This place near Ghatkopar bus depot in Ghatkopar east is a place for malavni food. If you want to try some malvan style non-veg food , then this is the place. Malvan is famous for its fish and kombdi-wade. You can try any fish over here which is prepared in malvan style. Even the chicken is cooked in malvan special masala and you get the special hot malvan curry which is called as "rassa". This place even provide some Chinese soups and chinese starters. It is near ghatkopar bus depot. Chicken tandoori was good. Surmai thali was better and chicken thali was not much tasty. Service bystaff is also good.

Good Non Veg around Ghatkopar is rare, but Malvani Chaska is a treasure in the area for their non vegetarian delicacies. They specialise in Malvani sea food, their Bombil Masala was perfectly cooked,and had all the right flavours with its signature earthiness. Also tried their Chicken Lollipop, and for someone who eats this dish often, i can vouch that Malvani Chaska does a great job chinese appetizers as well.
The food has a typical malwan taste, the place doesn't have only good food but awesome service too... The the icing on the cake for the this place is you can even afford to eat even in month end as its pocket friendly. Good going guys
I absolutely love this place. I have a thing for Malvani food and this place hits the spot. Ordered Mandeli fry and the Kombdi Wade Thali. Brilliant. I loved the Sol Kadi. They do have a live frying station for fish. Would love to try the Crab and Clams the next time.
This place is small but has huge variety in dishes..We had Malai kabab which was soft & juicy. Then we had special pomfret thali. Thali has option of bhakri or chapati. Size of pomfret was big enough.
Adding to this, there was solkadhi and dry fish which completed the dinner with a satisfaction. It takes 15-20 mins to serve the food however it's worth waiting. For the fish lovers, I would recommend to visit this place for sure. If you are planning for a fantastic weekend then visit this place.

I used to see this place while passing from the eastern expressway but never tried visiting this place. A cousin of mine recommended me this place as he had ordered from this place. My sister and my brother are a lot into seafood so we decided to finally visit this place.

The food was amazing. Everything here is so flavourful and delicious. The Prawn Tawa fry was so so delicious. Also it has the best butter garlic naan I've had!! So buttery , garlicky and so soft. The big surmai piece was INCLUDED IN THE THALI which shocked us all. It is One the best Malvani restaurants around. There is just one thing that this restaurant needs to work on is the ambience. It is a little shady looking even though the pricing of this restaurant isn't cheap. Most people don't know about this place and this place deserves the exposure as the food here is so damn tasty.
If you are non vegetarian and specially mad about seafood and malvani dishesh then this place is for you..This place is very close from ghatkopar bus depot and Eastern express highway.I had fish curry and surmai thali from this hotel.The taste is awesome..The rates are pretty fine.cant count much on presentation but taste was awesome..

This place serves authentic Malvani cuisine. The decor is simple and place is run by a family. The service is good and fast.
We have tried the Surmai Thali with Wade and the Paplet Thali with Bhakri. The fish was fresh and had the perfect Malvani flavour. The thali portions are sufficient for one person.
We also tried the Prawns Koliwada which we liked a lot.
One of the best (rather one and only) seafood joint in Ghatkopar area. The host here is my recent Nepal Trip friend who personally attends guests & caters their needs with ever smiling face.
Surmai fry thali was indeed the best option for tonight's dinner with large sized surmai fry with some coriander dressing.
Tried small portion of chicken biryani. Wont compare with any biryani speacial joint but its a must try at this joint.

Its located on the main road special for its malvani food.To be honest they didnt disapoint with the punjabi food either.The food was well cooked.A small place but a worth of try.

