Review Kapoor's Cafe - Mysuru (Mysore)

Gautam Sameer
Fantastic Punjabi restaurant in Mysore. The environment is great. You get to sit on a charpai if you wish. Parathas are prepared using whole wheat. Their lassi is amazing, yummy. Methi Khasta and Onion Khasta paratha were really great and damn good. They served masala buttermilk, which was nicely spiced. Paneer Do Pyaza was just amazing. Paan was made fresh and good too. Good to be there with family and friends.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kapoor's Cafe in Mysuru! From start to finish, it was a delightful culinary journey. First and foremost, the ambiance was charming and cozy, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The cafe's decor exudes warmth and character, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food, without a doubt, stole the show. Each dish we ordered was a masterpiece of flavors. The menu offered a tantalizing array of options, from traditional Indian dishes to innovative fusion creations. I couldn't get enough of the rich and aromatic curries, and the freshly baked bread was heavenly. But what truly set Kapoor's Cafe apart was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to accommodate our preferences. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made us feel like valued guests throughout our visit. In addition to the food and service, the cafe also offered a great selection of beverages, including expertly crafted coffees and teas. It was the perfect way to conclude a memorable dining experience. I can't recommend Kapoor's Cafe highly enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Mysuru, this cafe is a must-visit. It's an oasis of culinary excellence and hospitality that I can't wait to return to.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and amazing food! A slice of Punjab in Mysore! Had the cheese pataka balls, masala papad, mix parantha, and chole kulcha combo - everything tasted great!

This is my usual crash in place if I'm traveling with friends. Located on the second floor of the building the ambience is very raw and follows the Kapoor's cafe signature. They have both thread cot seating and table seating options. Usually there will be a wait time of 15 mins during peak hours of weekends. But staff will help you to find a seat quickly if you request them. The quality of food is good if you are a fat lower. The amount of butter they put on every dish is definitely not for calorie conscious minds. But if you love butter, malai and all other dairy fats like me, then this place is definitely for you. We preferred Desi fries along with varieties of Parathas. All the dishes were really good. Among them I really loved Gobhi Paratha. We ended our lunch session with a glass of lassi which was delicious. Service is straight forward. I don't recall any special treatment or outstanding hospitality. However, there are no complaints either. There is no dedicated parking available. But you can find parking on street with in 500m radius. They accept all kind of digital payments including cards & QR Code payments. Cleanliness of toilet & wash area were average. Over all, our experience was nice and definitely recommended for all the fatty food lovers out there. -BeingBakasura

We ordered the following 1. five different parathas - each paratha is around 22 cm in diameter. If you can finish it alone go for it. Else don't order. Punjabi crispy corn- it's okay. Tastes like a normal crispy corn served with cheese toppings. Sweet lassi - good to have during summer. Dry fruits lassi - dry fruits are not roasted. Don't go for dryfruit lassi . You can try normal lassi which has more value for money . Buttermilk - Tastes okay. It has more chat masala. They have a good western toilet . We got additional pickles lls on request. No ventilation. They have dhaba style khatiya, normal table & chairs . They are selling magai pan in the entrance of restaurant ( which is in 3rd floor) They do have lift for the restaurant. One the whole i would say - we can try once.

Ambience is good. The staff are friendly and will genuinely suggest what is good. Lassi is a must try. The washroom and hand wash area was stinking pretty bad and the hence table close to the door was stinking too. The hygiene can be maintained better.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering good recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy, pleasant and resembles dhaba setup. The dishes were delicious. I recommend you to try the kadai paneer thali, sweet lassi and buttermilk. Everything was spot on, but the rotis were very dry. Please note, any thali is recommended for 2, it is very difficult for a single person to finish the entire thali. Avg cost for 2 Rs.800

Must try their chole batura. Paratha has too much of butter . Batura scores higher than their parathas.

Amazing food. If you are in Mysore, highly recommend coming here. This was my second time in Mysore, and the food was just as amazing as it was in 2019. We ordered Chola bhatura, Aaloo parantha and fruit cream. Aaloo parantha is big and heavy and good for sharing. Loved the parantha. Must haves! Kapoor’s café is always satisfying the taste buds 😋. I was here this time for my mum’s birthday and she absolutely loved the food. Thank you for amazing food.

Authentic Punjabi restaurant in Mysuru. They serve hot and delicious food. Dry fruit lassi, gulab jamoon, Dal Makhani, ghee phulka and rabdi is the best here. Service needs some improvement.

