Tasty food delivered by The Taste of India. The chicken biriyani (boneless) is simply the best I've eaten in Kandivali. Fantastic texture, good portions, right proportion of masala, chicken & rice. Totally recommend this.
During such heavy rains and lovely weather, cooking at home was just getting tedious. With restaurants following hygiene standards and Zomato having contactless delivery, I decided to order for some Indian Gravy that would be my perfect dinner fix.
The menu seemed interesting and I was very spoilt with choices. Would love to see some Mushroom based gravies too, however the paneer variants were amazing. I ordered for the Paneer Handi and it was delivered within 30 minutes!
The packaging was pretty good. The portion size was a lot, more than enough for 2-3 people, it also comes with Rotis. Gravy had a very nice, thick and creamy texture - Paneer pieces were nice and chunky. Overall just perfect, loved it entirely!

Ordered this during the quarantine and they follow all the safety measures. The food was well packed also they gave onions and lemon separately. Received the veg kadhai and raita along with it.
The biryani was made with perfection. The aroma just made it more tempting. The paneer was very soft. So a great experience for me.

Paneer Biryani actually made my day today. A taste of India actually lives up to its name with a variety of cuisine and the biryani experiment worked wonders for me today. As soon as the parcel arrived, the name of the zomato valet and the temperature was noted down. This was with a bowl of veg gravy with a sumptuous quantity of paneer Biryani. Yep, the paneer was visible and plenty in quantity too. Looks like I've found an alternative solution to my cooking woes and can't wait to order my next dish already. Kudos to taste of India! These days it's bit difficult to decide which restaurant to order from because of on going pendamic. But after ordering from "The Taste of India" i feel kind of relief, because i finally found a place which delivers lip smacking😋 food along with taking utmost care of hygienic packaging.
I ordered Paneer Handi which is tagged as a best seller and it totally deserve the title😋. The gravy was made up of soft and fresh paneer and is packed full of spices and flavour, Pair it with hot biryani rice or butter naan. Anything with paneer is a definite win.
The food was delivered on time and in a leakage proof container. I overall like the taste as well as the portion of the food delivered. I definitely recommend this place.

As soon as you open the packing, the first thing you will observe is the awesome aroma of the Biryani. The Biryani was topped with Birasta & rice had nice long grains. The biryani was loaded with the marinated paneer chunks. It tasted absolutely perfect & was balanced in flavours. Quantity was good enough for 3-4 people. Raita makes a great accompaniment.

It's basically mix vegetables & paneer tossed in red gravy. Tasted good it was not too sweet or too spicy.

After many confusions of whether to call for a meal from out or eat home cooked food we decided on a meal from out. My wife ordered a meal from taste of india finally and I must say she took the best decision. The food came on time and it was a very very clean and neat looking dinner. We ordered for the North Indian fare like yellow dal, Paneer makhani, veg makhani, Biryani and roti. All of it was excellent. I would definitely say a meal from out after so long was worth it completely as we chose the best option like taste of india for it. I’m definitely ordering again soon from them. A Taste of India is a casual eatery located in Lokhandwala, Kandivali serving some top quality Indian and Chinese delicacies. The location is extremely accessible and the place is neatly maintained.
The restaurant has a few tables for dine in but we recently ordered in for wholesome meal. The menu is extensive having loads of chinese and Indian starters while also having a lot of options for mains. We tried :
- Chicken Crispy : Shredded pieces of chicken tossed in chinese sauce, shallow fried till for a crunchy texture having a sweet and spicy taste in every bite. Loved it !
- Paneer Biryani : Thin grained rice with succulent cubes of paneer and loads of veggies served along with veg makhani gravy, the portion size and the taste was beyond expectations. The biryani was very filling and the combination of sweet makhani gravy and crunchy veggies in the savoury rice was well worth the treat. Recommended !
- Chicken Triple Schezwan : Amazing portion size yet again, the fried rice was loaded with chicken and the gravy complemented it wonderfully. The combo came with a packet of fried noodles and schezwan sauce which added a lot to the dish.
The packaging was ideal, clean and spill free and the order was delivered in a timely manner. Have tried their food on multiple occasions and it has always been upto the mark.
Overall, A Taste of India is an ideal one stop for all your Indian and Chinese food cravings especially if you live in the vicinity. Will surely order again and will recommend ! 👍🏼

