Nice place for some chats and north Indian cuisines. Tasty food. Staff is very polite and friendly. It's a new place and can improve a little more in terms of service. Went on weekend few items were not available.

Really loved the food and location of this restaurant. So close to Siddhivinayak temple, that it's ideal to simply visit here for lunch or breakfast afterwards. I liked the staff behavior too, who offered extra sambhar and chutney without extra cost. We finished it all, it was so delicious. Our order was Mysore Masala Dosa and Rava Dosa. Rava one takes time to get prepared, so keep that in mind. Sambhar and chutney were delicious. They offer other kinds of foods as well like misal, pav bhaji, north indian cuisine, street food, etc. but we were specifically interested in South Indian food. Check out more pics and reels on my Instagram food blog @gourmet_central

First time in Kamat - Dadar but was awesome. Food was really tasty and good. My son had Pav Bhaji and was very impressed by the taste and cheese spread on it.

It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. A good place for those who are looking for pure veg restaurant. Taste was delicious. Ambience is good. A Prices are bit high as compare to portion they serve. Service was fast. Waiting time after ordering food is less than 10 min. It has only Indoor seating facility with AC and NON AC seating option. Nice place to hangout with family and friends.
Laxman Parab
The service is good and fast. Had Pav Bhaji and Rose Milkshake. Both were delicious! Must visit if you're looking for a pure Veg restaurant near Siddhivinayak Mandir.

I had a rawa dosa, idli, and a vada. All three were very upto mark. Their coconut chutney and sambar were also really good. I'm the kind of person who really avoids eating sambar. Their tomato sambar was so much like a mildy spicy tomato soup that I relished it. All in all really nice experience. Quite crowded of a place though; Didn't like that part.

Food is really good and awsome.. we had lunch here.
Mamta Ghewande
A great place to have amazing pure vegetarian food.. We had food for three people in just ā‚¹1500.. The experience was amazing, the hospitality and service was also appreciable.. They also have AC and Non-AC sitting.. There pineapple raita is must try.. We had paneer Angara, butter roti, kaaju curry, pineapple raita,Hyderabadi biryani and masala papad.. it was really amazing.. Just a note, you might have to wait during lunch hour in cue.. apart from that, the experience was amazing..
Priyal M (festivefunkylife)
We ordered Sabudana Vada, veg grill sandwich and Manchurian dry. Food was good and service was fast.
Subhas Banerjee
Clumsy, difficult to move inside. Too many tables and too small for four eaters. Service and food are good.
Indunil Ramadasa
Food was good and tasty. Service was good. Place was clean. Also affordable .
Milind Pai
Centrally located hotel, next to Sidhi Vinayak temple. Tried Misal pav & Idly, they were good.
Dimple Zaveri
Located near Siddhivinayak temple<br/>, parking is really difficult here. They have kept the ambience basic with non air condition section on lower floor while the first floor is air conditioned seating. Tried Masala Dosa which took great time and was really average.

For quality Oriental cuisine at affordable rates<br/>I visited Chinese bistro recently, when looking for an Oriental cuisine joint and this place lived up to my expectations. Offering a variety of Chinese dishes, the restaurant is also not too heavy on the pocket. The food was extremely tasty and portion sizes were quite large as well. I ordered a veg curry and was pleased to see a decent quantity of rice, which I have not seen elsewhere. Order served was also on time, but everything else was good about this place.
Shweta Shroff
Pure indian food with very good taste available here. Ordered numerous dishes, especially biryanis hindreds of times. Love the currys and paneer recipes there and what not! Best to enjoy Indian food. Space is a bit small but home deliverys are fast and could be enjoyed equally at home and at office.

