Cafe Amar is a Mughlai restaurant based in Chembur. They have a wide variety of food and since I like to try new places, I decided to order from them. Food Order Rating of Cafe Amar, Chembur: Date: 2nd July 2020 Time: 2:00pm Please check the rating for each dish we ordered based on various factors: 1) Chicken Lahori – Rs. 163 (Discounted rate by the restaurant) Quality – 4/5 Quantity – 4/5 Taste – 4/5 Value for Money – 4/5 Packaging – 4/5 Overall – 4/5 I ordered Chicken Lahori which arrived in just 25 minutes. The packaging was good and I had planned to eat this with homemade roti. Quantity wise it was decent and contained 5 medium sized pieces of Chicken. The gravy was thick, orange in color, medium in spice levels and taste wise it was delicious. Chicken pieces were tender and easy to eat. Uncooked food given by restaurant and after complain order taker says that please send me food and he will make new for me. How shameful for restaurant that customer will send the food for his complain. I suggest never order food from this restaurant it's bad quality food

Who the hell makes butter chicken Soo spicy. I swear to God it burned my mouth . Apart from the gravy being too spicy it even had big green chilli Chuck's ..I mean come on butter chicken is supposed to be kinda sweet and creamy . Super bad experience.

It is a double whammy when you are lucky to have not drilled a hole into your pocket whilst you savoured every bit & bites of your dinner . Ps: an Advice if they could cut down on the oil content , there is absolutely everything in the food you can expect a drool worthy experience.

The food here is top notch for a reasonable price. I've been a regular customer as i live in a hostel and the food has never disappointed me. The dal khichdi is way too good. Always has an offer on Zomato so do try. Recommended dishes: Paneer tikka masala, dal khichdi, chicken lazeez.

Recently ordered a food from Cafe Amar. Food has taste but it can be better. We've ordered their Egg Burji, which was delicious. We've ordered their Chicken Biryani, which was quite delicious but there's a room for improvement. Then we tried their Butter Chicken, wasn't even look like a butter chicken, yet has taste. Packaging of food was not that good, oil was leaking. Though overall it was a good experience whii Prices are reasonable.

We had a get together at a friend's house and we needed some naan. We ordered the naan from Cafe Amar. The naan was reasonably price, cheaper than the comparable outlets that are located in the vicinity. The naan was good tasted great too.

I ordered dal khichidi for my friend and chicken biryani for me . Dal Khichidi was good but Chicken Biryani was bad. It is nothing like the photos uploaded in some other review. I even doubt about the freshness of chicken. I would recommend not to eat non veg from cafe amar.

We ordered food from Cafe Amar with some good expectations after looking at the photos that are already uploaded. However, I have to say that this was the most pathetic food I have ever tasted. The Butter Chicken had at least half a centimeter of oil floating on it. Now sure why they think Mughlai food means a layer of oil. Also it was no where close to how Butter Chicken typically tastes and also there was no Chicken in it. The cook here surely needs to go on a break. Absolutely disappointed :( The only positive is that Zomato delivered it under 15 minutes.

It was midnight and I was craving for Biryani in a low budget. Ordered Hyderabadi Biryani from Cafe Amar. Review- Hyderabadi Biryani The texture of the biryani was green real good, it had perfect amount of masala and was rightly cooked as well. Biryani tasted yummy at the price of 110rs which was definitely worth it. With biryani some onion rings and lemon was provided. Delivery through zomato was also on time. Overall had a great experience. Will definitely try other items too. Must try - Hyderabadi Biryani. Cost - 110 rs

It was the one of the first cafe we've visited after shifting to our new accommodation in chembur from powai. It's quite a good and economical kind of restaurant. They are serving for what they take! But all the non vegetarian dishes are bit oily. People who are hailing from south may feel a little bit uncomfortable with the oily stuff. But the taste is good.

This is the first time I ordered food from here. I have a fixed restaurant food, but I was on a low budget this time so had to look for other options. I ordered paneer mutter masala and rotis. The gravy was really nice, had soft pieces of paneer. I was not expecting this good bhaji for the price. The delivery was on time. The packing wasn't so good but the food was nice.
