Review Dwarka Veg Fine Dine - Mumbai

Prayag Pandya
Below is the update: For Starters we'd ordered :- Aloo corn tikki was without salt so had to return. Paneer sholey was awesome in taste. Khichya masala papad was crisp. But had less masala in it. However, the taste was good. For Main Course we'd ordered :- In Continental Dish:- Pasta , we'd tried Macaroni Pasta with Marinara sauce. Pasta was good In North Indian Dish:- We had asked for Dwarka special ( which was served after almost half an hour post ordering). However, the sabzi was awesome as far as taste is concerned. So it was worth the wait. This we'd ordered along with Butter roti (Not to mention that the roti was very soft). I would like to give this restaurant three point five stars just because ( point five star for non salty aloo tikki and one star for delay in service). Also, would like to mention that this visit was on Sunday (that too on mother's day). So might be because of this there was rush which may have caused delay in service. Would like to visit this restaurant once again to check if the service quality improves on a weekday. Had given the same feedback to the restaurant manager and was assured that on my next visit, the said issues would be resolved.

There are a lot of restaurants in the world of food, I feel that this is the perfect restaurant I have ever visited for veg multicuisine along with soft as well as hard drinks wherein one can relax and spend good quality time with friends and family. The restaurant also serves for a kids menu here and have a lot of variety of signature dishes. The Place Dwarka Veg Rest-o-Bar is a pure veg milticusine casual dining restaurant located in Borivali West which is just 5 mins away from Borivali Railway Station. The place is really exclusive and has a great ambiance with great and polite service. I was glad to have a meal here with listening melodious music in background. The restaurant offers variety of food items which provide good amount of quality and quantity. The indian, mexican, chinese, thai, italian and even french cuisines are just dwelling towards you. What We Had : • Soups & Starters 1. Sweet Corn Soup Tasty & Hot sweet Corn Soup with lovely chopped veggies into it. 2. Masala Papad Crispy Papad with chopped tomato, onion and coriender with spice and masala. 3. Chili Mili Kebab Hara Bhara kebab rolls with spinach, paneer and masala served with spicy pudina chatni. 4. French Fries Finely chopped poptato fries served with raita type sauce. 5. Bombay Grill Sandwich Grilled sandwich with veggies and tasty chatni. • Main Course 1. Shyam Savera Palak Kofta stuffed with paneer and creamy gravy. 2. Bhindi Fry Pan Tossed Bhendi served with coriender leaves garnished onto it. 3. Butter Kulcha Kulcha made of soft maida called as Indian Bread with colounge seeds and butter and coriender leaves onto it. • Mocktails 1. Virgin Mojito A coolant with lemon, mint and ice with pure, typical taste of lime juice as well. I must recommend this place to you all to enjoy casual and beautiful dining moments. Really an absolute cozy place to be in. Ratings will be : Ambiance 5/5 Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Value For Money 5/5 Recommended 5/5 Hygiene 5/5

The restaurant food was good to taste, neatly presented and properly served. This is a fine dine Veg restaurant with a bar. So all those who don't like people having liquor around them, this may not be the place. We were here for the food part. We started with Wanton soup. The soup was decent but there was scope for improvement. For starters, we had Paneer Pahadi. This dish was good. For the main course we had Shyam Savera with Roti and lachcha Paratha. Both were fine. They also offer Jain options in food. The ambiance is decent, dim lit as the focus is on the "bar" part of the place. Seating is comfortable. Staff was polite and had a relatively decent pace of serving food. Here also there is scope for improvement. They accept cards as a payment option. There is a free Valet service, even though there doesn't seem to be any dedicated parking space, not sure where they park. * There is almost no network on the inside part of the restaurant, so opt for the outer side if you are expecting calls, if you want to avoid calls the other way round. Now for all those who stayed in Borivali for 25-30 years, they know the predecessor to current restaurant. That restaurant was famous for serving very good South Indian dishes. There is no South Indian menu in the current version, so be ready for that. All in all a decent outing but I went there with the picture of old restaurant, so slightly disappointed. If you are looking out for Veg only bar restaurant then this might be the place.

