Review Rajbari Rasoi - Mumbai

Rahul Dhanawade
Amazing place! Amazing food! Bengali cuisine is the speciality here. We tried the Delish Chicken Kasha, which was very generous in quantity as well. Prawns malai curry is a must try if you like seafood. Fish butter fry is prepared in such a way that you'd just want more. For desserts, we tried Rossogulla payesh, and my god! wasn't that the best dessert I've ever had.The owner is also very passionate and attentive and ensured that we had an amazing first experience here.

Rajbari Rasoi is a go to place for every person who wishes to have authentic Bengali food, with an ambience that give you the Kolkata vibes. We tried the following items: Chicken Bakura: A great chicken starter. This start had pan fried chunks of boneless chicken with a lemony finish. The taste was superb and it's a great start to the meal! Fish chops: This dish contains 2 deep fried fish cutlets. A great fish starter and goes very well with the mustard dip provided along side it. Prawn malai curry: A superb coconut based prawns curry. These were medium sized prawns. The curry was simply amazing, completely loved it! This goes great with steam rice as a combination! A must try in the main course for all! Narkel Gur Patishapta: These are semolina flour pancakes stuffed with a combination of coconut and jaggery. This is an authentic Bengali sweet which Rajbari rasoi has mastered and it's a must have! The service was very prompt and the ambience and presentation give you a very nice old Calcutta vibe and it's a great place to be! Rajbari Rasoi is a must go to place for all people who want to have authentic and mouthwatering Bengali cuisine!

My first ever visit to a authentic Bengali place! We ordered mocha chop for starters. Essentially made of banana flowers, the taste is not your regular tikka flavour! For main course, we had dhoka dalna. The tomato based kofta styled curry with rice was quite interesting! And a must have was the rasgulla payesh! It was delicious! The ambience and music transfer you to Kolkata feels! The staff is courteous and friendly and explain to you what exactly can you expect in the dish!

Visited this place for authentic Bengali food. the ambience remind me the Bengal and it's culture.the staff members really help us to select dishes which we could enjoy. We ordered Butter Fish Fry which is Bhetki fish delicacy, Deep, fried crispy and taste best when it's hot. It was decent experience with Bengali food.

Visited this place for dinner. Dimmed lights, Bengali music in background and traditional Bengali artworks make a very warm n homestyle ambieance. We started with - 1) Lebu Paani - Nimbu Sharbat which tasted quite different from usual one as this had the gondraj lemon. 2)Chicken Bakura Pan Fry - very tangy taste due to lemon, less oily, crisp outside n soft n juicy chicken inside. 3) Robibar Barbela - the traditional Bengali Sunday chicken curry which had potatoes, very spicy has strong cloves flavour but tasty. 4)Basmati rice - usual plan basmati rice 5) Kolkata Fish Fry- bhetki fillet coated with breadcrumbs n deep fried but very thin slice Loved their traditional plates made out of kasa metal. Very friendly staff.

Rajbari rasoi Rajbari rasoi is located near Lokhandwala Andheri West. It is casual dining restaurant that serves Bengali and sea food.! Speaking about place I really loved green wooden door, wooden racks with pots and books & copper vessels.! Ambiance was pretty cool with a Vintage look.! Great hospitality and the place was quite huge with indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. Food was served in copper plates which is amazing. We had 🔹Beetroot chop 🔹Kolkata fish fry 🔹Kaanchkola kofta with Steam rice 🔹Narkel gur patishapata Overall amazing experience. All the dishes were too luscious. Staff were cooperative & helpful.! Overall this place is a must visit & go with your friends and family.! Worth it🤩✨

I'm not a Bengali, but I had descent amount of Bengali food in Bengali houses. Keeping no expectations I went to Rajbari Rasoi and it hit me with pleasent surprise. Taste and portion size were good. It's being maintained by a nice lady who also helped us figuring out what we would like and what we should try to be a Bengali experience. She also made us(not on menu) a mix veg curry in poppy seeds and muster which I really liked, and would like to visit again for that same dish. Betki Paturi was descent, but chicken kousha was a disappointment. As they claim all the recepies are home cooked style so you won't find it spicey. Ordered: Mix veg curry - super tasty Chicken kousha - below average Betki Paturi - good Luchi - perfect Moong Dal - good Rice - good Ambience - Could be better, if remove few tables, it's really tight. Staff - Excellent(it's only been couple of months it's opened) Hygiene - Good(has fishy smell once you enter into the place, within 5-10 mins you won't mind it) Place has a artistic outlook to it, with music, paintings, small waterfall and wallpapers. Though tables are really tightly placed. It's an excellent place to visit at least once to try, you won't regret.

