Review Anil's Cafe Char Dukan , Mussoorie - Mussoorie

You be the judge based on these points- 1. Well decorated and spacious. 2. Attracts elder crowd also so you have to cope up with that 3. The food is OVERPRICED as hell. 4. The food taste and quality doesn't even come close to the price mark. 5. The SERVICE sucks. 6. I've heard that the PIZZA and SHAKES are good. Maybe worth a shot. 7. They add SERVICE CHARGE on your bill, so ask them to remove it if you don't wanna give it. 8. It does have OUTDOOR SEATING.

Chilled out Anil Uncle with a fun sense of humor, coming to food one of the best Pancakes ever had super soft and fluffy. The famous honey lemon tea is soothing and yummy in the chilly weather, being a Paratha fanatic also tried Aloo Pyaaz Paratha which was on the thinner side could be thicker(basically more stuffing). Waffles were served with Maple syrup and were crispy, otherwise inside similar to pancakes. The cheese tomato onion toast was out of the world. Anyone can make sandwich, not everywhere its great as this one, oozing & loaded with melting cheese šŸ‘šŸ‘

Visited this cafe at Char dukan in Landour. We decided to sit at this cafe from all the cafes is cause they serve only Veg momos. The places which serve both the momos always keep only 1 steamer to heat them, which we are not comfortable with while eating. So we ordered the below - 1. Masala Maggie - It was good like any other Maggie. 2. Momos - They were really nice and 3. Honey lemon ginger tea - It was really nice! Enjoyed the hot tea a lot in the cool evening weather. All in all its a nice cafe to have food in char dukan area.

Quite popular place to have waffles and pancakes. If you are going to Mussorie, make sure to have your breakfast at Anil's cafe at chaar dukan. It is a small cozy place and worth visiting.

Your trip to Mussorie can't be complete without a visit to Char Dukan, located approx 40mins drive away from main city it is a foodie's paradise. When in Landaur one cant miss the Anilā€™s Cafe esp for its omlette, Ginger honey tea and waffle loaded with chocolate. Excellent hospitality and a must visit. Char dukan as the name suggest are 4 stalls near Landour area while going to Lal Tibba. It is about 45 mins from Mussoorie Library chowk. The four stalls are ideal for breakfast while visiting Lal Tibba. The stalls have sandwich, pancakes, maggie, omlettes, etc. There are few benches/tables here and mostly frequented by tourists.

One of the 4 shops in char dukan Landour. Food was good, we had paratha, maggi and pancake. You wonā€™t find normal north indian or chinese food. It has mostly English breakfast. Dishes were good, you can also have eggless pancake. Good place to try out with family.

Wonderful little cafe in Landour; had a spicy, hot tea and tasty momos for our breakfast here; a European style cafe with tables on the paved street; Landour is beautiful and this cafƩ is definitely worth a visit once you finish a morning walk of Landour :)

Lovely place to eat Hot Momos, Banana Chocolate pancakes or waffles with their famous GLT (Ginger Lemon Tea). Chilly Cheese Toast was delicious as well..

The hype is real esp the ginger lemon tea - food is good so much better than the overhyped places in Landour - only wish there wasn't a parking lot right opp it which taints the ambience a bit but service here is quick and people are polite - id definitely go back

The cafƩ is one of the most famous 'Chaar Dukan' part of 4 cafƩs situated in the heart of the sister's Bazar at the highest point of mussoorie.
The place has to offer all what a cafƩ/dhaba can offer. Ranging from hot parathas to the best pancakes in mussoorie at a very reasonable price.
One can go here with their family and have a nice filling lunch or go on a hot chocolate date and have pancakes.
We ordered stuffed parathas, hot coffee, bun omelette and Chai and found the food to be very good and according to the price asked for.
However we found the manager to be a bit rude and the outside seating not enough, one has to wait for their turn to sit and have their food.
Price for two- Rs. 500/-

To best enjoy a quiet delicious great breakfast go early morning before the tourists start arriving. They serve great bun omelette, maggi and masala chai. You can even sit in the small garden in the front and they will serve you there

Not hunger, but the place bustling with people brought us here to try something.

We ordered Honey Ginger Lemon tea, Vegetable maggi and Bun Maska.

Our tea was superbly amazing. The bun maska could have been a bit better though.

It's a small shop in landour but food is amazing! Bun omelette and banana pancake is like a must try!!! I've tried the cheese bun omelette which is delicious. Plus they serve one of the best banana pancakes, it has really soft and fluffy texture. They serve hot and delicious aloo paratha. They serve nice and warm ginger lemon tea and coffees. Its a good breakfast place. Overall loved the experience!

Food is good to have for breakfast but the area is generally filthy. The owner seems friendly at first but was rude the moment I had the food. His money minded attitude will be felt if you aren't a big group. He is rude and disrespectful to customers. No wonder he gets the least crowd now.

Among the four shops in chaar dukaan area, we chose to try Anils cafe which apparently is the oldest one there. We ordered Nutella pan cake, chilly cheese toast and cheese maggi. Every single thing was so perfectly made with no flaw what so ever. The chilli cheese toast was absolutely delicious and simple with cheese bursting out and the pancakes were so soft and fresh. A must visit.! We were too hungry to stop and click the toastšŸ˜‹

A great bun omelette experience. A little noisy with all the tourists and dogs at Char Dukan, but we'll worth a try. Char Dukan is Anil's. We have been visiting here for over 20 years.

