Loved this cozy cafe tucked in the bylanes of Bandra. The coffee was delicious and the food was great. We had the vindaloo bao which was mouth watering.

My favourite place in Mumbai. This is where you get the best chocolate cake in the city. Try the bacon explosion, Mavs Fried Chicken, sticky pork ribs, bacon waffles... There's nothing on the menu that you should avoid. Brilliant place run by a woman who will always smile and welcome you, no matter how tired she is!

By far my favorite All Day Breakfast place! It's small but it's got such a homely feel to it. The owners are very kind and polite and they're never crowded.  The bacon explosion burger is the best bacon burger I've tasted, it's very filling so go with an empty stomach. I've also tried the Elvis Presley french toast, the pancakes with bacon, pancakes with Nutella, waffles with Nutella, chocolate hazelnut french toast rolls, the English breakfast and the cold coffee. All of these get a 5/5 from me. Wasn't disappointed at all.

We were just wandering around and came across this cute cafe. It's a pretty small cafe but the amount of homeliness feeling you get is like no other cafe. The people treat you like family and are so warm that you just want to sit there, talk to them, eat and repeat😋 They have pictures of ACDC, Beatles and all the famous rock bands of the 80's framed on their wall😍 On their suggestion we tried their Asian Chicken Sandwich/Grilled Chicken Sandwich and i kid you not, this was by far the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. When it came to the dessert, they suggested their Ultimate Chocolate Cake as it was everyone's favourite but we went for their Irish Cream Cheescake which had a layer of Chocolate Ganache over it. It was so amazing that i just wanted to go on and on. While we were at it, they brought us a huge piece of their Ultimate Chocolate Cake and said "here's a piece of it from our side". This is THE cake for all the dark chocolate lovers. The way they treat you and the way all their dishes taste so good, you know that it's done with warmth and whole heartedly. These guys may have a small cafe but their hearts are EXTREMELY BIG❤

I wanted to try out this place since a long time as it is run by a friend's (Axel Peters) relative. I reached late evening and, as expected, everything was sold out except for a small portion of a pistachio cake. Honestly, I love pistachios, but I haven't had a pistachio cake and OMG it was super delish. I can finally say that my craving for a decadant dessert has finally come to an end. The cake was super light and the balance of flavors was just on point. I was skeptical, but not anymore!! Also, needless to say the cake was over within minutes!!!

It started with us ordering her Ultimate Chocolate Cake to our house. 2 slices lasted us 3 days because that's how big they were. <br/><br/>We then went over for brunch one day, and though the place is small - the food was amazing.<br/><br/>She then made a Sprinkle Explosion Funfetti cake for my birthday. And it's now safe to say, this is a love that will last forever.<br/><br/>Buttery. Moist. Homemade. You can really taste the love in each bite. Thank you Mav!

Gooey chocolate cake with mousse is amazing & super-duper filling! I found the mousse to be on a slightly sweeter side, though. But, this is definitely a must-visit purely because of the homely feeling at the bakery. Will definitely be visiting again! :)

Oh, Mavs. *insert wistful sigh here*<br/>Their chocolate cake makes my day. You ask for a slice and you get served enough to go full Bruce Bogtrotter. This is the cake you get when you're reallt craving for some good ol' chocolate cake with no fuss. I'd definitely recommend sharing this 'slice' of cake. <br/>Then again, don't limit yourself.<br/>YOU DO YOU! <br/><br/>I've also heard the brunch there is pretty darn good. Some weekend Mavs, I'll make it out of bed for brunch. Maybe.

Love this place, it's great for breakfast! The waffles really yummy and filling, i recommend the Nutella waffles. Overall, good value for money!

Had breakfast there, food was pretty filling and the quantity was also quite good, overall, I had a great meal, definitely recommended if you want a heavy, delicious breakfast.

A  quaint little place hidden in the by lanes of Bandra. MC&B has a a mix bag of delightful food options on the menu which makes you keep coming back be it for the lovely desserts or the Meat treats. A must visit place for meat lovers who are looking to dig in to some succulent sandwiches and burgers.

A visit to birdsong and we were travelling back in the cab home. We peeped out the window and saw a small board reading 'Mavs cakes and bakes' and we were so sure we wanted to go there that we stopped the cab and got out.<br/><br/>The stop was definitely worth it as we got a huge chuck of homemade cake for a price that won't even fetch you a starter anywhere else. The only problem I have is that the food served here is majorly non vegetarian but the I always have the desserts! <br/><br/>Not a very popular place, this is definitely a recommend from my side in case you're looking for hidden gems. Out favorites here include their Christmas and Easter specials(anything they make that time is great) and their Irish cheesecake! <br/><br/>Do try the place once! <br/><br/>P. S. They make excellent marshmallows on request.

