Review Shalom Rooftop Bar & Kitchen - Mumbai

Don't visit this place in the afternoon for trying out their Chinese food because that cuisine starts after evening <- that is my personal experience. Coming to ambiance they provide indoor as well as outdoor seatings, both side seatings are really comfortable. +point of indoor is ac whereas outdoor has got a cactus plant too. I would recommend you to try Asian Alliance in drinks- it has got a pineapple vodka blend and a 5/5presentation too.... In food i recommend- Try out their fish fingers, basa fish and cheese covered with crispy breadcrumbs. Quesadillas- from the places i tried till date this place had the best fillings of quesadillas. Filled with refried beans, onions and bell peppers- this one has got a smokey Grilled flavour. In Desserts, we need to disturb chef for the same- When i visited they had paan cheesecake and chocolate bomb. Paan cheesecake combination attracted me- it has got a dominant paan flavour at the top and came in a matka.l, where as speaking about chocolate bomb- I've a sweet tooth but then too it was over sweet for me. A +.5 from me for their ambiance and service.

Visited this place in the late evening it was not that crowded and we were the only people there. The ambience of the place was very beautiful, it has a indoor as well as a outdoor sitting where they serve sheesha. We had ordered the Nachos and chickenSSS. Both the dishes tasted good and did not disappoint. The cost is on a higher side but the place is worth visiting. It has a age limit for entry after a particular time so need to check before visiting.

New Place Alert! Chembur has a new destination to party and groove - Shalom. It is a rooftop bar and kitchen located on 6th floor. One can locate it easily via Maps. The place has an indoor as well as outdoor seating. Lights are dim which is usually the case in any lounge. Outdoor seating is also comfortable as they have air blowers to keep the area cool. They have enough space to accommodate large groups and parties. Indoor has a bar section and DJ console just besides it. Enough space between tables to dance and they also can move tables if required. It begins with English music and as the night proceeds, changes to Bollywood and Punjabi music. Music is played as per crowds request too. Talking first about the drinks, primarily mocktails that we tried at Shalom - Cucumberino is a refreshing drink which has a combination of cucumber and coriander. Those who like cucumber in their drink should go for this one, also they have a similar drink in signature cocktails - Bracing Afternoon a recommended one based on Gin and cucumber. Next we tried Strawberry Colada which was a blend of strawberry, pineapple juice and coconut cream similar to Pina Colada but in strawberry flavour. I personally love Pina Colada so I really liked the drink. It was presented in an attractive unqiue glass. We also tried the Orange Basilico which is currently not in the menu - a mix of Orange juice and fresh Basil leaves served on the rocks. A good mix for those who like orange juice. Last but not the least a mention for signature cocktail Asian Alliance a vodka based drink with fresh Pineapple Juice, Jaggery, Kaffir Lime and Spanish Bitters. A nice fusion drink where Thai flavours meet Indian. I didn't try this personally but heard from others who tried it, was nice. We first started with soup. Tried the Minestrone and Roasted Tomato Basil Soup. Both were nice but of the two would definitely recommend Minestrone. Tomato based Vegetable Soup with Ligurian Pesto and Parmesan. Broth was thick and rich in texture and equally good in taste. Other soup was also good where tomatoes were roasted in oven and then flavoured with basil leaves. We were in the mood to try a lot more starters since we had gone in a big group. We had Arancini Balls, Nachos Overloaded, Chimichanga, Kung Pao Potatoes and Bruschetta Di Fungi. My personal favorites in order of preference would be Nachos Overloaded, Kung Pao Potatoes and Chimichanga. Nachos has Salsa sauce, Sour Cream and Cheese sauce on top. Quantum of all these sauces is sufficient to finish the tortilla chips. Kung Pao Potatoes at Shalom at Potato Wedges marinated with Sweet Chilly Sauce, Soy and Spring Onion. Chimichanga is deep fried tortillas with veggies, onions and bell peppers. Arancini are rice balls topped with classic arrabiata sauce. Bruschetta Di Fungi is Crostini topped with Cheese Cream and Wild Mushrooms. Moving to the mains, we tried Cottage Cheese Steak, Mexican Rice and Paneer Tikka Focaccia. I personally liked all of them but in the same order of preference. Cottage Cheese Stake was Cojun Grilled Cottage Cheese sauteed in Mustard Sauce. Mexican Rice was Vegetable Rice with Kidney Beans mixed with spicy sauce. It had a nice tangy flavour to it. One who is fond of Mexican cuisine will definitely like this main course. Focaccia bread with Shredded Paneer Tikka and lettuce as stuffing. It is served with home fries - ketchup and Mint Mayo. Felt the bread to be a little on the dry side. Finally moving to the Desserts, Shalom doesn't have any in-house desserts yet, all of them are outsourced. We tried Chocolate Bomb, Paan Cheesecake and Tiramisu. For me, my personal favorite has to be Paan Cheesecake adequate amount of Gulkand not too sweet, just perfect for me. Followed by Chocolate Bomb, though it had less of liquid hot chocolate within the the Bomb. A good overall experience at Shalom, nice evening, great food, great drinks, fantastic music! Would definitely recommend all to visit this place if in or visiting Chembur.

