We visit this Bar every Diwali Night and it has been our favourite. The chicken Pota and Prawns Koliwada is amazing, the main course is also good. Nice comfortable spacious seating in the AC section. Overall a nice place to spend some time with your friends

It's a Bar place so if you are with family suggest you pickup parcel. The food in this bar is awesome, unlike opposite corner, this place delivers parcel to your home. The butter chicken at this place is supreme class, awesome in taste. Tandoori is perfectly done and fine juicy to eat. Even their other dishes are great to eat.

Had given an order . The food was exceptional . Packing was individually done .Also special thanks to Mr Anil for his coordination

Cheap drinks, tasty food, it's for the guys place where you get local feel. Not suggested for family. Guys can hang out for cheap price liquor and good food.

Hazara has acquired a legendary status.
Just go with friends for a few drinks. Have the prawns koliwada and mutton seekh kebab and tandoori chicken with some beers.
If you can ignore the din created by fellow drinkers, you will have an amazing time.

A fairly reasonable dining-cum-bar area. Offers food that taste great & a service tangible with the rates on the menu card.

Why I have rated Hazara a five star despite it emerges from the shambles & untidy surroundings of Sion Koliwada as an oasis in a vast desert. I give following reasons for doing so,
1. As you enter, you meet with a Tandoor grill right on the footpath, ignore it, climb the stairs & you are into a comfortable, air conditioned area with decent seating.
2. The alcohol charges are value for money & you have a wide variety to choose from ( albeit don't hope for the Scotch's & wines) from the IMFL perspective.
3. True to it's surroundings, i e. the folklore of Sion Koliwada, you get phenomenal Tandoori, Tikka dishes, Amritsari Fish, Kebabs as well as for the veg fadists, something like a "Kadak wheat roti baked in butter with chat masala sprinkled over it, it tastes heavenly for a starter. Just try it. Also the large chickpeas( Kabuli Chana) boiled & prepared the Amritsari way, take you to the hinterlands of rural Punjab.
The main course is versatile, yet tending more towards Punjabi cuisine, fabulous in taste. Try their Chicken Hundi with Butter Roti, you might end up licking your fingers.
4. The service is Top Class, cordial, ever eager to serve you, humble folks, always ready for any customised dishes that you ask for.
5. The lighting is dim, soothing, good for a family dining experience also.
It doesn't cost a hole in your pocket for a wonderful evening spending time with you friends or loved ones.
Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ indeed!

The Bar is decent. I would pretty much recommend you only go with your office or college friends. It's not suitable for family.

Been going here since college days.
Looks like a shady place.
Since we got friendly we go with a mixed crowd of males and females.
Food is alright. It is sometimes good and sometimes bad.
We have had mixed experiences.
Cheese garlic naan is sometimes great but sometimes its screwed up.
Chicken tandoori and crispy are usually nice.
Well a lovely place altogether.

It was a moderate experience for me while visiting here. Seafood was fresh and tasty but some of the other things we tried were not that great. Service was quick but had to wait a while each time before ordering.

This place is there since 9-10 years. Hectic day at work, or want to chill out with friends, this is the perfect place to relief your stress with some booze. Staffs are well trained.

I’d recommend this place for its very good Mughlai and Punjabi food. Have visited this restaurant many a times since my school days. Food is good, staff is friendly and they have ample seating. This place is a heaven for non- vegetarians.

The vicinity is crowded, and get a parking spot can be really difficult. Advisable to cab it to this restaurant. Those taking a train, GTB Nagar station is the nearest to this restaurant. Although we’d find families here in the family section, I prefer going here with my male friends.
There are many other restaurants in this vicinity that are worth a visit too.
Coming to the food, we generally order the following:

S T A R T E R S
All the general starters in the Mughlai and Punjabi Cuisine are available here. Some of Indian Chinese cuisine have made it to their menu and they have done a pretty decent job in making it a super hit along with the drinks.
My all time favourite here are the Paneer Tikkas and the Corn cheese balls.
Non-vegetarian options are almost limitless and you can even get Kapuras here.

M A I N S
Tandoori Rotis, Naans, Parathas and all types of Parathas and other flat breads are available here.
Subzis are endless and I have almost ordered each of the dishes over many years. My favourite here is the Paneer Makhanwala. The Paneer they use is the malai Paneer and not the skimmed off Paneer. That’s makes it special, soft and tender unlike the rubbery ones.

D R I N K S
Straight drinks of most Indian and foreign brands are available here. Beers, vodka, whisky, etc are well stocked. Never had it happened that a particular ordered drink isn’t in stock.

Overall, a good restaurant with very delicious food. A must visit whilst you’re in Mumbai. Extremely value for your money and a treat to your taste buds.

