Review Kalsang Restaurant - Mussoorie

Rahul R
Awesome Tibetan food with quick and courteous service. We went there just before 7 PM and we were lucky to find a table else there’s always a waiting period. The thukpa and hakka noodles were extremely delicious. The honey chilli potatoes was perfect! The ramen noodles were a bit too spicy nevertheless delicious as well. I would love to visit again!

Nice place but I don't very much like the food they serve. However, one aspect that slightly dampened the experience was the slow service. Despite the delectable food, the wait time for our order to arrive was longer than expected. It would have been even more satisfying if the service matched the exceptional quality of the dishes. Nonetheless, the restaurant's ambiance was charming, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, making the overall dining experience pleasant. The menu offered an array of Asian delights, giving patrons a variety of options to indulge in different flavors.

Only authentic Tibetan restaurant you will find in musoorie... I already tried the Delhi branch but the taste of the food is much better here... Staff is really polite and listens to your need... Try to reach before the dinner time (7:30 pm) otherwise the waiting time could be 30-60 minutes. Recommended, hakka noodles, thukpa, manchow soup, honey ginger lemon tea

Must try Chicken Thukpa and Thenthuk! Quantity is good and tastes great! Also tried their Chicken cheese momos. The filling was good but the outer layering was too thick!

I liked the food especially the chilli garlic noodles and devil momos, ambience is good, staff is nice but the space is too crammed and limited. Recommended for its food

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Kalsang Cafe in Mussoorie! My order included the chicken fried rice, and it was truly fantastic. Their green apple lemonade and mix lemonade were refreshing and perfectly balanced. The staff was pleasant. The overall service was excellent. Kalsang Cafe in Mussoorie is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food, great drinks, and exceptional service.

Kalsang Asian Restaurant in Mussoorie is a delightful culinary experience for any food lover with a penchant for Asian cuisine.🥟 During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their famed devil momos😈, and they truly lived up to their reputation. The flavors were exquisite, with a perfect balance of spices that left a tantalizing kick on the taste buds. The momos were served piping hot, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dish.❤️ However, one aspect that slightly dampened the experience was the slow service. Despite the delectable food, the wait time for our order to arrive was longer than expected. It would have been even more satisfying if the service matched the exceptional quality of the dishes🧡. Nonetheless, the restaurant's ambiance was charming❤️, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, making the overall dining experience pleasant. The menu offered an array of Asian delights, giving patrons a variety of options to indulge in different flavors. In conclusion, Kalsang Asian Restaurant's devil momos are an absolute must-try for anyone visiting Mussoorie. While the slow service was a minor drawback, the delicious food and warm ambiance more than made up for it. For an unforgettable taste of Asian cuisine in this beautiful hill station, Kalsang is undoubtedly a worthwhile dining destination🥟🧡.

Kalsang's always has a nostalgic feeling to it. Good times with friends and family over the years... overlooking the mall road and the lovely blue winter sky from the restaurant. Food is good especially the momos and the various Tibetan cuisine. The soups have a bland flavour which many would not appreciate. A concern has been the lackadaisical service by the stewards. Otherwise a landmark in Mussoorie.

The food was good, The atmosphere was great , Service was great , Quality wise portion size everything was good... The Chilli Chicken is the best I've ever had... Ice cream Shakes were good... Vegetarian momos are very very average... The Fungi pizza was okayish not great not bad.. Drinks were good... Vegetable cheese thupka was okay as well... I visited kalsang with my husband. We ordered Veg Ramen 🍜bowl and it was so delicious😋. I recommend people to visit this place and try their 🍜noodles. They have a variety of noodles, momos, and seafood. Their noodle bowl is sufficient for 2 people.

Really really good food!! We tried some veg Chinese options on the menu and were really impressed. Salt and pepper veg, tofu black bean and chilli eggplant were all exceptional. It’s really nice to see tofu on the menu, this is not always as easy to come by in India as we’d like.
Dheeraj Bhardwaj
The food was really authentic. People looking for indian flavour in the Chinese , Tibetan and Thai food on offer may find it different from their expectation since the food provided is very native to its origin. Worth a try. Presentation and looks 5/5. Taste 4/5

This cafe is true to its name. The food is so good. But however the service is a bit delayed and availability of seats is a big mess. The waiters are very nice but they take a lot of time. Most of the menu items whenever we visited wasn't available. Also to my angst, they gave a packed up coke bottle of ₹15/- in ₹30/-, my question to the owners is that if you had erased or if you had served it in a glass and not a bottle, I'd be okay with the extra efforts you all put in. The food was good. I specifically recommend Thai Curries.

