Review China Gate Restaurants Private Limited - Mumbai

We had a very fine dining experience at the Chinagate. Everything from the service of the staff and food was really great πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I had my first try at Sushi and as well as tasted their wasabi. I was expecting wasabi to taste really spicy like our indian chillies but wasabi has a really strong, punchy rooty flavour with a hint of spice. We also tried their lobster and it's a must try!

China gate has always had good vibes and good food. Rebecca showed us to our tables and was very welcoming. The drinks are good, the service is good and staff is prompt.

Overall, this Chinese restaurant truly impressed me with its delicious cuisine, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Chinese flavors in a memorable setting. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were happy to make recommendations based on our preferences, especially Mr. Gautam. They made sure every detail of our dining experience was taken care of.

Amazing Chinese restaurant on the main link road Andheri just besides tapπŸ˜‚ I just loved everything about this place right from the seating arrangements to the placing of food counters. It's very suitable for a couple or a large families They serve amazing fish variety at an very reasonable rate along with one non alcoholic drink included in buffet I found mixed fish soup quiet avarage as compared other starters and main course as they were yummy and very very tasty Even in dessert s they offer variety of ice creams with toppings, pastries, halwa s and few other deserts 😁 Cost for two for lunch buffet including taxes is 1900 which is a steal according to me😁 I had an amazing experience over here

Very nice Chinese restaurant. Used to be on the 1st floor and they have recently moved to the ground. Plenty of seating for small and large groups. Staff is friendly and professional. Food - starters are great and a wide variety. 5 Veg and 5 Non-veg. There are plenty of rounds to go around to the point that the main buffet food goes untouched. Desserts are also a wide variety. A good reasonably priced place with good quality food.

Tonight’s dinner for 4 of us from China Gate Ordered Takeaway from China Gate @ Juhu Gym khaana club & the food was very good. My Veg order was as follows :- 1. Veg Manchow Soup - Rs 165 /- With noodle flakes - Chunky mushroom pcs, Flavours well balanced but I found it less spicy & oily. 2. Chilly Garlic Noodles- Rs 220 approx Noodles were soft & not over cooked , sauces well mixed & spices quotient was just right . They gave schezwan, hot chilli & vinegar sauces so you can mix it & modify it as per your needs I usually add a bit of schezwan & chilly sauce to spice it up . Detailed Experience :- 1) Packaging - Decently Packaged & there were No spills when delivered πŸ‘ 2) Preparing Time - 20 mins ( Fair enough ) 3) Food was Hot / Cold - Food was hot πŸ‘ 4) Quality - Decent ( soup could def improve ) 5) Quantity - Decent Portion per order 6) VFM - 4/5 Rs 425 /- for two items (good value for money)πŸ‘ Noodles were great but Manchow soup was average. Ordered again a couple of days back Veg Hot n Sour & Penne in mixed sauce . Superb Have the Hot n Sour Soup instead of Manchow. CG offers decent Chinese Food @ great prices. I will definitely try out other items from their menu. Regards

I visited the newly opened andheri west branch of china gate today. Hospitality was top notch. Each & every employee of china gate andheri west branch was so good at their job. Food was really good. Mr. Virendra was very helpful, best at his work. I have never seen this kind of hospitality in any restaurant. They made us feel like home, comfortable. Ambience is top notch, Must visit. This has become definitely my best branch of china gate .

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant. I am not a Chinese fan at all but this hotel made me love Chinese food. I eat Chinese food only at China gate. It is located at Prime location, between infinity mall and PVR, above Tap Bar. Easily seen while you pass from link road. You get greeted by staff as soon as you step out of lift on the first floor. Ambience is nice and it has 3 sections. View is also nice. They serve cocktails and drinks on special trolly. Food is carried by staff themselves. Salad is very attractive and tasty. Before you get your order, you finish half of the salad. Soup taste is best in the Mumbai. Few times I have visited this restaurant just to have soup over there....! Food is always tasty, wherever you order. Certainly a place to be visited again and again.

Satya is an exceptional server, alongwith all the other staff at this restaurant. The food is also very good. Must try.

