Review Olive Garden - Mysuru (Mysore)

DHANUSH MAHENDRA
Le Olive Garden restaurant was really nice, beautiful and peaceful place in lush of greenery in Nazarbad near Golf club next to Chamundi hills. We went to this place to had our dinner. We had mutton matka biryani worth of Rs.595/- , butter chicken masala worth of Rs.475/- , chicken tikka original worth of Rs.360/- Trip to paradise beverage worth of Rs.275/-, choice canned juice worth of Rs.95/- butter naan chicken etc . The taste was amazing and worth to eat. The ambience was top class with outside sitting surrounded with pond water and duck floating around. Multi-cuisine restaurant with variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The staff were the first good impression we got. They were super helpful and attentive to us and they were very kind and efficient. The food quality also very tasty delicious and hygenic with good service. the dish which are must try's! The taste and service was exceptionally wonderful. Definitely would recommend to anyone who's visiting! Best place for family and friends.

Well what you go here is for the ambiance, it’s one of the best in Mysore. The food is good, could be better and the service is spectacular. A little slow but nothing to complain. Over all it’s a good place if you have lots of time on your hands and aren’t in a hurry.
Jöns Joelsson
Really good place to eat and spend time. Ate many meals at this place while staying at the Windflower Resort and the food was always great. During Christmas Roy and Rob were there and played too, really nice.

Really nice and peaceful place in lush greenery next to Chamundi hills. Went for dinner and ambience was top class with outside sitting surrounded with pond water and duck floating around. Multi-cuisine restaurant with variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to opt for. Service feels little slow with staff struggling around but you may ignore bcoz of great food quality served to customers.

This establishment offers a delightful atmosphere and high-quality cuisine. I would give it a 4.5/5 rating for both the food and the service. As a vegetarian, I found plenty of appealing options. Additionally, they offer a diverse selection of beverages, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. While I can't comment on the alcoholic beverages as I don't consume them, everything else about this place is praiseworthy. I encourage you to visit and experience it for yourself. I hope you'll enjoy your time there.

Beautiful place! Ambience is top! Food was delicious too and service was fast as well. Visited after so many years. But the overall experience is still the same as before. That is Good

Had a yummy experience dining here for 4 days 😊. Breakfast was indeed elaborate with a variety of items. Lunch and dinner also have ample options for everyone's needs . I liked their service and food especially the cheese cakes. Non vegetarian items are also tasty and they customised it according to your choice. Overall a wonderful experience dining here.

The restro is beautiful and admist lush greenery. Very calm n peaceful enviornment. It is located inside the Windflower resort. Had pina colada, veggie burger and heavenly paneer. Taste was ok. Heavenly paneer took more than 1 hour to arrive. Lost our appetite waiting. Service is too slow. Only beautiful ambience i would say. Food could really be better.

Went there last week. The ambiance was great, and the service was top notch. What stood out were the brilliant talents Glen and Robert with their musical performances. Amazing time, please support them!

I went to this place on a weekend. We went for lunch at around 2:30, they asked us to order fast as it was closing time, so check for the timings before you go. The ambience is beautiful, it was lightly drizzling and was beautiful. The food was good but not that great, veg Dum biryani was very bland, schezwan noodles was too oily. The mocktails are good. The service was good

Been here after 6 years since my last visit. The ambience and atmosphere is just as same as it was back then. Neatly maintained lawn and premises. Due to water setup around the main dining area, mosquitoes nuisance was there during our afternoon visit. Was here for a quick snack, ordered French Fries which was cooked to good crisp and a death by chocolate cake. There’s accessible ramps for moving about the restaurant premises. Parking for four wheelers are out front.

The atmosphere is amazing, the resort is beautiful and peaceful. The food could've been better. The management was great, the bell boys were helpful, kind when I had to use the washroom they walked me through.

Had been here only for breakfast. We ended up not eating anything as we had to go to Chamudi Hills. Had been here for 20 to 30 minutes, and I must say that the ambiance was awesome. Their restaurant looked so neat and tidy that we definitely want to visit this place when in mysore again. Rating this 5 star just for how it looked and the professionalism of the security and the staff and resturant.

We went there for lunch on a weekday so it was mostly empty.. Food is great. Service was below average, had to ask everything from plate to spoon for them to bring it especially for the amount you pay they should provide a top notch service. We tasted honey chilli potato, veg sizzlers, biryani, pina colada and ginger ala. The taste was lovely .

everything went well.. best option for a date night

Located in the Windflower resorts, Olive garden is one of the more posh places in Mysore. The ambience is chic ✔️✔️and modern with a artificial rivulets surrounding the seating area. Unfortunately ambience happens to be the only high point for the place.<br/>We ordered the chicken achari and Mutton pepper for starters. Mutton was rubbery and bland. The staple lemon soda was good. However the pizza was average. There was no authentic flavor in there. For main course, we ordered the chicken chettinad. The gravy was okay but no where close to the chettinad curry which one expects. 😒<br/>The price points are high for the portions they serve<br/>Service was fine, but the food was underwhelming

Had visited Olive Garden at the Windflower Mysore for lunch. I ordered only a couple of items, however they took over 45 mins to get started with these. The restaurant was rather empty and still the service seems to be slow. But the quality of the food is excellent and the pricing is fair. It would be an excellent choice for lunch if they could speed up the service.