Kalsang is a great place to have some Tibetan and Chinese food in Mussoorie. Went there per friend's suggestion and really loved the food, it was fresh and even the most common momos were different there. We tried this chicken devil momos which was certainly a great dish.

If you love Chinese, you should pay a visit to this little cafe in Mussoorie. Though you might have to wait, as the cafe is really small, but it's worth it

Kalsang was in my bucket list before I arrived in Mussoorie and it definitely lived up to expectations for me. Great food, a delightful menu which is n interesting blend of authentic Tibetan dishes as well as the Indo-Chinese classics (chopsueys, momos, chilli chicken and what not).

The staff is great and a special shoutout to the super groovy tracks this places jives on.

This is a small cozy place located on the mall road mussoorie. It is usually full and you have to wait to get a table. Despite that service is quick and food is heavenly. This was always our goto place whenever we visited Mussoorie. The dimsums here are bigger in size compared to typical momos that are available in Delhi. Noodles, Thupka , devils momos are some of the best disher here. Do try .. !! Happy eating.

Located right on the Mall, for some strange reason this place is not so popular. Possibly because the tourists do not appreciate the authentic Chinese and Tibetan cuisine. The place is heavenly for lovers of true Chinese and Tibetan stuff. Every time we are in Mussoorie we make it a point to come here. We specially like their noodle soup (Thupka) and the Tibetan bread with vegetables.

Kalsang is one of my favourite places to have thai and chinese food in Uttarakhand.kalsang in Mussoorie is a small and mostly crowed place in Mussoorie. In weekends many a times you have to wait. I really like their chicken thupka and gravy momos.I love visiting this place whenenver I am there in Mussoorie.

According to my ratings
➡️Ambience-8/10
➡️Chilli chicken momos-10/10
➡️chicken thupka-10/10( loved this dish)
➡️ chilli garlic noodles-10/10

Overall I love to visit this place and its a must try cafe in Mussoorie if you are a food lover.

You have to eat here when you're on Mall Road in Mussourie, Uttarakhand!
The portion size is big .
Affordable pricing.

Tried the Thukpa and Momos !

In frame - Chicken Fing Thang and Devil momo chicken 🥰

Basically, the chicken fing thang is just like any other Thupka that you might have had but with transparent noodles instead of normal noodles.

I personally did not like it. The presentation was good but the taste was mediocre.
Also, since it was Chicken Thupka, I was expecting more chicken and less vegetables in it. But that wasn't the case.

Devil chicken momos as also were simply perfect. It's a must have item whenever you visit Kalsang.

Highly recomended!!!!!❤😋

We ordered chicken lolipop, crispy lamb, soup and chicken momos. The taste was good, quantity of every item we order is quite huge. The theme and lighting was different and unique.

Excellent service. Very generous quantity. Noodles and hot garlic chicken were amazing. Devil momos however, were average. Overall must visit place for Chinese cuisine lovers.

Everything was delicious! The portions are huge so be careful when you order. We had the pork momos, chicken thukpa, pork thukpa, devils momos, baikhapao chicken(rice and fried egg with curry), mutton shaptak gravy which was so good and tender. The ginger honey tea is also very good.

You can’t miss out on Kalsang whenever you visit Mussoorie. The best place to have Tibetan food at affordable prices.

Tried Chicken Devils Momos- Momos dipped in a very amazing gravy! Must try!!!😋

Honey Chilly Chicken- Crispy chicken with a bit of sweetness!

