Again another place serving awesome Asian food. Coming here on a lunch with the girls or a family diner, it has the perfect ambiance for all kinds of hangouts. Food service and pocket friendly are the key points.
SOI 69 a high end bar located amidst the upper side of Worli and serving some of the finest and authentic Thai delicacies on this side of town.
Chef Seefah & Karan are the famed curators behind the widespread and tempting menu.
Just a while back had dropped by for their special cursed Thai New Year menu. If their yellow tail carpaccio wasn't enough already you know what I mean.
We kicked off by trying some pomelo salad followed by a bowl full of of deep fried Money Bags. The pomelo salad was something new for me because I'm personally not too big on salads but as it turned out it's the most interesting salad I've had so far, I finished an entire serving of it.
We went on try some Deep fried prawns wrapped in vermicelli noodle and some savoury leaf wraps.
In mains we went straight for the Lobster and northern Thai curry which was an absolute treat, succulent meat just melting in ones mouth and the spicy curry just firing things up. We went on to try some of the Roasted chicken coupled with some wok tossed veggies and Jasmine Rice.
Lastly we had Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Now this was a new type of dessert for me personally and despite me not being the biggest Mango fan I quite enjoyed it.
There are a lot more of such delicacies on the menu and I'd suggest you try them out even the vegetarian options. Looking forward to dropping by soon.

Surprised to read Jalpas review. I was there for lunch today with a group and had an assortment of maki rolls which were all delicious. Thai salads and John Dory are a must try too. Great experience overall and definitely value for money!
Great food and service !! Had an amazing experience .we had spicy fried rice , prawns thai chilli paste, crunchy avacado maki roll everything was on point last but not the least honey toast was to die for!!!đ
Amazing food and ambience ! Mushroom gyoza, mango and papaya salad, crunchy avocado sushi, eggless noodles are excellent ! Consistent quality and service !
Food was very good. We had vegetarian and everything was excellent. It was a party. Service was extremely slow. Ambience is upbeat with retro music ( maybe for the party). Overall highly recommend it.
Great Thai food at great prices. In starters we had chicken dumplings. Which were yummy and We had the pad Thai and Thai curry for the mains. Both were great. Would definitely go back for more.
Again an asian wonder! Loved the good vibes bright interiors and the overall atmosphere. The ambience is set for a lovely diner with family or even to catch up over lunch with your girl gossips. The service and staff are the highlights and so is the quality and choice of food. Amazing time spent!
We ordered takeaway from Soi 69. The chicken in cashew nuts was excellent! The Hainese chicken rice had to much garlic in the rice. The avacado maki roll was good.
A friendly suggestion : To thoroughly enjoy the food over here you need to have basic knowledge about the cuisine/ accompanied by someone who knows the cuisine well.
As per my friend ( who's an Asian food lover ), Japanese food taste develops last, you start liking Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Korean & then comes Japanese.
FOOD ( 4.5/5 )
Sashimi : Raw fish sliced into thin pieces enjoyed best with soy sauce. Don't forget to have pickled ginger inbetween to avoid fishy aftertaste!
Wasabi Prawn : Oh man! The zesty wasabi sauce directly reached your nose. I so loved it. Prawns deep fried with wasabi sauce. Also the salad given along had wasabi sauce in it. ( I would have loved a non-wasabi salad to balance the taste )
Shrimp Tempura Maki Roll : Maku means to wrap, so it's a rolled sushi, I would absolutely recommend it to go for it you are a beginner, as the shrimp is cooked here so newbie would love it.
Tuna Tataki : Thin layered tuna which is seared over hot flame subtly, marinated with vinegar & some sauces, it was topped with bonito which is a dried, smoked tuna, we didn't really enjoy bonito as much we enjoyed the tataki per se!
Green Thai Curry ( Prawns ) with Jasmine Rice : After having đŁ we shifted to my comfort food, Thai â€ïž One of the best green Thai curries, quantity was really good, jasmine rice had nice buttery scent & was perfect sticky! Absolutely MUST HAVE.
Honey Toast : Freshly made caramel poured over fluffy honey toast topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sinful! MUST HAVE.
Sex on the Beach : My favourite vodka based cocktail, done right with basics, peach & orange flavour was balanced perfectly!
SERVICE ( 5/5 )
Absolutely warm service, the staff was knowledgeable about the cuisine, & were giving us nice inputs to finalise our order. Attentive, were there around all the time at your service.
AMBIANCE ( 5/5 )
They have stick to dichromatic look for the seating arrangement which I totally loved, it's red & black, looks absolutely stunning & elegant! Sofas are super comfortable. Overall feel is amazing, you get typical cheerful SoBo crowd around which peps up the overall atmosphere!