A perfect spot for a romantic evening. Ambience is beautiful with dim light and candle light table. Food is decent and staff is friendly. #Ducks #Romantic_Spot #Candle_light #Mysuru_diary

The setup is beautiful, with greenery all around, a Victorian looking horse cart and a pond full of geese, you get beautiful vintage vibes from the dully lit restaurant. (A little too dull, making it a bit difficult to even read the menu in the evening)<br/><br/>The wait staff was quick and polite and passed around a couple of menu pages clipped to a notepad. We started with a round of roasted tomato and garlic soup. I always judge a restaurant's quality with it's tomato soup and this one was top notch!<br/><br/>We followed with a couple of family friendly (mediocre) appetizers like hara bhara kababs, chilli babycorn and sprouted salad. I had gulped down some water only to find a terrible smell in the glass.<br/><br/>For the mains, we'd ordered a mushroom risotto, penne Alfredo, vegetarian sizzler, lasagna, Thai green curry and schezwan rice. Things that tasted brilliant - Thai curry with a perfect balance, lasagna with just the right level of filling and portioning.<br/><br/>While the pasta and risotto tasted good, there was an off smell to the sauce and garlic bread, something that possibly comes when you mix butter and mozzarella and melt it together. It made the eating part a rather unpleasant and forceful business. But having finished all this we moved to the desert which was the star of the show. The almond cheesecake was nothing short of heavenly. With a lovely blend of vanilla, almonds and mascarpone, the base was in perfect proportion to the cheese layer and we couldn't get enough of it!<br/><br/>Verdict: Definitely going back for the geese and cheese(cake)!<br/>

Have been to this place a couple of times for lunch, it's a a lovley place to relax and spend the afternoon eating good food. The food was great and the service was somewhat slow but the place always attracts you for it's pleasant aura..

You order something and get something else. Please check and make sure you’ve got what you ordered before the delivery boy leaves the parcel and go. #Ignorant #Unprofessional

Went there for dinner..We were a group of five. Ambience was awesome.. Starters were yummy.. Achari chicken was delicious..We had spaghetti arabia and barbecue chicken.Spagetti Arrabbiata was really nice..

The service is extremely bad with really poor hygiene. There were more flies on the table than spoon and forks. What was even more annoying than the flies were the two turkies that were constantly running around the table. The food was average and the staff didnt even bother to inform about the last order. Overall it was a poor experience
Jino John
while coming from wayand we had lunch from here, ordered naan, veg pulav, butter chicken , paneer and couple of starters. Food taste was decent, service is not so great, ambiance of the restaurant is awesome.
Mueed Ahmed
The ambiance is excellent and is the main attraction of the restaurant, the food is good and surely better than most of the restaurants In town, the price is very high and is only suitable for a occasional treat, better food can be found at a much more reasonable price if good ambiance isn’t what your seeking, the quantity of the food is average but still quite less for the price in my opinion.
Prithvi Spandana
Poor customer service. Food tastes bad. Not recommended for next visit . Very expensive and not value for money. Need to ask for culinary everytime
Risha Bhavar
Lovely Ambience. But the food and the service is just okay. Would recommend for good Ambience 😅 Before the food was good, but lately it's changed.

Good And a Tasty Food with a Nice Ambiance. And please could you’ll upload Menu in Zomato , it would definitely be very helpful for me and others as well .
Ruthwik Ramakumar
It’s a nice place with a beautiful ambiance. But I wouldn’t recommend this place as such until and unless you wanna come back home hungry without being ripped off!<br/>The food is too bland for us Indian folks!<br/>Maybe you can just go here for the experience but it’s too boring and wouldn’t be visiting the place ever again as it’s not value for money!

Was looking for a place on zomato post visiting Mysore zoo, found this place but reviews weren't great, nonetheless we decided to try it out. And trust me we weren't disappointed. Service was excellent, manager Karthik ensured the khichdi for my kid was non-spicy and it was sweet of him to not charge us for the same. We ordered, Chicken Dum Biryani, Mutton Rara, Dal Tadka, Rice and Roti. The taste was great to say the least. Biryani was cooked perfectly, mutton gravy was good and the meat was perfect.<br/><br/>Then we ordered Black forest Cheesecake, Hazelnut Caramel and a white forest cake, again brilliant.<br/><br/>Well they also had chilled beer, unfortunately couldn't drink as I was driving. But until next time. I shall see you again Olive Garden.
Shivani
The food and service both were really good. The ambience will give you a positive feel with ducks all around in a small lake and properly maintained. It might be little bit high on the pocket but quantity was also good.
Smahi.0807
I make sure to visit this place once at least whenever I am in Mysore. I have always found one or the other section of service which needs improvement here, so 4 stars. But just for the ambience and courteous staff, I don't mind being here for a lazy noon lunch or elaborate evening dinner 🙂
Neha31294
Probably giving two star for the feel of the place. Over rated place. My review is just to let you know that their service is horrible.. we asked for tissues, the person just dumped on our table. We had to ask for spoon, ketchup everything. Please teach your staff some manners
Krupa Gowda
I had visited this restaurant many times but this time it disappointed me. The taste of the food was good but service is too slow. They took almost half and hour to bring the dishes and no one bothered to serve . The service was too bad. My 3 years old son was very hungry and started to cry to give the food fast. This time we had a very horrible experience.
Chandrasekar Thiagarajan
Used to be one of my favourite places earlier..service was too bad and they did not respond to any feedbacks or complaints on food..would not visit again..should try other restaurants in mysore

