I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zao Cha House, a Pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of Mumbai city .From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the sleek and modern decor, which was a perfect contrast to the traditional flavors that awaited me. The menu was extensive and featured a variety of dishes from across Asia. I started with the Petrichor and Yumcha iced tea for drinks, which was really refreshing, perfect way to kickstart lunch. For appetizers we chose Chicken Xialong, soft bao on the outside and hot soup on the inside. Next, we had the Prawns Cheung, this is now a personal favourite .The last starter we chose was Chicken Suimai, if you enjoy soft, juicy dimsums...this is for you. For my main course, I ordered the Yang chow rice with Chicken Macadamia, which was really cooked to perfection and was super flavorful. We chose their chocolate Bao for dessert, it was really fresh and oozing with a mixture of chocolate and nutella. We ended our fulfilling lunch with their Rose Petal and Hibiscus tea which promotes healthy digestion and was the perfect end to a satisfactory meal. The service was great, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout my meal. They were able to provide great recommendations on what to order, and I appreciated how they checked in on me periodically. Overall, I would highly recommend Zao Cha House to anyone looking for a great Pan-Asian luxury dining experience in Bandra. The quality of the food and the excellent service makes this restaurant stand out, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes on the menu.

If you're looking for a delightful restaurant experience in Bandra, Zao Cha House is an excellent choice. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. The Rose Petal and Hibiscus Tea is a must-try - it's fragrant and flavorful, and the perfect way to start your meal. The Chicken Xoiaolong Bao and Prawns Cheung are both delicious and expertly crafted, and the Chicken Suimai is simply outstanding. For drinks, the Petrichor and Yumcha Iced Tea are both refreshing and unique. Moving on to the mains, the Yong Chow Rice with Chicken Macadamia is a standout - the flavors are perfectly balanced, and the dish is generously portioned. Finally, the Chocolate Bao for dessert is an absolute must-try - it's rich, decadent, and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. Overall, Zao Cha House is a gem of a restaurant that's definitely worth visiting.

Zao Cha House 💖 Glad to explore the hidden gem of Bandra pali village mumbai. Sharing this beautiful and aesthetic restaurant with you .. I Had a great time here. Food & hospitality is on point. One of the best places for dumplings in the city and  serve a proper closed bao! The bungalow which has been converted into a beautiful restaurant with an open and enclosed sitting area, this place gives a perfect Chinese tea house kinda vibes. Small and cosy place. So the food I enjoyed 👍 Vegetable and Chive Dumpling Butter pan fried Turnip cake Chocolate Bao Spring Roll Chinese Tea Lots of Wok, dimsums veg & non veg varieties on the menu. Though I am not much fascinated about Dumplings, Zao Cha has the best one. Good portion and reasonably price Great hospitality Good  for small get-togethers (arnd 35/40 people) Book a table to avoid  last min hassle as this place is small so need a prior booking. Especially during the weekends and evening time. Kids friendly

An interesting place with some palatable cuisine. The crunchy avocado roll, wasabi prawns, sticky rice in lotus leaf are really delectable and my favourites. The restaurant also serves Chinese tea, which may be paired with some of the dishes. Ask the one serving you for the recommendation or just check the menu where the same will be mentioned. For those who seek something discerning in South East Asian cuisine, Zao Cha House is a must try.

So glad we finally tried Zao Cha House. Place is cute and neat - very small space with couple outside tables and a small indoor area upstairs. A kind suggestion to opt out of the perfume-y smell (perhaps air freshener? ) inside as it was very annoying so we opted to sit out mainly because of it. Service was professional and prompt. Menu is lovely and food is delicious - reminded us the dim sum we used to have in Chinatowns in the US. We shared: - chicken xiao long bao - chicken prawn xo sauce - fried turnip cake - crispy prawn cheung fun - pan fried lamb dumpling - crispy duck roll - spinach roll waterchestnut in black bean sauce - prawn and chive dumpling - chamomile tea Food was amazing - simple clear flavours. Lots of veggie and vegan options too! Chicken xiao long bao was delicious - the soup was too good, probably the best we have tried here in India so far. My favorites were definitely the latter along with crispy duck, prawn and chive, crispy prawn cheung fun and spinach roll which was very interesting and so innovative. My hubby absolutely loved the pan fried lamb dumpling. The turnip was lovely and very different (more authentic) than other places which fry it too much in my opinion. Chamomile tea was lovely, though i would have preferred the option of jasmine tea which is my old time favorite with dimsum. Would have loved to see an option of the steamed custard bun that we have always enjoyed in many dim sum places - I hope to see this on the menu if possible :) A lovely place. Can't wait to come here again with family and friends :)

