Maharajabhog is one of finest restaurant who serves best Gujarati food in Mumbai. I tried their biggest thali. I must say that is family Thali. Food was really good and that special Chiku halwa was to flavorful. I tried that first time in my life that was too yummy. Highly recommended that Chiku halwa. Here they serve perfect Gujurati thali with so many items…. I guess they serve 30+ items in that thali. I loved that kesar chandan water and their warm welcoming process. Even Bollywood celebrities love to be here to enjoy their meal. Specially that Rotla with jaggery and white butter. This flavor was pleasant. I loved the vibe of this place. I must say food quality is superb, and taste of food is best. Definitely you should try the food with your friends and family.

It is one of the BEST places to visit for a Gujarati Thali! The service is amazing and the number of items on your thali, oh my God! It's a challenge to finish your entire thali! (Do try your best to finish it and not waste any food). And you just can't decide what to eat because everything is so tasty! P.S.: 2 items including a piece of dhokla are missing from the thali cause I just couldn't control myself ;)

Maharaja Bhog – One Stop Destination for Premium Veg Thali! Having 4 outlets in Mumbai we visited their Malad outlet located inside Maharaja Bhog for an afternoon lunch to a decently packed restaurant on a weekday – Shows the fan following for this particular brand! We were pleasantly greeted at the entrance and taken to our seats – They do have a royal seating arrangement with tastefully done interiors. We were given a hand wash (Traditional style) at the comforts of our Dining table. The Thali draws inspiration from North, Gujarat & Rajasthan curating some fine dishes that forms part of you thali – Keep in mind all items in Thali is unlimited and you eat your hearts content! Our Thali consisted of the below : Kulfi Dhokla & Chutney Bomb for Munchers (Farsan to get started,. Dal Pakwan was the specialty of the day (We loved it) Paneer Tikka Masala / Aloo Mutter / Rajma formed part of veggie offering which perfectly paired with fulka roti, Bajra ka rotla & puri. Rice prep included 3 varieties – Steamed Rice / Curd Rice & Soul Satiating Dal Khichdi topped with ghee. 4 types of gravy offerings – Dal & Kadhi each in Gujrati & Rajasthani style. Lastly for dessert we had Halwa made of corn & Aamras which was the absolute best. They are currently running the Aamras thali in the summer season and they boast of 30 different menu for 30 days of the month! I recommend this place for a visit any time of the month and you will be humbled by their hospitality & the varieties of dishes offered in a thali!

We tried the unlimited thali at Maharaja Bhog inside Inorbit Mall, and it was my first time experiencing this concept. I absolutely loved it! Being able to try a variety of vegetarian dishes was a delight. The restaurant offers a daily menu, ensuring a different experience each time. The ambience of the place was pleasant, and the customer service was commendable. At just 699 rupees per person, it was affordable and definitely value for money. I must say, the food was absolutely delicious!

Maharaja Bhog is a Gujarati / Rajasthani thali restaurant that comes under Maheshwari Foods and hospitality Private limited. At present they have 5 restaurants in Mumbai, Pune, Dubai, kochi, and USA. After hectic day we went to dine at Maharaja Bhog. The authentic royal taste of food will blow your minds away. The rajwadi essence touch can be found in every bite. Their food is just like home cooked and healthy meals. The seating arrangement is very comfortable with large chairs and sofas and tables as well. We were amazed by the variety of spices enclosed in a glass showcase embedded on the wall. The plate was first arranged with lots of bowls. Everything seemed so lavish and Royal. Before beginning the meal, there is a tradition which they follow drop coins in a miniature cow piggy bank. Then we began with welcome drink kesar chandan sharabat. The taste was so refreshing . We had panner corn capsicum, thali pith pitla, aloo dilkhush, mix kathol rajwadi were the veggies. Every vegetable was something different and extremely tasty. The stewards were present everytime for us. This is such a buffet where you don't need self service. In farsan, we had chutney bomb and maisoori ring dhokla was supremely satisfying. The highlight was rasam kachori. You have gujarati and rajasthani dal /kadhi options. They serve three types of rotis fulka, makai, and sudhi thepla. In rice, we have options in khichdi /rice and Dum biryani. Both were extremely amazing you will fall in love wutb the taste. The thali also had sweets kesari jalebi, shahi tukda halwa and chickoo walnut kheer were the gem of the thali. Amazing service and excellent hospitality. Thanks to Ashish Maheshwari for hosting us.

