Authentic Bengali Style Food... Tasty... Luchi Alu dum and chicken biriyani is my favorite from here.. Chicken kosha and Roti is also delicious... On request they prepared potol bhaja for me.... On the eve of Jamai shasti and Poila baisakh they give some offers.. Aam chutney also they prepare in an awesome manner, simple but good... Behaviour of staffs is also good..

Bengali restaurant with traditional dishes available. They offer one of the most authentic Kolkata style Biryani in Mumbai! It is a real treat for anyone missing that great taste of Kolkata Biryani, you won't be disappointed.

Not upto the mark, chicken khosha was tasteless and quantity was slow. EGG biryani was without raita and service was also quiet slow, i wont visit again<br/>

We placed an order online. Turns out they didn’t have some of the stuff we ordered, so they replaced it with something of their choice, without informing us. When we called to ask, they were unapologetic, impolite and said we have replaced with same value item. If I want to eat paneer and u give me posto, at least inform me and ask me if it’s ok? Never ordering or going back again

Sir don't u think the gravy is way less for 2 paratha and the price you are charging.. I ordered seeing the positive reviews but had one of the worst chicken kosha.. And it should be spicy not sweet. The paratha were also drenched in oil. Very poor experience.. I would have rated in negative if it was possible...

Very disappointed by the food. They increased prices and degraded the quality. I ordered fish thali and opted for alu bhaja but they packed posto, then the fish chop was sour and spoiled.

Worst manager who is taking orders.his name is rahul and when we wanted to understand the menu better he said order from some other restaurant as we were asking questions related to gravy etc and he didn't wanted to answer.we were shocked how can somebody say no to serve when they are just a kind of street food servers.

Bengali food. We ordered fish meal, mutton kosho meal, chicken meal and kachori aloo dum. The best was mutton kosho. Delivery was not quick. We waited for half an hour. But it was worth the money and time.

Yesterday night, me and my husband decided to have some yummy authentic Bengali food and went to the food court of Galleria shopping mall, Hiranandani, Powai as there are many outlets available with Bengali cuisine. We ordered 3 plates loochi ( puri) , 1 plate of Dom Aloo and one chicken kosha. The loochi and Dom aloo were very very delicious and chicken kosha was also quite good. If you are looking for a cozy place, then this is not a right place for you because the food court in Galleria is a very basic place without air condition. But, the quality of food is very good and a awesome place for the Bengali food lovers

Quite amazed with the food taste, so that's a plus for sure! However, my order delivered through Zomato was incomplete and they missed a lot of stuff... quite unacceptable I say... isn't it?

If there was a negative rating I would give -10 to Bong bay. They are swindling customers. We had ordered two plates of fish fingers and they sent only one plate after charging for two plates. Completely dishonest and unreliable.

The owners of this restaurant are very casual with their duty. I ordered 2 mutton kosha combos with rice but the y gave me laccha parathas. Very bad service.

My friend ordered 2 plates of a dish. We received only 1. Neither the delivery guy nor the restaurant guy was ready ready to accept. We felt cheated and frustrated. Even the food was pathetic. For bengali food, please look elsewhere. Bijoli grill is much better.

Ordered a few times from this place. It delivers close to what it promises ( authentic bong food). Quality of food is fine but not great. Quantity is on the lesser side for the price that is paid.

I was craving for some bengali food and came across this place on zomato.<br/><br/>Just ordered fish kobiraji cutlets and bhetki paturi<br/><br/>Both were super delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and emanated amazing flavours of mustard and the leaf. Marination of kobiraji cutlet was also amazing<br/><br/>Also the quantity was filling and not just satisfied my tastebuds but also filled my stomach.

Enjoyed the food but it was a bit too salty even though i mentioned before ordering to put less salt in all the food items... otherwise would have given 5 stars...

The food was pathetic. One of the item that we ordered was bhetki paturi, the fish was stale, the mustard mix was not edible. Have some consideration of people’s health, just for the sake of profit kindly donot serve stale food. Its an earnest request.