The chicken tikka and naan is probably the best thing to choose.
Other kebabs I've tried here are below average. Price wise this place is economical and quantity served is good for its price.
From home delivery in this area, it's a front runner for its chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala.
The rating is merely for that. If you want other things, I would give it a 3/5
Place is quite simple. Seafood is good. Everything ordered was good but for the prawns which were not well served. The other items were good. Worth a visit once!! !
Malvani Chaska was my dad's recommendation as was an complete surprise for me! Chicken Lolipop was to begin with. But the treat began after starters. For the first time I tasted some true Malvani food in a very long time Ordered Malvani Prawns Special and Malvani Chicken Special with some Butter Rotis and it was a delight Tasted exceptional with flavours of Malvan teasing my taste buds in between. Flavoured with some real native spices and Kaju. Rotis were soft and well cocked but butter was slightly less. Ended meal with a Kulcha and it was good too. They may take upto 25 mins to serve so caution to boiling hunger stomachs but wasn't a problem for me! Great Food at great price with 6 people eating at 1050/-

We have order King Fish and Pomfret Fry, Prawns Masala, Bhakri and Sol kadhi. All dishes were up to mark. We really LOVED it.

A small n simple joint next to Ghatkopar Depot serving authentic Malvani Food that is to die for! For starters we ordered Prawns Koliwada and pomphret fry which got over in seconds. Their mutton and prawn thalis are excellent with enough quantity for two people. Had been there with my family and we all loved the food and would want to go there again.

Have visited Malvan Chaska 4 to 5 times and experience is always great. Fish are fresh and super tasty. As I stay in Ghatkopar this is closed to my house and most of the times I order food.
Authentic Malwani food. The Prawns or the Pomphret can nevr go wrong. So do try this little joint in Ghatkopar East. A very simple menu but the food will satisfy your desires of having good food when comes to seafood especially. Had called for a pomphret thali and malwani special prawns and both lived up to our expectations. Ambience is exactly how it is in a malwani joint so do not expect a fine dine / decor by any interior decorator !! Just go there for food and thats it !!
I always prefer going in this restaurant because of their food.. They are very good at serving all four type of cuisines as per their menu card.. But this Sunday 20/12/15 experience was not good at all... Went into the restaurant on Sunday the restaurant was full as usual.. Got to sit after ten minutes or so.. Was expecting a quick service. There was a guy with cap and specs who gave me the menu card.. He did not give he almost threw it... Took order as well .. After sometime the same person got me food... And just kept on the table.. He did not serve me the food.. I took the food by myself .... I felt as it was favour on me.. I always get good service by the staff but this time it was very bad experience. don't do favor on the customer by serving food in this way give them proper service they will definitely come back to the restaurant.
A very small joint and bang next to Ghatkopar bus depo..guys please note it's famous for malwani food.. don't order Chinese here as you might not like it...Just go for crazy Thali which they offer at a very reasonable rate...I liked it but only good for takeaway as the sitting arrangement is not that comfortable and you will find hard to adjust.. 😎
A small Malvani joint near the Ghatkopar Bus Depot. Serves veg and non veg including ala carte and thalis. As is with most of the Malvai joints that I have visited they too serve Fish , Chicken and Mutton Thalis. Ordered for the Surmai Thali, one which was the normal thali and the other a deluxe version. The deluxe version consists of a fairly big portion of the fish which is fried and a small portion is served in the curry.
The thali consists of rice, chapatis (other options are also provided), sol kadi. The taste is absolutely worth for the price. Service is pretty good. Parking is available

Its a very down to earth types of places where u can enjoy a good home styles cooked meal... We had the mutton sukha, surmai fry, prawns fry, chicken gravy and fish gravy along with some chapati and wada... The prawns were the star of the dinner and were cooked to perfection and balance... The fish was a typical marathi/malvan style with the the basic masala and then fried... The mutton was tender and full of flavours and i liked that it was cooked in a thick coconut spiced base... The fish curry was decent but i preferred the chicken gravy...
Overall give it a try it won't disappoint

