We had been here for a couple of times and always find this place welcoming and good food. Few dishes are our all time favorites like Dahiwali Bhindi, Kurkuri Bhindi, Panchratni Daal. They serve good Indian breads also. Have tried all other vegan dishes as well and they are really delicious. The place is crowded on weekends and there will be waiting at the peek hours. Location is good. Ambience of the restaurant is nice as well, with quirky decor. The service however is quite slow. But you will ne served with piping hot food. 8/10

This was the restaurant which was opened in place of 101. The Ambience had a close resemblance to the earlier restaurant. It was amiable and comfortable. The light was family friendly which pleased us. The food was good had ordered Kebabs and Naans with the Main Course. The food was pleasing and delicious. Though the entrance might look compact and small but once you move to upstairs where the actual restaurant is setup, you will be amazed.

♦️Awadhi murg handi - Delicately flavoured awadh delicacy was so creamy, with beautiful masalas which had prominent flavour of brown fried onion. Paired beautifully with butter naan. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Jalebi rabdi - Very thin crispy fried hot jalebis drizzed with creamy rabdi can never go wrong. The best part was it was not overly sweet. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Moong dal halwa - Can have it anytime of the day, it's so good. Perfect balance of ghee, sugar, zafran. Texture was also good. The addition of almonds and pista added to the crunch.

It's a nice small place with good colourful simple yet fancy interior.
The staffs were attentive and also thoughtful.

(It was really the best the rabdi was poured over the jalebi, both had real great tastes which went together completely, the jalebi was not too much sweet as at other places)

We were dining in at this place today. The food is quintessentially indian and the food is great. Service was really good and we were served by mr. Deepak Bhatt and Service was really quick. Here’s what we ate: 1. Virgin Hyderabadi Mojito - the Mojito was really delicious. The fresh drink was just amazing. 2. Tomato che Saar - the tomato soup was really good, it was one of the best that we’ve had. It had a slight spice to it and was really good. 3. Hazarvi Kebab - the Kebab was a white vase and was really good. 4. Awadhi murg handi - this spicy chicken was really heavy and good. 5. The butter kitchen daal - the Daal Makhani was heavy and hearty and really good. 6. Veg Pulao - the veg Pulao was a decent one. 7. Jalebi rabdi - the rabdi was lightly sweetened and the jalebi was decent. We enjoyed the food and the food was really lovely and so was the service.

We were dining in at this restaurant in Powai. It’s extremely centrally located in Powai right opposite D Mart. They don’t have parking which could be a downside but still the place is pretty good.
They specialise in Indian food and have a large Indian menu. We tried a number of dishes as the below:
1. Basil queen - this was a really great and refreshing drink which was milk based.
2. Murgh chaans ka Shorba - the chicken soup was really hearty and creamy.
3. Palak Lehsuni Khumb - the mushrooms were stuffed with a mixture of spinach and paneer crumbs that were sautéed in garlic. Really nice stuffing and great dish.
4. Dahi wali bhindi - the Dahi wali bhindi was epic. The gravy was sweetish and creamy and had some bhindi chunks. It was great paired with roti.
5. Butter chicken - the butter chicken was a good version and we really enjoyed it.
6. Veg Pulao - the veg Pulao was quite well made.
7. Moong daal Halwa - the moong daal halwa was most delicious and we really enjoyed the end of the meal.
Loved the food and service by Mr. Deepak Bhatt - it was really good and we enjoyed ourselves.

