Review Shubham Pure Veg Restaurant - Mumbai

Tejashree Khare
I visited this place with my family. It was too crowded because of Dipavali Padwa. So we got our food a bit late. We ordered paneer crispy, veg fried rice, paneer handi and butter roti. The food was delicious. The quantity was good enough. The price of the food was a bit high. So if you are a foodie and wanna try best veg food then you must visit this restaurant with your friends and family. Try to visit it on weekdays so it will be less crowded.

We went there late at night around 10pm last Sunday. It wasn't very crowded. They have AC sitting too. We went for a quick bite at regular sitting. We have ordered 1 paavbhaji, 1 glass of lassi and a cheese club sandwich. The food was good in taste and sufficient. Lassi was thick and tasty. My husband got paavbhaji in 5 mins and I have to wait for a sandwich for a long time. He even ordered extra pav and finished paavbhaji then the sandwich arrived 😬🥺 we paid 442 rs. Rates are high. I heard a customer arguing about spice levels and she said all vegetables were very spicy and she couldn't eat.

I had a wonderful experience at the Shubham Pure Vegetarian Restaurant opposite Dadar Railway Station! The masala dosa, utappam, and sabudana wada that we had were superb and demonstrated the chef's skill and dedication to genuine tastes. The utappam was soft and tasty, the masala dosa was delightfully crisp, and the sabudana wada was a delightful crunchy treat. Our meal experience was made particularly special by the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant and the excellent service from the personnel. To anyone looking for delicious vegetarian food in Dadar, I heartily recommend Shubham Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. I'll come back for more of their amazing dishes without a doubt.

We had been to the Shubham Pure Vegetarian Restaurant by for a conference diner. The Manager was there at the restaurant to welcome the customers. Food was very tasty, staff were friendly. They usually don't provide buffet at this restaurant but for our family they provided buffet. The ambience at the restaurant was superb and modern with a traditional indian touch. They had a retro music player who played some amazing music. Overall the ambience at the hotel and food taste was amazing.
Mihir Talwalkar
One of the best restaurants near Dadar station. It is located on Eastern side. This has all options for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The price is slightly higher for the quantity served. Good preparation of dishes and fast service 👌 helpful and polite staff. We had evening food once as well as dinner. Loved the Tomato Onion Uttapam, Pao Bhaji and Veg Pulao. And nothing is more refreshing than a limbu pani or a sunny day.

When you travelling from dadar east there is one vegetarian restaurant is available for all snacking options like breakfast, Tea, Lunch, Dinner etc. This is pure veg restaurant. The taste and quality of food is great. We ordered there veg kolhapuri and roti and after that we take chinese fried rice. Taste is nice. According to quantity rates are little bit high. Also the staff is very responsive and polite. Just request to owner create washroom option for all. Because restaurant is nice but washroom not available. Overall experience is good.

I recently visited Subham Pure Vegetarian Restaurant and was blown away by the quality of food and service. The restaurant offers a wide range of North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Fast Food, Street Food, Desserts, and Beverages. The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a pleasant ambiance. The staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive. The food is delicious, fresh, and flavorful. I highly recommend the grilled sandwich, which was perfectly baked and topped with a good quantity of cheese. The South Indian dishes are also noteworthy, especially the sambhar, which was one of the best I've had. The pav bhaji was too yummy, and the buttery pav was perfect. Overall, the food was pocket-friendly, and the restaurant is an excellent value for money. If you're ever near Dadar station, do visit this place! I

It's a small non-descript restaurant right in the midst of Dadar East - extremely close to the station and the local taxi-waiting line. We ate the Coconut Uttapam - which was non-oily yet soft and perfectly cooked while the coconut flavour is very slight. It's served with nariyal chutney - highly recommended and that too from someone who doesn't even like uttapams. Also the rava onion masala dosa was nice - par standard fare available at most places. Decent service - polite and prompt. Ambience is - clean and reminded me of small Irani cafes in Mumbai in the 90s. Value for money and great if you need a quick meal before / after long travel.

One of the best restaurants near Dadar station. It is located on Eastern side. This has all options for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Vegetarian options: Wada pao, pao bhaji, masala dosa, idli sambar, idli wada sambar, upma, onion utthappa, sandwiches etc Kid-friendliness: Place is kid friendly parental monitoring is however required as it is crowded most of the times.