Rajbari Rasoi: An authentic Bengali Restaurant with special delicacies they are proud of! The dishes I had were: 1)Chicken Chop: 2 huge pieces of chicken chops. One of the most popular street foods of Bengal. This dish was absolutely soothing in taste! They're basically Bengali chicken kheema balls! 2)Beetroot Veg Chop: An alternative to the chicken chop, the ones who can't enjoy the non-vegetarian version , they surely can have this treat! Lovely in taste! 3)Bhetki sorshe with steam rice: Bhetki sorshe is a Bengali fish curry consisting of Bhetki Fish - Barramundi fish. It is a boneless fish cooked in mustard and poppy seeds sauce. A perfect curry to get your tastebuds dancing! A must try! 4)Narkel Gur Patishapta: A soft and melting wrap consisting of jaggery and coconut as the filling. Something different to try if you haven't tried it and love to explore your sweets! Overall a great visit. This place has a calm ambience and the service is pretty great and quick. The attendant there explains you every dish very nicely and gives you suggestions based on your likings! A must visit!

Rajbari Rasoi is a popular restaurant located in Andheri West and known for serving Bengali Cuisine. I was in the Andheri area and decided to have vegetarian lunch at this restaurant with my mother. This restaurant also accepts Zomato Gold and the experience turned out to be a good one.

Dine in Rating of Rajbari Rasoi, Andheri West:

Date: 30th October 2019
Time: 4:00pm

Please check the rating for each dish we ordered based on various factors:

1) Kolkata Style Aloo Dum – Rs. 270

Quality – 4/5
Portion Size – 4/5
Taste – 4/5
Value for Money – 4/5
Overall – 4/5

2) Khichuri – Rs. 225

Quality – 4/5
Portion Size – 4/5
Taste – 4/5
Value for Money – 4/5
Overall – 4/5

3) Luchi (4 Pieces) – Rs. 100

Quality – 3.5/5
Portion Size – 4.5/5
Taste – 4/5
Value for Money – 4/5
Overall – 4/5

Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 3/5

Zomato Gold: Yes (1+1 Free | Dish no. 2 was the free dish)

We started with Kolkata Style Aloo Dum which was pretty good in taste and potatoes were soft and consistent. This dish always works wonders when eaten with Luchi (Puri) and we did the same thing. For the 2nd main course, we decided to order Khichuri which is one of the best comfort food in the Bengali cuisine and the Khichuri of Kolkata is absolutely different from other parts. The Khichuri at this restaurant was delicious but it did not have the extraordinary taste which I have eaten at other restaurants or at a pandal during Durga Puja.

The one area where they need improvement is the service part. The server was pretty laid-back and wasn't much bothered about the customer even though we were the only ones present in the restaurant. Overall, it was a good lunch and I will definitely visit again to try the non vegetarian specialties.
|| Rajbari Rasoi 🤤 ||

The road to Authentic Bengali cuisine is near now at Mumbai….” Rajbari Rasoi” one of the authentic Bengali cuisine restaurants which takes you Bengali cuisine to another level with a dose of nostalgia.
This place is like a nostalgia killer for me as I am miles away from the homeland Kolkata, an authentic Bengali cuisine restaurant like this serving yummy Bengali food items cooked in the Bengali way that also in Mumbai is real nostalgia experience. To sum up it a completely amazing and memorable experience whenever I visited Rajbari Rasoi !!😍
Being a Bengali myself, my love for Bengali food is eternal. Bengali cuisines are pride of Kolkata as it shows we Bengalis love have authentic Bengali food wherever we go. This restaurant serves the authentic Bengali cuisines and delicacies from Kolkata for the bongs staying here in Mumbai. This is a go-to place for all Bengalis living in and around Andheri for its amazing variety of Bengali food 😍I had a catch-up with a friend who visited Mumbai for a week all the way from Kolkata, so I decided to visited this place with my friend for proper Bengali lunch.

📍 Location: This place is at the Ground Floor of Sundarban Complex, Sterling Tower CHS Apartment, Andheri Lokhandwala, Andheri West. It is 15 minutes Auto ride from Andheri Railway Station, West Mumbai.