Ordered for an amazing dinner from this place and was surprised to see how good their food actually is. We asked for paneer makhani, mix veg, dal tadka, Paneer biryani & rotis. Every single dish was good. The packing was neat and clean. The delivery was done on time, thanks to zomato and there were no spills and leaks.
In the food I highly recommend the dal tadka and the paneer biryani to all. Both were outstanding. The portion size is pretty decent and more than enough for 3 people. The pricing is extremely reasonable. I found this to be the most VFM meal among all my delivery experiences. And not just low prices... the quality of the food in that price is brilliant. They don’t use any unwanted food colour and not even extra oily or grease in food. It extremely hygienic and clean looking food. This is definitely going to be my regular delivery option now on.
Recently ordered the food from taste of india. I had the famous Paneer biryani. It came along with gravy black musorrie dal. I must tell this is the best paneer biryani i ever had till date. Paneer pieces were so juicy, it just melted when you put it in the mouth. Also black dal was equivalent good. Totally loved the experience.. The packaging was beautiful. I ordered food from this cafe which was too delicious and amazing. Service was good, food was delivered to the given address within half an hour. Proper safety measure were taken while delivering the food. Proper hygiene and sanitization was done in the valet. I ordered veg biryani. And would surely recommend. The biryani was too amazing and was something different and authentic in taste than other veg biryani i tried. The masala spices veggies and finely chopped onion was making the dish yummiest. The taste was too good and yummiest. And would surely recommend this for veggies lover.

- Paneer Makhani : A delicious medley of paneer and veggies in a rich creamy makhani gravy. Flavours well balanced not too spicy gravy that can entice your taste buds and satisfy your palate.

So this time we thought of trying a new place after getting bored of usual places that are open during the quaran-time. That's when we came across this place and thought of giving it a try. The place has extensive menu with a lot of Chinese and Indian varieties. I thought of trying something new. I always thought Veg Biryani is nothing but pulao, so thought of trying that. Trust me, my views were changed. Firstly, the dish was enough for two people (with medium diet). Good quantity and flavourful dish. After transferring to my plate, I saw how beautifully they layered masalas, masala rice, and white rice. Super delicious and a must try.
We also tried Veg Makhni and the main course was so so yummy. Slightly sweet, this hearty dish was loaded with veggies. Loved every bit of it.
Packaging was proper, no issue of spillage or anything. Surely trying other dishes from these guys soon!
I don’t know where to start.... the food is finger licking good. It really gives you such an authentic taste of Indian food, made with so much love. The portions are amazing, despite that we always end up calling for a lot of food so my family doesn’t fight over the food lol ... if you haven’t tried them, you are seriously missing out. We had Murgh Lahori Seekh Kebab and Tandoori Lollypop in starters along with Fresh Lime Soda and Jerry Twist in Beverages.
In Mains We had Murgh Briyani and In Desserts We and Gulab Jamun. Overall We had Wonderful Experience here. I definitely visit again for trying their Briyani and Lollypop

Recently we visited this place which is in kandivali east. It's little bit far from highway. But the place had really good food. We had Schezwan chicken and veg Manchurian. Both the dishes were amazing and good. Loved it.

2)Murgh Rozali kebab(HR)- would genuinely recommend this to try once at least , this was probably one of the finest kebabs I had offlate. Lovely presentation, great taste , amazing texture. They nailed this one in every single way! Loved this a lot.
•MAIN COURSE:
1)Paneer kurchan(R)- well presented paneer gravy having medium spicy taste and great texture went very nice with butter garlic Naan. This was indeed a blissful combination! Highly recommended.
2)Murgh Dum Biryani(R)- Aromatic long grain rice slow cooked along with spice mix and tender chicken pieces in it which was served very nicely along with Raita was scintillating to look at and the taste was simply phenomenal!
•DESSERTS:
1)Gulab Jamun- 2 pieces of hot Gulab Jamun were served which were pretty much fresh and good to taste too.

Gulab jamun was hot and its taste was up to the mark.
Ambiance was good.
Staff were polite and service was great.
A taste of India is a small joint which serves great Indian cuisine. May it be veg or non veg they are Mastee in making your dining experience amazing.
Not much to talk about ambience but it is well maintained and it’s hygienic.

Great place to have good food. This place is one of the oldest in Kandivali. Ambience is very simple and decent. I has both indoor and outdoor seating area. Food was amazing. My favourite was chicken lajawab,it was very drooly. Mocktails were also great, my favourite was cranberry twist. For dessert, we had gulab jamun.
This place is 14 years old and still running. A real GEM in Kandivali.
Service (5/5)- We were served by Mr. surendra. He was really amazing in his work.

One of my favorite mid range restaurant in Lokhandwala.. Super clean and hygienic.. Chicken manchow soup, the crispy soup noodles banjara murgh and chicken lollipop cannot go wrong. The starters are my favorites, always tender and tasty, goes well with the mint chutney they offer.
Good choice for non vegetarians. It also serves veg food items. Small seating capacity but no long waiting. It's easily visible from road and road side parking available. Take away service is available. Staff is friendly and polite. Good hygiene is maintained. Food served hot and fresh. Overall good experience..
A Taste of India is Simply the Best non veg restraunt at lokhandwala. The food here is full of flavoursssss as i have tried almost there entire menu including veg too! The Quality, quantity, cleanliness, presentation of dishes is on point!!!! The staff is greets you with a big smile nd give u the best suggestion if u aren't sure what to order! The craving for having some hardcore non veg food is for satisfied here!!!! Price paid for any dish here is worth you Money! Bcz it's an affordable place to go!!! They parcelled the biryani in a goddamn dekchi. Could it get any better?
We had ordered for it a day prior and requested for a medium spicy biryani. That's what was served. Extremely flavourful yet very light to the belly. One could just keep on eating. We just couldn't get enough of it. It was extremely Delicious. The meat was succulent and the rice was scented. A shahi dum biryani is true sense.
What an experience. Do try this. It is awesome.