Itā€™s pure vegetarian place located near siddhivinayak temple. Place is easily located they have two section one is Ac and non ac. We usually seat at ac section. Service is quick and usually we order sabudana vada, idli, rava dosa. You can also try pav bhaji, paneer tikka with tandoori roti. Good food and quantity is upto mark and price is not very hyped. Affordable and vegetarian place to visit with family.
Vignesh Madhu
Located near siddhivinayak temple, this place is good to have north Indian cuisine. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. Good place for families.
Ayush Saini
We ordered Pav Bhaji, Idli Sambhar and Masala Dosa here. All of them were amazing. Their service is also quite good and the location is also great. It is walking distance from Shri Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Mumbai.

We're always on the lookout for authentic vegetarian places and Kamat has always been a safe bet.<br/><br/>We went here for lunch and ordered Paneer tawa and Veg Patiala with kulchas. The taste was good and the portions were generous. We ordered steamed rice too and were stuffed by the time our plates were empty.<br/><br/>The place was crowded but our orders came in quickly enough. Would like to go back.

Good budget friendly place for vegetarian food. Portion size good enough for 2 people. We ordered hyderabadi veg biryani and raita. Pretty much decent.

Visited this place for lunch along with a colleague. We ordered dal khichdi and spring dosa along with orange juice.<br/>Dal khichdi was good, spring dosa was decent with veggies and sauce in it.<br/>Orange juice was also fresh with less ice and tasted really good..<br/>Ambiance was good and service was decent<br/>Overall a decent experience.<br/>Would like to try other dishes soon..

Typical value for money Udipi restaurant. We have been ordering Punjabi and south indian dishes quite regularly. Food is good in taste, particularly punjabi sabji's. However, may be due to heavy rush for ordering, delivery take very long times, hence would suggest to keep some margin for delivery. Reasonable in prices.
Rahul Polekar
Worst experience in kamat's hotel.... Last Monday me n my family went for dinner... We order some veg Chinese item... The food quality was worst....we ordered paneer crispy.. the crispy taste like we r having stone.. it was so hard. Schewan rice was also worst.. stink was coming from food... Great proverb suits."Naam bade aur darshan chotte"..
Devesh Shukla
I had North Indian food here. Starter I had was panner crispy, which was ok, could have been better. The main course included panner kadhai, paratha, roti, babycorn mushroom fried rice and mosambi juice, all of which were delicious. Would definately visit this place later.
Omkar Patil
I am editing my previous review, which was quite negative since I had a few bad experiences. The restaurant's delivery service and food quality have improved significantly of late. I mostly order breakfast or snacks (sandwiches and South Indian food). The club sandwich is one of the best items on the snacks menu!
Mohammed.taranum
One place to visit after the Siddharth Vinaya Kk darshanam is kamat vegetarian hotel. The mausambo juice is awesome and the dosa is out if the world socially masala dosa and kanda poha. Good place start your day
Jyoti Chauhan
I have tried stuffed capsicum, its bit tasteless and everything is green, even curry is green. But Overall it is decent place to dine out with family. They took long time to serve
Ranjana
Kamat restaurant is located near Dadar railway station. The ambiance is of a typical south Indian restaurant, nothing to complaint about. Service is quick. We tried rava dosa, which was nice. Masala dosa was also good. I always try dosa and tea/coffee here.
Anup Foodie
This restaurant is near to Dadar railway station. The service is good and food is average quality. I like dosa over here. My favourite is rava dosa and medu vada. They also provide milkshakes
Akshay Kate
This place is located near Siddhivinayak Mandir,<br/>Surrounding is OK. But late service provided to the customer. Waiters are rude but food quality is good for South Indian menu. Especially Idli vada and sambhar.<br/>
IMS
Restaurant smelled amazing from walking down the street, so decided to try it. I ordered schezwan fried rice and pineapple juice. Took a bite. Rice was raw. Was not boiled properly I guess. Informed the waiter. He said that is not possible. I was like bro try to eat this, It's hard to chew.<br/>Left my food halfway.<br/>Wouldnt recommend.

