Janata Tawa and grill as name says its all, if you want to eat good heavy meat meal than this is the right place for you. Once you are here you will get several options for restaurant, we specifically visited this place as it look hygeinic and indeed it was. We ordered Chicken Drumstick, Pot Rice and Afghani Tandoori - Chicken Drumstick is ultimate heaven, it was so juicy and loaded with cream - i would tag this as signature dish of this restaurant. Pot Rice was also good - missed to take the snap Afghani was kind of ok, nothing special. Will visit more and update on other delicious items from their kitchen

Some of the best low budget kebabs and non vegetarian fare the city can offer ! If you don't mind a pokey table and traffic roaring outside , you're in for a treat if you eat here

A good non veg food option in South Mumbai. I will give 5 stars to food. Food is very delicious and finger licking. U can say this restaurant is excellent in food. And ambience is over all is good. Need to improve in service and in hospitality. And this restaurant is missing is very important aspect that is they don't have restroom is this restaurant.

Janata tawa and grill is one of the best restaurant located at Mohammad Ali road and it is famous for mughlai food. They have variety of food in their menu at reasonable rates. We ordered chicken tandoori, chicken tikka, chicken barra, chicken tikka tawa rice. These all were really good and delicious in taste. Quality of food is good and staff is so helpful and polite. Do visit this place to enjoy tasty non veg food.

Food is good but they care a damn about their customers as there was waiting I asked the manager how much time it will take,his reply was "abi bohot bheed hai disturb mat karo,kone me jake 5 min wait karo'.<br/>I was like how can they insult their customers like this,even if they serve the best of the food in the world (which is not the case ) ,they should know how to speak with a customer and respect them.<br/>There are many restaurant which treat their customers really like a king.<br/>If you want to get insulted and eat food at Janata tawa and grill (jj branch) than do visit the restaurant.

Excellent tasty food. Speciality is the Malai Tikka, Afghani tandoori leg and all Chinese starters are great. Best fried rice ever. Great for families.

If you don't like spicy don't go for it.<br/><br/>± Chicken Burra 1½/10<br/>What i liked that this place does is takes ready made kababs and then tosses it in gravy. But here the kabab was hard cold, tandoori kababl and the gravy i couldn't make much out of it's taste. Authentic mughlai food at mohammad ali road. The best thing i liked about the place is the hygiene. The serving quantity is nice and the food is delicious. Tried chicken seekh kebabs and pahadi chicken tikka here and i must say i was drooling over it. Amazing food at pocket friendly price. Definitely worth visiting.

I think the address is not precise but the restaurant serves really good food at an affordable cost. Although at times the staff might misbehaves cause of the rush but rest assure everything is good

We had almost completed our outing at Mohammad Ali road...And had our phirnees and Jalebi from JJ sweets and JJ Jalebis respectively..But as an after thought we got a Chicken leg tandoori and chicken seekh kebab from Janta Tawa and grill ..We had half of it standing in the road and the rest we took home..Chicken tandoori leg was good ..But seems kebab was just playing..May be we had better seekh kebab earlier from Bade Miya and Al Rehmani

The food here is cheap it is pocket friendly restaurant ,all kinds of food are available here chinese moghlai ,the desert is not soo godd ,but it is overall a good place for familu

All i can say that if u want to eat budget friendly non veg food.. this is a good place...service is not the best and u may have to wait during peak times...there is a family room as well.

Me and my friends wanted to try street food that’s when I got to know about this place located in Mumbai it’s a very nice place to visit for tikka and tandoori dishes as well as Chinese dishes especially pot rice.

Janata tawa and grill is one of the best tandoori joints at the famous mohammed ali road khao gully. We ordered the chicken tikka and chicken pahadi kebab which were tender and super delicious. They were packed with spicy flavours and are highly recommended. We finished our meal off with four desserts. Malai rabdi and chocolate mousse were both great! Kesar phirni and caramel custard were also good.

I love this place coz they serve awesome & tasty Islami cuisine. Whether it's a barbecue dish or mughlai or anything else. Quantity & Quality of food is excellent. Value for money restaurant.