The food was very tasty and worth the price! Authentic Punjabi food! Try must here 😋

The best chole bhature i ever have!
Rani Rathi
Please dont order the exotic combos over apps. The quantity isn't even 1/4th of what you get in the restaurant. You'll feel cheated out of your money like I do.

In my life I hav had bad food. But this was the worst food I could ever taste. The food had only chilly powder and no other masalas. Being punjabi food oriented restaurant, chole masala was worst. I mean I can starve instead of having chole masala from here. And kadhi was uncooked and besan pakoras were stil raw and had foul taste. I wil make sure none of my friends and family to step their foot here again.
Aditi Shekhar
Wish I could give it 0 stars. Worst food I have ever eaten in my entire life. All the items we ordered were either too too spicy, too too too salty or tasteless. Never ordering from here again and would never recommend this place to anyone. The starters are not at all punjabi. I don't know how people can just send out such bad food to customers. I'm sure even the people who cooked it can't eat their own food. It's overpriced. Thousands of rupees down the drain. Please don't waste your money like me.

Just love this cafe.. awesome.. I love aloo paratha so much.. this cafe is enough to satisfy your cravings.. just try their cheese burst paratha.. awesome.. shahi tukda, malai kofta is mind-blowing also.. worth it..

We began with nice gooey Cheese Pataka Balls and crispy, spicy Paneer Pakoras. Both of them were great starters.

We then went ahead for Combo 4(I found it to be the perfect combo) but as we thought that wouldn't be enough for our large group we also had the Cheese Paranth, Mix Parantha, Aloo Parantha, Paneer Parantha and the curries Paneer Degohi Delhiwala and Paneer Do Pyaaza. One spicy and the other sweet, both went really well with our stuffed paranthas and plain paranthas. My favourite being the Cheese Parantha for obvious reasons.

We finished with some cold Lassi and Chaanch. I even loved their Boondi Raita and rich Fruit Cream.

A must visit place with tasty food and great ambience. The service could be a little faster but it was all fine towards the end. Would love to visit again

If you are in mysore and bored with south indian food and want to satisfy the taste bud with spicy food then welcome to Kapoor's cafe .
Kapoor's cafe is a best place for spicy food lovers as the ambience is lit with a punjabi feels.
And lassi is the center of attraction .
Gulabjamun oh goshh, they are so luscious and mouth watering.
And the paan too outside the cafe is must try for the perfect end.

Kapoor's Cafe, Kalidasa Road, Mysore

Kapoor's Cafe is a popular punjabi food chain in Bangalore and few months ago they have opened their branch in Mysore too. We ordered one onion and one paneer paratha which are served with dollop of butter and some diluted spicy chutney. Punjabis are generous so are this parathas, it's a king size paratha almost thickness of an inch and may be equivalent to 2-3 parathas what we get elsewhere. Parathas are usually eaten with pickle & curd but here curd is not served with paratha and they charge additional 40rs for half cup of it if you want. Parathas were nothing fascinating and I felt Tiwaris chain in Bengaluru does it more delicious.

We ordered Paneer Butter Masala Combo which had 3 big size phulkas, paneer butter masala, aloo jheera, small portion of rice and bhoondi raitha. Phulkas were good, paneer butter masala was little spicy, aloo jheera was completely bland. Lassi was served in tall patiala matka which was delicious but 150rs for that is hard to justify same applies for the Rice Kheer which was filled with small pieces of almond but priced 200rs.

They have recreated the dhaba ambiance of punjab with cot made of coir & fancy serial lighting but tables are kept too close which makes the clumsy ambiance and may be suffocating on weekend crowd. Service is swift & friendly, pricing is expensive for the food, ambiance they offer and tier 2 city like Mysore.