This place is good for a vegetarian food for the masses. Been there for years now, it serves nice dosas and Punjabi food. I usually have the masala dosa here. I like it for its consistency. Sambar is good.<br/>This time I decided to try their veg thali. It was certainly a treat and good enough for one person.
Leslie Sequeira
A very dependable restaurant which provides good veg options<br/>Located near Siddhivinayak Mandir( Very Strategic)<br/>This place caters to office going crowd and devotees alike.<br/>The waiters can be a bit rude.<br/>South Indian food is tasty.<br/>The prices are a bit on the higher side.<br/><br/>
Me_rajjj
Located just behind the siddhivinayak mandir infront of Prabhdevi industrial estate.<br/>A pure veg restro. With a good taste nothing special much but if you are searching a good veg restraunt to have food then you try it but it's a bit expensive usually from other restraunts.<br/>The pav bhaji, misal pav were good But dadar chowpatthy is to near to this restro. if u want to eat to have all this then better visit chowpatthy.
Seema Choumal
Worst food today experience in South Indian restaurant. Idly was half cooked in idli fry. Even second time. Rawa dosa was worst. Soggy, bad.
Vikas Arora
Food is good, but very rude behavior of staff.. For sure will not be visiting again. <br/>Would not recommend this place to anybody, we checked in this place since it's bang opposite to Siddhi Vinayak temple after Darshan.
Sneha Kamath
Affordable and good quality food.<br/>Perfect for students with limited pocket money who don't Wana compromise on food.<br/>Located near siddhivinayak temple, this is our 'must visit' place after visiting the temple<br/>Love the mushroom, paneer n spring onion dosas here.
Saakshi Rastogi
If you want to grab a bite after being pushed in Sidhhivinayak, this is the place to be. A/C section had no waiting. We had your run of the mill south Indian. Good for a relaxing bite after the visit. <br/><br/><br/>Recommended if you are to lazy to visit RamaShrey in Matunga and are ok with normal south indian.@
Paritosh
Location location location. Right outside Siddhivinayak. Best place for a quick snack or breakfast after the temple scene. Underrated at 2.5. Got a quick decent service. Rawa dosa and uthappams can have.. sabudana wada lovers caution..
Pravin Ranawat
I ordered Idli from this restaurant and told them to give Jain Sambhar but then sent non Jain Sambhar and now they are telling we don't serve Jain Sambhar which they could have told us first only before taking the order