Good Veg restaurant with variety of menu. Decent pricing not at all costly. Service staff very nice. 2nd visit and same experience.

Good restaurant is located nicely near Borivali station, valet parking is available, we tried the tandoori platter which was good, the two main dish that we had were had a very similar gravy hence they taste almost identical, they have a good range of liquor available with cocktails and mocktails for people who want to have a non alcoholic drink. We tried the virgin mojito and cranberry surprise both were good.

Ambience and food is awesome but if you are taking left over it will not be the same as much as Left..

This is hands down the best vegetarian food in town! Beautiful decor and professional staff. We used to love to visit when we were kids back in the 80's. This is the original Dwarka that was famous for its south Indian and Punjabi food, and we had lots of fond memories here as kids! We are so happy that the owners decided to reopen the restaurant. The new place and concept is as fabulous as before. Great job guys and welcome back!!!

Its a nice place to hangout with friends. The interiors are done up well. The seating is a bit odd but worth the price. The food ia delicious and quantity is perfect. We tried their chicken kebabs and prawns biryaani, let me tell you that it was fantabulous. The waiters and staff and polite and not very pushy like in other places. They have a separate family dining area as well.

The place is cozy. The food quality and taste is good. However, the quantity is less. The location is apt, near station. So you have good transport to and fro the hotel. Also there is good waiting area.

I love the ambiance of this particular restaurant. It has beautiful interior. I had ordered dosa and they served in an inverted come shape. Sambhar and chutney were mouth watery. Their dal kichadi is also delicious.

I have been here and also ordered food taste is good as well as the quality. It has great ambiance and perfect place to visit with family.

If you have enough time to wait for bad food you have found the place congrats... we tried lemon corriender soup n Tom yum soup starter Cheese corn ball - was good Some panner starter - pathetic Sabzi veg tawa n palak lasooni Cheese Nan Garlic cheese stuffed Nan And some other things not worth mentoning... everything from start to end extremely disappointing All in all spent 2k, spoilt sunday afternoon family lunch...

This was my second visit and the food quality has gone down to a great extent. Unfortunately even the service was slow despite of the less crowd..

Great food should try Chinese platters rather than tandoori platters

The ambience is excellent. But the staff is not so polite. Moreover, we had to wait so long for the food. The food is so tasteless. Even they did not peel the garlic. And the rates are high. So dissatisfied and disappointed.
Have been there twice, initial visit was for the Thai Curry with Rice, totally loved the taste of it which reinforced Me to celebrate my Bday Brunch there with Fam. The Chinese Starters here in the pic are one of the Kind, have not tasted ones like these in quite some time.

Tried this place once for takeaway. The person who took our order did not even let me check the menu and started suggesting dishes.
Portion size was good. Taste was average - not great not bad types. Good for casual dining with family and friends.

It's one of the old restaurants in borivali but they have very great ambience due to the recent renovation. The staff really treats you well and the rates are also pretty reasonable. They have all types of cuisines from North to South indian, Chinese to Continental. My favorites are paneer butter masala, triple schezwan rice and manchow soup. Overall a really good place to visit. They also provide candle light dinners on Thursdays.

So Sunday afternoon I had planned lunch for my nephew's first birtjday and on Saturday I confirmed him a section of their hotel for 16 people. They said they have a party but it shall get over by 1.00 pm so I told my guests to come by 1.30-2.00 so that they get time to clean and all. Infact i called sunday morning to reconfirm they said yes don't worry its confirmed. The moment we reached the place at 1.30 the party was not yet over infact they were having starters and when we asked them they said we never commited it will be over by 1. After lot of arguements we decided to sit in outside section for starters and then we can move to a seperate section for main course. My guests were hungry waiting and it was my nephew's 1st birthday it was becoming more annoying because it was already 3 pm. After some time other party peeps came to us and told us sorry but it was not thier fault it was management's fault to give same hall to 2 different people for lunch. We finally got the table at 3.30 and we were told to order before 4.00 as Indian kitchen closes at 4.00. Our guests couldn't eat much as it was super late and there was food leftover.
Super duper disappointment it was my nephew's first bday very special for all of us and i cannot tell my guests to travel and go to different restaurant when this was already booked.
I visited this place on 15th aug so was dry day nyc ambience all the food item were great u shld definitely try malaysian kebab the waiter suggested me that dish overall good experience simple restaurant nothing special but good restaurant for family n friends. They play old songs kind of like 80s.
The waiters are ready to serve you happily