Planning to visit Olive Garden, then dont. I would run away from this place as far as possible.<br/><br/>We reached at 9pm and placed the order for starters and main course. I am writing this reveiw at 11pm and we are all hungry and all we had was a few starters. <br/><br/>The food was brought and kept behind us for 15 mins and no one bothered to serve. When finally they decided to serve the food was cold. They took it back and are planning to bringing reheated food.<br/><br/>The plates they had were smelling and had to be replaced.<br/><br/>This place is not being managed well !!! Looks like all the good stories we heard about this place were in the past!!!<br/><br/>Forget this place !!!<br/><br/>
Supreeth Potdar
Good, decent food. Though the service is good the delay in getting the food on the table is too much.<br/>Ambiance is good too.<br/>A good place to hang out with family and friends.
Pinky Gaikwad
One of the best dine in restaurants in Mysore. The ambience, food, service everything is great. Have been a regular in this place for 15+ years.

never miss to visit this place when in Mysore. It’s one of my favourite restaurant. last week was here in their resort for a weekend. Their service food ambience all good. To start with we had pasta with white and red sauce white sauce pasta tasted good but red one was little sweeter side and portion was also ok. we had monchow soup which was too yummy with lots of veggies in it. For the side we had baby corn toss pepper fry which also tasted good. With this we had ordered for fish rava fry which was cooked perfect. My son who is fond of sizzles ordered barbecue chicken sizzler which had vegetable in it and a portion of rice with barbecue chicken. Rice n veggies was good but barbecue chicken was not up to the mark. Finally the cake on the cheery was fried Ice cream which was a combination of honey and nuts. Over all a good place to visit with family n frnds

This is a great and beautiful restaurant in mysuru. Matka biriyani is a must try here. No complaints about the food and service. The only drawback is that not all the dishes on the menu are available always.
Raman Suprajarama
I've been to olive a couple of times. What surprises me is that the food is served late and cold, everytime. The waiters are not friendly either.
Namitha BM (food_ista__)
awesome place to buzz and spend time with friends.. food is amazing tasty spicy... serving is good... neat and hygiene... must try matka biriyani's...

This is one of the places which I have been constantly going since my childhood with my entire family ambience is fabulous I love their chocolate mousse and drums in heaven.. Price is quite high but a great spot for a family get together!

This is an absolutely beautiful place located at the foothills of Chamundi..The ambience is perfect for a date or just a pleasant noon or evening with family and friends.! The staff are really courteous and service was quick.! The food here is just as good as the ambience. There's a pond surrounding the dining area with ducks, there's greenery around and the breeze just adds to the beauty of this place.! It was raining when we were here for lunch and the weather was perfect.! We ordered Paneer tikka marinated with pesto for starters and it was a delight to taste buds.! Then for main course we ordered cheese naans and kadhai paneer. The cheese naans were legit stuffed with gooey cheese and were very filling.Kadhai paneer was rich and yummy too.!<br/>They also have a wide range of cocktails and mocktails to offer and the visit was worth it despite the pricing being slightly on the higher end.! Definitely visiting again.!<br/>Ambience-5/5<br/>Food-4.5/5<br/>Price-3.5/5

very nice ambience and good food. service can be speeded up. Briyani was excellent . also all chicken starters and main course . butter chicken yummy . deserts excellent
Sharath Jain
a very good ambiance and food for families. Food is very tasty.. Drinks are also available.. Ambience is the big attraction here.. water flowing below the floor and the ducks float.. All these are attractive..
Pranavesh Vg
Impressive ambience.. a place away from the hustle n bustle of the city. We were very hungry and had a lot of expectations after taking a walk around the place. But the food service put a frown on my face. No water served, no forks to eat the starters which was served very late. A few of us were so frustrated that we started eating by hand. The guy who took the order was rude and n took forever to attend our table. We had to repeatedly call them to even fill our water glasses. Won't be visiting this place again.
Anirudh Kampli
Very bad service at the bar section.. A resto bar of this standard should be doing better than this.. Very bad service and wrong delivery of food. Utterly disappointed
Ranjitha Prakash
The wineyard section here is very bad. Pathetic service ! They served non-veg food when we had ordered veg food!!! Mistakes do happen , but atleast there shd be a regret for what he did. But all they could give back was a smile.. really disappointed
MC Sathyavathi Singh
We went to the Olive garden for lunch. It is located In the Windflower Resort and as we were driving there the road was quite deserted. However, the restaurant was full. There is a pond around the dining area and there is a pond full of ducks too. We ordered the Chicken Satay, Spaghetti Bolognese, Thai green curry and a Virgin Mary mocktail. The mocktail was a bit too spicy, but the rest of the food tasted great.
Animesh
Very disappointed with the service we got here. I’d got good feed back about the place and when I came to the place the ambience did meet the expectations. After a pleasant introductory, we sat on the seat to order. Then started the horror ! No one to take order. After catching hold of someone and finally placing the order, we got the wrong food delivered ! And again after a hustle we get the right starter. Then we notice no fork ! Even after 3-4mins of waiting, we didn’t get forks ! Had to EAT STARTERS WITH MY HANDS !! disappointed...

