Good Food 🍲 10/10,
Service was good, ambience on the first floor is peaceful as it isn't that crowdy up
They provide drinks too,
Has a mini bar on on upper floor.
Has a Valet parking on the roadside.
Best for non veg 👍
Mayur Kakade
The place seems promising if you want to try some authentic Non veg Dishes. Lots of options to choose from. The prices are on higher side but worth the taste. Also serves Mocktails , alcohol, dessert. Worth visiting
Nithya Narayan
Good, no fuss place to enjoy delectable punjabi food. Everything we ordered turned out pretty good. Inspite of being a weekday, this place was fully packed for dinner. Go early, else you will end up waiting to get a table. Quick service too. Overall a brilliant option to take any age group. There is something for everyone.
Akash Shenvi
Very Good ambiance with vegetarian and non-vegetarian both options available along with cocktails and mocktails. Food was also tasty and service was also quick. Valet parking also available so no need to worry about parking in Navi Mumbai.
Dr. Rohan Dasgupta
This is a restaurant that has stood the 'taste' of time. It's one of Navi Mumbai's oldest restaurants and it is still a great place to visit. The ambience is old-school and family oriented. The staff is professional. The food is excellent. The price is bit on the costlier side, but it is worth every penny. I highly recommend this place.
Chitra Anjali
Good Ambience!!
Has both Vegetarian and Non vegetarian Dishes, all kinds of mocktails and cocktails. I have ordered mutton chap with butter Naan and also chicken biryani which tasted superb.
Service is quick and all persons wer polite, best place to visit with friends and family.
One should visit and try dishes atleast once.

Visited this eatery after 15 years hesitantly But quality of food blew my mind it’s as good as it was before
Nice ambiance & fantabulous North Indian cuisine
Paneer jalandhar kebab & stuffed mushrooms must try
Pot rice is highly recommended
Veg & non veg platters combo good for family
Must visit for fantastic & authentic North Indian cuisine Specialized in tandoor tikka n kebabs
SANTOSHKUMAR G
Golden Punjab is a famous restaurant and bar in sector 17 of Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Known for its delicious Indian and Chinese cuisines, tasty vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Suitable for large families and couples as well. Ambiance is quite good. Fast service and friendly staff.
Uday kishan Vemula
Food is tasty, ambience is quiet simple and good. Service levels are high. Food is priced on a higher side but its worth the experience. The taste lingers on your tongue for a while. Makki Roti with home made ghee and gud is heavenly. Must try. Jalandhar paneer kabab is also a must try. Fruit punch is good for me but some may find it a bit sweeter.
Varun Ranawat
It is a good place for North Indian food lovers in Vashi. Though not a new restaurant, it gives perfect vibes of a proper family restaurant with drinks. We tried minestrone soup and paneer kofta. Really nice taste and the quantity is also good.
Shreya Shah
Amazing taste.. I had orderd Soup, Starters, Main course..proper lunch. Awesome service. Nice ambience. Good place.

We visited this place for the first time after COVID restrictions lifted. While they were always a preferred choice for our family for more than a decade, the post COVID experience was all the more better. Mr. Malik and Mr. Sadanand served us with a smile on their faces even when we were their last customer. We thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions given by them. It's said that the service guys should be so aptly present that the guests feel comfortable yet not too close allow the guests privacy - Mr. Sadanand did just that and we were thrilled with his service. This hotel has the most eye-catching and tastiest variety of pickles I have ever had in all over India. Paneer Jalandhar was another surprise suggested by Mr. Malik and we are glad we tried it The quantity and quality of main course justifies the cost.
Overall, I will definitely revisit this place as and when I get a chance.
Keep it up 👍👍👍
Ankit Patel
Absolutely Phenomenal! Quality of food is top class, service top of the line! One of the best, if not the best restaurant I've ever visited. Honestly don't have enough words to describe, kudos to the operator and staff for providing great experiences from every aspect. Thank you and keep up to the great work!
Krutika Guddadamani
Great place.
Bit slow service.
But good taste and many choices. Both vegetarian and meatlovers will be happy.
If you are coming with family i would recommend to go up the stairs for first floor.
Bit difficult to find parking. But many Auto rickshaw available just outside.
Abhijeet Bodas
The Golden Punjab hotel is one of the best restaurant in the area, the food taste is awesome.
The service and ambience is very good.
The food is costly but worth the taste.
Must try.
Veg & Non veg options available.
Try chef's recommendations.
Vinod Venugopal
Yummy North Indian cuisine and very good staff. They do have other cuisine like Chinese, but I prefer their North Indian dishes. The staff are really good that you can blindly trust them for recommendations, if you are not sure what to order. One Mr. Tandon was very helpful for me. They also serve liquor.
Dinesh Gattuwar
Really taste food
Devendra Bansal
Awesome food served, staff could be more cordial... Veg Manchow Soup was pathetic and looked unappetising...

