The yummiest Chicken pattice/puff. I just love it so much. I have been eating since 20+ years now since childhood. Taste is still the same. Every sunday the Pattice wala uncle would come with the Red Box on his head and wait for us to come buy. Will miss him, may his soul rest in peace.

The one place which is very famous for it's Rich Plum Cake in Mumbai but very few people know about it. I recently visited Vienna Bakery for this amazing Plum Cake.
Also I got some Cake for my family and friends and they simply loved it. I definitely recommend Plum Cake lovers to try this Cake from Vienna Bakery.
I, visited the Bakery today morning as I had to pick up Some Pattice for a function at home. Got so Tempted because of the aroma coming out of the kitchen. So I had a few before I heading home. While placing the order at the bakery, I saw another bread item which looked delicious . So I immediately ordered those also, The Bread items were too salty for my liking which I immediately informed the person who served me those bread items who in turn spoke to the person sitting at Cash Counter which I think was the owner of the Bakery.
What remained with me is I was not asked any questions regarding the product. I was fully refunded immediately the for the product which were salty. Not all Bakeries to do this. Really, Impressed with the way Vienna Bakery Conduct their Business. Keeping Customer First Always and Acknowledging the Feedback of the Customers.
I often go to this bakery for a quick bite. The rolls, paties, mini pizza, sudal, sandwiches, farsan items, and other food items are good enough and tasty.
The cakes, chocolate items, sweets, etc. are average.
This place is absolutely economical and inexpensive. Worth it totally !! This is probably one of the best bakeries in Vakola.
There's no sitting place, they do have fans and semi tables to keep your food and eat while standing.

One of the oldest bakeries in Santa Cruz it makes great plum cake and chicken pattice. You should also try their pastries banana chips, tomato Chakli, and savoury bread items.

Vienna Bakery is a 5 minute drive from SantaCruz railway station located behind St. Anthony's Church.
The staff service at the bakery is great. Very prompt and polite at the same time. They make sure people visiting the bakery are very well heard and responded.
You can take away or also eat it at spot. They have provided standing tables.
When it comes to ambience, they have decent interiors done within the bakery. Overall decor is amazing. The deserts and the bakes are two different sections of the bakery.
The bakery provides services parking which is for limited period and restricted to only two wheelers.
This place is flooded with lazy people who want great food with zero efforts. Haha. Chicken Sudal, Chicken Roll, Chicken Pattice, etc are some items you must try.
They serve you cakes and pastries too. Haven't tasted any thou. But do upload your reviews about them.

Vienna is synonym for awesome Plum cakes! The best plum cake i have ever had can be found here. Pattices are great. Their banana wafers and soya sticks are good too. It's a very old bakery, little difficult to locate but worth the hassle.

Christmas and even Birthdays of an 80's child just wouldn't be the same without their Plum Cakes! Boozy and Beautiful....Moist and generously filled with nuts and spices!
The queue however goes up to a kilometre (sometimes more) just before Christmas, so get there fast to get your share!
The buttery moist puffs are lovely as well and the Pink and Yellow Cube cakes hold an Old world charm to it!
I have relocated to Bangalore and thus, the .5% rating lost is only because they don't have an outlet at the Airport where I can Quickly pick up what I need and head back!
Nice place... Visited this place abt noon, most of their savouries were over, got a chicken Pattice to eat, missed my favourite egg puff... Love their plum cake and coconut cupcake... Only complaint is they should make the store visible, it is too hard to find it as it is inside the village

I have been eating from Vienna Bakery since I was a child. The chicken patties sure are to die for. Long ago they also served from parties which used to be my favourite but are now discontinued. Pastries and cakes are good but I prefer the savoury at this place. Recently they have come out with a lot of options like crossiant, Pizza, burgers and sandwiches. If you come to Vienna pick up my order which is the chicken patties it is the best you will ever eat in Mumbai. Value for money is too good.

This bakery has been around maybe since Vakola even got it's name. Synonymous to the iconic name and rapport it has developed with the community here, the pastries and puffs they make are amazing. Their puffs, flaky, filled with a flavorful stuffing is baked to perfection. Their plum cake, always a symbol for raising a toast at many occasions. And the cherry on the icing (Pun Intended) ; their Black Forest cake! Soft, creamy and delicious!
To top it all off their reasonable pricing makes this place a must visit!