A very beautiful and stylish place. There are 2 sections- terrace and inner part. The inner area has beautiful lighting and good music. What i had- Mocktails- - Strawberry Colada- Yummm... Highly Recommended!! - Mango Fizz- Good! Cocktails- - Whisky Sour- Okish - - Caipiroska- Was good. Starters- - Cheese Poppers - Tasty -Pesto Chicken- Okish.. was bland.. - Cajun Grilled Prawns- Delicious and nicely grilled prawns.. Mains - Spicy Cottage Cheese Pizza- Good! - Singapore Rice- Dint like it at all... Dessert- - Sizzling Brownie- Yumm - Paan Cheesecake- Perfect Ending to our meal!!

Chembur keeps surprising us with some superb places and we got lucky on a Sunday Eve to spent some quality family time at this cool place . Let's take you on our experience out here Appetizers : Overloaded Nachos : Nachos Lover? If yes then you definitely can't miss out on this grand appetizer of the outlet . Arancini Balls : We aren't a big fan of Arancini balls however after long time we decided to give it a try out here and it really turned up to be a great dish especially with the luscious sauce served along side . Veg Chimichanga : This is more of a spring roll kind of dish which we enjoyed being fond of Chinese Cuisine . Winter time is egg time for a hardcore eggetarian like me . So at the verge of winter beginning to set in I decided to try the following two egg dishes our here . Eggs Akuri : Indeed a wonderful Parsi Speciality served out here . The Bhurji style egg is definitely a must try for all you egg fanatics out there. Only one suggestion will be to make the pav more buttery . Egg & Cheese Omelette This one the rock star egg dish of the eve and gave an ultimate kick start to my favourite season of Savouring eggs . Veg Mains : Eggs do get heavier so we ended up ordering just one mains from their veg section : Cottage Cheese Steak : This too is heart winner . The balance of all spices is nicely soaked up by super soft Malai paneer . Adding much to the scrimmage of the dish are the tossed fresh exotic veggies . Dessert : Pan Cheese Cake : A wonderful dessert for all you pan lovers out there . Chocolate Bomb : If you are fond of Creamy sweet chocolate then this one is definitely at the top of the list when out here . Cocktails and Mocktails : Asian Alliance : A Thailand speciality with the freshness of pineapple to vodka . A perfect drink to set an awesome mood for the eve . Virgin Mojito : A classic mocktail at a classy place did well again. Overall a superlative experience and will definitely recommend this place as a must visit while in and around Chembur . Food: Roasted Tomato Basil Soup: Avg Hot & Sour Soup: Good Cheese Garlic Bread: Avg Veg Penne Al Pesto: Good Pizza Rustico: Good Paneer Bullet: Excellent Brownie: Excellent Service: Excellent. I ordered a dessert for my parent's anniversary and they presented it beautifully! Can check that in pics. Price: you might feel little overpriced as it is Chembur and not SOBO. Ambience: Its beautiful. Also the open terrace is worth a visit. Besides DJ's song selection is impressive. Washrooms are clean. Location/Parking: its easily detected in google maps and not very far away from Amarmahal. Parking is not a problem.

