This is a small joint near Link road... It's been there since ages. Serves delicious food... Mutton liver, chicken bhuna is a must try. They serve in a very authentic local style. It's on the street where u have couple of chairs to sit or else people usually park their car and have it in car itself.

It is a small food stall, right on the road, so I'll not get into the hygiene and ambience bit. Food wise, it serves true-dhaba style non-vegetarian food, at pocket friendly price. A friend who frequents this place suggested I try the paya soup and bheja masala, which I did, along with chicken masala. The Paya soup was refreshing, mildly spicy and perfectly seasoned. The bheja fry was also well-made, and was served with roomali roti. The chicken masala was made in the dhaba-style, but wasn't extremely spicy. The place won't make it to the list of weight-watchers though, given the amount of oil the dishes had! If you are in the area and want to have VFM non-veg meals, Amritsar Da Dhaba is a good option.

Excellent place for Dhaba style food taste.
Do not expect show and blitz.... just finger licking delicious food prepared in front of you, which is not available in restaurant .....
Must try if you are on Linking Road Khar side !!

Great tava finished kebabs and tikkas. These are made in their central kitchen and they finish it off in a gravy on the tava on the cart. Served with pav or rumali roti. Hearty juicy and spicy, acidity is guaranteed 😆

I ordered Chicken Liver Masala, Paya Shorba and Chicken Pota in the starters. Loved the Paya and the Chicken Liver Masala the most, the quality and quantity is decent. The Pota was too rubbery but that's just how it is and can't help that much.

The Chicken Liver Masala is mildly spiced, the liver is cooked to perfection and an avid liver lover will enjoy eating this from here.
The Shorba was a tad bit spicy than I've had at other places but the quantity and the trotters are of a good size. Wish it was more thicker than thin even though most Paya Shorba are made thin.

I urge all food lovers to try all their food sometime. I will definitely order many more dishes ahead.

4/5stars. For the food, Happy Eating.

The food was lovely. The brain masala and the sheekh kebab were tasty and fulfilling. Will definitely be back

Good place to try for the npn veg lovers. This place is quite famous for its paya soup and tandoori chicken (my favourites as well :p) The food is a little on the spicy side.
If u are craving for authentic dhaba types Punjabi food in Mumbai then do give this place a try... This place makes sure one has a great food experience by offering highly palatable food.. Other than food if u expect much from this place you will be disappointed .. Its a small food stall right opp citywalk on link road nearby khar telephone exchange.. A man makes food right in front of u on huge tawa n trust me this guy is amazing, makes quick food n how good .. Seatings are on road n it's not for one who cares of hygiene.. U will see plenty of patrons eating inside their car or taking away parcel.. I have been visiting this place since 10 yrs now.. I am pure vegetarian n u will find only 3 paneer sabzi n paneer biryani out here if u r pure veg but trust me all these dishes are simply outstanding.. Paneer in all the dishes is so ultra super soft that u will like to have it on n on.. Paneer bhurji is my favourite out here.. Their rumali rotis are simply outstanding n to die for.. They also serve pav other than rumali roti n it does go very well with spicy food they serve.. My non vegetarian friends do love non veg food out here n trust me one won't be disappointed visiting here... Also ask for onions n green chutney in case they dont serve you that as green chutney is simply too good.. The owner is very arrogant n talks rough sometimes which is simply not acceptable n thats the only reason for me to give less rating for this place.. One needs to learn to be cool n talk in proper way in this profession .. No wonder u serve good food but then u r not serving it for free so keep that well in mind.. Food servers are ok n they do serve food at good pace .. Anyway go guys n enjoy the amazing food this place offers.. Its total value for money place, my guarantee

Food - 5/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Service - 1/5
Value for money - 5/5

If you want to have authentic food then just visit this place. The USP is its taste. Its just on the left side of the signal on the linking road before McDonalds while coming from juhu. The only thing that one would won’t like is the ambiance. There is no proper place to eat. So rather eating there u can take a takeaway because it’s basically situated on the road only. They will prepare the food in front of u and fresh. You can see the variety in the menu. The must try are Bheja Masala, Mutton Kebab, Masala Pav and chicken masala.

One of or probably the worst Butter Chicken I've ever haven is at Anritsar Da Dhaba
There's no Gravy. Only chicken cooked in onion sauce. Don't even try to order any main course from here.

This is a small outlet off linking road outside the MTNL office. Open only post 6pm this serves amazing non vegetarian fare and is a delight for non veg lovers ! This place is popular with home delivery and serving to patrons in their cars late into the night.

I ordered the paya soup with 2 pieces and the gurda- kapoora masala.
The soup was a clear tangy broth with boiled trotters, which in itself was okish !

