Delicious food..! Food quality as well as quality is very nice. It is worth. We ordered chicken soup and chicken noodles over there. And we just enjoyed the food there. We loved it. They give very good service as well. Good customer service. Quality food. Overall very good restaurant to visit. Value for money.

Small place, with non ac seating on the ground level and a larger air conditioner area on the mezzanine. Traditional Maharashtra food with typical indo-chinese also on the menu. The thali is highly recommended, good size and definitely worth the 3-400.

The place is not very big or you won't find great ambiance. But the food is very very delicious and affordable. Their thali is supremacy. Absolutely good amount of fish and great taste of curries. Prices are pocket friendly and quantity is great.

Its a good place to be with family, groups or couple. Sitting arrangements is good upstairs. Food is also good. budget friendly place you can have food for two in 300. Car parking is not available need to park on road. You will get good malvani food don't forget to try kombdi wade in you want to try something new in bread or roti.

This place has thali system as well as ala-carte. The taste of the food was "feel at home", not too spicy not to bland. Just the right balance. Its a small place with ac as well as non-ac sitting area. Loved the solkadi and bhakari that they provided.

One of the best if not the best to have malwani and Chinese food.the food is so good that it takes you to a lazy konkan and malwan afternoon admidst lots of trees and a rustic rural charm.the thali gives you everything from a malwani soup to sweets with mouthwatering meat dishes.would definitely recommend everyone to try this out with family and frenz.also the chopper rice is awesome 😀

It is a Malvani speciality restaurant which also claims to be good in Chinese preparation hence decided to try chinese food.<br/><br/>I had ordered food via food delivery app and the delivery was on time.<br/><br/>The packaging was decent. I had ordered Fried papad and it was wrapped in aluminium pouch hence the crispness was preserved.<br/><br/>I had ordered Chicken combination fried rice which comes as chicken fried rice with manchurian gravy.<br/><br/>The fried rice was average to taste with small chicken pieces in it but it was very dry. The chicken manchurian gravy which was supposed to be mixed with the rice was so watery that it went right through the rice without much altering the taste of rice. There were chicken pieces in the manchurian gravy and they were good.

If you are looking for authentic malwani food with some mix and match with Indian and Chinese cuisine then this is the ideal place.thali is their speciality with a variety of sea food and meat to choose from.the mutton and chicken melt in your mouth and the curries keep you coming back for more.its the nearest konkan and malwan to Mumbai.try the mutton thali and bombil chilly.chopper rice is awesome too.

This restaurant is just opposite Vazira Ganpati Temple. I ordered Bombil Thali.<br/>The food was just disgusting. First of all it was not served hot, the gravy was too spicy and had orange color in it because when I ate my lips got all orange and it was too sour in taste, the bombil fry was also not at all crispy and seemed as if it is made and kept. The whole food on the thali seemed to be precooked and just served on the plate.<br/>The ambience and service is also bad.<br/>I will not at all recommend this place to anyone, if you try the food here you will start hating seafood and not come back.

I don't write much food reviews but this people send me such worst food in the name of malvani taste that I am writing this review. This guys really don't know how malvani food is. I would recomand owner of this restaurant to remove malvani word from his restaurant name. They are insult to malvani food.

I absolutely have no clue about the ambience and service here as all we do is order the kheema from here! It's really good. A bit oily for some but for that once in 3 months craving for some authentic mutton kheema, this is the perfect place! So my entire rating is for the mutton kheema 😄

Ordered Prawns Biryani & Pomfret Fry. It arrived rather quicky than expected (especially conisdering the distance between Restaurant & Residence).Quality of food is substandard.Nothing was fresh & not property heated.

To my utter disappointment I received the smallest crab I have ever seen in my entire life being served at a restaurant. They charged 280/- for this.<br/>I called the restaurant and complained, they calmly said "ya chotta crab tha ajj". We ordered bombil fry today and forget being tasteless, the bombil were satle and we had to throw it in dustbin with no option left. Very bad food and will never order.<br/>