In today's age of fast food chains and over priced fancy restaurants, Mavs Cakes and and Bakes is breath of fresh air.<br/>With a menu unlike any other and home cooked feeling this place is bound to blow your mind. Pick out anything from the menu and you will not have a moment of regret, from the all day breakfast to the carefully planned lunch menu to the bakery items this place has it all. My picks would be the nutella french toast dusted in cinnamon, The Ham and cheese sandwich, and the prawn puffs. Look out for the customized made to order cakes and i did i mention the cupcakes are to die for. Thee cake by the slice which changes every week will always surprise you in the most pleasant manner. the Staff are kind and courteous and you can always swing by for a cup of chai and chit chat with the Owner and Chef Mavs, they do take out as well and while you wait you can peruse the stores collection of Archie's comics if nothing else you can play your favorite tunes from the cafes sound pod. All in a all a really nice place to chill whose great food and great staff will have you coming back for more each time

Small warm place nestled in Bandra's Waroda Road . They have got a wide range of savouries to heavenly desserts. The burgers n sandwiches are to best i have had in Bombay (not for the faint hearted ) . Would definetly recommend this place . Tried the pull pork burger and bacon explosion ....Devine .. Ask for a slice of the most amazing cake Almond and orange .....Splendid

Delicious food served fresh!! Amazing sandwiches. The roast meat sandwiches are to die for. The chocolate cakes just melt in the mouth. And if ur too full for cake go for the cup cakes.

If I were writing this review for a place charging me close to 30% in additional fees & taxes (not to mention the dreaded service charge) I’d be nit picking a lot more. But there’s something about sitting in on the cusp of Ranwar village in Bandra and watch time stand still, even if it is for a little while.<br/><br/>Mavs is where home baker meets backdoor (or in this case front) kitchen.. You are seated literally next to the bustling kitchen where everything is made to order. We kept our orders light and came away impressed by the homely touch on each dish.<br/><br/>Hot Chocolate was topped up with Marshmellows in a generous serving size.<br/><br/>Egg Bhurjee came low on oil and spices and accompanied by some lovely Laadi Pau (Lucky to get a piping hot batch of bread from the bakery)<br/><br/>Tea was a let down for being ‘Dip chai’ but can’t grudge the generous portion and the fact that it was piping hot, something that should be taken for granted but is rarely the case.<br/><br/>We weren’t served any cutlery or tissues, the seating area inside is pretty cramped.. But all such things are forgotten once the Nutella Pancakes arrived dusted with Cinnamon. Heavenly and puts to shade any donut or pancake from a much larger establishment.<br/><br/>Full credit to them for their unique offerings and I look to come back and try some of those highly recommended Burgers in particular.

Visited this place today because of recommendation from friends. The food is good enough but slightly overpriced considering we were a bunch of college students. To my surprise the menu on Zomato is very different from what we landed up paying. The quality is good but the quantity is less. Ordered for a bacon pancake which was served with maple and chocolate syrup (Rs. 200), waffles served with maple and chocolate syrup(Rs.150), Nutella French rolls garnished with chocolate syrup(Rs. 120), peanut butter chocolate with bananas grilled sandwich(Rs.150), hot chocolate and Oreo milkshake. What we loved best is the bacon pancake as the bacon was very well worth the money we paid. This place gives a home made feel and the staff were nice and polite. Recommend this place for their all day breakfast.

Mavs CnB is a cool place to go to if your looking for something out of the box, menus change every weekend and the food is definitely cooked with passion.. Tried the pulled pork and imported bacon explosion 💥 burgers and they were just wow.....

This place is a bacon paradise!!!<br/>I ate a bacon explosion burger and it was the best burger I've ever eaten. We had some bacon pancakes that were just as awesome, and the chocolate ganache was pure foodgasm. A wonderful place run by wonderful people. Can't wait to go there again!

MAVS is a small home run bakery tucked away in hill road. This place has interesting decor with lots of Archie's digests. Perfect hangout if you like to sit on a bean bag and bite your way through a massive piece of cake. I decided to parcel a few chocolate cup cakes, red velvet cup cakes and a slice of carrot cake. The chocolate cup cakes were just perfect. Not to sweet or too creamy, just right. I felt the other two desserts were a little too creamy and sweet for me. While I might not go back there for the desserts, would definitely want to head there for breakfast or for their daily menus. You can't help but feel hungry when you sit down to read what they have on offer.

Starting from the breakfast up till the light-to-the-stomach meals cooked, are done to perfection. The decor of the bakery/restaurant has its own beautiful zest. The presentation brings a smile to your face. The taste and the quality of food brings the utmost satisfaction to your taste buds and your stomach. The cherry on the top is the very reasonable price which Mavoureen Peters (the owner) offers. It matches to the pockets of all kinds of the locals of Mumbai city. <br/><br/>Mav's Cakes & Bakes' only drawback is that it is located a little towards the inside of the street. I wish that it was located more upfront on the main street. But, getting a space on the main road in the Bandra area is the most difficult thing to get. <br/><br/>Even though I live in Dubai, I wish everyday that I could get a meal from Mav's Cakes and Bakes. So I recently moved to bandra and this is heaven for people like me. There is food joint everywhere. Literally everywhere.<br/><br/>Mav's is right outside my place. They have this daily menu they hang and yesterday's menu had French toast on it. Mid afternoon cravings happened and we decided to go there. <br/><br/>They suggested this French toast roll with Nutella. IT WAS BLISSFULL. The fish and chips we ate were good too. And it's been a long time since I had fish so I was tripping on it anyway.<br/><br/>Later in the evening the cravings were back and so were we. Ordered the same toast and a cup of hot chocolate. It came with marshmallows and hence I am forever in love with these people.<br/><br/>Cost wise extremely cheap ( I am ecstatic). The menu doesn't have a lot of things but what they have is really good. Weekends have an extensive menu apparently so I'm going back for sure. <br/>It's a nice cosy place to chill. They play nice music.

