Veg restaurant is what you find in Mulund and it is hard to choose from all of them. Woodland is a well-known food chain for veg and Jain food for all Gujarati friends out there.

Wow....just wow.
Magnificent spread of authentic southindian food with an absolute crafty chef.
A must go for anyone who enjoys the cuisine.
They have really taken the southindian food closer to being fine dinning.
Do ask the server for chefs special.
Always go with something new in menu.
Ive always liked this brand.. have gone to the Thane outlet many many times.. and this Mulund outlet couple of times.. the rasam wada is good.. the ghee sada dosa was nice.. the ambience is neat clean.. service is quick.. their pineapple sheera is lovely.. a must try.. but really sweet..
Hotel review :-
Woodland outlet is located in Mulund West near highway.
Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Server was very friendly and helpful.
We had a Super Veg. brunch at table. Absolutely feel at home. Extremely friendly staff to your service. Most food dishes and mix drinks we ordered were nice. very happy. Would certainly go for meal again.
All the tables were arranged properly .
The interior of the woodland outlet was ossum .It's like a peace there.
All the staff were co operative n food were served on time.
The food they serve, omg.. everything was so much on point , delicious, tempting, too much yummy, flavours were too good. I loved each and everything i had here which includes
1) cheese corn tikki- the flavours were melting in mouth
2) triple schezwan fried rice- The presentation was totally different- never had actually a triple coloured rice and manchurian oh god it melted in mouth
3) Fruit punch mocktail- Right mixture of each and every flavour
4) Blue Haven- This was the best mocktail ever.
Andhra sada, palak sada are insanely yum.
Veg makhanwala and butter nan is my once a week staple meal. Ofcourse cant forget the pineapple raita.
Friends swear by the palak khichdi
Awesome Place to visit!
Good ambience 4/5
Top notch Food 4.5/5
Service is good 4/5
Overall a Tummy pleasing experience!
Do visit!Bon Appetit ❣️
My first time visit to Woodland retreat, had heard a lot with friends and relatives living nearby.
Interiors and the ambience was good, neat and clean. The service provided by servers and waiters was comfortably well. We ordered Chilli Garlic Fries for starters which was very good and simply lipsmacking 4.5/5.
Then we went for Paneer Jalfrezi recommended by my friend but it was not upto the mark and didn't like the overall taste ,was mildly spices and paneer was so so. The ones who like less spicy and more gravy cream texture would love it. 2.5/5
The indian breads be ordered were Stuffed Kulcha, Garlic Cheese Nan's. Both were just fantastic and too good. I would strongly recommend others to try it. 5/5
Half plate Jeera rice was next. I mixed it with the Paneer Jalfrezi it was ok. Was too greasy 2/5.
The cost of all dishes are very good wrt to the classy service and ambience they give to their customers.
Favorite place to visit with family and have any South Indian / North Indian meal.
Woodland is located nice at Devidayal road, an area very quite and away from hustle bustle of station. It has above par interiors with nice illumination..
All the dishes are nicely prepared and well served plus this staff is as humble and generous as you'd expect
Few of my all time favorite dishes at Woodland are :-
1. RASSAM ( MUST TRY)
2. Neer Dosa
3. Palak Paneer
4. Set Dosa.
Like ' family doctor ' this place has become our family restaurant. We really enjoy the food, our usual orders are tomato/sweet corn soups, roti ( or something similar. ), dal ( tadka, palak, etc. ) & rice and masala papad is a must! Biryani is really good too. Oh and dal kichadi is YUM! Good service and pleasant ambience.
Woodland Retreat is a well established family dine restaurant in mulund and thane,
specialised in south Indian food,
we are regulars.
we usually have Idli sambar , filter coffee and wada sambar which are really really good
the new thing i tried last time was ghee dosa kadak, trust me its one the best u can have!
I have recently started going to this resturant. South Indian food is absolutely superb. Best of the lot is Rasam Vada and Onion Uttapam. If you are South Indian food lover then this is the place to go. I have not tried their North Indian dishes so cannot comment.
Recommended - north indian, veg kolhapuri, veg handi, jeera rice, fried dal

My family ka reunion adda. Have been visiting this place since my school days. For any discussion, celebration, announcements we always choose this place. They have been running strong at devidayal road of Mulund since 10-15 odd years. Good food and service. South indian dishes are must try. Quality of food has been maintained well in this competitive market. Must visit with family.