Taste: 3/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Value For Money: 2.5/5

Eat like a KING
The generous amount of everything with top quality in every bite is what you get at Kapoor's
Not a big fan of vegetarian food so i opted for paneer and khasta meethi paratha and it was HUUGGEE, the quantity the quality was A grade.
The service right from the welcoming till we finished eating paan was absolutely fantastic. Let's get down to the rating - we ordered less but ate plenty
1. Lassi - 5/5
2. Khasta meethi paratha - 5/5
3. Paneer tikka masala - 3/5 (paneer should have been softer)
4. Masala cold drink - 5/5

Like i said i am not a big fan of veg food so, it was the quantity and quality of the food i looked into rather than the taste itself. Still paratha and lassi were flavourful, the paneer peices was little disappointing. Overall if like veg punjabi food you will love it . Cheers

The cafe took 45 mins to delivery parathas and panner kadhai. The waiters didn't have courtesy to give spoons and plates. On the top of the that, when asked for the spoons he took ten mins to give a spoon. The waiters are extremely pathetic in behaviour, and forget to bring things even after repeated requests. Definitely not suggesting to go there. The cafe seemed unable to handle customer during lunch hours

It is difficult for a North Indian to find authentic Punjabi food in the Southern part of India. Kapoors cafe did more than justice to satisfy our cravings. The dal makhani was superbly delicious. Just watch when you order your paranthas. Those are not just paranthas, they are king size paranthas. 1 parantha is sufficient for one person. Every food element was yummy and delicious. If you are a North Indian and are travelling down south to Ooty via Mysore, this is the best place for you. Thanks Kapoor’s Cafe, I wish that I had taken a few more pictures.

The ambience is good and the theme is like punjabi pinds. You will get best quality punjabi food here. Lassi and chaas are must try.

So the waiter pulled off chair while my mother was about to sit.. It all started when we were rushing for lunch in Mysore and found kapoors cafe near by, we were avoiding going to this place as we had horrible food experience in bangalore hsr kapoors cafe. It tasted like stale food being served. Now coming back to the situation... they don't let the customers sit on the chairs if you are opting to sit on the cot. This is there so called rule. As we have small kid and eledrly accompanying us we thought a cot and add on chair will be comfortable ..i pulled in a chair for my mother and as she was about to sit, a waiter just pulled it off. She noticed it immediately and an accident was avoided. We called manager "an arrogant person", didnt listen to what we are saying and kept repeating.." this is the rule.. cant have a chair while you are sitting on a cot". Least bothered what his waiter did.
Be aware of both food and staff ettiquitte before you decide to go there.

Kapoor's cafe is a popular Punjabi food chain spreading across Bangalore and now making it's way outside Bangalore as well.

Ambiance:
-One can opt for normal table/chair or nice and comfy wooden cots and pillows.
-Highlights: Colorful, Framed pics of memes on Punjabi culture, roof top..etc
-Some Punjabi songs were played in low volume, we were out by the time remixes were played loudly.

Service:
-Attentive and courteous.
-Takes around 10-15 minutes to get the ordered food.

Food:
-Pindi chole bature: Two big pieces of bature were served with dry pindi chole(Delhi special), dry aloo curry, green chutney and veggies. I liked the curries but Batura wasn't easy to digest, which made me vomit later.
-Missy roti: Thicker than expected.
-Ghee phulkas: Filling.
-Veg gravy: Spiciest we have had till date, which was mentioned on the menu. Don't order this if you can't handle spicy!
-Sweet lassi: Thick and too sweet.
-Buttermilk: The only item that I liked here.

Conclusion:
-We were definitely not happy/satisfied after the dinner here.
-Expensive.

Food: 2/5
Service: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
QFM: 1.5/5

My mother asked for hot water and they said "idhar hot water nahi bantha" and she continued coughing. For a chain that boasts of awesomeness, I found this hopeless. Sorry.

Kapoor's first outlet in Mysore is amazing as it's branch in sharadha Nagar. I had chance to have my breakfast here.

The ambiance is amazing with their rooftop Dhaba. The posters and graffiti is always my favorite here. I start my breakfast with some Paratha one was aloo paratha loaded with aloo and the gobi Paratha best is their way of loading it with butter 😁

I also had their chola batura . Chole was amazing. Well cooked and taste was authentic. And the batura was soft and served hot. Amazing taste. The lassi and chaas here are worth trying.

I would never deny their amazing lassi. Great place to have Punjabi breakfast.

If you are looking for Authentic Punjabi Cuisine (very rich and healthy food), then this place Kapoor's Cafe is the right choice.

Visited this place on the weekend for breakfast and the crowd is very good in number with a nice playlist in the background. Ambience is just an amazing place and a great experience.

Ordered Matke Di Drink- Dry Fruit Lassi Patiala Glass, Really loved the taste. One of the best places where we can find tasty Lassi.

Ordered couple of paratha's, namely Aloo Paratha, Gobi Paratha, Paneer Paratha. they are served along with Makkan & Amul Butter. Taste is so yum and healthy too.