▶ Ambiance/ Décor /Service: Speaking of Ambience, this place has a perfect soothing ambience for lunch and dinner with family and friends with some good quality Bengali food. The entire concept of this place is to give authentic Bengali feeling to all the visitors. The place is beautifully decorated in such a way as it represents the Rabindranath Tagore's House right from the entrance which starts with a garden. With great interiors which really gives you a traditional Bengali place with a garden sitting place at the outdoors where we can sit have a quite quality adda session which is famous among the Bengalis and interior of the place is beautifully decorated like an old Zamindari house with nice vintage Bengali music been played all time. . We settled ourselves at the indoors with Bengali music gave a real feel like we were having our lunch back at Bengal. Even the food is served here in authentic Bronze (Kasha) plates as per the Bengali tradition. Along with amazing music been played at the background is backed up with good well informed and helpful Bengalis attendants. The Service of the place was prompt and perfect.

▶ Now coming to real deal which is food and drinks of course. This place has nice menu with lots of varieties in Bengali dishes and Thalis and Zamindari recipes from Bengal as well. The dishes from this place not only satisfies the taste buds but also takes you back to the nostalgia phase. So, we opted for the following items from the menu during the recent visit 👉

❤ Food (Starters)🍗

⚜️ Fish Butter Fry- A perfect Bengali starter item. Most of the Bengalis have this starter during the evening hours while have a quality teatime adda.

⚜️ Shyambazar er Fish Kobiraji- This is one of my favourite starters as a Bengali snack. Being resident of North Kolkata I have tried Shyambazar style Kobiraji many times. I must say that the Kobiraji was just similar to what I had in Kolkata. Must try starter from the menu. (Recommended).

❤ Main Course 😋
🔸 Moving on to the Main Course

⚜️ Rice (Dehradun)- Normal rice that we generally have at home.

⚜️ Aloo Bhaja- It is perfect bhaja item that goes with the steamed rice for most Bengalis during the lunch time.

⚜️ Doodh Sukto- Most Bengalis love to have Sukto with some hot rice at the beginning of any meal. This sukto was really good with the addition of milk in it.

⚜️ Narkel diye Moong Dal- Perfect home-style dal went well with rice. The addition of narkel in the dal added a sweetness to the dish.

⚜️ Aloo Posto- Without this Aloo Posto most of the bongs do not believe lunch to be incomplete. Aloo Posto is very famous among most of the Bengalis.

⚜️ Basanti Pulao- I just love to have Bengali pulao during the lunch time and when it is combined with any chicken gravy and mutton gravy then it is a perfect Bengali lunch combo.

⚜️ Mutton Dakbangla-This is another must try out item from their menu! When it was combined with Basanti Pulao then it was just too Good in taste!

⚜️ Chingri Malai curry- Personally, I love to have chingri so much that whenever I visit a Bengali restaurant for lunch, I generally do not miss out on Chingri Malai cuury This Chingri Malai curry was amazing in taste (Recommended).

❤ Desserts 😍
🔸 Lastly, the desserts complete the heavy Bengali lunch with a sweet note:

⚜️ Tejpata Payesh-The perfect dessert for all Bengalis to have after a heavy lunch like this. This payesh was really good in taste. After having the home-style payesh it was heavenly feeling.

Starting from the Starters to Main course to desserts everything tasted nice and perfect. All the items that we tried from the menu were delicious and tasty and they give very good quantity.

💰Pocket pinch: - Pinch for two is ₹ 800- ₹ 1000 for a great and delightful experience.

▶ Overall: - Overall, it was lovely experience for me after a long time had a authentic Bengali lunch. Those who intend to have a taste and feel for authentic Bengali cuisine, Rajbari Rasoi is a perfect place for you. Recommended place to all that should try this place out whenever you are craving some good authentic Bengali food in Mumbai in and around Andheri😊
Great place for an enjoyable experience of authentic Bengali cuisine with friends and family. The waiting staff is very knowledgeable and will help you with your selection. My mother and I are vegetarians so didn't know if there were enough veg dishes for us to enjoy. We were pleasantly surprised by how good their vegetarian selection was. Loved the Kaanchkola Kofta, Dhoker Dalna and the Koraishuti Kachuri.

Rajbari rasoi has authentic bengali cuisines. Rohu fish (Rui Maach) shorshe jhaal is a must try. Gondhoraj chicken adds 5 stars to the menu. Just go there for an awesome Bangaliaana experience. Priyadarshini Ma'am is a very good host. Kudos to her and her team. It will be a regular adda for us now. Thank you Rajbari Rasoi.