Jan 13, 2020, Monday. 2000 hours. Malad Inorbit<br/><br/>The happiness of the world, a blessing of divine<br/><br/>The richest of food and the finest of wine<br/><br/>Owning the world, having everything at beck and call,<br/><br/>I want to be a Maharaja who takes it all.<br/><br/>The Precis:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>#gujaratithali #allveg #service #quality #hygiene #dalkhichdi #kachori #indiandesserts #celebrateroyally<br/><br/>The Prelude:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>Maharaja Bhog is a Gujarati / Rajasthani thali restaurant that started under the aegis of Maheshwari Foods and Hospitality Private Limited. This is the first restaurant opened up in Inorbit mall, Malad in 2004. At present they have five restaurants in Mumbai, one in Pune and Kochi each, and five in the overseas market. I would have loved to meet the Managing director Ashish Maheshwari, and I hope so next time.<br/><br/>The Picture:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>We the threesome, after a hectic round of shopping in the Inorbit mall, decided to try this place out. The facade itself seemed premium, It’s a huge dining hall, with a lot of servers bustling around. High ceilings. Golden decor walls. Zillions of mini cuboid chandeliers hanging atop. Comfortable seating with large tables and cushy chairs. We were more particularly amused by a display of a range of spices enclosed in glass showcases embedded on the wall such that they seemed like mosaic tiles. Awesome.<br/><br/>The Pampering:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>As we took our seats, we had large brass thalis plonked before us. And so too for the rest of the cutlery - eight bowls, one mini platter, three glasses, and two spoons. Everything screamed premium. And then we were offered a handwash in a maharaja style - a surahi and a plate affair. There is also a quaint tradition of their bringing over a miniature cow piggy-bank and seeking to drop a coin (one of their own coins) in it. As a sort of worship.<br/><br/>The Platter:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>1) Soon we were offered a welcome drink - a kesar-chandan sharbat. The sandalwood scent was strongly present, and it was as good as it came.<br/><br/>2) And then the fun started. Each day is a different menu. You had mini tikkis aka barsa-dola (potato and peas, served crisp) and deep-fried papadams and a white dhokla (Kulfi dhokla, if you may), served with three types of chutneys - beetroot, mint, and imli. Also, a platter of dal dhokla.<br/><br/>3) Four veggies – Kathiyawadi undhiyo, aloo-tamatar, mutter-paneer and white peas-soya (mentioned here in the ascending order of preference). The last one, in particular, was awesomeness personified.<br/><br/>4) And then you had the staples – Fulka chapattis, roti with gur and white butter, and methi roti. Dal khichdi, and veg pulao. A bowl of spicy daal, a tangy hot kadhi, and a sweet Gujarati kadhi (yummy).<br/><br/>5) You also had a glass of chilled masala chhaas as an accompaniment. The chhaas was thankfully thick but mildly flavoured. Low on masala, having green leaves very finely chopped into bits.<br/><br/>6) But the creme de la creme was the sweets. Anjeer Dry fruit halwa ( a simple recipe but a marvel yet - anjeer and mawa married together did wonders), Angoori basundi (the right consistency and sweetness) and Kesari Jalebi with rose petals sprinkled on it.<br/><br/>The Postlude:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>So this was a robust combination of the food, the premiumness, the opulence, the quality, and the service coming together. Kudos to the Ops Manager Vijay Pal for running the place like a tight ship. I shall definitely visit again.<br/><br/>The Proclamation:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>I have not solicited this place for a review.<br/><br/>I have not asked for any quid pro quo - either in cash or in-kind - for my review.<br/><br/>I have not used any strong-arm tactics for seeking patronization at this place.<br/><br/>I have not asked for doggy bags and "extras" gratis at this place.<br/><br/>I have not asked for, neither am I engaged in, offering any PR services to this place.<br/><br/>The Parameters:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>The Food Quotient: Food Quality: 5 / 5, Food Choices: 4/ 5, Food Portions: ---, Food Presentation: 4 / 5<br/><br/>The Other Determinants: Location: 4.5 / 5, Cleanliness: 4.5 / 5, Warmth: 4 / 5<br/><br/>The Hygiene Factors: Ambiance: 4.5 / 5, Space Quotient: 4 / 5, Delivery Time: 4 / 5<br/><br/>The Conclusives: Pricing: 4 / 5, Overall Experience: 4.5 / 5, Will I visit Again: 5 / 5.<br/><br/>The Ps:<br/><br/>============================================<br/><br/>Bouquets/brickbats can be addressed to sanjaynpunjabi@gmail.com or mentioned in the Comments section below.<br/><br/>You can visit my Twitter (@glutttony123), Facebook (sanjaypunjabi.sanjaypunjabi), Instagram (gluttony123) and my blog site as well, just for kicks.<br/><br/>Sincere thanks to stalwart blogger-influencers like The Bombay Glutton, Palki Hattangadi, Sanjay Thampy, and a few others whose writing I envy.<br/><br/>A big and grateful shout out to all my 76000 followers, a warm handshake from miles away for making me the Numero Uno in the country.