Starting off . . .When you charge customers so high in a city like mysore . . The service be pretty darn good . . This place disappointed me to say the least. We entered and nobody was there at the front desk . . We had to ask some waiters and found the seat ourselves . . . No cutlery was provided until we specifically asked . . In fact starters were served without fork and spoon . . <br/><br/>I had to remind server each time to change plates, for cutlery, water, clearing table etc etc . . <br/><br/>And the bill took 15 minutes . . All the while I have been reminding them that we have an infant with us and have to leave as early as possible.<br/> <br/>Food <br/>Greek salad (average)- very greasy . .<br/>Nachos ( average) - very less quantity for the price <br/>Schezwan noodles ( good) - was made of indian chilles though <br/>Schezwan fried rice ( average) - tasted funny . <br/>Cheese cake (avearge) - have tasted much better one's <br/>Fruit salad with ice cream ( dismal) - local ice cream. . Which was more like ice than cream . . And cut fruits had started leaking because it was soaked in sugar . . <br/><br/>I am giving a 2 rating just because I can't be rude 😄😊<br/><br/>
Clopas Rodrigues
Food 4/5 Ambience 4.5/5 Service 3.5/5<br/>Beautifully located with ducks in the surroundings, this restaurant is a 'date-worthy' place. Good food too, slightly premium pricing. Worth the money with a staff who can indulge your requests.