The service and staff was excellent. The decor is exceptionally well thought out. Food was delicious and not heavy on the stomach. The portions could have been better, especially the fish given the price. The taste was very close to home and the manager provided the right recommendations. Great experience

Amazing food.

I went with a ZOMATO gold access but the moment I started ordering , she said ZOMATO gold is not applicable for most of the dishes on the menu and instead she enforced us to order what she insisted with a narration of the backstory of how ZOMATO gold is actually ruining their business.
I wouldn’t like to goto a place where the owner of the place force you to order what they expect and simultaneously annoying by talking why ZOMATO is not good which I wouldn’t like to listen when I go out for a lunch.
Karishmapanchani
We went to this place for some good food. While the food was decent at best, the portion sizes were insufficient. The chicken kasha gravy was so less that it was barely 3 serving spoons. The excuse given by the owner/manager of the place was that bengali food is usually served in portions of one person. If that was the case, we shouldve been informed before. The food wasn’t extraordinary and was definitely not cheaply priced. While the rice portion set by them was meant to serve two people, the gravy was apparently for just one, which is an odd explanation. Quite disappointing experience, serving insufficient food should never be what a restaurant is remembered by.
Nikunj Aggarwal
The portion size of the main course was way too less. Although the main course was highly priced when we complained about the portion, the manager said that the main course is just for one person which she didn't tell us while we were ordering. Then she started explaining how the restaurant being 1300 for 2, it is okay for them to serve main course portion just for one person.

Loved the food and the hospitality. Was always skeptical about going there but now will go again and again. The mutton and prawn mustard curry was just yummy.

Nestled in a tiny lane is this gem of a place. We went there last night for a dinner and we were absolutely wowed!
As people who love Bengali cuisine, we are always on the lookout for a great place and this was a great discovery. To start off, the ambience is very cozy and couple that with the brass plates and tumblers, you feel like being transported to a bygone era.
Now coming to the food - we ordered a lot of items, namely, the butter fish fry, Kolkata style fish fry, chingry chop & every item had us licking our fingers. Then we moved to main course and ordered their Rajbari Mutton Kosha, Manghser Jhol & Chingri Sorse (Prawns in a Mustard gravy). Coupled with fluffy luchis & steamed rice it was heaven!!
The food was amazing and prepared with care (very homely taste). The staff was also very polite and courteous and helped us with choosing the items.
Overall I definitely recommend this place for anyone craving Bong food and we are definitely going back again soon!!!

So we went to this place and as mentioned in description, this place was truly a Bengali restaurant.

Starting with the interiors, the interior decor was decent. The vibe was amazing. I would prefer outdoor seating as interior seating was a little conjusted

Next up, the food. They had so many Bengali delicacies to choose from. And as this is a bengali restaurant, non veg was their speciality. Enev the vegetarian dishes were amazing. Dhokha dalna. Beetroot chop. Aloo chop. Kolkata channa dal. Luchi. Everything was great.

Non vegetarian dishes were great as well. Gondhoraj chicken, chicken kasha were great. They had so many varieties of fish delicacies like Hilsa, Rohu, Bhetki, Chitol and many more.

Overall the place was good for a one time visit and great for Bengali cuisine lovers.........

The Hungry Foodie
Recently I visited this place. It is famous for it Bengali flavoured food and varieties which they offer. I had chicken , must say it was exceptional. I have never had such unique taste and Soo delicious chicken. It was coated with their special spices and beautifully presented . Chicken was well cooked and was perfectly fried Fish butter fry was another on my list which made me amazed and changed my perspective regarding fish. It was boneless and Soo well deep-fried . It was quite amazing to have fish without fish bones and Soo much tasty For the main course, I went for their veg item i.e dhoka dalna name is quite funny but the taste is quite amazing. It was a great mixture combining of moderate spicy and mouth watering flavour Lastly I asked for their libu sharbat it was served in their traditional manner, was good taste.
The Hunger Gamess
A great place to have delicious and lipsmacking Bengali food along with vibrant atmosphere and Bengali music playing in the background. We tried- 🔹Chicken bukara pan fry 🔹Fish butter fry 🔹Dhoka daalna gravy 🔹Lebu sharbat The chicken was amazing, the spices and flavors were perfect, and it was cooked very well. Tried fish for the first time and I not at all a disappointed. It was served with 2 types of sauces, very tasty and full Bengali feels. Dhoka daalna gravy was totally droolworthy. Lebu sharbat was quite refreshing and it was different then the regular but in a good way. Recommendation- Fish butter fry and Chicken bukara pan fry.