Today we have visited the butter kitchen Powai. The restaurant is located in the very plushie area of Kanjurmarg, Powai which is Hiranandani Garden. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The dishes we ordered were amazing. The service is little bit slow but the taste of food has covered everything. The ambience is lovely.
Talking about food,
Kodi Vepudu :
The chicken was so juicy and delicious. It was tasting very good and healthy. It was looking like a normal juicy kebab, however it very watery and perfectly cooked. Very soft and fine
Kadappa chicken Tikka :
Crispy chicken which was really very crispy and spicy. This is a real time spicy essential dish. The refreshing fancy flavour of lemon was causing great surprise with the fried chicken kebab.
Basil Queen :
The Colada, which is in peach green colour drink and topped with one corridor leave. First taste was milky and very mild in start but when the drink crosses from the throat after some time the overall mouth was very pleasant with mint-ness.
Virgin Mojito :
The orange drink was an Orange Mojito. A normal Mojito with orange drink.
Butter Chicken :
As usual everyone’s favourite and even my favourite the fabulous butter chicken gravy design with butter on the top and in the middle of the dish. Truly!! they had the perfection in making of the butter chicken. Lovely !!
Subz Miloni Handi :
Today even the veg was also making our very mood mind blowing. The taste is fabulous.

Butter Kitchen is located in front of DMart Powai. This place is famous for mouth watering Indian Food. As I was there the place was full, mostly there were families. The ambiance is modest and also a bit cozy. The lightning over here is perfect. The seating arrangement is very comfortable. The staff here is well trained and friendly. They also have a bar section. The service here is pretty fast, although the dessert was a bit delayed it was worth the wait. This place is perfect for a family occasion. Coming to the food they serve one of the best kebabs.

Butter kitchen is a family restaurant, where you can calmly enjoy your meal with your family and catch up on those gossips you have been missing on ! I visited them on a Thursday night and people kept coming mainly families. To start with the staff is very warm and welcoming & the ambiance is very calm and relaxing. I ordered for a few dishes, I must admit that initially the service was slow since it took a while for them to serve us the starters. The kurkuri bhindi was definitely worth the wait but not the Kodi vepudu as it had less of chicken and lots of bell peppers & masala. In the mains I really enjoyed their Awadhi Murgh Handi which I would definitely recommend everyone to try and have it with their kulcha. The butter chicken was average, I have had comparatively better butter chicken in other restaurants. The desserts were amazing! baked jalebi with rabadi is a must and so is their moong dal halwa! Don't forget to try their basil queen mocktail as it's refreshing. In all my experience was satisfactory.
Loved every item tried here. Food is really cooked well here. Do try the shahi tukda dessert which is not available everywhere. Also had tried the lentil based elumichai rasam as a soup and loved the taste.

This place is easily accessible to the crowd as it is located on the main road of the Central avenue. Well lit, fairly ambient place and serves good food. We tried this place on the new year's eve and to our surprise the service was quick and the food was great.
We were 2 people, ordered bungalow chicken curry with roti and were billed for Rs 759. It was quite economical for the portions they were serving.
Perfect finendine restaurant,not to fancy yet so beautiful. Service was nice & the staff was very professional. Food was excellent quality is the key if you visit such fine dine.
Zomato gold makes this place more affordable. Butter chicken was nice & it was worth the hype. Jalebi rabdi was the best I had till now. Must visit.
Cheese naan was extra ordinary, nice ambience with good place to dine.
Car parking can be an issue or you can opt for pay and park which is close by.

Sometimes the name is enough to know what they are specialized in. I am a huge fan of butter chicken so i was pretty excited when we planned to visit this place. This place is situated right in the heart of powai where majority of the restaurants are of some international cuisine. Probably only this restaurant have mughlai in their menu.
Ambience is simple yet beautiful. Bar is also quite simple & not overdone with light's. Service was excellent, the staff is quite professional. You don't really complaint about the staff if you are visiting this kind of restaurant.
No brainer for what i have to order. Our first dish was butter chicken & butter naan. I have never seen so much of butter on a naan which was nice eventually , quality of the butter was excellent also the naan was too soft. Butter chicken was just perfect, taste vary according to the people some likes it on spicy side while some prefer sweet. Here it was balanced that's why it was awesome. We also had some starters & some mocktails which was also nice.
In dessert we ordered jalebi with rabdi & surprisingly it was not that sweet either. Mostly jalebi means bomb of sweetness in some places but here it was perfect. Moong daal halwa was average.