CONCLUSION
Honestly I have limited exposure, but as a newbie I would say it was a pleasurable experience! It's located right on the main road, easily accessible ( in the same building as Bombay Bronx ) Definitely worth visiting!

About the place-
Soi 69 is the most famous street for the good life experience of food and drinks in Bangkok. This restaurant ensures a culinary experience with age old family recipes & local flavours of street vendors bundled with traditional Thai and Japanese delicacies along with a live Sushi Bar.
Soi 69 is located on 2nd floor of Hubtown Skybay, Breach Candy. The place is beautiful with soft music in the background. The place can easily accommodate 50-60 people. The service given by Mr. Bhaskar & Mr. Shankar was just outstanding. They recommended the best dishes as per our preferences. Coming to the food Soi 69 serves Asian cuisine. They also have good Jain options.
Our ratings are solely depend on food.
What we had?
To be honest until few years back we hadn't developed the taste for Asian Food, but after being to so many places serving authentic Asian food and knowing how it is prepared, we have now developed the taste for it and we really love it. After having food over here Soi 69 happens to be out go to place for having Asian food.
DRINKS
This place has an amazing bar which serves a variety of drinks. There are lot of drinks according to your taste. The restaurant however should have more mocktails on the Menu.
â¶Shape Shifter-
This Cocktail is made from Vodka, Earl grey tea, star anise, with crushed black pepper & a slice of guava on side. It was perfect to taste with right the amount of Vodka. A must try for those who love guava based cocktail.
â¶Strawberry Float-
One of the best mocktails we had till now. Definitely a must try for all strawberry lovers. It was made from vanilla ice cream, strawberry syrup & 7up on top. It tasted just amazing. Highly Recommended..!!
â¶Sin-
Shake made from Nutella, Cream & Chocolate. The sweetness was very well balanced with good chocolate taste. Highly recommended.
â¶SOUP
Miso Soup (Jain)-
Yes you heard it right, Miso soup is available in Jain. Traditional Japanese soup made with miso paste (fermented Soyabean) & cubes of tofu. It was good to taste.
â¶SALAD
Miso tofu avocado Salad-
The only salad available in Jain which is made from Lettuce, Tofu, Avocado, Zucchini, cherry tomatoes. Its dressing was creamy & very delicious to taste. Hat's off to the chef!
APPETIZER
â¶Agedashi Tofu-
Not available in Jain. 4 pieces of tofu were coated with corn flour & deep fried. They were served in a pool of gravy. The tofu is the best thing over here. It was so soft & delicate. Never had such a soft tofu ever. A must try. Also a good option for people who want to have low calorie diet. The tofu just melts in your Mouth. I can visit this place again and again just to have this. Highly Recommended..!!
â¶Thai summer roll-(Jain)
Fresh veggies like lettuce, bell pepper along with mint and coriander rolled in rice sheets with crushed ground nuts to give that crunch. It was served with a sweet and tangy sauce which makes these rolls interesting to have.
It was sweet & sour to taste.
SUSHI
â¶Crunchy Avocado Sushi-
6 pcs are served at a time. All we could say is this was the best Sushi we ever heard. Finally developed a taste for Sushi. The taste of sesame seeds along with sticky rice, sea weed and avocado was just perfectly balanced. It tasted even better with the Soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger. Highly recommended.
MAINS
â¶Kao phad kra Prow Rice-
Basically sticky rice cooked with spices & veggies in it ( like babycorn, cauliflower, broccoli, etc were used) It was spicy to taste. Also available in Jain. Definitely worth trying.
â¶Phad khee Mow- Veg
Noodles cooked with exotic vegetables like Broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower, cabbage. Sprouted moong was also added to it. It was spicy and also delicious to taste. Recommended..!!
DESSERT
â¶Water chestnut in coconut milk-(Eggless)
The only eggless dessert which was available. Waterchestnut with the flavour of rose was added with coconut milk. It tasted good.
Soi 69 is a small but a valuable package. The restaurant is not huge nor spacious but somehow has a warm cosy vibe to it. The lift door open directly inside the restaurant and itâs quite a chic and classy crowd that u spot at the first glance. The service is fantastic. Almost flawless and Mr. Kumar gets a brownie point from me for being the best ever. He just made us feel at ease.