Whenever I've come to mysore, it's always been a must to come down to Olive Garden. I must say the ambience is so beautiful and the entire concept of have a small kind of lake around and then the sitting is so beautiful, especially at night time. The food here is equally great. If you're a vegetarian you must try the Veg. Crispy Starters, Veg. Biryani. I personally love these . Kudos to the Staff who handle their crowd very well. And great service.
Nikhil
We do like this place and drop in for lunch whenever we’re in Mysore. Today’s service was atrocious. They kept forgetting our order. After the main course we waited for the desert and it never arrived. We told them to forget serving the desert and to give us the bill. That took another 30 minutes. Buck up !!!! This does not work in the long run.
Mathilda Mynttinen
Bad menu, slow service amd verry expencive. Whole place was empty and still we didn't first get service. The manu was poor for that italian food amd a lot of chicken. Place is pretty but food is not worth it
Jyotiprakash Sahu
Lovely ambiance, near the Golf course with lovely views of the hills. Beware of the fighting ducks, they could spoil your party. Loved the patiala peg concept.
Anjali
We visited this place on a trip to mysore. The ambience, location is just fabulous. Food is tasty and service very good. It's located inside a resort hence place is very quiet and spread out. Overall good place for a relaxing afternoon or evening.<br/>
Gowri
I visited here with my family..superb ambience and food was superb.with gud staff. As i visited during night..the lights were perfect blend with food
Sahana Murthy
One of the premium restaurant in mysore which has an amazing ambience, view and good food. I was in mysore for a wedding and my cousins planned to go for dinner and I suggested this place and I loved it.<br/><br/>Ambience here is to die for. If you visit during the day you get great view and can take lots of pictures of food and yourself :P Dinner experience is very calm and perfect place for a date because of the cozy ambience and the lighting. The ducks in the pond will add the charm.<br/><br/>We went on a monday so there was less crowd and it was a late dinner. We ordered cheesy pineapple, chilly paneer, fruit punch, virgin mary, vegetable dum biriyani, paneer tikka, butter kulcha & roti with vegetable curry, red velvet cheesecake, blackforest pastry and hot chocolate fudge.<br/><br/>Absolutely loved the cheese pineapple whoich was served on a bed of ice cubes and cucumber. It was served in toothpicks with a cube of cheese, pineapple and cherry. It became my new favourite cold starter. chilly paneer and paneer tikka was really good but not that spicy for my palate.<br/><br/>Fruit punch was good and tasty. Somehow did not like virgin mary. Kulcha and curry were a perfect combination. Dum biriyani was good and again less on spice but it had good flavour and a good combination with raitha.<br/><br/>Finally the desserts, cheese cake was so good that we all fought for the last piece. Blackforest pastry was as usual. Hot chocolate fudge was not upto the mark. We did not like it much. <br/><br/>Service here is prompt and no delay in any item and our steward had a lot of patience because we couldn't decide one dish without arguement. So kudos to that.<br/><br/>PS- This is my favourite place in mysore :)
KISS MY SPATULA |Shreya Sahni|
Favourite resort! Just loved the stay and fooood is super duper tempting, capable of give you FOODGASM!!! 😍<br/>I strongly recommend a stay here.
La Fille Qui Mange
Great food<br/>Great ambience<br/>Great service<br/>Loved the place, the music as well as the food. Good quantity of food given and the price is worth the overall experience.
Subhajit Sarkar
Great place to hangout with friends. We had lunch here, the foods were good and tasty. They had some ostrich like birds in the garden. True to it's name the the dinning areas are in small hut type shades, and in the middle there is a garden.
Dheergha Lakshmi
Awfully slow service !!! We waited for 45mins jus to get our beverages. The ambiance is pretty good but filled with mosquitoes and they spray the pesticide when the customers are around. I wudnt say I had a good experience.
Ashish
The place has perfect setting and everything going for it sans the service... Lot of lax and goofups... Would have love to give one more but service
Santhosh Babu
Looks like Service staff don't understand meaning of Service. If you are unable provided you free to refuse service. Disappointing experience
Roadmatters Videos
The ambience at Olive Garden is great. <br/>But what the wonderful ambience provides, the service and mosquitoes take away. <br/>One of the lousiest service I've witnessed.
Sapna(Nandini)
Loved the food served here.. but of course, waiting part is tideous as it took almost 25 to 30 minutes for our food to arrive. We tried matkabiryani, murgh banjara and few veg starters.. tasted delicious..!! Ambiance is beautiful..
Deepak Kallannavar
The cravings I'd for pasta (since a month or more) was satisfied at Olive Garden! Amazing food, ambience and a bunch friendly staff, which is rarely found. Proper amount of spices added to each individual dish which was individually recognizable. Quantity was not sufficient as per the rates but that was ignored while having mouthwatering and spoonful of dessert. Overall a place that needs to be visited over and over again.😁
Kishor
The only resort nearer to the city. Very ambient place with a green environment which makes you feel that you are in a garden. <br/>Food is excellent cuisine choice is from Indian to International. Some of the dishes may taste pale in order to suit foreign nationals. Lot of additional taxes on the bill though which makes the place expensive. But a visit is worth it.
Mohit Kalra
Food - Good 👍<br/>Ambience - Very Good 👍👍<br/>Music - Just perfect 👌<br/>Special shout out to Madan Kumar and team for the good service. <br/>I ordered a Penne Alfredo for lunch, and I must say, it was quite tasty. I would definitely go there again.
Nithya
I have been dining in olive garden from the time it opened.. But sharing both my experiences at olive garden after my recent two visits. <br/>First visit on (21/01/2017) ordered Chicken strognoff and it was a delight to eat it. Totally lip smacking.<br/>Second visit on (11/02/2017) ordered Chicken strognoff but it was a absolute disaster. No garlic bread, the sauce so bland, Chicken over cooked, vegetable not sauteed at all. Worst was the arrogant chef who claimed that it's perfectly made!
Prateek Kumar
A good place to come once in a while.  The ambiance is excellent, with ducks swimming around the area. The Chicken Tikka and the Pepper Fish are superb. <br/><br/>The staff is not very attentive and they usually do not have all the drinks on the bar menu. But probably Mysore's finest restaurant.
Tenzin Tsomo
I love this place. I been with my husband and we found it very calm and relaxation place. Service is slow but as long as you are with someone special, you don't bother d time. Staffs are okay. I love ambiance and it's like open air. Overall good times. <br/><br/>Foods- 4* ( North Indian food)<br/>Drinks- 4*<br/>Ambiance- 4*<br/>Service- 3*