Service 4/5
Food 4/5
Ambience 3/5

Ambience - 4/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5

We ordered Manchow soup and Malaysian Seekh kebab.
Manchow soup was nice(specially the fried noodles served with it were fresh and cripy). Malaysian Seekh Kebab was good. It was a kebab made of veggies and then roasted and grated cheese added on it. Non oily and non spicy tasty dish.
Special mention: Ahmed was really nice and friendly, served us well. Thankyou

Prefer soups and starters over maincourse? This is the place.
* Burnt garlic soup is the best soup they serve(as experienced so far) another soup which we had ordered was suggested by the person takings orders. It was Mix exotic soup or something.. wasn't bad though.
* Amongst the starters we had ordered Mushroom chilly(chinese starter with mushrooms covered in sauces and the chilles) and Mushroom multani(tandoor mushrooms stuffed with cheese) a must try!
* American choupsey was a nightmare! Tined pineapple was smelling like an egg yolk and the entire choupsey was ruined because of the same. Also was too sweet.
* Burnt garlic rice was good as the garlic and the sauces were nicely blended and hence they gave justice to the name and taste!
* Ambience was good and comfy. They also serve liquour and arrange for candle light dinners!

Food: 3/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Wowsomelicious
We entered late on an odd day to this pure veggie restaurant and experienced the best service we could ever imagine. Picked few unusual names from the menu and all tasted well. Ambience was bit shady (management probably turned off high powered lights to save electricity). They serve alcohol as well.

We tried paneer khurchan as suggested by the staff n it was delicious. Black dal was also yum. The double espresso martini cocktail was good. Nice food, nice experience
Tanmay
It is good restaurant. Their thalis are one the dishes that you must give a try. Also do try the different types of biryani and vegetables ( Paneer tikka masala, veg Kolhapuri etc.)

DWARKA Veg Resto bar is quite close to Borivali station. It is a pure veg restaurant.

FOOOOD FIRST!!!
1. CHEESE TOAST SANDWICH- this literally had dry toasted bread and cheese in between. The cheese wasn’t the one in the melted form but powdery dry one. Bad.

2. SIMPLY VEGGIE PIZZA- I never hated any form of pizza being a pizza lover. But this one was not at all good. Except the cheese pull, the toppings had no taste at all.

3. MANCHURIAN DRY- this one was good. Spicy with chilly and capsicum with onion. Machurian balls were also good.

4. VEG NOODLES- Plain Jane. I actually liked this dish. simple and kind of bland with veggies in it especially the mild Chinese and spring onion smell. My friends didn’t like it at all. So for people who don’t prefer plain noodles should opt for schezwan noodles. But I prefer this one!

NOW EVERYTHING ELSE!!
This restaurant also has a bar. So it has dim lightings. Sofas and interior is good. Service is also quick. But I usually prefer non vegetarian restaurant. for a change went here since my friends were vegetarian. Overall, even they didn’t enjoy the food much. Also, it’s a bit expensive and not worth. Visiting again? I don’t think so.

If you are looking for pure veg with bar then its the right place near to station with good ambience. Its a very good place to chill out with friends n the food is also Good.
They also have happy hour before 7 pm which gives a good savings
This is a quaint little place best suited for family lunches and dinners. I was here a couple of days back.

Ambience: Very typical of a resto-bar. Simple and decent.

Food: All the food that we called for was mediocre. Nothing so great or bad. Simple food with fancy names. Though the taste could be improved upon!

Service: Service was good and prompt.

Hd ordered some schezwan style starters, schezwan noodles..the food was nice. The food is overpriced nd the bottle beverages r too highly prices otherwise everything was gud !!

