Review Ekaa - Mumbai

Much recommended place if looking for good drinks clubbed with delicious food. Only those who are ready to explore different food should visit the place. Everything we tried was just bang on. Super happy and satisfied with the entire experience. It’s little on an expensive side, but you won’t regret paying for it. Had 6 drinks, 3 tapas, and 2 mains between 2 ppl and paid 12k plus Would definitely recommend 🥂

Ekaa has a unique concept where every dish is named after its primary ingredient. So you order an ingredient and you’re surprised with a dish with various textures and flavours. We tried Sourdough and Young Corn 2.0 as tapas. The bread was absolutely on point with a cauliflower mash and mircogreens. Corn, however, was a bit of a disappointment as it was a char grilled baby corn, slightly more than a single mouthful. For mains, We opted for Pumpkin and Wheat. Pumpkin was a twist on a hard shell ragi taco with ghee podi and some salad. Wheat was a modern twist on the age old masala papad with lettuce and avocado as toppings. Both the mains had a great mix of textures and flavours. The dessert was an absolute flavour bomb. Cheese - chef’s play on a deconstructed cheesecake was truly magical! The orange blossom flavour came through. Warm and courteous staff, well trained to explain the unique dishes and combinations. I do recommend trying the herbal infusions to wash down the food. Ekaa has a beautiful bar with unique cocktails being formulated as per tastes, smells and seasonal flavours! A must try for the experience.

Have to say this is THE BEST restaurant in Bombay. Love the minimal approach to the design of the restaurant. Coming to the food, what can I say, our minds were blown. The potato thecha churro is to die for! The main course was so unique and undeniably tasty. Down to the dessert and of course the cocktails, I’d give it a 11/10. Cannot wait to be back. Kudos to the fantastic job!

Recently I had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the attentive and friendly staff, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The ambiance of Ekaa Restaurant is both modern and inviting, with a tasteful blend of contemporary décor and comfortable seating. The lighting was just right, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends, Ekaa provides a perfect setting. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Ekaa offers a wide range of options, catering to various palates and dietary preferences. I was impressed by the creativity and attention to detail in each dish I tried. The flavors were exceptional, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Ekaa has something for everyone. The standout dishes for me included the Barramundi, which was rich and flavorful, and the mutton, which was perfectly grilled and accompanied by some delicious veggies. The variety of bread options, were all freshly made and mouthwatering. The service at Ekaa was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, Ekaa Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The ambiance, the food, and the service all came together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Mumbai, I highly recommend paying a visit to Ekaa. It's a culinary gem that shouldn't be missed. Thank you young but extremely talented Chef Niyati for sharing your professional journey with us. All the best.

Fine Dine Restaurant Review I recently visited Ekaa, a fine dining restaurant in Mumbai and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The superb food was the highlight of my meal and it was evident that the kitchen was manned by talented chefs who take great pride in their work. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were exquisite. The very good service I received only added to my overall enjoyment. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to recommend dishes based on my personal tastes. They were attentive to our needs and made sure that our dining experience was a memorable one. One thing that sets this restaurant apart from others is its unique menu. The chefs take a creative approach to their dishes and the result is a dining experience that is truly different from what you would find at other restaurants. Overall, I would highly recommend this fine dining restaurant to anyone who is in Mumbai. If you are looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, this is a must-visit. The combination of superb food, very good service, and a menu that is different from others makes this restaurant a standout in the city.

What an amazing meal. I rate it 5/5 excellent service. We were taken care by brijesh and every dish was excellent. Can’t wait to try the whole menu. Meal for two-6k with an old fashion. Ohh and you have to try the Virgin Gin and tonic- fantastic. The bar tenders skills were terrific. Ofcourse I’ll be back and soon.

Booked table on my birthday..if ur someone who’s open to try new things u can definitely visit this place and try different cuisines. Good ambiance, hospitality and food served . I have booked a set menu out of which the dishes I disliked was corn n potato n time. Expensive on ur pocket (10k) for 2 set menu. Lastly was surprised with chocolates n some marshmallows as it was my birthday. No extra food served as they prepare food according to bookings on set menu!!

Exceptional experience! The food was amazingly good and every dish was special. Can’t pick just one as a favourite, however I must say my vegetarian friends were as much delighted as us carnivores. There is a lot of thought and effort gone into the preparation and presentation. The service was very good and the staff took time to share the back story for each course / dish on the set menu ! That frankly added to our overall experience … it wasn’t just the food, it became a journey thru India from the lens of a young Indian chef who told us that she and her co-founder along with their team is out to alter the concept of fine dining. And EKAA is that idea ! I agree, more power to them and their dream. To conclude- An absolute treat both to the palate and the eyes … waiting to go back 👌 PS: don’t miss the infusion concoction at the end , to seal the deal neatly.

First off- it is Brilliant. A must visit. And then again and again. The drinks menu and starter menu come together. Just go with the recomendation of the servers. They are so well informed and proffesional that you wont go wrong. My first starter was a toast with lotus leaves on it. It looked spectacular and tasted delicious. I ended up ordering 2 more starters of corn. I loved it so much that I ordered one more portion. The mains was Bombay duck as the baramundi that was recomended had sadly sold out. This too was spectacular. It reminded me of the Cod from Wasabi. Cant wait to try more on my second visit which should be soon. Chef Niyati Rao is surely a star.

Well, you're in for a culinary rollercoaster ride when you choose to dine at EKAA. The Chef at the helm of the kitchen, does a phenomenal job of bringing out the best of each ingredient and knocks it out of the park. One of the few places in the city that cooks duck really well (PS the servers ask you for your preference of doneness for the duck 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤) Simply sublime and leaves you coming back for more They've launched a new tasting menu, 3.0 , a 11 course meal, which is something I definitely want to go back for. Not to be out done, their cocktail is program is simply fabulous wherein they use various local ayurvedic ingredients and elevate them in modern methods of cocktail execution. The Petrichor and White Rann is what stole the show for me!!! The decor is minimalist yet chic. The glass sun roof in the main dining hall , which would probably throw in a lot of natural light during the day, adds to the charm. Reservations are recommended

Ekaa is amazing, stunning and fantastically beautiful... A meal at Ekaa is like a thriller—you never know what to expect on your plate until you actually go through the whole experience. The menu is cuisine-agnostic, and one ingredient is the hero of the dish. Hence, the name Ekaa, which means “the one” or “unique. The focus is on ingredients and the food.

The food here expresses itself through a multitude of flavours, all working together in perfect harmony. None trying to fight the other. A truly wonderful addition to Mumbai’s culinary scene.

We were having doubts about this place as we walked up the non-descript staircase in a dated, mixed-use building. However, once we entered the restaurant, the music, service, food, and drink each surpassed expectations. We were sad to leave because the experience of trying each dish was addictively satisfying.