The show stopper for this place is Pindi chole and Bature. A must-try dish at this place. Love to have this as many times as of till tummy is full ;-)

Without dessert, any meal is incomplete. Tried Dry Fruit Kheer and its best I ever had anywhere else.

Fresh home made butter, that was nice.

Must try Chole Bathure. Especially the Pindi Chole that was messmeresing and lip smacking.

Thick Lassi was enjoyable. On our visit to Mysuru, we ensured we eat at Kapoor's cafe, one of the most renowned names in Punjabi food in Bengaluru. It was like finding home in a tourist place! We ate to our heart's fill, trying their makhkhan wale gobhi and aalu paranthe served with curd and chutney! I also tried puri and aalu chole sabzi, but they won my heart with their pindi chole and bhature! Topped with a glass full of chaach and a bowl of chawal kheer, this place made my otherwise great day only better!
The Hungry Hoots
From their multiple outlets in Bangalore to now expanding in Mysore with their all Punjabi dishes restaurant got me covered on my trip to Mysore this time. Enjoyed the food and the ambiance at their fun-filled true punjabi themed cafe. loved the funny but true punjabi facts they have posted on the walls creating such a welcoming and warmth filled experience.
Best Items I tried:
10/10 for their Aloo Parantha and Gobi Parantha with home-made white butter.👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Pindi Chana with Puri...Must try🤤

The best place to have some Punjabi breakfast in Mysore. The Ambience is very beautiful and makes us feel home with village style cots..
.
We started with some lassi served in earthen glasses, which was a plus point. One of the best lassi I have ever had, full authentic Punjabi style sweet lassi with lots of almonds toppings.
.
Then their gobi paratha and Aloo paratha were king size, thick with lots of fillings served with curd and white butter and ghee. Then we had the best Pindi de chole and bhature. The bhature were really soft and tasty. The normal chole masale were also spicy, rich and tasty enough.
.
We ended our breakfast with some delicious north kheer and sweet paan. The kheer is a must try here. Very cooperative staff who makes you feel home and serve food with pure love.
.
Ambience 4/5
Taste 5/5
Quality 5/5
Quantity 5/5
Value for price 5/5
Parking lot available in basement..

If YOU are north Indian, looking out some desi / punjabi North Indian food, place is for yo, a bit expensive but taste is good. Tried dal makhani with mix parathas. NOTE : No tandoor items available

My go to place for a good breakfast in Mysore. I love the paranthas and chole bhature here. The ambience is nice and vibrant and reminds me of a typical Punjabi Dhaba. They have the charpoy seating too. I tried the aloo and pyaaz paratha with raita. Also had the poori choley and typical Delhi style Pindi Chole Bhature. Parathas are served with white makhan and butter. A tad greasy but taste is great. The chaas was very refreshing. The rice kheer is delicious particularly when served cold.

Overall verdict - Recommended

No better place to enjoy authentic punjabi desi khana rather than Kapoors Cafe. Dropped by to have lazy breakfast on weekend & it was heavenly..

Started off with aloo pratha & Gobi Paratha - went ahead with white makkan for topping it.... It was lovely
Then tried our hands on pindi chole bathure - not a big fan earlier, but this pindi chole here definitely needs special mention... It was a real treat.. #MustRecommend
Poori chole is another good one which reminded my North Indian friends to feel like home 😀

Finally gulped myself with the big glass of Lassi.... Not a big fan of lassi, but these guys make it the best.. Can't stop until finishing one full glass 😁
You can guess by its name what cuisine they serve. They make best authentic Punjabi food. The ambience was fully Desi with vibrant colors and Punjabi cot (khatya). The normal chair table was also there if you are not comfortable to sit on khatya.

We went there for breakfast and what delicious breakfast it was. It was truly Punjabi taste. We enjoyed every bite of it.

First we ordered chole bhature- it was remind me of Delhi Wala chole bhature. Soft bhature with lip smacking chole. You won't find this authentic taste any where else.

Aloo and Gobi paratha was amazing. Super soft parathas with masaladar stuffing. The white makhhan on top of the paratha make that more yummy.

Must not forget to order their lassi. Thick, creamy one glass of lassi I couldn't finish it in on go.

Apart from their delicious food, their hospitality was outstanding. Must visit this place when you are in Mysore.

