We had the maharaja room and it was awesome. Luxury bedding; great views; central to the city. The staff are friendly and the rooms are excellent value for the money. It is extremely close the best restaurant in the city - Green Heritage.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) - The location is excellent, and I was impressed with the room lighting, room space, and balcony setup, all deserving 5 stars. The corridor setup was also top-notch. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (4 stars) - The bed was a little old and shaky, but still comfortable enough to warrant 4 stars. AC is too noisy and old. 🌟🌟🌟 (3 stars) - Breakfast had a good spread, but the taste could have been better. The drinking water provided in the rooms could have been of higher quality (bottled water). 🌟🌟🌟 (3 stars) - The bathroom had a few issues, like low water pressure in the toilet faucet, an old blocked shower head, a short hand shower pipe, smelly towels, no face towels, no comb, no toothbrush, only one pair of slippers, and no shaving kit. It would be great if they could create a separate shower area. Overall, I took the time to provide this detailed review with the hope that the hotel can improve its amenities. I might consider visiting again if these aspects are addressed.

While I have been here for lunch with friends before, I got to stay a night this time around and enjoyed every bit of it. The place still holds its old school charm, a quiet, cool and green place in the heart of the city. They are quite strict about the check-in timings. In case you arrive early, you could have a nice lunch at the Tiger Trail like we did. The room, the dining areas and the pool were clean and reasonably maintained, however, the corridors on the ground floor could be cleaner, with odd smells wafting around at times. Overall, we had a nice stay and do recommend it for anyone preferring a quiet, relaxed stay.

We went here on the recommendation from a friend for a memorable couple’s getaway. The location is absolutely beautiful, serene, and picturesque, in a historic heritage building overlooking a manicured garden, famous fountains and dam. The food and service were impeccable. Classic South Indian cuisine alongside typical western palette options. The spotlessly clean swimming pool is below a canopy of lush palms, again, with very prompt poolside service from staff. We were very impressed by the pride the employees take in their work at every turn. Special thank you to Punith and Deekshita who provided us with personable, thoughtful, outstanding service through the weekend. We will certainly be back again!

The Royal Orchid Metropole has all the heritage property feels. The building gives all colonial era vibes with the decor etc in sync too. The room we got was on the ground floor in the wing towards the back. It had a weird smell. Looks like the room needed airing or maybe the cleaners used stale damp cloth to wipe and that left the foul smell. Whatever it was, it wasn’t pleasant. The bathrooms and rooms in general need to be renovated. I think most are really very old. The food was quite average and can definitely be improved. Something is lacking The service though is good. The staff is responsive and takes care of the guests well.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Metropole Mysore Hotel, and it was truly a remarkable experience. This heritage property exudes charm and elegance. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply outstanding. My time at Metropole was a memorable one, and I can't thank them enough for their hospitality. Highly recommended!

It is a 3.5 for me . The hotel is cozy with the option for outdoor breakfast and nice service . They are doing renovation so I hope it will improve, and the problems should be easy to fix . AC does not work properly and room was too hot, bathtub needs a good scrub , toilet sit is like a 1 star hotel . Bar was open late night but no bartender on duty .

Located right in the heart of the city, close to Palace and Zoo it is a great place to stay with family. The food is really good. The place is a real palace now converted to a hotel.

A lovely old hotel! The ambiance here is fantastic and the food is excellent. Be sure to book the heritage rooms. They are unique and I doubt anything else like this is to be found in mysore. The service is a little slow but the people are nice.

It was a workation trip for 3 nights along with my wife. At the time of check-in, the front office staff were gracious enough and they upgraded my accommodation to Heritage category room for all the 3 nights I had booked. Excellent room with a huge balcony and very spacious washroom. The food at the Tiger Trail restaurant was very good - the chef and his team obliged to our requests for Bengali style Fish Curry and Kolkata style Mutton Biryani. The tastes were awesome we loved them both. Especially the Biriyani - this was by far one of the best mutton biriyani we had down south. Worth a drive down to Mysore only for lunch at Tiger Trail for this biriyani again. The staff at the restaurant are all super efficient and take care of every small detail with a smile on their face. Must mention the housekeeping team is also super quick in responding for any request inside the room. However one area where I felt the hotel could have made my overall stay experience perfect. All the food bills carried 10% Service Charge - this is a discretionary charge which if the customer wants, the restaurant must reverse this extra charge. When I pointed this out at the time of check out, I was denied a reversal - and this was a cool approx Rs.1200 that I had to pay extra (as my total food bill ran upto Rs.12000+). It is important, these policies are implemented by chains like Orchid Hotels in a more diligent manner and not leave a dissatisfaction in the customer experience.