One of the most romantic places I have eaten in Mysore. The place is situated at the bottom of Chamundi Hills. Perfect place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Food is nice but service is somewhat slow but tolerable.
Deepak H
Nice place on the foothills of Chamundi hills. The food is nice and the ambiance makes it for the wait time. The serving portions are good for 2 people.
Ishan Das
On the foothills of Chamundi this is a calm and serene resort. Wind flower is one of the known resorts here. Villas with green backdrop and man made lake. Laid back atmosphere and a bonhammie in the air will definitely make you sit, gaze and do nothing. Olive garden is set up towards the entry of the resort. Capacious, well ventilated serving Indian, Chinese and continental cuisines. Settled in for chicken tikka, kulcha and palak chicken. Care is taken to make you comfortable. Food preparation has a finesse to it and comes with a price. Overall experience will be worthwhile with courteous staff at there best. Bored or ate too much!? Walk around the resort and snap some photos.<br/><br/>A complimentary donut ice cream desert made our meal complete.<br/><br/>
Sonel Thapak
I don't think I'll ever get tired of this place.<br/>Ambience is 10/10. Food and services are great.<br/>Good place to have a date in candle light and ducks around you. Some dishes are overpriced but worth paying for it.<br/>Drinks are top notch !
Rakshith
Nice Place to hang out. Service is a too slow. Makes it up with ambience. But it is a great place if u don't have time constrains. .
Chinmay Sahoo
The ambience of this place is very elegant, and you would be hard pressed to find a place in Mysore that beats it. Full of greenery and a nice fountain/ brook around the restaurant. <br/>Food is very good, having been here twice, have tried Indian and Italian cuisine. Again, hats off to the management and the service staff for great service.
Pavan ED
One of the Best place in Mysore ,Ambience is full of greenery and looks very serene ,<br/>Coming to Food &Dishes they have been unbeatable in terms of taste ,ingredients and various cuisines and varieties served !<br/><br/>"Food is yummy and tasty " Spice lovers!
Jayoti Pal
We just had food there tonight. And it was horrible experience. Went with family to have fun, turned out to be disappointing and worthless. Total mood off.<br/>Service was very bad. They didn't serve us plates for starters. Didn't give us napkins also. Then even after asking repeatedly for water they didnt provide. Not clearing plates properly. No serving nothing. No saunf or mouth fresheners in the end.<br/>Felt like they weren't interested to serve us probably because we weren't staying there.<br/>Thought of scolding the manager. But didnt want to spoil my mood further. <br/>I am never going there, nor to any other windflower resorts after this kinda experience.
Aadish Kadam
The place is beautiful at night.candle lit dinner with good service.they have a good wine collection and it's located in a rather isolated part of the city behind the golf course so it's tranquil.sadly the day we visited the place,it only had the oriental cuisine.i would like to visit again and have the option of ordering from the entire menu.good food and a good time
Jay Rambhia
We found this place on Zomato and hadn't seen any pics. We were quite surprised by the restaurant. The lighting, soft music, pond with ducks, and the whole ambience was great. We ordered a starters platter which was really good. Paneer Papdi Chat was something new and it was amazing. We also tried lasagna which was sweet and not that great. Main course was good but nothing extra ordinary. <br/><br/>I would definitely go back if I'm in Mysore again.
Nancy Bencil
Simply loved it here!! One of THE best places in Mysore be it for family outing or date night. Food , ambience and staff are the best I have seen in Mysore. Outdoor seating is just brilliant. Staff are very courteous and service is very good. The food is also very tasty and the portion is good for 2people. Drums of heaven are as good as the name. A must visit place for anybody living in Mysore.

Service-5<br/>Taste-5<br/>Menu-5<br/>Ambience-4<br/>And the main thing I liked was lasagne nd it was the third best I ever had.
Gunjan Sarkar
This place is easily the most physique of all the place I have been especially in the night no doubt about that the low gaiety lights in the trees the water trickling down around the eating place perfect of fate nights!!! And the food and service amazing and quite affordable too.....
Karandeep
What a wonderful place and service.<br/>The food was nice, the service was top notch and so was the feel of the place.<br/><br/>We ordered <br/>Cheese Papad<br/>This was new to me and boy it was good! Papad rolled and filled with cheese and I guess a few vegetables. This was wonderful<br/><br/>Alfredo Chicken Pasta<br/>I generally do not eat a lot of Pasta but this was good and I ate it without any complaints. Not my type of food.<br/>But a good thing to order.<br/><br/>Paneer Biryani<br/>Wow, I didn't expect them to do a remotely decent job with this one. But the Biryani was good and not only that the portion size too was large enough. The taste of the biryani was on the spicier side but not too much.<br/><br/>This places makes you feel good and not that their food is outstanding or worth remembering but they have done everything right that one can't just complain.<br/><br/>Good Job!<br/>

How beautiful is this place? Away from the hustle bustle and chaos, it's a place you should definitely visit if you are in Mysore. I am from Bangalore but I have been here three times. I love this place.<br/>Great all around and deserves at 5/5.<br/>Don't miss the ducks and swans when you are there.

This place is located in a resort a bit away from the buzz of the city. In that aspect, you could have a great dinner if you love it quiet. The dishes are good too :) But what stands apart is that you could enjoy your dinner seated in an outdoor facility or indoor. You could also select seats right next to an artificial stream, or even if the open garden. It's a one time try, in my opinion :)

Nice place to visit for dinner. Situated in a very green resort. Restaurant is surrounded by water with ducks. Food is tasty. Dal makhni was good. Panner tikka was nice.

Stayed at the resort recently, had a chance to eat at this place - I would say good place overall. Ambiance was good, food tasted good. Only thing that needs improvement is service aspect, the waiters looked confused and it took lot of time for the food to arrive. We ordered vegetarian course, from a taste stand point, it was good.