Have been here quite a few times here. Still I have to search for the hotel. Small place it is. Gives you a homely feeling. It's only because of this hotel I fell in love with Malwani food. The food is cooked in a typical Malwani style and with lots of love. They also serve Chinese and some tandoori items, but they convince to try their special malwani food. If you're not aware of about the food and not know what to order just leave it on them and you'll be surprised and amazed. Each and everything is just yummy!! Pls do visit here!! Highly recommended!!
Good news for ghatkopar residents who are interested in eating some tasty malvani food. Its not a grand place but a very decent and hygienic place to have good maharashtrian food. I had chicken thali, fish thali and i must say m happy that such restaurant exists in ghatkopar. My favourite dish is bombay duck fry, amazing i wld recommend it. Nice place to have food if u r looking for good taste.

It's not a grand or expensive place but it is my favorite place in Ghatlopar. I haven't yet tried any of the Chinese dishes but the Malvani dishes are absolutely delightful. I was never much of a sea food lover but this place totally changed my opinion about it. Although we usually end up having prawn Masala (Because it's so damn yummy) the other dishes on the menu haven't disappointed us either. Masala Papad, prawns koliwada, all chicken curry items, tisrya (tastes exactly like my neighbour's mom would make it back in the old days), surmai, etc. If you are having Malvani dishes i would suggest having bhakri or vade with them. Tastes much more authentic. Quantity might disappoint people a little but the overall cost and taste makes up for it. Not a very sophisticated place, but quite neat and tidy and nice enough to sit down with friends and family for a nice evening together.

Two people can easily have a lavish meal for less than 400. They say they don't provide home delivery but they did when we asked them to, because we are regular patrons. Although, home delivered food seemed oilier than usual.

The restaurant is awesome... Food here is just excellent... Just had experience about a person there.. He was a old man... Was shouting on the staff very terribly.. I don't mind he shouting but in front of customers it looks very bad.. Just a request that if you have any issues with the staff kindly discuss in person not in front of the customer's.. Rest everything was just cool
I be at dis place atleast once a week.. excellent food.. best is prawns masala.. only thing was cost for surmai fry doesnt match d size or quantity... n once i had an issue with a half cooked tandoori.. otherwise I always had a superb experience. ..

Food was nice ... But also they should have the facility to provide half plate rice if some one is taking thali as thali has rice but if we need little more it should be an option and not full plate .

One of the best malvan hotel in the area. Its situated next to the bus depot. Good service. Though the food takes time to get to your table as they prepare it there and then but its worth the wait. Must try their thaalis. I would highly recommend their surmai special thaali. The surmai piece is so huge that you would require a good apetite to finish it all alone. Great place for seafood loverzzz.. 🐟🐠❤

This hotel is located near ghatkopar bus depot. Very authentic malvani food and i must say that its a hidden gem in ghatkopar to try malvani food and many other types of food varieties like punjabi, tandoori etc... Hut malvani food is their speciality so must try their biriyani, kobdi wada, malvani thali and many more.
Talking about the quality and quantity of the food, i would say they have the best taste and the portion of the food they serve is okay not very less but cam be improved.
Cost wise is also okay, and the place is located at such a place where there is not rush and public out side.
I would highly recommend this place if your plannin to visit this restaurant.

Quality of food wasn't upto the expectation,was willing to sit in ac but because of no seats available had to sit in non ac and God oh God it was so hot and humid because of the tandoor which is set right in front of the entrance all the warm air and humid cloudy hot vapours were coming in the hotel ,this really made us uncomfortable and at uneasy should have put up exhaust or some sort of cooler,....over all the malvani in the brand's name is going away ill recommend many other stuff which is epic on the menu but if you are looking for that spicy hoy epic malvani taste do not expect that here.
I'll also recommend that they should really clean there kitchen because the state i saw i would have ran the other side....pls maintain the basic hygiene so the customers will come back .it's just a review a genuine one to make a difference.
The service was fast ,don't drive here as there is lack of parking one can uber ola or rickshaw to this place and try to sit in the ac zone because non ac will be unsufferable.
