Review Gulshan Dhaba - Murthal

RAHUL GUPTA
This place is in murthal on the highway from delhi to ludhiana. Recently visited with family on the way back from delhi airport. Place offers variety of food like punjabi food; south indian; variety of pakoras & sweets etc. washrooms are also neat and clean. We tried pav bhaji; daal makhni; bhartha; ice tea & kesar milk. Everything was nice. Must try.

Gulshan Dhaba is a fantastic dining establishment that I highly recommend. The food is absolutely delicious, with a wide range of flavorful dishes that cater to various tastes. The staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Gulshan Dhaba is a must-visit.

We had Malai kofta Lacchha Paratha Missi Paratha mix veg and Garlic naan. All were good and the taste was up to the mark. Malai kofta was too sweet but that is how it is I guess in this region of the country. Lastly we had Kullad Chai which was really good.

The place is even older than Amrik Sukhdev and used to be the main competition of it for a long time. I have been visitor of both these places. Though Sukhdev had gained more popularity and limelight, the food of Gulshan is better. Overall taste, freshness and ease of parking even during peak time. The place is also recommended in Highway on my plate by Rocky & Mayur. The parthas filling was good and tastes fresh. Butter dollup still served in separate bowl full of it and not like Sukhdev on plate and lesser quantity. Amritsari kulhcha was large and soft, slightly saltier than it should have been. Only areas which it lacks compared to Sukhdev is only washrooms. Rest everything is better here. As load is less, faster service is expected (but it's not much delayed). Servers can be better trained to remain attentive. Parking is seemless, which is a pain in Sukhdev at peak hours.

Whenever I visit Murthal I prefer to come Gulshan Dhaba, it is one of the best in Murthal. This time I disappointed with the parathas. We ordered aloo pyaz, mix, gobhi, paneer parathas but the taste of aloo pyaz and mix parathas was the same, even these parathas was not cooked well. Taste of grill sandwich was also not good. Service was also very bad. Mango lassi and plain lassi taste was yummy.

Take it as 4 stars, I along-with my 2 friends came here for late night dinner, we ordered dry chilly paneer as starters, then we had paneer butter masala and yellow daal with garlic naan and Missi roti, pineapple raita.... Then ordered desi ghee jalebi..... I must say every food item was good but the surroundings were not neat enough means okayish especially washroom.... So according to food, u can visit there but if u want good ambience then there are many options around.....

The Thali comes in generous portions, so it's perfect for two people to share. Thali was delicious.

It’s good option in murthal. Have been here thrice. It was good always. The kulchas are really good. Veggies are average. Tea is awesome. Nice parking space and huge sitting area.

Must try their chole bhature. Their chole bhature are delicious and they serve with Saffron kulladh chai which is fantastic! Overall 4/5 Food- 5/5 Service- 4/5 (Services could be better as you might find slight delays on weekends due to rush) Atmosphere- 4/5 (Interiors are just fine and not as good as other famous Dhabhas) Parking- 3/5 (Small Parking Lot)

For me and my husband... I have ordered 1 Tandoor mooli parantha ( , it was over cooked and quite hard but the taste was good ) + 1 plain aloo pyaj paartha (received gobhi parantha instead) and 1 Tandoori pyaz parantha ( it was ok) ...along with kulhad tea( i didn't like it, was too sweet)... The ambience was qood , toilets were clean. Overall the experience was ok ok .

One of the most popular dhabas/eateries of Murthal with a huge fine in area. I have enjoyed many meals here and this time it was another fantastic experience when we stopped here for lunch. The parking space is perfect for motorcycles and the service is gracious. Awesome place for amazing food, hygienic restaurant, and humble staff! 100% recommended.

Gulshan dhaba is one of the oldest dhaba in murthal located in delhi chandigarh highway.
Visited here few days back when i was on way to chandigarh.
Their aloo paratha with lots of butter make it tasty.
Will visit again to try some other dish.

Went for family dinner, very quick service and sober staff.we ordered aloo piyaz paranthas. They served it with lot of makhkhan as per punjabi tradition. For desert we had jalebi at first we didn't like taste, and our server asked our feedback we told him that jalebi not crispy enough and been fried in cold ghee He promptly served us with updated version of cute little jalebi😍 it's really bliss.would like to visit again very family atmosphere.enjoy

If you are heading towards Himachal from Delhi and don't try the paratha at Murthal than your journey is not completed.

In my last trip to Tirthan Valley, we stopped at this place for the dinner. There are many dhabas on this road and Gulshan Dhaba is one of the best one. Teste wise and price wise too.

