Quite an old family restaurant situated in the heart of Dombivli suburb. The food taste and quantity has been surpassing all expectations since the past few decades now. The owner and his son being very old acquaintances to us, always go an extra mile to ensure that we are comfortable and are enjoying our time. Even got us a complimentary sweet dish on the house for a special occasion i.e. birthday. Only suggestion being - if they could refurbish & renovate the place to keep up with the current times.

Ambience is really good, it has old charm feels really good, it's simple yet attractive, staff is good and food is good as well. The bestest dish - Chana Garlic Fry, you can have it during drinks for munching, but this kind of quality and taste hard to find. Chinese food taste can be improved. Overall good experience. This review is about Rangoli Family Restaurant which is on 1st floor.

Only Parking is a challenge. Three different sections available as per your company's requirements. Worth trying since the owner Mr. Jagdish Anna has personal touch with almost all visitors.

Very good place where I found tasty non veg dishes

My family has been a loyal customer of Rangoli since 1996 when I was still a kid. I no longer stay in dombivali but whenever I go to Dombivli and have occasion for dinner I prefer to visit the Restaurant.* The whole warm homely feeling goes to the owner of rangoli hotel.

Rangoli is one of the oldest restaurants in Dombivli and is known for the good hospitality and the superb food. I have been visiting place many times though not frequently or its not my favorite restaurants. But, I can definitely vouch for the hotel for the reason - food. Drawbacks are parking. The restaurant is located on a busy street and hence it's very difficult to find a parking as the restaurant doesnt have it own parking. Rest... You can always try the tasty food whether veg or non veg, it's guaranteed to have the pleasant experience...

It is at walkable distance from Railway station.Best place for nonveg food. Taste is different from other restaurants. Many options available. Quantity of food is satisfactory and Good taste.The staff is way friendly and they always up for the suggestions.The service was fast and i liked the food too.. This restaurant has a very special place in the heart of many residents from Dombivli being one of the oldest restaurants.<br/><br/>For starters, we tried the Chicken Manchow soup here, it had a very average taste. The chicken lollipop also wasn't exceptional, the chicken didn't seem fresh enough and the sauce served was very mild and dry.We had to wait for a long time, for the staff to attend us.<br/><br/>For the main course, we tried Chicken Maharaja and chicken biryani and the order delivery wasn't quick enough. Although the biryani had the perfect taste and flavour. It was indeed lipsmacking.<br/><br/>It is a good place for family dining in the AC section than downstairs where smoking is allowed. The food here doesn't stand for the rates at which it is served.The staff can be a bit more efficient. Went for a lunch party with while family yesterday. I have used this restaurant before as well but this time it was a horrendous experience and have made my mind to blacklist this place for ever. I ordered for chicken chilly which was raw and equivalent to elastic rubber. Onion served in the salad looked so dirty as if it was cut a day prior and put in fridge. The service was super slow and the plates on which food was served looked old and we're not clean enough.<br/>All in all wasted a good amount of money on this place. If you are looking for a good family meal avoid this place it sucks big time. Also the kids in the family got an upset stomach after eating this food.<br/>

Overpriced and outdated. I ordered chicken noodles and changed the order to chicken Singapore noodles in 5 secs after the first order and an old arrogant waiter says me 'mehenga hai'😂. I said chalega and he brings me veg Singapore noodles. They even worry about your finances. The ambience would make you sad. You have a lot more options elsewhere in Dombivli.

This is a place which has its own standards and its Beauty. If u r a person who likes to have a good meal in a place which serves u good food ,which has a good decor and ambience then you must try this hotel. This place can b perfect for romantic dates. They even serve for large group of people. I visited the place for a dinner date ni8 with my ladies(mom n neighbor) on women's day. As it was a spcl day for women the place was fully occupied. I had to wait for atleast 30 mins for getting a seat. We ordered lababdar veg kabab,chicken platter (i dnt remember its name) ,veg Biriyani and chicken biriyani, and sizzling brownie. After orderin the starters we almost waited another half an hour for it to get served. Durin dat duration also dere was no staff to attend our table. So the customer service wasnt good as they cant handle a large crowd . Quantity and quality wise the food was good. The food here is expensive also. So the overall rating according to me is<br/>10/10 for decor<br/>9/10 for quantity and taste of food<br/>5/10 for customer service <br/>6/10 for cost of food.