Olive Garden has perhaps the best ambience amongst all the restaurants in mysore. The restaurant itself is located inside a stunning resort. The water bodies surrounding the gazebo style dining area even have ducks in them.<br/>Unfortunately thats where the positives end, the beautiful ambience was not complimented by good service or good food.<br/>The food tasted pretty average and the service could be termed as confused at best. <br/>When we were placing the order, the waiter was not sure about the availability of the drinks we asked for and he was not even able to recommend their best dishes. Also we asked for the starters to be served well before the mains but they arrived at the table together. <br/>In starters we had the tandoori non veg platter. The kababs were decent but the tandoori chicken pieces were very dry.<br/>In mains we ordered Chicken Mexican and Lemon Chicken along with a portion of noodles and fried rice each.<br/>The dishes tasted average at best.<br/>Overall i felt that such a stunning ambience needs to be complimented with efficient service and better food.<br/>ps: Extra marks for the ambience

Excellent ambience matched by great food and friendly service; We tried the tandoori phal tokri, veg fried rice, and sliced cottage cheese with peppers. The phal tokri in particular was a revelation - marinated pineapple, papaya, and guavas cooked in a tandoor with onions and capsicum! It was a great start to our meal and the undisputed star. On the other end of the spectrum, the kulfi was a bitter disappointment - branded kulfi served with its stick intact!! This had no business being served on a diner's plate. That and the fact that our meal was brought all at once compel me to mark this down. Still, it's a great option for a relaxed meal with friends and loved ones.

Now I know mysore doesn't have too many places to go out to for a scrumptious dinner and all. This establishment has been addressing that issue for quite some time in the city. This upmarket restaurant doubles up as a resort as it's owned by windflower folks. The food served here is mainly indian or indo chinese with staples of manchurians, chilli varieties donning the finger food sections. The menu is exhaustive but could do with a revamp since most of the dishes are the Staple affair found anywhere else in the city. Flavour profile is average with nothing really standing out or outstanding. Imfl and few high end alcohols are served. The ambiance aims to create a relaxed space with one of the seating areas surrounded by a runway of water gently flowing. The restaurant could maybe accomodate some kind of ventilation system since it does heat up inspite of being an open air seating. The furniture is darkwood which is daintily dressed up for dinner time. There's some classics from the 70s and 80s pop culture played to help you get by. The service could be slightly faster as most of the items served here take a good 25 minutes to get to your table. The bill speaks of the amount charged at a 3 star hotel. Well, mysore is a nascent market for food and this restaurant can definitely amp it up to the next level.

Lovely ambience, romantic setting, live music, and some really delicious food. That's the place in a nutshell.<br/><br/>If you want more details - the restaurant is set amidst water and has dim lighting which makes or very romantic, there was live music, the staff are very courteous and attentive.<br/><br/>Coming to the food- we weren't very hungry so we tried just the basics- masala papad & finger chips (crispy fresh) penne Neapolitan pasta (lovely sauce, very flavorful) and for dessert we had the cassata which was just okay. <br/><br/>The bar menu - tried cosmopolitan & Margarita. They were okay, the Cosmo wasn't very cold and that made it taste slightly funny<br/><br/>The only downside is if you aren't living anywhere around (or if you are visitors like we were and not stating at windflower), this place is hard to find and quite far off.<br/><br/>All said and done definitely with a visit.

A good place with a nice ambience... The waiters are a little slow in taking the order... They do the tablet thing to show they are hi tech... But the food and the ambience makes up for it... The continental as well as Indian is good.. The lasagna was really nice as well as the daal tadka... So a well balanced food taste and place to be...!! :)

Place & ambience 10/10<br/>Service 7/10 too many waiters serving the same table. We had to repeat the orders, request for bill and also feedback :)<br/>Food 7/10<br/>Sweet corn soup and pepper paneer hit he spot. The spaghetti Alfredo was super bland and devoid of cheese and veggies.<br/><br/>Desi dishes seem to be a good option here.

I have visited lot of resorts across the country.. I had high expectations from windflower too.. Was good. However. Their restaurant Olive Garden didn't please me much. They still need to improve in the food to be on par with lot many other competitors. <br/>Well, we had been here on a weekday.. Ambience is perfect and peaceful.. We didn't feel glasses were clean enough. Also, the menu as got were worn out. We had to actually join the pages n decide on. We ordered masala papad, lemon soda, a couple of lasagne preparations, cheese corn nuggets, lemon coriander soup.<br/>Lennon soda was too gud, masala papad was good as well. Lemon coriander soup was not thick.. It was watery but tasted good. Corn cheese nuggets were made well but the cheese turned out to b sour, ditto with the lasagna preparations. Not happy with that. <br/>Service is okay...<br/>Can be visited once if you are around ittige gudu area.

Here for an outbound - good lunch (crispy papad, egg curry semi gravy was nice, chicken can be better, bengal fish with potato). One thing i liked is use of hot plate for curries which ensured that food is hot. Looking forward to dinner and drinks. Nice ambience in resort. Pineapple chutney (tangy & sweet) served in bfast was yum.