The main dish was tasty if you can ignore the oil layers 😄. The goat kidney and testicles were well cooked, tender and tasty with the right amount of flavour and spices.

The portions were generous and VFM

MIdnight hunger cravings- head to Amritsar da dhaba !!

Food - 4****
Delivery - 5*****
Quality - 4****
Ambience - not rated as it was a home delivery order
Pricing - 5*****

Instagram id : the_omnivorous_glutton

Having the craving for “Bheja Masala” so decided to order from here as a lot has been talked about this street food style dhaba.

⚠️ if you like spicy then bheja masala is enjoyable and it is a bit oily just like any dhaba would make.

Rumali Roti was a bit chewy so yeah that’s why 3 stars.

They also sent onions and green chutney along with food.

It is definitely pocket friendly and for people like me who don’t really care about diet.

Not sure about hygiene factor as we got home delivery.

Would try the bheja dry during my next order.

Awesome Place & Awesome Food.
A place every foodie should visit.
I tried chicken tikka masala and rumali roti, the quality and taste of food was really nice and the quantity was sufficient for two people.

Been eating here since a kid, real good food and service. The gentlemen behind the massive tava makes you feel like a VIP whether you come walking or your eating in your car, always connecting one on one in a personal capacity. The best way to describe this place is food from your extended kitchen.
Akshay Chowdhary
there was no chicken. only 2 pieces. disappointing

Was very spicy which kills the taste of the kababs.

Travelled from Vashi to enjoy the food of this place. Saw a review on Youtube . So came here to try out.

Amazing place , hidden gem. 5 rating is really less for this place. I’ve been craving for it ever since i started living in bombay. Finally my wait is over and i’ve found the treasure.
Must try items:
Mutton seekh roll
Chicken roll
Leg masala
I haven’t tried brain masala yet but i’ve come here4 times in last 10 days and i have seen tons of people ordering brain masala and gurde kapure! It reminds me of Jail road non-veg thelas!

good dhaba food...makhan maar ke!! Go for it guys.

Well i am insearch of mouth watering brain masala and some one suggested me to visit Amritsar Da Dhaba and try out the brain masala . The food was not so great . Did not enjoy it as there was just too much masala in it that to the actual flavor of brain was some where missing .

The costing is quite decent , costed me ₹500 per person with a bottle of pepsi and couple of pavs.

I am still searching for a perfect place for brain masala . Any suggestions ???

I had been always wanting to try this place as something told me that this may be a place serving some delectable dishes but the fact that it was roadside and not that clean kept me away. Finally, got a chance to go there last night. The menu was a melange of all parts of chicken and lamb - kaleji, kapura, gurda, bheja et al.. I am used to eating the regular non-veg stuff and bheja, gurda etc are not favs. Hence I ordered chicken tikka masala and pav. Must say they have a unique cooking style where the sardarji (who seems to be a pro at his recipes) covers the dish while it’s getting cooked probably to allow it to steam. This seems to be their signature cooking style for all dishes.
The service was pretty quick and we (me and my son) had it in our car. My wife (pure veg) was busy clicking snaps of us relishing the chicken tikka masala with the pav. I think the fact that all types of meat is continuously being cooked on the same tava makes the taste a bit strange when you start off. But then u get used to it from the next bite onwards. The food is a bit spicy and hot and was reasonably good.

Saw many people coming by and ordering meat dishes - so guess it’s frequently visited by foodies.

If you are around there late in the night and are in a mood to try some non veg street food, you can give it a try.

very authentic Punjabi cuisine....... highly recommended..... paaya soup, chicken masala and brain masala are a must try........ light on the pocket as well......

These guys are practically legends with their age old stall. Most dishes are very spicy and not for the mild taste loving janta. Tandoori chicken and paya soup are great.

Nothing in recent memory has given me more pleasure than writing up this review of Amritsar Da Dhabha. The outfit is a well-stocked and ‘souped’ up push cart located along the perimeter of the Khar Telephone Exchange, off the ever busy Linking Road. Back in the day, this place and a parking lot across from National College were the Bandra ‘food courts’ that both young and old used to frequent in the 70’s - after hours, that is. I was back at Amritsar Da Dhabha as a returning homey (some decades later). I would like to say the place has not changed, but it has. Even the push cart is a lot more well appointed than its former self. The people on the other hand - the changing of the guard has happened. The then young chef is around, more as a 'greying' mentor, and it appears that the baton has been passed on to the next generation in waiting. Once I got over the awe factor, the one-man wait staff approached me with a menu. This was late evening around 8:00 pm or so – the place was just gearing up. There were take-away orders that were being picked up. Some fashionable ladies approached the place and ordered up a storm from the comfort of their car. I took it all in – much had changed but much remained the same. Talking about ambiance in this situation doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.