Dont get confused while reviewing this place with Mohd Ali Road, Janata. This place is located exactly opp. JJ Jalebi at JJ.<br/><br/>Food: BEHJA FRY was super awesome and mouthwatering. Quality degraded. First when newly opened the taste n quality was awesome which led us to be there every once or twice in a month but now, the food quality has drastically degraded and the also the taste is not as before. The servers are also arrogant. Late service too. Fake lollipops with corn flour deep fried in the name of chicken are served here. Hope my review is used for some development for the betterment of this restaurant.

Most indecent people work here. No manners to talk over the phone. Had a very bad encounter with an ill mannered man over the phone. No doubt they have good food. But customer service counts as well in all ways.

The restaurant was very well maintained with cleanliness and hygiene given utmost importance even in rush hour ( Saturday night )... Ordered Oyster Chilli Rice as a take away from here. It was really good and the quantity was sufficient for two. The gravy had a perfect balance of oyster sauce and chicken chill I flavour. Overall i was satisfied with my order.

I am a regular here. Trust me the food is too good. Everytime i come here i order something new to eat and it never disappoints me. My favourite dishes here are schezwan tandoori, albaik chicken and bheja gurda mix. Also in chinese you should try hunan chicken

A small outlet near JJ flyover......it is usually not crowded but during Ramzan you are lucky if u didn't have to wait.....great moghlai food but I don't know why did they shortlist the menu during Ramzan....very few variety available....the 3-4 page menu which they show on Zomato has been reduced to just one page......but the quality and quantity is great...v tried chicken malai tikka...it was absolutely outstanding<br/>..v also tried Hyderabadi chicken(in the pic) and Ramzan spcl kheema.....kheema wasn't that great they had some bhaji mix with it.....service needs to be a little fast...over all a good place for moghlai food

Seating area can be worked upon.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, we ordered chicken tikka masala gravy and butter chicken with butter naan. To be honest, we've never had such lip-smacking mughlai dishes in a very long time. Flyover on the way to Grant Road..In a place where there are other restaurants such as Zaika Delicious Fast Food & Al-Rehmani restaurants right opposite, this restaurant surely has tough competition..On 2 points, this restaurant just clearly beats the other two:- 1) Fully Air-Conditioned, which the other two are not & 2) Cleanliness, which is definitely on the higher side as compared to the latter..<br/><br/>Janata Tawa & Grill is a small restaurant, with only 5-6 tables..6 people can be accommodated on each table (though it gets a little too congested..), plus the long cushioned seating arrangement is small to sit on..So after a while, your bottoms starts giving away for sure..The tables made up of hard glass are big enough for one's liking..There are two ACs which are quite powerful & this stands out in comparison to the two not-so-well-ventilated, heaty restaurants across the road..<br/><br/>Coming to the Food part, it is interesting to see how restaurants in a kilometre's radius have this unique menu consisting of items which can be found in restaurants across Delhi..I mean their Afghani Chicken, Barra Cream Tandoori, Changezi, etc. Janata has a menu similar to these few..But just like Zaika, they too concentrate on their Indo-Chinese dishes more, even though their Indian dishes taste better..<br/><br/>I recently have tried their Special Janata Chicken Chilly, Afghani Chicke & Chicken Dragon Rice..<br/><br/>Spl. Not been for dining in but tried a take away. <br/>Chicken 65 masala was spicy and average in Taste and quality. <br/>However I even took roti and kulcha which I was not satisfied with. There was hardly any difference between roti and kulcha . Secondly I expected roti to be a chapati BT it was not. <br/>Kulcha n roti were same. <br/>Expected alot more better from this place. <br/><br/>

Finally found a place where i can have good food..i loved the taste of malai drumstick and malai tikka..a good place to sit and enjoy your dinner...

I along with my friends went to Muhammad Ali Road to enjoy the food, we then we're searching a place where we could eat, found this place, it was quite welcoming, we ordered for a Lemon Tandoori and Schezwan Tandoori, which was delicious but the main cause of which my mood went off was, when I seen an underwear just below my feet. Overall I rate this place just 3 on 5.