Coming to the food we tried some amazing sushiâs like the in-house specials like the tempura, avacado, cucumber and cream cheese rolls as well as some mushroom gyoza. Pretty impressive and perfect. The gyoza was par excellence. The salads are interesting. The raw papaya or even the mango salad are zesty and super taste bud enhancers. The soups are good and I loved the Tom kha a lot as it had a nice coconut milk taste. Though the kaffir lime taste was too sharp so was a little put off somewhere. Though for the kaffir lime lovers itâs ideal. In the mains we loved the green Thai curry with steamed jasmine rice. Just too perfect and flavour some. The bar tender is the best player here. He mixed up some of the best concoctions for my friends who enjoy cocktails and the vodka, Campari, whiskey based ones were awesome. In Mocktails we loved the strawberry float and the coffee sangria. Float was the usual but the coffee sangria was surely unique. The mojito was fantastic. In desserts do try the honey toast with icecream. Itâs a class apart dessert.
Overall a good meal and worth a trip to south mumbai for a gourmet meal like this.
This place is just lovely to hangout with friends and family. It's beautiful and attractive. We had great food. Everything was so good. We ordered for sushi and gyozaa.. and they serve the best sushis in town. The staff is extremely friendly. Will definitely visit soon. Thank you!
A pan asian fine dine is my latest weakness and every time I have to try this cuisine I get excited and look forward to my visit. Soi 69 has been in the limelight lately and itâs sure to make a place in my heart. Was there to have dinner last night and I could see the whoâs who of south Mumbai dining there. The sobo crowd is chic and classy and the place is elite so itâs a definite ritzy experience. The place is small but pretty. Was a full house on a Thursday night which speaks volumes of its fame already. Right from the restaurant in charge, miss simran to our attendant, Kumar, everyone was perfect. They were attentive and friendly. In fact an extra brownie point to Kumar for being the best ever. I was confused on deciding the food so He made me stress free as he took over the charge of ordering on my behalf. Loved his helpful gesture and he definitely came up with the best of drinks and food for us. Highly thankful to Kumar.
The food and drinks just kept flowing and all of it was amazing.
1. In the beverages we tried a lot of variety, I wouldnât know the cocktails but the fruity notes were fantastic my friends told me. I tried the Mocktails and they were coffee sangria, caprice and strawberry float. All 3 were unique and delicious. The best was the coffee sangria.
2. Sushi - In the appetisers we started with the in house special dishes. Green house California roll, which was made with avacado, asparagus, cream cheese, cucumber and yuzu mayo. Was soft and the binding was great. The other one was the tempura roll. A mix of soft n crispy. Fantastic. The pickled ginger, wasabi and soy dip just complimented the sushi well.
3. Soups. Tom yum & Tom kha. We ordered for both and both were zesty and piquant. The difference between the two was the coconut milk used in Tom kha. Both had lots of vegetables and spices to give a nice punch of flavours.
4. Mushroom gyoza. One of the best appetisers. The menu is quite compact but still manages to give out the best.
5. Salad - spicy raw mango and papaya salad. Both were super but we especially loved the mango salad. It was a knot above. Lovely citrusy flavour and crunch of peanuts made it so delicious.
6. Thai green curry and Jasmine rice. A main par excellence. We loved the flavour of the jasmine rice. The curry was of course fantastic but the rice just bowled us over.
7. Noodles. The basic soy garlic flavour was amazing. Just a perfect dish for me.
8. Dessert. Do not miss the honey toast with icecream here. Itâs got the wow factor which is commendable. We chose the vanilla and black sesame icecream along with it. Was fantastic. A dessert so unique and tasty is rare to find. The slight salted caramel flavour along with the peanut crunch added feathers to the entire flavour.
Chef Senthyl has definitely proved his talent here by making all of us happy and content with this meal. I definitely look forward to such meals.
Visited soi69 recently with my family. The sushi was incredible and fresh. Loved the interiors too, they were very vibrant. Canât wait to be back again.
Soi 69 - Sobo Has this amazing place which serves Asian food. Decor is Chic, lovely Bar (Mixologist has done a good Job) Sheefah has Curated a lovely menu (Given a bit of authenticity to the dishes) many may find it a bit blend but this is local cuisine all about. Visited the place a couple of days back. For me, it was a winner. Some dishes stood out. Let's get into what we had for food and later the cocktails.
Appetizer: Veg, Mushroom Gyoza, layer and texture was perfect. Mushrooms with herbs and the spices were bit on the sharper side (it's either a hit or a miss) I loved it. Topped with micro greens and served with Chilli dip.
Mango Salad (Raw) this had a spicy hit to it as well as the sweetness and sour and circus taste. Simple yet a good combination. Try this. Nice portion. Fresh crunchy.
Wasabi Prawns - after a long time had some good Balance of Prawns and Wasabi. Nice Hit of wasabi. Prawns placed over lettuce leaves which had a mix of Mayo wasabi dressing. Some onions and cherry tomatoes. Topped with micro greens. A must for people who like wasabi. Prawns fresh, batter friend. Crunchy.
