Review Venkatesh Bhavan - Mysuru (Mysore)

Swapnil Javkhedkar
Went for a typical south indian meal, thus went for the thali and it was excellent. Also tried the filter coffee, madhur vada and bisibele bath and hence can certainly say that this place is definitely pocket friendly.

One of the best breakfast point in Mysore, and the oldest too since 1944. Descent pure veg hotel. The taste here is good and value for money. Service is good, well maintained. Bisi bele bath is best here, also we tasted idly, dosa too and ended with coffee. They accept UPI payment.

Located very near to Railway station. Variety of vegetation dishes available. We tried Idly vada sambar which tastes good but not that much great. Tea and coffee at just 10 rupees is awesome.

Food taste was nice..: service was quick.. opposite side of the road you will find car parking space… Poori kurma can be made better. Sambar vada, masala dosa and idly were nice.

A local auto driver suggested me this place and did I like it? I absolutely loved the taste, you get soo much at such a reasonable price, went there 4 times in 24hrs Service is superfast Recommended - bisibele bath, pineapple sheera, coffee, idli and wada sambhar, rava dosa In general every item on the menu is worth spending money ❤️💯

An outstanding vegetarian hotel in mysuru city 🔥. The taste and quality of the food were great and up to the mark. The price of the food is cheap and affordable. Finding parking can sometimes be difficult as you have to park on the main road. The hotel interior was clean and well-maintained. The service provided was fast and excellent. The place may be crowded during peak hours and finding a place may be difficult.

One of the popular hotels on Sayyaji Rao road, Venkatesh Bhavan has been here for over seven decades. I liked the dosaes and fried savouries like pakodas. However, I was disappointed with their Gibi Manchuri which is all about dough and bits and pieces of cabbage rather than cauliflower. I didn't like this particular experience as I had gone there to try the same dish, expecting it to be of good quality.

I'm a hardcore non-vegetarian and love having spicy zaykedar khana but its me giving 5⭐'s to a Vegetarian restaurant means lot. The restaurant is really awesome with superior quality food that fills your tummy and also has reasonable price rather less expensive. The food is just so good with less spice and oil . Taste so good. The staffs are old but so benevolent with attending customers. Am so satisfied with this restaurant. Old BUT Gold

Excellent service. They make food in request unlinke some places they just say they ran out of it this item is not available during this hour etc. Pretty decent standard veg darshini kinda of restaurant. Good for a meal.

Though I strictly didn't like the ambience and my rava idli was terrible, the food seemed to have been hygienic enough to be tolerated well by our tummies! It's very cheap also. And pure vegetarian. Not to forget, the Mangalore bajjis were made well. Also a note on hospitality. They help you find a seat for yourself. And they didn't have paper napkins but when i asked for one he went out and got something that i could use! And they have bottled water. 4 for this.

A good place which serves tasty South Indian food and it's budget friendly. Masala dosa, bonda soup and filter coffee are best here. But the plates and cups could have been cleaner. 😶
A family restaurant with quality food . A real tourist hotspot . Though the service takes some time the food is definitely worth the wait. The decor consists of iconic secenes of mysore . With a private section for families. If your ever in mysore this place is a must try.

Traditional south indian at the best in this budgeted hotel. I love to visit again to teast the pineapple Kesari bath, onion dosa and Puri palya. Even service is more than my expectation.

Finger licking taste.... Cannot stop relishing the Sooji halwa (also known as kesari bath). Yummy poori and Idlis'. Sambar is typical madraasi.... Walk in and walk out with a smile in your face.

Hotel dates to very old calendar... Watch for the old photo of old Venkatesh bhavan .

Uppma, dosa , kesari bath , and coffee must have in this palce .
It's still maintain the same quality only thing his they started to use vanspathi in place of ghee now . so it not great for health concern crowd. But as its a very old restro...you will always love to go . enjoy the food and keep your health quotes away ;)