This place is famous for their Lip smacking indian food, You may have to wait sometimes for your table However it's worth the wait!!
Located exactly opposite to Dmart powai with modest ambience.
There were few of the dishes i tried for the first time and i loved it.
Initiated with starter's:
Latpata makai roll: It was a bread topped with a mixture of smashed paneer, corn, corriander, Spices. This was very heavy and enough for two. Bread was crispy from outside and paneer mixture the middle was complementing perfectly!!
Solan ke Paneer tikke: This was a paneer tikka with green colour marination topped with Fenugreek leaves on top. It wasn't the best paneer tikka however enjoyable.
For Mocktails:
Mango delight: This was the mocktail of the day. It wasn't yellowish as expected however mango flavour was on point. It was creamy, Mangoi, and balanced sweet, couldn't ask for more.
Pinnacolada: It was again flavourful. This is my to go Mocktail in every restaurant and they made it flawlessly!!
In Mains:
Paneer khurchan: It was a red gravy with combination of sweetness and tangyness all together. Onion and capsicum pieces with big chunks of paneer made it perfect dish.
Cheese garlic Naan: This was one of the best naan i had. Cheese wasn't on top but inside the naan which made it soft from outside. I relished each bite of that with Paneer khurchan.
Palak Khichdi: It was served with a piece of Paneer pakoda. Quantity was huge for two However taste was little disappointing. It was like spinach piece inside the Daal khichdi. I like it to be more garlicky and Spinach puree could enhance the flavours more instead of Pieces.
Finished with Dessert:
Moong Dal Halwa: It was made fresh. It took very long to arrive however they made it fresh and it was aromatic and full of flavours and Ghee. It was unbeatable!!

If you are looking for an option for a nice relaxed meal with your family / friends, this is the place to be.
I have visited this place a couple of times and the experience has been great throughout.
During my recent visit with a friend for dinner, we opted to catch up at this place. The seating is spacious, umpteen options in Veg n Non-veg menu and not to mention their quick service.
We ordered Hyderabadi Mojito, a orange and basil mocktail which is very refreshing.
In starters do not miss out on their Kurkuri Jaipuri bhindi - its to die for. Amazingly crispy with slight tangy taste served with ghee based kadhi. Simply delicious!!!
In main course we ordered Miloni Handi, Butter Kitchen Daal with Kulcha and Jeera rice. Their serving are quite sizeable. The daal is creamy and rich.
We finished our meal with Jalebi Rabri- one of the best I have had in the recent times. Hot crispy Jalebis served with thick Rabri... delectable!!!
I would recommend TBK if you are looking for truly value for money meal. You wont regret your visit.

The Butter Kitchen is located in Powai right opposite the famous DMart hence easy to find.
The ambiance is nice and colourful. The have a wall made with various spices kept the moment you enter and the huge bar is nicely placed. The bar looks great but kinda empty though. Tables and chairs are arranged systematically and they are comfortable plus seatings are available for all size of groups.
The menu revolves around North Indian & Mughlai cuisines plus a lot of dishes are taken from various parts of the country hence options available are great for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. They have nicely explained every dish plus it comes from which part that is also available. Prices are not too high and the quantity served is also decent.
I went here for dinner and the kitchen service was quick plus the table service by staff SadreAlam was great as he was attentive and proactive. Also met Chef Priyank who explained us a lot about the making of the food which was interesting to hear.