I ordered the food from my friends phone at Belmont Apartment and the food was absolutely horrendous. Ordered for the chicken sweet corn soup, which is the most basic dish I believe and somehow you guys even managed to make that taste horrible. Other than that, I ordered pan fried noodles and it tasted like plastic. The chicken was so undercooked I could hear it crying for mercy. Being such an old chain I’m honestly shocked how the food can be so disappointing.

Was very disheartened...ordered food frm China Gate..3 portions of Hakka noodles ,3portions of Thai curry n 3 portions of corn water chestnut...corn was completely stale n smelling awe full...called up China Gate lokhandwala n told them..but totally astonished when the person incharge had no response to my complain n rudely said plz write whatever review u would like to write on Zomato inspite of being sorry...asked his name aswell but no response...The quality of food is pathetic...No stars..to China GateπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

This restaurant claims WHO standard safety measures, not sure if i should laugh ir cry about it. We ordered food, hunan chicken and fried rice using zomato.<br/>The delivery person comes with a open<br/> container with half the gravy spilled, i refuse the delivery and he humbly takes it back.<br/>I called China Gate to understand how they pack their food with the boxes not sealed or paper packed in the least in these times of so called contactless delivery they claim about.<br/>The person on the phone (Panda) dismisses my complaint saying they cant do anything as it is zomato<br/>I agree zomato is at fault too but<br/>1. China Gate has selected them as their service partner and cant just wash their hands off their responsibility <br/>2. If the food container was packed/ sealed correctly this could have been avoided.<br/>China Gate behaves like a local joint. It was a shameful experience. Please revisit your claims for safety norms.

It’s been more then 2 and a half hours, they don’t pick up the phones to give you an update. The one time out of 10 calls that they picked, they said the food has left, and that was an hour ago. Worst service ever.

Have been ordering from China Gate for years. But today we had a very bad experience with the order taker who is also the Manager Deepak. Our order was Korean Noodles with Round Noodles instead of the Flat ones. However, Deepak flatly refused this request. We tried to explain that it only involved a change in the Noodles, but to no avail. Deepak was adamant and kept referring to this request as a recipe change which it clearly isn’t. Told Deepak that we have ordered Korean Noodles with Round Noodles from them on multiple occasions in the past and have never encountered any issues. Very disappointed with this entire episode and Deepak’s attitude. Our dinner plans were ruined.

We ordered some food from China gate. While placing order on line we specifically asked not to put certain items in the food ordered. This was RECONFIRMED over phone to one mr. Maan. This was because once earlier also they did not follow the instructions.<br/> To our shock we found again that one of the items which we had asked NOT to put was put in the food. on complaining on phone to mr. Maan and his superior mr Deepak they merely said sorry and said this happens some times. The soup also did not look or taste like what we had ordered. this shows the casual approach of chinagate to customers. Mr Deepak also refused to give details of higher ups to complain to. most disappointing experience happening more than once. People should think twice before ordering from this rest.b

I always been following Chinagate for their delicious Chinese dishes. This is the only place we visit for delicious Chinese dishes. They cook the food with a great taste and nice presentation. <br/>Keep up the good work guys!!

I ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Mushroom Bamboo shoot vegetables in an Oyster sauce because the first time I ate it, it was lovely. Today the Chicken Fried Rice had no chicken and Mushrooms Bamboo shoot had no two Mushrooms and NO Bamboo shoot. And it is expensive. This is cheating. Cannot think of a good reason to order from you again.

Cooking instructions not followed despite reminding on phone. Very spicy. Had lotus rice had mushroom

We ordered for a home delivery of crispy spinach paneer- the paneer was there but the spinach was missing
The Hangree Appetite
It is located near Infinity Mall Andheri.<br/>They have a la'carte as well as buffet system.<br/>So we choosed buffet. The welcome drink they serve was very nice that is chatka orange (fresh orange juice served with pudina nd seven up)thus giving a very fresh taste. The served many starters such a chicken, basa fish, prawns, crispy corn, dumplings all of them were good, followed by main course and desserts with n number of options.<br/><br/>Overall it was a good experience at affordablw price.