Both Paneer and chicken starters were fine. The masala papad rocked...

Indian beads were nice... Dal Makhani rocked but Paneer Makhani was just OK...

If you're Indian and love Indian food... Then this place is worth a visit
Nitesh Bedi
Good place to enjoy North Indian cuisine

What to try:
Tandoori chicken lollypop
Naans
Paneer lahori
Chicken amritsari pulao
Chicken masala
Kulfi

Cons:
Slightly expensive... As all dishes are not as great as few
Ankita Parab
Food is good. Starters are okay. Egg fried rice we ordered was dry.
Service was quick as we were the first customer. Staff is helpful and polite.
Chinese menu is quite limited. Noodles are not available.
It is a small place.
GP Singh
Good food. Simple place. Its a place for fast service. People with lots of expectations be wary of visiting later in the evenings as its a small place and the waiting is painful.

I visited here with my besties to celebrate my brothers birthday party....it little hectic in this summer season to travel through station to restaurant ..but after entering in restaurant it was wonderful...ambience was soo good... We celebrate and cut cake with lots of joy... Staff help us for tht... After tht we order for starter it was very different but good to taste... So we are happy.... They having proper theme of punjab...north indian food was awesome.... We also had lassi but it was soo costly compare to other restaurants and not upto the mark... I wud suggest they have to decrease der price of lassi... Rest all everything is finee..... I wud strongly recommend this place....
Tapas Pal
The place was great. If you are having more than 5 people, it's better to call them and book a table early. Main course was more delicious than the starters. You should have time in hand as the serving speed is a bit slow.
Shivali Phadnis
Durr se dekha toh acha laga...socha waah asli punjabi khana..but jab biryani khaya tab ghatiya laga😶. I was shocked..chicken tikka biryani was pathetic and that too it was not hot and it took extra 15 mins for preparation.
We had also ordered chicken banjara and fish rawas koliwada.
Guys please use chicken breast boneless because it is soft and doesnt stick into your teeth. And Fish Rawas koliwada was not worth 500/- no doubt it was gud..but not 500/-man!!needs lot of improvement 😣
Sanchita Bhat
This place is very much near yo my place and oftentimes we order from this place.... I suggest the food over this place was way too much better before as compared to the food they provide now.... I hope they get many more reviews on this situation and they try to improve their food quality more and more so more people get attracted towards them....
Piyush Sonone
DONT ORDER from this place.
Ordered from Great Punjab hoping to get awesome chicken however ended up with this open container and spilled gravy on my doorstep....highly disappointed. After this called the restaurant and they replied saying isme Kya kar sakate hai...delivery boy ne nahi leke Gaya hoga sambhal ke.... whatever the reason may be...I didn't get the food I ordered and callous attitude of the restaurant was just the cherry on the top...think twice thrice before ordering from this place.....
Alston Pereira
Poor service.. They dont even tell you that you are ordering two main courses when clearly we are were ordering for starters.. after the dish arrives they act surprised when we ask for roti to accompany the wrongly ordered main course.. To top it they question us saying why didnt u order the roti at the time of placing the order and that too in a very offensive tone. We had to almost everytime ask them to serve us water. While serving they didnt bring the food in the order we had placed them. Also the time taken for preparing each dish was way too long considering we were the only customers. Apart from that the food was tasty, the only positive for which i gave 1 star.
Anindya Bhattacharjee
This place used to be a nice eatery with great food, cordial service and affordable prices. But much has changed recently.
The food has dipped in quality and the management is extremely rude. Usually behaves as if it is doing a favour to customers by letting them come in and eat.
Tonight we were the last persons to have dinner there as they were agonist closing. While we were just finishing starters the cash counter guy comes in and rudely says that he needs to go home. In 5 minutes we finished the starters and started with main course. By then their folks were already piling up chairs upside down around us, including the back of the chairs where we were sitting as they were trying to wrap up.
So we had to get the food packed and walk out.
It's infuriating to see this kind of service and behaviour considering that I have been recommending this place to my friends for a long time.
Rahul Gawde
Poor service they don't know the flow of service nobody bothered to ask for water till the time we ask for it....
They didn't even set the plates for us after we placed the order
and when the food was ready on the table that time they set the plates and the cutlery for it...
Really very poor service I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor.
Raj Chhatre
The restaurant is just amazing. The North Indian food offered by them is their forte I would say. The ambience is also good and warm. If you stay in Powai this is the best Punjabi Hotel to visit, both, food and budget wise. Do try it out.
Hungry Lions
This place is located nearby to Hiranandani Business Park and Very famous eatery for Punjabi food. I went there with Lil High expectations and it was worth it.

