a heaven for south indian food. I went this place, it had a good number of walkins. I was thinking to try something unique. I gave chettinadu dosa a try. It was amazing. I even tried the chettinadu idli as it was recommended by them. A good option again to try here. The food is of good quality and not expensive so a plus point here. Truly fabulous
Raw banana bhajiya, sambar rice and medu wada are awesome. Sambar is very tasty it is thick so mixing it with rice or medu wada makes it taste very good. I love south indian food so can recommend idlish to all my friends.

This place never to miss out for the delicious authentic south indian dishes. We called for the yummy tomato uthappam served hot and it was tempting made with fresh ingridients. Ragi sada dosa is an must try freshly made healthy yet satisfying must have it. Pineapple sheera is something which just hits your taste buds with sweet pineapple flavour so tasty it was. Will head again to this place.
Recently visited this place with my friend after college. Seatings are nicely arranged also the staff was courteous. Had Idli Sambhar and chutney freshly made soft squishy idli just melts in your mouth upon bite so yummy. Also the medu vada chutney was served hot vada was outer crispy and soft from inside perfectly fried loved it. Even the Cheese Dosa was upto the mark with added cheese on top which totally enhanced its flavours so delicious. Would visit this place again soon.

A tiny cute outlet on the busy street of Mahavir Nagar. Must say their staff is super courteous. We ordered Chettinad Cheese Lava Dosa which was sooooo scrumptious! I still feel like ordering it whilst writing this review. It’s a must have. Next we ordered was a fusion dish - Tex Mex Dosa Quesadilla! It was a good try. They gave a complimentary Pineapple Sheera, taste was of course delectable but this gesture by them won our hearts more! Definitely coming back for more authentic South Indian dishes. Kanchipuram idli, medu wada sambar, spinach sada dosa and masala uttapam are the 4 different things we tried. Most part of the meal was good except spinach dosa because it merely added only colour but hardly any flavour.
My family loves south indian food so we had a go here when visiting some friends on Sunday. Seating is outdoors but cute and in current weather comfortable. We tried many types of idli and dosa loved all of them.
Very good idli kara podi and chutney. Kara podi is dry powder made from many ingredients it has a good aroma and taste.
Mexican chipotle idli was fairly ok.
Overall the place is good but can improve on the hygiene.
Idlish is an small eatry outlet in the line of main eatry area of mahavir nagar atkandivali west. The place is decent with few seatings but the south indian food is outstanding. The two types of chutney and sambhar is authentic and delicious. Tried is Mysore cheese lava dosa which was awesome, totally yumm and one of the best delicacy out here which is a must try. Also had Idli kara podi which are mini idlis tossed in gunpowder an authentic and classic southindian preparation that was superb in taste. The pizza uttappam was also nice in terms of taste. In the dessert tried pineapple sheera that was scrumptious and flavourful. One of the good options if someone is looking for good and healthy south indian food.
This place is amazing, best place for South Indian lover, I have ordered mini idli, pizza uttapam it was very delicious, staff was friendly and service was also fast.

Mini idlis tossed with peri peri sauce and some veggies was a decent combo
2. Pizza Uthappam
An uthappam topped with pizza sauce, veggies and lots of cheese was quite satisfying and guilt free.
3. Chettinadu Dosa Taco
Some new and interesting combination of dosa in the form of taco filled with the chettinadu fillings was a great dish.

Very cozy place and perfect to grab a quick bite if you like south Indian. Their south Indian dishes are very authentic. My personal favorite: Sweet Paniyaram, Pineapple Sheera (they use fresh pineapple), Medu Vada, Piri Piri Cheese Dosa quesadilla, filter coffee and tomato chutney (don't leave the restaurant if you didnot try the Chutney). I have heard many times from the friends and family about IDLISH situated in Mahavir Nagar; so One fine day I dropped der....
Amazing place I found its totally awesome as its FUSION of South Indian outlet..... Its healthy I must say as whatever I tried as a fusion dish... Originally it serves with Maida so to avoid it and without compromising taste or cravings for the delicacies you will definitely enjoy here.... Ambience is good.....
Staff is very co operative and service is very quick.
Way of serving is so good.. 👌