This place is literally a hidden gem and definitely a must visit. The place has a calming vibe and good food for sure. The service was nice and Vikas helped us everytime we asked for suggestions. For starters- we had cheung fun which was delicious. We also had the vegetable and chives dumpling which was tasty and definitely a must have. The pan fried turnip cake was yummy to the soft turnip cake topped with crisp garlic. After all the delicious starters couldn't have anything heavy for main course so had the fried wild mushrooms rice in truffle oil. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms but the rice was really tasty. For dessert had the Tiramisu. Another must have creamy and delicious.

Great experience at Zao cha house. Prompt service, delicious food, and one of the only places that serve a proper closed bao! Also great range of dimsums, dumplings, and tea selection. A proper Chinese tea house.

Went recently to Zao Cha House for dinner. Based in a quaint old bungalow in the Pali Village area the seating is on 2 levels. We sat upstairs which is fully enclosed. The downstairs has some alfresco seating. Contemporary minimalist ambience. Sadly, no alcohol (slightly distressed as we were looking forward to cocktails, though we made do with mocktails. For starters we had Prawn Har Gao, Water chestnut corn dumpling, Scallop dumpling, Edamame Truffle oil dumpling and Mushroom Cheung Fun. For mains we ordered woks - Bean curd, mushroom, bok choy stir fry and Roasted lamb chilli spring onion with a side of Jasmine rice. No pork or buff on the menu. No dessert as we were stuffed. We got good service from Deepak Unfortunately their card machine wasn’t functioning., only the AMEX one was.. A bit of an issue as most of us weren’t carrying cash. On the whole a good experience.. the place got quite full.

The interiors is very beautiful and unique. We tried their set lunch menu, some dishes were amazing while some were okay. Two things I did not appreciate was 1. The beverage menu. It's very limited and most of it is green tea. 2. The hospitality. We were offered chopsticks and my friend asked for a fork because she wasn't comfortable eating with the chopsticks. And I saw the two waiters grin at each other and share a laugh while one was fetching the cutlery. I don't think this serves as good service. You are in our country and here we eat with hands to begin with. So do not try to be cocky and mock anyone who doesn't want to use any other form of cutlery. I can really go on & on about this. It's a trigger topic but let's stop it here. Hope the management trains their staff on these grounds as well.

Loved it...its a nice, small, cosy restaurant. There are wide variety of dimsums and we had so many of them like lobster , scallop, prawn and chicken, crab meat, duck roll. The wasabi prawns were really good. We even tried the yangchow fried rice and their specialty spinach noodles which were delicious. We ended it with Newyork baked cheesecake and chocolate baos. The only issue was that they serve 3 dimsums which becomes a problem for a family of four like us. But overall loved evrything.

The food is incredibly. The lamb in chilli bean with rice, and the rice noodles with beansprouts and chicken are our favourite but everything is outstanding! The desserts and tea are lovely too 😌

The experience was amazing and the food as well! I totally recommend the place.

Excellent food! The menu is predominantly dim-sum, alongside a tea menu. The food is very good - pretty much everything we ordered was a flavour bomb! Be aware though that portions (especially the dim-sum) are small, so you'll be ordering a lot. The place itself is cosy, in a small house in a Bandra by-lane. There is some outdoor seating, and they also have an air-conditioned space upstairs. Think of it as a mini Yauatcha and you won't be wrong..