Ordered:
Pudina Paratha
Veg Platter
Gobi Paratha
RaitA Mix veg

Platter was mind blowing with 10 peices including Corn cheese tikka, Paneer tikka, Hara bhara kabab, Gobi lil barbecued, Mushroom, And i can say Hara bhara kabab was best ever had, everything on platter was very good and Price was just 265 which made this nust try. Pudina paratha was okies but Gobi paratha was loaded with Butter outside and veggies Inside.
Ambience was Fare enough price is reasonable as per location. we paid 619 for all the above Dishes including Tax.

I would surely recommend this place for Punjabi food.
Uday Bhosle
Small comfortable place with authentic punjabi food, must try butter chicken with kulcha. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Most important thing is daal makhani, must try thing
AmsVenkat
Initially was a decent restaurant. Went yesterday again, bad experience. Slow service, and very expensive. Food quality is not at all good, basic soups ordered were below expectations. Drains your POCKET for a below average taste and very less quantity. Will NOT go again
Foodie Traveller
It is actually a small place in powai and my friends highly recommend it for their yummy food!!
They serve absolutely yummy fingerlicking paneer tikka masala. We just loved it. Along with it dal makhni was also good.
However we were just disappointed by the dal tadka. It was so watery and had some smell also. Didn't like it.
Overall the naans and roti was also good.
We loved the food and will definitely come again.
Food- 4/5
Ambience- 3/5
Service- 4/5
Nikita Kataria
The restaurant is quite small as per their menu rates but the food is yumilicious. Chicken Pahadi, Desi Chicken Tadka are a must try. My frequent go to place for Friday lunch.
Kenneth Dsa
Ordered the butter chicken and paneer Tikka masala.. it was just pathetic.. absolute waste of money.. we had to throw half the food away. The chicken tasted stale and the paneer was uncooked. Will never order from this place again... Period
Riishu Siinha
the food seems overpriced and doesn't match to the quality of food provided. waiters procastinate to take orders and place is nit for claustrophobic people.

Nitish Balasubramanian
Average Experience!

You expect quality & quantity that match the price (Note: Old menu card is listed on zomato). But, we were disappointed with the Paneer Kadhai (average), Dal fry (horrendous). Jeera Rice, Garlic Naan, Manchow soup (met expectations).
Special mention for the coriander chutney that added some flavor to the otherwise average food. Also, not to forget, the service was decent too.