Saucy chicken Pan Fried Noodles- it was good with loads of veggies like mushrooms, broccoli, capsicum etc. The quantity is great too. Located right on the Mall road Kalsang ends your quest for Thai and Chinese cuisines with some great variety on the menu. Right from the ambiance to the food presentation every detail in Kalsang exhibits the rich culture. Not surprised that this was specially recommended during my visit to Mussoorie.
The food is served in really large portions and the fact that it sufficiently serves two makes it completely worth though you might find the price to be a bit on the higher end for a place like Mussoorie. A perfect way to deal with the extremely cold weather out there in the hills. Great flavors and amazing taste, the music, the decor only making the place better.
People longing some privacy, this is not the place for unless you are lucky enough to find sparse crowds which is a rare scenario given the popularity of the restaurant. Mind that the adjacent table can easily overhear your conversations, to be honest. Secondly not a place to visit if you are running on a time crunch. The chef takes ages to get the flavors right. Tried out chicken devil momos and veg steamed momos. Though never been a huge fan of momos, they were remarkable. Brownie points, this restaurant packs your food, remember the large portions, yes you might not be able to complete at one go. No additional costs, no questions asked.
Overall one of the best places to be at Out there in Mussoorie, you shouldn't be missing out on this.
On a scale of 5
Ambiance - 4/5
Taste - 4/5
Service-4

Visited this wonderful place with my school friends on sudden trip.. We ordered veg momos.. Which really dissolve in mouth as we keep it on toung.. and steamy chilly chicken..with added spice make our trip successful in Massori.. Really loved this place..

The cold chilly weather of Mussoorie and Chinese food. what else could anyone ask for. But i stand corrected... Not just chinese... Tibetan food... Yeah that is their forte. The Chicken Lemon Thukpa soup was generous in portion and yummilicious!! What you see in the picture is just 1/2 portion. So comforting, tangy and filling...Just what one needs after a day of outing in the freezing Mussoorie.

Everyone orders momos.. And so did we !! Veg momos were really nice, the right filling with hints of green chilly and momo
dough skins with just the right delicate thinness.

All their dishes are huge on portion sizes and very VFM. The music is nice too. So a happy place with happy faces and HAPPY comforting food.

Do NOT miss it during your trips to Mussorie!!!

A trip to mussoorie is complete without dining at kalsang, specially if you are a foodie. The place it lit up beautifully with Chinese lanterns and gives great vibes. The seving staff are all young and super friendly. Food is just brilliant. I never like potatoes in my appetizers but i loved thier honey chilli potatoes to the core, they were crispy, spicy and sweet with a nice bite to them. Devil momos were also very good. The quantity of the food is huge and u should order accordingly. Overall a must visit if u are in mussoorie

Taste 5/5
Service 5/5
Value for money 5/5
Ambience 5/5
Repeat factor: if i go back to mussoorie will go there atleast twice

Best momos and noodles thukpa experience in dun. It's not budget friendly restaurant but the potion size and taste makes up for it.

Perfect Tibetan themed restaurant! So calm and peaceful ambience. Food was super delicious and authentic! Tasted the real flavours of a particular theme!❤️ The best part was the restaurant has minimised the use of plastic!😍 Also, the shakea are really amazing, do try blueberry banana honey milkshake.❤️
Romita Chowdhury
Well I ordered the chicken Thukpa and Chilli chicken momos (fried version in gravy) vs. Devil's momo (Steamed version also in a similar gravy) Fried always tastes better and both the Thukpa and this dish were great. However a tip, book a table in advance as the place gets crowded in the evenings and they only have group seatings. Also the portion size is big, enough for two with average appetite so order accordingly.
Ashwin Gijare
The place is amazing considerig other food options available in Mussorie. The range of dishes is wide and food is very tasty. Quantity in each dish is very large so be careful while you order. Overall great place to enjoy chinese/ tibetian food in the hill station.
Govind Malpani
Bland thupka, smelly interiors, and super congested seating. Just added tons of noodles to my kalsang special thupka. Total waste of time and money.
Sanket Gandhi
The taste is absolutely better than all other restaurants. A compact/small sized restaurant with too much of hassles!! Tried Devil's Momos with some Schezwan garlic Noodle..worth a try when in mussoriee!! Expensive for a place like Mussorrie..
Parama Dey
Ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Schezwan Chicken, was surprised by the quantity. The taste and the quality of the food was very good. The chicken portion in the Fried rice was quite generous. The only recommendation for this place would be bettering the interior.
Aishwarya Das
This place is a very small joint right at the corner of the road. Chinese food was really good quality and quantity wise, we had to parcel most of the dishes . The place could be cleaner though .
Deep Chakravorty
Loved the Tibetan music, the wall posters and the ever so delicious food

This is one place that I visit when I go to mussoorie. I tried chilli garlic noodles and honey chilli potato. Food was great and the quantity is sufficient for four people at least. The ambience is good and the staff is friendly.