We had dinner here last Friday when we wanted to have Fish. So we went here, its near to Don Bosco high school bus stop. So we ordered Pomfret Thali and Chicken Thali and both with Bhakri. So to tell order we need to wait for almost 20 minutes, so service is slow and also needed to wait for 30 minutes to received order, service is not good at all, also the people which came after us received order before us, so service is worst, -1. So we had delayed order and thought that to prepare good food time might require more. But we were wrong, the bhakri was soft but not fresh and hot made, it was cold and not tasting authentic Malvani Bhakri, next is thalis, we had Pomfret Thali which included Bhakri, Rice, Fried Pomfret, Fish Curry, Fish Tickle with Pomret in that, Jovla, Green Chutney, Salad, Solkadhi, Onions, Lemon etc. Chicken Thali included Chicken Sukka, Chicken Curry, Bhakri, Rice, Solkadhi, Onions, Lemon etc. So pomfret was good and fried properly and crispy, Pomfret in tickle also good, so fish was good. Jovala was also good but less in quantity, Salad was good, Fish curry also tasting good, Green Chutney nice, Slakadhi is not thick and not tasting authentic Malvani style, so quality is +0.5. Quantity is not much as compared to price varieties of items are not much but not less also, its average, so +0.5. Prices are more as compared to other nearby restaurants, but not much also, +0.5. Interiors are also not looking fresh, not feeling airy and hygiene also not maintained, cleanlinessnis good, +0.5. So ratings now, +0.5 for quality, +0.5 for quantity, +0.5 for pricing, service -1, +0.5 for interiors and cleanliness and hygiene, so overall rating comes to 2 stars. So its not recommending to all but good to try in emergency. In recent times I found typical Malwani restaurants (Fish serving ones to be precise) are either way too expensive or very poor in quality and quantity. Location is next to Manyavar, in Vazira Naka.<br/><br/>The Nosh :<br/>We ordered fish thali. To my surprise the quantity is really really great. To accompany it we also ordered bombil fry. Bombil is tricky fish, not many like it. The fry bombil was absolutely tasty, it was crunchy (the way it was sliced made it crunchy) and savory. Thali had two options of fish, fry fish and fish in curry. Size of Paplet (Pomphret) was big , really big. The taste of curry was very authentic. You have options to choose your bread, they have chapati, bhakari, wade, amboli etc. I preferred Bhakari as that tastes the best with fish curry. I ordered prawns fry from this restaurant but not from Zomato but from swiggy...the food was just cold..not even warm but just cold...i had to reheat it in the oven... secondly the quantity was less... U paid for prawns fry of RS 300 plus the tax of 54 i.e after spending 354 RS I got this..I am attaching the photos..

Very disappointing!!<br/><br/>Prawns masala was low on salt, although jumbo prawns👍<br/><br/>Pomfret fry- except for low salt, it was fresh.<br/><br/>I know I had positively rated this restaurant for their food earlier but since I was thoroughly disappointed, I wanted to share this as a word of caution.<br/><br/>Now, whether it was a new cook in the kitchen or one of those days when everything falls flat, I donno. The bombil fry was a bit more oily and salty. But the fish curry was nice in taste with fresh fish in it! Chicken masala too was good in taste! ☺

I Had gone with family for Thali's on Friendship day and what a amazing experience of fish & Chiken Thali and tisrio were yummy fulling and quantity was very good too....its a Must Visit.

This is a nice little family run place which has been recently renovated as well with an AC section. The food is good but not in the same league as other Malwani joints in the area. However their pay soup is one of the best I have had. Also couple of their fish food Thaalis are great. Good for ordering in or if you're in the area.

Had my eyes on this small joint since a long time..in terms of food...it was good...we ordered surmai thali.. but the place is very unhygienic...as we entered we decided to go upstairs in AC...the time we settled down there were "ANTS" on table...ac was nt working properly...so if u want to try something from here i would suggest take parcel... place is nt comfortable to sit n eat...

Just out of the hotel after a good meal . Had Tisrya Ghalu and bombil fry. Good dish. Small joint but worth visiting. Good quantity n excellent quality food. The service boys need to pick up pace. The owner Mr Nikam and Mr Sharma are very cordial and would check with everyone about food. A homely exoerience. Will definitely recommend for seafood lovers and surely visit again.

Sea food here is just ok, quality being compromised in terms of oil used, secondly quantity also not that great but the food tastes ok. <br/>If you consider the overall pricing for sea food joints then cost wise this place is at par (sea food joints always being costly), but just a caution don't order anything that's off the menu list. It happened with me that I ordered Pepper Chicken that was off the menu (it was not actually that great) for which he straightaway charged me 350 INR per plate where in all Chicken items in the menu were nothing more than 200 INR.<br/>In all just an ok place.

Another disappointing Malvani place. I have given this place many tries - because I'm a Malvani food lover and there's always hope that the food will get better the next time. But NO! <br/>Their food is substandard. The fish thali I ordered was very bad. The fried Bangda (Mackerel) was stale. I couldn't eat one bite. The curry was Red in colour with ground rice flour to make it thicker. Taste was screwed anyways but to add to the pain, there was some remnants of fish in the curry. Just like what the fisherwomen throw away close to their baskets. <br/>Please shut your restaurant, get a proper chef, renew your methods, buy FRESH fish, and start again.