I found cockroach in food today. Management was so pathetic, they dont even apologised. I think Food depatment should take action . I am suggesting people here dont visit the place. Its risk to your life.I am going to complaint to FSSI about the same.

I had been to this resto twice..First time when I visited here, we ordered Butter Chicken..It was dull and totally dry..It was not up to the mark..<br/>The chicken was stale..It was like rubber..<br/>In my next visit we went for Chicken lollipop..It was good in taste..Also we ordered Chicken Tikka..Chicken Tikka was yummiest of all..

I've been visiting this restaurant in Dombivali since the time I was 7 years old. My memory of this place was so positive that I never stopped visiting and now it is one of the top ranking restaurants for me in Dombivali! <br/>I've tried endless dishes here but I have certain favorites that keep drawing me back here like a moth to flame. <br/><br/>#1 Chicken Lollipop - The ones served here are actual drums of heaven. It is not very brightly colored but don't go by how it looks. The batter for this one is perfect. The wings are skin on and the coating is thin and even so that you can get a balance of the crunch and the succulent meat in every single bite. They come 7 in a plate and me and my sister never settle for a single plate cos who'd want to fight for the odd piece? <br/><br/>#All their Biryanis - Oh My God. The Biryanis here are supremely flavorful. They have a variety of options some of which are veg biryani, aloo chole biryani, paneer biryani and chicken biryani. Its pure magic cos they get the flavor right every time. The masala is perfectly rendering flavor to the rice and complimenting the vegetables. What I like the most about this biryani is their caramelised onions. These are somewhere between full fried and just golden brown which gives it that bite followed by a melt. They bring the whole dish together. <br/><br/>#Dal Khichadi and Lasooni Palak - Both of these go hand in hand for me. This is the place where I tried both these dishes for the first time and together. That's when I understood the meaning of comfort food. There's not much to say but try!<br/><br/>#Chicken Tikka Masala - Lip-smacking juicy chunks of chicken immersed in the finest and most exquisite Tikka masala base. What can I say! It is tangy, spicy and masaledar - just how a tikka masala should be.<br/><br/>The restaurant has a decent place and does play host to family functions but with reservations. Their service has never dropped and the owner is the sweetest man I've ever met! He makes sure each of his guests is well-seated and comfortable. Most importantly he makes sure they enjoy the food.

Heard that the nonveg they serve is good. Falling for that went to this place 2weeks ago.<br/>As it was sunday but it was IPL Final match so people stayed at home instead going restaurants. The restaurant was not too crowdy. There was a table vacant for 6.<br/>Even we were 4 people but they didn't allow us. Instead they kept us waiting for 20 minutes saying that you're not group of 6. Nobody with group of 6 was there and we were made to wait for very bad reason.<br/><br/><br/>Coming to the Food, I swear paying such a huge amount for kebab was worst. The ambience is good. The service is fine. The quantity of food is average. The taste of food is good. The best part is the owner himself talks with the customer unlike other restaurants.

I fail to wonder why has zomato placed a table reservation for this restaurant - It's of no relevance! We did a table booking and got the confirmation for 10pm. When we reached the place, we had to stand in queue like regular visitors and finally got our table an hour later, when half a dozen people left. Its actually a pain when you have to make elderly people in your family wait despite a table reservation! Known for its food quality, it retains the goodwill and taste! Customer service is ok. My recommendation that zomato should monitor whether table reservations are met or not before they give the confirmation message! Food 3/5, Overall 1.5/5

A disappointing meal.  Lovely dining room, classy linens, very eager waitstaff, but the (alcoholic) drinks weren't very tasty, and the food was average.  The high price didn't justify itself to our thinking.