Very bad veg hakka noodles. Stale vegetables. And overpriced for such bad food. Noodles were smelling of egg

A Good Chinese Restaurant in Andheri, Lokhandwala. Every food item is pleasant and good in taste but can be better. Price to Value ratio is not good in all honesty. Standard Food Item should always be ordered like Hakka Noodles, Lollipop, Chill Chicken. Don't go for something different as it won't anything like you expect. Good for extreme occasional visits.

A beautiful infrastructure located at good and peaceful place.<br/>Enjoyable foods with good taste and fresh food.<br/>Services are also too good<br/>Ans staff was also come operating.<br/>Tasty food πŸ΄πŸ•πŸ”<br/>Visit with Friends and πŸ‘¨πŸ‘¦πŸ‘§πŸ‘©πŸ‘΄πŸ‘΅<br/>Seating is comfortable and also infrastructures are too good.<br/>I like these place to Visit again

China gate is a casual dining restaurant which has multiple outlets. I was hanging out in lokhandwala on a weekend afternoon and visited here for lunch. Alcohol menu is decently priced specially if you prefer beer. It's a no brainer that Chinese was on our ordering list. Food prices too are pretty much in an affordable range which makes China gate a good place to visit.

Good options of food..... tasty and yummy chinese as ever.... black pepper chicken was spicy than usual.... however taste wise food is good!!! Must visit place... not much options of desserts but chocolate mousse is something you will love ❀️<br/>

This used to be amongst my fav places many years ago and I visited china gate after 5 long years to enjoy a good meal. While eating we noticed the food tasted off but I put it down to coming to the restaurant after 5 years and so maybe I’ve forgotten the taste. As soon as we got home, my mother fell ill, started sweating profusely and since then has been down with a food infection. Very bad experience, I’m certainly never going to visit the place again, the quality standards have certainly dropped.

The food was very bad. The chicken was not cooked. Found a hair in the food alos. Very bad. Fly in the restarant.... Will never go again....

Had been year few years back and loved the food. Decided to go for dinner to China gate with an expectation of the food being great just like it was years back. To my surprise the food taste has detoriated terribly. We had pepper chicken gravy, burnt garlic rice, bbq chicken, momos and treaded chicken. Honestly each and every dish was bland. The waiter said it was medium spicy, when the dishes has no spice or rather taste at all. Left from the restaurant with disappointment and a promise to myself of never visiting the place again

Had the lunch Buffet here and I was so impressed with all the variety of non vegetarian starters served to me... really filling and amazing variety..the drink was good as well..the main course was quite apt and the deserts were too good...the staff was very efficient and the overall service was excellent...definitely worth the money and worth recommending it as well !!! Keep it up...πŸ˜‹πŸπŸ₯ŸπŸ€πŸ₯—πŸ²πŸ°πŸΉ

Our actual rating would be 4.5<br/>Having tried their buffet as well as home delivery, it is safe to say that are remarkable for both their taste and service.<br/><br/>*Avoid* crispy corn home delivery since it tends to get soggy. 🌽<br/><br/>Rest everything is delicious, especially the dumplings and carrot cake in buffet πŸ˜‹πŸ°πŸ₯Ÿ

Asian being an all time favourite in the family, after an exhaustive day of wedding shopping we decided to go to China gate yet again . Not surprised with the quality of food, it never does disappoint. We tried the crispy chicken which was a Delight to the tummy and the staff was very courteous with a special thanks to Mr.Santosh , he offered some of the best grilled chicken that I have tried in a while. Do try the pan Asian noodles as well <br/>A definite must visit again for their buffet probably with my extended family ! :) <br/>Thank you for a lovely afternoon meal

