I’ve been coming here since 2004 before it got renovated and now even better after renovation. Good crowd and reasonably priced drinks if you consider the location it is in.
One of the oldest bars in south mumbai and a must visit atleast once to feel the vibe of the place.
Also, to go along with the drinks some amazing starters and obviously the sizzler out here is a must try.

Old memories of good old (now new)Cafe general :).. been coming there since college days. The food is excellent, right away from tandoor to Chinese to Kulfi.
Run by the Irani Family who always have provided a warm welcome.
The service is excellent with the waiters offering respect to its customers and also displaying a lot of patience.
I have nothing to say about the atmosphere cos it's like everything.. a drink facing the sea just bang opposite girgaum chowpatty.Dimly n beautifully lit just like the color of a 30 ml scotch whisky.
WATCH A MATCH! .. CATCHUP OL TIMES! GUPSHUP! .. BE THERE TO EXPERIENCE IT!
Now eagerly waiting for the "jukebox" to get plugged in...with the songs in the background and the sunset ..you'll feel a WOW EFFECT!

the ambiance is really classic like 90's with a jukebox inside thecafe. I tried chicken chili and Parsi Akuri (egg dish) with beer. Many times I came at girgaon Chowpatty but first time I explore this place. which is running from 2 decades. Must try Parsi Akuri if you don't try any Parsi dish.

Please do not visit this cafe even by mistake. The manager is rude and they charge 2% extra over payments done via credit card without any valid explanation over the same. The outlet has only one beer tower for sitting arrangement of over 25-30 people.<br/><br/>PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE.<br/>

One of the oldest bars in Mumbai. Located in the heart of the city. This place has the same old charm. They have made it little modern. They play all old songs hindi songs.. Majorly the 60's to 80's era. The@ ambience is good. The service is good. The food is little expensive and so are the drinks. But it is worth an experience. Charges 2% extra for card payments. So Riddhima Savkur and I walked out. As per the rules, the card machine holder needs to pay the 2% to the bank that has provided the machine. The shopkeeper cannot charge the 2% from the customer.

It was nice. Good quantity was given. <br/><br/>I also ordered Chicken Crispy. Wow. I never used to like this dish but now I really do! <br/><br/>I found this place cheap in alcohol but bit costly in food! But really good place to chill at! This place also has a jukebox! Yay! <br/>The interiors are also decent and nice! Washroom needs to be more good though! I hate washrooms that doesn't have hand shower! Please install it! Rest everything is amazing! Will look forward to come again!

Cheap booze no doubt. Best prices for beer along with beach view. But beware of the food you order. Indian and chinese are average. I ordered white sauce pasta and it was a diaster. Value for money definitely.<br/>Specialilty- cheap booze and juke box

Old world charm! Thatz what comes to ur mind when u step in. This place has been a safe landing zone for many students from the 2 colleges around (Won't name the institutes as I am gonna talk about booze 😜)<br/>Cafe General has served many generations and still remains a popular joint even though fancy places have sprouted around the seaface. It's now run by a younger fellow so u won't see a regular Bawa uncle at the counter but the eccentricity is visible ;)<br/>They now serve starters and main course too. A massive change to what was offered 10-12 years back. They have a juke box too so you can play your fav songs. The service is prompt and they only accept cards if ur min. bill is 500 bucks. Else cash only. Awesome view of chowpatty if u get the right table. If you wanna enjoy the sea view during monsoons, visit this place which is worth it and trust me it will not burn a hole in your pocket.<br/><br/>

so if u wanna do the booze old school with jukebox & easy on pocket this is the place to be ... snacks u can expect here are a really huge double omelet, veg pakodas, and the usual chakkna. NO FOOD. the jukebox is the icing on the cake .. usually this place is crowded in the evenings by ppl who stop for their daily quota of daru after work .. but yeah its fun sitting at a sea facing place with a modest ambiance

An excellent place to have drinks and chill out while listening to a wide range of songs on the jukebox. The owner is also a very helpful and friendly guy and once you get used To the beach view you wont go any place else. Do visit once and try. Just for information the place exists before 1947.