Location- this place is around 10-12 mins walking from DN Nagar station, or can take an auto or a bus from the metro station. Ambience- The ambience is amazing, it feels like an old haveli as you enter the restaurant you also have outside sitting arrangement which is nice as well! All the cutlery are old style and gives an authentic bengali vibes Food Lebu Sherbat- This is a sweet lemon sherbat and was refreshing Batter Fried Fish- this was so yum and delicious, the fish just melted in the mouth and with a crispy covering 😋😍 Prawn Malai curry- this was one of the best prawn curry i had ever had..!!..it was so yumm and tasty!! Also check with the quantity they serve as it small, so accordingly one can order the food!! Deserts- We ordered Patishapta, which they claimed to be best, but it was pretty okay though 👍 For all the Bengali and fish food lovers this place is a musg try🤗👍👍
This is definitely a must try place

Rajbhari Rasoi is located in Andheri, near Lokhandwala..

I dont really recollect if I ahve ever tried authentic Bengali Cuisines...wanted to give it a try...as Bengali cuisine is mainly known for the sea food dishes but luckily there are plenty of veg options too...

I didnt really have a clue of what to order as unaware of the cuisine and its specialities ..Have heard names of dishes in general but not a clue how they would be prepped here...

So I took recommendations from Mr. Hussain..he was our guide for the meal time...he had an accent like the 'Bengalis' sweetness in their tone...and the way he explained about dish was so elaboratly ...

He suggested whatever was available and after knowing our preferences he recommended and thats what we ordered and thanks to him ,we had a delicious meal...

The food here is served in copper vessels aka 'Tambe ke bartan' which gives an authentic touch.

Coming to what we tried..

Lebu Sharbat-its Lemon juice served in copper glass..

Aam Pora Sharbat- it was same as 'Lebu Sharbat' but with a mango flavour

Vegetable Moong Dal- It was home like 'Dal' just an addition of some vegetables...which really tasted delectable...had it with plain white rice...if some one wants to have home like Dal with some extra taste to it...should try this.

Bhaja Masala Aloo Dum-Highly recommended...baby potatoes flavoured and tossed in spicy curry with secret spices..it was that spicy but surely delicious...would want to try this yet again

Dalbhora Radhaballavi- which is also known as 'Luchi' ..its basically puffed puris with stuufing which is stuffed with some ingredients like peas , dal etc.. and its usually had with Dum aloo and Bengali...the 'Luchis' were super hot and soft..I loved the 'Luchi' with peas stuffing..

Mouth watering dishes...superb service..All Thanks to Mr. Hussain for recommending and making it a great experience ...now I have a place to go to try a different cuisine which is really tasty.

The Gastronomics
Its a typical bengali family restaurant. The interiors have the regional touch of Bengali houses. They have books of Geetanjali and Rabindranath Tagore. Their cuisine is typical bengali one . The entire staff including the chef are bengali and understand the bengali tongue well.
The restaurant unlike other restaurants does not provide aerated beverages , there speciality is lemon juice .
The lemon juice is not what we get to drink generally in Mumbai . It is made up of bengali lemons which have a specific aroma and taste! Must try!
It serves delicious sea food. We enjoyed the bhetki fish which was served with spicy gravy .
Overall it was a great experience . Mini Kolkata in Mumbai you can say

Great restaurant and lovely food. Really delicious and upto taste.
Just felt the menu was way too much to read .. maybe trim it down a little and have fewer items.

Terrible. Cold, stale starters. Mutton was undercooked in the main course. Portion size is extremely small. They got the basic stuff in Bengali cuisine wrong here

In starters we tried

Fish chop- the only starter which I kind of liked but quantity wise it was only 2 piece which wasnt even freshly cooked and tasted more like a veg cutlet.

Kolkata fish fry- I was quite disappointed seeing this dish because the price was 350rs and there were 1 medium sized fish tikki which was kind of looking deep fried and bhajiya

Food-4/5
Quantity-3/5
Value- 3/5
Ambience-5/5.

I highly recommend this place because of the generous quantity and non- exorbitant price. I kind of expected more from this restaurant as per its name but nothing was RAJBARI here.
The place has a very soothing vibe and the ambience gives a traditional and elegant aura.
It is a very photogenic place and has a great deal of authenticity.

In starters we tried

Fish chop- the only starter which I kind of liked but quantity wise it was only 2 piece which wasnt even freshly cooked and tasted more like a veg cutlet.