Palak Lehsuni Khumb -
Juicy mushrooms filled with cheese, spinach and garlic with curd coating and tandoored to perfection tasted delicious. I loved the subtle flavours as cheese balances the pungency of spinach and garlic.
Chicken Hazarvi Kebab -
Tender chicken chunks with chillies and garlic marination tasted great. The chicken had mice juiciness intact and it looked but was not spicy.
MAINS~
The Butter Kitchen Dal -
Dal Makhani cooked for around 18 hours tasted outstanding. Trust me apart from big names in restaurant industry where I have had dal makhani before, this place is indeed serving one of the tastiest dal makhani. Creamy in texture and you feel the butter nicely. Had it with butter naan plus jeera rice and the combination was divine. It is their best seller and it definitely deserves the spotlight.
Awadhi Murgh Handi -
Boneless chicken cooked on thick tomato and onion based gravy tasted good. Not too much of spices used but had nice aroma of garlic and it went well with the kulcha ordered.
DESSERTS~
Rabdi with Jalebi -
Sweet, crispy jalebis topped with rabdi again was perfect. Taste wise again not too sweet but a super perfect dessert.

Hyderabadi Mojito -
Don't know why the name Hyderabadi. This was orange juice and crushed ice based with mint in it. Tasted refreshing and good.
Basil Queen -
Basil smoothie which was amazing. The basil flavours were not overpowering and it was creamy and smooth.

Desi food is soul food. It is the one thing that unites Indians across the world. So when opportunity arose to sample some desi flavours at The Butter Kitchen, Powai, I jumped at it immediately.
Standing true to its tagline of “bringing India on a plate”, The Butter Kitchen serves a variety of cuisines from all across India that patrons can savour here. The name “The Butter Kitchen” is a cheeky take on the north Indian specialty of butter chicken and a certain quirkiness stands out not just in the name, but other aspects of the place as well.
Previously known simply as No.101, the restaurant is a sister concern of Aroma’s. They have a branch in Thane as well. I visited the Powai branch on invite and tried a few dishes from the vegetarian menu.
Started off with mocktails of which my personal pick would be HYDERABADI MOJITO which boasted of the sweetness of orange juice and freshness of mint leaves. BASIL QUEEN, a blend of fresh basil leaves, vanilla ice cream, and pineapple juice was nice but didn’t manage to create as much of an impression.
Proceeded to partake of BASIL TOMATO CHE SAAR, a broth made of tomatoes. This had a runny consistency and a strong hit of spice. Curry leaves and mustard seeds added that essential Maharashtrian touch to it. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it if you’re a fan of spicy Maharashtrian fare.
From the starters, we chose to have the JAIPURI KURKURI BHINDI and PALAK LEHSUNI KHUMB.
I relished every bite of the bhindi. Perfectly crisp texture and the tart flavour of aamchoor - what’s not to like? Bonus points for the delicious kadhi served alongside which proved to be the ideal accompaniment for it. Trust me when I say that you won’t be able to stop munching on this.
The mushroom was another gem. The stuffing of spinach and garlic with a healthy helping of cheese in the juicy shrooms made for a class combo. Absolutely loved the dish.
The mains had us diving into SUBZ MILONI HANDI, THE BUTTER KITCHEN DAL, PLAIN KULCHHA, and JEERA PULAO. Loved all of it and would make special mention of the dal, because I don’t think I’ve had such creamy and buttery lentils ever in my life. The kulchha was super soft and went beautifully with the mildly spicy assortment of veggies that the handi was. The rice was perfectly cooked too.
We concluded the meal with MOONG DAL HALWA and RABRI JALEBI. I wasn’t particularly pleased with the jalebi and the halwa because of an aftertaste that seemed peculiar, in my opinion. The Rabri, however, was creamy, adequately sweetened, and rich as could be. Really liked it.
The Butter Kitchen boasts of spacious interiors and a vibe that’s essentially “Mumbai” and a bit influenced by Bollywood. The quirkiness is apparent in the framed posters and photographs, a rainbow hued assortment on one of the walls, and a graffiti of what seems to be their mascot on the wall right at the entrance. The seating arrangements, however, are more suited to family gatherings and for groups of friends.
As far as their service goes, the servers were attentive, polite, and prompt in providing assistance.
Overall, if I’m to opine, I’d say that the tag line of “India on a plate” is certainly befitting for The Butter Kitchen. Definitely recommending the place for a sit-down lunch/dinner with family/friends if desi food is your jam (and why shouldn’t it be).
Good to have place like The Butter Kitchen in Powai. It is situated opposite D Mart and next to Cafe Aroma, above Le Paan in Powai.
Most recommend dishes - Paneer Jholokia, Stuffed Mushrooms, Veg as well as Non Veg Platter, Murgh Awadhi, Moong Dal Halwa , Jalebi with rabadi. Also try Basil Queen under Mocktails - you will love it.
Perfect spot for corporate outings, great service and yummy food.

