A little contested if you are in a bigger group. As my son had talked about the roomali chicken shwarma i decided to order 3. When we ate at the location the chicked was grilled well and given right in front of us. In our order today we received shawarmas with tandoori chicken literally red tandoori chicken, more like left overs. I dont understand why these guys need to cheat this is the most disgusting, disrespectful and dishonest place the name says it all, had i gone to carters blue i would have got what i asked for. Never will i order from this disgusting place.

Frequent visits made to this place cause its not far from me. Great place for shawarma since years. Ordered the roomali shawarma the chicken was juicy with hints of crunchy char bits with potato fries and a garlic sauce. All thus was wrapped in a paper thin roomali roti which was holding the filling in place till the end, unlike the pita bread. The place aslo has other varitions of the Shawarma but the original is the best. This is the best street food. Keeping my previous review i will like to add a current review 12-July-2019 so everyone can know the dark downside of this restaurent. My mother ordered 3 romali shawarmas as i had told her a lot about and you can see the same in my review. However i came home to the most unpleasant and dishonest experience ever. I tasted the shawarma and bieng a chef i quickly realized something was wrong. Yes the dirty bad rot game was played with my food. The chicken was tandoori chicken . The roti outside was warm but the filling inside was cool the chicken tasted stale and the worst part was it was tandoori chicken. Even my dog didn't eat it as he also knew someone messed up with the food. Whoever has done this utterly dishonest and beeenam act has to be held responsible by the management. If you dont want to do something dont do it. But dont put something in our mouth that we dont like, cause we may just end up spitting in out. Dont do this again Because people know what they are eating and their not dumb!

Visited Mezbaan multiple times so far, really great experiences. I like especially the chicken dahi tikka and kulfi kebab. The serving times can be improved a bit, but other than that, no real complaints. Decor is nice, place is clean, servers are receptive mostly (except once where it was pretty clear the server didn't want to serve and tried to fake enthusiasm). Would definitely keep coming.

Overall rating : very good We were a group of 8 so we each ordered different types of shawarmas and to be honest it one worth the price with the quality they're giving The ambience was good as it is situated in carter road and seeing that the location didn't seem to have a huge effect on price so it was quite reasonable The only thing which kept me from giving the 5 stars were that the shawarma variation in my opinion was same as i ordered special chicken shawarma and others and tandoori shawarmas and normal shawarmas and the only difference i had in were the olives and some minor changes.

I think this place has been the worst place I’ve eaten from since being here in mumbai. I ordered a tabbouleh salad which they replaced with a fattoush salad after taking payment , hummus and a hummus salad. when the order arrived all the packaging was drenched with oil , it was a very bad sight. I opened the salad and took one look at it and threw it in the bin. The Iceburg lettuce was turning brown and looked like it has been sitting in there shop for weeks. The hummus salad was literally like water and as I said the box was completed soaked from the outside with oil. I had one taste and it was revolting. Again the hummus box was drenched with oil I had a few spoons of that and also threw it away. The packaging was all labeled Mohamed hotel when I ordered from carters express but anyways I will never order from this place again. Zomato , if your reading this you really need to inspect the hygiene of your clients. This was just very very bad. This place should not be allowed to serve food. Avoid !

Overlooking the Carter Promenade, this place is more a of a grab-and-go especially on weekends when it’s crowded. I’ve only had the Chicken Shawarma and Lebanese Roll and even though the chicken is grilled perfectly and a lot of it is added to the shawarma, what’s missing is the authentic taste which doesn’t make up for the price. Personally I’ve had better both in terms of amount and the size.

Have been here multiple times! Yet another superb eatery on carter's! There's not much seating but the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G breeze from the sea is just perfect while having the hot delicacies from here. So we had : Tandoori shawarma : This was like the bestest I've had in recent times! The chicken chunks were so moist and tasty! It had the usual pickles but the main chicken tandoori was super yum, perfectly spiced and worth every penny..! Must try! Chicken Hyderabadi kebabs : huge, juicy, yummy, spicy kebabs with hell lot of onions topped with chaat masala!! The best part was the spicy minty green chutney that complimented it amazingly well!! Carter's Express or Mezbaan is a place to head to if you want an authentic Miya food experience. The kind of experience or food you expect at Lucky or Persian Darban is what you'll get here. The ambience is very simple. Nothing fancy. They mean business. So don't go expecting otherwise. What they lack in ambience is more than covered by the food and the service. Ordered the Non-veg platter, Kastoori Boti and Chicken Dahi Lasooni. The mutton wasn't cooked entirely right but wasn't undercooked either. The Platter was sufficient in taste and the variety. The Mutton Lahori Balti was very well cooked and is highly recommended. The Mutton Biryani was ok. Something you can do away with. With all the shortcomings, this place still is very promising in terms of flavors and quantity both. And so you must visit if and when you wanna binge !