So it was 9 after we left the cinema hall. Hobbs and Shaw was great. But now we wanted something better. So we planned to hog on to some Chinese. Infact, a lot of Chinese. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹<br/>Wandering on the streets of Lokhandwala, this place caught our eye and the aroma just pulled us in.<br/><br/>Our reception couldn't be more warm and courteous. Got seats of our choice and everything went swift and food was served quick. Just what we wanted. The need of the hour was fulfilled.<br/>And the ambience... Did we just check in to Beijing?<br/><br/>But we, typical desis, we asked for "timepass", schezwan rice and manchurian. πŸ˜‚<br/>And ofcourse, 1 out of the 3 wasn't available. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You know what...<br/>But, but, but, this time, we wanted to end up this "Thumbs-Up-with-chinese" culture with some "Tuborg-with-chinese". It was hella good. But no, cannot replace Thumbs up. I mean, it is ok once in a while to drink a pint instead. But not on a regular basis.<br/><br/>Bonus point: we ordered manchurian twice and the second serving didn't taste as amazing. So they gave us a plate of free dessert to compensate. πŸ˜‹ Picture attached.<br/><br/>What to eat:<br/>1 - Schezwan Fried Rice<br/>2 - Veg Manchurian<br/>3 - Goes great with a pint of Tuborg<br/>4 - These small cakes they sarve. Don't know the name.πŸ˜‹<br/><br/>What not to try:<br/>1 - Maybe a second serving of manchurian. Atleast not with gravy. The gravy was very strong. Not really satisfying.<br/><br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Staff: 5/5<br/><br/>Overall: 4.3/5

May be this is a varation OF MAINLAND CHINA<br/>The food is really good so is the amniance and the crowd.yhe staff is humble and the location is preety good.<br/>Over all the place is almost full but with a few minutes wait you mite get some seat

I was at this nice restaurant for dinner last Monday. I was with a friend of mine and was looking for places around to grab something. This place caught our attention and we got in. Once we got in, we saw elegant and minimal decor, which was nice. They have a huge amount of seating, which started filling in as we enjoyed our meal. The whole place was very quiet to talk about important stuff. Their staff was also not very intrusive and they won't bug you if you don't require anything.<br/><br/>We ordered Assorted Crispy Veg and Green Thai Curry with steamed rice. Their quantity was very good and we had to make efforts to finish crispy veg. Also, I found that item a little oily. The Thai curry was very nice and went very nicely with the rice.<br/><br/>To accompany our meal, we ordered Melon Dew and Spice Ginger Punch. I really loved Ginger Punch but Melon Dew was more sweet than tangy.Β Β <br/><br/>In the end, they just show up with assorted cheesecakes and we were confused why. They mentioned that it is just for display and if we want anything, we found it a little funny. Overall it was a good experience. If you want to grab average things and a quiet environment, this can be an option.<br/><br/>Food: 3 star<br/>Ambience: 3 star<br/>Service: 3 star<br/>Price: 3 star

Always our go to place for best Chinese in andheri....I think the menu is nice and extensive and quality is really good... the safest bet...
Reeva Sinha
Service was pathetic. They took more than an hour to serve the starters and still we didn't get all the starters we really wanted to have. Never coming back for sure.<br/>
Rajiv.ewc
Awful experience. Service too bad. We waited for more than 90 minutes for our dimsums to be served. And equally for the fish starter to be served. The brunch out here on Sundays should be avoided. It's not a buffet but served on table. So it's nice that way but the service is so poor that you are at the mercy of the waiters to get the food you are paying for. Not worth the experience.
Harsh Gupta
Always a delight going to China gate. The service is absolutely top class so is the food. The buffet is perfect, the varieties are not a plenty but the taste makes up for it. Its quality chosen over quantity. China Gate is Value for money
HONEST REVIEWS
Me myself ordered triple shwezwan rice which was fllabergasting.... And i must say that the taste was so awesome that i still feel the taste on my tongue while writing this review

I ordered today chicken shezwan and the quality of chicken was pathetic, stale in taste and black in color the pieces are all black . After calling China gate to report this the person suresh on phone is confronting me that it’s fresh snd this is what I will get if replaced, day by day the quality of food and standard is going down of china gate , had heard of it but experienced today

Amazing food quality and ambience. Buffet spread and quality is super. Staff is also courteous and knowledgeable.... Prefer this to Mainland China any day

Chinagate has been my all time favourite and it will never disappoint you. Don't miss their crispy thread chicken or paneer, crackling spinach with baby corn & paneer (thank you Mr.Santosh for suggesting this)in starters, then prawns chilli garlic, hakka noodles, exotic veggies in Hunan sauce in the mains and date pancake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Service is superb, food is great value for money. Their portions are much better than other joints. Think of Chinese, look no further.