Taste - 5/5
Variety - 4/5 (less options in veg)
Ambience - 5/5

Do visit once when you go to mussoorie

Good Chinese food for the tasting buds, don't forget to try the famous chicken momos with dragon sauce. Quantity is also good for 2. Loved the food and ambience

The place didn't feel pleasant at first but once you start eating I'm sure you won't bother much about the amibience.

We ordered Pork Thukpa, Golden Chicken Finger, Chicken Momos. Thukpa was great however felt Pork Momos tasted better than the Chicken when I visited the place last time.

It's a must visit place if you are in Mussoorie.
*Budget Restaurant*

Loved it! We had 3 meals in a matter of 2 days at this restaurant and it was great. The food is amazing. The best in the whole town. The only drawback are the waiters, who are not pleasant to look at and they don't greet you with a smile or even while taking orders, and the cramped space. But all in all decent place to have good chinese food!
Foody Baby
Its a nice place with good vibes. They server amazing food with awesome music. I love their manchurian and flat noodles. For non-vegetarians, its a bliss. I cut down 1 star coz i’m vegetarian and i found one chicken chunk in my vegetarian manchurian. I informed them nd they apologise in a very humble way.
Otherwise its a must visit place at mussoorie.
Parul Singh
The restaurant was completely full when v reached there n it the food was a clear reason as of why. We ordered a lemon chicken thukpa and it was so amazing that I wish I could have more space to eat more. We ordered veg and non veg Momo's which were very big in size. The chicken Momo's were really fabulous although the veg momos were not so perfect..but a huge thumbs up for the thukpa and courteous service in such a chaos.

It’s a small place on Mall road.. near the cambridge book store. I absolutely loved the interiors. Really catchy. A few tables had notes written by customers.. mainly love notes or reviews which I found to be very sweet. Coming to the food, i must tell you that Kalsang does not disappoint! I loved their momos, their noodles and the soup which was perfect for a cold winter day! Would love to go back again! Highly recommended!!
Mayukh
The food is great in taste and quantity both.. the interior is a little cramped.. there's little space to move around.
But the quality is great and the cost is great.
Must try the steamed momos

They have the most amazing chicken soup in town.
Specialities are devils Momo that is little bit spicy and chicken thukpa soup.If your taste buds attract you to the Chinese cuisine then this is the place for you.

After the pathetic experience at Chic Chocolate we planned a fine dine. We came here to the Kalsang which we heard is famous for its thai chinese and tibetian food. This is one of the best decision made during the trip that I will never regret. We had Thukpa, Mokthuk, Tofus, Noodles, Thenthuk, Tingmo and Saptak for the dinner.
Price is good when you look at the quantity. The ambience is too good. The have two stairs of seating. This place is always crowded during the tourism seasons.
Priti Dangayach
This place is pretty famous in mussourie for its Chinesen tibetian food. They serve varietyof veg n non veg Chinese cuisines . And every dish tastes amazing. This place really serves the authentic Chinese food which an individual craves for.
From service to cleaning every thing is bang on.
A must visit for all.

Went to Missouri to spend some quality time with family.
Wanted to go somewhere which is very famous for its food. Everyone voted for chinese and kalsang is very famous for its chinese food.

Visited kalsang, really nice place with chinese look and decor and good sitting arrangement.

Ordered paneer in hot garlic sauce, fried rice, honey chilli chicken.
Everything was really good and delicious as expected. But I must say honey chilli chicken was more than what I expected. Truly remarkable and one of the best chilli chicken I ever had in my life.
Consistency, preparation, taste - everything superb.

Foodmeter :-
Paneer hot garlic sauce - 4/5
Fried rice - 4/5
Honey chilli chicken - 5/5 (Must try stuff)

Overall really good experience. Must visit chinese restaurant for chinese lovers.

If you want to have some nice chinese, thai or Tibetan food, do visit this place when in mussorie. The ambience is okay..since it's kinda small, there is not much space to move when it is crowded.