This is literally the only outlet near Carter Road Promenade for people looking to have a full-course meal. The food quality is really good. When I visited the place for the first time with my siblings, the staff urged us inside the dining area and seated us. The moment we told we were ordering shawarmas, we were told to leave the seats. It's a small shwarma joint which is extremely popular around the city for it's delicious Shwarmas. The restaurant is small in size and doesn't have a good seating area but they still have managed to utilise the footpath outside for few tables and chairs. The menu is vast and comprises of variety of Shwarmas and over the years I've tried various Shwarmas from the menu and not once did it fail to amaze my tastebuds but still if I've to choose amongst the many I'll recommend the #ChickenTandooriShwarma. The quantity is great and unlike other Shwarma joints this restaurant's Shwarma is quite big and filling. The price isn't high and it's affordable. The service is quick but the staff seemed bored and uninterested in their customers.

Mutton sheesh Taouk which again was not authentic and tasted more like bhuna gosht but good. Restaurant is a joke. Never lives up to what it promises on its delivery. Received an order 1 hour after the scheduled delivery time. Calls from Zomato and myself to the restaurant were unanswered. 1 hour after the scheduled time (i.e. 1hr 40 mins after the order was placed) the order is here with the food cold. The delivery boys claim the food left the restaurant only 30 mins ago, while the restaurant claims the food went out within the scheduled time. What??? So much rubbish.

Horrible experience! Ordered for a chicken shwarma and lamb yakhni pulao. Instead, the order sent to me was Mexican shwarma and lamb biryani (lamb was completely burnt). When I called the restaurant to inform about the order being completely wrong , the person on the other side of the phone said he is not responsible for it as he didn't take the order. When it comes to ambience, it is quite average but good food always attracts me to this place.😜 My food experience here: Chicken Shawarma: This place is famous for their lip-smacking chicken shawarma. What I like about their shawarma is that the chicken is grilled really well & generous amount of it is added to the shawarma. Crispy chicken: Cripy chicken here is delicious & spicy. It is tossed in lots of schezwan sauce. The best part about their crispy chicken is that it is not coated with excess cornflour like the ones served at most of the places. Moroccan kebabs: Grilled chicken filled with minced chicken and generous amoumt of white sauce & cheese is the best combination ever. It is quite appetizing and filling. The place was very average. Only plus is the nice sea breeze if you sit in the outer open space. We ordered lime juice and it was very bitter. Tried their Lebanese food. Lot of scope for improvement in food quality. And you must carry cash if you are visiting this place as they don't have a POS machine.

Great place. Good food. Ambience is pretty good and it's a quiet place to go hang out with friends or family. Staff may not be very helpful but they'll eventually come up to you after sometime. Will definitely dine here again.

We ordered two Shawarma - 1 Chicken and 1 Falafel. Both of them were very filling and good. However, it took almost 20-30 minutes before we could get our order which I feel is a little more time to prepare this simple order.

Located at Carter road, Bandra (corner), Carter Express has a very prime location which attracts the customers to try this place out. The outlet serves Lebanese, north Indian as well as mughlai food. Although, the outlet is famously known the shawarmas that they serve. The food here can be little pricey but you can definitely give it a try if you want to grab a quick bite.

It's such a wonderful location, pity the restaurant not so much. It's not bad but there's nothing extraordinary or memorable about it. It's busy most definitely, perhaps only due to the location. Service isn't too bad either. Went for impromptu dinner over here, and had some Schezwan noodles, shwarma, roti and a curry (I think nawabi kumb). Everything was ok pretty much, mediocre if I may say so. Anyways the prices are low hence you may visit the place, but only to fill up your tummy, do not expect a foodgasm or any kind of experience.

Well Carter's Road and Carter's Express on the road, Sounds amazing for people who visit first time to Mumbai. View is amazing from this place and the breeze ( well due to summers it was warm :)) gives you a feeling of a proper beach side cafe. Ambiance is not that great as typical old school kind of cafe and seating placed inside. Out side you have the Mumbai Traffic and sea breeze on the face. Food is really good, Sharwarma are worth trying, Dajaj Hummus with Pita is an excellent choice if you are in a hurry and wanna fill your tummy full quickly. Service is regular, people pay attention and helpful. Cleanliness is maintained well, staff need to know that the doors are not sound proof and we could hear them out clearly. A nice restaurant to spend some time in the evening at the sea side.