Ambience: Thumbs up<br/>Food: Penne Alfredo Disappointed me. Stuffed paratha was good, Dal makhani was good, Paneer was good. Banjara Kabab & Spring roll : okayish. Desserts are excellent.<br/>Service: Excellent, courteous staff.<br/>Overall, if you don't mind the taste & only care about the ambience, then olive garden is perfect for you.<br/>

Food: 4.5/5<br/>Ambiance: 4/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/><br/>The resort is a beautiful property that nests this wonderful restaurant in it. The Olive garden just makes you want to enjoy your meal even more, surrounded by nature. <br/><br/>The paneer chilly as a starter made my day. The taste was near perfect and the portion satisfying. <br/>The veg burger too was prepared with heart. The pattice inside the bun was crisp, enveloped with mayo. They provided a small portion of mayo dip on the side to go with fries. Yummmmm...<br/>The Spaghetti Alfredo too was worth the wait. Smooth & good chunks of spaghetti laced with cheese. <br/>Avoid the Bananacolada.<br/><br/>

Whenever i am in Mysore, the only place i plan to dine just any day is this. Continental at its very best. Cozy, warm and enlightens my palate, though i miss few things from the menu like the lamb steak which was my all time favourite. Always happy to be here ..

I am no stranger to the good food, good music, and very ambient atmosphere at Olive Garden Mysore. Very recently went back to the place and was hit with good fond memories of when I used to frequent the place as a kid.<br/>A lot might have changed, but I think Olive Garden is still one of the finest among Mysore's restaurants!

During our time in Mysore over the Dasara weekend, the Olive Garden was the most recommended restaurant to us, by not just one or two friends of friends, but even by many of the acquaintances we made on our trip. <br/><br/>We finally decided to visit here on the day of the Grand Finale of Dasara, when we had ample time between the morning and evening proceedings. It is situated in what seems like a military area of sorts, with lots of greenery & forestry around and with the City Armed Reserve and the Police Horse Park (as also the Race Course) being neighbours to the restaurant. <br/><br/>This place is laid out like a Japanese garden with some greenery, flowing water, a small wooden "bridge" and a Gazebo-style restaurant, adjoining a resort-like facility. Surprisingly, there were no fans in this Gazebo restaurant, despite the afternoon weather being unusually punishing, for this time of the year. It felt quite ironically stuffy, despite it being an open place. <br/><br/>We ordered a Chicken Chatpata (Chicken Cubes in a Tangy, Spicy preparation) for starters and a Waldorf Salad (Apple cubes, walnut garnish with cream & mayo). Unfortunately, the salad, which was to be a quick filler until the Chicken arrived, took its own sweet time to arrive. And it turned out to be an insipid choice, considering the lack of freshness in terms of greens. Just the sweetness of apple and the buttery taste of walnuts, with cream & mayo do not make for a good combination.<br/><br/>The Chicken Chatpata was quite a decent dish. It could've been a nice tangy & spicy dish, if not for its inconsistent spice levels. Some of the pieces were far more spicier than the rest and unfortunately, the one friend whose palate cannot handle much spice, received those pieces. Talk about Murphy's Law !!<br/><br/>We then ordered a Murgh Matka Biriyani and the Day's Special, Bannur Mutton Pulao. The Biriyani was fancifully brought in a Matka, which increased our expectations from it. Alas, greater the expectations, greater the fall. It was one of the poorest biriyanis we've come across, with the masala being unevenly spiced & pungent & not really flavourful, with the meat being slightly tough as well.<br/><br/>The only saving grace was the Bannur Mutton Pulao. So this dish is actually a Pulao made with Bannur Mutton rather than it being a "Bannur Mutton Pulao", like say a Hyderabadi or Lucknowi Biriyani, where the region denotes the style of preparation. Bannur Sheep is quite a famous breed, from the region along River Cauvery & is known for its tender meat. It was a simple dish that looked like Jeera Rice, but was nothing like it. The Masala was as subtle as it could get, yet it imparted lovely flavour (but no colour, unlike the overtly vermillion colour of the Chicken Biriyani) to the meat and the long grained rice. We polished this off in no time, especially considering the epic failure of the biriyani. <br/><br/>For Dessert, we ordered a Fried Ice Cream, a Fig & Honey Ice cream and an Apple Pie, all of which were disappointments. <br/><br/>- The Fried part of the Ice Cream was weirdly fried and tasted weird as well. <br/>- The Fig & Honey Ice cream seemed a little stale. <br/>- The Apple Pie was not warm and was much thicker than a really thick slice of Pizza with a stuffed crust. Although the flavours were there, its size and its insanely high number of fillings made it difficult to enjoy eating. <br/><br/>Service - Extremely slow and inattentive, despite being in their line of sight.<br/><br/>VFM - The above order was about Rs.1500, which seems quite decent for the place and quantity. But not for the taste.<br/><br/>Verdict - May try. Somehow, almost everyone in Mysore seems to be raving about it.

Excellent food and ambience. Perfect place for a relaxed dinner. If you just want to grab a quick bite, I wouldn't recommend this place as the service is slow. Brownie points for the hospitality and friendly attitude of the servers. Their tandoori grilled paneer slices starter (I don't quite remember the exact name) deserves a special mention.

Shabby experience. Overpriced food. Enormous delay. Absolutely shitty lunch. <br/>Please make sure that you keep on following up with your orders or else the waiter might forget !