Do try the Chicken Fried Momos, Hot and Sour Chicken Soup, and Crispy Honey Chilli Chicken

You can try anything from menu without hesitation.
I had
four treasure vegetable choupsy- **** (crispy noodles served with vegetables)
Veg momos- **** (big in size , served with super spicy chatni )
The devil momos-***1/2 ( gravy momos , gravy was little sweet in taste )
Vegetable leman fries-****1/2 (noodles served with vegetables, mild in taste)
Served with good quantity easily eat 2 person from one meal. Not very expensive or not that pocket friendly But must visit place for tibetan cuisine.
I'm not a lover of Asian food, but I was told this place serves real good food. So tried it and I'm glad I did. Tried veg momos in soup which was too good. Their non vegetarian items are even better, I heard. A must try in Mussoorie.
Travelling Taste Buds By Niharika Chauhan
This is a very well known cafe and probably don’t have too many repeated customers as Mussoorie is more of a tourist place the staff just doesn’t care about the customers.

While the food seemed normal and the experience pretty ok. It still is a must visit just to experience authentic food and ambience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Priya Choudhary
service is late but the staff is quiet coordinating and serves with a smile authentic chinese and thai food.the soup was awsm perfect blend of chicken broth and veggi and shedded chicken in it . but the other sauces and momos was a disaster and need to imporve it .
SMB
Your trip to Mussoorie is incomplete without having a meal at Kalsang.

A restaurant that serves most authentic Tibetan, Chinese and Thai cuisine. If you are looking for variety do try the chicken devil momos. Also the crispy honey lamb string chilly is just sumptuous.

Only drawback is that the place gets a little suffocated when it is full of customers.
Varun Shrian
It's a nice cozy place. The best localised food. Staff is very help full while ordering. The best part food is amazing. Just need a bit of cleanliness... though a nice place with friends and family.
Tanya Tejassvi
I am a big big Mussoorie fan and have been there infinite times, but the trip is never complete without a visit to Kalsang. Okay you will surely have to wait to get a table, but the service inside is super fast. And the food tastes great. So if the thought of slurping a Thukpa with great fried momos, in the chilly evenings of Mussoorie gives you a kick, this is the place for you. Well the ambience is great but it isnt a very comfortable dine in option for a huge group or family. For a huge group try their restaurant in Dehradun instead.
Shrishti Shree
Must must must visit in Mussorie for Chinese!

The quantity they serve is mind blowing. We ordered burnt garlic rice which could easily serve four people. The pork chilli was beyond awesome. The value for money at this place is amazing

The family favourite chinese cum tibetan restaurant. With authentic flavours, this place leads its name since a long while. If youve been here already youd know that simply saying Kalsang would bring good food memories to your minds.
.
I love the steamed momos and chicken thupka here. These are my personal favorite dishes.

Amazing authentic Chinese Tibetan Thai food! If in mussoorie I would definitely recommend. It's worth a visit 🔥 I ordered moktuk (soup w momos) , steam chicken momos, crispy veg and Hakka noodles! Absolutely mouthwatering 😍
Vaniya Dangwal
This is a small restaurant in Mussoorie with amazing thupkas and other Tibetan, Chinese dishes. Chicken lemon thupka is mild yet tasty with am amazing touch of lemon. Bam me thupka is a bit spicy and has a Thai flavour to it. Momos are average and spring rolls aren’t special either.

I was in Mussoorie a week back and I so wanted to try their devil momos as I have heard alot about it and watched so many videos .

So went there and ordered their devil momos veg
And Hakka noodles with veg manchurian gravy
This place is easily locatable on mall road

And the quantity of food provided is good enough we were three people and couldn't finish all the food.

I will rate devil momos 3.5/5 they were good but the gravy was adding all the taste and texture to the momos.
And I was definitely having more expectations.
Manchurian and noodles were a 4/5 for me

Definitely try this place out for some good food.
I tried their cold coffee watermelon mojito and lime mojito
Their drinks could have been better in form of consistency.

Our bill was somewhat around 910/
Which was good for the food we ordered!

Adding images down below ❤️🙈
Overall my experience was great
The place was jam packed when I visited there!