We ordered Dal Makhni, Paneer Butter Masala, Butter Naan, Green Salad and some sweets. We enjoyed our meal over there.

You can go with your family and friends there.

The ambience is good. Toilet are clean. Food serve hot.

Nice brunch! Had heard a lot about the place so gave it a try. Tried aloo, aloo pyaz, paneer, paneer pyaz paratha. Also had chole bhature and lassi. Parathas were flavourful and came with side of White butter. Chole bhature was also great. Also had kullar chai which was amazzing! Do come once if you are on this highway

Best place for punjabi food. I loved the parathaas specially the paneer paraatha. You can also have tasty starters like spring rolls. Chai is the best part as I visited in winters on bike so , chai to banti thi yaar. Service was good and the rates were affordable. The taste and size of parathas is a thumbs up. Mudt visit with your families and friends
.
.
.
.
#food #foodie #parathas #chai #starters #zomato #gulshandhaba #blogger #eat #sleep #repeat #foodblogger #delhi #murthal #delhifoodblogger #gurgaon #sharmikadhankhar

On our way to panipat, we stopped at this place. You check out Google for best dhabas here and you will get many options, but trust me Gulshan is the best. Yummy tandoori paranthas being served here. Tandoori paranthas are not that good, but tandoori paranthas are definitely good. We took aloo pyaaz, paneer and gobi pyaaz paranthas. All were awesome. We also took chole, tea, and gulab jaamun. I am to definitely coming here back again.

While visiting Panipat to an official tour, me along with my friend visited gulshan dhabha.. I have heard of it many a times.. More than 100 vehicle parked that time and huge resturant was almost full. We ordered ghobi parantha and allo ptaz parantha with white butter. It's was quite fresh and delight to eat.. Afterward we had sweet lassi that was also an add on. It was wonderful experience to be there...

Probably the best outlet for having some lip-smacking food on the highway. We ordered Dal Makhani and various types of paranthas including aloo pyaz, mixed, garlic and paneer. Dal which they serve is really delicious and one can order it with roti or even with paranthas. Most of the paranthas were pretty crisp and filled with the required filling. Although, the stand out was the garlic parantha which they serve which they load totally with garlic.
The prices of this place are reasonable enough and the service is quick. Also, getting a seat at this place is generally never an issue.

I visit this place atleast 2 times in a month with my friends and family.
The tandoori paranthas of this place are amazing and are famous also.
The ambience of the place is also nice. It offers both a fine dining experience and dhaba style experience.
The service of the place is fantastic and staff members are also cooperative and reachable.
If you want to have the real
parathas served in not-so-real dhaba ambience, Gulshan is the place to go to.
I had aloo pyaz ka paratha. It was everything which was promised, the right kind of crisp, cooked evenly, the right stuffing and also the right masala.
Had it with the dollops of butter and dahi which somehow tasted better than dahi in Delhi.
They serve almost all kinds of parathas there and the regular north Indian fare but i had gone there for the famed parathas experience and did not regret it one bit. 😍
The ambience is okay too. They have an AC enclosure which is so welcome in this heat.
So guys next time if you wanna have actual highways ka paratha experience head to Gulshan. 😊
Quality of food, including the much touted stuffed parathas have hugely deteriorated over the years. Early this moth I and my wife decided to grab a quick breakfast on our way to Himachal. We first went to Sukhdev, but because it was houseful there we took a U turn and decided to visit Gulshan. Horrible experience. I guess only their name continues to take them forward. We ordered stuffed aloo/aloo-pyaz paratha. It was clear, that the dough they used was not freshly done. As a result, darked colored parathas. Also the stuffing way overly spicy to mask its staleness. I raised this with the waiter, who was rude and shameless enough to argue with me (BTW, now these dhabas around Murthal are hiring cheap casual workers from Bihar/Bangladesh (nothing personally against them) fwho lack training in hospitality). I called up the supervisor, who after some haggling got a couple of decent parathas after a long time. We ordered Dal Makhni too. Pathetic taste and very poor quantity for 30% the price of Dal Makhni that you get i any decent restaurant in Delhi. Overall our experience was screwed up. Will never visit this shitty dhaba again. Quite clearly, money has gone to the heads of the owners. Poor quality for high price. Best to avoid. This restaurant is nothing but a shadow of its past. They are bringing disrepute to the famed stuffed parathas of Murthal.