We went there late at night around 10pm last Sunday. It wasn't very crowded. They have AC sitting too. We went for a quick bite at regular sitting.

Veg Thali for ₹ 210 was tasty with 5 Puri's. You have option to choose. 1 Roti / 2 Chapatis / 5 Puri's. I shall definitely visit the place again. This Restaurant is next to Dadar East Station. Hence the Atmosphere is little fast & noisy, as everyone is on the go & running to reach someplace. Service was good.
Harsh Patel
The food here is authentic & delicious. The hospitality & service provided by the restaurant is top notch. I would surely recommend visiting it & trying the Creamy kaju panner 🤤

Not good test for kaju masala ,not good quality test is very bad

Food: 3.5/5
Service: 4/5
Seating: 3/5

Gave three stars because of the congested seating. Also that the price is just above par for an AC seating as it nearly equivalent to a 4 star outlet having normal seating.
About food, definitely good in taste and comforting though overall service was Okayish.
Can do better in terms of service as its a pure veg restaurant.
Nayaneel
This place is located next to dadar station .
Place is overcrowded all the time.
I order pav bhaji taste was good n was buttery.
Staff is uncooperative and inactive in taking orders
Vijay Laddha
If you want to waste your money go to this resto. They don't accept Card, No online payment. Zero service.
Aditya Nimbkar
Too expensive and the food not being worth the price. The Veg. Handi was bland and Veg Patiala not as we'd expected. Butter Nan, priced at 105 bucks, was unpalatable and needed some efforts to chew it. Not recommended.

Shubham restaurant is located at Dadar east..
This outlet is famous for fast-food.. It is good for casual dine in.. Service is good also the staff is very friendly with the customers..
Must try it out!

To begin .
We ordered
1 - Paneer Chilli Dry
2 - Paneer Handi
3 - 6 x Sada Roti
4 - Jeera Rice
5 - Dal Tadka
#issue1
We ordered starters and sabji with rotis . The waiter was new and he didn’t even knew what to forward to the kitchen . He forgot to order Paneer Handi and we had to start eating our Rotis with Paneer chilli dry . On being asked about the Paneer handi we were told that he forgot , he’s new , blah blah blah ... But the main concern “ where is the handi wasn’t solved “ we had to recall the head waiter and repeat the order as if we are one of his dummy customers and we got plenty of time to spare .
#issue2
The rotis had some flour still on its rotis .
Rest food was amazing . Atleast they got something right .
But the biggest concern here was , they didn’t even served water in the beginning and when we asked for it . We were served water which stunk the smell of washing liquid / soap probably had some of the stains of that liquid in my water which I drank and led to an uneasy stomach .
These guys need to work on their management staff . BIG TIME . The staff looks baffled . My experience was spoiled due to series of bad events occurring in the hotel .
#issue3
Hygiene . They have poor condition of hygiene . The used tissues were lying on the table and below the table . On being asked to the hotel staff to clean it , we were given a deaf ear .
#issue4
The cost of the above order was 864₹ . For that experience I don’t think the hotel should be charging 864₹ . Overpriced and not at all up to the requirements .

#Pros .
They have good and tasty items which will make your taste buds go watery .

Ordered Mysore masala dosa which had little salt. We tried paneer kolfta. It was completely sweet but smoky flavor of milk. Onion uttapa was Ok. Price was on expensive side. Service was good.

Hello guys yesterday I visited to this place for the first time taking a thought that this place would be the best place to sit for a while with friends but no I was wrong. I've never been to such worst place. Food is quite ok, the instructions given to the waiters are very bad. Even the food is very expensive as compare to the hotel. Guys I will say you can visit the place only on your own risk

This is the worst ever hotel i have been. Visited yesterday with friends. As it was raining so we decided to sit in shubham hotel outside dadar station. We had
1 Medu Vada
1 Pav Bhaji
1 Paneer Chilli
2 Thumsup
1 Maza
3 Coffee
3 Chocolate mousse
Food was average not that great And the for this small things they charged us 1300. Service wasn't good the waiters were coming to see whether we finished or not as if they were in hurry and wanted us to go. Worst hotel. Will never go again. Not recommended at all.
Shweta