Brilliant place this. Awesome music, great setup, especially the roof top kind of layout is made eloquently. They also serve Hookah, if that's something you like. The food was good, won't say it was amazing, but definitely a Friday night out like place. Will definitely come here again if I get a chance.

This place needs to be visited by everyone looking for an alternative to the clichéd pubs/bars/restaurants. The vibe here is easy yet elegant - their interiors are superbly done and their outdoor seating actually makes sense when the weather is cool. Their DJs keep the energy of this place up. I'd like to give their food a special mention here. We tried the Grilled Fish Steak - fresh fish served with sauteed greens and served with a buttery sauce. The Cottage Cheese Steak is absolutely well made - seasoned with Cajun - this huge portion packed with proteins is served on a bed of sauteed mushrooms, babycorn, bell peppers. the Mac & Cheese is perfectly garnished with cilantro and served with garlic bread. The service is great too.

Ohhhh what an experience, truly amazing the ambiance, music dance food drinks everything upto the mark I enjoyed it thoroughly highly recommended.

The food is great. I wasn't expecting authentic Thai taste in India, but they have pretty much perfect Thai curry. The ambience is great. I don't prefer loud music, and when we reached the place, the music was pretty loud. Thankfully they have outdoor seating on the terrace which was perfect.

It was a very good experience. Went here just for some food but the ambience compelled us to drink some beer. The lights were super dim , it was chilly, live performance was too .good. They have Got sheesha as well. Place has a rooftop as well as covered AC seating. Staff is super polite and very helpful. They were even accepting zomato gold. Valet parking is also available. Food is too yummy, you all must try their : overloaded nachos, wok tossed mushrooms, and chicken satay.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation. The bar & dance floor area was nice and open. They also have a open terrace space which is a very good place to relax and meet friends. Overall had a great experience here.

A place that makes you feel that you arent in india but actual Morocco. Extensive food menu with refreshing cocktails. A place that you would want to come often. We all love restaurants which gives us good vibes 😍... Explored one such restaurant located at Chembur. "Shalom" truly gives you GOOD Vibes with its cool rooftop ambience!!!<br/>They have live night on every Wednesday and Friday night... Staff is quite professional over here...<br/>From the exciting menu we had ordered for BBQ Pizza, Cheese Chilly Toast, Focaccia and From the Wok (You can choose your favourite sauce)... Along with this refreshing Watermelon and Virgin Mojito...<br/>Food is really good in taste, quality and quantity... Temporary this place is closed but it will be in action soon...

Food was good.. Captains service was good. But i wan tell shalom owner's that your restaurant manager will get your pr down some day.

Really inefficient staff, they waited after we ordered and talked amongst each other. They were not bringing plates, food , chutneys - waited upto 30 Minutes individually for each item. Haven't seen, been to anything this bad in Mumbai. Please don't go here .

The place didn't feel clean at all. We asked to move our table after ordering starters. He didn't bother to bring the plate to the new table. The waiters were very lazy and didn't care much. Main course was served without plates or cutlery or even the tissue box. When i asked for plates the plate was smelling of a stinky rag. Overall I will never go back and recommend everyone to stay away from this place.

Shalom is known for its food and soothing ambience I I chembur. We have became their regular visitors since last October. We are in love with this place, food and servce are amazing. Meet sushant for the recommendation he never disappoints us. Manager krutin always helps us with our favorite table. Good place for party and get together. Pizzas are thin crust they serve thai food which is just awesome.