This place is very much amazing if you are a true Chinese lover and love authentic Chinese food being in India. My favorite dish from this place is BBQ chicken and conriander pot noodles. My next dish to try at this place should be the roasted duck. Also the staff is very friendly and hospitable with a great ambience of course it's always cheerful to visit this place.<br/>I would highly recommend China Gate to everyone.<br/><br/>My Ratings.<br/><br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Service: 5/5<br/>Ambience:4/5<br/>Hospitality: 5/5<br/>Value for money: 4/5<br/>

Love this restaurant it has amazing variety of dishes and one that I'll recommend is lotus leaf rice it tastes amazing with all those veggies and also the dim sums are great. It's nice that the prices are moderate. Looking forward to order more.<br/>

I went with my family for a birthday dinner, staff is courteous and service is good, we tried chicken manchow soup, chicken chilli garlic for starters, pot rice, jumbo prawns in butter garlic (flat prawn-2 pieces), quality is ok, price is just fine, 700rs for 2 pieces of prawn, overall it was a good experience
Rohan Dayal
It's a perfect place for a family outing on any weekend or weekday the service is very good and the ambience is also very pleasant the people who are there are really sweet

China Gate got the fundamentals wrong. The ambience, staff, options etc were all great save the quality of the ingredients served. The stuffed fish was clearly one too many days old. Gave off a stench. The staff courteously replaced the dish with Hunan Chicken which was yet again stale but not stench level stale. May be that qualifies here.<br/>And we could make out the difference even more clearly because ingredients in their other items were super fresh.<br/>This is the nth time that a seemingly upscale place has served poor ingredients in Mumbai. A pretty noticeable trend. Either way, never going back to China Gate again or recommending it.

We regularly order food from here, but today we ordered coriander pot noodles and veg manchow soup which was absolutely stale and tasteless.. We complained to the customer care person Mr Inder who asked us to return the ordered food.. We were shocked to get a response from his side that the food was absolutely fine "As per the chef" And used words like "apne 4 chammach toh wapis bheja" after we sent back more than half the order which had been tasted by a group of people. Such uncivilized and unprofessional behaviour was not expected from this restaurant which we visit regularly, and also order regularly from.
Rajib Ghose
Peking Duck is on the menu but up on enquiring I was told that they serve it on occasions. They should not keep it in the regular menu. Items that are always available should be on the menu and special items should be kept separate.

Used to go here for the buffets and the oriental dishes the Thai curry was my mom's favourite overall this restaurant is good for family dinners and get togethers

Since it was Chinese New Year week decided to try the lunch buffet at China gate Andheri... reached with wife and kid and was promptly given table as we were early and place was quite empty. We ordered the veg lunch buffet which started with manchow soup which was thick and full of mushrooms and other vegetables and tasted quite nice. For the appetisers they served the following :<br/>Corn and water chestnuts - 4/5 crispy and slightly spicy<br/>Veg manchurian dry - 3/5 was a bit hard prefer it to be soft and succulent <br/>Dry paneer starter - 4/5 quite good and paneer was quality was nice<br/>Momos - 4/5 the cheese momos were melt in mouth and tasted superb <br/>some Nest paneer - 1/5 no taste was bland with dry noodles around it, the paneer quality was good<br/>Stir fry veggies- 4/5 tasted simple and veggies were fresh and crisp<br/><br/>For main course we had the following<br/>Mix veg fried rice - 4/5 old school fried rice very tasty<br/>Chilli garlic gravy- 4/5 nice and tangy went well with the fried rice<br/>Green thai curry - 5/5 never disappoints star of the day<br/>Flat noodles - 4/5 very nice and juicy with veggies <br/><br/>The desserts were pretty ok in fact only chocolate mousse seemed good rest all not that great and the ice cream was pretty bad and we gave feedback to the manager to have good quality ice cream like baskin Robbins so that the meal finishes on a high note.<br/>Service was pretty good and food was good Specially starters and main course except for the desserts which needs to be revamped specially the ice cream which was not at all edible...<br/><br/>Mainland China offers good deserts maybe they can take a leaf from their book and the same here...