Kolkata fish fry- I was quite disappointed seeing this dish because the price was 350rs and there were 1 medium sized fish tikki which was kind of looking deep fried and bajiya😂

Chicken Kasha and bhetki jhal were two delicious main course and I really liked both of them. Regret this visit. Ive known bengali food to be generous (at least for 1!! ) the size of the portions were sooo disappointing. 550 bucks for a prawn gravy which came in a dish almost the depth of a plate. I single-ly cudve eaten two of those portions. Taste wise food is decent. But overall an average (im being kind here) experience. Hope we can improve portions!
Nikita Salian
Portions of the main course was not sufficient for even one person, high pricing average food and insufficient quantity. Average experience.

This restaurant is a must visit if you want to have Bengali food. Popular dishes ( Fish butter fry, Chi bakura pan fry, prawns malai curry, chu kasha, Tejpata payesh). If you are confused about what to order!! then best is to go for the Thalis.

If you love bengali food this place has to be on your list. Authentic bengali experience, the also waiters talk in Bengali plus sometimes they put Bengali music.
The restaurant is humble in size & décor but the food is mind-blowing & after all that's what one is coming for. They remain true to the authentic style of Bengali cooking & very easy on the pockets too.
Here are my recommendations...
Prawns Malai Curry It's a speciality of this place & is a scrumptious prawns curry cooked & served in a greencoconut.

I visited Rajbari Rasoi recently and loved the food! The place has both indoor and outdoor seating and the seats were very comfortable.

I tried one starter dish from here which was the Dimer Devil Mutton Bhora. It was basically eggs that were stuffed with minced Mutton and fried in bread crumbs. I loved the dish.

I also tried their speciality drink that was the lebu sharbet. It was very good, somewhat similar to nimbu pani, but so much better. I enjoyed the food and drink.

I wanted to try out this bengali speciality restaurant for a while now and am glad that I finally got the opportunity to visit here.

I ordered for one starter dish which was the fish chop. This was an amazing appetiser that was deep fried in bread crumbs and made with delicious bhetki fish.

For my main course, I went with the mutton kasha gravy dish and had it with the kuchi breads. The gravy went really well with the kuchi which was puris. The mutton pieces were extremely soft and tender.

I also tried the Lembu Sherbet from here. It was a very tasty lime flavored mocktail that was prepared with fresh lime.

I enjoyed my meal as well as the service received from Hussain the host. I will surely try some more of their seafood items on my next visit.

Rajbari Rasoi, A Bengali cuisine restaurant located at Andheri near Shashtri Nagar. The ambience is very cozy and like a Bengali havelis. It gives vibes of Bengali culture their food, their utensils, their music, their food, tgeir houses. Loved the vibe and the food was good too but the quantity was less. Overall had a good fine dine experience.
Exploring Soul
A heavenly place found out for my bengali cuisine cravings. It is located at Andheri Lokhandwala few mins away from DN nagar station. The decor gives the vibes of Bengali people's living in Haveli. It is like a house have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. A bengali restaurant not so big having small place with full bengali culture their utensils, music, ambience whole indicates the authentic Bengali culture. The food is good but the quantity is very less and some items are not available too. They serve the food in Bengali utensils which I loved the most. Tried with Kolkata Rolls, Lucchi with Chicken Kosha, and Rosagulla Payesh and Lebu Sarbat. Loved the place but the food is good.

Food: 4/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 4/5

Visited this place with my friends and really had a good time. The ambiance and the services provided are quite good. The food is worth a try.

Talking about the food we had Robibarer Barbela, a famous bengali dish which had Chicken based curry with boiled potatoes. The taste was quite good and is a must try. You can have It with Koraishutu Kochuri which was stuffed with green peas. Also you can have it with steam rice.

Small and cute restaurant in one of the by lanes of Lokhandwala(go inside the lane next to the Mercedes showroom on the main road).
For starters got the Fish Chop and Dimer Dol..both had crispy exterior . The Kheema in the Dimer was moist and nice.
Mains was a Raw Banana Kofta Curry which has a thick gravy. The Raw Banana is a bit sour initially but evens out.
The Mutton DakBangla is rich and spicy.Mutton is tender.
Got two kinds of Puri's..one had green peas as a stuffing and the other had a flaky dough of filling which was delicous.
Kheer was something you would find at home.
Overall a very satisfying meal, and great recommendations as we did not have much idea about Bengali cuisine.