Recently visited Landour for a family vacation and choosing Anil's Cafe among other shops was random but ended very satisfied as the taste served by them was quite nice.
ā€¢The Space is small added with wooden dinning tables outside & inside.
ā€¢Service is fast and smooth
ā€¢Best time to visit is early morning or in the evening.
ā€¢Cheese Parantha(ā‚¹110) - (3.9/5)
ā€¢Mix Parantha(ā‚¹120) - (4.2/5)
ā€¢Veg Steamed Momos(ā‚¹70) - (3.8/5)
ā€¢1 Plain(ā‚¹60) & 1 Veggie Maggie(ā‚¹70) - (4/5)
ā€¢Cheese Parantha is soft and cheesy but not upto the expectations(as I imagined) while mix Parantha was yum.
ā€¢Momos were common in taste and veggie maggie is recommendable. šŸ‘

Ticker Eats The World
Eating at Anilā€™s Cafe (or any one of the now five shops that make up Chaar Dukaan) is all about nostalgia and love for food.

The dishes served at all the shops at Chaar Dukaan are similar with slight differences based on which shop you sit in. Thereā€™s Bun Omelette, Pizza, Pakoras, Sandwiches, Momos, and of course Maggie.

One of the reasons why Anilā€™s Cafe is recommended is because the proprietor is friendly and happy to converse and recommend. Thereā€™s a homely feel to the whole setting which is always appreciated.

The food though was a mixed bag with the Momos falling just short of being completely steamed and the Bum Omelette while good, lacking any real flavours. The only saving grace is that they use a slightly sweet bun instead of the normal burger bun.

The Onion and Potato Pakoras are recommended, even though slightly spicy for my standards. The kids loved the large portion of Waffles and IceCream. I particularly liked their Ginger Lemon Tea.

Donā€™t be fooled into thinking that either one of the Chaar Dukaan cafeā€™s are budget eats, although not as expensive as eating in a separate restaurant.

However, the Weekend rush that comes up to Landour means you will end up sitting next to a parking with cars backing and trying to manoeuvre out of tight spots leading to excessive pollution.

Ratings:
Food - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Location - 2/5 (while it would be a 4/5, the pollution on the Sunday knocks away two points).

A good place to sit and watch the sun setting.. ordered a cheese burger not worth it.. but the ginger lemon tea was good... And the companions i.e stray dogs are the best time pass... Would visit the place again

One among the other small outlets on chaar dukan area in mussorie. Haven't tried the others but this place was surely full of people. The food was quite decent compared to the price.

Butter cheese wai wai - the taste was really good. Full of flavours.

Cheese bum omlette- this one is there speciality. Quite different dish and preparation. I really likes it.

Lemon tea- very refreshing.

A must visit if in Mussorie. The honey lemon ginger tea is the best here amongst all other outlets. Their waffles and pancakes are very well made. They taste also fabulous. I love the Nutella banana and the Nutella chocolate flavour . Itā€™s a must to try !

Well if Zomato had more that 5 stars I would have given the same to Anilā€™s cafe. Anil ji is a gem of a person and his food has those qualities. He manages so efficiently even when there are so many people. Everything on a menu is paradise for food lovers. Still I had to keep my taste buds on a halt and ordered chilli cheese toast, banana Nutella pancake and adrak chai. The toast tasted amazing with chai but the way the Pancake was made awesome. It was so thick and tasty. I fell in love with the place. A must must visit in landour

Wonderful food and a very warm experience. Anil Ji and his daughter who are a delight to be with. If you're coming to Mussorie do take the trouble to go to Char Dukan and visit Anil's Cafe.

Food Ordered:
1. Tea
2. Ginger Honey Lemon Tea
3. Butter Cheese Maggi
4. Egg Paratha
5. Bun Omlette
6. Aloo Paratha
7. Pyaz Paratha
8. Cinnamon Waffle
9. Chocolate Waffle

Yes we were five people thus so much food.

Taste:- 4/5
Ginger Honey Lemon Tea and Butter Cheese Maggi were exceptionally good.

Price: 3.5/5
Mussoorie and almost all restaurants are a bit overpriced. I believe that 250 is a bit much for a waffle. But its still worth the experience.

Ambience:-4/5
Well can it get better. Queen of hills. A cool breeze and bright sun. It doesn't get better. Warm and cozy

Service:- 4/5
Service is prompt. Anil Ji is himself managing the show and quite well
Visited this place. The owner Anil ji is polite and helpful. It is a very small place with two covers inside and a few outside the shop. They offer a good variety of snacks breakfast etc. The service is quick. The Aloo paratha and the cheese paratha both are very good. The bun omelet is OK. One should keep a lookout for the monkeys who try to get your food.

This tiny Cafe serves the best cheese maggi in mussoorie.
I tried their veg and non veg momos, and coffee!
The staff is really humble and helpful, and i cannot just express how it felt to have those amazing momos on hills.

Anils Cafe is one of the best cafes if you want to stop by at Landour. It's also the oldest. No Mussoorie trip has been complete without dropping in at Anils Cafe at Char Dukaan , Landour. It's just a simple eatery but this guy makes everything so delicious. Not to miss is of course the Maggi , the Momo's and the American style fluffy pancakes served with pancake syrup. And of course you have to finish off with a hot and freshly made Ginger lemon tea served with honey to sooth off your throat and is absolutely so comforting in that weather.

This place is at the char dukan in Landour. Open from 8 am to 8 pm. Good bun masala omelettes here. Ideal for short stop and light snack in Landour.

This place is one of the most famous shops at landour and is famous for its waffles, momos, Maggie and honey ginger lemon tea. Keeping their specialty in mind, we ordered the same. Everything tasted heavenly. The taste was indeed enhanced by the amazing weather and the view. This place is definitely a must visit.
