Last night, we had to wait 45 mins for a table at a restaurant named "29" in Tardeo. Instead of heading somewhere else where also we may have found waiting time, though much less, we decided to just wait out there itself. After an amazing main course, we were looking for the waiter to take our dessert order. Seeing that we were waiting since a long time, the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Nishek, promptly came to help us out. Asking whether he could take a few mins of our time and share what he's trying to do through his restaurant, he sat at our table. He introduced himself as an "employee working there" though he owns the place. Though I wouldn't be able to convey his message through as passionately as he did, here is some of what he said which moved all 3 of us to tears: - There are, in total, 660 recipes of local food meals in India which do not travel farther than 100 kms from their origin. - His primary motive is to give us all, all of those 660 food meals, in his restaurant "under that same roof, with the same AC and valet parking". - To do so, he changes his menu every 23rd May and November (his parents' birthdays) to get 70 new recipes to the menu. - Also, on those days, he just HANDS OUT ALL the recipes of the previous menu. - He has started this initiative a few months back and by Nov 2021, will be done with all the 660 recipes. - On that day, he is going to shut down his restaurant. - An engineer himself, who has stayed in Germany for 11 years, his thought behind the idea is: "When we have such beautiful and varied food in our country itself, why do we consume that cancer-causing bread?" The restaurant has many loyal customers; so much so that when Mr Nikesh found out that we were coming there for the first time, he gave us the desserts on the house. He knows each one of his loyal customers by name. A man on a mission, which is purely just to make us love the diversity of India and enjoy it's givings (the produce of India), Mr Nikesh is a true inspiration. Not at all concerned with the economics of his business, he exists just to share with us the beauty of Indian food. Really recommend every of one you'll to give his restaurant a visit. One can really celebrate food, the diversity of India and also enjoy the company of a truly patriotic man "in his simple restaurant; under the roof, with AC and valet parking"

Cool ambience with writings in Regional languages on the wall. Try to go a bit early to avoid crowds. The menu has tried to cover distinctive cuisine from 29 states. The food is delicious 5/5. Being a avid non vegetarian, was apprehensive regarding the food. But the food served really worth the money. Shahi kofta with malabar paratha is a must try

Amazing food. Very very filling. Two main courses and one starter itself was too much for three of us to finish.

Lovely food with amazing friendly staff. A good waiting area. Very innovative and mouthwatering dishes. ITS ALL INDIAN FOOD WITH A MUMABIKARS TASTE. Pricing is perfect for a good family dinner. Perfect for middle aged people who do not have a developed taste for continental food. Very clean surroundings too. I have already dined there around 4 times and would go again.

#Authentic food from 29 states with many as delicious jain alternatives and the restaurant offers very good service. Unlike any other restaurant, they change their menu every six months adding new recipes from those states. Quantity and quality of food here is both decent. Better having a group of people to enjoy this restaurant fully. Will surely recommend this place!