I'm not gonna say anything much about their other food items because that's not what they are famous for. This has to be the oldest place serving their extremely famous christmas plum cake which brings back such memories. Back in the day, all you would get from the shops is the monginis christmas cake which had a very manufactured flavour with tooty frooty titbits. At that time, my father would travel long distances to buy this cake which would be difficult to get during Christmas as it was a very popular item.
Coming back to today, this slab of plum goodness, is not what it used to be, but is still much better than many you find in the market. It's not proper authentic English Christmas Pudding (which is anyway hard to find in our city), but if your not too picky, then it is definitely worth a try and a great Christmas Plum Cake.

Feel blessed to live a minute away from this bakery. I've never been a fan of chicken patties before, but after having the chicken and mutton patties here, I just cannot get enough of them. Their patties are over by 3-4 pm every day. zone of the best bakeries I've ever been to. Nothing to fancy, just great food.
With Hearsch being the pao heaven for non veg snacks, Vienna is the pao paradise for pastries. With prices that would be considered cheap even in 2002, this place gives you the most value for your money. I love the rum balls, love them so much that I would not mind making a trip from south Bombay to Santacruz just for those rum balls. The 4 in one bar slice cake, makes every one crazy. 4 colours in one slice with white icing sort of thing in between. This one is a party hit. If you have friends in Santazcruz be nice to them, they are the closest to Vienna Bakery. If any person living close to this place and likes a place in town I am willing to barter at half way.

I had heard about this place from my husband, who is from Mumbai, so when we came from Pune ,my husband was feeling so nostalgic, he wanted to have his favourites wafers,cakes,sadly when we visited this place we got to know they have stopped preparing wafers,they get it from outside now. So we had yummy walnut cakes,check chicken puffs.

If you're pao (not pav, thanks), you've got to be familiar with this place. They have been there over the years serving the best bakery goodies with the same zest. The puffs and rolls are amazing, and I LOVE the plum cake, or as I always call it--the RUM cake. 😉😝 The consistency and texture of the cake has remained the same over the years and every bite leaves you wanting for more. Try the sannas and brownies too. The goodies are fresh and super yummy, in spite of being pocket friendly. You will definitely go back for more 😊

Being a pao wala I love my bakery items 😁 and I consider myself BLESSED to be living close to one of the BEST bakery's in town.
For those who don't know about Vienna, they supply their products across retail shops in the entire city and people come from far and wide just to have the gorgeous goodies they sell.
They are one of the largest bakeries I have seen and the space they have is huge. Can be a little difficult finding them as the shop is nestled in one of the old east Indian style houses between the by lanes of Vakola village.
The counter is huge with a wide range of bakes to choose from.
Must must must try their Mutton puffs, beef puffs, chicken puffs, Mayo rolls, hot dogs, chicken pizzas, potato chops.
They also sell the city's richest and most famous plum cake. This cake is served in most of the catholic weddings during the raising of the toast. The cake has a distinct flavour that is irreplicable with its moist texture that comes from the generous amount of rum they use.
The puffs are to die for with the crust being flaky and light and the inner meat mixture being divinely flavourful and filled in abundance.
Service is quick, there isn't any seating so you either hang around the compound of the house and eat or pack up stuff and enjoy back home with fly and friends.
What's most commendable is the prices they sell their items for. The mutton puff costs Rs 13/- yes you read it right 13 bucksss!!! Like who sells stuff so cheap these days with absolutely the best quality of ingredients and hygiene maintained.
I could gorge and eat here every day happily!