I loved the taste of food - ordered paranta-mix veg, aloo Pyaz, Gobi along with curd and tea which was really so good in taste -it made my day
Service was too good
Spacious
A must place to visit, you can go with your family and have a morning breakfast there
Pocket friendly.
As Murthal has lost its original taste, the only restraunt left is Gulshan to spot real delicious parathas❤️murthal means Gulshan and nothing else
Globetrot Mom
Best part: one of the cleanest restrooms you will find in your road trips in India. Good food, less on space as compared to the other two. Gulshan is the original Dhaba that made Murthal famous, so much so that it is now the unofficial pit stop when going from Delhi to Ambala, Chandigarh, Shimla route. The parathas seem to have shrinked in size from what I remember them from 7yrs ago.

on the way to chandigarh.. always a place to be .one of the best dhaba .. been visiting this place already a decade .. the dal makhani is same as ot os.. awesome ..

this place is always full.. best aloo pyaz parantha and dal makhani

This dhaba is one of the oldest dhabas and one of the most famous dhaba in India. The quality of food is amazing. It is one of the places where me and my friends go to eat.
Nukkad Ke Deewane
Located in Murthal, Sonipat, it is one of the best places to have Paranthas! It has a lot of space and is the open 24/7. The ambience is worth experiencing.
It provides a variety of Lassi. I ordered Chocolate Lassi and that's really unique because it has tanginess of Lassi and sweetness of Chocolate.
The Aloo Pyaaz Prantha is definitely a paramount.
It is located on the highway road so anyone who wants to eat the best Paranthas while travelling can grab a bite here.
You can experience the best of it in night as it is fully covered with lights and has an extravagant crowd.

I would say this place is much better than overly hyped Amrik Sukhdev which is just running on its name now.We had a great breakfast experience whilen on our way to amritsar and paranthas were so nice and yummy.panner pyaaz parantha is must try here at this place along. No waiting , nice staff behaviour, great food and cost effective as well.

Good place to go. Except for the things, that it is costly. The service is way too bad. After repeated calls, the waiter would come. Our Jalebi and Rabdi was left, so we asked the waiter to pack it, he was so reluctant about it and not in a mood to pack, that when we came to take it from him... He said he already threw all of it in the dustbin

Better Than Overcrowded and Overhyped Sukhdev.
Food taste is better. Cost moderate. Nearly no waiting.

We tried many paranthas and chole bhature.
Delicous.

Today we had a run to Murthal, we chose Gulshan dhaba to have breakfast. We ordered paneer pranthas and aloo pyaj prathas. Along with tea. I loved aloo ones more. Also tea was made as we told them to with less sugar. We did order hot gulab jamuns as well. Service was great, hospitable staff. Had a stuffed and delicious visit.

Stop here for lunch during trip to chandigarh. They have good space for seating and parking also.
Had chole bhature and aloo ke partha, bhature was no so good but liked their aloo ke parthe and specially butter served with partha.

Weekend is sorted when you have perfect food in front of you. It was my first ever visit to Gulshan Dhaba, Murthal (Delhi). On recommendation I tried their Kadhai Paneer along with Butter Roti. Quantity is sufficient for 2 people sharing the dish. Not too spicy or salty it was just blended perfectly. Butter Roti was little crisp but yet delicious. I loved their ambience and service. They have provision for both sitting in A/C or Non-A/C zone ✌🏼

Murthal dhabas is famous for its paranthas. People come from delhi and nearby places to relish the paranthas. But, Gulshan Dhaba is one amongst the very few of the best dhabas. I have given rating of 4 because of the following.
1. Service - One of the best. Amrik sukhdev has the worst and gulshan has the best. You request anything here and they will live upto it.
2. Taste - Try their tawa paranthas. You’ll become their fans. Chhatti ki lassi is another must try. Its awesome
3. Quick - They won’t waste much of your time, howsoever husstle is there.

Loved being here. The only reason i haven’t given rating of 5 is because, i dint like their white butter. Its too diluted. Although they still give it complimentary unlike sukhdev where you have to pay for it (in case you are ordering a tawa parantha)

Sunny drives and parantha are instant gratification for North Indians in winter. We went with family to HV both few days back.

While I loved the garlic parantha 5/5 n of course the white butter , mooli parantha was a miss- 3/5. Paneer parantha n gobhi were good and not to miss. (4/5)

The dal was very good5/5 .but bhartha is a miss unlike Amritsar where it is amazing.

The chaach n chai (5/5) were just as u like it. The seating is comfortable with ac and the crowd is good for roadways.(4/5)
Lalit Nharwal
During the mandir visit to Murthal we had to Gulshan Dhaba. It has nice ambience and nice crowd. We ordered ourselves paneer pyaaj paratha with chai and its taste like my mom's hand. Its better than so called dhaba present in Murthal that even not a Dhaba's. Loved the food.
Rishabh Taneja
Just went to gulshan dhaba last week and i was really impressed by their ambience, food taste. They really serve very good taste with very fast service. Worth visited!!