Head to this place if you are a non-vegetarian, as, you guys have a lot more in store.

For a veggie, there are other similar restaurants in and around powai area that serve better vegetarian food.
Arfaaz Shaikh
Visited earlier for first time thinking to have a great lunch.

Thought the food was very tasty but the cost was higher for that.

Never visit again.
Sweetness_everywhere_
Yesterday was in great Punjab... Place was very congusted... I was having the veg handi biryani .... It was top class very delicious.... But price was overrated according to me nd quantity was also less...
Asim Behera
Tried their tangdi kebab and butter chicken today. Both were excellent reminded of the restaurants my folks would take me growing up in Delhi NCR.

One of the older restaurants in the Eden market area in Powai. What I like is its simple, clean no nonsense traditional food. Prices are very reasonable and the quantity is right. I walked in for a takeaway and it was ready to pick up in 10 minutes. Had ordered chicken peshawari and subzi handi. Peshawari was good, hit the spot. Will try more.
Aayush
Visited this place on a friend recommendation.

It's a small place with no fancy ambience.

Tried below items:
1. Butter paneer masala : Awesome in taste (must try)
2. Butter naan : very soft and fresh
3. Veg Manchurian : I got really disappointed by this dish. It was not at all good and uncooked as well.

I was happy with the main course though.
Apoorva Gorle
A small place with great north Indian taste.. the butter chicken and chicken malai are one of my favourites. The rates are reasonable and the quantity served is just right.
Surbhi Jain
Best restuarant in Powai for the north indian food. One must try paneer tikka masala and paneer butter masala along with Karari bhindi. Will be trying veg tandoori platter next.
Akash Jadhav
Except for hospitality, i think i like this place.
Have always liked their tangdi kebab.
Even the curries are good.
Its not so important may be but i always liked tgeir Roti and naan.
Our frequebt place
Sk
just 1 plate chicken lollypop ordered
5 mins drive only for delivery
process took more than 1 hour
chicken was hardly warm and slighly burnt...reheated!!!
Shilpi Majumdar
Karari Bhindi was the star dish, never eaten a bhindi so crispy, but then my friend found it a bit too dry. The Manchow soup and Veg platter were alright. The restaurant is quiet small and the service was decent.
Dilip Shitt
Not a bad place I would say. Liked their tangdi kebab.
Biryani and gravy dishes can improve.
Hospitality can also improve
But otherwise a ok place
Mayank
After dining here several times and ordering food from umpteen number of times, I seriously feel that this place is really underrated and deserves far more appreciation. Be it the impeccable quality of food that they serve, the generous quantity or the courteous staff, the outlet leaves no stone UN-turned to not make you feel happy and satisfied after having a meal.

It's quite rare to find good north Indian spicy food in Mumbai, but Great Punjab does an excellent job in serving the most authentic dishes that once had you would definitely crave for more.

Here's a list of the must have's when you visit this outlet.

1. Butter Chicken

2. Gobi Achari Masala

3. Paneer Tikka tandoori

4. Chicken Tikka tandoori and masala

5. Dal tadka and Dal Makhani

6. Laccha Paratha and Lasooni Naan

7. Dal Khichadi

8. Veg Hundi Dum Biryani

9. Chicken Biryani

10. Masala chaas

I hope this cheat sheet for menu ordering would be helpful for you in deciding what to order for.

Well that’s all folks. That’s my review for this outlet. I hope you enjoyed reading my review. If you liked the content be sure to give a thumps up at the end.