Kamat's Pure Veg is a good restaurant for Pure Veg lovers. Multiple options for veg food is available. If you want to eat fast food, South India, Pizza-Sandwiches, North Indian or complete meal, everything is available at normal rates.<br/><br/>It is located just near to Siddhivinayak Termple on main road. You can have food at ground floor which is not having AC, crowded noise and poor seating arrangement. Or else you can go to 1st floor which is AC family hall which is quite, and pleasant. Service is too poor and waiters are not well trained.<br/><br/>Food is tasty and good quantity also. We enjoyed paneer and other north indian lunch which we enjoyed. Rate wise the food is at affordable price. They only need to improve is their service and give proper training to their servers that how to behave well.
Mumbai Food Girl
If you're a south Indian food lover then don't miss out this place<br/>They offer a huge variety of South Indian cuisine <br/>Idli was so soft and fresh <br/>& not to heavy on pocket as well
Shivani.banchariya
Delicious food and on time delivery everytime I ordered. Mushroom pulav and Navratan pulav were the best items. Schezwan dosa is definitely worth a try. All in all value for money and the ambience is pretty good too.
Lalit Temkar
This restaurant is quite popular in this area. The food is average. Service is pathetic. We tried Paneer tikka masala which tasted like Paneer makhni. I think they have a standard gravy for multiple options on the menu. Daal tadka was pretty decent. Chaas was very good and refreshing.<br/><br/>For deserts they only had gulab jamun available. The server insisted that its good and must try. It took them 20 mins to get the gulab jamun. We had to rush back to office but the server said they are making it fresh and that is why its taking time and order cannot be cancelled. Finally he got us gulab jamuns. You can easily guess from the colour that it is refried and probably bought from a neighboring sweet shop.<br/><br/>Utsav pure veg restaurant which is a 2 mins walk this place, inside ravindra natya mandir premises is a better option - A bit expensive but worth it.
Sneha
Near siddhivinayak/ Prabhadevi road.<br/>Superb food....quick service. Try out paneer dishes...<br/>Masala papad is highly priced. Except that it's a must visit place.
Pooja Tolia
3rd class hotel.. Very very rude behavior by the waiter no manners at all.. He Behaved very badly with each of my family members.. Felt ashamed that I took them To that hotel..I would not like to give even 0/5.. Food was not that good also.
Swapnil Gaikwad
Food 3/5<br/>Ambience 3.5/5<br/>Service 2.5/5 (they served us a glass of water after 10mins šŸ˜”)<br/>As its having a good name in that Area & they shuld maintain it,I visited this place as my taxi driver told me to visit this place for best veg food and the food was not that much yummy but was OK nt a WOW one but its easy on pockets <br/>the menu I had was Masala papad, manchow soup,Veg.kolhapuri, kaju masala,Plain Roti,Jeera Rice,Dal tadka ....<br/>
Shivanshu Srivastav
A typical local restaurant. Space is less but tables are more. You have to adjust while eating on smaller tables. Service is really good and Food is worth each penny. You can go here with your family casually on no occasion day.
Manisha M Mehta
I have used to like going this place whenever I wanted to eat vegetarian meal because its hardly 5 mints from my home.<br/>I prefer any roti sabaji from this place šŸ²šŸŒÆšŸ›<br/>Now a days they have changed Their interior and it's look good.šŸ±šŸ˜<br/>Perfect place for light & healthy food šŸ˜‡šŸ˜‡
Siddesh Jadhav
I usually order food from here and have never visited this place but They serve one of the best pav bhaji among all other restaurants in that area.<br/><br/>It is very delicious and highly recommended.<br/>
Nikhil Shankar Mathur
Food is good. ambience is OK. It has 2 sections one the non ac and the other one with the ac. Highly overpriced. U can find another restaurant with same features with a low price here in Mumbai.
Grubzon