At times i wonder, how do restaurants retain their legacy for decades together. One such restaurant is Dwarka that exists for almost 4decades now.

Food :- 5/10
Paneer quality was average. Food was generally oily. The Kurmure Kebab was virtually tasteless. And the Caramel Custard was pathetic. All main course dishes tasted almost the same. The cheese garlic naan included in the Starters was just so so basic and dry, and barely had cheese or garlic in it.
The good thing is that they serve alcohol.

Service :- 9/10
The saving grace is the quick staff. The staff was pro active and warm. It is tough to find such good staff that interact well.

Ambience :- 7/10
Comfortable seating. Simple decor.

Value for Money :- 6/10
Since the food didn't really taste great, I'm not sure if i felt it was worth the penny i paid.

Happy VegDrinkery to You.

I am not a veg lover when it comes to dining out. But if I want to get a bit different than the usual Non-veg. Dwarka is THE place for vegetarians.

The food awesome! The service is good. I mostly prefer having the Punjabi Thali! It comes with everything I want and I won't even ask for more. The quantity is great for 1 guy per thali.

Chinese being served here is also comparable to some nice chinese outlets. And since its a veg resto, snacks are above average!
It has amazing fast food plus South Indian food... taste and quality is very good... it has many types of food speciality too...delicious pav bhaji...and if you go to this place you got to try curd rice it is mouth watering food...

Tiny and not so good place to be in..the place doesn’t have a really good ambience..it’s okok types..
But I guess the food and staff are seriously not up to the mark!!
Service is sooo slow!! I mean it took so long for each dish to come..and everything had excess of salt!!!
Team Dwarka you need to give your staff a very much required pep talk!! The speed of service & the staff both need to buck up!!
It was really a not so good experience..can’t actually recommend someone this place!! There is a serious need for the staff & the management to work on!!

Why ambience is not considered as positive . I didn’t find any negative in it , services was also nice. Chilly paneer dry and matka Biryani wAs ultimate. However waiter was asked a question that whack Biryani he is serving when we had ordered matka Biryani. Manager was kind enough to rectify the mistake . It was nice to be here. Bar is not that costly. Bar menu is attached herewith .

It’s been years that Dwarka has been by family’s weekend dinner restaurant! The Veg Crispy in Starters and a great variety of main course is just our favourite! Great service and it’s rewarded by Customer satisfaction! Thank you for your service Dwarka 🙏🏻

This place is quite good for comfortable dining. Also the food quality is good. But, always a good quality demands a good pricing. So overall, I would recommend this place for people looking for a comfortable and dining environment with rich quality food in Borivali West.

A perfect family restaurant for my family which is nearby to my house and also very near to Borivali station. Elegant ambience and hospitality and me and my family always prefer North Indian food here and end up with Dal Khichdi which is my favourite and super delicious😍. I would suggest that it is a perfect veg restaurant for family dining.

Been there with family for dinner on weekday. Food quality was awesome. Service was good. Would love to come back again. Variyali - Elaichi juice was too good. Thank you,

This place is located at Borivali west just near station which is a prime location. It is a classic fine dine that serves pure veg food. Ambiance is elegant and the seat is comfortable and spacious.

Food we had
- Tom yum soup
- Margherita Pizza
- paneer chilli
- cheese corn ball
The pizza was a let down. Base was soggy and cheese wasn't melted properly. Tom yum soup was spicy but it's taste was good. Paneer chilli was good. Paneer pieces were succulent. Cheese corn ball was a miss.
Also the prices are on the steep side.

Taste - 3/5
VFM - 2/5
Ambience - 4/5

The place is located at very prime location , just 2 minute walking from railway station. Overall experience is quite decent. Quality of food is good , but you want get something new or extra which makes you visit this place again.

Quantity is very less , and rate is slightly expensive.

Ambiance is good, quite place to enjoy food.

Every year on Diwali, it's a self made tradition in my family that we go out for dinner to some restaurant. We had heard a lot about Dwarka so decided to visit there.