Until next time. Happy munching :)
Deepti Ayare
the most disgusting prawns biryani where prawns had completed vanished but I don't know where.....just because it is a parcel.....it is awesome when come to your restaurant...why this difference...
Athul Winayak Vengavila
costly dish with less quantity fish
Pranav Singh
If you want to grab the taste of Delhi in Mumbai, just visit this place. The food cooked here feels like home. You can even feel the vibes in the restaurant.
Shubhasis Chanda
Small place but lovely Indian food. Prawns koliwada, tandoori chicken Masala, and mango lasso are my regular orders there
Situated right next to some lovely dessert places like waffle tree, love and cheese cake, Belgian waffle, naturals, etc.
Living_for_food (Pratik Dutta)
Was there last week for dinner. Had butter chicken and raita with naan. Butter chicken was indeed succulent and tasty. A fulfulling meal. Followed up with matka kulfi.
Rehmat Shaikh
Such a sad food.. dal khichdi.. such a basic dish.. was tasteless n made with chana dal😣 .. tandoori chicken i ordered was dry n very less salt n spice. Not my type of taste.. sad
Mohit Trivedi
The great punjab. Yes of course we are talking about punjabi food genuine & authentic punjabi food. You may have a lot of restaurants serving the same but thgis one here is too goo on that part. Please try the makke di roti & sarso ka saag here. Its the true taste . The roti is unbelievable aweome and very heavy . Sarso ka saag is creamy & yummy . Outstanding stuff
Ruchi
Have ordered the veg platter was decent.
Pratiksha
Fried noodles were not sent with manchow soup order. Though butter chicken is good.
Kasturi Baral
Great food, all the time. Repeatedly order lasuni chicken, rotis, seasonal sarson da saag from here, never been disappointed. Very small place to sit and eat, hence better to get delivery, but eating fresh hot food is worth the inconvenience, atleast once!
Lipsa Sahoo
Since I was a little kid all I craved for was butter chicken and butter naan ! A total mood lifter and something that you can never fall out of love with ! Great Punjab thank you so much for never compromising on your quality and taste ! Cheers to many many years to come and generations to eat your food ! #themenuisthebest

Since all the shops were closed in Hiranandani because of Holi, we had to resort to this. But it was terrible. Horrible dal makhani, terrible paneer and butter chicken. I do not recommend this at all.
Yagi
Punjab is great but this place was a disappointment!
To start with the service it is sllloooooowww.. it takes loooooong time for any order to reach your table.
Tried the chicken soup which was bland !
Next was Tangdi kabab - Got two hugeee leg pieces which is made in tandoor.. it looked good from far but turned out to be burnt at most of the ends.
Gave last chance by trying the authentic butter chicken which is mentioned as one of the best dishes here... And guess what... They r consistent.. disappointment again.. it was the sweetest butter chicken ever..asked the waiter who innocently said it is supposed to be sweet.. after all it's Butter chicken 🙏

So a bad experience.. from the ac not working to slow service to bad taste of food.. work on it guys !
Anurag Pattanayak
This place is overpriced. Had Makke ki roti and Sarson ka saag. The saag was nothing but cream (which in my opinion is not the authentic way to cook it) . Though the roti was good but was over priced at 55 Rs.

The paneer butter masala was nothing to get orgasmic about.

Over all okay place. nothing special
Subham Agarwal
The worst delivery experience ever .got chicken tandoori as cold as the winter from GOT . On complaining 50rs is given as credits. Wonder how that is going to warm the food.
Vedant Karan
Ambiance 4/5
Taste 3.5/5
Customer service 4/5
Money worth 3.5/5
Wanted to eat noodles but got to know that u can't get noodles in here that's a negative point as they do Chinese but not noodles.
Would definitely visit here occasionally.
Chakradhar Nemani
A little cozy place in Powai. Great food. Decently priced. Prompt service. balanced taste . Had Lahore subzi and fried rice. Even the baby onions served with the green {(Purina maybe)} chutney are awesome.
Akshay Mehra
1.One of the best and authentic Punjabi restaurants in Powai.
2.Service is really good, however seating capacity is less so chances of a dine-in on a weekend is less.
3.Do try chicken lahori here, personal favourite.
4. Staff is friendly.
5. Parking space might be an issue.
6. Lahori chicken is a must try.
Eats Shoots And Posts
Had Makai roti and Sarson da saag which is a seasonal dish. The roti was excellent! Best makai roti I have had in a while. We also ordered some onion kulchas and Lehsuni chicken both of which were good. The sweet lassi was a bit too sweet and heavy though the chaas was much better. The Gajar ka halwa was okay.