One of the best rooftop lounge I visited. Located at the 6th floor Shalom has mesmerizing ambience. They had offer for ladies ,sangria on the house. Great place for hangout with friends. Sagar and vinayak were helpful,service was quick, do try charcoal pav bhaji.

The place is located nearby to station which offers variety of cuisines, the ambiance is very nicely done. This place has two sections one for food and sheesha and the other one is rooftop. There is live music on weekends which keeps the crowd from leaving. Coming to the food, the paneer bullets were amazing and the pasta could have been much much better! Sushil made sure we were comfortable at all points and even offered to click our pictures. Drinks and food were great! Basil fish was simply amazing. We enjoyed the live music by Salman who played our requests. It was quite empty on a Thursday night but the live music, courteous staff guaranteed we had a good girls night out midweek break.

The ambience of the place is really amazing and i would suggest that you go on a thrusday cause probably the in house singer is really amazing, Sushil the person that was serving us was really helpful and attentive to all our needs over all amazing place!.

Down to memory lane.<br/>Food - Tried Tava fish, Power punch salad and chicken chilly. The food was good and well served.<br/>Its more fun to go with friends. They've a dance floor too. Went here for a Sunday Brunch, found it pretty decent. The food was good, good variety for a Buffet, good ambience, good staff and music was good too.<br/><br/>Special mention: The in-house guy who was singing karaoke was absolutely brilliant, what a voice maan! Totally enjoyed our food while listening to him.<br/>Had goosebumps when he sang Michale Jackson's Earth Song and ARR's Tum ko from Rockstar. The service was lovely. So friendly and so quick. Would like to mention Sushil's name, who served us and made sure our Sunday brunch went perfectly. The ambience is lively. Karaoke we enjoyed till the end. Food spread and quality both amazing. Overall we had the perfect time here with friends on a Sunday afternoon

Been to this place twice. And both the times we were turned down from the door itself. They had parties going on. And they have a rooftop which is for hookah and smoke. How is a vegetarian or a person who doesn't drink and smoke supposed to sit there? They should have a different place for parties and different place for dining. Really disappointed.

Sushil was an awesome attendant. The restaurant was suppose to have a band night at 8 but that got delayed. The experience was overall great<br/>V loved the desert bowls but couldn't take it home

The music said, it would be a Bollywood retro night on Saturday the 7th, but it was not. Could not sit or order more, as not my kind of music..We ordered Mac and cheese Balls and chicken spring rolls. The food was good. I am not sure, if I would party or visit this place again

Thanks to great hospitality of our waiter Sushil, we had a great time! It was my wife's bday and we had gone with our friends. The dishes recommended were all great and yummy.

The ambience is mindblowingly amazing and Sushil was a great host here! Whenever one comes, I would strongly suggest them to ask Sushil to take over the table and serve you!

On Sunday afternoons this place has only brunch from 12:30-3:30. The brunch was really good. Huge variety of salads and starters. Along with mocktails. We were too full with the starters so couldn't really finish the main course. They had karaoke going on,which was really loud. This place would be amazing on a Friday or Saturday night. The place is very well done both indoor and outdoor seatings. Staff is nice.

Shalom in chembur is a beautiful place there is an AC section and a non AC section both have been designed beautifully. Have been there couple of times and just love this place for good food and awesome DJ. That weekend we were up for a Bollywood grab and this place had the perfect Bollywood music to groove on.

I managed to go their after the brunch. I loved it so much pink walls and artificial vines on the ceiling made it stand out. It was Sunday and we were looking for Sunday brunch , there is nothing better place than Shalom if you happens to be in Chembur area. The interior and décor are fabulous. The live music added the flavour to the such a beautiful outlet.  It was very spacious. The serving staff were very courteous.<br/>The lunch was buffet system and you can enjoy from wide variety of veg and non veg food.<br/><br/>We started with lime water in the drinks. In the starter, there is wide range of option available whether its veg or non veg.<br/>we opted for paneer masala and pizza.<br/>In the main course we opted for Noodle, fried rice with gravy and tested other dishes as well.<br/><br/>The main attraction is off-course was the deserts and really loved the desert available there.<br/>There were fresh fruit as well.<br/><br/>Ratings: <br/>Ambience: 4.5/5<br/>Service: 4.6/5<br/>taste: 4.0/5<br/>cleanliness: 4.6/5<br/>Value for money:4.0/5<br/>Overall: 4.2/5<br/><br/>My final Mantra: Its good outlet to have Sunday brunch though taste could have been better.