Kapoor's Cafe is vibrant and colorful, it's located on roof top (3rd floor) and it's colorful decor catches your eyes. They have Punjabi Dhaba style seating ( khatya with takya ) and Traditional Chairs and Tables ( if you are not comfortable)

We ordered Chole Batura which was really amazing, it reminded me of Delhi Chole Bature Puri with Pindi Chole (black Chana) sabzi, Alu Paratha and Shredded Gobi Paratha was amazing. They had put sufficient amount of filling unlike other places where we literally search for filling and they serve these Parathas with White butter which is prepared in-house.

Everything was cooked to it's perfection, taste was amazing. It reminded me of Delhi where we get one the best North Indian Breakfast. Everything filled with lots of butter and ghee.

One of the thing which stands out is their service which is Incredibly amazing. They ensure we are having great time, service is quick and they ensure everything is alright. Everyone's is very friendly and polite and genuinely they make attempt to give you royal treatment with their kind words. One of the stand out place when it comes to hospitality. They make you feel important.

Must visit place if you want to try Best of Best Vegetarian Food in Mysore.

After trying Kapoor's cafe food in Bangalore, got chance to get into their Mysore outlet and food is as amazing here as in Bangalore's outlets.

The Aalu Paratha was super stuffed with masala aalu and the homemade butter served with it made the taste even blissful. Gobhi Paratha was equally tasty when it comes to the stuffing. Their Punjabi lassi served in Kulhad is just drool-worthy any time and so is the chaach.

In heavy food, tried the Chole Bhature along with the dry Pindi chole and this is a must try dish here. The Pindi chola had aroma and taste of authentic Punjab food. They also serve some palate refreshing sweet Paan once you are done with food.

A Must go place for any kind of North Indian food lovers though it is just a Pure Veg Place.

Food : 5
Ambiance : 4.5
Service : 5

Looking for the right combination of food and ambience this is the pick. A pure veg restaurant serving punjabi food couldn’t get better. Not enough? A breezy roof top restaurant where we have cots to sit on and gobble down the food is just the right way to end a long day. The lassi there is a must have. If you want to have authentic punjabi khaana, this is the place to visit. Though I stay in Bangalore, after having aaloo ke parathe here, I made my mind to drop into this place every time I come to Mysore. The best aaloo ke parathe I had till date, served with unprocessed white butter!
I came here for breakfast and tried various types of parathas, chole bature and puri. Chole was also nice. Not to forget the chaas and lassi- mind blowing!
We also had chawal ke kheer as a sweet dish. Staff is super good and very very friendly.
I just loved their food and visit again when I come to mysore...

Follow mad.over.f00d on Instagram.
Kapoor's Cafe is one such place I can give a 5 star rating no matter which outlet I visit.
Happened to visit this one in Kalidas Road, Mysore.
The "charpai"(bunk) seating with colourful bolster pillow, walls adorned with funny and quirky punjabi quotes, makes the ambience at Kapoor's , a statement.
Started the meal with some chilled buttermilk and lassi topped with a smiley :)
Went there to have a brunch and it was the right decision as only such tasty and calorie dense food can make up for clubbing two meals into one. :P
They serve thali sized parathas. We tried Gobi paratha and aloo paratha.
Gobi paratha has shredded gobi with lots of onions, chillies and full of spices.
Aloo paratha was my favorite. Perfectly boiled potatoes, mixed with onion and spices. Yummm.
Had both the parathas with freshly made safed makkhan(white butter) which made it all the more amazing.
Next, we had some droolworthy chole bhature. The bhatures are huge and you can opt between regular chole and pindi chole.
Pindi Chole is dry unlike the regular one. I absolutely loved it. The spices are sooo good and on point. I can eat a whole bowl sans the bhature too. Their puris are again very good.
The star of the lovely brunch was the chawal ki kheer. Very homestyle, not very sweet and topped with loads of chopped almonds and cashews, served chilled. Highly recommended.

If you found this review helpful, please do follow me on zomato for more.

Pranthas with homemade white butter at this place is just amazing. Aloo parantha is a must try with a glass of chaas. Chole bhutra with punjabi and pindi chole is a good eat. Chawal ki kheer is delight for sweet lovers. Good service and dabha style ambiance makes it worth the money.

I came here for a breakfast and loved every single thing served to me. The ambience is as usual has a Punjabi theme with Bollywood music and the service is very fast and coordinated.