Expect comfort food. Prices are decent. Do try their makai roti with sarson da saag while they are available on the menu!

Service was pretty decent considering we were a group of 12. The food was served pretty fast.
Frank Braccia
Always great
Anurag Patankar
One of the oldest budget restaurants in Powai. Ambience is very average. There is not enough space and seating is congested. However, non veg food which have been served was really good. Chicken Tikka Biryani/ Paneer Biryani is a must try.
Apart from tasty good there is nothing much to talk about. One can think of this restaurant as one of the best take away options..
K G Varma
I went here to have dinner as i left very late from work. This restaurant seems to be very recently renovated. Doesn't have ample space, still they have nicely done in available space.
Food quality is good. If you're here, do try their chicken kolhapuri, it's kolhapuri spicy. Very close to authentic taste.
Their flat breads are relatively better when compared to rice. Service was decent. Value for money 3/5.
Food taste 4/5.
Service 3/5.
All In For Food
Food was above average. Had chicken Tikka masala, Rawas chilli fish and chicken adraki.Quantiy is gud according to the price . Masala chach is something you should try.
Shubhajit Dhar
Again this place is close to my office, and is among the oldest. Once upon a time, given the options one had at Powai and the price points, this place was good for a take away. I have ordered many times over in the past and sat over for a couple of times. Being a tiny noisy place its difficult to sit and have ur food. If you are considering than try biriyani, dal makhani and chaas. Rest all fare is average, but than its not an exclusive outlet like other ones available at Powai now, so given the price points I will still prefer a takeaway from here than some other take away options which have cropped up. The owners are really gentle folks, and help you with suggestions.
Vikram K
Ordered chicken Tikka tandoori and was utterly disappointed. Chicken was not well done. While I like their butter chicken and chicken biryani, this is one dish that I would not recommend to others
RAVI KANT RAI
Not a good place to visit... Service was good but the staffs were not that cooperative.... The taste of food also does not match the name of the restaurant, i.e. The Great Punjab
Soma
This place hands down has the best Indian food in the whole of powai. It's so yummy! The biryani, dal tadka and more are simply the best. Their quantity is adequate. I wouldn't recommend their chaas though
Abhishek Shetty
After craving fr sm indian food, came to tha place..Small bt nicely done..Ordered tangdi kebab tht ws good and mutton dum biryani wch was yummmyyyyyy and out standing however the quantity ws less for 2 pple...Taste wise good job..Surely b back...
Nirmalya Biswas
Dal Makhani is fabulous, but paneer handi is very spicy and has minimal paneer. Overall the rating is given justified. However this restaurant is the oldest in powai. And has its own fan following.
Radhika Arya
A basic and cost effective option when you're in the mood for North indian food. Try ordering in instead of dining out. The ambience isn't great there. The Palak paneer there is pretty good. Dal makhani is not always consistent. Was good the first time but watery the next time.
Kriti Gupta
Although the food is not great but it's gud if your office is near by and you need a place to eat something that isn't highly expensive. Chole bhature are good and filling there.
Abhinav Seth
Just an average type restaurant serving North Indian and Chinese cuisines. The food items we tried were just average but the service was quick and serving portions were decent as well.
Daniel
I ordered the tandoori chicken breast piece for dinner. I received a completely raw chicken piece. I tried calling the restaurant but was not able to reach them. Finally gave up.
Saurabh Gala
I have been to this place 2-3 times with my friends during college days. It is an average place for me. They have very limited seating capacity. If you are really hungry and want to eat proper Punjabi food then you can visit this place. Its located in middle of the market so you might not enjoy much or will be able to listen to the conversations happening in your group due to traffic noise and other people (if opted to sit in outside area of the restaurant). As its a busy street you might not get place to park your car.
Food: 3.5/5
Service: 3/5
Ambience: 2.5/5
Amit Katyal
Its tiny little place in heart of powai.. Being from punjab, had to try this place after a recommdation from a friend..ambience is a bit crampy for family but for friends it a cool tiny place. Food was decent as per taste but i found the menu to be kinda repetitive. Tandoori were good but nit great as suggested. Service was really nice.. their green chutni was mind blowing though! A good experience for the price overall..