1) Peri Peri Idli : a coin idli tossed with Bell pepper and peri peri masala amazing taste quantity and quality both are excellent and taste ka to kya kehna its lyk yum....
2) Pizza Utthapa : Amazing fusion of Italian and South Indian cuisine wtta presentation and taste just loved it... Way of making is so good... Must try 👌
3) Dosa Quesadilla : stuffed with Paneer it's superb twisted dish just yum liked it... This one also must try 👌
4) Pineapple Sheera : dessert is must... Amazing it is not over loaded with sugar.... Used Ghee is very authentic this also I liked a lot...
5) Filter Kapi : If you visit a South Indian Joint and don't order #filterkapi it's like something missing and m crazy 4 Coffee so I never miss the chance to have.... It was very authentic taste of Filter Coffee must try☕👌😋

I have ordered cottage cheese dosa quesadilla..but chef forgot to add cottage cheese..I was so upset .I called restaurant..I was furious..but Anna was so calm and sweet. He himself came with the same order again with pineapple sheera as a complementary.. 5 stars for that..we all make mistakes..but how we react to those mistakes is important..will definitely order again!! They have a huge menu of 101 awesome dishes from the Tamilian Classics like Idli, Vada, Utthappam ,Bhajji, Rice, Dosa, Fasting food, Traditional Beverages , Savoury Paniyarams to the twisted delicacies like the Cheese Lava Dosa, Utthappam Pizza, Dosa Quesadilla, Malabari Paratha Quesadilla, ,Dosa Tacos & variety of Mocktails.
But coming to taste I was not very satisfied. The Sambhar was very bland & so were the chutneys. Even the crispiness in the Paper Dosa was missing .Set Utthappam & the Tex Mex Dosa Quesadilla were okayish. People you need to work upun the taste of the food you serve.
Overall ambiance is wonderful & the staff also very supportive helping out in the menu ,,, explaing the nitty gritty of each item. ...
The food was authentic South Indian food and was so delicious. The staff was very courteous and promt. It is a great budget friendly place. Rasam vada and kari poda dosa are a must try.
I ordered idli and sambhar meal ! It was awesome! Sambhar was also very thick and spicy! I loved it!

Good to see Authentic Madras taste food now available in Western Suburbs. The taste is very good and this stands out from the Udipi Style restaurants in the place. Go there specifically for their Sambar and Chutneys. They also have a good array of fusion food -will try them in the coming days. Glad to hear from the Manager Abraham that they are opening a new Delivery outlet and now can deliver to Malad, Goregaon and Jogeshwari as well. Now we can order from Goregaon.
This place is a must to visit especially for South Indian food lovers.This South Indian fusion restuarant is a small place located in the eatery hub of Kandivali - Mahavir nagar. We visited with a group of 12 people and it is so economical and serves a wide variety of both traditional and fusion dishes.
We tasted their platter of stuffed paniyaram along with different types of mini idlis.
As the name suggests we really relished the superb lava dosa and filter coffee. This place is a must to visit and taste their delicious sambar, chutney and rasam.
Looking forward to visit again and again.......

Talking about food, every dish at Idlish has that authentic South Indian taste.
🔹Cheese Lava Dosa which is presented like Jini Dosa(4 dosa towers with loads & loads of cheese over it.
Loved the concept, taste, presentation was up to mark.
🔹Pizza Uttapam: This was a fusion of pizza and uttapam but definitely worth to try this
🔹Pongal: authentic south indian spices used taste it was delicious.
Quantity and Quality of food is good. Paniyarams were tasty. Best was medu wada super crispy without excess oil. Packaging was good. Coconut chutney and red chutney were tasty. Overall a good experience for breakfast options

Fiery Cottage Cheese Quesadilla: So Cheesy and yummy! Loved the fusion of South Indian food with mexican! Yes it's a fusion and yet the authenticity is maintained! The dip served is fantastic! Highly recommended 😀❤️

This is one place which I wanted to visit since a long time. And it finally happened today. And without a doubt, it was worth it.
This is a small little outlet located in the so called khau galli of kandivali, mahavir nagar. It has a lot of competition from left right and center as this area is filled with food outlets. But this manages to stand apart as the only south indian outlet in the area.
The food served here is amazing to say the least.
You'll get the traditional south indian food here as well as the south indian food with a twist (fusion with italian and mexican).
They have 3 chutneys, and those are truly amazing. Absolutely loved them. So much so that I ended up having it extra.