Very nice tandoori chicken and fish kolwada. Prawns koliwada is outstanding. Ambience is okay but food is awesome. Surprisingly some of chinese dishes are also nice like hakka noodles..

Good place for quick bite or a cheap place to grab few drinks!
We tried prawns fry and fish fry ! Both were very good. One of the better places for tasty fish fry. The fish was fresh and juicy as well. Only problem- they say it was ravas but I doubt it! It was probably Basa!
Sangeeta Bhoumick
We tried Jhinga fry, Chicken pakora, Veg biryani and Chicken 65.
All of them tasted very good except the chicken pakora which was not properly fried and was very tough to chew.
Taste for rest :- 4.4/5
Chicken pakora:- 2.5/5
Ambience:- 3.9/5

This is a place which has been around since a very long time. An excellent place for single or a group of men to sit and enjoy their drinks. Not really suitable for families. Drinks are quite cheap and service is polite and fast. Do try their prawns and rawas koliwada.

Amazing place for non veg lovers.. the kebabs were exceptional good and the service was well taken care.. Chinese at this place was surprised in the box although not authentic but perfect for a Mumbaikars taste. Must try the Chinese and kebabs highly recommend
Very old childhood memories of prawn kolliwada from this place still fresh in my memory. ..not a very clean and sophisticated place but the food over here is finger licking good. ..no place matches their prawn and fish kolliwada.
Shabbir Baldiwala
May not have half the ambience and sophistication of a Mahesh Lunch Home, but make no mistake, this place dishes out awesome seafood. The prawns and fish Koliwada are definitely worth a try. Liquor is served in 'nip' system and overall accounts for a very reasonably priced meal.

We have been here many times. The ambience is not very great. But they have amazing North Indian and Punjabi food.
Our most preferred are the Prawns Koliwada, Rawas Fry and Chicken Tandoori. The sea food here is very good.
We also had Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan which is good.
Kajal Dhumal
Visited this place few days back...It's a good place for tandoori chicken....chicken handi which is available here is average ....had a wonderful experience.
Rohaan M Mubarakai
I went a LONG way to eat here and I was thoroughly disappointed. The food was veryyyy OK. Nothing to even praise forget raving about it.
The family room was in between the bar.. the place was clean that's the only plus point.
The food
Koliwada Rawas Fry : was decent.
Koliwada Prawns Fry : the only good dish.
Koliwada Surmai Fry : again average.
Butterchicken : Terrible.. I don't even know what it was. The chicken was shredded and it was a wrong taste. Not spicy or sweet. It was SALTY ! For the first time I wasted food
Veg Hakka Noodles : a very standard chinese thela hakka noodles.

Was disappointed.

Bon Apetit !

Good taste of food although a bit on the costlier side but the taste compensates for it, had some yummy chicken tikka kebab and biryani. Ambience was extremely calm since we were moved to the family zone. Great place to have a romantic dinner and also fill up ones tummy with yummy food. A bit tough to find the restaurant for the newbies but once you do you'll definitely have fun with your friends partner or family for sure. Make sure you track your order timely coz the serving is pretty slow. Value for money restaurant though.
Shyamanta Borah
Ordered a prawns chilly and a white chicken tandoori half. Was in a hurry. Both were cooked to perfection. Wanted to try the rawas fry and the chicken Tikka too.But didn't have any time.Looking forward to try the same on my next visit.

I was recently introduced to this place by a friend. Not in a very great locality and if you are used to travelling by car, for once you will have to give up on the luxury.or you will only waste time finding a parking spot.
Food is finger licking good. Heard koliwada fish was born here. Not too sure of the fact.
But the taste of fish koliwada and prawn koliwada was amazing.
Chicken tandoori is another of their speciality. Rightly marinated tender chicken grilled to perfection.and it won't leave that red colour we are so used finding on our fingers.
Chicken lollipop were good.we wind it up with some Simple dal tadka rice.
This place is easy on pocket. All this and the bill was within rs1500.

This place is one of the finest place for non vegetarian food lovers. Ambience wise, there is enough space and the environment too is comfortable with family sections separately. Speaking of food, Chicken Tandoori and Kebabs are yummy and delicious. Mutton varieties and Rolls along with prawns are awesome too. Do try this if you wanna taste the best of Non vegetarian food

Food lovers every where, if you want like amazing chicken tandoori & fish Koliwada ... head to this place immediately. This is the only place in Mumbai where eating tandoori didn't turn my fingers all orange while i hogged on it. The fish & the prawn koliwada are the stuff of legends here. The only drawback is that this place aint that good for us girls, so order food to go & enjoy it with all the awesome pudina chutney & heaps of onion & nimboo...

Happened to drop by this place for lunch post reading up about it on various online sources.

Lets begin with the ambience - OK.. Not that great, dimly lit.

