The heavenly combination of daal fry and chapati!
Didn't try anything else.
Dal fry was excellent. Onion waa not fresh.
However Chapati felt little different. Reason?
There are several Bhagat Tarachand from 1895 just like 100's Maganlal chikki in Lonavala. You will never know which one is original!
Staff serivce is something which needs maximum attention. They will serve you like a formality but expect a generous tip.
Visited this place with friends on a Saturday evening. It is usually very crowded in evening hours with some waiting. Ambience is nothing special. It’s all about the taste. Food is very good. Service is fast. Prices are on a cheaper side for Mumbai. Khicha chura we ordered was good with papad and onions fried in butter. Paneer manpasanda and lahsuni methi can be tried. Buttermilk was awesome as usual. Overall very satisfying experience!
Close your eyes and order anything and u will be happy for it ♥️ I order multiple times from this hotel. Veg biryani, special thali, sabji etc one of the best, Same taste same incredients, packing perfect no missing items. Pefect FAMILY RESTAURANT 👨👩👦👨👦👦🏘️ Taste 5 star ✨✳️My parents only loves food from this restaurant. You can check the pics of VEG BIRYANI contains Biryani, raita, papd, onion, lemons and most imp they understand i specified no boondi raita and yes they provide other raita ☺️
A typical Indian mouth watering spread with humble dishes and superb taste, this undoubtedly had to be our 💯th post! In frame, Masala Kulcha, Malai Methi Matar, Cheese Naan, Butter Chapati, Paneer Bhurji (highly recommended!) and Dal Tadka. Swipe left to feast your eyes with their famous Papad Churi and Mushroom Chingari.
Bhagat tarachand has always been one of my favorite restaurants among few other.. This restaurant has always satisfied my taste buds! But would like to bring to notice that the hotel has decreased its quantity of vegetable that are served as compared to few years ago.. Otherwise the restaurant is fabulous and the service is awesome
Love the place
An iconic restaurant dating to almost 125 years back, established in 1895. Today, the restaurant is one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants specialising in Punjabi & Sindhi cuisine. Their food is rich (on taste as well as calories) but almost finger-licking good and almost all dishes are made well, especially sev tomato, alu methi, palak masala and all paneer dishes. The thali is one of their highlights, being available in the Jain version, as are most of their other dishes. Of course, the meal at G Bhagat Tarachand is incomplete without having their signature lassi and/or chaas - both are equally good. Frequented by local traders and office goers, as also the devotees visiting the close by Mumbadevi Mandir.
Food is good , and as name is very famous , and this store is original Bhagat Tarachand since 1853 around and rates are also reasonable comparable to other restaurants in same area . And you can find rush here in weekends
Good and quality food. Ambiance is good although the place is small. Bottle chaas and lassi is worth trying
Nice good staff and pure vegetarian and tasty food
Decent option for Indian food.
Would strongly recommend his butter tawa parantha.
Foods is super super spicy so you need to insist on getting mild (less spicy) food when placing the order.
On the whole decent place for lunch.
Good place for take away as well.
This was one of the best places for daal baati! Their overall food is very good and always fresh! Loved the sev tamato too💕 The cost is also very reasonable. Waiters were not really very friendly though! Would definitely go again!
Amazing food. Ordered a thali to share. It was quite a fill. Also had butter garlic Naan with Paneer-do-pyaza (pdp) which was equally fingerlickin good
Food quality is good but service little late
Quick delivery right in the middle of a super busy market is the USP of Shree G Bhagat Tarachand. The iconic restaurant makes no bones about boasting that it's there since 1895 and has its own set of fixed foodies who visit the restaurant for some Sindhi and North Indian fare. The popular items of course being the thali, beer bottle chhaas and the khichya papad. But you cannot dismiss the ala cart option with many sabzis and roti variants to choose from. We tried the Paneer Tikka Masala and Navratan Korma. Won't say we haven't had better but this certainly for its price point and service speed did the trick. You must visit this joint whenever in Zaveri Bazaar!
Having eaten at almost all bhagat tarachands in zaveri bazaar, this restaurant could do better with the food it serves. Their food could taste better... A lot better... If they want.