"Inexpensive authentic Madras taste"
This is a new outlet opened in the busy area of Mahavir Nagar alongside a lot of other big and established names. They specialize in more of Madras food than udipi food. So, thought of giving it a shot though I am not a big fan of that cuisine. The ambiance is somewhat okay as there is no AC and one would prefer outdoor seating rather than inside because all the cooking is done on a live counter. Apart from that they are perfect. The waitstaff (William) was cheerful and suggested the best & most ordered items so we get a decent experience.
We tried a few of the traditional menu and one from the fusion menu. The first item we ordered was IDLI CHETTINADU (mini idlis)- It is a Chettinad cuisine from the state of Tamil nadu- more than idlis I liked the masala over it. Idlis were just normal. We then had PLAIN PANIYARAM- popularly known as appam. We chose the plain ones as suggested and it was delectable. In fusion we chose the UTHAPPAM PIZZA which had pizza toppings & cheese on an uthappa base instead of pizza bread. It sounds un-imaginable but it was impressive. Lastly, we had PINEAPPLE SHEERA- It was more like a sheera with a subtle taste of pineapple. You will feel the quantity is less at first but not all can finish all of it as it is too sweet to handle.
In sometime we met the owner Shankar- he was kind to suggest the dessert. They do not have any branches. Parking is paid throughout the lane. Timings
are as per zomato. If they can make better arrangements on seating or air condition, they can surely get more footfall. Overall a fair place to have visited.

Talking about food, every dish at Idlish has that authentic South Indian taste with a western twist which is something to relish !
We loved having Maysore Cheese Lava Dosa which is presented like Jini Dosa(4 dosa towers with loads & loads of cheese over it) it has shreded as well as liquid cheese, so its definitely like a Cheese Lava! ❤😍

Talking about Pizza Uttapam, well it was another highlight from meal, it has the taste of pizza and Uttapam both, and it blends soo well! 😍

Pizziola Paniyaram are nicely presented, Paniyarams are cut in halves and topped with pizza toppings like bell peppers, pizza sauce & loads of cheese!

Badaam milk was refreshing & Karupatti Kapi was amazing!
The unique thing about Karupatti Kapi that I found was it wasn't bitter like other Kapis served at other South Indian restaurants!
Besides their Chutneys are Sambhars are worth drooling! ❤

2)Jain Pizza Uttappa - Jst so perfect!!loved it's taste.Perfect thin uttappa base topped with pizza sauce,bellpeppers & lots of cheese.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
3)Jain Karapodi Idli - small idlis tossed in ghee and podi masala(like gun powder). RECOMMENDED
4)Jain Menduvada - perfect crispy big menduvadas served with coconut and tomato chutneys and sambhar
5) Pineapple Sheera - jst perfect to end your meal .you cannot miss this,best I've had so far!

So it's a pretty small outlet in Kandivli West. They serve authentic south Indian Food, They have variety of things in their menu. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating.

What we had -
🔷 kanchipuram Idli - Idli was soft it was, served with 2 type of chutney and sambhar. Sambhar was really authentic. It was stuffed with cashew making it more tasty
🔶 Potato Masala Paniyaram - This was hot and crispy. They stuffing was really good. We liked it a lot.
🔷 idli Bhaji - This was new and had a good taste. The outer cover was tasty. It was fried idli with chat powder sprinkled over it.
🔶Utappam Pizza - We were really unsure about how it will taste as this was the first time we were having something like this. But to our surprise we just loved it as we, took the first bite. A perfect combination of south Indian and Italian Cuisine. The spread on the is was Italian and the base was south Indian, making it really unique and amazing Dish
🔷 Lady Guava - It was refreshing and had a great taste of guava with little spice
🔶 Filter Coffee - This was just perfect, aroma was amazing.
🔷 Pineapple Sheera - Best way to end the day. It's presented very well. We really liked it. Taste was pretty good too.