Getting authentic bengali dishes is hard to find. You will get all the yummy bengali dishes here which you crave for being in Mumbai having mostly pavs. I had pulav, mutton daakbunglow, chicken biryani and payesh. And special mention goes to the behaviour you will receive. Cordial!

We liked this place and are almost there every month. What makes this place different from other Bengali restaurants in Galleria mall,Powai is the quality and service. We have tried almost everything on the menu card. The non veg menu is good, in veg it could be better. The dish which we like the best are the Chicken and the mutton Mughlai paratha. The potato sabzi which accompanies the Mughlai paratha is finger licking good.The egg and Chicken rolls are also great starters. In case you get a chance to eat the Thali..It is like a feast.The fish items are good.However I felt the Bhetki paturi to be slightly on the drier side. The staff is also very cooperative.We once had to order some Jain food as one person could not eat onions or garlic.Even though this type of food is difficult in the Bengali cuisine, the staff took pain and made a paneer dish as a Jain food. The luchis ate also very soft, however the Karaishotir Kachuri is ok.. The stuffing is slightly on a lower side which might make you disappointed. Overall it has very good food for a weekend lunch or dinner..

Well, being a Bengali, I always love to eat Bengali dishes. Generally I order mutton kosha, fish curry meals. Food is value for money and you will get pure bong feeling. If you love Bengali food, you should try it.

Ordered for a chicken meal with aloo bhaja. The food was decent but the only complaint is the aloo bhaja had a weird oily smell like that of burnt oil.

Not up to the mark at all. Extremely spicy and quality of meat was below average. Inspite of calling out for less or no green/red chillies food was superbly hot! Disappointing 😡

It was a pathetic experience. We were there on Poila Baisakh. There was a Non-veg thali at 565. The quantity was so less for a person, that we had to eat out another place. They were serving foods in the smallest container. The rice would be equal to 4 tablespoons almost. The worst experience ever.

Newly opened almost a year back, nestled amongst India on a platter kind of atmosphere on the first floor of Galleria shopping in Hiranandani gardens Powai. Bong Bay has satisfied my urge for good Bengali food. The dishes which I had enjoyed were, Bhetki Paturi, Fish fry, mutton Ghugni, all time favourite the various Rolls, Kasha Mungsho and not to forget the chicken and mutton Biryani which gives the distinct taste and flavour of Kolkata. I’m looking forward to try out the rest of all the rest of the Bong Bay dishes...

Horrible food delivered to my address around 4 pm today by Bong Bay. The pieces of chicken and mutton in the restective dishes were pathetic by any standards. Dissappointed!<br/><br/>The restaurant had since extended an apology.

Located at Galleria Mall Powai this new entrant will have to face tough competition from the other Bengali food joints which are located in the vicinity.<br/>Ordered the Chicken Kabiraji - the quality of the stuff was good enough for a single person. Also ordered Chicken Biryani. The Biryani wasn't exceptional but quality and quantity are definitely worth the price. Will like to go back for the other items especially Chicken Chap and Chital Macher Muittha, things which are hard pressed to get.

And if there is one fish item that has been popularized by Bong Bay amongst it's clientale across Bongs n non-Bongs, then that is definitely the Fish Paturi....Fillets of quality Bhetki fish, r coated with a thick paste made of mustard, green chilly n other madalas, wrapped individually with banana leaves, and then baked with time n care till the masala paste germinates inside the fn r then dipped in a batter n deep fried till they become brown n crispy. Served hot, accompanied by mustard sauce n onion, it is one item, a mouthful of which I must caution u, can make one forget about everything else in the surroundings!<br/><br/>There r many more such items served by Bong Bay which are of superb quality n mouth watering taste. One must try foods from Bong Bay to get that authentic n quality Bong food experience at a pocket friendly price point....<br/>

Super awesome biryani, chicken roll, fish fry/chop, keema/pav and payesh (haven't tried the rest yet). If you like Bong food, look no further. I can't get enough of these guys. And they keep making special dishes on some days - those are real awesome. Fortunately my office is near their outlet :-)<br/>

Not even deserves one star. Ordered food at 1.10 pm, tbe restaurant stopped responding at 2.05pm, zomato support has stopped responding since 2.20 and orser is over 1 hr late with no one to contact.<br/><br/>Surely my last order through zomato and the restaurant both.