Went here with family for lunch on the 1st of may. Ordered panner tikka masala, panner kadhai, naan and jeera rice with dal fry. The usual things which we order at any veg restaurant but the quality of food really stands out. The ambience also is perfect for a family outing. Will go again to try out the south indian delicacies as I have heard good things from a friend.
Food here is awesome.. u can try south Indian or even punjabi.. if starters than go for papad roll.. unique and delicious.. service is quite okay.. u have to wait here after ordering food.. if you have patience and wanna hop onto some good Punjabi food than this is the place..
Really awesome Puliyogare, Bissi Bele Baath and Rasam! No glitz and glamour.. simple place serving good quality south Indian food specific to Karnataka. A must visit for all connoisseurs of good south Indian food.
Very authentic south Indian food.
Puliogare rice was the best.
Rassam is must try.
You can get other Indian food like north indian also there.
The Thali looked fulfilling and sumptuous!
Pros
Good tasty food
Fast service
Good variety in Dosas
Prices are decent
Cons
A little congested
Being a south Indian restaurant, opens late in the morning
So guys I am not sure why average of this restaurant is low however I do make it a point to go here often. They are one of those genuine South Indian food servers in Mulund West. You might find this place a bit noisy owing to Gujarati community frequently coming here but I find it interesting to the camaraderie they have in ensuring everyone gets attention on the table. Coming to food I would say you should try Rasam Wada, medu Wada, etc as they are very good. Apart from this all starters are made well so is the soup. Take your pick from any of them. In main course veg bhuna, veg jaipuri or the tiranga etc are good. They do make good lacha paratha. I would not say they are budget hotel but the qty is decent enough. We have tried multiple stuff and on rare occasions disappointed. This I am saying typically on my condition to have no onion and no garlic option. They understand it well. They do have enough parking space so not to worry on that front. And if you want a quite place reach early by 7:45 or 8 pm. Do try once for sure.
Superb place to have south indian snacks as well as punjabi main course and chinese. Start with the rasam which is like a chatpata soup . Lemon coriander soup is also too good. The masala dosa, upma, bisibele bath, dal khichdi and curd rice are for purists. Starters try the paneer chilli and hara bhara kabab. All the main course vegetables such as veg kolhapuri, veg kofta and kadai paneer are worth the money and time spent. Good place to have family get togethers
Best food, Try for Triple Schezwan rice and Vegetable cheese pizza you will love it ❤️ Also north india is good, pav bhaji not up to the mark.
Family restaurant..
Tasty food..
Good service..
Ambience- good..
Overall it was a nice experience to visit this place with your loved ones..
Had gone for dinner with family. Decent restaurent with good food and service.Staff was very responsive and suggested variation as per our taste. Serves jain food also. We had order soup, starter and punjabi food which was served hot and tasted good.
If you love south indian food, try out their thali on a Friday. The beans sabji that they serve is damn yummy. Its made with pure desi ghee and it doesn't even smells like it. I'm so full that I feel like walking back home instead of going by car. Yummmmy Thali. And they've some sort of license that says that the thali that they serve is authentic and some more jazz. But the manager once told me about it.
Friday lunch is always like "Mom, Woodland jaate hain, thaali khaate hain."
Quiet decent south Indian food if you are very hungry and around the area .. had idli and andhra sada dosa ( with garlic chutney all over the dosa ) .. Loved the idli , dosa was above average .. chutney was just ok ..
Date of visit - 28 Aug
After shopping in rainy season was feeling hungry, an evening hunger before the dinner. So landed up to the restaurant with wife and tried masala uttapa and medu vada sambhar. What I like about the food -
- taste, was cooked fresh
- comes in small sizes in multiples i.e small wadas but 4 in quantity. Same went well with Uttapa as well, smaller 2 qty.
I found their sambhar thick and has enrich taste.
Its due now for my next visit to try some more dishes.
Had been to thane and since it was my vegetarian day visited here.
Ambiance of this hotel is like an OK.
But it sweeps away with the amazing and tasty food they serve.
I had ordered the following things:-
1. Cheese pakoda
Soft and tender with melting cheese inside.
What else you want when u r a cheese lover.
2. Medu Wada
They were four mini Wada with awesome chat I and.
sambar.
3. Rava Masala Dosa
This one is a recommended dish... Crispy and batata
bhajji was very tasty .
4. Pinacolada
It's a good cold stuff to have with the above menu.
