Swami the nice place to try dosa and pavbhaji at goregoan . I tried the rava dosa and Paneer cheese malai and mysore masala dosa and pavbhaji.Dosa are good to taste They serve red chutney., coconut chutney and awsum sambhar. I will give pavbhaji 3.5/5 and rava dosa 4/5 and paneer cheese malai dosa 3/5 and mysore masala dosa 4/5. Service of hotel crowded but well manage. Price is nearby their competitor.

A suggestion from my side is that, you should order basic dosa more like Sada dosa rava dosa rather than Gini dosa. I didn't like Gini dosa and panner chilli as compared to the dads dosa

Swami is located on the sv road and it does not have alot of sitting place so it has sitting area on the food path kind of place with all plastic chairs etc.... The food is still good I would recommend to have pav bhaji or any other snack to try

Swami Fast food is a south Indian food joint on the S. V. Road at Goregaon west. To reach there you have to hire an autorickshaw from Goregaon Station and go to’Jawahar Nagar’ along S. V. Road, towards Jogeshwari. On the S. V. Road you’d find the Swami Hotel.
This Hotel is a very small hotel. There are only 4 tables so you have to be lucky. Mostly people take the food parcels here so it doesn’t matter much. The food is just excellent here. The quantities are huge. The Sambhar they provide is just more than enough for your dish. Medu Wada, Masala Dosa are hot favourite items here. They make Dosas on almost 3 feet pan. It is awesome to just watch that to. The prices are still worth and make you feel content.
A must visit if you are a south indian food lover.

1. Jinni dosa- consists of loads of cheese & various vegetables like capsicum, cabbage, onions, carrots, had a dash of schezwan sauce & other spices 😍 totally lip-smacking . The chutney is amazing in taste & the Sambhar is on the spicer side & is served piping hot. Absolutely brilliant 😍
2. CENT PERCENT MUST HAVE- PANEER PULAV- this has a genuine amount of paneer absolutely amazing accompanied with vegetables raita (onions, cucumber, tomatoes) & roasted papad!
3. Cheese Pav Bhaji- the best part about pav bhaji is that it's not overly liquid & the consistency is genuinely well! I loved the taste!
Order the garlic chutney - charged extra but worth ordering!
4. Masala Papad: Fried Papad topped with some finely chopped onions, tomatoes, chat masala, chilli powder & coriander. It was crunchy & TBH there's no replacement of this food item :P
The best part about this place is the food items aren't overly dominated by the masalas! the spices weren't over powering the taste & you can sense the taste of dish!

Found good reviews of this place so went to try there food , we ordered cheese burst dosa and veg sandwich. Wow this dosa was just amazing so delicious, tempting cheese and very good stuffing of vegetables, the sambar chutneys were perfect, taste was awesome. Sandwich was also very good. Little space to sit but I think they arrange sitting outside during nights. Helpful staff and good service , very good experience.

It was the best Onion Rava Sada Dosa I've ever eaten. I asked for it to be crisp - and they sent it exactly like that. The sambhar was perfect too.
They also sent two other chutneys with it- which is great. I did not like the orange garlic chutney but the green coconut chutney was decent.

Cheesy bust 😍, isko khane k Baad I felt Cheese bas🙏.There is nothing bad in it, so this something Swami has recently added in their menu. It has looooots of cheese and the stuffing inside is also good, my sequence on ordering food wrong bcoz of which I felt it was too heavy to finish it. So overall it is good to try.
The humble place with 15 sittings inside and 30 sittings outside serve over 200 varieties of Dosa. If you taste any Dosa from this place, it'll be dire situation for you to try the same Dosa in other places later!
If you're planning to visit the place in weekend, make sure you keep 2 hours in buffer, as waiting is long during weekends. And during weekdays it's quite prompt service available.

Visited SWAMY yesterday on 28th Nov in the evening.we wanted to have south indian snacks as we had a movie show in the nearby moviestar at 735,wo v checked Zomato n found this place.
A very simple n a small place.we ordered 1 mysore masala n 1 onion rava sada dosa along with a fresh juice.
The dosas were just delicious n the chutneys( tomato n coconut) awesome.Sambhar was good too.The mysore masala was tasty n different in the sense that the masala was given separately.the juice was genuinely fresh.
We liked the food so much that v ordered one more masala dosa even though v were full.
Would definitely visit the place again n recommend others to go there too.
Expect it to be very simple with no AC.
The prices though were a bit high for the ambience n the size of the serving esp masala dosa was quite small.The glass for the juice was also a let down.I feel that with little attention to these suggestions they could really be a great and simple place to visit.

Swami is a small restaurant located on SV road serving South Indian dishes alongwith Pav bhaji and fruit juices. We come here especially to have dosas, idlis and medu Vadas. Mysore masala dosa was apt with a tasty masala and crispy dosa. We also ordered a sada dosa which was crispy but a bit too wet as a lot of butter was applied. Overall a good budget joint serving tasty south indian dishes. Would love to try cheese dosa next time as it seemed to have a lot of demand.

Used to visit there mostly on Saturday afternoon. Tried all their onion dosa and rava dosa varieties. Each time I used to have either coffee or juice with food.
Food is good and I used to drop there for food whenever I used to pass the area. Upon visiting early at the time of shop opening I found things used to move slow.
Located at main S V Road, the location is very much approachable.
Read this as 4.5 well, this was unexpected. I order cheese sandwich and Idli wada . the packaging looked good enough but teste was the most unexpected one. The sambhar chatni was good.