This place somehow disappointed me more than once and so got itself in my very seldom "not good"  list.<br/>I visited this place at least 3-4 times.<br/>Our First time here was good (okay plus actually). We tried Golden Prawns and fish fingers ... that was really amazing. However soup and main course wasnt that great.<br/>We tried it couple of times after that visit  ...  just to try fish fingers again. but it failed to deliver.<br/><br/>Our last visit was a disaster. <br/>We went to celebrate our friend's birthday there and ordered Cream of chicken soup and a few starters.<br/>For me, soup is must have to start restaurant meal - and generally decides the further success of my meal course.  They took good 20-25 minutes even to serve the soup. And then It was so salty that we could not even take the second sip. We complained and asked them to taste. They offered to re-do and serve again. 15 more minutes and this time all we could taste was raw cream. there was no soup - it was just cream. And no starters were served as soup was the first to be served.<br/>By the time it was already over 45-50 minutes there, and we had not eaten anything yet and we were very upset. so we cancelled the order and left.<br/><br/>This is one of the oldest restaurants in the town. But I am not sure if the quality of the food still justifies the legacy.

My first visit to this place inspite of staying in a locality very near to this place. To begin with the soups, starters, main course and the sitafal kulfi were good and there was nothing to complain about it.. What disappointed me was the virgin pinacolada served which was a complete mess as it tasted like more of pineapple juice and water and less of coconut milk due to which it was not thick as expected and it's better if we do not speak about its taste..

Located just 10 min walking distance from the station this restaurant has maintained their level of services since long and serving the customers with better offerings since long.

No complaints regarding food. Decent ambience. Especially chicken dishes are delicious. Also the food suggestions made by them are according to our expectations and are justified. Located at a prime spot parking could be an issue.

Well, one of the oldest restaurants of Dombivli, this place had always been my go-to restaurant as it is in the heart of the city and the food to crave for. But my recent visit here left me disappointed because the service was way too slow and the quality a bit degraded. First of all, no table napkins, then the plates we got were oily, we had to clean them up with tissues which also we had to ask for, not pre served. The food ordered took way too long and the quantity also was not great. Though the taste is still the best as it was since inception. Somehow this restaurant has lost its reputation, waiters looked disinterested there. I just hope it comes back soon to as it was earlier, as its my favourite restaurant since childhood.

Sharing a city with this restaurant gives me ample opportunities to visit this place. And not once have we been let down by the food or the management. The owner of the restaurant makes it a point to greet and talk to every patron who comes in. The Waiting staff has quick service. And the food is always served as it should be, hot and fresh. If you're confused about what to eat, the waiters' suggestions about the good and bad for the day are helpful. Being a true to the core non vegetarian, I'd suggest the chicken amritsari or chicken masala along with butter naan followed by any biryani. Sea food, esp. the prawns are worth the money. The proportions are sufficiently fulfilling and none goes to waste. Quick tip - you need to be here early to get a table.