Nice hotel and amazing vegetarian food.
Decent family outing place. Decent food menu n taste wise. Can be planned to visit for casual dining. Tried north indian in a family get together. Turned out well. Need few improvements like accuracy in taking orders n serving.
Had visited this place on a Saturday for dinner with my family. Unlike the usual scenario this time there wasn't a long waiting queue. Delicious food in a wonderful ambience coupled with good service is the most important feature of this restaurant. Food suggestions well, we had #ManchowSoup #MasalaPapads #PavBhaji #RavaDosa #CheeseChillyToast #PannerTikkaMasala #VegHandi #TandooriRotis.
I just love the andra dosa and chutney served along with it.. They dnt make masaledar food... Its light on stomach.. Its simple classic and decent
Went to woodlands for dinner. The place was crowded like every weekend and there was a bit of waiting before we got a table. We ordered a variety of dosas of which the mysore dosa was my favourite. We also got pakodas which were hot and yum. The food was fresh, hot and delicious and the waiters were friendly and helpful. The only slight dissapointment were the drinks we got ( lemon soda and jaljeera). They weren't as fresh and the lemon soda didn't have much flavour. A good place to get a good quick meal in Mulund.
An extremely great place and has been the same for a decade or so now. Their Vegetable pizza is a speciality along with idli chilly and pav Bhaji. Perfect place for a simple veg dinner. South Indian available at all times.
Extremely crowded on weekend evenings. Ample chairs outside for the waiting period.
It's been a place to be for pure veg eaters and we love it too You are served two small portions of Dosa or Uptappam and so on Its quite a treat to look at as well Even the home delivery is fast and nice Staff is awesome to listen to your requirements with quick response Parcels are packed neatly and boxes they are delivered are strong and good Verdit -- Do try everything here Food is Awesome Simply the BEST
Its a very good Restaurant serving South Indian and Punjabi food. They also serve jain tasty dishes. It is pleasure to visit with family and also for party. It is in central Mulund area.
My Favourite Family restaurant.. Gud and reasonable food.. Simple ambience... Variety in Jain food.. Taste.. Quantity is well upto mark... Gets crowded on weekends.. Reservations arent possible...
this is pretty reasonable place.. I have tried many items here but for me they best dish has been simple daal khichadi.. the consistency of daal is perfect and texture is appetising. weekends could get crowded and you can't book seat in advance..
OMG !! OMG OmG !!

Visited this place for a quick lunch! I ordered the panner tikka masala along with tandoor roti! The quantity was quite good! We also ordered the executive thali! For which they serverd us with rasam and vada for free ! The thali also included buttermilk ! Overall a really good experience!! Must must visit!
Near to my house, oftentimes visit woodland, today thought to comment, a good, vegetarian family hotel, with friendly and respectful staff, from security guard to hotel manager, down to earth people, however I feel that taste of punjabi dishes has changed, but south indian food is still delicious and yum
We had Rassam. It is a must have on the menu. Andhra dosa is very spicy. They apply red chilly chutney from inside. The ullipai pesarattu dosa is a moong dosa with raw onion stuffing. Open dosa comes very soft and spongy with potato vegetable and red powder chutney on the top. South Indian papadam and cucumber groundnut salad is a good choice. Lastly the south Indian coffee makes a good the end. Though this restaurant serves panjabi and pizzas. The food it is known for is south Indian. They have a lot of Andhra dosa varieties. A good restaurant
A perfect family restaurant. They are quite good in terms with their Udpi cuisine. I had gone on a non peak hour, so I cannot really comment to how swift they shall be with their service other wise. I liked the food though, hence shall definitely visit again whenever in the vicinity.
I visited this place for the first time with my parents...After entering the hotel mom n Dad like the place..Crowd was decent.. We ordered hara Bhara Khabab in starter it was good. Then we ordered Pav Bhaji it was tasty.. We also ordered South Indian Rava Masala Dosa and SPL Dosa. Spl Masala dosa was good. Rava Masala was OK but too good if I compare with Pav Bhaji and SPL malasa Dosa..Quantity for Masala was less..I think North Indian Food in this hotel would be good.
Ambiance :4/5
Quality : 3.5/5
Quantity : 3.5/5
Price is reasonable.. I will visit this place again to try North India food.

Sometime Good & Sometime Ok....
I been 4 to 5 times but my experience was all time different, sometime food was superb & sometime it was just Ok... Service was also Ok...