The food was bad. The bangda was not right and tasted bad. The chapatis tasted stale. The curry did not have a decent piece either. It was just some left over of a fish. A very bad experience. I called the restaurant and they said they would bring us another bangda fry, which never arrived.

Ordered bombil fry. Bombil was not fresh. It was stinking. Plus Outer coating used for fry was bad and was carrying lots of oil in it. Pathetic quality.

If you are looking for a simple, nice, no - frill place to eat some good malwan food, this is the place. The portions are a bit small, but every bite was simply good food.<br/>We wanted non fried fish and the owner went extra mile to prepare tawa masala surmai for us. Chicken dry was aromatic and non spicy unlike other places. Sol kadi was fresh and very refreshing. I had two glasses.<br/>Don't judge a book by its cover! This is so true for haysar mast malwani.<br/>P.s: the place is unkept and there are ants on tables. Beware of the ants before you settle down!

Ordered mutton kheema and tisrya masala along with solkadhi. The kheema was yummy , may be oily for some people, but this is the way its made. The shell fish was awesome and my wife and mom were pleasently surprised by the quality of the food, the solkadhi was nice not as great as I have had before. <br/>To summarise , good place to order non vegetarian food, delivered on time.

Visited this place for a Sunday Lunch. The interiors are quite drab and resemble a lunch home. There is an AC section on the mezzanine floor. However, beware of the stairs leading to the AC section. Elderly folk and people with reduced mobility will find it a challenge.<br/>Demand mineral/packaged drinking water and check the glasses before using them. We found ants floating in the glasses. <br/><br/>The service is quick, food is piping hot and is definitely prepared fresh! The seafood thalis are delicious and absolutely VFM. The Surmai thali had one bowl of Surmai curry, one bowl of plain fish curry, three large pieces of surmai fry, a bowl of solkadi, a small serving of jawala stir fry, option of vade, rotis or rice bhakris, bowl of rice and a sweet motichur laddoo. The preparation is just the right level of spicy for the typical Malvani taste and feels like home cooked! We ordered Bombil(Bombay Duck), Prawns and Pomfret fry separately. Bombil and Prawns fry were outstanding. Crisp and far from the usual bland batter coating. The coating had a unique taste which complimented the seafood. Prawns were pretty big in size, but, the Pomfret fry was expensive for the size of the fish.<br/>Solkadi had a spicy aftertaste and somewhat lacking in both kokam and coconut.<br/><br/>The chicken thali, however, left a lot to be desired wrt the quantity. The chicken pieces were small, few and full of bones. Even the Chicken Kali Miri that we ordered separately was too less in quantity and the chunks were mostly bones.<br/><br/>Overall, a great place for seafood lovers. Don't expect a great ambience or a great dining experience. Just, enjoy the delectable seafood which won't lighten your wallet too much. And, despite the orthodox and simple looks of the place, they accept CC, Debit Cards, Food Cards, Food coupons and even Paytm!

There aren't really many places in Borivali for good malvani food, and when I found this one, it was more than just plain good. It was AWESOME! <br/> Let me just get to the point for you, I ordered Chicken Handi Masala, Vadas, Veg Pulao and Dal Fry. The chicken was cooked to PERFECTION. And when I write perfection in caps, I mean it. It was soft and just glided in my mouth and the gravy was full of flavours. The vadas (basically a different kind of puri maharashtrians eat) were yummy and as per expectations. The pulao was simple filled with the perfect veggies and the dal fry was yummy too. Everything was just made with the correct flavours ! I am so happy, I just hope they keep up the good food and I'll keep going there !

Had a great time. Lovely food. Had visited this place witj family. We ordered for 2 chicken vade thali, 1 mutton thali n 1 bombil thali..... It had the bst bombil thali ever eaten... Crispy n fresh bombil fry took my heart. The ambience was not that great but the food is worst. Not too heavy on the pockets. Would surely recommend to oncd visit this place

Awesome food. Good service, including home delivery. Haysar Mast Malwani has evolved from the days of Poli Bhaji Kendra to Sea Ball Chinese restaurant and to what it is now. Quite fond of Chinese food served here, chicken chili being favourite followed by scezwan fried rice and chicken lollypop masala dry. 5 stars!!!!!!<br/><br/>

I am not someone who likes seafood. But trust me this was definately worth experiance, I loved the food specially the malvani food and I mean it. The malvani mutton masala was just a delight in itself. Service was good and so was the staff.

