Review The Green Vegetarian - Mussoorie

Yoshita Ratnam
Tried Chinese here after a long long time. Their Noodles or Fried Rice and even Soups are to go for. As for others, I personally liked their dry items more than the gravy ones like Veg manchurian dry was awesome!!!! But the hotel staff is very cordial and ready to assist regarding any issues or requests. And the restaurant owners are available on the floor for additional help. The restaurant is to go for if your group or family is looking for good vegetarian options.

This hotel is located near the picture palace, I enjoyed the food, ambience and service as well. I am giving 4 stars out of 5. I ordered chilli garlic noodles and veg Manchurian with semi gravy, Manchurian could be more tasty than actual, hence reducing the 1 star. The staff was very good and humble. Card service is not acceptable here, only cash or UPI, hence reducing 1 star. The ambience was good for all. You can also enjoy the Chat outside the Hotel, of course if you want 😜

We got there at about 11:30 and ordered brunch: Chole bhature, Puri sabzi, Tandoori Aloo paratha, lassi. The food - unhealthy but delicious 😋. Not very spicy. This applies to all that we ordered Time- the food was served within 10min . 💯 Ambience- not too good. The word tacky comes to mind. Check out the pick. Bill: approx 500/- Staff: very courteous

A centrally locates vegetarian restaurant, as the name also suggests, this eatery offers some good food at prices that may not shock you in Mussoorie, which is in any case an expensive hill station especially during the so called ‘Season’. The service is quick during meal timings and the dishes well prepared. So, if you are looking forward to eating some “traditional” food, look no further. The waiters are polite though they are exceedingly desirous of large gratuity! Unfortunately the plates are not very clean. Why the 4 Stars then? Well, if you require a trip to the washroom, be prepared for dirty encounters of the detestable kind. The staircase leading into the basement is filthy and used as a storage. Worse is the actual toilet itself that was exceedingly filthy and smelly when I had to visit it once, during my few visits to this restaurants. If you wish to visit this place, remember that during meal time it can become very crowded and you might have to wait in queue.

While leaving from Mussoorie in the morning we were looking for a budget place to have our breakfast and landed in this restaurant. This restaurant has 2 floors seating available and we took table on the first floor. The ambience is decent and the place seemed quite spacious. As it is situated on the mall road, so you can enjoy the mall road view along with mountains view also. Due to it being morning hours the place was not that crowded and we had a good service experience there. We ordered some regular stuff : coffee, butter toast and poori with sabzi (aloo and kaddu/sitaphal). The food was served timely, was good in taste and the prices were also as per normal standard. It is a good budget restaurant and our morning meal experience was nice here, the breakfast we had was satisfying and worth giving a shot. It is surely a good option for vegetarian food in Mussoorie. Would rate it 3.5/5 for ratings.

If you want to have delicious vegetarian meal at a restaurant with great seating arrangement then "The Green Vegetarian" is definitely the right choice. Tried "Paneer Tikka Masala & Paneer Methi Malai" here and I have to tell you that you are gonna get addicted to the rich taste that they offer at a very competitive rate.

The restaurant is located right on the mall road from where the Camel back road starts. They serve typical North Indian fare including Chole bhature, puri subzi, kachori, samosa and stuffed paratha. Good place to have a typical North Indian breakfast or dinner

One of us didn't want oily food so we asked them to make Dal and sabzi without any grease. Not only do they pay attention to the instructions, they make an effort to make the food amazing as well.

The portion sizes are more than enough, the food isn't too greasy or spicy either.

For those with a tight budget, this place is the best in mall road for a good meal. You'll never leave disappointed.

#mallroad #mussoorie

They have only vegetarian items. Restaurants was big and beautifully decorated. They have ground and first floor. They have good service. Taste is normal, kadai paneer is good as compared to their other items.

Visited this restaurant on my recent visit to Mussoorie. Situated at mall road at an excellent location, this restaurant is always full of customers .
We ordered Dal Makhani ,Paneer Lababdar ,Alu Gobhi and Butter naan .
Dal Makhani was excellent to taste and so was the butter naan , Alu gobhi was also good but Paneer was average .
Quantity of food was enough for 4 people .
Service was super fast ,Overall a good place for vegetarian food .

This restaurant serves North Indian food and is located close to the Picture Palace end of Mall Road. Not much of an ambience but the food is excellent, the place is clean with comfortable seating, service reasonably quick and prices moderate. They have a wide selection of the usual North Indian and Chinese fare. Almost everyone seemed to be having Chole Bhature when I went so I ordered the same and wasn’t disappointed. I would recommend this place to families and generally anyone looking for standard, regular North Indian food.

It's been more than a decade since I have been going to this restraunt. The food is simply amazing. Have ordered almost all dishes over the years and I have realised that they make each and every cuisine with so much perfection that it will certainly make you visit them frequently. However their lauki ke kaufte is undoubtedly the best in this world.
While I was walking down the Mall Road with my family on a pleasant evening, it starting drizzling so as we were with kids we rapidly entered into this restaurant. It is a table cloth restaurant & is on two floors- ground & first. It also offers chat the counter of which is just besides the entrance. We sat on the first floor. The staff was quite friendly & the service was fast. It was fully occupied but still we received our each order on time they told while taking our order. We ordered Chinese in a North Indian restaurant as had heard about its spicy & Chinese food not being authentic - just the way I like it 😬 I would recommend it to anyone who shares the same flavour as mine to order the same - chilly paneer dry , manchurian with gravy , fried rice & chowmein . I loved & enjoyed my meal to the fullest . Not to forget the best thing, it was very cheap. The ambience of this place or the presentation of the food was not very pleasing to be true but the food was just perfect for me :)

Follow me on Instagram - @divyafoodaholic