Located near the Elephant statue around Siddhivinayak Temple, this is a popular Udipi eatery. Donā€™t mistake it for the famous Kamatā€™s Veg chain though, its not a part of that. This restaurant is part of the main street where some eateries dot the road. The place maybe a little expensive for an Udipi. The food is your typical run of the mill Udipi grub. Nothing special nor bad about it.<br/><br/>Kamat makes an excellent choice for home deliveries since they will deliver anything in the shortest time span possible. This makes it a great choice for home orders if you stay nearby, especially in face of the better eateries being all high and mighty with their delivery conditions. Though its not a place to sit and have a meal at.<br/><br/>One can order the standard South Indian fare like Dosas, Uttapams and Idlis. Or they can order the Udipi North Indian like Makhanwalas, Koftas, Pulao and Dal Fry.<br/><br/>I love their Mysore Masala Dosa as the chutney that they apply inside the crepe is really delicious. Their Sambar and Coconut chutney are also delicious. I usually avoid sambar at most udipi places but Kamatā€™s version is way better than those.<br/><br/>Makhanwala and Tandoori roti make a nice meal if you want something more filling. <br/><br/>Food 3/5<br/>Ambiance 2.5/5<br/>Pricing 3/5<br/>Service 3.5/5
Vaibhav Gawas
Near from shri siddhiviyak temple. Nice fresh food and snacks always. Often visiting here with family. Nice service too. Masala dhosa and panner dishes are very delicious.
Misha Raheja
Great food. The staff was very polite. Its a value for money place and the taste of the food is just right for a north indian (not too sweet)
Rosetta
I was hungry, out of hard cash & wanted to eat at some place that accepts Card Payment given the current situation !! :P <br/>So here was Kamat, a rescue for me, in these days!! <br/>I had the Sabudana Khichdi and Filter Coffee here. The service was okay and not what one would expect from a place like Kamat! Coming to my order, the Khichdi was nice and hot only had to be softer & the coffee good. <br/>The staff on counter was really good and understanding. There was a technical glitch in the Card Machine and they gave me an alternative option.
Jayesh
Overpriced! Avoidable! <br/><br/>The outlet is located on the way from worli to dadar near siddhivinayak temple. I canā€™t say it is easily accessible as if you have your private vehicle then parking is a menace. <br/><br/>They have two sections first on the ground floor which is non-air-conditioned and on the first floor which is air-conditioned. It was raining quite heavily on that day so we decided to avoid the a/c section. <br/><br/>The ambiance, well it is quite simple. You come, order, eat, leave. There is nothing fancy about the place which will make you want to go there but as they are lacking in this department I thought they must excel in the food!<br/><br/>The staff is absolutely not bothered about the customer; they just throw the menu on the table as soon as the customer comes and donā€™t bother to take the order. You have to repeatedly call for one of the waiters to take the order. <br/><br/>We didnā€™t want to have a heavy dinner so we ordered for MASALA DOSA, MASALA UTHAPPA & CHASS. Normally the average waiting time for south Indian dishes is less than 10 minutes but we were waiting for almost 30-40 minutes for a simple masala dosa. <br/><br/>Dishes tried: MASALA DOSA, MASALA UTHAPPA & CHASS<br/><br/>The food was average it was on par with the road side stalls which serve dosa, there was not anything which was exciting about the food. There always is a distinguishing factor for any element of an restaurant but I am afraid to say this restaurant has none, apart from the fact that it attracts people because of its proximity to the Siddhivinayak Temple and they overprice taking advantage of the lack of restaurants around the area. <br/><br/>If you want to have vegetarian food around this area there is a restaurant which has opened up just outside Siddhivinayak Templeā€™s main gate, although I am yet to pay that restaurant a visit but I have heard the food is toothsome. <br/><br/>Kamatā€™s disappointed me and is totally avoidable.
Rajendra B. Aklekar
Food is average. Service not upto the mark, but less crowded and grab a quick bite of south Indian food if you dont find place in other crowded restaurants near Siddhivinayak temple.
Fooddiariesss (Suman)