Today i visited this restaurant to have filter coffee. When i finished my cup, to my surprise I found residue of tea. When questioned staff, they were adamant that it's filter coffee residue not tea. They were not even ready to offer a fresh coffee. My objective of highlighting this issue on Zomato is not to spread hatredness, instead to spread awareness about such restaurant's hygiene factors. They don't even bother to clean their cutleries properly before serving. Over that, the height of their audacity is to prove customers are wrong and ignorant.
Saloni Pandya
Small hotel near dadar station, very convenient location. But they don't serve good quality food. Ordered very basic idli sambhar & mix wada sambhar. Idli and wada was very good. However, Sambhar was watery and spicy. Chutney was not even chutney, just water with little coconut. And they serve water with filter coffee in it. They forgot to add milk I guess. Not trying to be mean, but they're charging premium given their location so, minimum expectation is good sambhar and filter coffee. Very unhygienic too, and my expectations weren't high baat all, just a clean cup for coffee and hygienic glass of water. Staff is very polite and service is quick.
Wouldn't recommend to eat here. :(
Ps : pic is of good quality and coffee wasn't.
Shreyash Tapadiya
Good food very fast delivery and also the quality is very nice the main matter of fact is station is very close by so the service is very fast must try Tawa pulao and Pav Bhaji
Nirmit Thakkar
So costly one butter nan in AC cost rs 100 and that also not as eating as rubber type better to go to other place other than this. For serving also it took more time.
Shubham Athalye
Fast service.
Food is ok ok.
Near the station so quite convenient. If in a hurry and hungry.. you can easily afford this place.
Don't expect a personalized service.
I had a batatavada plate and medu vada. It was really crispy and delicious. Was spicy too but really delicious. I loved it! Service was okay.

This might be the 1st thing you see, as you get down at Dadar(East). Shumbham, is the peculiar type of restaurant, which you can find anywhere in the city. Ita close to the station, very affordable rates, serving average tasty food. It too, has a A/c section, for those looking to add a certain comfort level while enjoying their meal.

Normally, I would have given them a better rating, because it actually takes efforts to be average, but certain factors reduced their rating.

Went here for having a good snack one evening. Went for something catchy, TRIPPLE DECKER DOSA. It actually sounds very intresting, and the curosity gets the better of you. But the waiter sait it would easily take about 15-20 minutes to prepare this lavish dish, so to temporary silence our grumbbling tummies, we ordered MENDU WADA AND BATATA WADA.

The mendu wada was average, while batata wada wasnt something good. Being in Mumbai, you cant mess up batata wada. Come on!! Also, their chutney was judt white coloured water, where was their sambhar was absolute genius. Perfect temprature, thick and the amazing aroma and taste. One of the best sambhar I have ever had. The only reason I would visit them again, is purly for their sambhar.

Then finally came the Tripple Decker Dosa. Its very big in size, so you dont dare of ordering this if you are alone and just looking for a quick grub. So I instantly loved the concept, the presentation and the taste. Its basically a clud sandwich of dosas! There's Sada dosa on top, then a layer of tomatoes and onions, then crispy Rawa dosa along with some green chutney, then a layer of potato masala which is used for masala dosa. And the bottom most layer is again a sada dosa, with a spread of shezwan chutney making it spicy. Over all effect is admirable, and I dont see any reason to not love it! Amazing job!

Then when I asked for the bill, it showed 65 rupees for the 2 wadas, while in the menu it showed 55 rupees, and when I asked him why is this, then he said "Nai Menu main 65 hi h, aapko juna wala menu mila hoga." Also, they charged for the extra sambhar and chutney which you should complimentary with your dosa, and you do at all the places(except here that is!)

So these few factors earned them negative ratings, but the concept of tripple decker dosa and amazing flavourful sambhar compensated for it, almost!

Happy Burping!!!

Ovepriced... Expect large crowds there as it is just outside Dadar station. Service is also not upto the mark. Paying so much money is not worth it.