The butter kitchen in Powai is just opp D mart . Located on the 1 st floor is a small dining restaurant with nice decor & a beautiful bar . The food also is very nice have visited multiple times & each time we are having a wonderful experience. 👌👌👌
The Butter kitchen is located in Powai. It’s a casual dining restaurant and they serve north Indian & mughlai food. We tried their angare and hazarvi kebabs and main course. Food was good in taste. Amazing place to spend time with family and friends. The service is polite and helpful. Ambiance also very good. Will visit again.

My 3rd visit to The Butter Kitchen in past 6 months, second in past 3 weeks. It is located just above The Aromas in Powai opposite to D Mart. One of the finest dining options available in Powai. The look and feel of this place is quite warm, the kite shape artwork done on one of the walls, blinds on the other and a huge cabinet kind structure with jars places gives a fantastic look to this place. Since Powai is full of corporates and bachelors, this place is the best go to spot for everyone.

Love this place and love the options available in Menu. You may pick up on new food item on every visit, however if in case you love spicy and masala food. You will have to say it at the time of ordering. Have noticed that the food here is non spicy, even Bhut Jolokia Paneer wasnt that spicy as expected (taste may vary from person to person) . WOuld recommend every single dish mentioned above. Basil Queen should be ordered without even giving a second thought.

One of the best places to go for authentic Indian food! I love the flavors at TBK and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Being Indian, I like the fact that the food is absolutely authentic and healthy (not submerged in loads and loads of oil like other places). You won't be disappointed, your stomach will be happy and your wallet won't be completely empty... take it from me, I'm a student again. I have even frequented their Thana location for the lunch when I used to work in the area and I would totally recommend the place to others. The Menu is a great deal - lots of variety.

Superb interior,smoothing atmosphere, and food was just amazing, as many foodies recommended bhindi lurkers, so I ordered this dish bhindi kurkureand was really crispy and tasty,then I ordered malai kebab and dahi Ke kebab, everything was just amazing and finally jalebi Rabdi.... 😋,I just loved this place
You have to eat their delicious kurkuri bhindi and the dahi ke kabab. I promise you, that will be fit worth it even if you don't like vegetarian food.

The only thing that wasn't up to the mark was the main course. It was very rich and creamy but failed to have the flavours, it was rather bland.
The place has some vibes! Chef Mahendra was kind enough to suggest us with the best of the best that the place can offer and it was absolutely fantastic experience. Food is on point, no messing around here and like the name of the place suggests, you should definitely try the butter chicken here to experience the authenticity of this place. Try the Malpua for sure. It’s there for limited time and if you like desserts you should definitely try it! Over all, great experience!

Sometimes the name is enough to know what they are specialized in. I am a huge fan of butter chicken so i was pretty excited when we planned to visit this place. This place is situated right in the heart of powai where majority of the restaurants are of some international cuisine. Probably only this restaurant have mughlai in their menu.
Ambience is simple yet beautiful. Bar is also quite simple & not overdone with light's. Service was excellent, the staff is quite professional. You don't really complaint about the staff if you are visiting this kind of restaurant.
No brainer for what i have to order. Our first dish was butter chicken & butter naan. I have never seen so much of butter on a naan which was nice eventually , quality of the butter was excellent also the naan was too soft. Butter chicken was just perfect, taste vary according to the people some likes it on spicy side while some prefer sweet. Here it was balanced that's why it was awesome. We also had some starters & some mocktails which was also nice.
In dessert we ordered jalebi with rabdi & surprisingly it was not that sweet either. Mostly jalebi means bomb of sweetness in some places but here it was perfect. Moong daal halwa was average.
Overall it's a perfect fine dine restaurant in powai, rate is little bit on higher side but by seeing the location & the quality of the food you can't really complaint. must visit for the love of butter chicken.