Its an awesome place for breakfast. Try its masala dosa as its the best u will get here. Dnt try for egg sandwich and other things as u will be trolled. Try there masala chai, its gud. Ambience is ok type
Anubhav Mandke
You can always depend on Kamat's for a healthy and filling lunch if you ever forget your lunch box. Highly recommend this dal khichdi served with pappad and aachar.
Manali
Only tried this place once and it was a disappointment right away. Even a simple puri bhaji was beyond this place's capability. The bhaji had no salt and was stale. And customer service is nil. When we called up to complain, anyone else would have promptly offered replacements. The manager of the Prabhadevi restaurant offered to send us only salt instead! They are nowhere as good as Modakam - the veg restaurant near Siddhivinayak temple. Please give Modakam more business than this flop show Prabhadevi outlet of Kamat's.
Harshit Doshi
Kamat a very old and known franchise. Visited a place for lunch. Food is quite amazing. It has a Ac and Non Ac section. The day I visited sat on first floor I.e. in the Ac section. Ac wasn't working. When spoke to the waiter regarding the issue. The behaviour of the waiter was too bad and poor. Even though the food was good I would personally never visit this place. The staff doesn't know how to treat their customer. I even complained the owner even the owner was least bothered. <br/>Rated 2.0 for the food. Nothing else.
Born Foodie
The food, the quality, the quantity ... It all serves the value for money concept. This place has really nice paranthas and pav bhaji. Its a veg place and you can order fresh juice along with it. They will also do delivery for early morning parantha breakfast!!!<br/>Plan another trip soon.
Minke Sijbrandij
I came to Kamat four times with my sister and we loved the food every time. We tried dosa, utappam, hakka noodles, the south Indian thali and the Special thali. All south Indian staff was amazing, but even the Chinese was great. Especially the Special thali was absolutely delicious. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu because I know they would do a great job with all of it.
Dharshana Manoj
Just an average place for decent veg good in Prabhadevi. What we had was corn masala which tasted average. We also had dragon fried rice which was pretty good except that it wasn't dragon fried rice. <br/><br/>AVERAGE
Ashish Maru
Again one bad experience, <br/><br/>Kamat's pure veg restaurant,<br/>Taste less experience for simple order of cheese pav bhaji and veg jaipuri, masala papad.<br/><br/>Dal tadka was only boiled dal without tadka.<br/>No waiter in ac for 20 mins.<br/><br/>I would hav rated 0 if possible.<br/>Was hell experience...<br/>
Kunal
Only ordered once the food was very salty some one with high blood pressure will pass out within mins after eating the stuff they serve. Never ordered again.
Sidharth Sanjeev
An okay place to have food from if you've have a tight budget. They serve north Indian, Chinese & south indian dishes. Food was good although they use colors to give their side dishes a vibrant look. They do give complimentary onions which is a good gesture given the onion prices now.
Mayank
Very good place to visit close to Siddhivinayak temple. The service is really good and the food is delicious. Value for money for vegetarians. Pretty good variety as well considering the size of the place.
Rajat Kumar Bathwal
Went to Kamat many times. Overall the restaurant is good. great quality and taste!! ambience also great. value for money. Also near to Siddhivinayak temple
Mayank Boob
A decent place for a quick lunch breakfast with North Indian, South Indian and Chinese options. They also have pao bhaji and pizzas. <br/>The service is very slow and forgetful. And it feels that they are underpaid and seems that you are doing them a favour by ordering. It is still not a deal breaker since you won't visit this place for its service. <br/>Food is good, typical fare that you get in almost any restaurant of this kind. The pao bhaji was tasty, and so was the vada but sambhar was not good. It tasted weirdly sweet and we left it after a few spoons only. The special tea is really good but can do with more adrak(ginger). <br/>Overall go here for the pao bhaji, tea/coffee with some snacks or for grabbing a quick lunch.

