One of the must do places if you are fond of South Indian Thalis. They have an option for limited (normal thali) as well as unlimited thali (served on banana leaf)
They specialise in what they do the best. Not a place that serves dosa/ idli etc.
Sunday lunch is usually mad rush- but it’s worth it if you are really fond of this cuisine

No zomato gold. We went for lunch. Ordered masala papad, paneer afghani, butter kulcha, garlic naan. Kulcha was crispy with generous serving of butter. The paneer was soft and fresh with tasty masala gravy. The masala papad had lots of sev, but crispy with less spice. Cost of 200 per person with quick serving, appetite appeasing experience.
The food is average. It’s oily and full of spices. Some of my friends love the place. Somehow that kind of taste doesn’t suit me. Reason why I chose to give 4 stars still is the excellent service they give. They are fast and polite even at the peak hours.
Mumbai is dotted with numerous udupi styled food joints which are known for their value meals that are wallet friendly.
Udupi Shri Krishna located opposite to Kamala Mills in Lower Parel is one such alternative to the expensive and exotic restaurants in the vicinity.
They also happen to be offering Unlimited Breakfast to their patrons subject to some basic terms. Do try their coffee among other things.

I'm not a regular Vegetarian eater, but I do love me a good veg meal every now and then. I happened to come here for lunch a few days ago and loved their menu. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Punjabi thali. It comes with 3 vegetables, of which one is dry and other two in gravy. The thali is pretty good, I'll give it a 3.5/5. Not full marks, simply for a few issues I had.
I did not like the potato vegetable, it was too dry. I do not like the fact that there is too much hustle in front of the kitchen, shows that the restaurant is disorganized. The meals are good and so is the service, but just those two points really put me off.
We headed towards this hotel to have a quick bite on fast day. It is usually crowded here. So there's a wait. You can call this hotel as value for money
Udipi Shri Krishna | Kamla Mill Compound | Mumbai
OMG | This entire area revolves around the Kamla Mill Compound which is rather new to me here in Mumbai. While waiting for my Ola-cab on a recent Friday evening, I checked-out this place for sake of hunger (as it was nearly 9 pm) as also for a decent place to wait till my Ola fetched-up due to heavy traffic.
A small place overlooking the main-road. This place appealed to me for its South Indian snacks and true the word - you get decent snacks, a mesh between Maharashtrian and South Indian snacks. I had steamed idli and filtered coffee. There were others reaching out for batata-vadas and all time famous delicacy of Mumbai - 'Misal Pav'.
Udipi Shiri Krishna definitely must be dong a roaring business as the rush never stopped here, with people pouring in from all quarters - post office employees, people stranded on the road (like me) and others. The food available is easy to the pocket and service is quick.

I just wanted to eat Dal Khichadi, searched all over Zomato for that but Yes! Udipi Shri Krishna is the perfect place for that. Dal Khichadi is so awesome and pocket friendly here than any other hotel I've seen here at Lower Parel. I was facing bad health and i always go for Dal Khichadi from Udipi Shri Krishna. Taste always stays the same. Eating here since more than a year and never disappointed me.
Delivery was quick just like 20-25 minutes to my office. Food quality and quantity is delicious and superb. Thank You Shri Krishna for such a nice quality food.
But yes the reason from me not to give full 5 stars instead of 4.5 is there is no Online order option. Please Udipi Shri Krishna if you are reading this then please work on it.

If you are wandering around at tapri outside kamla mills thinking what to eat or will it be hygienic or not... This is the place to go.. (reason it has all kinds of foods available with them, and hygienic... See it yourself.... Kitchen is visible from the dining area what else do you want)
It's placed right opposite to kamla mills compound on S B Road.
Prices are reasonable.
Service is good, waisters are quite responsive.
Food is delicious.
What else do you need... Ahh ambience... Its decent i would say.
I am a regular customer of this place, and this resturant never dissappoints me. Been eating here for a month now. Most of people visit here for lunch.. So in lunch it gets more crowded compared to dinner.
I have tried onion rawa masala Dosa, utpam, veg biryani, paneer butter masala and its famous rice thali... In past few weeks, everything is really good in taste.
But I would highly recommend for people who visit this place alone for a thali as it gives you more variety in just 130 only!
Moreover I think that the juice or shakes are slightly on the higher side.. But even though there is no compromise on the taste and quality!
Good joint to just have some quick bite of dosa and their thali ...overall it's a nearby place and they deliver to my building ,speciality would include Chinese an South Indian cousins

Here's why this place deserves a 4 rating - super quick, serves all typical Udipi dishes and everything tastes really good. Plus, it's super pocket friendly. Apart from all the South India delicacies, try the masala Pav and Pav bhaji - you won't be let down.

A regular visitor here. A simple decent place. Must try- Mysore Sada Dosa and onion uttappa. Also, Ginger lemon juice. A boon for all nearby offices.
This is your typical run-of-the-mill kind of restaurant. It's advantage - bang opposite kamala mills entry. I was here on a Saturday for some work and decided to have something quick and leave. So ordered rava Masala and onion uttappa. It was like it should but the highlight for me was the sambhar. It was amazingly tasty. Apart from the spices and Masala, you will often see sambhar having drum sticks, bhopal, lady finger, etc. but here although the sambhar tasted very good it was only sambhar without all those vegetables mentioned. Do try it once.
See the rush at the office hours - This place is packed . The shetty's know how to do business.

Good place for a quick veg lunch during work hours. They have pretty decent stuff. Theyd even deliver your food to your office incase you're working late evenings and feel like having dinner.

Though not part of a single chain, most of these Udipi restaurants have similar offerings and taste. So my review is done keeping that in mind. I am quite surprised at its overall low rating. Of course, one needs to rate it in its segment.
In the given spectrum , Shri Krishna is a pretty good one. I have tried their Wada/Idli Sambhar and liked it. The Sambhar is tangy & appetising.
I hv also had a variety of their North Indian fare (which in all such restaurants is strictly not authentic North Indian) : Paneer Bhurji, The Koftas are both very good-tasting. Malai Kofta is rich, thick & heavy. Paneer Kadhai is decent too.
They also make some delectable Khichdi. They serve it with a side of crisp papad and a bit of Raita. However, the Raita is usually very sour and can be bettered.
The ambience is average and had quite a lot of seating space. Since it is right on the main road, and that too with the ending of a flyover, parking will be a huge concern.
Their portions are adequate.
Usually we order on phone. Delivery is quick.
Visited this place this afternoon for lunch.. menu is so simple n this place having speciality of udipi dishesh... but we ordered veg kolhapuri,rotis n cold drinks... veg kolhapuri was very tasty n size of rotis are also big enough than regular tandoori rotis. I visit this place at least twice a week since it is opposite to Kamla Mills. If not visit, I order often enough. The restaurant is a amall place bang opposite the main entrance of Kamla Mills and is a typical Udipi Restaurant with basis seating facilities. They serve south Indian, north Indian and Chinese food. The food is tasty and true value for money with good quantity and quality. The one good thing about this place is that I have never had to hear that some of the dish on the menu is "not available today". They serve everything that they have to offer. Service is decent.

this is not the place for the fine dinning kinda. It is just a simple place who wanted to have simple food quickly and pocket friendly too. the dal khichadi is really amazing here.