PS: its better to just order regular stuff rather something fancy from menu
Jogendra S Thakuri
whoever like heavy masaledar Panjabi food this is the right place to go, But Dine area to small service was Quite Good to...Need to improve more about if there is not available dishes How to explain Guest...Here little Rude, other we had Banjara kebab its is delicious, Dal makhani ok. overall Good!!!
Manish Chawla
A small cozy place with awesome Punjabi Food in Mumbai.. Not a place to plan your Date but if she craves for Good Punjabi food, you may want to hit the place ..
The food tastes authentic Punjabi.. Butter Chicken tastes good.. Have a good variety of tandoori Paratha and it is toasted well and crisp with Desi ghee on top.. Paratha and Roti are made by wheat floor which you generally don't get..
Apetizers tastes good.. Try the Tandoori Chicken and Banjara Kebabs, they tastes well...
Khaati Peeti!
I went there recently with a friend claiming that this is one of the best and old restaurants of Powai and that it serves classic Punjabi khana , and to mine and his dismay I was so embarrassed because I was proven wrong. Ordered for a chicken kolhapuri and tandoori roti. Both the chicken and the roti were hard to bite. Don't know what is wrong with the restaurant but the quality is dropping .

Small, pocket friendly and good service. The place is a small one managed by a good set of service staff.. Courteous and attentive to the customers ...
For the food I ordered Prawns Peshawari Masala : tomato based gravy ,little tangy and good chunky pieces of prawns in it... Quantity compared to the price is attractive
Dal Makhani : slowly cooked and simmered dal with host creaminess and a treat to the taste buds
Garlic Naan and Kulcha : Both properly cooked and loaded with butter ...Too heavy but goes really well with the food
Prices are definitely affordable and service is good
As for the ambience the crowd is good but the place looks a little torn down and needs a little bit of revamp to set the mood right
I recommend a go in case you are looking for a budget meal or delivery

Being weekend lunch time, many restaurants had a lot of waiting time, and since we were starving we considered this place relying on the Zomato reviews.

A tiny place with hardly 6-7 tables cramped inside, the ambience isn't that great. But the service here was good, the person taking our order was extremely polite and attentive.

The food we ordered was average. Pricing's decent considering the quality offered.

Powai has much better restaurants to offer, so wouldn't really come back again.
Prashant Kotian
This is a tiny little place in hiranandani with some 8 tables. Nothing great about the interiors and dont expect the servers to be friendly (but dont judge the place on these aspects). But stop by here for some really good mughlai food that is easy on your pocket.
Recommendation : karari bhindi
Guddo
If you like the rich heavy massless sort of food, this place is your to go, it's a small place to dine in, place is affordable and the quantity is good.. however fails to deliver on quality....

Great Punjab:

We all often tend to judge a place by its entrance or skip a small place if its in th vicinity of some big restaurants. Situated just before the hiranandani market begins situated is a place which I guess is very old serving some great north Indian food.

After wandering in powai for so many years and scouting some new places somehow I always skipped this place until 2 days back. We had some work in powai which took quite some time and we had skipped our lunch and straight rushed for it from college so we were quite hungry and by chance on searching on zomato my friend remembered this place that he had visited it a long time ago, although we reached it at almost closing time but we were greeted warmly by the staff and made comfortable.

The place is divided into two sections, 2-3 tables outside and 5 sofa tables inside, the ambience is nothing to talk about, decent but it’s a old place and a small one for that fact.

The good thing which matters the most is the food which was delicious.