Kamat's Pure Vegetarian Is Located Close To Siddhivinayak Temple In Prabhadevi Area. Happened To Visit This Place After Visiting Temple; Since There Werent Many Options Available Had To Try This Place.<br/>Ordered Chinese Noodles Dosa, Club Sandwich, Masala Pav, Idli.<br/>Chinese Dosa- Dosa Perfect In Crispness, But Loads Of Noodles Wrapped In Dosa Only Made The Things Worse.<br/>Club Sandwich- Decent. But Some Weird Unnecessary Stuffings Degraded The Taste.<br/>Masala Pav- Terrible!<br/>Idli- Best Of The Lot! But Sambhar Served With It *Pathetic* ;The Only Saviour That Day Was Idli<br/>Service Is Quick. Ambience Decent. But Overall Kamat's Pure Veg Disappoints. Only Thing Recommended Here Is South Indian Dishes.<br/>Rating- 2/5
Tanmay Aire
This is a small place with AC N NonAC partitions in d same lane of box8, faasos at prabhadevi.... The place is most famous for its a name... "KAMAT"<br/>They have dishes like dosa, utapaa, paav bhaaji N some punjabi dishes... It's like a normal south Indian hotel.... There is nothing fancy in it.... I ate masala papap, paneer kolhapuri.... The gravy of paneer kolhapuri was really yummy....<br/>Totally pocket friendly restaurant... Do visit
Shubham Kedia
Kamat is located right in the middle of Prabhadevi on the way to Siddhivinayak Temple. Make sure you don't own a car while going to this place because parking is a huge problem and valet lol, This ain't that kind of fancy place. The good part about Kamats, it has a wide variety of food which includes south indian and North indian. They have two sections A/C and non A/C. It's a decent place for a quick grab if you don't mind the mess and hygiene of that place. It's a working man's delight as its cheat fast food. It's a huge board on the main road so it's easy to locate this restaurant. There is one thing about these restaurants, if you order anything in mushroom, paneer or potato. You might be served the same gravy for all with just different names and vegetables
Ansuman Panda
Went in with high hopes of great food but was highly disappointed. Kamat's was famous for its Indian dishes. But that they serve now is food with extra oil or ghee.
Nilanjan Majumdar
Good place for a working man's daily lunch stop.. The pav bhaji and misal pav is recommendable .. The chai is a good finisher as well. Reasonably priced menu. Good everyday food items.
Arjun
Went for the first time and was in a hurry so ordered a misal pav. The taste wasn't good and voila! At the end of it, found a PIN in the gravy. That's right! A steel pin. They reacted as if it was no big deal and even had the audacity to charge me for the meal. Boycott this place!
Mr. Meleadan
One of my all time favourite restaurants around Prabhadevi area. They have a good AC dining in the 1st floor. Great food with South Indian delicacy and Chinese, but a lil off minded staff at times.<br/><br/>Good : Snacks and Tea, AC Family area<br/>Bad : Off Minded Staff<br/>Ugly :Ā <br/><br/>Tips to starters : Try Medu Vada and Sambhar with Filter Coffee :)
Sharmistha
Had a sudden urge to eat Pav Bhaji while enjoying the Mumbai rains. Kamat's was the only one ready to deliver - kudos for that..! The Pav Bhaji came in piping hot ( our place is around 1 km away) .. It tasted good too.Overall, a good experience.
Omkar Chavan
Definitely not THE authentic Kamat even though the name has everything revolving around it, as Shakesphere has said "what's in a name?".<br/>This outlet is far away from the 'Kamat's' aura. The quality of food is of ok type. What is more annoying is the service which they offer..<br/>I believe the management team will take notice of this and will improve.<br/>I hope they will.
Gaurav Prakash
I went to this place with some of my colleagues for breakfast since its close to my office. We ordered upma, idli sambhar and masala dosa. The place is small and is on the same lane as FAASOs,Box8,etc. The service is slow and the food is not at all great. What is utterly disappointing is the sweet sambhar. We still had the food and as a matter of concern,we raised it to the crew member who was elderly and he was rude enough to tell us that its always like this. Guess we have been eating the wrong sambhar all our lives. <br/>2/5 for zero courtesy and not sp great food.
Manubhav Goel
Their name is big, but the place did not meet the standards!!I went their for breakfast as it is near my office. The restaurant is like a small south Indian cafe and has a rich variety of food items in the menu. We ordered idli, masala dosa and upma. The service was a little laid back but what disappointed me was the sweet sambhar. It was by far the worst sambhar I had ever tasted. Even the coconut chutney was not up to the mark. Only the upma was good in taste. South Indian food at this place is a strict no no!!
Dr Devashri
It's very close to my house.. completely vegetarian place wer u can enjoy the snacks... pav bhaji is not that great but dahi vada n fresh fruit juices are must try..
Rahul Patil
Nothing special about this restaurant. Dont get confused with the name "KAMAT", this is not at all belongs to Mr. Vitthal Kamat. Best thing that you will get here is south Indian food. My suggestion to you if you visit this restaurant is, dont try anything except south Indian and Pav Bhaji items here. Recommended only for small snacks meals.
Tejas Rane
Known for d delicious dishes..... I hit kamat restaurant located nearby n had paneer crispy n garma garam cheese paav bhaji...just loved it..
Togepismisty
Kamat's has very quick service with a large range of vegetarian dishes to choose from. The Kolhapuri Biryani is Super Spicy but good. Their Tawa Pulao, Dal Tadka, Veg Kolhapuri is pretty good too.
Robin Singhvi
Now this is the kind of place I like - unpretentious. Its 'fast food'. Doesn't promise anything fancy like most other places. And prices are as reasonable as you can get in Bombay. Food is tasty, quick and clean. Hope the fancier places learn a lesson or two from these guys.
Kruti.rajani88
I was in this area as I had some work and I was feeling really hungry and just hopped in (ac section with only 2 tables occupied, calm and peace) this restaurant which was just next to box 8 and fasoos! Straight away ordered some Roti and subzi and to my surprise everything was above my expectation level....just Perfect especially their roti which was not at all rubbery and soft till last bite:) I was in for a surprise when the bill came as its super-duper VFM:):):)
Ankit Patel
I m staying near Siddhi Vinayak temple and Kamat is one of good restaurant near my place. The taste is good for all food but not that much best and price is also high compare to food. The delivery service is really poor but compare to other in prabhadevi good place. Thanks for reading my review this is AKtastemebest ;)
Chirag Barjatya
Not a great taste according to the prices of AC section. (Little on expensive side.)<br/>Chai was not properly hot and was too sweet. <br/>Delivery was quick though.