The service, the waiter who assisted us was a nice chap, but I didn't come here for the meet and greet! I came here to eat some meat!

The order, a plate of rawas fry, which was pretty good and definitely a re-order the next time. The other was a mutton masala as mr. waiter recommended it saying it was a Punjabi style dish.. Since I'm sucker for Punjabi food it was a go ahead..

15 mins later the the dish appears.... mutton masala was an absolute mess! The meat raw and barely cooked. Sent it back to the kitchen for it to be recooked, but again got it all raw. So packed it up.

Out of curiosity asked the waiter to bring us a lil butter chicken gravy to taste.. Sadly it wasn't remotely close to butter chicken gravy.

So unless your only going for a drink, and some fish fry don't waste your time at this place...

Post lunch, asked a couple of locals (sardars from the locality).

Here's what they recommended

1. Peninsula,
2. Hardeep Punjab
3. Mini Punjab
4. Sardar Paaya House

A tip, that I wish I was given before I decided to venture out. Not forgetting the best time to get awesome food is the evening

We just stood at the entrance and called for some food as we didnt want to sit inside. The chef stood in front of us and was expertly dishing our fish and chicken. We called for a rawas fry, prawns koliwada and tandoori chicken. The rawas was very fresh and soft and tasted great! The prawns were nice, big and super hot but importantly tasted nice. The tandoori chicken was also pretty neat. Overall food here is subtle without being over spicy or over oily. Good place if you wanna drink!

Ok sort of a place if u are looking to booze away from home. The food was just average but the service was quite decent. The ambience pretty average in the nonac section which is downstairs.Try this place if u feel like.
Manisha Kadam
The apt place when one wants to booze fearlessly and his non boozad friends can hog easily. Total pocket friendly place. They have a family section as well. Food is good. I have been here many times and almost tried all their kebabs. A must try would be their prawns preparation which is yumm. A limited menu on alcohol with regards to brands but one can pick their poison from their list.

What the funk.... Started vomiting after eating food here... Some one would die if they try any schezwan item here... Thought some problem with Chinese so ordered Indian and got a double doze of bakwaas food... Surely beware of eating here...

One of my favorite places in Sion. But not a family type of restaurant. Koliwada Jhinga and Chicken tandoori is a must try in starters. Chicken handi and tikka masala is Yum! 😍

A very good place for booze and Tandoori. A good experience. full on fun, a great place for group to go an chillax. Had been to party at this place of two friends who had their birthdays

worst experience ever. spoiled my family evening. Not a single family room? ppl drinking everywhere. smell of alcohol. just hated. A STRICT NO NO FOR FAMILY DINNERS. I am not bothered about the food cause the plates are oily glasses stinky. JUST HATED IT.
Tushar Jambhekar
Cheap booze and tasty food - that's Hazara in a nut shell. This is a quarter joint and not really a family friendly place. But most ideal if guys wanna get drunk.

The food is good and most appealing to go with booze. Chicken, prawns and pomphret are the things to cherish- of course in typical koliwada style.

Give the place a go the day you don't mind the cacophony and take a ride on the wild side.
Umeeksha Sharma
This place is damn famous for its koliwada prawns and black dal fry. The rates are also very moderate. Fish tandoori and chicken tandoori are the gems of this restaurants.

This place is Close to my heart as this is the place where I first tried Prawns and fell in love with it the very Movement. Ambiance is very average but if you are a foodie then you will not mind it at all
Kamal Jonwal
I knew of this place since 1991-92 but got a chance to try after 17 years. Located in the busy market outside the GTB Nagar , this place offers authentic tandoori items. Try their non vegetarian tikkas n other tandoori items. A very economical place that also has a bar. Ideal for quality food on an economy drive????

Best starters and snacks which go along with booze. The place is very crowded in the evenings, but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended: Prawns Koliwada and Rawas Fry. I recently tasted their Chicken Kebabs which were not that soft, but very tasty and gentle on taste buds. Tandoori Chicken is as good as always. They also serve very good Chicken Tikkas and Butter Chicken. Food here is not too heavy, neither on taste nor on pocket. It is a great option in the area to enjoy great non-vegetarian food. They have a very good white chicken which is rich in flavours.

Ambiance is okay buy surrounded is very active till late in the night. Staff is bit off at the times when the restaurant is overcrowded. Avoid personal vehicle as you will lose your mind finding a parking spot.

Overall an amazing experience in terms of food. Have been here since childhood and never got disappointed. Highly recommended.
Sharmarahul7
Really worth the money. Good food. Parking is an issue. Highly recommended for guys going out for booze with mouth watering Indian starters. Well made Punjabi food. Overall 4 stars

Though known for their Prawn Koliwada, I felt it was average.

I liked the Pomfret(Not Tandoori. The deep oil fried one). It was amazingly fresh