The authentic test of royal food available here. The flavour of rajwadi essence touch in every bit of food. Highly recommend for the people who love the desi taste of food. The service of this place is just at the next level. You don't even have to call them for anything they will just come to your table. This is the first buffet I've seen in which there is no self-service. The waiters come to your table for everything you want. The special thing about them is they have sign language for everything.<br/>The food over here was really good and really loved it.<br/>The dish we had on our dish was<br/>Pudla<br/>Missal<br/>There were 4 types of curries and 3 types of bread like<br/>Roti paratha rotla<br/>Two desserts<br/><br/>Highly recommended to visit this place. Thanks for serving me such amazing food and the service.

The place is little smaller compared to the one at oberoi and there is slight difference in the menu. Like at oberoi they serve 4 veg & dahi bada and here instead they serve 5 vegetables. Food quality, taste, service remains same like other outlet - its good.

Was there today for dusshera lunch... Found maggots in the Paneer sabzi.... Din't want to say it loud and spoil the lunch of other guests there.... So spoke to one of the managers there.... Showed him...instead of inspection he just took the drop of gravy with the maggot and crushed it and told it's nothing.... Should have taken a video of the maggot crawling before calling him....will never visit again... Nor suggest anyone else.

Maharaja bhog is probably one of the few last survivors of the Thali business... Hence its value for me increases a tad bit more... While I miss pannchvati gaurav tremendously this one's a fair substitute for now.. decent thali for people who want to enjoy a Gujarati meal

Nothing could go wrong with this place! It’s our favourite family place to dine at and we love every nivala we eat here. This time they had mango kadi which was very different and taste worthy! Also if you want to have the best off their menu, weekends are your thing.

This was my first experience having full thali at a restaurant. And I must say a great one.<br/>I visited this place with my family and I would like to say on behalf of (all age groups) everyone liked it.<br/>The ambience is great and the service as well.<br/>Food is definitely amazing no doubt about it.🍽️<br/>Being summer season they initially served us with welcome drink "Aam Panna"🥤😋<br/>They then served us three types of rotis(puri, chapati and masala bhakhari)🍪<br/>There were two vegetables ladies finger and potato with gravy.🍲🍱<br/>Two types of daal toor daal and curry(with option of sweet or spicy whichever you want)<br/>In farsan there was Patra samosa and white dhokla.🍥 And ragda patiece<br/>For sweets they served Aam ras, Jalebi 🥨and Moong dal Halwa.🍛<br/>They also had option for daal rice or khichdi.. 🍚<br/>For the sides they served papad, Chutneys and salad🥗 and butter milk🥛.<br/>In the end they served us sweet paan😋🥟🥬<br/>I hope I haven't missed out anything as each and every thing mentioned was yummy 🤤🤤🤤<br/>A total family place. All those with proper appetite and love for Indian food should definitely try this out..<br/>Simply Amazing 😍❣️

The perfect place which serves sumptuous unlimited vegetarian meal on a table serving basis. The meals are generous and tasty. The meal course is elaborate and covers all taste buds spicy, savory and sweet. The ushers are polite and indulgent. <br/>A must visit for patrons of Gujarati cuisine.

