And the best dal thadka I had in a long time.We had Masala pappad Chicken masala fry Surumai tawa fry Crab lollipop Soulkadi Jeera rice Day thadka Prawns masala curry You get proper maharashtrian sea food here. Also - add on is the person who served us - he felt like hero of movie flash - so fast Except the prawns masala curry rest all was awesome. Just felt the prawns was under cooked. But the gravy with the coconut base was too good This much still it costed only 2000 bucks and was more than enough to serve 4 of us.

One of the oldest places for gomantak food in goregaon. My last visit reminded me why its so popular. Fish is fresh, quantity is good, the taste is great and prices are excellent. We tried the veg thali, prawn masala and bangda curry. No complaints whatsoever.

This place isn't as good as I remember. The bombil fry was nice and fresh. Bangda curry was ok. Pretty sizeable bangda in it though. The veg thaali was surprisingly good. I was surprised they don't have fish thaalis. The tisryo sukkha was just full of masala that overpowered the somewhat stale tisryo.

Great food and service for the price. It's been in business for a very long time. So having the fish at the restaurant after a while made it even more special. Their signature chutney is amazing with the pomfret tawa fry. And also with the surmai fish curry. Also had the sol kadi which was great. Will Def go again!

Fabulous taste- ordered prawns (kolambi) fry and chicken vadey.... Ambience wasn't so cool but taste of food is what matters most. Crispy vadey - bite of each gives soothing feeling once enters mouth and chickens aroma was commendable even before one eats. Prawns fry was to the point ,not soggy and very crispy. This is a small restaurant with a separate section for family dining as well. The dishes are prepared fast and orders reach table with lightening speed. The Bombil fry, surmai fry and crab masala fry are to die for . Have it with Neer dosa (appam) and you will thank me later. The highlight of this restaurant is the green mango chutney that they serve as a condiment for fried seafood, its available all year. This place is cheap and serves 5 star restaurant quality food. Decent hygiene is maintained in the restaurant as well and the waiters are polite and well mannered. If you are in the area of Goregaon west, or near Inorbit mall, do visit this gem of a place for a life changing seafood experience.

Went to this place on Sunday. Sol kadi was good. Tried their pomfret tawa with rawas fry and rawas rassa. Pomfret was amazing in taste. Rawas fry was slightly burned. Bhakri and vada eaten were very soft. Must try is their refreshing sweet like soda. But that too was good first time we ordered. When we asked to repeat the same there was more soda in it and tasted bad.

I visited this place ona a Friday evening. The ffod over here is shit....I mean real shit....I ordered a prawns masala and A shellfish masala. Both the masala had same taste which was really sad. I couldn't tell the difference between both the dishes. They also over charge a lot. A small sized bhakri cost me 28Rs which was not expected. Ok ok ambience but the food not good. I wont recommend this restaurant to people.

This was an old haunt and go to place, back when we lived close by. That was almost two decades ago. The place looks and feels just the same. The Sol Kadhi was perfect for the October heat. The bombil fry and the coconut chutney it was served with complemented each other perfectly. The prawn biryani was a large serving. Too much for two, really. Still quite VFM.

Konkan Swad has been here since many years and been visiting this place on and off. I love love love their Bombil Fry. Crispy, fresh bombil (Bombay Duck) coated with rava/suji and then deep fried. 4 pieces in one plate. Priced at 150rs, it's absolutely worth it. At once time, me and my friend order the same dish, almost 4 times, it's that yummy. Chicken Masala - I love their chicken masala too. It's not too spicy and I eat it with Vade as well as rice. Chicken is properly cooked, masala is spiced well. The vadas are crispy and nice. Goes best with Sol Kadhi. Service is really good, and quick too. The staff there helps with choosing the dishes which makes it easier to order.

Out of my love for konkani cuisine I choose to visit this place . The name of the eatery itself grabbed my attention. A decent interior I must day. Nevertheless, the food was outstanding. I had some 4-5 items from the menu.. 1) Surmai fry : perfectly fried and takes heavenly with the green chatni 2) chicken Masala Roast : woo! What masala. Must have for chicken lovers 3) Promfet tawa fry : this was my most expensive dish for the evening. But all worth it. I love fish to the core of my heart... This dish just blew my mind. 4) Prawn biriyani : as I am a bengali. I had a different version of biriyani all together. I don't think so that it was made by all standards of how a biriyani should be like but whatever they made - name me poloa or masala rice or whatever. It was outstanding. I loved it. 5 ) Anda cury : okay. A must try place for fish lovers. Try the promfet tawa fry :)

Visited this place earlier today and loved every item. Just one complaint. The fried items were very dry. Not that I wanted it oily, just that it was way too dry. Even the pomfret which was mentioned to be rava fry. It didn't look anyway close to that.

Definitely not a miss I decided to try their mutton dishes and ordered mutton fry masala with plain rice. Extremely delicious and non spicy . Kokum curry to end with. The ambience is very basic but it’s air conditioned. But loved the simplicity and aura of this place.