Good food. Bhetki paturi and biryani liked a lot. Even kasturi loochi and aloo dum also very decent. Tried thali also which was okok. Overall if u have taste for bengali food definitely go.

Had ordered their fish n chips. And I quite liked it. The fish had solid bhetki inside and seasoned with dry salt. The fries were also perfectly seasoned and the kasundi just aptly pungent. I didnt like the food nor the service here. All dry rice and sabzi was not at all tasty. Dont try the food as it is not worth the money you spend. There are much better options to have and try. But yes they are doing what best they can do so I am giving them 2 stars.

I had ordered Chicken Keema Pav via Swiggy but restaurant just sent Keema and Pav was missing, when I called Restaurant they just said pav is not available, how the hell one should eat just keema with nothing

Their mustard fish is simply superb, far far better than bijoli grill and bojohari manna. Their chicken thali is also good. Overall good quality food and value for money.

Had ordered for simple Bengali veg meal & fish fry with potato chips. The order came on time, nicely packed. There was aloo posto, however I had opted for aloo fry. So there was a mistake from their part. There was paneer tikka and matar paneer, chana dal. The chana dal had raw smell of turmeric. I do not understand the inclusion of 2 paneer dishes. They should change the menu. Anyway, although they sent the aloo posto by mistake it was the only tasty thing in the meal. None of the other dishes had salt. The fish fry was ok.

They deliver even to Kurla and Ghatkopar.<br/><br/>Here is an account of what I had there and what it tasted like:<br/><br/>1) DOUBLE EGG ROLL: 3.5/5<br/>Reminds me of the Kathi Roll joints in and around the north-east. Overloaded with Kacha Lonka (Green Chillies) and Sliced Onion, this one is a treat for the budget-food hunters.<br/><br/>2) BHETKI PATURI: 3.5/5<br/>Surprisingly, they serve Bhetki Paturi for quite lesser amount than what the Bhojohoris do. And trust me when I say that your taste-buds shall not be disappointed, for sure. The Bhetki seemed a little chewy which makes me guess that it had been in the refrigerator for some long time before arriving on my plate. The food is amazing. I being from North really enjoyed the flavour of Bengal at this place. Staff is very warm especially the owner has been a wonderful host.

Bong Bay - I am a pure vegetarian and i must say that first before proceeding to write further. Usually the bangal and similar coastal delicacies are expected to be sea food predominant or basically non veg majority. I was expecting that this place had a veg biryani - but i ordered a thali plate  - bong thali. Nothing extraordinary. The only thing i liked was the bendi sabzi. I myself call this place a hub for foodies. <br/>While passing through aisle, saw this Bong Bay Restaurant and decided to try it.<br/>Menu was not that big but has every speciality of Kolkata food, as per them and also the rates seemed reasonable.....which is a plus point.<br/>I had ordered Non Veg Thali which was very reasonable, INR 200/-. Plus two Rasgullas for INR 40/-.<br/><br/>As per them, Kolkata food is not that spicy and also has some dissolved sweetness.<br/><br/>Food Items on Thali & Review of each: <br/><br/>1. This month-old eatery in Galleria gave us a taste of Bongness in Bombay indeed. Have tried their Egg Roll, Chicken Roll, Koraishutir Kochuri and Lachha Paratha, and none of the items failed to delight our taste buds. Bongs in Powai, give it a try!

Order Bong Thali and Bong Payesh through SWIGGY half an hour back. Paid for it online. Got delivered only Bong Thali and Bong Payesh is missing.<br/>Told the Delivery Guy and he said Restaurant claimed that Customer cancelled the item. Swiggy does not allow any Customer to cancel an item after paying for it online.<br/>Highly disappointed and inconvenienced. Nobody wants to take ownership to resolve it. It's not about a small item or a mere 60 Rs but this unprofessional a service is difficult to take. Really liked the food but very bad experience.