I had the best Aloo ke Parathe here. They served Parathe with white butter which was just drool worthy. Even their Gobi ke Parathe were so delicious & flavourful that I could not resist taking one more.

Atlast, their Pindi chole and Bhature! Bhatures were soft and fluffy and chole were tasty. At the end in dessert, their Chawal ki kheer is a must try.

I could still remember the buttery & flavourful Parathe and I am surely gonna visit this on my next visit to mysore.

Ambience - What makes this place more addictive for Instagram enthusiasts????
Its there punjabi dhaba sitting arrangements with eye boggling interior and frames of energetic punjabi quotes all over the wall and i loved there not so bright lightings with natural sunlight and breeze in abundance against the smart choice of using colorful set up with colorful set of charpai, khat, is just amazig for the groupies and family for lunch dinner or breakfast u go any time they are best.... u have no idea of there hospitality, i started loving the punjabis and there down to the earth attitude.. the owner arpit kapoor was just fab, thank you sirji .. and shimon here in mysore took care of us the best..
Food-
had a pleasant morning breakfast, no doubt
they provide a luscious food like ghar ka khana..
the menu is precise enough, to order quick.

Chaas - masala Butter milk with patiala glass, is usually perfect to cool off during summers! This spiced buttermilk was light flavorful and very much refreshing along with my heavy morning breakfast.

Ghobi parathas - stuffed with crushed cauliflower and vegetables, wheat Parathas, were so thin and perfect,,and its a nutritious breakfast, trust me it was heavenly delicious.

Chole bhature - the famous Punjabi dish now added to my favourite list. Chole masala was perfect balance of spices, best bhature i have ever had, Hot and puffed up such big bhature was Perfectly Cooked and presented well Noticing that it was extremely soft not very oily too, must visit the place for this one along with pindi chole too.

Pindi chole -served with bhature, was a classic dish, which was flavoured with large assortment of spice powders, which was alluring and aromatic. I loved it,was spicy and perfect to my taste buds.

Desserts -
Gulab jamun - it was hot and soft enough was just delicious, 5/5.
Fruit cream perfect after a heavy dinner
creamy dessert garnished with more fruits was luscious.

without any doubt its one of the best cafe in Bangalore and mysore where we get a proper punjabi dish with typical punjabi setup.
I will definitely hop back with my family.

Had been to this place for lunch with family. The ambience is very colourful and bright. Located on the 3rd floor above Levi’s showroom. They have dhaba style seating khattiya and also table seating & they do play good punjabi songs. The total seating should be approx 75 pax. To start with we ordered - Gobhi Pakora and Cheese Pataka Balls along with Chaas in Patiala Glass & Lassi in Patiala Glass. For mains - Paneer Paratha, Kachori Aloo, Fulka Ghee, Plain Fulka, Missi Paratha & Boondi Raita. Gravies included - Chole & Kadai Paneer. And lastly Jeera Rice. Everything we ate tasted great and cooked very well. This is one great place for amazing & authentic Punjabi cuisine. The spices, Ghee & Butter are excess in Punjabi food to give that spectacular taste and hence the caution on Front of the menu “in case you want it less please tell us in advance”. The staff were very kind and responded to our questions very well. The service is quick. Overall, a great place for amazing Punjabi food.

So here comes finally to Mysore, the taste of Punjab. If you are a Paratha lover, please do visit this place. You will get the real Dhaba wali feelings with the “Khatiya” arrangement for seating. I don’t care whether you are eating anything or not but Don’t even dare to forget the Lassi. It’s simply awesome bro. I loved the the Chhole bhatura and paneer paratha. I kept 1 * with me because of absence of Non-veg options. But it’s a must visit place for vegetarians including non-vegetarians as well.

A lovely place to eat especially for someone who belongs to the North part of the country or for someone who enjoys Punjabi food. There food is pure ❤.
Ananya Roy
Mostly very oily and spicy and totally average food. The only amazing thing on the menu are the lassis, especially the dry fruit one. The terracotta lassi glasses are collectibles!
Sagarika
Amazing food, proper punjabi style food, which awesome paranthas, one parantha is enough for one full meal. Everything I have had here so far has left me happy. But always wanting to try everything on their menu.
I can vouch for there aloo pyaz parantha, kachori aloo, dal makhni, paneer sabji, and kheer was just too good..
Lassi is authentic punjabi.
This place is the definition of soul food. Being a north Indian in Mysore, whenever I eat their food I feel I am eating food at home. Food heaven!!
Visited the place for lunch last Sunday. Liked the cheese balls & the lassi . Friendly staff and quick service considering we went at peak time.
But the pricing is on the higher side by about 20% is what we felt .