If you are looking at having some yummy south Indian food with a swag then this is a must visit place for you😎 All of their dishes are really quirky but definitely on a spicier side.
This place is located in the hustle bustle of Mahavir Nagar in Kandivali just opposite Dmart. We really loved the staff they were really courteous also the manager helped us in selecting some great dishes from the menu. They are running really busy specially in the evenings with lots of orders and also with whole lot of walk ins🍱

Never really knew pizza could be made south Indian too but in idlish everything and anything is possible 😉 This amazing pizza Uttapam came with a Uttapam crust instead of the regular bread crust with loaded cheese, capsicum and some sauces for taste. This was something we loved the most. It was definitely drool worthy 🤤
Coming to the Dosa Taco like wow such a beautiful thought of having Taco in a healthy south Indian style😍 We choose the schezwaan Paneer Taco filled with veggies and covered with dosa and topped with lots of cheese. This dish was mesmerizing but definitely damn spicy and left us in tears before we could finish😂
Scehwan idli was a zing to the regular one with mini idlis tossed in schezwaan sauce. This is good enough but could be prepared much better. While the coffee was the best.

Today I come up with a review on a South Indian Madrasi style outlet named IDLish. As the name stands for I(idli) D(dosa) reL(ish). This place will surely get you to the South coast with it's amazing varieties and taste. As you enter you can see the artificial grass and yellow chairs with small tables. Here you get your basic idlis and dosas to Mexican, African style idlis and dosas which is more than you could ask and try for. To top it all they also have different varieties of mocktail to add up to your South Indian dish. The blend of mixing up different foreign style with Indian style is really eye catching and honestly the taste will make you fall in love with it.
1- IDLish crispy African piri piri idli + s sauce
10 tiny crispy idlis matched up with the spice piri piri African style to make a good starter added with perfect salt and the chutney having the right content along with S sauce. You can dip in it or if you don't want to, the taste will surely make you go WOW.
2- Valakai bhajji+ chutney
Plantain bhajia called as Valakai bhajji in South India , is a dish which will soothe your eyes as well as the taste buds. Banana pieces battered in different masalas served hot along with chutney. This dish will surely add to your spice buds.
3- IDLish Tex Mex cheese masala dosa-
As the name suggests, masala dosa added with the Mexican spice garnished with cheese inside. This dosa is a must try if you are willing to try something new. Veggies and spice are perfectly balanced. Spicy and Sassy.
4- Pizziola
Tacos of dosa style. Dosa outside, veggies inside, toppled with shredded cheese, garnished with few pieces of olives. Perfect for the eyes, great for the taste, filling to the stomach.
5- Chocolate surprise
A sweet South Indian dish made from black lentils and rice stuffed with jaggery and to top it with Hershey's chocolate drops. You can finish your meal with this round, sweet dish.
6- Mocktails
If you having a dish and want something to sip on you can get yourself a mocktail with different flavoured varieties given a South style name. Few that you can try are
Blue coconut lagoon
Green appleade Coco
Lady guava NaReal.
7-Filter Kapi
If you don't want Mocktails and want something hot don't worry IDLish has got it covered with this filter Kapi(South Indian phonetic rendering of coffee). This Kapi has a perfect blend of coffee along with the sweetness.
So guys this outlet is absolutely great for South Indian dishes. The services provided by IDLish was great and polite. The place is a bit small which I feel is a bit harsh considering how great and amazing the food is. If you love South Indian dishes or want to try it, this outlet is the perfect match for all of you to try out. I am sure that IDLish will live up to your expectations.