Situated at mall road near post office,a legendary and excellent place for Tibetan,Chinese and Thai cuisine,I tried tom yum soup and Chicken Mono, excellent and value for money. If visiting during evening peak hour, may have to wait to get table.
Aditya Nagpal
Value for money, great taste with good quantity and amazingly Polite staff. Mountains offering such an offering is amazing. I had tried momos, chilly potatoes, hakka noodles and all were above average.
SWATI TRIPATHI
Each and every travel blog and vlog that I went through before visiting mussorie, had this place mentioned and it was worth visiting. This was the first place that we went to as soon as we reached mussorie at noon and left our hotel for having lunch.
The place was teeming with people..And looked cramped to me at first glance. But once you get seated and have their food you ignore everything else.
We ordered veg thukpa, veg devil's momos and veg rice n noodles. The food was amazing, affordable and value for money. Definitely worth a visit again.
Besides, the buddhist chant of 'om mani padne hum' playing in the background all the time was very relaxing.
One speciality of this place is that, here, you can write something for the place or your memory or about your experience on a paper napkin and place it under the glass on the table..So that if you ever visit them again..you can come and see it again..and reminisce your old memories.
Partha
One of my favorite place when it comes to info chinese food. I’m a big fan of chinese food and this place definitely lived upto my expectations Great taste with a variety of dishes to choose from. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Two floor seating but gets jam packed during rush hours. High 5 to this place. 👏

A well known place. One of the best restaurant when it's about chinese or Tibetan dishes. Lovely place to visit. Whenever I visit to this place I try their momos mainly. This time I have have tried their chicken cheese momo, which costs 179/- for one plate(7pc). It was yumm as always.
Do visit to the place.
Twisha Singh
First of all I had to wait for around half an hour for a table and the restaurant staff had no management or coordination amongst themselves at all.

Even when the table came free we had to seat ourselves. No staff even paid attention to the customers coming in and the availability.

Then finally came the time to order for and lo and behold the thing that's supposed to be the speciality of this place wasn't available.

I order chicken cheese momos and was told by a waiter that it'll take around 20-25 minutes and then another waiter came and told me that it'll take at least an hour for the momos to be ready.

So obviously I had to cancel that order.

When I asked what was the speciality of the place I was told,"Ma'am menu par sab hi speciality hai." Not a response I expected from such a famous restaurant.

It has already been at least 20+ minutes since I order and still no food.

After the food arrived which included mutton momos and chilli chicken I was just ordinary. I seriously don't know what all the hype was about.

Wouldn't recommend anyone going here. It's just waste of money.
Prashant Gupta
Preparation was not good. Very oily food. Average taste. The place is always full because this is the only thai/Tibetan restaurant on mall road

I have been to this place multiple times and I can say for sure that in Mussoorie, this is the best place to have authentic tibetian food

Ordered chilly shredded crispy lamb which was so delicious. Rating it 5/5

Then we had pork thukpa which had delicious flavours. Rating it 4.5/5

Ordered momos platter which had steamed pork momos, pan fried veg momos, deep fried mutton momos with their chilly sauce and deep fried chicken momos. This platter will satisfy you to the very core. Will rate it 5/5

Lastly we had pork shaptak with tingmo which is a special tibetian bread. Tingmo was soft and steamed and the shaptak was full of flavours. Will rate it 4.5/5

Best part is that the portion size is too large. This place is a value for money place.

For beverage, we had thai mojito, which had real kaffir leaves, thai ginger and lemongrass which gave it a nice flavour.

Lastly, the only issue I had was with the packaging. We could not finish the food so we asked them to pack. The shaptak spilled in the bag as it was not packed properly..
My only suggestion for them is to improve their packaging

The service was prompt and the staff was really friendly.
The ambience shouted Tibet and there were nice songs playing in the background

The actual rating is 4.5
I ordered:
Chicken hot and sour soup- truly amazing. Just perfect. Must try
Devil momos veg- they were not actually devil momos because devil one's are supposed to be prepared in super spicy sauce. What they served were probably gravy momos but it was good too.
Spring rolls- they good... They noodle filling was on point... Just they were too oily
Chili garlic noodles- this one was not chili garlic noodles but just regular street side noodles. There was no taste of extra chili and garlic.
There quality and quantity was impressive. I saw other people trying different dishes, I would go there next time to try more.