Hospitable waiters assisted us with best menu suggestions. The Butter Kitchen located in front of Dmart, is really a great option for fine dine. The place is always occupied as most of the family prefer fine dine than partying. So we started digging in, first served was mock tails, A Hyderabadi Mojito and Basil queen, quiet refreshing and great. Veg and Non veg starters look quiet good and tasted really well. We Kadappa Murg Tikka & Another thing I had was Hazarvi Kebab, another brilliant food, the kebab was very appetizing.
And The Best part of our main course was TheButter chicken which was Smooth And Tasty and A little bit Sweet and Delightful
In dessert we Have Jalebi with Rabdi which was Amazing and was Very Satisfying.

Today we have visited the butter kitchen Powai. The restaurant is located in the very plushie area of Kanjurmarg, Powai which is Hiranandani Garden. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The dishes we ordered were amazing. The service is little bit slow but the taste of food has covered everything. The ambience is lovely.
Talking about food,
Kodi Vepudu :
The chicken was so juicy and delicious. It was tasting very good and healthy. It was looking like a normal juicy kebab, however it very watery and perfectly cooked. Very soft and fine
Kadappa chicken Tikka :
Crispy chicken which was really very crispy and spicy. This is a real time spicy essential dish. The refreshing fancy flavour of lemon was causing great surprise with the fried chicken kebab.
Basil Queen :
The Colada, which is in peach green colour drink and topped with one corridor leave. First taste was milky and very mild in start but when the drink crosses from the throat after some time the overall mouth was very pleasant with mint-ness.
Virgin Mojito :
The orange drink was an Orange Mojito. A normal Mojito with orange drink.
Butter Chicken :
As usual everyone’s favourite and even my favourite the fabulous butter chicken gravy design with butter on the top and in the middle of the dish. Truly!! they had the perfection in making of the butter chicken. Lovely !!
Subz Miloni Handi :
Today even the veg was also making our very mood mind blowing. The taste is fabulous.

Situated in Hiranandani estate Powai, this restaurant is easily accessible.
Though the entrance might look compact and small but once you move to upstairs where the actual restaurant is setup, you will be amazed.
Pretty cool, relaxed ambience with comfortable seating.
They specialise in serving food from around the states in india. So do not forget to explore.
We ordered:
♦️Virgin Hydrabadi mojito - citrus mojito with base of orange, and tinge of spiciness. Was very good.
♦️Basil queen - Kind of basic flavoured creamy concoction which was very refreshing.
♦️Murg chaas ka shorba - Loved it. Delicate tanginess of buttermilk paired beautifully with mild spices. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Hazarvi kebab - Perfectly cooked and seasond chicken kebabs which was full of flavours and very tender. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Kodi vepudu - Telangana speciality medium spicy chicken fry with tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves. The only downside was it had bones. Otherwise it was perfect in all aspects.
♦️Awadhi murg handi - Delicately flavoured awadh delicacy was so creamy, with beautiful masalas which had prominent flavour of brown fried onion. Paired beautifully with butter naan. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Jalebi rabdi - Very thin crispy fried hot jalebis drizzed with creamy rabdi can never go wrong. The best part was it was not overly sweet. Highly recommended 👍
♦️Moong dal halwa - Can have it anytime of the day, it's so good. Perfect balance of ghee, sugar, zafran. Texture was also good. The addition of almonds and pista added to the crunch.
Overall we had a pleasant experience.