Carter's express is famous for its shawarma rolls and outer seating. Ambiance: Sea facing cafe, crowded with youngsters and roadside outer seating what a lovely view. So my next destination on Mumbai food exploration was this place. We got a table inside as outer area was totally occupied. Old school cafe with same row-wise table and chair. Nothing great. Food: We ordered -chicken Shawarma: The best part about this shawarma is that you won't loose the feel of authenticity which you hardly found in Delhi. The shawarma was made up of taboon bread (thick base) and stuffed with salad and chicken but they were lacking in flavors. A Little bit dry and bland. Rolls were heavy which is equivalent to a meal. -Chicken afgani rolls: Same goes with afgani rolls. They were more creamy but average in taste. -nalli bharra sizzler***(MUST TRY)***: what a sizzler!! The gravy was marvelous the nalli(mutton) was properly cooked. I went crazy after eating it. The spices and butter proportion was optimum. The succulent flavor will make you order another. My words: If you want to skip rolls, you can but you must try nalli bharra.

Sitting at the most prime location, the debate regarding the best shawarma's is something that for a reason goes beyond what's on the plate. A sea view is a must. Have been a regular to Carter's myself however it's Blue or Express that came first is something that may never be resolved. I ended up here on my last visit with a couple of friends. With extreme humidity outside, we decided to sit inside post lunch time. The place was empty although the tables are cramped together. The seating is a bit uncomfortable and gets suffocating if proper temperature isn't maintained inside. The staff is expressive and does acknowledge your presence. We came here purely for shawarmas and ordered the Arabic and classic chicken as well as their mix veg shawarmas. The wait before the order arrives is short. The staff courteous enough to refill your glass from time to time. Taste : Nothing great as such. The meat is succulent and is accompanied by an aspiring humus like version of mayo which was too thin. No veggies on the side. Overall it's just a simple place with one job, serve good shawarmas. It is a hit/miss story on that front. The staff however does all it can to help but needs a better understanding of the menu themselves.

I ordered Pita and hummus, veg falafel shorwma, veg Greek shorwma and chicken shorwma Pita and hummus - it was good, personally i felt hummus can be modified a bit more by adding a distinct spicies Veg falafel shorwma- this did was a surprise. No offence to vegans but I never thght a veg dish would be there in my must have dish. It was the best one in our order. It was perfect blend of batter, falafel which was veg Balls Veg Greek shorwma- it was huge with lots and veggies and paneer marinated it their typical batter. Chicken shorwma - unfortunately this dish dint stand up to the expectations which set with veg ones. Batter for chicken felt something was missing in it. I would recommend them to revisit their batter and try to add some spice.

Firstly, Sort out the Confusion. The original Caters blue is the Bigger one. The one on the corner of the Street is a total disaster. Total let down. Quality of Food gone down very bad. Visited them & Ate Chicken Shawarmas. Stale Bread, Stale Chicken, Tasteless Garlic cream. Old veggies. The Chicken Shawarma ordered at home were Excellent. All ingredients very FRESH, Excellent chicken & Garlic cream. Adequate Pickles. Visit the correct Outlet & enjoy your a satisfied meal.

Ordered a Chicken Shawarma and a Chicken Baida Roti. They were both decent and portions were quite big. Value for money. The Baida roti though was not very crisp by the time it reached home. The shawarma was tasty but i was not happy with the overall chicken quality.

Dropped by at Carters Express for dinner the other day because we were in mood for some tasty platters . The Tandoori platter we had ordered was the most appetizing. Along with the Tandoori chicken pieces the platter also had Chicken Seekh Kebabs and White Chicken that were perfectly cooked with proper flavors that ignite your taste buds 👌 The best part was that they were all boneless. Chicken Lollipop , one of my favorites wasn't something to brag about but yes, it was indeed really yummy. In Murg Reshmi Tikka, chicken cooked in typical red masala a slightly gravy type of dish was served. Though it was too spicy but it was a nice dish to try out. Finally for dessert we opted for Sizzling Brownie which to be honest did taste wonderful. All in all it is a fine place to visit. Not really fancy but a comfy place for family dinners. The Service was fine and can be improved.

Really bad food and bad service. When after having been a customer just two hours ago, I went back in to use the washroom, the staff nearly pushed me out. Never seen such unruly behaviour from any restaurant in the city. Never coming back to carters or ordering in even though I have been doing so since years.