The ambience was too good with the soothing music playing in the background. We had ordered 2 sabjis:Paneer Laziz & Veg Handi and 1 Dal Tadka along with Butter Naans and Butter Rotis. Food was simply delicious !

The price range of Dwarka is moderate and pocket friendly. I will give full marks for hospitality. Inspite of being so busy on the day of Diwali and handling so many orders, the staff was very polite and helpful. Kudos..keep it up !

However, I feel that there is a need to improve the quantity of food served. Inspite of ordering 2 sabjis and 1 Dal , it was not sufficient for a family of 4. It's a Veg Fine-dine but there are some license issues so hard-drinks were not available.

Concluding the review, I would say that I will definitely suggest all my friends to visit Dwarka along with their families ! Its a nice Family restaurant
This rating is just for food... Ambience is good...Food quality is good...but quantity is very less...n price is hyped... We had to wait for almost for an hour after ordering food... Service is poor...need to improve...overall experience is okok...not as compared to Veg treat...

Updated review,

My childhood favorite food - Paneer tikka masala with butter naan 😍
Venue : Dwarka Veg Rest - O -Bar
.
.
.
I would advise you to be careful of your cell phone. I recently lost my phone there. Assumably I "forgot" but I did check my seat immediately after I got up and there was no sight of my phone so I didn't doubt it thinking I kept it in my bag and went ahead with my chores.I realised that I lost my phone after hours but I was cent percent sure of where it would be so I called the restaurant they said any phone isn't been given to the main desk yet and genuinely took my number to give me updates. But thanks to Googles - Find my phone I saw my phone was around the hotel area and was sure where to go search for it. So I immediately went to that restaurant and when I sternly asked for manager to that the staff who was tending me came and the minute I told that I kept my phone (which I thought I did) he removed my phone from his pocket and gave me. Seeing this the guy who was behind the restaurant's phone started yelling at the staff and threatened to tell the owner, to which he said he was busy working and didn't realize to give phone at counter, I felt bad for the guy and I insisted to not yell at him as it would be a mistake and to not complain about him to their seniors. Also I aked the guy why he didn't picked he said he was busy and I was too freaked out that I didn't ask any more questions and I left.
But after coming home I started thinking on it and realised
1. I had checked my seat after getting up.
2. That guy was freakishly close to me while cleaning up
3. My phone was not on silent and it rang also the find my phone app made it ring. There were 8 miscalls and Google rang for 4 times.
4. He kept pressing the volume key instead of picking up.
.
.
.
I am not saying this cause I want to bad mouth the restaurant. It no doubt served good food. But at this place you need to be extra careful and make sure your phone is always where you can see it.
.
.
.
.
Old review -

This place has decent vegetarian food. Not too fancy but of a decent quality. The interiors and service is good too. But it's kind of expensive for having just a decent quality and quantity food. There are cheaper alternatives just around it.

We had ordered paneer tikka masala and veg maharaja.
Paneer tikka was good and maharaja was even better than paneer tikka. Naan was a bit harder
Food-4/5
Ambience-3.5/5
Service-4/5
Except for the location n ambience the hotel offers nothing..the food is not worth the price we pay..quantity was a joke.. taste was below avg.. starter was avg but nt appetising at all..2 plain naan wr 2 dry crispy naan and 3 spoons of sabji was all it offered for a price of 600+

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Went last month for dinner, Just ordered starter and noticed plates were not cleaned properly, there was small spider on my plate.
I called waiter but meanwhile spider went away, the waiter didn't know what spider is.
Have asked manager but he didn't respond properly.