Highly over rated place..Staff is not at all polite..served wrong order, also took money for that wrong order...thay said it was the mistake of a NEW employee..NOT recomended for NEW customers like Us..probably trained customers at this place will know better what they are eating..
They should Not have charged us for the wrong order that THEY Served...inspite of knowing their mistake they were very arrogant...
Thanx to one of the waiters who told us what we were eating...

STATUTARY WARNING
Beware and check your order and bill before you eat and pay here.
Pavithra Ranganayak
It is a Punjabi style restaurant with the beautiful decor. You can see lot of North Indians in this place makes you feel you’re in north India. Here parathas and lassi are a must try. One paratha can make your stomach full so be very careful before you order multiple parathas.Usually weekends will be too crowded post 8 PM.Lastly i must say it’s a vegetarian friendly restaurant.
Adarsh Bhat( Mysuru Street Foodies)
Basically it is a traditional Punjabi Restaurant. The food is be awesome. Don’t forget to try the cheese parata it was awesome. Classy Restaurant. Service is good. If you wanna hangout then this is the right place. Lassi will be mind blowing.
A must Visit Restaurant.

Being holiday today it's been a foodies paradise. Somehow with the help of staff got the seat for two. Ambiance is superb with desi style sitting 'charpai', normal tables also available, lighting, added to this punjabi beat music playing background makes it more realistic. Ordered food Cutlet / Missi Roti / Veg Kadai and Ghee Rice. It served on time and the food taste was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the authentic punjabi cuisines. Staff was helpful and it's been cleanly maintained. Billing was too hassle-free and done within minutes inspite of rush at billing counter. Overall it's been a good evening outing with 'Punjabi Foods'. A must visit place for all foodies.
Vikram
We ordered 4layer paranthas but they delivered plane paranthas . I vomited in the night due to dry fruit lassi which was prepared long before . Worst food ever eaten

We visited this place on our visit to Mysore recently. People looking for authentic Punjabi dish will be too satisfied by the food served here. Polite staff and lip-smacking dishes. However the chawal kheer was below average and we had to waste the whole thing.

This place has very different ambience kind of Punjabi style.
I always wanted to have this kind of Punjabi thali and now I have one in my bucket.
The service is very good.
The dalmakhani combo was mediocre, but the cheese balls were fantastic.
Coming to lassi and kheer, they were the best I ever had in any restaurant.
Supraja.prasad
This place has some really authentic punjabi cuisine. We started off with Punjabi crispy corn - it was pretty spicy but delicious. For the main course we had combo thali , rotis and dal dhaba. The muttar pulao, alu gobi in the fruit cream in the combo were lip smacking. The buttermilk was also very good. Overall good experience, will definitely visit again to explore more options.
Avinash
Authentic punjabi restaurant.. the ambience is great which gives you a feel of dhabas on highways. Took 2 thali combos. Both were delicious. Would recommend the kadhi thali. Salt was slightly on the higher side so was the price. Do not miss out on the lassi. Would definitely recommend

This cafe gives vibes of Punjab!!! Food taste was good!Ambience could be improved!! Staff was quite friendly and helpful! Lassi was great and even paratha. It’s bit expensive!! Otherwise overall it’s good.
Bon_Appetit;)
Well, opted for home delivery...
Would love to say the best decision to order food from this restaurant.

Our first time, and the food was way beyond expectation, and that means there would be more orders in following days...

Pictures of the outlet looks fabulous, would surely visit once

Our order was,
Patiala Lassi
Poori Aloo

Nailed it.... Lassi was the thickest and so satisfying... loved the cup, couldn’t resist without a click.

Good and great food... good luck 😊

Edit review: time and again we did order from here, there were times we faced issues with regards to the quality... few times, the Puri was equal to paapad couldn’t eat and the matka containing lassi, we could see the mud particles in it which was little disappointing. 😕

Food was excellent , but the ambience is a typical punjabi dhaba style setup except that you will feel it on 3rd floor of the building ,
Would love to again dine with family and friends
A must place if you want taste punjabi style of food
Thank you Kapoor’s Cafe
Susmita Bakshi
It was a pure joy to get the amazing north indian flavour in south India. It felt like I was in Punjab. The dhaba style decoration, Punjabi songs, the aroma of pure desi ghee made me fall in love with the place.I had the best lassi there and ghee marke chapati, paneer butter masala. Food delivery can be a bit faster.

