab jamun to wind it up.
Overall its a good place to spend time with family and friends the menu is decently priced according to the quantity of portion.

Amazing seating space and with beautiful dining. Great decor and interiors. Very kind and humble staff and thus good food ettiquettes. Quick fast service and food served fresh and hot. Awesome food that gives a good flavour and thus satisfies the tummy. Wonderfully cooked the mutton rohan gosh and thus the tasty biryani. The stand out drink for me was the electric lemonade. Commendable service. Thank you.

Situated in one of the busiest places of Mumbai, this restaurant serves up good food! Tried out the non-veg platter and chicken biryani from here and I was immensely impressed with the former. Biryani felt very decent and nothing much to rave about. Also for me, it was the first time I've ever had a chicken biryani which had trace amounts of aloo served alongside which didn't feel like a bad combination at all! And coming to the much delectable platter, it consists of a mutton variety and four different varieties of chicken, with my pick being the mutton seekh kabab. Visitors to Colaba can definitely check out this restaurant and I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint!

A perfect family restaurant where you can go with family or friends to have a nice time and eat non-veg or veg food.

It is located at Colaba and is an 8 min cab ride from Churchgate station. It is mostly known for its Non-Vegetarian food. You will see ex-pats coming here and foreigners to fill their hungry tummies. The place is quite big which is two-storey and a comfortable seating arrangement. The service was also super quick, and the server was also really kind.

What we tried:

• Chicken Clear Soup: It had nice soft chicken pieces and the thinner-thick clear soup.

• Hara Bara Kebab: Well this we ordered by mistake, but it was pretty decent enough which had minced vegetables with a hard covering and deep-fried.

• Reshmi Kebab: It was soft and medium spicy tandoor which was marinated in yogurt.

• Butter Chicken & Rumali Roti: It’s a must, the butter chicken is really buttery and has a perfect taste to it and the rumali roti is so soft it just melts in your mouth.

I have been eating from this original DD which has no other branches for the past 20yrs. Nobody in this city can make roomali rotis like them for sure, I challenge you to find me better. The Reshmi roomali is equally insane. Of course the butter chicken and mutton biryani is the best. Chicken white is super tasty as well. The cream tikka is superb. These are my favourites here, though they do a super job with all their food. One thing you can tell them is not to put the oil or butter layer on top of your butter chicken, that can be a bit of a put off.

Proudly boasting themselves to serve "Mumbai's best biryani", this restaurant does try to stay true to their words.Ordered Mutton Biryani, which I was lucky enough to get since its usually unavailable due to high demand. The aroma was appealing, mutton cooked to perfection, the right amount of spices, masala & rice which neither feels too dry or too sticky. Definitely recommended for Biryani's, would want to try other Mughlai dishes as well on the next visit.P.S. They don't serve Raita complimentary with the Biryani (which should be a punishable offense). Had to order that seperately

This place is located opposite colaba causeway. It is one of the oldest outlets in Mumbai. This place is crowded most of the times. It serves best North Indian and Moghlai food. They are especially known for biryanis. We had ordered roomali roti, chicken angara and chicken biryani in main course. All the dishes were delicious. The blend of all the spices was amazing. Also the quality of chicken was extremely good. All in all a recommended place.

The food was absolutely delicious but dangerous. It tastes great but did not leave me feeling well for a day or two after. Had the butter chicken (so tasty) and garlic naan with a strawberry lassi.

Well to go to a famous restaurant and to find seats instantly was a good sign for things to come.. the mutton seekh kabab was mouth freshening along with the chicken malai kabab.. we ordered chicken biryani, mutton biryani, naan, butter chicken(specially for kids on recommendation by the server AMD instruction for making it non spicy).. mutton biryani was wow!! melt in the mouth mutton pieces with gravy, chicken biryani was also ok but for me the chicken was a bit dry, naan and butter chicken were a hit among my kids.. portions of biryani-one enough for 2 persons so order wisely.. ended with firni which was again wow!! staff are friendly, they know items and can suggest something for you..overall a good experience in Mumbai

Brilliantly made Biryani, love the half cut potatoes in the biryani. Mutton is fresh juicy and tender here, Surprisingly there was waiting time on a weekday ,that says how popular the place is. Many options to try for every palate.

I recently dined at Delhi Darbar and ordered tandoori chicken and masala papad for starters. The tandoori chicken was good, although it lacked a bit of masala and spiciness. The masala papad was well garnished but turned soggy rather quickly. For the main course, we ordered chicken tikka biryani, which was decent but not exceptional in taste. While the food was okay, the ambiance and surroundings were hygienic and well-maintained. However, the low AC temperature and strong AC flow caused the food to quickly become cold. Additionally, there was a waiting line to get a seat inside the restaurant. Overall, Delhi Darbar offers an acceptable dining experience, with room for improvement in certain areas.

This is the closest to the delicacy from North India. The food was really well cooked and served in just the right proportions. The place has a good decor and vibe, perfect for a family lunch or dinner and is right in the heart of the colaba market. The staff is also well mannered and ready to assist at all times. A must visit place!

The food was worth the money. The hype up that I got from various Mumbai based food reviewers were actually true. The taste were neat and clear to tongue. The waiting list is quite long and the servicing is okaish. Waiters are constantly hustling and we could see that. One of their waiter mistakenly gave us other dish but the manager handled it well by providing the replacement properly without adding any cost for their mistake. Food is worth the hype and I do recommend you guys to visit here. The atmosphere is fancy and beautiful. Loved it! Plus there is no class discrimination done and people belonging to all economic classes with any kind of attire are highly welcomed here.

Ordered Chicken Malai Tikka. Didn't quite like the gravy. Again it's always preferable to not go for heavy meals (which includes naan, rice and main course). Have learned it with experience that it's always better to have starters and tandoori and other items like that. Ambience was good, had to stand in queue. One thing I liked the waiters were all very happy smiling and welcoming, would be better if they work a little on giving a better service too. Next time I'll try other stuff and will update my experience. Mutton seekh kebab was delicious.

Had been there on a Saturday night. Had to wait almost an hour outside. To be honest it was worth the wait. The Biriani and kabas were juicy and just the right about of spice. It's impossible to reserve a table too.
