Review Brahmin's Soda Factory - Mysuru (Mysore)

Anirudh Gargi
Small quaint shop where not much has changed in decades. Be it recipe, menu items, serving hall, chair, billing counter or the staff. They serve a unique root extract deeply link colored aerated drink. Something different, owner shared has some digestive properties. Other things that i saw locals eat was fruits with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They serve rose milk too. This was my favorite.

enjoyed a refreshing and perfectly-sized glass of rose milk at this hole-in-the-wall shop while shopping in the area! my friend got the fruit salad with ice cream as well. most customers seemed to be ordering the badam milk or rose milk.

I visited this place when I went to Mysore. I have tried authentic ice creams in the coastal part of Karnataka. Apart from that this place has authentic ice creams and juices. Cost friendly, authentic old vibes, tasy ice cream.

Tried Rose Milk and Three in One (Ice cream and fruit salad). Both items were good. Simple menu items. Interiors and overall look have an old vibe to it, in a good way. This outlet is located in a busy commercial locality. So spotting it might be difficult.

Loved this place. Vintage shop. And it's very reasonably priced. I came from Chennai with my friends and we wanted to make sure that we visit this place no matter what. Google maps is kinda accurate or just ask anyone in the market. They will guide you. Refreshing drinks and icecreams on a hot summer afternoon. 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹

Don’t expect anything remotely modern here, it can’t have changed much since it opened in 1934. We had an Orange, very refreshing, a Ginger Milk, fiery, and the top one of the ice cream options which was lovely. It’s not a boutique ice cream parlour but is all the better for it, I hope it doesn’t change for another 89 years.

This is a 1938 establishment using the same techniques to make soda and ice-cream with the equipment they sourced from England. Try their fruit salad and ginger milk. The ginger milk was extremely refreshing after a sunny afternoon.

Very nice place with olden days vibes. Tastiest Lemon soda I have ever had! They also have unique soda combination like sarasaparilla soda. Sarasaparilla is considered as a coolant as per Ayurveda! Even icecream taste good. It’s made in-house! Overall totally worth it. A must visit place when you are in Mysore

An iconic and legendary establishment, it is a must visit for all travelers to Mysore. The oldest ice cream and soda shop in the city still has a huge fan following. Their sodas and hand made ice creams are the best that you can get in Mysore. It is perhaps the only outlet that serves Saraspilla soda (Made from root extract of Saraspilla plant). The staff was so kind. We took Badam milk and Rose milk. Two soothing cups of deliciousness for ₹40, totally worth the price. Tried gudbud which was so good.

A dinkum place for chillers especially which you crave for, in summers... Though a tiny place with a strong smell of ancientness in it, the taste they indulge in their drinks are top notched and comes with no compromises.. Tried their rose milk and I lost myself there by the thickness the milk bore and the essence that was mesmerizing.. Prices are pocket friendly starting from Rs.20 and not exceeding 30. Go for it ❣️ Seer

This place we searched twice but couldn't find. After keen observation we saw it. It's a small shop you might find it difficult if you are visiting for the 1st time. We took "Sogade berina soda" which is 👌👌👌 this is on another level. Do try it. Masala soda is also on point. Must try place if you visit Mysore.

Cheap and Tasty. Gudbud is the best item which we tasted here and cost is Rs 60. Ginger milk and Sarsparila drinks are ok, cost is 20 Rs. Fruit salad is Rs 35 and Icecream scoop is Rs15. Icecream is tasty. Not that much crowded on weekends,Take a seat and enjoy your drinks and icecream.

Do not come back without visiting this place The oldest ice cream and soda shop in the city still has a huge fan following. No frill seating arrangement, their sodas and hand made ice creams are the best that you can get in Mysore. It is perhaps the only outlet in the country that serves Saraspilla soda. Made from root extract of Saraspilla plant, it is still sourced all the way from Kerala. An iconic and legendary establishment, it is a must visit for all travelers to Mysore.

It is the most unique place of Brahmins Soda Factory established since 1934. It is all run by old men. The taste of soda is unique and amazing. I had Lime Soda, SarsaParila Soda(I tasted this soda for the first time with a very unique flavour), and Three-In-One. If you are in Mysore please do visit it!!