In food we ordered aloo paratha with dal makhni and cold coffee. Foood was really fantastic

Food : 3.5/5
Service : 4/5
Ambience : 4/5
We visit last sunday and ordered Tandoori paranthas and they are tasty but white butter has no taste. We ordered Tea as well taste of tea is also good . It was a deadly combination of tea and paranta. Must visit place once in Month for Breakfast
Rajit Vikram Singh
This is one of the better places in Murthal. Their servers are polite and the service is as quick as it is anywhere in Murthal.

We ordered a bunch of food - tandoori paranthas, rajma rice, sarso saag, mix tawa parantha (which is actually fried in a wok), soya seekh kebab, lassi and chai.

The tandoori paranthas were good and went really well with their white butter. The tawa parantha is fried in the style of old delhi - it was too oily, but still good. The saag was nice. The soya seekh kebabs were bad - the only bad dish that night. The Rajma rice was amazing and probably the best I have had in ages. The lassi was good and the chai was spectacular.

All in all a very good experience, will definitely visit again.
The Feast That's Life
A place that's been quite a legend for a number of years, Gulshan dhaba offers a range of tandoori parathas, with of course, a huge dollop of white butter. We recently went to the dhaba for a late night dinner and ordered a few tandoori paranthas- gobhi, mooli, and aloo pyaaz. The paranthas were crisp and filled nicely but seemed a tad undercooked. We loved the huge bowl of white butter than they served which we applied generously on top of the paranthas. Along with the paranthas, we ordered dal makhani and aloo zeera. The aloo were bland and also quite undercooked, but the dal was amazing as always- it was thick, creamy and robust in flavor. After our meal, we ordered a paneer jalebi and a plate of their mini jalebi which were thin and crispy.
Mehul Ahuja (Thatbigfoodieguy)
This dhaba is known for its amazing and tasty food that they serve.
People travel from far places just to have some good food from this place.
Their service is quite fast but due to so many customers, they take time to serve food.
They have amazing variety of foods and their sitting capacity is huge enough for large group of people.
I ordered north indian food with chai.
Everything was well prepared and on point.
Though their prices are bit towards higher side. Still a worth it place to grab some quick food.
Vanshika Arora
I found the ambience quite average as compared to the other outlets at Murthal. Not too heavy on the pocket, Gulshan Dhaba can be relied for a great service and decent taste of food.

Dishes tried: Amritsari Kulcha, Pav Bhaji, Chaach

Well i loved the food and preparation of this place. Aloo puri halwa was mouth watering with mirchi aaloo achar. Sarso ka saag and makka roti had an authentic taste. We ordered Singapore noodles...whicg was actually good in quantity as well as taste. Aloo pyaz paranta and paneer paranta with white butter was awesome.

Gulshan dhaba is one decent place to stop and have good paranthes . The good ambience adds to its location and travellers are indeed forced to stop. The food was tasty . I had paranthes and tea . The wall paintings of bollwyood actors are beautiful. Overall a nice dhaba to have food when you are travelling from delhi to chandigarh ..

This place was worth the hype. Although it doesn't look like a dhaba anymore and the foods are a bit overpriced, they do tastes amazing. So if you are around, do give this "dhaba" a visit. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Decent paranthas. Though I am not a Chai person, but the place actually has an amazing chai to offer. Badam milk is another thing which ai would recommend to try. All in all good place to try your lunch.
Suggestions- Serve mint chutney along with the Paranthas.

Awesome tandoori parathas, we tried aloo pyaz and paneer but I must say aloo paratha is always best!
Also tried badam milk which is a must try here, and they served hot jalebis which were crisp and hot.
It's a nice place in Murthal for stop-by or if you are a Delhiite and out for a road-trip. I actually recommend it more than other Dhaba in Murthal due to taste of their paratha. We ordered gobhi, aloo and mix paratha along with tea and lassi in end. Tea was good. Paratha was actually better than other options on this route. Lassi can be more better , it is slightly behind sukhdev. Otherwise it's nice. They have outdoor sitting too.
Perfect stop for hunger strike. Serves tasty food items much better than Amrik Sukhdev. Chai is wow. Dal Makhani & Paranthas are worth trying.

Gulshan dhaba is a name that speaks itself this is the dhaba situated in murthal hub and known for their taste and quality from the number of years. I went their with my friends and the food was very delectable. The staff is very polite and friendly here. They are having very large cabin space and can serve a number of persons at the same time. My pickups from their menu were paneer prantha (5/5) highly recommend prantha, dal fry (5/5), shahi paneer(5/5) the paneer is very soft and delicious. Overall a thumbsup from my side. A must recommend place and will visit here again soon.