Some aspects of this place had changed: most notably, it had a menu. The items on the menu were a lot more exhaustive than they had back then, but I recognized the heroes. My local friend and I ordered the Paya Soup, the Mutton Seek Kebob, the Chicken Bhuna Masala and the Chicken Kheema Masala.

The Paya Soup is essentially a lamb shank soup but loaded with spice and flavor. It was kind of like a clear soup, looked like it was simmering for quite a while before it got served; it came with a fair portion of them lamb trotters. It was a rainy day, this is what the doctor ordered. Loved it.

The Mutton Seekh Kebobs were tender and juicy. They came packed with a punch of extreme heat. The signature size was just as it was in the past, bite sized pieces. I was in food heaven. Paradoxically, it was a warm day in heaven – I was sweating.

Next came the Chicken Bhuna Masala, served with a buttered pau (local artisan bread). I watched and marveled at the way this dish was prepared. The chef dispensed a measured portion of this pre-prepared dish from a large container onto an over-sized sizzling griddle; to this he splashed a handful of water. He then cupped the resulting steam with a mould-like dish over the chicken. Moments later, the dish was served. I scooped up the steaming hot chicken pieces and the sauce with the pau. Again, I was sweating and I had an uncontrollable runny nose. Flavors exploded in my mouth and I was feeling no pain. Wish I had some beer handy – no such thing at this stall. The chicken pieces were tender, succulent and appropriately sized. I realized that we had upped the ‘heat-ante’ a bit – and we were doing this gradually. The feeling was indescribable. It could not get better.

We were stuffed and full as a tick at this point. That’s when the Chicken Kheema Masala was served. It was minced chicken (I believe there were peas; but have no clear recollection at this time) cooked like the Chicken Bhuna Masala (the steaming technique); the sauce was a little less runny. The heat quotient was off the charts. The pau came in handy. Flavor-wise, another home run.

All in all, the food was outstanding even though it was explosive from a heat level standpoint. I would certainly give food a two thumbs up.

Now to service. Despite the many orders the sole wait staff was handling, there were no errors, delays were minimal and the service was pleasant. I wondered how the wait staff kept track of all of the orders – nothing was written – and how he maintained his pleasant demeanor through it all. Service gets a two thumbs up.

I relived my youth in those forty minutes at Amritsar Da Dhabha. Not sure if my system can handle such rich food any time soon. When I have that craving again, I will certainly head out to have some more of that soul food. For those who love spicy food – and I have a lot of friends that do – do check out this place. And while you are there, check out the unique improvised steamer; there is something to be said of the technique. Enjoy!

Was off to an incredible start with the kebabs.
The butter chicken was mediocre to say the least. Didn't taste like Butter chicken for one. And even though it wasn't bad. It wasn't great either.
Then... The brain. Eww! Is an understatement.
Tasted like the brain was a week out of date. And well not the masala or anything can save it then.

Don't think I'm going to be going back there.

I ordered for roomali roti and rice. I place the order and wait for over an hour. When I called the restaurant back, they inform me that the person who took the order is gone and hence they have no clue if it would be delivered or not. If their basic policy as a restaurant is not in place, why open a joint and sit. Ridiculous. Even if the food is good how can anyone rate this place, when they won't even deliver your food. Disappointed

A small outlet in khar area which serves north indian food. You just need your own car so that you can njoy the food inside thw car rather having on roadside.

Bhejja fry - this was outstanding dish made from heavy masal taste good with pav, the dish was made from fine chop onion tomatoes.

Mutton Kheema- this was again a hit, very spicy but tasty.

Masala pav-(must try) this was something diff i tasted it was a heavy stuffed with onion tomato masala..

This is a roadside stall kind of a place and you can either have a takeaway or eat in your car.. We had the Bheja Masala first along with Roomali Roti.. The Bheja Masala was mind blowing.. Really flavourful and simply bliss.. The roomali roti however was rubbery and he didn't have the normal rotis.. So after having this we went for a repeat of the same order along with mutton keema masala and pav.. Bheja once again was amazing but not the keema.. We could barely taste the meat in it probably because it was really minced and it was like only eating masala.. We paid just 770 for all this and were really stuffed so it's really good price wise too.. So do not miss out on this place and do try the Bheja Masala.. I'm surely going to come back for it..

The food was delectable!
Bheja Masala was cooked well, the flavours were lips smacking. Definitely vising this place again and again.
It is quite reasonable too.

I feel honored to be the first to review this dhaba and also surprised to see no one has reviewed this place as yet. If you're a true foodie this will top your list for the most awesome spicy Punjabi meal. Everything thing on their menu is YUM! Our favorites are bheja masala, gurda kapura and the paya soup. I recommend you sit in your car and eat if you're particular about clealiness.