Miso Tofu/Avocado salad - Smooth as silk. Loved the infused tofu with miso.Made it simple. With fresh lettuce leaves/Onions. Avocado was the star ingredient. Silken tofu wow. overall nice. Subtle in taste.
Coming to Sushi's - they have tried out some nice Veg. We asked for BELL PEPPER AND GINGER and TOMATO AND CHEESE, this again becomes a personal choice. Hit or a miss. Texture was lovely. Light and tasted good. Tomato was good with the cream cheese on the top. Try out for a change.
Asparagus with Cream cheese - this was one of the good sushi i have had in recent times. Made perfect. Light and just about perfect. Texture was fine. White/black sesame. Go for this i bet one will like it.
Non Veg - tried the SALMON MAKI ROLL (spicy) Presented well, had a good taste. Soi 69 is known for its sushi's. Do try. They have a special counter for the same.
Must try the Yellowtail Carpaccio - perfectly sliced. Bold flavours. Nice hit of lemon a bit of orange zest. Diced tomatoes some non spicy jalapenos. Overall this was a perfect.
Mains - Thai Green Curry with Jasmine sticky rice. Here i guess they have used fresh coconut. Curry was just perfect in texture. NOT thick is most of us like it. Flavours subtle to bold. Exotic vegetables. By partner commented this was one of the best she has had in recent times. I go with her word.
A lot of veg options to choose from.
Opted for the Thai Phad Thai in the noodle section. Just the way you get it in Thailand. No oil. Taste blend. BUT they give you condiments like peanuts/lemon/chilli flakes (powder) one has to mix it as per his/her taste. Loved the concept. Noodles cooked to perfection. For me this was just YUM.
Tom Yum Fried Rice - wow , this is one dish which was just amazing. Basically Hot and sour at the same time a tad sweet. Here the chef has blended the rice with Tom Yam flavours. Broth/lemongrass/kaffir lime/Chilli peppers/lime/galangal. No coconut. Loved the rice.
Last but not the least must try the hot Stir Fried Chilli Prawns with Thai paste. This had bold flavours. Medium size fresh prawns used well. No rocket science . Tossed well. Can go with fried rice.
Dessert: Honey Toast with Matcha ice cream. Nice combination. Loved the texture and the taste. Balance was good.
Overall - For me this place is a winner. Service was good. Being a Wednesday it was packed. Go for it.
I had gone with my girls for a Galentines day yesterday. We had a great time the food was amazing and the staff was very kind. Hoping to visit this place again especially for the Honey Toast.
Soi 69 is the place for some YUM thai and Jap food. Props for the lemongrass fried chicken, authentic curries and some tasty sushi rolls. The yellowtail carpaccio is outstanding and so is the honey toast. Much needed place in Sobo for authentic yet delish Thai, a gem!!!
Finally get to sample food originating out of âThe Blueâ without having to wait (im)patiently for your turn at the table! We did not even wait to actually get there and ordered in. We tried the following
1. Asparagus sushi - tender yet crunchy asparagus, would have worked better with a touch of cream cheese
2. Torched salmon sushi - sure âfireâ hit
3. Eel avocado sushi - as good as POHâs and thatâs saying a lot
4. Mushroom gyoza - I know, I know, gyozas need to be had piping hot so you can enjoy their crispiness but I liked these nonetheless. Great flavour in the mushroom filling - the mushrooms were minced and not a paste actually worked in their favour
5. Crispy pork - great but with mixed pork quality. Some great fatty pieces of pork belly but some quite tough meatier pieces as well. Stir fried with zucchini and baby corn
6. Stir fried Mushrooms - button, shiitake and black fungus stir fried in a soya, spring onion sauce
Hope to visit soon and update the review. Soi long and thank you for all the fish!
Another new opening at Breach Candy, Soi69 serves mainly Thai and Japanese food.
Loved their Thai green curry and the Asparagus Shushis.
The ambiance is nice and the service was very good
Located in the heart of Breach Candy Soi69 is a newly opened restaurant which serves Thai and Japanese cuisine.
Genuinely this is a great place with classy interiors.
Along with food this place has great Mocktails Loved their Sushiâs and Thai curry.
Overall itâs a decent place to enjoy your meal.
Very rarely do i visit places that wow me so much that I donât have anything negative to write about it. The place has amazing vibe with great service and even better food. The only things I felt could be better was the mushroom gyoza but other than that everything else was 10/10. Some of my recommendations are:-
1) Thai spring rolls
2) Tofu carpaccio
3) maki sushi specially the mushroom tempura roll with truffles mayo
4) Thai green curry with garlic rice
5) yaki udon noodles
6) Tofu with cashew gravy
7) Honey toast.