This used to our de facto restaurant of choice for many years. Now that I am an adult in my own right and that I can control restaurant choices for family eat outs, I decided to give this restaurant a try this weekend for my birthday treat.<br/><br/>This restaurant is located in a rather busy crossroad of the town and almost no parking space. It's better to take a rick to here than spending time and energy looking for parking spaces nearby.<br/><br/>The family section is up the flight of stairs so dark and dingy that made wonder if there is an electricity cut. The stairs open up into a modestly spaced upper floor that can seat at least 70-75 people in a go.<br/><br/>When we entered the seating area, we were promptly directed to a suitable table. It was noon and with the suddenly turned weather, it was hot and humid outside and the centralised AC was not ON. There are no fans or cross-ventilation. The staff switched the AC ON after we enquired about it. Considering it was lunch time, they should have had it ON to start with and not waited till the first customer arrived and left them sweating it out till the AC kicks in. That's just a bad call.<br/><br/>Ambience is pretty much okay. Same old family eatery feel in all Dombivli restaurants. The floor is clean, appropriately lit, smells fresh.<br/><br/>One thing that I liked was that one of the attendants almost immediately gave me a cushion for my 5-yr old to sit on for better eating at the table. The chicken was again super dry = 3/5<br/><br/>Drinks: Jaljeera, Maaza accompanied our starters.<br/><br/>Main course:<br/><br/>Prawns Garlic Dry: my dad's recommendation from his previous visit, this was a good starter that we ordered alongside our main course. Laden with garlic and fresh green chilies, the prawns tasted fresh, cooked well and beautifully seasoned. Plus they were low on oil. A big thumbs up! 4/5<br/><br/>Chicken Manipal: a coconut-based, Mangalorean curry, this was a red gravy. The chicken was cooked well and the coconut was not overpowering the spices in the gravy. An average curry, it went well with the steamed rice we ordered. 3.5/5<br/><br/>Prawns Afghan Curry: we didn't know what to expect with this one. The waiter told us it'll be green and we were intrigued to taste the sauce. This was the dish of the day with a spinach gravy with ginger and garlic, chilies making up the sauce in which the beautifully cooked prawns were swimming. The dish was great by itself, but we had it with rice, which wasn't a great combo. I would have liked the waiter to suggest that it goes better with rotis/breads. Rating purely on the dish = 4.5/5<br/><br/>The portions of both starters and main course dishes were good, serving 3-4 adults at a time. The pricing is fairly decent, none of them stood out to me as overpriced or unworthy of their cost.<br/><br/>We are light eaters and we were full with all these dishes so we didn't order any desserts.<br/><br/>I would like to come here again and try sea food - the menu had some interesting options. All-in-all, a good visit.

Well I like to visit here sometime but I literally get disappointed when you're staff say sir we don't have this and all..that's so ridículos why you mention some beverage and food on menu..sorry to say about it but this not first time..so please try to do changes for your betterness of your restaurant..well would like to come again after you settle it.. well staff are so helpful to suggest the food menu..that's like it..

Visiting this resto since 10-12 years , I would have given 5 stars 10 years ago...But evn after so many years they didnt evn change the table cloth,plates, nothing, and food quality is degrading year by year. They just take the advantage as there is no other decent  Non veg restaurant near station,the only competition is Regency. I think they should care for their old as well as new customers,can change the infrastructure and other minor things with just a week's income (yall can guess how much the resto earns). It used to be my favourite restaurant. Sry to say !

This is one of the best restaurants in Dombivli. Good quality food at affordable rates. Me and my husband have been visiting this place for almost 7 years now. The staff knows us too now :) . The best part of this place is that the owner of this resto always walks up to the people and checks if everything is fine with the food and service. I simply love this place and the food they serve. One of the oldest places for failies to have drinks and non veg food in dombivali ajd dombivali lacks in options for non veg food lovers. Prices are bit on higher side but everything is fresh either fish chicken or mutton. I always go for dum kebabs and chicken patiala chinese dishes are also well prepared.

Had been here just fews days back,they serve tasty food here! I have been visiting this family restaurant since 10-12 years! Quality of food is nice! Restaurant has bar too,i always loved dry manchurian here!

Whoa! Sunday lunch... <br/>It's my sista's bday.. And we decided to have a lunch at rangoli...<br/>When we entered the hotel was not crowded..<br/>Later lot of people gathered in...<br/>They welcomed us.. waiter was friendly..<br/>We ordered for paneer chilly and chicken chilly...<br/>Paneer was soft.. It was decent.. There was a bit too much of garlic in both of... Else it was totally fine..<br/>Then I went for a paneer tikka masala... <br/>And my non-vegan family(i am the only veggie...) Got a chicken masala.. <br/>Paneer tikka masala was good.. I am a paneer fan.. And everything about a paneer dish is only great when the paneer is soft and properly cooked.. It was cooked aptly.. <br/>Chicken masala was also good as per my parents.. Butter naan was soft.. And tasted good...<br/>Then as I was full.. I did not have rice.. These guys had a chicken biryani.. That tasted OK as per my mom..<br/>Overall it was a good ecperience..<br/>Got a new restaurant in the locality.. Will visit again..