Idlish-
A very interesting South Indian place with authentic and fusion dishes at reasonable prices and added flair.
Some unique and traditional items like vadai, pongal rice, podi uthappam and paniyaram. They also have really good combos and reasonable portion size.
Analysis
Pleasant to eat with all the three chutneys and spiced sambhar. Service was attentive and quick. Only concern is the minimalistic outdoor open seating place.

Regular mojito with chia seeds.
🔹African peri peri idli-
traditional idli given spicy masala twist. A medley of chopped veges, peri peri masala and secret spices.
🔹Fiery cottage cheese quesadilla-
I personally enjoyed the quesadilla more. Very bold yet balanced flavors.
🔹Waffle sandwich-
This unique waffle was mainly a take away dish. Aloo sabji sandwiched between waffles. Texture good but tastewise average. Was plain with no other vegetables.
🔹Cheese lava dosa-
Cheese overloaded dosa topped with mayo. Look and feel amazing. Tastewise good.
This was a really nice change of pace then regular experience. I loved the creativity and appreciate the efforts.

1. IDLI KARAPODI - Mini Idlis covered in Karapodi powder was an excellent start to the meal. Idlis were so fluffy and delicious. A Must Try.
2. TEX MEX TACO DOSA - Tacos made out of Dosa flour were filled with veggies and sauces giving it a mexican touch. An amazing innovation to dosas. Recommended 🔥
3. KEERA DOSAI MASALA CHEESE - This was Palak Dosa loaded with aloo masala and cheese. It was served with sambhar and chutney. Fell in love with the red chutney.
4. PANIYARAM PIZZIOLA - Appam as base were topped with veggies and loads of cheese tastes just like pizza. Recommended 🔥
5. CHOCOLATE SURPRISE PANIYARAM - Chocolate sauce infused in Appam and topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. A sweet version of paniyaram is really unique and delightful. Recommended 🔥

Kara Podi Idlis is highly recommended dish here. Soft luscious mini idlis tossed with kariveppilai (curry leaves) and sumptuous amount of Podi are pure simple delight to the taste buds. Kara podi idli is the star dish of the day. It is served with Sambhar and two types of chutneys. Tomato chutney (red coconut chutney) and white coconut chutney (regular coconut chutney) are tasty.
Idli Bhajji:
In Tamilnadu valakai bhajjis (raw banana fritters) are famous. The outer covering of bhajji has taste of spices and it is slightly different than kanda bhajiya and potato bhajiya we get in Mumbai. Idli Bhajjis are made as similar to valakai bhajjis just raw banana is replaced with idlis. It’s a must must try for authentic taste of Tamilnadu Bhajjis. These Bhajjis are served with three types of chutneys , two chutneys same as Kara podi idli and an added one which is green chutney. The chutneys are real deal.
Fiery Cottage Cheese Dosa Quessadilla :
Dosa (or as they say Dosai) fusion is very common these days. Along with authentic south indian food fusion of Dosai, Paniyaram , Idlis are highlight of the place. This Dosa quesadilla is loaded with cheese, sauces. Cottage cheese and capsicum. The base is not actually Dosa, but thicker yellower version of Dosai. It’s a taste riot in every bite. It is served with Chipotle sauce.
They have some rare dishes which I have just heard in tamilian house like Panakam, Sukku Kaapi, Karupatti Kapi. As it was busy day for them I did not get chance to taste the Kapi but it is definitely on my ‘To Do’ list. Paniyaram, Idlis, Dosai are made in front of your eyes. It’s clean and aromatic environment. If you dine in food is served in disposable plates The place does not have a lot of seating area. They also have shelves for Valakai chips ( Banana chips) Maami’s Ven Pongal, Tapioca chips as well.
Indulge yourself in perfect south indian food. No need to go to Matunga for your cravings for South Indian food. Owner is really courteous and ready to serve most sumptuous food ever. Must try Bissi bhele baath and Idli Sambar dip.
Variety of south indian menu. Good taste. Tried piri piri mini idli. Quantity bit less for a single person. If that is made more worth every penny.
