Located at a very prime location , just opposite Dadar (east) railway station, this restaurant is the best in budget, quality, quantity, taste & everything . The influx crowd was well managed, all safety norms followed with Staff were wearing mask and sanitizer provided at the entrance. The food was delicious & quantity was amazing. The staff makes you feel special by taking special care. Also, the eatery is well maintained & is kept neat and clean.

this restaurant is great in terms of food and quality at a reasonable price, here i have tried their tali which was value for money but the food quality and taste was excellent

Casual attitude specially kitchen .... We drop in for lunch and order for kolhapur veg... Paneer chilly.... Veg came only carrot peas and with beans we ask the waiter to add cauliflower in it which is supposed to be... But it didn't the waiter went in the kitchen many a times and after we finished the meal he comes with the dish with big bunch of cauliflower in it... It was the feeling that since u ask take this and explanations from the kitchen supervisor this is how we serve eat if u want... I had to leave the rest with half meal and big disappointment.... Not at all great restaurant I tried masala dosa and misal pav very average taste. Not recommended for celebrating a great day. The misal I ordered did not include farsan and the taste was also not that good.

A great place to breakfast and lunch at affordable price. They serve nice variety in food. Restaurant is located in front of dadar station make it very accessible place to have food if you are in hurry. seating arrangement is a bit congested but it's ohkk place is not too small. First of all, we tried Pasta Sizzlers (Jain). It was well plated with 3 partitions including Rice, Paneer and exotic vegetables, and most important Pasta. It was really very tasty and all the flavours were well balanced. They topped pasta with mozzarella cheese, which eventually become gummy but still tasted good. The rice also tasted very good and the vegetables (Broccoli, beans) were superb.<br/>.

Though all the extra items were delivered first time - which includes raita, achar, papad and onion - the khichdi was sub par compared to bandra, vileparle, or juhu branch. there was too much dal and less rice. The taste was also not good enough.

Ordered onion uttapam through online ordering. Taste wise ok + the uttapam wasn't that soft hence a little disappointed. Delivery packaging was fine. You need to add sambar cause they don't in defat give that.

Nice one. The staff members are friendly and sweet. The food here tastes good. Good at packets too. They have an AC section too. I love the way they cook 'Paneer Butter Masala' with a green gravy, whereas it is usually cooked with the red gravy. Try Veg. Crispy too. It's easy and convenient to locate this restaurant as it is on the main road, in the market.

Waiters are so rude and dishes doesn't taste that good ambience is fine I would never suggest this place to anyone.. My experience was really bad I've been here twice and both the time my experience was bad

Was in Dadar and decided to go to Shiv Sagar cos I’ve heard so much about it’s veg, even though the prices are on the higher side. Sat in the AC section where I could spot one waiter and one cleaner for almost 8-10 tables. Got the table cleared after 10 minutes, placed my order after 10 minutes, got the dish that I didn’t order after 20 minutes and then got the right order after another 15 minutes and then on giving feedback, the waiter backanswers and walks away, is just the kind of service a guest doesn’t expect. Go to this place only if you have plenty of time to waste in life and get back answered by the waiters. It doesn’t matter if the food is good if you’re treated that way. Zero value for money. Ambience and cleanliness isn’t up to the mark either, considering the price you pay.

Had lunch today. Ordered Paneer Tikka masala. Taste was good, but seems they are using lot of artificial for red colour. Our fingers remained red for a long time even after washing 2-3 times.

The place is over crowded as its near dadar station. But I will surely appreciate their quick servicel, the only problem I faced was with punjabi sabji as sabji chopped by them was big in piece. I strongly recommend to try to their special Menu for the day.

Shiv Sagar was once a favourite among Mumbaikars especially for those craving healthy vegetarian food. Sadly, with the advent of new and better places coming up in the city, Shiv Sagar has been left far behind. <br/>It needs to improve a lot on its quality and service inorder to survive. Never have I seen raisins in Dosa. Manchow soup was so thick with cornflour that it was barely edible and tasted like Manchurian gravy. Caramel Custard and Chocolate Mousse were fine, but not quite worth the price.<br/>They also need to improve on their service. They forgot to add masala to the dosa and when reminded, they brought it in a separate bowl. Not appreciated.<br/>

Nice place for Jain food lovers, Liked the place, little expensive but its okayyyyy , can be considered. Liked Jain pizzas and Jain Cheese Pav Bhaji

I always order food from this place through zomato and always found consistency in taste.<br/><br/>kolhapuri panner and daal are my favorite here . Taste is good for the price one pays. Ordering food from this place also doesn't burn your pocket. They customize food according to taste choices. They just need to work on food presentation which makes food look less attractive. I would rate it 4/5 for taste and 3/5 for presentation and complimentary sides (achaar, salad etc)

After such a long time, I went to Shiv Sagar known as 'the Veg food chain'.<br/>Shiv Sagar is know for its class and the well maintained, hygienic and a place with decent staff.<br/>I guess this is the only Shiv Sagar that falls out of the herd. I guess for the 1st time I felt as if there is a huge clash between the management and the staff.<br/><br/>Did they seriously have only 1 menu card? That is the golden question. I went to this place with my besties. As soon as we were finished with the 1st order, the starters, the Waiter started to take away the Menu with him. I mean we needed some time to discuss the Main course. Finally we had to ask him if they seriously had only 1 Menu card. Which the waiter refrained from.<br/>We ordered a lot of stuffs. 2 starters, 2 Veggies, rotis and Jeera Rice.<br/>Veg Manchurian Dry - I wanna ask, has the price of the ginger and garlic dropped? Cause it was heavily loaded with it. My friends found it to be too spicy, and yes, the garlic and ginger overpowered everything.<br/>Veg Crispy - Was oily as expected.<br/>Jeera Rice, Veg Lajawab and Paneer Tikka Masala - decent enough, and almost like regular restaurants. The ambience not so good enough compared to some other Shiv Sagar. Maybe because of the location, but still, the overall infra didn't stand out.<br/>Overall a very decent experience. Food tasted good, but wouldn't so forcefully recommend people.