This restaurant looks promising but food is not delicious... They garnish well but food tastes like local dhaba... Also has the worst chicken biryani of my life here...<br/><br/>Edit: Visited this restaurant for the second time. We had to wait around 45 minutes for table. This time service was very nice even the food arrived sooner. We had triple schezwan rice and the gravy was delicious and sizzling chocolate brownies were amazing.

Decent food yet tooo overpriced ! The service is bad u have to call waiters every now and then for orders ! The food didnt taste so good ! Talking in context to the price i wnt go here again ! Food taste n service need to improve a lottt !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to this place umpteen times with family and friends and I have never been disappointed by the service or the food quality. It is one of my favorite restaurants in dombivli and even though there is a lot of rush on weekends, the staff tries their level best to give prompt service. Its perfect for casual dinners especially large groups.

Portion sizes are just enough for 2 people. They might have to relook on their cocktails recipes. <br/><br/>Service: Full marks as regards courtesy, warmth and speed of service. No delays, no ignorance. Lead time is considerably low. Prompt refill of accompaniments and table condiments.<br/><br/>Ambience: Better than any other old fashioned Family Restaurant and Bar. Whenever we want to eat nonveg food we go here.. I like their nonveg food.. the ambience is good.. they offer drinks too.. though the ambience from outside looks like a bar a bit but I have been visiting dis place for year's now with family as well as frnds so I don't mind that..

Been coming here since i was a little kid. Over the years the frequency has reduced, but recently got a chance to visit this resto.<br/>Order for the day was tomato soup, fish fingers, chicken maharaja, prawn goan curry, naan and hyderabadi biryani.<br/>The soup was mildly spiced, while the fish fingers went well with the mayo. It was priced on the higher side for the quantity offered. The chicken maharaja was wonderfully cooked with a combination of red and white sauce, the boneless chicken was succulent. Must try if u want a mix of spicy n tangy in the same dish.<br/>The goan curry was very spicy, so much that we couldn't have more than one serving, had to ask for parcel. The biryani was the biggest disappointment, too much of spicy gravy combined with little rice, hence the mixture didn't go down very well. <br/>Total bill came to around 1500 for 3, which was overall reasonably spent. If you are in dombivli and looking for a leisurely place, do drop by.

Excellent food esp indian non veg food...cn b crowded on weekends..they hve gt different.rooms for family n 4 ppl hvng drinks...only drawback is the high food prices..once they tone that down i would rate them 5 :)

Age old restaurant ..its been there for so many years and we except real good & experienced staff rather the experience at Rangoli was worse !!! plz avoid it <br/><br/>Me and my husband had been there for Dinner and were amazed with the variety they offer we ordered starters which were quite tasty and we had formed an opinion to visit Rangoli during occasions. For our main course we ordered Boneless Chicken Biryani just 2 spoonfulls my husband would have had and crack came a voice he bit into a quite big stone; we were shocked a place where they charge 265bucks for a beer which is higher than what normally is we expect the food quality to match those standards.<br/>The stone was big enough which gave my husband a bad tooth ache.<br/><br/>We had given a written complaint then and there and had told the staff to inform the owner to which they said we would get a call back. NO EXPLANATIONS GIVEN YET !!!<br/><br/>Guys plz avoid this place.

Been here multiple times during my college and younger days. It was a great place for family and friends get together. <br/>The top floor is for families however the family space is not well lit, service is slow (too slow at times), food is not worth the penny spent, quantity is negligible. <br/>The restaurant has got a lower area for drinkers which is excellent. Prompt service, great starters and here it is value for money. <br/>Been here with my friends and we go here once quarterly.