We were almost at the closing time so directly ordered main course and they came very quickly.

We had paneer peshawari and dal makhani with butter naan and masala chaas and laasi to accompany them. Masala chaas was dense with the proper mix taste and lassi also tasted great not extra sweet. Paneer also was very good, the masala was the typical one but tasted good but the real deal was dal makhni , overpowering the paneer dish I never thought I would say it but dal was perfectly cooked with right masala and I had it separately and it was better than paneer.

The pricing is moderate, we had all of thus including 5 butter naan and the bill came around 850. The service is quick only the dal took a while but it was worth it.

Its not a place you would specially go dress up for but definitely in for some good food and don’t want to burn a hole in your pocket and don’t care about the looks of the place then this is the place for you.yes the seating is little crammed and no such ambience but the food is great, skip the other things for this place and visit it once. I would visit it again for trying different dishes.

First thing, I am very generous when it comes to ratings on Zomato. But I am left with no other option here.
We had gone for lunch to this place. All the attendants and waiters were damn rude. Place was congested.
We ordered chicken Lahori kebabs, waiter brought us under cooked chicken lollipop with pathetic gravy. Paneer achari and veg kolhapuri also followed the suit, both were godforsaken. Chicken Peshawari was an average dish. Roti's were really weird and had a pungent taste to them.
Never visiting again.

Surprised seeing the negative reviews, this is mine and my families favorite restaurant, we go here almost every week because the food is so freaking good. I guess it depends on what you order, we have a fixed menu,

1.tangdi kebab
2.fish koliwada(rawas)
3.chicken chilly
4.chicken shola kebab

5.butter chicken
6.chicken tikka masala
7.chicken peshawari

And butter naans to go with the gravy

The quality, taste and quantity are all spot on!

I haven't ever ordered in from great Punjab so I don't know if their delivery is the reason for the overall bad review but dine in is absolutely fabulous. There is no other restaurant like great Punjab.

The place might have space problems but the food is out of this world, I've take a couple of my friends along at times and they too have loved it.

This place is a must visit from my side, staff is very very nice and food is amazing

I'm visiting this place since childhood. The quality of food is as usual great as the name with good happy people serving you food. All the masalas used by GP tastes of the best quality. Food is very fairly priced & even though with a small kitchen they serve a huge variety of Punjabi dishes. The Tikkas & Butter Tandoori is a must have at this place. Chicken Shola Masala (with bone) is a delicacy made by them on demand, big chunks of tandoori chicken prepared in orange gravy with precise amount of Indian spices (wow).
Another Wow thing is the Butter Garlic Naan.

Great Punjab Powai is a must try for everyone visiting powai or nearby areas.
They have less seating so waiting is worth when you are there for food.
AC & Non Ac seating.

We had gone to this restaurant for dinner. Fish starter was too good. Place is decent in size but not huge. Some 4-5 tables. Pricing is very reasonable.

One of my favorites in Powai! Its a small place but food taste is good for your buds. The service is good and not disappointing, wouldn't suggest trying anything Chinese here.

It's a tiny little place based in Powai since a long time & years have passed but this place has managed to control it's great quality

Ambiance - Half of this place is outside in the open whereas the other half is inside with AC facility
The utensils are of copper which gives a royal feeling
Tables & chairs are really very comfortable
So comfortable that I felt the need to mention it here

Service - Service is great
It's quick, knowledgeable & sweet

Taste - Taste is the main aspect here
From vegetarian dishes like Lahori Sabzi to non-vegetarian dishes like Biryani this place serves delicious food on your table
Naan/Rotis are made very well too

Price - It's affordable & worth the money

Overall it's a go to place for food lovers
I wish this place was bigger in size & had some instrumental music

I have been going to this places since 10 years. I have always loved their food. They haven't ever disappointed me. Small but clean restraunt. With nice staff and amazing food. U must have their butter chicken and tandoori times. Parathas/Rotis is a must with any dish u might order. It's reasonable and value for money.