One stop destination for lip smacking malwani food. This is a small little place on the MG road, Link Road intersection in Goregaon West. It serves great Malwani food right from sol kadi, fish rawa fry, fish tawa fry, prawns pulao.. honestly I’m always spoilt for choice. The surmai tawa fry is an absolute winner. I also loved prawns koliwada, prawns tawa fry and prawns pulao. Also a big fan of the green chutney that accompanies these dishes. The ambiance and cleanliness of this place could be improved. Also great value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Horrible service. Not the servers fault. They have good amount of crowd coming in. But I suppose the owner(management) should add few more staff. Terribly managed. Food is good as always. Waited 30 mins for a table 40 mins to place a order 45 mins to get our order 30 mins for our meal and 15 mins to clear the bill. All time spent nearly 3 hours for a meal. Seriously.

If you're looking for a fancy ambience don't bother. But if you love freshly fried fresh, a bowl of curry to dunk your neer dosa into then this is a place you must try. Second visit to kokan swad.. As in my first visit i could only taste prawns sukha , bhakri and bombil fry ..everything was good.. Thats why revisited this place.. Chicken sagoti and wade was a perfect combo and tasty as well..Solkadi was yum too..You can never go wrong with Fried fishes along with fish curry and rice.. So ordered halwa fry and surmai fry.. They wer fine too.. The only issue we faced this time was surmai fish curry did not have surmai in it.. The fish never tasted like surmai..We doubt it to be other fish..It wasnt tasty at all..We never wanted them to redo the dish for us , but just wanted the manager to know about it.. So while paying the bill , we brought to his notice but he did not accept..Our family hails from kokan and goa.. We are fish eaters ..fish curry wasnt worth the price we paid.. Rest no complaints..

Visited konkan swad today with sister as we were craving hard for sea food. We thought to try sea food platter,crab masala gravy with rice and sol kadhi. Crab masala gravy was lipsmacking with lemon poured on it along with rice and onions. We were disappointed with the sea food platter as all the fishes in it were coated with the same masala of the same taste and texture hence we were unable to recognize the type of fish. The chef must have given different taste to different fishes. Sol kadhi was delicious. Still we are looking forward to visit this restaurant again to try different dishes. Konkan Swad is one of those old school restaurants where the food is just yum and all the other stuff goes out of the window. Now if you’re a person for who ambience and the entire dining experience is very important then this is not a place for you. But for those who love good food I’m sorry great sea food then this is the place to come. So for starters the fried Bombay duck has to and I mean has to be there. They prepare it really well and none of the fried stuff is too oily. Followed by prawn masala fry. They fry it with a nice rava batter and the taste is simply delicious. For the main course we had the pomfret tava fry along with their curry and rice. The pomfret was prepared to perfection, and their curry rice was the added touch which was required to enhance the taste of the pomfret. Also while here their kokam drink is a definite must try. So apart from the ambience of a stylish restaurant my opening line sums this place up, if you want to have some great sea food this is definitely the place to come. Its a no fuss place and I will definitely be coming down here again. Happy munching 🍻

You will however be welcomed with the aroma of freshly fried fish Beverages: The Sol kadi here is a must try! Food: We tried the pomfret curry. Although the curry was delicious, the pomfret could have been more fresh. The fried fish and neer Dosa are also worth trying! 🐟🦀 The food is moderately priced and the service is quick. Parking may be an issue as valet parking is not available.

Ordered Mushroom Pulav (was sumptuous!). However, due to network issues, I could not pay online as I otherwise do, and called for Cash-on-Delivery instead. And they handed a bill that charged additional taxes not declared on Zomato. GST was added not only over their own pulav dish, but also on the MRP of ready beverages. Had I paid online that day, I would have been charged only as much as Zomato had mentioned. Konkan Swad should get the rates sorted on Zomato. For large orders, this may translate into huge difference in estimation of cost.

This place has been there since super long time and it was the best when it opened. You could point on any item on the menu and you were in for a delight. But as maintaining quality and taste is not an easy task, for me this place went down the hill. The preparations were no longer authentic, the freshness was there but lacked taste big-time. I have not been to this place for a couple of months now and now when I go through the review I may visit again to check if it has done any better. But this review comes from what my last experience at this place was about 3.5months ago. Will come back on this on checking it out again!

Not much for vegetarians but I love their authentic solkadi ! My friend comes all the way from Bandra to relish the grand fish thaali served by them because of which I get a chance to meet my friend once a fortnight. Thanks!! I also appreciate positive energies of the service providers .

My review is kinda late .. but better late than never! Tried the restaurant after 7 years .. Went with a friend .. we ordered Neer Dosa, Prawn in Green Masala, Bhakri Squid Masala and sol Kadhi .. Awesome food .. light yet fantastic! Personalised service and very homely.. A must try!!