Expectations Sucks. I did not expect such a slow service. We have not enjoyed àt all. I will not visit next time, people always hate to wait in the hotel while eating. Quantity, quality and service wise it 1 out of 10.

new restaurant in dis mch big in competitive area ,so i just suggest my frnds n we dedecided to try, Waitng area is quite good covering big place thn we went inside hoteal der wz little mismanagement for seatng arrangements as if thy wz not aloowing us to seat at big tabel that very ridiculous, then we found family area as one waiters suggested us n that wz quite amazing area n nyc ambitious n nw come for main thing food, i suggest restaurant manager too work more on food teast u have to be very mch competitive for that as if in area like borivali ppl are more foodie n u ve opened in amazing place in Gujarati area n thy love food n thy dnt compromise for teast so do hard work for that if u wish for customer loyalty .all d best 👍
Food-2.5/5
ambitious- 4.5/5
Services -3.5/5

Located at a quick walking distance from Borivali station in the west, Dwarka is a very spacious, pure vegetarian, air-conditioned restaurant with nice instrumental music playing in the background, serving Italian, Chinese and North Indian cuisines.

My friend and I were here for a sort of brunch and began with Fries that were crisp however lacked salt. They were served with a dip that had a base of yogurt and onion which went well with the fries. Avoid the ketchup/tomato sauce in the bottle, it doesn't taste good at all.

Next we had the Stuffed Cannelloni that was good enough for two people. The pasta sheet had a creamy spinach filling topped with cheese and tomato salsa that tasted good. The Cannelloni was accompanied by two pieces of garlic bread that had become very soggy as they were partly laid in the cheesy gravy. They could take precautions to either serve it separately or with due care since the garlic bread was not even toasted.

We ended on a Virgin Blue Lagoon as the dessert options were the usual ones which fail to impress me anymore. The mocktail was a bit too sweet but I enjoyed it nevertheless.

It's a normal restaurant which doesn't burn your pockets with the new-era service charges and the non-inclusive VAT and service taxes. INR 650 for the above was a good deal for us. Ideal for a meal with your family and friends!

No great taste, inefficient service. Old food in new cutlery. Ordinary ambience. Waiting time during early days of restaurant was pretty high even on week nights. Not worth.

Not worth visiting specially for jain food atlest, the quantity they serve is too less, and i have ordered a punjabi sabji, the gravy was too thin... I would not recommend anyone to visit their. Improvement are much needed by the chief and staff.

We go out n spend money to eat bcos...We want something great, not the usuals, I am highly disappointed by the service and food, quantity was too less, and no one was bothered to even look at the customers, service is pathetic. Would never like to visit the same place again

I ordered the following

Starter : great combination of spinach and paneer Chinese style. Would highly recommend this.
Crispy spinach Paneer

Main course
Veg lajawab - dissappointed, did not have enough flavours and simply felt like it's homemade. I will not recommend you to try this.

Bread- not recommended
butter garlic naan and roti- how can someone get butter garlic naan wrong, was not at all soft and was crispy like papad. Roti was also hard and not warm enough.

Overall ambience and service was decent but food was pathetic.

Ronak Gala Cuber
The food is not that good service is damn slow the place is good and hygiene but if the food wont taste good then all the efforts are waste. I had been there on a week day if at all it was a weekend then we can understand but being a weekday they cant serve properly then its a waste of money

Sir, Food quality is very OK, we order Thread Panner and its not at all up to my expectation it was so hard that at the end we left two pieces. quality of Panner Laziz is also not acceptable only Masala papad is good. if comparing with DWARKA Shimpoli its very disappointing, Even Zuppa da Broccoli soup is not upto the mark. sorry for such review but need to work on sir.
Ankit Kadali
The food served at this fine dine is way below average. Today i ordered north indian cusine: veg Lajawab. The curry didnt meet the standards at all. I therefore couldnt gather courage to order rice ahead. Not recommended. No place to park your vehicle too. Service extremely slow.

Visited this place when it was recently opened. For those unawares, Dwarka has made a comeback. There was this same hotel at same place quite a few years ago. And they have come out good. Revamped interiors is great (cant miss the Krishna's pics). The menu is decent and the rates are reasonably prices. Worth spending quality family time here :)

If there was a negative rating would have given that also. Pathetic portion size of food. They took too much time to bring in the food even the starters took more than 20 mins to come. After that the quality of the food was worst u do get even after considering road side food. When we complained about this the management said we will replace this and started laughing.
I don't know till what time this outlet would be here. But I would suggest everyone to avoid this place if u do want to ruin ur evenings or events
