Review Dasprakash Restaurant - Mysuru (Mysore)

Availed dinner on 31st Dec at their legacy restaurant. Excellent delicious food, great taste and reasonable price for the size of the hotel (not commenting about rooms/stay since didn't avail it) and location. The rest rooms show the ageing hotel needs better maintenance. Ample amount of parking space available. The wait time is understandable provided one reads their menu disclaimer (to wait for 30min since ordering).

The food tastes great. The dining ambience is peaceful. The dining room has great ventilation and feels great to get a window seat while eating. But this is only about the food. This was one of the best places in mysore a decade ago. However, Today it needs maintenance. The restrooms need regular cleaning.

The Vishala restaurant inside the hotel Dasaprakash serves very homely yet tasty food. The ghee roast dosa was paper thin and had real ghee added. The Manchurian was also very good. Even though very less people were there in the restaurant the food was served very quick without compromising the taste. Highly recommended to visit and try their food.

Comfort food for the South Indian palate. I loved the tomato uttappam. The coconut rice was as always delectable with crunchy dals and cashew halves. It's a spacious dining hall where one feels totally comfortable.

Large spacious traditional Udupi Vegetarian Hotel standing tall majestically on hill top in Yadavagiri 👏 If you love vegetarian food you must be here to enjoy varieties of Thalia, dosas, chole bhatura, phulka, vada & assorted mini tiffin yummy 😋 Dining is so vast you never feel crowded like in most eateries ☝️ Dasaprakash have been in this business since last century & hence their authenticity in Kannada cuisine & hospitality is displayed proudly all around.Quiet place ,delicious food and careful serving with a smile ;make this hotel a stand-alone place amidst a drab of ordinary run of the mill hotels in Mysore👏

A Mixed Experience at a Vintage Lodge. I recently stayed at a lodge that has stood the test of time for over 40 years. Our three-night stay took place in May, and while the lodge had its charms, it was apparent that maintenance was lacking due to a shortage of staff. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Upon arrival, I was greeted by a spacious lobby that exuded a vintage charm. The presence of numerous plants added a refreshing touch, creating a welcoming ambiance. The lodge also boasted a commendable parking area, which was a relief for those traveling by car. However, the upkeep of the hotel left much to be desired. The most glaring issue was with the elevator, as it never went directly to the second floor. Instead, it made an inexplicable detour to the fourth floor before finally reaching the second floor. This inconvenience added an unnecessary hassle to our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast. The dining experience was delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend trying their food at least once during your visit. The breakfast spread was satisfying, leaving a positive impression on our palates. One aspect that stood out about the lodge was its location. Situated in a residential area, it provided a serene and tranquil environment, which was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. This feature made it particularly appealing for those seeking a peaceful getaway. Another notable feature was the provision of separate rooms for smoking. This consideration for both smokers and non-smokers alike was appreciated, as it allowed everyone to enjoy their stay without discomfort. Unfortunately, the lodge fell short in terms of maintenance. The taps in the rooms required attention, as they seemed to be in need of repairs. Additionally, the curtains appeared worn and could benefit from some rejuvenation. Overall, my stay at the lodge had its ups and downs. The vintage charm, spacious lobby, and ample parking space were definite positives. However, the lack of maintenance due to staffing issues was a noticeable drawback. The quirky elevator, although amusing at first, soon became an inconvenience. Nonetheless, the lodge redeemed itself through its exceptional breakfast and the peaceful surroundings it offered. With some improvements in maintenance and attention to details like taps and curtains, this lodge has the potential to provide a more enjoyable experience for its guests. In conclusion, if you are in search of a quiet retreat in a residential area and can overlook some maintenance issues, the lodge might be worth considering. However, those with high expectations for upkeep and convenience may want to explore alternative options.

This is an iconic temple that never realizes the full potential of its excellent location and surroundings. I would blame lackluster and unimaginative management of the Dasaprakash Group. Employees are very committed but however don’t have the support they need to excel in the job they do. Sad story.

This is very famous hotel in Mysore, managed by Dasprakash groups of Hotels. Very well maintained. Wonderful location.

This hotel is situated in a calm and cool neighborhood. Ramakrishna mission, Akashvani Mysore and RK Narayan's house, CFTRI and Vivekananda park- all are within walking distance. Views from the room are excellent. You may enjoy the Mysore city line and the adjoining hills right from your room. Plenty of parking and children activity areas are in the campus.

Part of the Dasaprakash group, the hotel retains the old warm charm. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Located in a nice scenic neighbourhood on the Vivekananda road, it serves great vegetarian thali and other south Indian items. Their medu vadas and Mysore Masala dosa is also good.

Great food but dead place with waiters who almost behave that they are on their grave! Masala dosas to die for and the coffee is good too - don’t venture into eating their North Indian fare - how I wish there could be more attention to such a big brand and legacy of great food

We stayed here for a night while visiting Mysuru on the way to Chikmagalur. The food in the restaurant is good. Dinner was very inexpensive whereas our breakfast was surprisingly costly. One tea cost 45 bucks! Good part again was that they accepted Foodcard!! :)
We loved the taste of all the starters, main course & dosas ordered!

The food was very good and affordable. Overall asthetic was also good. Staff was cooperative. Food variety was good. And the taste is similar to their other branches in agra.

Best place for breakfast in Mysore. As opposed to the traditional place like Mylari - where they use pancake batter for dosa - and GTR, this is a very comfortable place to go and the food is excellent. Everything we had was good - masala dosa, idly, wada, onion rava masala...

The only problem with the place is that the hotel is now showing signs of ageing and needs a bit of renovation.