A restaurant experience is never ONLY about food. It's to do with service, ambiance, feeling welcomed and above all feedback specially when they take 5min of your time after meal to comment on the overall experience. <br/><br/>Here I will not mention food as Chinese food is one of the most common cuisines avaliable and the taste and presentation is standard nothing to shout aloud. <br/><br/>But I have been a patron of this brand for over 15years and the people who have been employed lately leaves me NOT wanting to dine here. <br/><br/>I did complain about this in a email too. But they chose to ignore. Fair enough maybe the market is to competitive to spend a little more on cultured staff or to send them for training, whatever your issues are you'll would need to invest a little more in the above mentioned area for me or many others like me to come back. <br/><br/>Just to let you'll know..the roadside Chinese chef who also prepares the dish and serves with a smiling face just wants to know if he has made us happy.. It's never about the sale it's about me coming back to him for more. He builds clients by giving respect. <br/><br/>What we're you'll thinking while ignoring my predicament baffles me. <br/><br/>A warning to readers.. Food you will get.. The rest what should come with a restaurant experience "you'll are on your own"<br/>

It’s week day lunch time and then buffet is one that will come to our mind.<br/>China gate is one very close to my office.<br/><br/>LOCATION: it is very conveniently located on the Link Road . The area is little bit messy due to work on the Mumbai Metro.<br/>We walked across to the restaurant, knowing that the parking is the issue in these area particularly due to the metro work.<br/><br/>Ambience: 9/10<br/>Taste: 9/10<br/>Service : 9/10<br/>Value for money: 9/10<br/><br/>As it was buffet system, a complimentary drink was offered to us. We enjoyed to have red wine along with the starter which were served to us.<br/>The range of starter was very wide and include dumblings, fried chicken , and offcourse my favourite fried prawns. These all were served with chutney and we really enjoyed a lot.<br/>The service was really quick, there were just waiting for you to ask and it was being served.<br/>We have so much in the starter that we feel that there was no need to have main course.<br/>However we decided to little bit of main course.<br/>We just took fried rice and chicken.<br/>All were fabulous in taste.<br/>Then it came the turn of deserts and all of them mouthwatering.<br/>We were having limited time for the lunch but we enjoyed every seconds of it.<br/>The staff really so helpful and courteous that they made our lunch very special.<br/>Thanks to the management team<br/><br/>Final verdict: you must try the buffet at China gate.<br/><br/><br/>

I’ll start off with the positives. The place has a great ambience and the staff provides an excellent service. The place plays incredibly great music and serves delicious mocktails. Unfortunately that was it for me. My lamb wasn’t cooked properly and my dessert seemed stale. I think it’s very wrong to pass on stale food on the tables and I’d request the management to take extra care that such incidents shouldn’t happen.

I went to this place on new year’s eve due to few recommendations. The place has valet and overall the ambience is good. The staff is courteous and helpful. Now coming to food, we had chicken lemon coriander soup and chicken corn soup. This was followed with chicken dumplings, grilled chicken burnt and pepper chicken. For the main course, we had sea food hakka noodles, chicken fried rice and Hunan chicken. Finally ended the meal with Tiramisu and chocolate pastry. I personally liked the pepper chicken and tiramisu. Overall, the place is good and worth a visit again. I just wish the prices were not jacked up during New Year’s Eve.

This is my favourite place to order for Chinese food. I love their Veg Manchurian gravy or dry. Also their Hakka noodles, American chopsuey, dumplings are wonderful. Whenever I come to Mumbai for a visit...I have to eat from here.