Staff was polite. The waiter serving us was Sushil. Polite and courteous ready with recommendations. Ambience at the venue is good. Go late if you want to dance. (I think 10:30 dance floor kicks off). Overall a good place for a date. Prices may not appeal to everyone but this is fine-dining venue.

Excellent place. I am at Shalom right now and it has all the right kind of vibes. Good music, not so heavy crowd, great food, excellent service by Mr. Dashrath makes this a special place! Don't miss this.... I am surely visiting again. Chicken 555 is highly recommended.

Amazing place and insane food. All the dishes I ordered were unique and different taste. Mr. Sushil our server was very polite and explained the dish and gave perfect suggestion to suite our taste. Will surely visit again. Salaaam to Shalom !!

Food is just about okay, not great. Good for a Bollywood night if you enjoy that kind of a thing. Went there on a few occasions and preferred the outdoor seating where it's not as loud.

one thing that stood out from my visit her was awesome DJ. he had d pulses of d crowd n knew what will click. Simply superb. food is Ok. ambience too is good provided to plan to sit out. Inside gets too loud n cant hear even ur own voice. parking space is not available I think.

Great ambience, food taste was ok.<br/>Bit on the expensive side.<br/>Mexican jalepeno poppers were great should try those once. Also caymen pepper rubbed chicken was good. Would not recommend for veg as taste was okayish for veg.

It was really a worst experience.We went there on the weekend and we had booked it prior for 25-30 ppl. When we reached there the manager told us that they won't be able to arrange that many seats for us so we had to sit in the open area. They said they serve Jain food but there were only two dishes in jain. The food over here is pathetic.<br/>We ordered:<br/>Veg crispy<br/>Veg pizza<br/>Kheema paav<br/>Strawberry colada<br/>Jain nachos<br/>Jain panner chilly<br/>Chicken pizza<br/>The price which we paid for the food and beverages was not at all worth.<br/><br/>

Shalom is a hidden gem in Chembur, this place happens to be near my workplace and I am super glad to have this place around. Good ambience, excellent food and good music makes me want to come here again and again!<br/>They levy a 10% service charge, however, make up for the same with very prompt service and good food!<br/><br/>Highly recommend the Crunchy chicken (Non veg appetizer) and honey chibuia with icecream (dessert).

Had a lovely experience here. The ambience is very pleasant. It was my mom's birthday dinner.The staff is very courteous and very helpful. We ordered quiet a few things like cheese jalapeno poppers, chicken nachos (we liked the strips of chicken in it) veg khaas makhani with parathas, chicken manchow soup, mutton keema with pav, a chicken burger and a chicken panini. The food is great, we specially liked the soup, veg makhani, keema and the panini. There was some confusion with panini, where i had meant to order a chicken panini and dont know maybe by mistake ordered a veg one. I had finished all the fries which came with it and had already eaten one whole piece of the sandwhich before i realised it was a completly veg. I checked with the staff and maybe i had ordered wrong and asked them if they could just add a few chicken pieces to the rest of my sandwich, instead they replaced with a fresh chicken panini. Not only this, the staff probably overheard in our conversation that it was my mom's birthday and served us with a brownie complimentary to celebrate the occasion. Overall impeccable service and we had a great time thank you.

Really amazing place... Been just about 6-7 months that it has opened but it's an amazing place and a must visit on Wednesday when they have live music.. sushil has been a wonderful server and given great options as well. Don't miss the salads they are to die for