The best restaurant in mulund to have veg food.
I have been here several times with my family. You can also avail a lunch thali here..punjabi food is the speciality over here..trusted resto for veg food for sure in terms of taste and value for money
Been here more than 5 times. A vegetarian attraction at a location where no other restaurant is there.
Pros: Good service, the cheese naan, and paneer tikka masaala is really something one should try. A pocket friendly average budget place. Has a special room for a small party or a gathering as well
Cons: Has a poor feature for reservations. Not a very good ambiance, and the place is really small. Some special delicacies would invite and brighten the place for sure.
We regularly have food from this restaurant. Parking no issues, near LBS road. Coming on to food. Anything you have is very tasty and hygienic. Excellent South Indian food and Punjabi dishes. Try Coconut Rice, Roti basket and any paneer sabzi. Need to improve on deserts. Have pre reservations on Saturdays and Sundays or any public holidays during Lunch or Dinner timings otherwise need to wait.
Good Ambience. Average service. Highly Volatile when it comes to food taste, sometimes super awesome and sometimes, ohh no... What the hell...
Family friendly.
Good experience ,food nd ambiance are tumbd up. Love its minimal Decor nd the food menue is good. The panner starters are tasty and its Punjabi food too.
Great restaurant for south indian food.
Especially the puri bhaji which is amazing! The rates are slightly expensive.
For families its a great place to hangout.
On a rainy day most would prefer the pakoras and chai.... Come to Woodland and dive into the Spicy Rasa Vada with strong Filter Coffee, dunniya bhola dhegi. Woodland leading the southern option.
good quality food and service. Nice family restaurant.
South indian n Punjabi food excellent
Service was good, food was okay as well. They need to improve their ambience it has been same for years and looks old.
Each item was very tasty and place seems to be in demand as there is waiting on weekends to be seated. Overall quality was worth the money and service was top notch. The seating is a bit crowded and unfortunately for us, we were seated next to a very loud table. We were barely able to have a conversation of our own :( and were relieved once that noisy group left the restaurant.
This place used to be way better a few years back. Now I'm not sure why the quality has degraded for North Indian dishes. But it's worth visiting this place for a nice vegetarian food.
Nice hotel we went there a family get-together we were 10 members there is ac room and good and fast service and nice space good environment. Good food also. Good family restaurant. I like veg Manchurian soup. And dal fry also good. Other disesh also fine. 10 people and from starter to meal and dessert our bill was around 4000 RS. So price wise good restaurant.
Very good vegetarian thali, with the highlight being Rasam vada, Servcie was friendly and fast.
Delicious food, pick up any item in the menu and it is very well made. A simple place but a must visit
Good place good food and service
We had wonderful day celebrated our grand son everyone enjoyed the event specific that mycle so nice did the performance
Perfect place for a family lunch or dinner. Great taste and quick service, sizable portions and reasonable prizes. The interiors are always clean and well-maintained. The staff is polite and eager to serve. The ground floor sitting area mainly serves those who want to have a quick bite, while the first floor (Air-conditioned) sections is for a leisurely dinner where you can enjoy your hot soup and conversations. We have been enjoying their hospitality for more than ten years now and always come home with a pleasant experience.
One of the Best restaurant in mulund west, serving many people from past many years. Serves best taste of foods and varieties.

We were looking for a place to have lunch in Mulund where car parking should not be a challenge. We saw this restaurant and without knowing about it, we entered. It is a very simple, quiet restaurant without much fanfare. We had aamras puri and lassi. We liked the food very much. The service was prompt and very courteous. The ambience was simple and quiet. Finally, the price was unbelievable
I liked the taste here. We tried both Punjabi and South Indian dishes here. Both were tasty. They use average masala and oil so you won't have acidity after food. Also during weekends, there was less waiting time compared to nearby overhyped restaurants. You must give this a try instead of waiting for 30 min during weekends. Strongly recommended.
Good vegetarian place, value for money, Indian quick service restaurant
Such a nice place for family get together and friends. Food is so delicious.
Great place for family time, good ambiance, food and staff was very helpful
Best food been served here.Very friendly staff and good ambience. All together I want to say that it is one of best restaurants in Mulund.I recommended all to come here at least once and try their lipsmacking food, you will surely love it. First I liked their biryani and secondly I loved their south Indian dishes which are must try.Excellent food available at an affordable price.