Just what we needed! Absolutely loved everything that we ate- Thai Summer Roll, deep fried lemon grass chicken, raw mango salad and greenhouse sushi! Cannot wait to visit again!
Very nice food, amazing staff, and great ambiance! Fantastic overall!Â
Highly recommended to anyone who wants a great Asian dining experience!
It is a wonderful place to get an authentic Asian meal with friends and family. The staff is extremely courteous. Highly recommended for all
Soi 69 opening in Breach Candy was a breath of fresh air. A casual cum fine dining experience in the heart of the city - their claim of flawlessly combining Thai and Japanese cuisine is 100% accurate.Â
Must Haves:Â
Wasabi Prawns
California Rolls
Shrimp Tempura Sushi
Honey Toast Dessert
Great food, very attentive service and hospitable owner. We used to live in South East Asia for many many years and are fussy about Asian food. We had the green curry, papaya salad, Thai basil and chilli minced chicken and everything was perfect and authentic. The chestnut in coconut milk dessert was to die for! Weâll definitely be back!
I visited them in the 3rd week of December when they had newly opened
What I had ?
Crunchy avocado with cream cheese sushi & asparagus tempura sushi
What I liked the most?
We finally have a sushi place right here in breach candy
What I thought?
They were surprisingly impeccable in their service for a newly opened place. Iâm definitely going to visit them again for some delicious sushi
I went for dinner in this restaurant , if i start with the welcoming, which was begins with polite greetings as nice gesture and good assistement by Hostess to the place where i can confortable.l thought if yr start is good everything is good.
Then i placed the Order for wine, which was properly served by their well trained bartender.
Once i start with my drink i ask to suggestion for good food pairing starter with wine and staff naively suggest me a starter called "Thai Summer Roll" and yaa it was totaly good with wine. Their staff has good eye contact with guest cuz they present theirself before we trying to ask something which i also like about it. They got rush on that time But they were like it's normal for them. Even ambitions is also as good as people thought and they have live kitchen counter which is like awesome.
Because i was in hurry so i finished my two glass of wine with starter,in additional the way they were presenting their bill was also good like Aftermint in glass of champagne and cover up with bill . Only one thing which i think they should have more work and polish on it, it is their inter communication otherwise clap for them.
Finally i got farewell greeting by their hostess which shows each one of their staff was good caring to you.
If u r very fond of food you should try it

Went to Soi 69 for Christmas dinner. Itâs opened by the same people who run the famous âBlueâ. Amazing experience in terms of food. Ordered the papaya salad, salmon nigri, chicken gyoza and crunchy tuna sushi for starters. 10/10 for all of them. Main course was Thai curry which was mouth watering delicious. The only let down was the massamam curry which was on the sweeter side. Super ambience service and great music.
Went here for dinner the second day after it opened and it was already packed! The service was great and fast and it didnât seem like they had just opened. The staff is extremely nice and polite. They have a live sushi bar where you can watch the sushi being made while enjoying your meal. I had the Tom yam soup which was great and had a huge quantity. The avo salad also had great flavours. The mushroom Gyoza was really good as well. The pad Thai was a little bland however we added sweet chili sauce to it and then it was great. Overall the meal was great but I found there to be less vegetarian options.
Soi 69 is run by the same guys that operate âThe Blueâ in Bandra and boy, am I glad that they decided to start something in Sobo! Amazing food! Will surely be paying them a visit again.
Recommended dishes : Chicken gyoza, crispy tuna sushi, yellow tail tuna carpaccio, minced chicken with chilli and basil, honey toast

Delicious Asian food- yellowtail carpaccio, sushi, egg fried rice, John Dory, chicken gyoza are all good. The vegetarian mushroom gyoza was a let down, it needs more flavour.
Great ambience! Decent food. Great place to relax, read a book and sip on wine!
Superb food and great service. We had taken a six course meal and the inclusions very really good and tasty. The ambience is great. One section looks like a library, just perfect. Enjoyed our night there.
Lovely place. Great embience. Well maintained and managed. Foot tapping music. Good food. Nice place to hangout with friends. Reasonable prices
Doppio offers a great dining experience at a very reasonable price. Their truffled mac and cheese and avocado on toast are great starters. In the main course, they have a great Thai Curry Ramen Bowl and also a wide variety of Pastas. Doppio also has a good range of cocktails with the Creme Caramel and Espresso Martinis being the most popular. A fine dining experience should set you back around 1000 rupees a head which is much more reasonable then most other restaurants in South Mumbai