Good place... Service is not so good ... Too much crowded place because its nearby station.. I visit only when i go Out station from dadar..
Service 5/10
Food 7/10
Rahul Chavan
worst service ever no respect for customers irresponsible staff manager was bad at his words. will never suggest anyone to visit.food was worst.
Imran Mirza
Waste of money...a complete disappointment and a drastic experience. Prices are very high and taste is average. DO NOT ORDER IDLI HERE BECAUSE SAMBAR TASTE IS SIMPLY BAKWAS AND THAT TOO 2 IDLI THEY COST 85/-. The menu uploaded in Zomato is old one they have revised it.
Bhaskar Bhate
Good food. Great place for a snack before jumping aboard a train.. Just opposite dadar station. Reasonably quick service not a great place to have a sit down meal. Crowd is mostly people who are on the move.
Vaibhav Kursange
Just outside the station..
Crowd is mostly travellers...
Taste is good... they have AC n NON AC sections..
Service is good in AC Section, dont know about Non AC
Famous for Paav Bhaji and other Mumbai items...
Price is on little higher side as compare to other nearby restaurants...
Great food here. I wanted to eat here everyday after trying their meals one morning with Minakshi and John.
The samosas are too good. The Batata VADAS very tasty and service on point.
I will surely recommend this place.
Samruddhi Shetty
the sambhar is really awsum for this place i loved it...we had pav bhaji and masala dosa..the dosa was also not too spicy with proper taste on and all a good joint juz next to station....
Gerwin Dsouza
So here we have your typical Mumbai pure veg restaurant that offers a variety of food from South Indian to North Indian...I was waiting for a friend when I stopped by for a quick meal...I ordered a regular sada dosa and to my surprise it was ready in under 3-4 minutes even though the restaurant was full. Had a sweet lime juice wash it down too.

My sambhar rating for this place is 6/10.
Which is pretty decent :)
Chiranjeevee Gharde
Right next to dadar station.(major advantage)
Mushroom paneer is my personal favourite over here.
Other South Indian food is good.
Manchurian are okayish.
Roti is okok.
Ambience is ok again.
Affordable restaurant though.
Abdul Shariq

*Short Review*
Ive been to this place quite alot of times.
I am sure to visit this place every time i am in dadar. The restraunt is quite old and the ambience is the old school udpi restraunt types. They have 2 sections the groud floor section is Non-A/C and the the upper section is A/C. I prefer tge A/C section as its more calm and a peacefull section.

Coming to food-
Sada Butter Dosa- One of my fav place for sada dosa this is. The dosa is very crispy. Never disapoints me!!

Steamed Idli- Very soft and the big idli. Love the taste. Always served steaming hot with amazing coconut chutney and sambar!
You cant missout in their south indian food if you are here.

Tea- The tea is decent too. You will get a typical south indian taste in tea which stronge tea leaves flavour.

MeduVada & sambhar- Love the vada sambhar here. Served hot. I prefer to take a bowl in which i put the sambhar and dip the Medu Vada in it.

Upma- They some amazing upma made in desi ghee. Its sinful and pure bliss. A little sweet taste adds an amazing flavour to the upma. MUST TRY!!!!

Sheera- My friend is crazy about their sheera. Made in pure ghee. Perfect amount of sweetness and good quantity.