Ordered for a Chicken Masala, told them to customise and cook the dish according to a delicious dish photo i personally liked from the restaurant's photos on zomato. They agreed and made an exquisite dish with the most brilliant of spices. Mouthwatering and tasty food is expected here. Blindly order what you feel from your heart because it will always be good. That is how good their food is. Looking forward to ordering from here in the future.

Its my second home. I love the food the staff is good. I love the chicken lolypop its crips and juicy but tandoori lollypop is my fav. The Chinese items are really good even indie food.
We ordered butter chicken and paneer tikka. I told them to not make the butter chicken sweet and they obliged.
The spicy butter was fingerlicking delicious. Soft and tender chicken, perfectly cooked masala, perfect chicken qty absolutely smashed it out of the park.
Paneer Tikka was average though and I shall not be ordering it again but the butter 🐔 more than made up for it!!!
Been going to this place as my go to for mughlai in my vicinity for about 10 years now. Brilliant ambience, amazing customer service and finger licking good food. Do not, I repeat, do not miss their biryanis and their delicious tikkas that are perfectly marinated to give your taste buds the tingle they need.
Best North Indian food in the area. Butter Chicken, Biryanis, Indian starters and even a few Chiness dishes are worth it. My favourites are the Indian breads :p

Murgh Biryani was one of the best Biryani i had tried. It has a unique flavors of indian spices with fresh chicken . It is Served fresh with different curries or Raita or some times only with onions and lemons to give a pinch of tangy Taste.
Murgh Tikka is my personal favourite. Marinated chicken with yummy tikka masala tasting spicy tangy. The smoky flavour and aroma were just making drool over and again.
Chicken Do Pyaza was amazing and tempting red gravy. Chicken were well cooked and with bone pieces. It was having authentic spices and prominent veggies like Capsicum and Onion.
My overall experience to order from this place was really amazing.

Ordered lunch from this place cuz a friend suggested me to give it a go. Packaging of the parcel was neat, there wasn't any spillages from the container. Quantity of the items also seemed good by taking a look at the size of the containers. Quality was good for sure. Pricing for the dishes was moderate and worth it ! For starters i ordered classic chicken tikke. Chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. Went amazing with the chutney. Like they both were perfect companion. For maincourse i ordered chicken fried rice and paneer kurchan with butter roti. Fried rice was a tad bit dry in the mouth but the Schezwan sauce covered up the dryness part well. paneer was the best and my favourite part of the whole meal. Quantity was super filling and heavy ! Enough to fill up 3 person. Flavor was on point and the paneer was soft !!!!

These days it's bit difficult to decide which restaurant to order from because of on going pendamic. But after ordering from "The Taste of India" i feel kind of relief, because i finally found a place which delivers lip smacking😋 food along with taking utmost care of hygienic packaging.
I ordered Paneer Handi which is tagged as a best seller and it totally deserve the title😋. The gravy was made up of soft and fresh paneer and is packed full of spices and flavour, Pair it with hot biryani rice or butter naan. Anything with paneer is a definite win.
The food was delivered on time and in a leakage proof container. I overall like the taste as well as the portion of the food delivered. I definitely recommend this place.

A Taste of India is a casual eatery located in Lokhandwala, Kandivali serving some top quality Indian and Chinese delicacies. The location is extremely accessible and the place is neatly maintained.
The restaurant has a few tables for dine in but we recently ordered in for wholesome meal. The menu is extensive having loads of chinese and Indian starters while also having a lot of options for mains. We tried :
- Chicken Crispy : Shredded pieces of chicken tossed in chinese sauce, shallow fried till for a crunchy texture having a sweet and spicy taste in every bite. Loved it !
- Paneer Biryani : Thin grained rice with succulent cubes of paneer and loads of veggies served along with veg makhani gravy, the portion size and the taste was beyond expectations. The biryani was very filling and the combination of sweet makhani gravy and crunchy veggies in the savoury rice was well worth the treat. Recommended !
- Chicken Triple Schezwan : Amazing portion size yet again, the fried rice was loaded with chicken and the gravy complemented it wonderfully. The combo came with a packet of fried noodles and schezwan sauce which added a lot to the dish.
The packaging was ideal, clean and spill free and the order was delivered in a timely manner. Have tried their food on multiple occasions and it has always been upto the mark.
Overall, A Taste of India is an ideal one stop for all your Indian and Chinese food cravings especially if you live in the vicinity. Will surely order again and will recommend ! 👍🏼