Mavs has a very homely feel to it. It's easy to miss the place. The cafe has limited seating and thus, encourages take away. Although, if you'd like to eat there, there are bean bags. I think that's pretty cool! They have quite a unique funda where they have something different every day. They don't have a fixed menu. Do check out their social media feed to know the stuff their making. Mavs also does a Sunday brunch menu. Again, social media for more info. Great place!

I wish this place was not a walking distance from my house. Warm smiles, comfy bean bags, Archie comics and Ain't No Sunshine playing in the background, Mav's Cakes & Bakes is nothing like your usual eating joint. And I am glad it's not. Don't judge the place by its space because then you will be missing out on its delectable offerings. This cozy place with a minimalistic decor consisting of cupcake-shaped door hangings and IKEA lampshades has a laidback charm to it.<br/>You can just come and chill. Mav, always her cheerful self, and her team are always there to inform you about their preparations and suggest you based on your preferences.<br/>Now comes to the food. She has a set menu for the weekdays comprising of usual, sandwiches, burgers, sorpatel pancakes, fish and chips, puffs waffles and cupcakes. Her sandwiches which come in ham cheese and roast beef will satiate your hunger. Expect a variety in burger which includes pulled pork burger and bacon explosion. Her pancakes are just how it should be, soft and fluffy, with the choice of maple syrup and chocolate ganache as accompaniments. Her chocolate and vanilla and red cherry cupcakes are moist and right on sugar. Yet to try red velvet and coffee walnut. We love her creamy hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, perfect for a rainy weather.<br/>What sets this place is apart is her weekend menu, which changes every weekend. Its unpredictability scores. So on one weekend if you have pork biryani, expect to find boxty pancakes with Irish stew or Thai green curry on the next (this is just an example). As a result I am always hooked on to their FB page eagerly waiting for their weekend menu.<br/>It's a dessert lover's paradise despite the limited options. Also her cake by the slice more than makes up for it. Again a weekend special she bakes the best (according to me) dark chocolate cake in town. Let me list down her other cakes: tiramisu, dark chocolate with white chocolate ganache, rich fruit cake, dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and hershey's kisses and orange almond cake. Don't underestimate the 'slice' because most of the times even three of us can't finish it after a hearty meal. If you are wondering if all these created a hole in my wallet, then you are obviously mistaken. Three meals and a cake by the slice will set you back for around 700 bucks, not bad at all. :)<br/>Timings are the only let down as it closes by 8 on weekdays and 9-9.30pm during weekends. So I suggest you land up there for a lunch or maybe even brunch to make the most of it.<br/>

I tried their cupcakes and they were delicious also on easter i was gifted one of the marzipan eggs made by them and that is one of the best easter eggs i have ever eaten. Great food ??

Bandra is practically crawling with pastry shops. Most of these places sell cupcakes, if you don't mind a mouth full of colour and sugar. So, in the eternal search for the perfect cupcake, we landed at Mavs. And we were not disappointed in the slightest. From their rich chocolate cake topped with ganache( yes, it tastes as good as it sounds) to their red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, their desserts are amazing. If you're a carnivore, be sure to get the BBQ prawns and ribs. All in all, this cosy little place is now a snacking favourite and has almost entirely ensured that I will be a happy chubby person!

Was surprised on seeing the menu at this place,book definitely different from the cover,ordered my all time favourite of pork sorpotel,₹300/.Pork pieces are cut in small pieces (nice) taste was excellent.<br/>I dont think this is a dine in restaurant as sitting on bean bags trying to cut your pork chops would be a tad difficult.

On our way back from Imbiss (Waroda Road, Bandra) we spotted this cute little bakery. Entered the place, thanks to my craving for dessert after a meaty meal.<br/>We asked the owner for the menu. To our suprise the only thing they served that particular day was Chocolate Cupcakes and Rich Chocolate Gateaux by the slice.<br/>We got 6 tiny Cupcakes packed for later and stuffed ourselves with a slice of the rich chocolate gateaux, which tasted okay.<br/>It costed us a bomb,Rs.750 for it all.<br/>The cupcake as we had them later did not taste very different from the chocolate cake, both had almost the same composition.<br/>Very dissapointed. I have had better Cupcakes for lesser price.<br/>Definitely not worth another visit.<br/>
