September 22, 2019<br/><br/>I hold birthday cakes in high regard. However, that day, I was unable to visit my most favourite dessert shops. Since I was near Vikhroli station, my friend suggested that we can pick up a cake from Birdy's.<br/><br/>Years ago, I remember eating at their Prabhadevi outlet. Although I don't recollect what and how it tasted back then.<br/><br/>This outlet of Birdy's is just a 5 minutes walk from Vikhroli station. It has the looks of a regular cake shop, manned by one person. Some cakes on display looked appealing, others not that much.<br/><br/>We bought a Dutch Truffle cake. My friends quite liked it. I was not impressed. It lacked the gooeyness and warmth of a rich chocolate cake. Reasonably priced.<br/><br/>Worth a try considering it is a widely known chain. :)

Yesterday evening I bought Dutch truffle cake from here to celebrate my anniversary and trust me this is the worst cake I have ever tasted. They said its the fresh cake but "No" it wasn't fresh at all. The cake was very hard and dry in texture. No one likes the cake at my place. We ordered the Alpine Chocolate Cake along with the Chicken Puff and the Chicken Cheese and Garlic Croissant.<br/><br/>Alpine Chocolate Cake: This cake tastes similar to a chocolate truffle. The cake base and the frosting used was fresh and delicious.<br/><br/>Chicken cheese and garlic Croissant: This would have tasted better if it contained cheese.<br/><br/>Chicken Puff: The chicken stuffing was quite juicy and had an amazing mix of flavors.<br/><br/>A bit on the pricier side but the price I guess is worth it as long as the quality is consistent.<br/>

Birdys is one of my favourite cake joint. Chocolate truffle is my favourite. I occasionally take cakes from this joint. Cake quality is well maintained feel free to grab one for your occasion 😊👍🏻

Decent cakes for occasions. Called for a dark chocolate truffle and black forest cakes and they were pretty decent. The dark chocolate was awesome but the black forest was really okay

Worst Experience! I went to this place around 10pm. I asked the host are pastries fresh and he said , Yes Sir! No problem you can buy it! And I took it parcel and I am not even exaggerating I was not able to cut the pastry, it was that hard. I have tried various outlets of Birdy's but yesterday I was really disappointed. Birdy's, you just lost a customer!

Dear Birdy's, with utmost sincerity and not profanity and I want to tell you that you suck big time. I ordered for my manager who works another job as quality control in Cipla Limited and without any information to either her or me the order was made late and then cancelled. <br/><br/>You guys lack work ethic big time. Order was placed at 6 and informed to be delivered at 7:09. <br/><br/>She was to leave at 6:25 today and I made her wait for you guys and informed zomato team yet you people didn't have the decency to tell if it would be late. At 7:30 out of frustration she finally left and then I got the notification that order has been cancelled. <br/><br/>It was just a damn pastry not a pizza which had to be made freshly and delivered. And even then pastries are not time consuming to make. There was no info at all on delivary time or so either. I had to get it from Zomato. <br/><br/>One and half hour of late order and then cancelled. And your guy then reaches at 7:45. <br/><br/>Do me a favor and take your pastries intra anally because had you been in Delhi I would have done it for you. Be glad that I am not. I'd run you out of business. Because somehow zomato won't. <br/><br/>So yes f you in the ear and the other ear too. Show this to your owner. Say that Nipun Jain says his hello

Birdy's is the best cake shop in vikhroli. Cakes are fresh and yummy. I enjoyed their way of serving pastries..... Microwaved for fraction of seconds and pastries become smooth and delicious. Worth trying cakesshop...

Birdy's is doing pretty good with the kind of competition in the cake shops that have emerged over the years. They have a lot of varieties of cakes and pastries to choose , depending what you are in for . They also have croissants which I have enjoyed a couple of times. Chocolate mouse is worth trying if you are a chocolate lover. They have homemade chocolates with a lot of options. I have always preferred the assorted ones. Good one to go for cakes for celebrations and pastry sometimes for a quick bite . It's the one of the good cake shops close to my house.

Had bought 2 chocolate muffins couple of days back and both of them were extremely dry, like they were a couple of days old. Same thing had happened at the Kalyaninagar, Pune outlet where we'd bought blueberry cheese cake. Both the times we had ordered take away. Had we eaten there, would have definitely returned it there and then. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone and won't be visiting Birdy's in any part of the country as well.

Great bakery food chain (:<br/>One thing is that they have established themselves on the higher priced segments. So don't be surprised if you find yourself overpaying for something as silly as a pinapple pastry. <br/>But anyways, the factory made chains have a different taste all together. And this one too indeed. But its still better than something like Monginis (And then another person yells 'ANYDAY Bro!')<br/>Bakery items are fresh as well but due to high demand they tend to run out of food as well. They take orders for cakes for occasions and there's a decent place to sit and enjoy your purchases. <br/>Overall satisfactory!