Overall i always enjoy the place. Prefer going here in the morning for breakfast.the food is excellent. Serve is decent too!
Nayanshree Mall
This is a good place for jain foodies, pure vegetarians and south Indian foodies. This place is so packed as it's near station. The price is reasonable and the food is tasty. Overall it's nice!
Rajendra B. Aklekar
The place looks crowded and cluttered, but walk up above in the AC Hall, which is spacious. Food is average. Have tried the south Indian dishes here of Rava Dosa and Idli. Good place for a quick bite just outside the station.
Avani Dedhia
Located just opp to dadar East station dese place serves only veg food
One of the best veg food serving resto in dadar
It has an upper AC section
U will always see crowd cuming over here
Specially evening resto is veri packed
Serves best South Indian food
I had tried South dishes more n also pav bhaji
Crowd is okai
Pocket friendly
Must visit it guys
Nevia Singhal
A very decent place to eat or to get To-Go food (parcels) when you are travelling from Dadar station.. i usually eat from here whenever i have to travel to chennai and wait at dadar station. People should definitely try to get the food from here instead of train food. The food is amazing and it is pretty cheap. Paneer butter masala, Dum aloo and sabudana vadas are amazing. Biryanis and pulao are good as they use very fine quality of basmati.. its very decent for mumbaikars who have to eat while travelling.. a mumbaikar restaurant.
Foodainment
A typical restaurant at a very good location. Just next to Dadar station and that too spacious.
The food here is decent. North Indian is good, pav bhaji is nice and fresh juices here are recommended.
R. D. (Lets Meet & Eat)
Another south indian resto, just outside Dadar station east, always packed. But I hate this restaurant, because I never saw such restaurant who cannot please their customer with good service. It all started with very less cheese in my cheese sada dosa. This never happened in other restaurants near by. Just because it is near to station this restaurant is going on. Kanjoos people. Just loot money and don't give proper food in respect of the cost they are charging. That also bigger then the other restaurants.
Aniket Gawade
Caramel custard was awesome to start with and end with the same but what disappointed was the triple decker dosa, the waiters were not knowing what that dosa is first of all and when it came, it was a total disappointment as it was overloaded with tomato and nothing else. So guys, if you do not like tomato, plz don't take this.. The sambhar, chutney was awesome to taste, but as it is said a restaurant is a good place when it serves the purpose and makes their customer happy. This wasn't the place for me
Abhimanyu Chavan
The place is at the perfect spot outside one of the busiest stations in Mumbai. It is crowded during the peak hours. The ambience, interiors and the food is average. Just the location of the restaurant makes people visit this joint.
There are not many good options outside Dadar (East) station. Shubham is a better option among most of the other restaurants.
Vijay Jadhav
Just cos it is opp to dadar stn we prefer. We went on friday 25 sept 2015 at 10.30 pm it was crowded tables were not clean neither the glass provided for drinking water. We order paneer tikka masala and veg kolhapuri. The food was ok at this price and till now i ws happy but after i finished my food i ordered for thumsup and seperate glass for it. The staff got some plastic glasses for all six people and when thumsup ws poured in glass the upper layer of thumsup was white we thought it must me company fault but after my arguement with staff he told he jus half clean that glass which was they served buttermilk to other customer and dts y thumsup reacted in that glass. I took matter to resto manager he didnt bothered to apoligise then to the owner on the counter even he didnt reply. We didnt consumed thumsup that they knew but they charged me for the same also they didnt apologise. My sincere request to all people going there please avoid this nasty place there are better options in this area. So the staff ws nt polite no food and place was hygeine neither management respect thier customers.