These guys have been a terrible disappointment. Absolutely cannot be trusted with food delivery. First they deliver late, then they deliver just half the order, and when zomato asks them why order not completely delivered, they bullshit that "i agreed the rest to be delivered later"! why would i need the food i want to eat now, be delivered later? just beats the logic!!<br/><br/>the best part is, the delivery guy looked like a goon, and instead of being apologetic for being 15 mins late than the promised delivery time, the look on his face showed that he was doing us a favor by delivering the food! WOW!!

This is a franchise with over 10+ hotels in Mumbai. The food quality is good and mostly the same across other Shiv Sagar hotels. This is quite a good job. Tried Crispy veg potato, veg manchao soup. Faloodas are very tastier.

Pathetic way of behaving with a guest. Doesn't matter if we're eating at the restaurant or not they are not allowed to refuse us to use the washroom. Rightfully written in the laws that we're allowed to use the washroom of any hotels or restaurants. Zomato - The delivery Guy has gone to Ruby Mills in Dadar as per the call from him, that means as estimated 30 mins more. Please let me know, who bloody hell waits for food for 2.5hrs after placing order and paying immediately. Nearest restaurant to the station... The rating is just for Punjabi food that i had at the restaurant... Paneer chat pat... Was just awesome... Dnt had great Punjabi food since long... Not sure if this one is part of the iconic chain.....dont think so. Idli and coconut chutney cannot be tolerated. Medu vada is ok.....masala dosa is good....especially the masala filling which i really liked. Food was soggy by the time it arrived.

Majorly if you are a non vegetarian and avoid veg food this is where you begin my friend. Amazing taste, completely hygienic, very affordable and accessible. Have tried dosas, idli, Punjabi food, pav bhaji, pizza and all are a big thumbs up. Quick service, friendly staff, adds up to the good experience. Parking could be an issue ofcourse since the lane is always crowded but other than that it is a must have if u are in Dadar and starving.

The typical shiv Sagar food. Your good old Indian food with the really tasty pav bhaaji, easy on the pocket and simple comfort food! :) Not very high on the hygiene though.

This place is just AMAZING!! The amount of relaxation and fun I had while having lunch here a couple of days back is just phenomenal. It was a hot afternoon, in the busy lanes near Dadar station. Well, this place is just any other restaurant.. nothing special about it.. i had ordered thru zomato pav bhaji with extra pav some dosas for friends and a pizza.. <br/>1. The order was delivered on time.<br/>2. The order was incomplete <br/>3. I called the restaurant but they hung up<br/>4. Called zomato people but they did not receive their call<br/>5. I've tried Hakka noodles ,Vada Pav and uttapam from Shiv Sagar.<br/><br/>Hakka noodles were average ( I had given the instructions not to include cabbage in the noodles but it was still there ) was disappointed. 2/5<br/><br/>Vada Pav ,one of the best vada Pav ,great flavours and absolutely loved it 5/5<br/><br/>Uttapam was good again ,but the " nariyal chutney " was little disappointing because of its consistency.<br/><br/>The packing was good and the food was delievered right on time .

Okaish. Overall not up to the mark as its taste of food is way far better at vileparle branch especially its pavbhaji pizza and falooda as well. Not worth a visit as compared to vileparle branch in terms of taste.

Value for money is what i have to say. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, well have it here i you really are a fan of South Indian Breakfast. The portion sizes are good enough which can suffice for two. We also ordered home delivery and the packaging was so neatly done. Plus points for this, must visit and really value for money.

Truely tasteless food. After reading some reviews of this place, i ordered food from this place through Swiggy. As an old yardstic of the old Shiv/Sukh-sagars, i ordered pav bhaji. I have yet to taste something so tasteless in my life. Also ordered cheese pizza. There was no taste of sauce and it tasted like an oxymoronic open cheese sandwich.

My first Mumbai review..<br/>As I'm from Pune,so little bit comparison is done by me between pune-mumbai.<br/>The real thing is that no such a big difference between pune Mumbai breakfast food taste.<br/>Shiv Sagar is one of the famous hotel in dadar east for breakfast purpose.<br/>I must say , the food price of view,mumbai is little bit pocket friendly than pune.<br/>Fast life,fast service .nice experience.<br/><br/><br/>

Very nice variety of food. Their masala dosa was YUMMMM! The dosa was extremely crunchy, flavoured with red chutney and they put cheese in it, when it wasn't even cheese dosa. Very hearty! Seating is also nice. And clean. Upstairs is ac room.

One of those recent food outlets where you go not to spend time but to find quality food at optimal price. <br/>There are many shiv sagar outlets around but I have had mixed experiences everywhere. <br/>This is one of the more decent ones. <br/>Tried pav bhaji, rava sada, onion uttapah and custord jelly. All the items were recent, service was quick and tidy, just the way you want it to be. <br/>Iv stopped here now and then for a quick bite. We were in hindmata for shopping nd mom was hungry so headed in here with d family. It was 3.45 pm and so was not a lunch time but still yes we been here for a lunch<br/>Had paneer tikka masala which wasn't good. Paneer seemed like it wasn't fresh. Kaju masala was fine. 3/5. No roti s as it was past 2.30 pm. So had chapati s. Jeera rice and dal fry dal tadka was good. I wil rate 3/5 food<br/>Yes service is super quick. We headed in and it was almost full. Still we got everything we ordered within 10 mins so 5/5<br/>Waiters act like they r robots 😓