The place serves a whole variety of Chinese food but needs to expand the seating area. At evening it gets really congested. The food tastes good but the staff needs to work a bit on politeness and patience.

Had a very high hopes since we had to wait for half an hour to get a place there. The momos and noodles we are ordered were a little above average but not upto the mark compared to the hype this place had. Disappointing was the cleanliness since the cold drink they served with a glass had an insect died in it which was quite a turn off.

The best Asian i have ever had. This place has a versatile range of Asian cuisines. Tried 6 of their soups. Loved them all. (we were 6 people I'm not an animal). Highly recommend their chicken stirred fried rice. Probably one of the best dish on the menu. The ambience is just outstanding. For a better review check out all the napkin reviews they have. Mesmerizing view out the window.

For the finest Tibetan experience, this place is a must visit!🙈 The beauty of this place, the food❤️ (especially if you’re a non-veg lover)🤭. We had honey lemon fish and saucy chicken pan fried noodles. Both were yum as hell!!😋😋
Definitely deserves 4.5⭐️

Always used to love this place and visit it each time I was in mussoorie. Visited it yesterday and as expected the food was great but the quality of service was pathetic with the attitude of waiters being snobbish as if they were doing a favor.
I thought maybe it was an off day and went again today to give my fav place a second chance. And the service was pathetic again. The momos were delicious and the chicken legs though looked tempting were cold and hard. When I enquired about a wierd looking small and disfigured leg he smirked and said that's how it is.

Its disheartening to see the service stoop down to this level. The momos and soups are still to die for and I hope the service gets back up again when I visit the next time.

This place is so cozy. Their menu is vast and the food is amazing. Chicken lemon thupka was great and so was honey lemon fish. Would definitely recommend this place for nice authentic Tibetan food.

Cannot say this place is too great, as the chicken prep was ok-ish. The expectations were high but the serve brought them down. You can expect good quality on Momo’s & soups but not authentic Chinese cuisines. But a great place to hangout, quite congested.

Bite into them and the cheese just oozes out.
.
.
.
.
At: Kalsang, Mall Road, Mussoorie
.
Love: Veg Cheese Momos, Spinach Cheese Momos
.
At your own risk: Momos may contain MSG. Request for special preparation.
.
Verdict (0-5): 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
.
.
Garlic & Wine says: Craving authentic and mouth-watering momos? Hey foodies 😇

Recently I visited place and I usually visit this place whenever I go mussoorie. Nice place with the tibetan decor. The restaurant has serves alot of tasty and mouthwatering food. I loved their chicken momos and chicken fried rice. The outlet is very spaci3ous too but still sometimes maybe you have to wait for 5-10 minutes to get a table. But the foodhere is worth eating.

Must try ! 👍

This could have been a great review..... But is a one rating... Ideally should have been nil. The service is extremely poor and the food is just about ok and further fails because of the service. Never visiting and do not recommend because I dnt want to wait for my table and then my food for an eternity only to be scorned at by the waiter when asking for my meal. Totally messed up and overrated.

The place has been hyped about by a lot of people & hence this time when i was in Mussoorie i decided yo give it a try & to be honest its just the hype & no work.
The service is extremely slow & poor & this is when its not even crowded or the peak period. God knows how do they manage when they actually recieve crowd.
I ordered hot & sour soup & chiken momos & both the dishes were just average & nothing as the hype goes. Wanted to try more things but because the device was so poor, had no choice left but to leave.
Overall an average experience..!!

For our last meal in Mussoorie we decided to visit kalsang and ordered mix meat rice, veg fried rice and veg manchurian gravy.

This is definately the best mix meat rice I ever had. It had generous amount of chicken and mutton and good amount of veggies. The veg manchurian was also good.

Located near to jhula ghar, one of the best place to have momos and tibetian food. Ambience was great with spacious sitting arrangement and good service and hospitality facilities.

The soup, chilli chicken, momos, noodles.. whatever one wants to have, one can have. The taste is good, ambience is good, location of the restaurant is accessible, good value for money. Just one thing, one has to wait for few minutes in the queue due to rush, which speaks good for the restaurant.

I loved the food. Authentic chinease recipes. Best part is their service. They delivered me to my hotel in chilled weather. If I ever come back to mussourie, one of the reason would be Kalsang.