This restaurant is always buzzing with people, at it is just outside Dadar Railway station, on eastern side,i.e. side of central railways of dadar. I have been to this place, many a times, since my engineering days.
There are two sections to this place, non-AC one on ground, and A/C section on first floor. The seating capability is fine enough, so does seating arrangements in this place. Its a quite big restaurant, if you consider the locality of it. The price listing on menu, here on zomato, seems old one, as rates have been spiked up quite a bit when I last visited this place. So, be ready to make way for some more money if you are in for proper lunch or dinner for 2, it can very well go up to Rs. 700.
So, coming to menu at last, lets start with starters, pav bhaji, rawa paper dosa, mysore masala dosa, with good enough tasty sambar, masala uttapam are ones to try out. Though, saddening part is, they charge you for extra sambar/chutney.
In indian starters, veg seekh kebab, are fine enough to taste, and worst of all, is masala papad, which many of us like to order, to pass time of main course. It is really really disappointing, note: do not order it, else, its your own risk. Plain cold papad, topped with frozen cut onion and tomato slices, cut like they are made to suffer. real bad, bland in taste as well. I have tried it 3 times in total till date, and every time, it was worse than earlier.
In chinese menu, veg manchow soup, veg crispy, paneer 65 and veg triple schezwan rice, can be tasted, of the long list of dishes given on menu. veg Manchow soup was particularly I liked on multiple occasions, but not on last visit.
Coming to main course now, in sabji, veg bhuna, veg nawabi, are the costlier of them, but worth ordering enough, as this restaurant though, it has wide range of cuisine dishes, still feels like udipi restaurant. Amongst others, paneer lajawab, veg maharaja and veg peshawari, could be chosen. In rice, best yet simple, is jeera rice, then comes, dal khichdi, paneer handi biryani. Chapati is the best bet among breads, followed by tandoori roti, made of wheat, and then paratha.
This is a descent enough restaurant, to have food, when you are hungry, done with your travel, or grab quick bite, before starting journey.
Sanidhya Dubey
With almost a ton visits, this place is hotspot for quick bite. Service is excellent, whereas food is OK. Located just outside dadar station, it gets its advantage. Always crowded, crampy place to sit and eat. Ambience has no play for such places, still is decent. Must try- Ceg kolhapuri, dal tadka, chole bhature.
Food- 3*
Service- 3.5*
Ambience- 2.5*
Value for money-3*
Overall- 3*
Subhajit Paul
Situated opposite to dadar railway station... Food is ok.... Its always crowded with people. Service is quick... Must try cheese paw bhaji its very tasty....
Ajit Rajandran
Its close to exist step of Dadar station. So you can always seen crowded. Menu is as usual to the rest of the restaurant. Mixer of south Indian and north Indian food. I just simply ordered Medu wada sambhar. Nothing peculiar about the same. Just visit to have a light snacks food.
George Anthraper
This is not the kind of restaurant which a food lover would hunt down and have food from. Rather this is a place where you would have food from if you happen to get down at the dadar station ? ... It's a pretty normal restaurant with a normal food. But being the closest veg. Restaurant to the railway station, it attracts a lot of people. Food ain't bad though. And behind this is a famous temple.
GA's suggestion : Masala Dosa
Aditya Thakur
Nice food.... gravy dishes are good...nice paneer biryani, paneer tikka..ambience is quite low..service is cool ..very near to dadar east stn..
Vinny D
Nothing special to write here location is the king out here step out of dadar station and step in to this hotel. Usual fare a mix of South Indian pav bhaji and stuff. Places like this do business not on there merit but on the basis of where exactly are they located and so the saga continues.
Sandhya N
Extremely popular, crowded but our experience was fun!!

We came just in time to grab a bite before we could board a train to Nashik at around 1 pm; it looked packed but we got a table (shared with 2 older uncles).

Now with only 10 min at our disposal coffee was the only thing we could possibly order, pav bhaji etc can wait until next time

The coffee was good; typical south indian filter coffee!!

Waiting to be back for more....
Gaurav Deshmukh
Regular food destination.

1st Impression : Good. crowded always being in vicinity of Dadar-The father of all stations in Mumbai,
Seating : Congested, Less seating space ye nicely managed
Service : Ok. Order execution lead time is high specially during peak hours.
Hygiene : Lesser hygiene
Variety: Long list gives you a large variety to choose from
Presentation : Its just ok, may be 2.5/5.
Taste :Taste is OK, some regular dishes are good.
Quantity : Quantity is good, 3.5/5 rating.
Pocket Punch : Low priced, perfect for regular stuff.
Must try : as per choice, didnt find anything special etc.

Overall OK, just like regular lunch home.

Good restaurant near dadar station. It has all types of food except thali. The restaurant should have thali.

Visit only if you are really hungry and dont want to move any further than that as you may have a train to catch.Have been there a few times but all when I was too lazy to go anywhere else. Have both AC and Non AC sections of which you normally would get a comfortable place in AC only. Ordered Manchow soup (not that good and they charge you for fried noodles) Idli Vada (made me feel of it as udipi, nicely made) and Crispy (dont dare to taste it, too salty, infact sea type salty) on my last visit. The bill for these 3 went to 500+. Not worth it. You can miss it.

I tried this place for the first time a couple of months ago, all thanks to the Indian railways for delaying my early morning train by 4 hours. It was 6:30 am in the morning, and I was damn hungry. I went out for a casual stroll outside Dadar station, and found this place.

A safe bet at any newly discovered place is a plate of idli sambhar. I simply loved it, and called my folks immediately to join me for breakfast. Then we ordered a couple of other things like Butter rava sada dosa, which was awesome in taste, and full of cashewnuts which I love. The coconut chutney is wonderfully prepared, and the sambhar is near perfect.

The prices are reasonable , and the dishes totally worth the money. Must try restaurant if you are hungry and around Dadar station.