If you are Catholic or have good Catholic friends chances are you have been served some snack from Vienna Bakery before and didn't know it. This very old Bakery has been supplementing main courses for decades with their snacks especially their puffs and wafers. Lost in time Vienna has opted to go old school sticking to their time tested menu which included a host of savoury and confectionary items. Their sanna's and appams go well with whatever you have cooked at home along with their puffs which make great starters. Special mention for their plum cakes. These rich dark slabs have a unique taste of their own and chances are it will bring back some happy memories.
Vienna Bakery is that lost in time place that has the courage to stick to their old fare, should make a happy visit if you are in the area.
Santacruz East teems with bakeries of all sizes and shapes. Not having a sweet tooth, I'm rather indifferent to them. The craving for baked savouries, however, is a whole another matter...
So the day came when I just absolutely had to have a good puff. What constitutes a 'good puff' you might ask? One with golden flaky crust, served fresh and hot, and most importantly a generous amount of stuffing of preferably chicken or mutton mince. Those with chewy pastry, half a spoon of stuffing in the centre, or with bland unseasoned filling, please keep away.
Vienna puffs are quite the legend in this area. When my cravings refused to be denied, I navigated a path to the bakery, which was rather hard to spot. I bought a puff each of mutton and chicken. And when I ate them, I failed to understand why the legend is restricted to just the local area, because it's not just a good puff, it's a puff as near to perfection as possible!
Didn't have a tough time locating the bakery, luckily we found a person carrying cakes from the same place and he happily guided us.
At first look, it seems like an ordinary bakery with the usual goodies. But looks can deceive. The prices are the biggest plus point along with the taste.
We had 3 veg puffs, which was quite delicious and little spicy. But disappointed that we couldn't try the chicken puffs, which was certified by my friend as the most delicous puff she has ever tasted. So one more trip is on the cards for this.
Then we tried the choco chip pastry which tasted very original, you could sense the flavour of the bakery. Then came the choco mousse, thick n creamy. A chocolate over dose maybe, but worth it. Finally ended with the blueberry cake, no words to describe how much i enjoyed devouring it.
All these for less than 100, now that's pure value for money. I can keep on coming back here everyday for the sugary delights it offers.

This is one of those old place which we hear about in tales of our parents, hinned in one of the by lanes in vakola a really old bakery, but this place has really aged quite nicely, have only eaten snack items from there like puffs n corisants n pastries but yes they are shakily tasty n very light on ur pocket. They serve freshly made puffs where the stuffing melts in your mouth. N have a really gd cake collection ask any person who have stayed for smtime in vakola they would swear by this place. Go there to enjoy a snack at a low budget a low point us not enough place to sit n eat which if they improve can do wonders.
Has maintained a good reputation for a long time. I have had cakes and pastries from this place for over 10 -15 years and the taste has been consistent.

Vienna Bakery has been there around for several decades but it still hasn't really managed to make a big name and hype to promote itself. Now that's shame but fantastic too bcoz their bakery products and treats have retained the same level of quality and taste like it's all ways been. The chicken puffs and beef patties is the benchmark for what good filling & great tasting patties needs to taste like. Nothing fancy about it!! They have a range of quality savory items across the counter. Visit it once and you will keep going there time and again.

There are places that make efforts to generate a lot of buzz. And then there are places that stay in the background for years serving great food and are content with word of mouth publicity. Vienna Bakery falls in the latter category. This place has been around for so many years and yet it remains non-descript, almost like a hidden gem, which only few know about. This is your typical old school, neighborhood bakery where the focus is not ambience or fancy looking cakes but just the great quality of bakes it churns out.
The hottest selling and most recommended product on their menu is the plum cake, which also happens to be my favorite. It is available in both with egg and eggless variants, though I typically find that the one with eggs tends to be more moist and spongy.
Another gem is their coconut cookie. Not a cookie in the strict sense of the word, coconut and cream are baked atop crisp, flaky filo pastry which results in absolutely delicious little parcels of yumminess.
They also do various kinds of cookies, puffs and cream-rolls; in fact one is spoilt for choice here. A good tip would be to get there early during the day as most products get sold out by evening.
In terms of price, it is much easier on pocket compared to some of the more known places, while delivering a constantly superb quality. Totally recommend a visit, especially during this festive season.

The only reason they get 1 star for service is the poor management of customers during the peak Xmas season. As of now they are very aware of the crowd to expect during this season, yet they fail to employ more to cater to the large number of customers and customer end up standing in huge lines which are almost an hour long just to buy a plum cake and other Christmas bakery items.

There stock finish very fast you have to reach earlier as possible there. Time is morning 7 to evening 7