There are several eateries close to my residence or I would say in 100m proximity and this is just 60m away from my building and usually a destination for breakfast and snacks, I have usually been here for breakfast and my favourite has been rava.masala dosa. The food is good, recently they have renovated and overall a good place for south indian snacks.<br/>I recommend this to all my friends.

Kamat's food has been tasty at some other outlets. But the one at Prabhadevi lacks soul for rice menus. Its not upto the mark. A pulao or biryani is always too spicy and not upto the mark. Service is quick though.

Expected much from Kamat , however this fails to stand its expectations. Not much options and highly expensive. Only advantage close to siddhivinayak temple

Its a typical nashta place. Nothing great on the quality it just about suffices your hunger without so much as a noticeable taste. For lunches and dinners pure vegetarians only. They highly need a makeover in the food department. Not at all in par with the kamat's elsewhere.<br/><br/>The pricing is pretty good but then whats the point of good pricing when the product is sad.<br/>Its actually good for fresh juices.

When you visit siddhivinayak temple with your friends and family kamat restauant is the best place to have your breakfast, lunch or dinner its 5 mins away from temple ..

Good Vegetarian outlet. Misal Paav was good here. But, I was disappointed by the coldly served idli and wada. At the same time, their filter coffee was the best coffee which I had in this area. I will suggest this place for a quick lunch or breakfast.

This restaurant is located near the Siddhivinayak temple. Like a typical udipi restaurant, it emphasizes speedy meals. Come. Sit. Place your order. Eat your food. Get going. Of course, pay the bill. I have been here many times for lunch. There are two sections here, a non-AC and an AC section. Judging from the times I've been here it is frequently visited by corporate types for lunch. <br/><br/>The food is decent and there is enough variety for people with different preferences in cuisine. The service is quick most of the time. But I feel that it is a tad overpriced in related to the ambience, service and food quality.<br/><br/>In terms of convenience however it cannot be beat so I will keep visiting this place until a better alternative pops up.

Food is below average. Taste just ok. Ambience is poor. Waiters are too casual. And totally not worth to the price. I will prefer domino's which is just opposite the road than this place.

For over 3 years i had walked by this little joint which is just next to siddhivinayak temple on my way to my workplace. i must have eaten there more than 30-40 times over that course , most of it being breakfast meals.<br/><br/>Kamat is not your dine in restaurent and neither it is your fancy takeway. Its not airconditioned and you might have to share your table with someone too. It is a kind of an "udupi" , only it also serves north indian fare. Kamat is the perfect definition of everything that is wrong with most of mumbai's local small restaurents .It is a classic example of what i call as the averaging out effect .Almost all of the north indian dishes taste the same whether it is okra or brinjal or cauliflower. It is not a main course place for sure as there are just two standard gravies in which all the dishes are cooked.<br/><br/>Whats good in kamat is the breakfast. Its got good idlis and very nice Medu Vadas . Also the Misal Pav is very nice. But Alas it throws it all away in its sambar. For some reason , i have never been able to figure out why do they make sambar sweet . I mean i have stayed in south india for over 2 years ...each state has a different version but none of them make a sweet one.....its sacrilege.....<br/><br/>Visit kamat if you are stuck very late for some strange reason near siddhivinayak....kamat narrowly beats the CCD's sandwiches across the road....