Swami is located right on SV Road, and it is hard to miss the place with people crowding outside on Sundays. The food here is great. This is my go to place for dosas, my favourite being the gini dosa which is loaded with cheese and like the other dosas served with tasty chutney. Swami also serves good tawa pulav. When it comes to MUMBAIYA style dosas, Swami is one of the better places out there. In case of most of the street food, the dosa seller's use dalda or cheap quality butter which leads to the formation of a layer of fats in your mouth which is something I don't like.

The stuffing is cooked on the dosa and served seperately. The stuffing is made from panner, cheese and Indian spices with right balance of flavours. Usually, whenever dosas have masala cooked on it, it makes them soggy. But here the dosas were crisp. Moreover you can order a sada dosa to go with the masala served seperately.

The masala here is made up of mixed veggies like capsicum, onions, tomatoes, etc. This too has decent flavours and topped with lots and cheese and cabbage (which looks like cheese).Here, the cheese is overpowering the taste.

Though it may come as a surprise, Their pav bhaji is one of the best 'red pav bhaji' in Mumbai. Better than most of the famous restaurants. Unlike other places who just add tons of tomatoes here it actually feels like the bhaji is well balanced with the right proportion of all vegetables and the right amount of spices. They are not shy with butter either. The pav are smuthered in butter.

You just ask them to make the dosa the way you prefer (soft or crisp).

I usually never expect much from a budget restaurant to serve mango shake made purely from Alphonso, but mango shake being my favourite and the season on verge of ending had to give it a try. I was surprised to discover that their shake was just spot on with perfect consistency and sweetness, topped with slices of mango. What more can one ask for?
Guys the red and the white chutney that they serve with the dosa is just amazing. The place is handled by Maharashtrian so I wasn't expecting the sambhar to be good, but to my surprise it was amazing too.

The place is small.. Though they have maintained sitting arrangements very well inside as well as outside, outside during peak days. They have varieties of Dosa's you should try Cheese Malai Paneer Dosa, Kerala Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Pahadi Paneer Dosa, Pizza Dosa and the list goes on. Staff is cooperative and helpful. They also serve Pav Bhaji in which again they gave varieties like Paneer Pav Bhaji which is good to go. Their Tawa Pulao is okish. You should mainly go there for Dosa as they have varieties in it and they also have topical taste of South Indian chutney and their serve in the plate upon leaf of banana. Decided to embark on this journey to try fusion dosa’s at cluster of places in Mumbai and came across this joint from a recommendation given on an Instagram reel.
1) Open Dosa (🌟🌟🌟🌟):
This is their hot selling item along with Pahadi Paneer dosa and I was always curious to uncover what the texture and flavours of the filling in open dosa would be, so gave it a shot. Its loaded with cheese and a lot of filling which is predominantly made of onion, capsicum and tomatoes. Its quite similar to the Gini roll but also not exactly the same. You can savor this delectable dosa as it has a great punch in their filling. And when combined with their red chutney, this just raises the bar of your dining experience
2) Ganga Jamuna (🌟🌟🌟🌟):
A no nonsense juice which was quite refreshing and made to perfection.
The overall service was quite mediocre.

One of the best south indian food restaurants in Mumbai. Though they serve a lot of fusions in dosas but you will love them all. My favorites here are Jini dosa, Cheese burst dosa, Open dosa and pahadi dosa. Along with dosas you can also try Paav bhaji and tava pulav which are also value for money in taste.
The price is also very reasonable
The service during peak hours will be slow as the kitchen seems to be small. Also there will be waiting during time so plan accordingly.
Car parking can be problematic at times so try your luck on the opposite side or around the restaurant.
Have been here a few times now, the standard of food had dropped but its back and improved now. Good varieties of Dora's.. the idli was also nice. The additionnof pav bhaji stall to the place adds on to the experience. Try the chutney pav. Its supper yum that we gobbled them down before we could even click a picture of it. We tried the ginni dosa which was good, the pahadi dosa was a heavy one with loads of panner and spring onion greens...the classic onion uthappa with loaded chilly and cooked to crisp up...was made just as we like it the best 👌

There are lots of varieties in Dosas from jain to normal. Taste of chutneys( red and yellow) are too good. It has a unique taste of dosa. I have never eat this type of taste even before.

Recently visited Swami Dosa for dinner. They have more than 40+ varities in dosa and other south indian items. I have ordered Pahadi Panner Dosa based on staff's recommendation as I was craving for panner with yummy gravy options. Trust me it was so delicious and yummy in taste. Panner and Palak combination was so good that it looks so tempting and taste much better than your imagination. Along with that they serve coconut and tometo chutney and both of them are so thick in consistency. Sambhar was also taste like typical south indian and best part is that it is unlimited. I surely suggest everyone to visit this place if you are fan of South indian food.

They got variety of dosa which is awsome and my suggestion is to go for Kerala Masala Dosa.
Also they kept apart from.dosa pav bhaji and tawa pulav with yummi fresh Juice which make your dinner complete.

Nothing like a fusion dosa!!! This place can beat any kind of fancy dosa with the weird combination they have in menu and still have the dosa taste in it. Every visit has been a great experience for me
Extreme crowded. Always had to wait for 20-30 minutes to get food, be it dine in or take away. However quality and taste is the best.