Gulshan dhaba is the dhaba well known for its name from the early times. They have a fountain in the entry of the dhaba which heals the tiredness of travellers or we can say there customers. They have a very large free parking area. Now about their food. The food is very delectable and mouthwatering. My pickings from there menu were paneer prantha served with white butter(5/5), dal makhani (5/5) , chai (5/5), jalebi (5/5) . The taste here is really good and a good place for hangout with family and friends. A big thumbs up from my side. A must recommend place for veg lovers.

Gulshan Dhaba is one of the oldest dhaba of murthal specially known for its name and fame from the decades. It is situated on the national highway 44 in the heart of murthal. There is a fountain in the entrance which gives freshness to their customers. The ambience and crowd of this dhaba is very good. It can serve upto 500 pax at the same time . The interior of the place is really eyecatching with comfortable seating with the new furniture and fixtures. The staff is very co-operative and wana serve us with their service at its best. One off of my to-do list was to eat paranthas at murthal. Gulshan is one of the dhabas on the stretch and man was it worth the drive we undertook at 10 in the night.
We ordered mix and aloo pyaaz paranthas. They were EXTREMELY good and very heavy with all the makkhan and then some more of it plus like that wasnt enough we also called for dal makhni and dahi along with pickle. The meal concluded with a glass of warm milk. All in all it was an amazing 'sinful' dining experience.

I ordered one parantha , a lasii and jalebi as well.. the lasiii and jalebi were mouth watering.. it was the yummiest thing i had in my day. And the parantha was also good but not like extremely awsome.

One of the many roadside food establishments on the national highway for hungry souls from Delhi and elsewhere to savour the awesome Indian delights. We ordered varieties of paranthas like aloo, pyaaz and mixed, choley bhature and aloo puri. Though everything was great, choley bhature were the best deal. Also, their tea was nice - strong and with just the right amount of sugar. Salted lassi was quite average.
Overall:
Food: 4
Beverage: 3
Ambience: 3 (has air conditioned and non air conditioned spaces available)
Service: 3

https://youtu.be/EjmyXGkeJ24.
You can check the video for this place. Do check it.
Place is fine and food is good. I will place this dhaba equally to the Sukhdev dhaba. and do try it's mango lassi. It will take some time to serve lassi but trust me you won't regret it.

This is one of the oldest dhabas of murthal. The ambience of the place is quite simple and just like any other road side dhaba, nothing special about that.
As far as food is concerned there paranthas are very good, sply alloo pyaz parantha.
In 2018 murthal have much variety in food and ambience than Gulshan dhaba to try out. Hence, would recommend you may try out other newly opened places.

Thanks for reading :)

Located on the NH 1 near sonipat, its one of the simple yet good stopovers. The food is cheap and they serve variety of tandoori paranthas. Its famous more so for their ambience of a highway dhabha and late night trips from south delhi, yet the food is also good.

Murthal has many other dhabas but Gulshan is one more famous dhaba out here. This place has both out door and indoor seating arrangements. Once seated i ordered a badam milk, Idli sambar, Veg Spring Rolls and Paneer parantha. The badam milk was tasty. Idli sambhar was ok ok in taste. The spring rolls were crispy and nice in taste which was served with spicy chutney. The paneer parantha was served with lots of butter which was very good in taste. Over all a nice place to eat here if you want other options.

Ambiance : 3/5
Food : 3.5/5
Service : 3.5/5
Value for Money : 3.5/5
Staff : 3/5

Just loved to stopped by Gulshan Dhaba on the way to Delhi at Murthal. We ordered couple of Paratha's along with Curd. They served with varieties of pickle and Butter. Food was really scrumptious, and fresh. Service was a bit slow but overall we enjoyed the small halt and had a good experience.

We visited Gulshan dhaba yesterday and it was much lower than our expectations, we have come several times but yesterday the food they serve was extremely bad and tasteless.
I think it lower down its quality due to rise in its name, we will never come to this store place again.

Great place to visit with family and friends to spend quality time. We all enjoyed well cooked stuffed paranthas, fresh butter and dal makhani with tea.
Would like to recommend all to visit at least once and i believe you will fall in love with Gulshan’s mouth watering dishes. After the tasty food i would recommend to go for the dessert. My personal favourite is their kheer. I always get some packed for home as well.

Tried this place for lunch. Gulshan dhaba totally gives the dhaba feels. So,I tried its dal makhni, butter nan along with sweet lassi. Dal makhni was really amazing, so was the lassi. It was nice to try something different apart from paranthas!