We had a small get together and we ordered our meal and starters at this place for all my 32 friends, so the food was awsum but the service was slow sum of my friends ordered thali like fish, chicken, crab, pomfret so we tried most of them bec we were in a group the bangda thali was a much big portion so we had to take the rest half take away nice place to sit and enjoy in a small group up stairs.

Authentic Malwani food, we ordered thali- pomfret thali , surmai thai and bangda thali these were greater than what we expected from a small restaurent like them. Their thali contains 2 pomfret the surmai was 1 full big one which is sufficient of 2 persons and lastly the Banda thali also had 2 full bangda one fry and one in gravy. Regarding restaurant this is a small place , they have a/c section on first floor . Reasonable Rates compared to other with respect to guantity and quality. Service was good.

This restaurant is near to my place but somehow I never visited it. I went there with my wife last Saturday. Place is not that great good looking like other fancy restaurants who charge a bomb but who gives a damn about the place when you are served with excellent food. We ordered Prawns Fry and kheema masala pav. The size of prawns was huge and it was yummy and worth the money. Kheema masala was also delicious. If you are looking for good malvani type sea-food then visit this restaurant once. I bet you won't be disappointed. I am planning to go tonight as well.

Worst experience of ordering a home delivery from here. I would not have rate this hotel but i have to because it won't let me comment so i am giving 1.0 rating. I ordered a chicken combination rice and solkadi. They delivered me only the rice. And the guy who delivered the food to me took the whole amount including the price of solkadi. And when i called the concerned authority at this hotel they said me to come and pick the solkadi from the hotel. How irresponsible can a management be? Like if I had to pick the food from the hotel then why would i ask for delivery. This is a disgusting experience and won't order from here again. Worst day. Can't comment on how the food is but the management needs to improve.

restaurant is simple, small, neat, nice .. had bombil fish curry thali. was served 3 bombils, spicy curry, rice, solkadi, one big awesome halwaa like sweet, and extremely tasty dry little nano prawns to serve like a pickle .. cost was decent .. generous quantity .. the orange curry is very homely .. the colour was just the way i like it .. bright orange .. the overall experience was satisfying .. would want to go again to try some other fish ..

Services are fantastic, Nice location, sea food are awesome, delicious. Menu has varieties of list to be selected from. Bombil fry are no comparison it is so soft inside and crispy outside .<br/>

A friend of mine told me about this place so I decided to visit them yesterday this place is a small restaurant but they have amazing Malvani food I tried their bombil fry, kombdi vade, and surmai thali all were so good and moderately priced overall good place to have authentic malvani food<br/>Surely recommend this restaurant

Awesome Food. Loved it. Would recommend for sure. Preparation is the same as typical Malvani style. Also I can say that the delivery time is proper and we get to taste the food hot.

Mast Malwani is a decent place to get your fill of fish in Borivali area. Located just opposite Don Bosco scool, next to Manyavar showroom, this is a small two floored restaurant. The ambience is not too much to go by but the food is pretty good.<br/><br/>Me and a buddy had tried Prawns Rawa Fry, Bombil Fry, Surmai Thali, Bangda Thali and Mutton Sukkha. The Prawns and the Bombil was fresh and the green chutney they served along with it was quite good. The fish was prepared in authentic malwani style and the portions were generous. Good malvani food... But they don't seem professionals because on every visit we find something or other fault in their food... Sometimes prawns are not peeled properly or fish over burnt.. I didn't liked their fish thaali...

Its difficult to locate this small restaurant. Its just next to Dakshin restaurant. Ambience is not that good. But food is good and service is OK. Try the fish thalis they are tasty. I ate prawns fry , pomfret thali and crab sukka. Their solkadhi is too good.

Mutton was not stale or too rubbery, but kolhapuri gravy had capsicum in it (#weird). Having said that the taste overall was definitely a 3 for all dishes tried. Sol kadi was nice too !

I'd like to differ from the previous review that was given. This restaurant specializes in malwani cuisine and hence I only recommend one tries their seafood delicacies. I've tried their pomfret, rawas, surmai fry fishes and none of them have disappointed me. But what steals the show is bombil fry and their Sol kadi. Absolute must must must try! Their thali is priced decently and the though the service is slow, it isn't bad at all. Considering this is a small restaurant, the prices may seem high but they definitely do not compromise on taste. Cost for two may come.up to 400-400 considering I had 3 glasses of Sol kadi ;)

the food is okay...not bad...thereare more better malvani cuisine restaurants in that area though..bt overall itsjust okay...