Never step into a restaurant if it has q lunch buffer. Lesson learned when I came to China Gate for lunch this afternoon. No one at the reception, nobody guiding us to a table. One lady came in 10 mins and then went away without doing anything. Then we were given a table and then no one came to even serve water for another 15 mins. As we were ready to walk out the waiter actually told us to do so.<br/><br/>Fortunately the manager kept his wits about himself and intervened personally. And then served us himself. The food is a bit above average Chinese but the services needs an overhaul.<br/><br/>The buffet patrons had to wait repeatedly for dishes and some of them were downright upset about the whole experience.

China gate is a popular chain of restaurants spread across Mumbai and this outlet is situated on the first floor of Royal Plaza just off the Andheri Link road. China Gate as the name suggests are specialist in Chinese cuisine but they also serve Indian food. China Gate combines both cultures having a variety of addictive flavors and serves the best versions of these to their patrons.<br/><br/>The menu is quite extensive and makes you feel hungry just by looking at it. A wide selection with reasonable prices China Gate provides a high quality Chinese dining experience without burning a hole in the pocket. The ambience is warm, quite spacious and makes for a perfect place to take family or friends for a delicious and filling meal.<br/><br/>Have been there multiple times for a-la-carte as well as buffet and have always had an enjoyable and satisfying experience. The seafood starters, dumplings as well as the pot rice are personal favorites. The Indian desserts are not to be ignored and are incredibly scrumptious. The food is always top notch and has an authentic Cantonese infusion. The mocktails and other beverages are also well curated and go well with the course.<br/><br/>The service is amazingly quick and welcoming. They have offers going on all year round in terms of discount and bulk buffet deals which make the place even more worthy of a visit.<br/><br/>China Gate definitely stands out as the ideal place to enjoy Chinese cuisine with a contemporary twist. Will surely recommend !!

Great food.. basil chicken , burnt garlic pot rice - the subtle neat flavour of different spices is still lingering on my taste buds.. Thai Green curry was also fine, but ypu have better specialist joints for Thai .. look forward to explore more from your menu. #Zinda2eat

struck off my list. crabmeat soup had an irky fishy smell and taste to it (like it was stale). the roast lamb and chilli sauce just seemed like they were tossed together. the chicken wantons and satay were just about edible

Visited the place with the family for Lunch buffet! Been here several times and it's been one of our favourite.<br/><br/>The buffet is reasonably priced. The variety and quality of food is one of the best in the city amongst the buffet. Best was the Crab meat soup and crispy corn. Loved it! The service was quick considering we were a large group. Good job there!<br/><br/>The only negative thing this time was the desserts. There wasn't much variety as it used to be earlier. They need to improve on that front.<br/><br/>Overall a nice experience with good ambience, food and price!

Had Chilly chicken and Chicken dumplings here, but was utterly disappointed with the taste. The chicken had an extremely foul odour and a bad taste. Left almost all of it. The momos were horrible too. Never going here again.

We had ordered, Schezwan Noodles 3/5 and Minty Melon Cooler 5/5. Schezwan noodles were less spicy, and if you like spicy then you have to mention it. The Minty Melon Cooler was refreshing and had very good taste. Overall, this place is worth visiting.

Visited today for Lunch Buffet. Fed refried, stale starters. Very oily and spicy. Main course almost non existant, stale food served. Even the desserts were stale. Brownies were absolutely dry. Except the service, nothing worth writing home about.

Used to be the it place for authentic Chinese in Bombay but unfortunately the taste has become very indianish. The good is good no doubt but not as good as it used to be. The best thing is the buffet prices here which saves the grace for China gate.

It’s the worst restaurant to order online. They don’t deliver on time ever. And the manger doesn’t know how to speak to the customer, they think as if they are giving food for free.
Dimple Bhandari
Very poor customer service. One has to be very patient to speak to the order takers. Either systems are very outdated coz I have to repeat my address every time I order. Only food keeps me stuck to China Gate. Not great experience otherwise

By far the worst Chinese food! Stale Manchow soup, crisp corn and grilled chicken that was smelly. So much that we left the food & asked for the bill and walked out without completing what was supposed to be our family dinner!! Both myself and my son had to puke post this outing ! What was surprising was the restaurant didn’t even ask us why we left our dinner incomplete! Pathetic place...Date - 12th September, 2018