If you want to taste authentic and traditional vegetarian Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine this is the place to visit. They treat you like a royal with a warm welcome and a delicious welcome drink. The thali is made of bell metal and is huge in size. The food is an unlimited buffet where they serve you 3-4 course meals. Starters, drinks which include the tasty welcome drink made from chandan and butter milk, main course and desserts. There is a huge variety of items served in the whole meal. My favourite were the dhukla, hot pooris with maango Aamras, khitchdi and their mohanthal dessert. The food is very rich and homely. They serve you with 3-4 different sabzis, daal, kadhi, rotis, theplas, rice and khitchdi. The service is extremely good. Just make sure that you miss breakfast if you plan to go here for lunch and you miss lunch if you plan to visit the place for dinner. A must try place for some authentic Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine!!

Having unlimited thali is my favorite dining experience. <br/>Always been a fan of their thalis. So much variety of food in one! <br/><br/>This outlet is within the food court of Inorbit Mall.<br/>Maharaja Bhog is one of the few places in Mumbai which serves authentic Rajasthani cuisine. With the increase of western culture and cafes it's quite difficult to find places which serves such authentic local cuisine, but this place does a great job in preserving the royal authentic Rajasthani culture.<br/>The interiors are made really well and the seating is comfortable.<br/><br/>Homely food served with lots of love is their motto. They get full marks in the hospitality front.<br/> The service is really quick.<br/><br/>Overall it's a great place to try some authentic  Rajasthani cuisine and I feel we all need to take breaks from cafes and even try our authentic Indian cuisine to preserve or heritage.

In the past, people were born royal. But nowadays, royalty comes from what you do.<br/>I am not one of the royal family but when  I'm  eating at Maharaja Bhog  then it truly gives that royal feel of having a royal feast  sitting in my palace.<br/> <br/><br/>Maharaja Bhog strongly believes in the Indian tradition of "Atithi Devo Bhava" which you surely witness when you visit them.  The service is prompt, fabulous & the staff is supportive, very polite & well mannered <br/><br/>The food was Awesome  & the variety of food in the platter made it a delectable delight . The taste was so  real, pure & original with spice content so well balanced. I had a great experience exploring the  taste of authentic Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine. Surely this  is the best Thali in the Mumbai Suburbs reflecting the rich & diverse food  heritage of our country .<br/><br/> Loved  the amazing  rustic and cultural ambiance of this beautifully decorated place !! ...... · fabulous food excellent <br/><br/>I  had great fun enjoying the Royal feast Maharaja Bhog... Will visit this place again &  again... So, what are you waiting for ... Rush to try the most delicious, lip smacking and authentic  food at Maharaja Bhog......

It’s been a long time coming! <br/><br/>Maharaja Bhog has been on our bucket list for quite some time now and what better time to visit it than during summers when their seasonal special is aamrass.<br/><br/>So we visited their Inorbit mall outlet, it was quiet and peaceful with well-lit interiors and soothing music.<br/><br/>They started off by serving Kesar chandan cooler (welcome drink) mildly sweet and chilled is a good way to start the meal and forget about the heat outside. Then came Mirchi wada, Dhoklas and Dal Bhatti which were really amazing. Coming to mains, we really like the way the serve rather than what they serve. All the curries and bhajis are served in small quantities which ensures minimal wastage. We really enjoyed the mains especially the sweets. Malpua with Rabdi was great. Small in size, soft and crunchy with the right amount of sweetness was something we kept on asking over and over. Chikoo halwa was a bit nutty which overpowered the chikoo’s flavours<br/><br/>Now the main reason we were here was obviously aamrass and we kinda went berserk with it, atleast on us did. It was too good we had it with probably with everything we could think off before enjoying it on its own.<br/><br/>Also the staff here is a bit too friendly, they pretty much ensure that your thalli is never empty. So watch out :P<br/><br/>Overall, it’s a good place to enjoy a good peaceful meal with some seasonal delicacies

Yesterday i went with my office colleagues here. The food was above average. But the staff was pathetic and indecent. Especially a person in white shirt and trimmed moustache, don't know the name. So this is what happened: he started insisting that I take more aamras and halwa. To the point when the the guy who came to wash my hand he asked him to go back and not come till I finish all those avobe mentioned items. This was very insulting. And all this happened in front of my team. And before leaving he started forcing to rate the resturant on zomato. He said do it now in front of me or else you won't do it later. In total it was such a bad experience. I definitely would not be coming to maharaja bhog ever again.