I have seen many punjabi restaurants where there foods are popular for their taste as sometimes difficult to select what to have.
But here in kapoors cafe nothing much I found or any special ..
Taste: Normal
Quantity: Less
Ambience: OK
Totally Just ok ..

Never ever try lassi.. same as nandini lassi.. not at all worth trying too

Tradition, taste and cleanliness. You'll find everything here. Delicious and classic Punjabi food with a lot of spice and butter. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The paranthas and cheese starters are a must try! The typical dhaba ambience takes you all the way to Punjab.

Kapoor's cafe is hands-down the best place to have some authentic punjabi food.

They have some unique starters- French Fries Punjabi Style(spicy) and Cheese Pataka Balls being my favourite. The cheese balls filled with some desi punjabi flavours are just the best. The chilly garlic chutney served along with it is definitely to die for.

Also, they are well-known for their parathas. The Aloo Pyaaz Paratha, which is topped with a generous amount of desi butter is the classic. You can have it with some delicious Veg Kolhapuri, which is also one of my favourites. One can perfectly end this heavy meal with some Lassi.

Though the prices are a bit on the higher side, you will not regret it for it's taste.
If you're a veggie kapoor's cafe is the best place to go in mysore.

We ordered
1. Paneer pakoda
2. Combo 8

1. The paneer pakoda was average. We didn't like that.

2. This place is usually gives an ambience of dhaba feeling and food is really good especially those paratha is unimaginable and a single plate fills up ur tummy. The chole and bhature is also famous here. The price is little expensive. You got to pay a price when u get food in a different cuisine destination.

Great ambience. Those rustic cots, diwans and the lighting sets the tone.
Ordered three varieties of parathas - aloo, paneer, matar. They came with butter. Had to order dahi separately.
Combos were great too. Buttermilk and lassi were served in mud tumblers which tasted and looked great.
An apt place for a fun outing with friends.
Thindipotha
They've nailed it....Authentic Punjabi style food and having food seated on the khatiya, hmmm... gives the rustic feel.

Service is quick and food is tasty.... They've tried to retain their edge by not adding too many items in to the Menu.

Owing to time constraints, I ordered a Punjabi kadhi combo and it turned out to be really delicious and the quantity was quite sufficient.
Mysore has been waiting for such a eat-out for a long time now.

A big Thumbs up...

Very cool place with a good music. Food was good. A little congested place. Gets too crowded, needs to manage the crowd properly on weekends . Overall a decent experience

We were two people. Ordered Matar Paneer Combo, Paneer Butter Masala Combo 1 Masala Cold Drink, 1 Normal Cold drink, 1 plate Gulab Jamun. Total Bill around ₹ 750/-.

Service: It was packed as its Saturday night. It took time to give order. Also took time for order to arrive. Staff was well behaved though. Served Masala Colddrink in paper glass which started soaking liquid few minutes after.

Taste: Not upto expectations. Had a good experience from KC(Bangalore) before when we had parathas. Both gravy dishes were too spicy, even if you ignore chilli, PBM was very basic in taste. Roti was good so does Aaloo jira. Masala Cold drink had too much of Masala added to it throat was burning while drinking & they served it in paper glass which started soaking liquid few minutes after. For Normal cold drink they just handed over small Cold Drink bottle. We had to order Sweet after all that spicy food. Just Gulab Jamun costed ₹ 150/- (2pc) so had big expectations but it again disappointed us. It was big but lost its softness & smoothness seems like heated up in Microwave.

Ambience: Good & lively, gives you a feel of dhaba.

Value for Money: NO, for 3 reasons: Gulab Jamun aggresively priced, Rice portion in Combo too small, taste not upto expectation

Overall: Not a very pleasent experience with food. I would still recommend to have paratha there they make it really good. Also, they don't make any Tandoori items so don't expect tandoori roti or any tandoori items, like you get in almost every Punjabi restaurant worldwide.
Sourav Khanna
Nice place in mysore which "consistently" serves good and palatable food. Taking 1 star away as they do not have tandoor items.

Cheese shot and lassi are the must haves. Good portion sizes.
